The hotel offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is praised for its friendly staff and delicious food. However, some guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and condition of the rooms, as well as the lack of clarity in the booking process.
- Stunning views of the mountains
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Rooms can be musty, small, and outdated
- Booking process can be unclear and misleading

We had no water or ice, the breakfast in the morning was very terrible. All there was , yogurt, pancakes, cut up fruit, coffee was horrible. Sorry to say, I was expecting a lot more for the price I paid.

Short stay so not much to say
- 4/5
Good stay, felt safe, most everything is walking distance...the water/ice dispenser was not working on the 3rd floor.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and staff was very friendly.

This place was perfect. Location was great! We went for a concert and loved how close it was to stores and the venue. Breakfast was delicious, the restaurant served a delicious dinner… Already booked again for another show in 2 weeks.

We have stayed in this property before, it’s always great, especially if you’re attending an event downtown. This time their computer system was down nationwide, so we were unable to check in, which caused us to miss one event and almost be late to another. But I must say the staff did the very, very best they could to accommodate us and get us in a room as quickly as possible. Also provided an incentive for our inconvenience. Great customer service and we will definitely stay there again!!

The close proximity to the baseball field. I wish there would of been bacon for breakfast

No pool, parking was horrible, no free parking when you stay there !
- 5/5
Breakfast was your standard continental breakfast but was fresh, room was fresh and clean, staff very friendly and assisted if one had a question! Parking either Valet or parking garage down a couple blocks, but all have additional charges.

Channels on the TV suck. Pretty clean. Expensive snack bar. $32 for 2 water bottles, Arizona tea, and a cookie.

Really great stay. Fantastic location and lovely room. The breakfast was lovely - though the breakfast staff were very rushed and grumpy when we asked questions. That was our only negative comment from an otherwise fantastic stay

This staff is professional, which is great! I was looking for something a little more luxury but I thought I booked the other Hyatt. But they were helpful and accommodating for sure. My cleanliness because of my OCD could be a little heightened but overall it was good.
- 5/5
The only thing I wasn't really a fan of was the restaurant. I had the blackened fish tacos which were okay. I had a Blue Moon draught beer and the orange slice had seen better days. The prices were high and had wished that I had stopped at the many other restaurants I passed while out walking. $5.00 for an average bottle of a Starry was steep. I usually stay at the Old Town Scottsdale Hyatt Place but since the concert was a few blocks away this was really convenient. I would stay here again. If I had an activity in the area.

We requested daily housekeeping instead of every other day and were told that would be fine, but our room was only cleaned once during our four-night stay. We also called for towels, coffee supplies, glasses, and toilet paper, and no one ever came. Parking was frustrating as self-park is a block away, while valet is $44/day plus tips. The valet staff were one of the few positives. The ice machine on our floor was broken the entire stay, and getting coffee downstairs was impossible both times we tried. Our “suite” was extremely small with barely any room for suitcases, much smaller than a previous standard room we stayed in here. Also, there is no pool. For the price we paid, the service and overall experience were very disappointing. We would recommend staying elsewhere, as there are many better options nearby.

Location is very walkable to downtown amenities. The graduation venue- beautiful Orpheum Theater- we attended was not only across the street, we were able to see it from our room. Hot weekend visit to Phoenix was memorable… got to know downtown, nearby Roosevelt District and visited two museums and a Japanese Friendship garden in addition to the medical school graduation. All done without a car… hotel is conveniently close to transit and easy access from airport.

Close to the venue I was going to.

The food was excellent. Staff was great. Room was clean.

This was my first time getting a hotel room and it was the best. We were welcomed warmly by staff (Ebony complimented my gf which was so sweet) and the room was cleaned-as-new. Parking was also a good, no-nonsense system that kept our car safe overnight. Overall, the experience was amazing and entirely convenient and I will be more than glad to stay here again one day.

We had a two queen room which was clean and comfortable. The hotel was fold out, mostly by media for the Final Four, but was very quiet. We walked about 1/2 mile to the Arena for the games. There are several shops and restaurants nearby

Bkfast was what you needed...pretty good... Location good as I became more familiar with neighborhood. I am an early riser, so I like to go out early. There were homeless walking around. There isn't many people out, that was a bit creepy, but I got used to it quickly, and it appears harmless..Most staff super nice. The one woman during the day, I believe in charge, rather bland, and certainly could be proactive and nicer.. That one woman in charge...not so nice...

