The main building was being upgraded during our stay. Cannot wait to visit after renovations have been completed
- 5/5
Restaurants and other stores were close by The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also, the price was right Looking forward to my next stay.

They allowed a party one night in their conference rooms. The music was so loud that the entire hotel was disrupted.
- 3.5/5
The Gentleman that took care of our breakfast service was great , he was very social and was on top of his game. Ive been in customer service for 25 years and its great when someone loves his job . He was first class. The bar tender can use some customer service training. Maybe he was just having a bad nite as he had a attitude problem.

My poor rating for this particular hotel is due to very poor Frontier Desk reception treatment I suffered at the hands of apparently only person on duty, Jeremiah Broytes. Jeremiah was rude and was not prepared to remedy obvious issues at Check-in. I had been assigned Room 419 but when I went over the room was not completely ready and I , therefore, requested for a Room change and his response was that I just had to wait. I asked to speak to the manager and ended up calling a number on a business card for Adam P (General Manager) but the call was simply getting back to Jeremiah at the Front Desk. Jeremiah had refused to directly the Manager. It took more than 45 minutes before he finally simply walked over and gave me another Room (403) - no apologies. When I went to Room 403 - the toilet had no running water! I had to call for Service personnel to fix the issue. Fortunately the toilet got fixed. My view is that Hotel has poor overall Hotel Management that allows for an poorly train, unsupervised, incompetent arrogant Intern to manage Customer check-in over a busy Memorial weekend! I was checking in on Friday May 22.

At no point did I feel that the inconvenience or frustration experienced was acknowledged with urgency or empathy. Respectfully, being “under renovation” should not excuse basic operational functionality or poor customer service. More importantly, the active renovation was not disclosed anywhere in the booking app prior to our arrival. Our overall experience - with the exception of the familiar Hilton professionalism and courtesy shown by Andre and Matthew during checkout - reflected a concerning lack of operational readiness, communication, and overall guest care. While I understand renovations can create challenges, guests should still be able to expect functioning room essentials, responsive service, professionalism from staff, and basic cleanliness and security standards.
- 3/5
It was under renovation which wasn’t disclosed upfront. We were there for several days and the room wasn’t being serviced. We finally asked and when we returned all they did is put in new towels. Nothing else was done. I expect more from Hilton. The front staff was nice but the support staff was not good at all. Also why did construction materials and structures get put in half of the front parking making the guests park towards the back?
- 2/5
My room was dirty-food left on the floor by previous occupants, and items were broken in the bathroom-towel hook and toilet seat. Property appeared run-down. My stay had to end early, I checked in for a Mon-Fri stay and had to leave Tuesday. They refused to work with me and insisted on charging me for Mon-Fri for a room I slept in once

We enjoyed our 1 night stay here. Room was refinished and was large. We had our golden doodle with us and he loved it too! Would stay here again if the need arises!
- 5/5
Friendly cheerful staff !

Under renovations...would have been nice to know this when i booked. Had to wait for front desk guy to show up....he was no where to be found when i entered lobby.....waited to be checked in...
- 5/5
Stayed in newly renovated room. Cannot make a mistake.
- 5/5
No complimentary breakfast.
- 3/5
The hotel was under renovation and it did not seem up to the cleanliness standard we were expecting. The staff was accommodating.
- 2/5
Hotels.com should not have booked me because there were no rooms available for the last minute booking, however I must commend the desk clerk working on midnight the 25th, because she was able to call neighbors directly and get me a room for the night. Sadly, I do not remember her name but she was super professional and very helpful to me above and beyond the call of duty.

Staff very helpful and polite, breakfast very good .I highly recommend this place.

The staff at Hilton Garden Inn were very friendly and professional; however, housekeeping forgot to clean our room twice while we were staying there.

We only stayed one night and did not have the breakfast, but we were very pleased with all the hotel had to offer. The location was perfect for us, the lobby was inviting, and the room was perfect for us.

Unfortunately, our room was filthy! The floors were disgusting and looked like they had not been vacuumed/cleaned all week. We asked to change rooms and the second room was just as bad. It was very disappointing.

Gym great but pools and spa not available for use, areas being renovated. That was disappointing. This information should have been on their website.

The room was clean but it took 45 minutes to get checked in because the desk clerk didn't know how and said computer was not working right. Then employees were walking and talking loudly outside in hallway at 3am which woke us and we couldn't get back to sleep. So we showered and left
- 3/5
MY BIGGEST complaint is the grounds. Even before the renovations, the grounds are horribly littered. Particularly behind the hedge where we take the dog to relieve himself. Everything from plastic bottles to syringes back there. CLEAN IT UP!!! If only the outdoor seating looked like the picture...but it doesn't. Its a mess out there.