Location When I arrived the room that I was given, had an unmade bed. Have any other king size bed rooms available so they downgraded us to a queen room without compensation for the lesser room value. When I asked about it being a downgrade, they acknowledged it and offered to speak to the manager after we checked out. The room they gave us at the end of the hallway and had a super loud air conditioning and refrigerator. The only quiet place in the room within the bathroom with the door closed. I feel the staff could have been more concerned about the room having not been made up than they did. They need us accept one option without even saying they were sorry or showing concern. When I expressed my satisfaction, the staff member replied “I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.” And because I booked my room on Booking.com, they told me they couldn’t do anything to help me and that the contract with Booking.com states that there are no guarantees that the room will be available or the condition of the room. I explained to them that the experience I had with Booking.com has nothing to do with the experience that Hyatt place was responsible for. And that the experience that Hyatt created reflected poorly on Hyatt not on Booking.com the front desk person didn’t care.

Room was very clean and very good lay out tha made it feel bigger then what it actually was, very good location. Near enough to walk to the sports complex but far enough to stay away from the crowded area. Parking tho in this area is extremely limited. Please avoid taking a big vehicle due to the small compact parking spots and the low clearance.

Hotel would not give a waiver and was going to charge full price to rebook with no credit for what I already paid. I booked at another hotel. I wasn’t about to give the Hyatt any more of my money and I will advise all my customers to book elsewhere.

Clean. Great location. Staff was really accommodating. Only issue was the breakfast on Saturday morning. Not sure what happen because breakfast was excellent on Friday. The Saturday morning breakfast was basically non existent.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly. Rooms were quiet.
- 2/5
Checked in on Friday at 1:30 and was told we would get a text when our room was ready. No text, but returned to the hotel about 6 PM and they said for some reason it wasn’t ready but they could give us a king and sleeper vs the 2 queens we reserved as well as free complimentary breakfast the next morning. I took it since we were tired and needed a room. The next morning for breakfast, something was down in the kitchen so the only options available were oatmeal and cereal vs the traditional breakfast of hot food we were given for free. Nice hotel but will not stay here again due to those issues.

The location was great!! Easy to find any place nearby, shops, stores, restaurants, you can walk as well to a restaurant. Parking is a little complicated to find and you have to pay for iver night, but it was safe. Staff was welcoming and friendly, I bring my two little chihuahuas, they allow pets, you gotta pay a pet fee $75 two small dogs. The room was super clean, the beds were comfortable, it had an extra bed on the coach as well. For a family of 4 with two dogs was perfect. They give you two free water, it has a mini fridge, and you can make coffee in the morning which we love it. We enjoyed our stayed, definitly we will come back!!

- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, easy in and out access, excellent location!
- 5/5
Tommy was clean, staff was friendly, vallets were wonderful. All around great experience
- 3/5
The water pressure wasn’t good as there was a water leak. That caused no breakfast buffet on Sunday.
- 3/5
Yes, but $3.00 for a bottle of water when I paid almost $300.00 a night x3 for a room was annoying.
- 5/5
Location the cleanliness, great breakfast and vallet
- 5/5
Limited cold items, hard boiled eggs, bagels, donuts, fruit and coffee. Not what I expected at 8 am
- 5/5
Our stay was fantastic!
- 5/5
Staff was great housekeeping was a little slow didn’t get room cleaned until almost 5pm
- 5/5
Clean roon. Air conditioning was perfect. Breakfast was great. Venue was right around the corner. Vallet was super helpful.
- 4/5
Only problem Was the spam email I received supposedly from Hyatt to pre-pay my $45 valet parking or $35 self Park. Fortunately I ignored it and parked for $25 in structure. Restaurant was very tasty.
- 5/5
Nice option at the center of Phoenix. Near a lot of good restaurants and close to the airport.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet stay! Close to theaters a downtown restaurants. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere we needed to go. Would stay again!
- 2/5
My stay was great the 35 dollars a day to park. I was on a trip that was all expenses paid. Except I had to pay that. I understand it’s not a lot but I was disclosed.
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent
- 5/5
Great stay and was able to check in early
- 5/5
Rooms where clean.
- 5/5
Perfect room, quiet, easy check in
- 5/5
Great location, nice room. Would stay again if I’m in downtown phoenix
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
Check in was easy and the staff were very nice. During my stay I booked a suite. The room itself was nice but we weren’t able to connect to chrome cast and for being a suite I was pretty disappointed to be only on the second floor (technically the first floor of rooms cause the lobby is downstairs) For the price we paid I thought the view would have been better.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed. Nice service. Good for a business trip
- 5/5
Perfect stay for couple of nights
- 5/5
The room was clean throughout my stay and the staff were very helpful
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly
- 5/5
It was a short but good stay
- 4/5
Overall it was a solid stay. Really my only critique is that it was incredibly difficuly to park my car temporarily to unpack my bags. I called before hand about this and they told me it was okay to park in the valet for just a few minutes while i checked in. I did that, and the valet staff didnt seem to like that and told me that i had to give them my keys. Wasnt a big deal just a little strange. I was ignored for a few minutes when trying to check in while the front desk staff made coffee for another guest (a "welcome, we'll be right with you" would have been nice). But other than that everything else was good. Hotel was nice, rooms were clean and it was a good value for the price i paid.
- 4/5
Parking is annoying that you have to pay extra along with breakfast you figure with the nightly rate being so high it would come with it
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Spectacular service
- 5/5
Convenient location
- 2/5
Staff need to stay off phones and gossip less. Standing around for 15 minutes every time is not enjoyable.
- 5/5
Nice and clean. Service was exceptional! Good atmosphere for my daughters 17th bday getaway.
- 5/5
stayed for my birthday weekend and it was super walkable to restaurants and fun events ! will definitely be coming to stay here again!
- 4/5
Keep it up!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Overall the property was well kept. The gym was nice and had disinfecting wipes and headphones to use. The staff was friendly and the food at Adam’s Table was delicious.
- 4/5
A convenient, central location in Phoenix, walkable to many dining options. Valet parking available. Helpful staff

Staff was kind and courteous. Linens were clean and of good quality. Ice machine was broken and parking a little steep but other than that, everything was great.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Clean room, easy check in and convenient location.
- 5/5
No complaints, great room and staff !
- 5/5
Was a great
- 4/5
convenient location for concert
- 5/5
We were there for a concert. It was a great location, central to shopping, entertainment, dining and cultural events.
- 3/5
Room was clean & fairly comfortable but very small. Hard to move around bed and when the couch is out almost impossible to get around in the room and we are not that large. Staff was not that hospitable from the valet parking, front desk & lounge. They acted like they didn’t want to be there and instead of communicating to guests we had to pull information out of them.
- 3/5
None
- 3/5
There’s no parking available at the hotel, and they charge you for valet parking ($40 Dlls per night), so there’s no option other than to pay. This significantly increases the overall cost of the stay, and they never mention it in advance.
- 5/5
Convenient to our venue
- 5/5
A nice place to rest your head. Food was pretty good and the rooms were quiet. Great for layovers or short stays
- 5/5
Great service, clean room
- 5/5
Nice stay! Parking was a bit expensive overall a great stay , super clean. Staff was nice.
- 3/5
Room was generally clean with some notable exceptions. There were stains on toilet seat and outside of bowl. Also, noticeable amount of hair left behind from prior occupants. The music at night on Thursday evening was quite loud and disruptive.
- 5/5
Everyone was great
- 5/5
great location
- 5/5
great stay
- 5/5
Breakfast included in app but charged, dont mind yo pay but dislke the surprise
- 4/5
The male bar tender was not nice and seemed angry to be working took forever for over priced drinks to be served with attitude. The rooms are not at all sound proof from cars and the bed was not very comfortable.
- 3/5
Room was small. There was no signed as advertised when I booked.
- 4/5
Nice 👍
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 3/5
There was a man’s shirt hanging in the closet and a woman’s belt behind the foot stool.
- 2/5
The room was never attended to despite the fact that I asked for service. No clean towels, and the floors were not clean. I understand we were located downtown, and that it difficult to get a good night sleep. The valet was amazing, and the attendants were extremely helpful
- 4/5
Staff members were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and you could walk to resturants and convention center easily.
- 5/5
The room was spotless, as always! The front desk and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely place to stay! Love the convenience of the location, as we can walk to the various locations that brought us to Phoenix.
- 4/5
Awesome staff! Loved my stay.
- 5/5
This property is perfect if you have a show to go see and want to be walking distance to everything needed.
- 5/5
Great stay. The staff were nice , I was able to check in early after my flight. I will stay here again