Did not eat breakfast; for the price of the room, it would have been nice to have a complimentary breakfast. We had to change rooms due to a plugged toilet and heat that didn't work. Nice to have a coffee machine, but with two people there was only one caffeinated coffee Kcup, the rest was decaf. They could be a little more generous with these things, again, as we paid a good price for the room.

Location. Easy to get to 485, restaurants, mall, and 51. Rugs dirty in hall and off elevator, breakfast was subpar for the cost. My tub did not drain after 3 requests, nothing done.

The location was ok if the breakfast could have been included with the hotel price, instead of paying extra on the morning of your breakfast.

The room 225 had stains all over the floor, bathroom floor had dirt spots on floor and the bed was HORRIBLE! When i brought it to their attention. The front desk clerk said they were aware and are remodeling soon.

The room was very clean. Plenty of parking. Staff was very helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Hotel could use a little refreshing in the rooms but definitely not a deal breaker. Would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was clean. The atmosphere was a good atmosphere and the young man at the desk was more than helpful.
- 2/5
Carpet in hallways was very dirty, poop stains in front of our door. Room was a little dated.
- 4/5
The issue we had was with the breakfast! We wanted to order; the cook was upstairs "getting supplies". When he came down, it took forever to get our food - 40 minutes! And we were the only people in the restaurant who had ordered anything. So to make french toast and an omelet took 40 minutes. The waitress was so embarrassed that she didn't charge us the full price, which I appreciated.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean.
- 5/5
Was great can’t wait to go back
- 4/5
I let it run for a few minutes and it cleared up, but I did not have a good feeling about using it.
- 3/5
They need to take their bedrooms to the next level with new things, including smart TVs.
- 3/5
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. the room is pretty good however the curtains didn’t close. The wifi was terribly bad. They only had decaf coffee. overall not that bad for the price.
- 2/5
Front desk did change my room and that evening when I went to sleep, I noticed that the TV is broken. It would not go below volume 15, which is pretty loud. I went to the front desk the following day and they said they would fix it. Two days later, it was not fixed when I went to the front desk they basically shrugged her shoulders and told me to have a great day. This is very own characteristic of the Hilton and they’ve always taken care of me in the past. I would strongly reconsider going to this particular, one in the future.
- 4/5
The bed. Extremely uncomfortable.
- 5/5
The friendly staff and clean facility. I loved everything
- 2/5
We arrived around 3pm but the room wasnt ready until 4:13.
- 2/5
Beds are low, the washcloths are cheap, the pillows are crap ( you need 4 to make 1) the beds are worn out. The bathrooms are dated, this place was horrible.. The hallways smell moldy and feel damp. This is a place where people come to smoke and eat and chill.. from check in to check out, all I smelled was weed. Yes it’s close to Carowinds, and other eatery’s and it’s cheaper… but I’d NEVER stay at this place again… I’d rather sleep in my car. Maybe they have nicer rooms for “Diamond” members. But it’s a no.. if you find a better place for $30 more, spend it and save your time if you want to rest well. I took plenty of pictures. I wish I could post them

- 4/5
The ceiling was leaking in the hallway.and the tras in lobby. Bed was not comfortable this time
- 5/5
Everything was smooth and the staff did an amazing job making us feel welcome.
- 5/5
Staff were wonderful, food was great, only 2 small imperfections, no doggie bags at the animal rest station, and the patio would have been so welcoming if the chairs were organized and the ashtrays emptied, the devil is in the details. That said best sleep ever!

Good hot coffee & lemon water available to everyone. Quiet, comfortable room
- 1/5
My room was extremely moist inside from the poor ventilation. There were no vents in the bathroom and any steam from showers came right into the room. The carpets smell of mildew from all the moisture. The AC was on but it did not help. These rooms need major updating.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was severely outdated

The place is fairly nice but you can tell it was a smoking hotel at one time. The area isn’t bad and there is lots of parking. Everyone here is very nice.
- 2/5
Location was great The room wasn't very clean. We found a really long, gross toenail in our made bed. And when we turned on the bath, the water came out brown at first.
- 5/5
The the location, conditions and cleanliness of the facilities were great. And the price even better
- 5/5
Great stay
- 2/5
The inconvenience started immediate upon check-in when the room keys system was unavailable, and someone had to walk you to your room. Everytime you left your room. The room was not dark at night, and the pillows are uncomfortable. The room was supposed to be handicap accessible, but it was regular height tub that was very slippery
- 5/5
The property was excellent and an ideal location.
- 5/5
The staff was great. Always willing to help with whatever we needed. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Lots of places to eat and the hotel offers food as well. We really enjoyed our stay and will return whenever in the area.
- 4/5
The hotel was convenient to my sister's residence. It was definitely a tired building that neeeds a renovation, but it was clean, secure, and friendly, so I appreciate all that. I need a renovation too, but I'm clean and friendly, so that's the important thing, right?! Thanks to the staff for making my stay enjoyable.
- 4/5