Nice stay. Wish the restaurant had better options
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
I dont even know where to start, so cute, so cozy, and so simple! It was everything me and the bestest needed. The staff hands down wouldve gotten a million stars!. Thank you for making my crazy stay so easy and full of smiles!!!
- 4/5
My room was relaxing and perfect for my stay. I appreciate the staff giving me a breakfast recommendation. The hotel is in a great location and I felt safe. My issue was with the thermostat though. I left it at 70 but it felt warmer and I didn’t get great sleep. Valet also took over 20 minutes to get my car when I was ready to leave.
- 5/5
nice staff
- 4/5
Lobby and entry not much to be desired. Rooms need a little better maintenance. No real sit down restaurant.
- 5/5
The Hyatt Place was great - walkable downtown location, great value! Room was clean and the staff friendly. Was in town for a PHX Mercury game and felt safe walking to and from the game alone. Valet was a little slow.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 4/5
Nothing around was open after 11:00 pm when we came back from a concert at The Suns Arena. Other than that, the stay suited our needs
- 5/5
The hotel was great. Easy walk to a lot of activities and the metro line.
- 5/5
Great location and the property looks amazing. Three elevators is awesome service. Highly recommended
- 5/5
Such a great stay!
- 5/5
Friendly Staff
- 4/5
The primary reason for our stay was a reasonable price for a great proximity to our venue.
- 2/5
Our room was far too small for five people, which already made the stay uncomfortable. On top of that, the air conditioning did not work, leaving us in the heat. When we reported the issue, the staff dismissed our concern by saying we were the only guests complaining, implying there was no problem. Instead of fixing the AC or offering a real solution, they handed us a couple of small floor fans. We then had to struggle to find where to place them, which was neither convenient nor effective. Overall, the experience was frustrating, stressful, and not what you expect when booking a hotel.
- 4/5
Went for a baseball game. Super convenient and nice. Would book again.
- 3/5
No parking at hotel, must valet $44 or park in a tower across the street $34. Bottles of water for $3 and no type of complimentary breakfast of any kind. For almost $200 per night, not much value staying here.
- 5/5
Love everything, really a nice experience.
- 4/5
Overall, an excellent property; well-located. quiet and convenient. The only issues were no exhaust fan, low.low toilet. A pet peeve; artificial creamer in the room. Many people, including myself, are allergic to it because of the chemicals and it spoils the taste. Half-and-Half in the refrigerator would be Greatly appreciated. Too many disposable packages at breakfast leading to a landfill nightmare and waste when only half of the contents are used. The staff were accomodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and well-supplied. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Great location for baseball games, concerts at the Financal Theater, close to Airport
- 5/5
This is the second time staying at the downtown Phoenix location to go to a concert at Arizona Financial Theater. The location is perfect to walk to the venue. Hotel and restaurant are great!! Friendly and helpful staff!! We will definitely stay again!!
- 3/5
Expensive for services
- 4/5
Comfortable and clean in a convenient location for enjoying downtown.
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Room was comfortable with an excellent shower. Location of hotel is wonderful, near local restaurants and theater venue
- 5/5
Family-friendly
- 5/5
We like to stay in downtown hotels to walk their streets and see their sights. This hotel is very well located, offers reasonablyevalet parking and provides ready access to the Phoenix downtown vibe. Enjoyed our stay, and would come back again.
- 5/5
Great location very close to restaurants and the theater.
- 5/5
Really clean and functional. Brilliant for Chase Field.
- 5/5
clean, great staff. easy access
- 5/5
Really nice location and super clean. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance.
- 1/5
Not the greatest. Upon arrival the staff was friendly enough but the stench of the carpet on our floor was horrific. Smelled like wet dog or like a 20 year old carpet was cleaned with baby soap. Our room smelled like the sheets hadn’t been changed and the smell of oily hair and unwashed/used and old sheets lingered. The repair job on the bathroom door was coming apart. I had to hold my breath on walk to my vehicle due to the “pet area” stench. It may have been a top tier back in the day but it definitely could use a quick facelift. I mean it with all respect but it wasn’t a pleasant experience
- 3/5
I’ve always love to stay at hayatt in Tempe AZ, totally different attitude and atmosphere. I know I’m just another customer but this is my first and last time at this place.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
I'll definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
parking is expensive but convenient compared to other downtown hotels I've stayed at
- 4/5
Close to concert venues, spacious room and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Excellent service.
- 5/5
Great stay, close to the concert venue we were attending.
- 5/5
Scooters
- 5/5
I loved the location, shower was not functioning
- 2/5
Booked a King bed months before our stay, when we arrived we were notified they were overbooked and there was not a king room available. Why do you book way in advance and not get what you pay for??
- 4/5
The overall stay was good. They do have a bar with some food options and a coffee bar in the lobby which is nice. It’s in walking distance from a bunch of different theatres and fun bars. Only issue is the lack of parking spaces to wait for valet and the valet. Pulling up at night there was a car parkways sideways in the middle of the valet area with no meter spots available. Parked in a 20 minute spot and let the valet know that and they told me it was fine they would move it soon. I go up and come back down to find my keys still on the valet counter by the door and I ended up getting a parking warning sticker on both of my car window. It wouldn’t had been an issue if they just moved the car within the 20 minutes like they said they would. Other than that, overall stay was good. Would stay here again but I’ll park my own car next time.
- 5/5
Very close to downtown events and venues. Safe, clean and friendly staff.
- 5/5
No problems
- 5/5
Kind of small but comfortable. Overall very good.
- 5/5
Very nice staff, walking distance to many things! Parking was very convenient but very expensive.
- 4/5
Great location in downtown Phoenix, especially when attending a concert at AZ Financial Theater. Small, but comfortable rooms. The bed and pillows were perfect. Valet parking was appreciated considering the heat, but it was a bit expensive, and it took about 20 minutes to retrieve our car as the garage is a half mile away. I checked my car location in the morning via my app and noticed my car was left unlocked all night, so I'm not happy about that.
- 5/5
Front desk employees were beyond helpful & nice!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Centrally situated. Clean and nice staff. Excellent food
- 5/5
Great place to stay when you have tickets to a show at one of the nearby venues. It's so easy and convenient to have dinner at the hotel, walk to your show, then breakfast at the hotel in the morning. Also, very friendly staff.
- 5/5
The hotel is in the heart of downtown Phoenix. It was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Everything was great. Just hoped the ac would have been cooler.
- 4/5
Property was overall nice considering the area and f downtown where there are quite a bit of homeless. Paid parking was a block away and a bit expensive considering.
- 5/5
Very clean, staff was amazing, the room and bed was great
- 5/5
great stay will be returning.
- 3/5
We talked to the front desk after first night and when were back the water no longer backed up. However we took the shower the 2nd day, the problem stayed! we talkded to the front desk when we check out, the front desk lady took a note and we're not sure what action she'd take
- 4/5
They charged 45 dollars for valet parking?then never took my car to the parking garage.the parking garage was two blocks away underneath a sky rise after driving all day I didn’t feel like tackling it total bs
- 4/5
Everything was fine. The bathroom shower could have used a little more attention along the bottom of the door. Hey, whatever for valet it is 100% worth it. You do not want to be walking around over to the parking garage to try to find your car.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 2/5
It’s a little unsafe downtown in Phoenix period. Things we did not like about our stay: the service elevators are shared with guest elevators so while you’re on your way up to the room it constantly stops from service trying to grab an elevator. You have the option of self parking or valet. They do not have their own parking garage on property but use one that’s a block down the road. When you show up there is no instruction or direction anywhere of where you can go to check in so you park at a meter to check in to then be directed to self parking garage should you so choose. You don’t get parking instructions ahead of time either when you book or in the confirmation email. That would be helpful. Front desk associate that checked us in gave minimal instruction on where to go to leave the parking garage once you’ve parked so that was fun. The room itself was just meh and we like a nice cold room so we set it pretty low but it never did get “cool” we were told you can scan the parking garage pass to come and go we didn’t end up leaving once we parked until checkout but when my husband went to get the car at checkout it wouldn’t allow him to scan so he had to pay for parking. The garage charged $25.00 from 430p-830a but the hotel charges you $34 per day so they are making a profit on self parking for a garage that’s not even designated for their guests only. The hotel removed the self parking charge since we paid the garage in order to take our car out but it’s worth knowing.
- 5/5
We have stayed at this hotel about 3 times a year for the past 4 year for concerts and baseball games. Sadly the prices have gone up but still the best.
- 5/5
Nothing to share
- 4/5
I would recommend the hotel, and would consider staying there in the future.
- 4/5
No mention of the 34 or 44 valet parking charges
- 3/5
Self Parking garage was a couple blocks away and the ticketing system was terrible. Ice makers weren’t working. Room was typical mid level hotel clean and comfortable. Staff was nice no complaints.