Definitely needs an upgrade. The windows needed to be steamed clean. Bathroom had fixtures from the 90s. Bed wasn’t comfortable. And carpet smelled moldy

Manager Alexander was an evil man I told him I have Covid and have to cancel stay and he still charged me. SMH he told me to come into hotel with my Covid. He was not empathetic at all.
- 1/5
My car was broken into at the hotel parking lot during the night, along with 8 other vehicles (same night). Cop informed me this has happened numerous times at this hotel. AC unit was covered with a thick layer of dust.
- 3/5
The pillows and bed were very comfortable.
- 1/5
No hot water, which was especially disappointing with having a whirlpool in our room. Disgusting carpets, cracks and stains in the ceiling, other people’s hair in the tubs and bathroom in general, busted toilet seat with a rigged job, empty hand sanitizer, empty pool, broken tv in the fitness room. Can’t believe this is a Hilton property. And when I say no hot water, I mean for the whole stay. The staff was kind, friendly and did what they could for us, but that wasn’t much with booking through Expedia.
- 2/5
JJ at the desk was very nice but there wasn’t any hot water. And the pool was out of service.
- 3/5
Pool was down for the duration of our stay and I would have loved if they had a hot tub. The room was great except there was not water pressure and it was difficult to shower. Staff was wonderful and courteous.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Staff is super great as well!
- 4/5
The room that I booked wasn't actually available, but we were given a suite with a queen bed and pull out couch instead. The hotel was clean other than curtains and carpet. The hotel was very quiet, and the staff was friendly.
- 5/5
The staff met my needs with greatness. I appreciate all that they did.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Charlotte. Friendly staff.

- 3/5
Great staff but the hotel can use a refresh.
- 4/5
Staff was great and prompt accommodating us to another room.
- 5/5
Clean, well maintained. Parking lot with plenty of light for night.
- 2/5
They did not give us the room we reserved because we reserved through expedia. Also, they told us breakfast was not included for thosecwho book 3rd party but their website said free breakfast.
- 4/5
Great area. Bar in restaurant very small. Ended up going to a Mexican restaurant close by that had a bar with reasonable beer and wine prices and great, free salsa and chips. Dog fee of $25 per night (free dog biscuits in lobby). Dog felt welcomed. Breakfast, which is not complementary, was ok. This type of breakfast is what we’ve gotten for free at other hotels.
- 3/5
Was a little slow checking in but otherwise a nice stay
- 4/5
The staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Great staff...

For a breakfast I ate, my credit card was charged $55 dollars which is unheard of. I didn’t like it.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient and everyone was nice and helpful.

In town for the race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. I have stayed here several times and everything was great as was this trip. The only problem i had was an inop hair dryer. Will stay here anytime im in the area.
- 5/5
For it to be a hotel by Hilton it was old outdated, nasty. It smells bad the carpet has really really bad stains and it needs to be cleaner. I’ve never stayed out of Hilton that look like this.
- 3/5
Super dirty earlier than that good thing
- 4/5
A little under staffed
- 5/5
Great staff
- 2/5
Next. The pool is not maintained and is filthy, I didn't use it and I didn't see anyone else use it either. Next the supposed bar and restaurant is nothing more than a short order cook in the lobby. Last and most sadly. First of all our room was not ready at check in. They had every excuse in the world instead of just getting it ready. Eventually they gave us a room, that had not been cleaned yet. So after complaining I'm told to go wait in the dirty room and they'll bring a key for a new room. After 20 minutes nobody came so I went back downstairs and low and behold there was no clean rooms available for me. After another 10-15 minutes of arguing it got so bad that the hotel manager literally went up and cleaned the dirty room I was given. I got my clean room about an hour and a half after check in. For my troubles I was given 2 tiny bottles of wine. Horrible service in every respect.
- 4/5
The stay was good hotel rooms were a little outdated. There was old water damage on the ceiling in several spots.
- 5/5
The hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful and accommodating. The room waa extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here
- 4/5
Quick, last-minute trip to Charlotte. The hotel was clean but small; I expected more from a Hilton Hotel. However, the staff was pleasant, accommodating and responsive.
- 4/5
Nice place in good location
- 5/5
Love this hotel, we liked it so much we extended for another night
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Clean friendly staff quiet family friend or individual
- 5/5
Wish they would make the small investment of having maintenance stain the furniture where they are scratched and worn. It would really turn the rooms around and it’s the first thing I see at check in. Otherwise would recommend and stay again.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
In a great spot. Plenty nearby.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the jacuzzi room. The room was clean to my liking. However, the furniture could be updated but I enjoyed my stay and I was asked through text how things were going. I would stay again.
- 3/5
I stayed two nights and due to the technology outage, I was never issued a room key. The front desk had to ask the security guard or maintenence guy to let me in my room. The hallway rugs were filthy, the room was musty and rug needed shampooing, too. The bed mattress was a 6 out of 10 in comfort. Not the best Hilton Garden Inn I have stayed in, by far. It needs a makeover. Staff was friendly.
- 1/5
If you leave your room you can’t get back in unless someone from their staff lets you back in because they can’t issue key cards for your rooms do to the nationwide system failure. Big inconvenience the rooms should have been cheaper as a result of this ,and they don’t tell you about this issue until after you have checking in and have your room deposit.
- 1/5
Arrived at 12:00 pm to check In And was told that they did not have a room for our reservation. Spent over 1 1/2 hrs there n the phone with a hotel.com agent with 0 help. Finally found a new hotel 30 minutes away myself
- 1/5
Horrible condition… shower did not drain… mold in room… all around dump
- 3/5
I have higher expectations for Hilton properties. This one did not meet them, but charged a pretty penny. Hallway carpet were worn. Weather stripping on room door was falling off. They let in pets, so we had loud dogs next to us. Some people got free breakfast, but you do NOT if you book through Hotels.com, and they wanted too much for a rather paltry offering. Lobby was cluttered. Pool was nice and gym was serviceable, though the gym TVs did not work.
- 2/5
We stayed in room 224 and there was a door slamming sound staring from the time we checked in. We thought it was people checking etc, but the noise continued through the night. We did complain but there was no action taken. We were offered a late check out, but the noise continued. Someone needs to check this out.
- 5/5
Great location for my needs. Everything you need is within minutes away.
- 4/5
Would stay again.
- 3/5
The rugs were really dirty. Breakfast was not complimentary.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Beautiful, clean, and friendly. Breakfast was great for just a comp
- 5/5
Excellent property! It felt very different here than in other hotels-more peaceful! That church you have meeting there is doing something powerful to the place.
- 2/5
Stink bugs in room, no room cleaning between days, exhaust fan not working, shower pressure poor with inconsistent hot water
- 5/5
The staff was kind and friendly.
- 2/5
I ordered the whirlpool suite and the whirlpool didn't work. The desk attendant left me standing there for almost 45 minutes and refused to address the issue. Travelocity customer service had to intervene and resolve the issue.
- 5/5
Everything was great for my stay here! I will be back!!
- 5/5
Welcoming front desk, comfy beds, quiet night. A great stay.
- 3/5
It sounded like the door was open you could hear everything ppl said down the hall. The shower made awful noises
- 5/5
Was in town for a concert. Had stayed here before and loved it so I thought I would return. Great choice! Friendly, helpful staff! Clean room, comfortable bed! Only negative is housekeeping knocked on door at 7am, but I had forgot to put my Do Not Disturb hanger on the door so totally my fault, not hers. She was simply diligently doing her job. Kudos to her!
- 4/5
Usual good quality as expected for this level hotel
- 5/5
Location
- 3/5
I guess for the price I expected it to be nicer than it was. On Saturday morning we woke up to a strong smell of marijuana outside our door. There were a bunch of drunk guys hanging out in the lobby on Friday night when we arrived. The tub was rusty. The water pressure was weak. All the people that worked there were really nice and it was comfortable and clean enough, but the things I listed just left a bad impression.
- 1/5
Was not greeted, just was asked for my ID. I handed here my ID and card and she put it on the counter instead of handing it back to me. Never told me where my room was, the elevator, nothing about the place. Room was nasty. Horrible….Our backs hurt from laying in the hard bed and went to get in the whirlpool and black stuff was coming out when we turned it on. The room had a draft and all. One of the maintenance guys was very nice held the elevator and ask how we were doing. While the others stood by the door and smoked and looked at us like we were in the wrong place. Tub had missing pieces and walls had patch jobs and it seemed old and smelly. Next morning was greeted by a beautiful young lady with long beautiful hair who was so very nice. I willl NEVER EVER come back here.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. I reached late in night and chef was about to close their kitchen, lady at the front desk still made an effort to get talk to chef to get me something to eat.
- 4/5
The space in the room was humongous.
- 5/5
That is one of the things that makes the experience. The engaging of staff. I make my recommendation based on my travel experiences.
- 5/5
As slways a wonderful stay with helpful staff great breakfast and really nice and clean
- 5/5
Had a great time with the staff. Treated me like family honestly
- 5/5
Not sure why there is a charge for pets when it doesn’t look you are using the fee to clean messes in carpet !
- 3/5
The hotel was fine. The only negative was the extra charges. I realize that I’m an unsophisticated traveler but it still bothers me to be charged $15 extra for parking and $7.50 each for “continental breakfast” which is assumed to be free in the lower class hotels where we usually stay. It is absolutely true that I should have read the fine print better before booking. So should you.
