The HVAC units are a huge problem here. They’re mounted on plywood in each room and are terribly loud. Very difficult to sleep. You can hear them roaring in the hallways too. Many people were complaining and trying to find quieter rooms. HUGE issue if you want good sleep.

Clean and quiet room

We couldn’t get good sleep be cause of the loud humming sound. We asked for room change for second night and front desk immediately assigned us new room at the ground floor. The sound was less loud in the second room.

The service was outstanding: every request was handled with a smile, and the team went above and beyond to make my experience special. The dining options were excellent, offering a variety of fresh, delicious meals with something for every taste.

The service was excellent! We got a complimentary ride from the airport. Even though our flight was 30 minutes late, the shuttle driver waited for us at the airport. Then everyone was very welcoming offering free water bottles every day and also an apple when we were leaving early and didn’t have time for breakfast. Also, the food at the Erie Grill was excellent and included some healthy options.

Beautiful property and very well maintained

The beds were a bit more firm than we’d love, but everything else was excellent. We stayed here for our wedding night and the amenities they offered to us to make our stay extra special were just delightful.

Our go-to hotel when traveling to Rochester, the Del Monte is not overwhelmingly large, has a great staff, is convenient to many local destinations and always provides top notch service. Highly recommended.

The property is in a fantastic location. The room however is quite depressing. It is incredible dark. I mentioned that to them and they said they would give me an extra lamp. It would not make a difference. I enrolled in keyless entry and they did not know how the process worked on my phone

This is a beautiful hotel in the village of Pittsford, right along the Erie Canal. There are lots of walkable places to go, including the Pittsford Dairy directly across the street and the village shops just across the canal. Hotel was quiet, room was spacious with lots of room to spread out a bit. The lounge chair with the fur throw was very special for a cold December night.

We had to arrive early do to weather ( lake effect snow around the Great Lakes) and was very pleasantly surprised that we were able to check into our room several hours earlier! Front desk staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. We are definitely going to book again. Quant location with a spa.

The stay was nice although I feel the price I paid was not worth it. The room was EXTREMELY dark. Even with the curtains open, several lamps on, and floor lighting I could hardly see anything. There was also an extremely loud noise that kept coming on. Whether it was a furnace or an AC unit, it kept waking my baby up at night, and my partner and I could hardly hear each other talk over it. The floor was coming apart in a few places, and the wall paper was splitting on a wall. There were also only 2 gallon sized trash cans which one was meant for recycling and was not enough. The towels were STIFF and VERY rough. I’m not sure if we were just put in this room because we had a child or what, but definitely not worth the $400+ for one night. The carpeting throughout the hotel was also very dirty. If it was clean the place would look 10x better. The style of the room was very nice and would’ve been great if it was taken care of.

Really cute hotel tucked away in Pitsford, NY... convenient to all surrounding colleges. Staff is superior!

This is an overpriced motel 6 . Uncomfortable furniture, toilets that are loud flushing , shower is typical motel 6 one piece fiberglass shower. Nothing special about this hotel except it's quiet and very very overpriced.

The hotel is new and clean. On the good side, the rooms have everything one would need, including slippers, but they do have one great downside. The problem is that the rooms have an HVAC unit inside each room in a utility closet and these units are VERY noisy — the floor is shaking when they come on. I had to unplug the temperature controller to shut the HVAC off and be able to sleep.

Beautiful hotel located in a beautiful town of PIttsford.

This was a great stay! I had a very relaxing weekend from my first night in, to my check out.

Hotel staff members were very friendly and helpful. I had to check in early and they accommodated me. The hotel and rooms are clean and it has a number of great amenities. It's very well located: close to Rochester downtown but in a very safe and upscale neighborhood. I highly recommend it. I won't stay anywhere else in Rochester.

I wish they had bathtubs or hot tubs here but they don't. Otherwise the location is great for walk ability with tons of restaurants and shopping within 5 minute walk. They let me have hair gel which I had forgotten to pack. Nice room and comfy bed.

Now the not-so-good. We were there during a cold weekend. Our heat did not work and it took several requests to have it attended to and fixed. It was a relatively simple thermostat fix but there is nobody working maintenance on the weekend. Second, the lighting in our room was very poor. There are only lamps with very limited light. You are essentially staying in a dark room, even with the window treatments open. If you are trying to work or read, this is problematic.

Really helpful and friendly front desk and check-in / out was easy.

Had dirty sheets the whole time I was there. I asked the maid to change them and she did not and I went to the front desk to ask to get them changed and they did not do it. I asked a second time to just lay the sheets inside and I would put them on because they said there was no one there to do it. I never got clean sheets in the 4 days I was there. For $300 a night, that is rediculous.

The DelMonte is wonderful. The staff is the highlight. They are fantastic! The rooms are nice. The restaurant is very good. There are dining and shopping options within walking distance.

Great location in the trendy, walkable area of Pittsford. We were pleased with the location, especially since it was on the canal and made walking one step easier and convenient.

The bed was extremely comfortable! Everything was clean and well appointed.

Place is very nice and well kept, only problem is room housekeeping must be requested to clean the room, which surprised me since most hotels of this quality housekeeping request is not mandatory. It is a service given without requesting it

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great location easily walkable to multiple eateries. The only aspect that could have been better was the seating options in the room. The only chair was a “stylish” chaise that was uncomfortable and a bench with pads.

This was a great hotel. It is set at a stunningly beautiful location. The rooms were very well decorated and clean. The restaurant was very good too. But the best part of this hotel is the staff. Highly recommend the Del Monte!

New Towels in the bathroom were covered with make up from a prior guest. Other towels were folded and obviously had not been cleaned. Disgusting!

The Erie Canal scenary was nice and most of the food was good.

The hotel itself was nice. However, we found it quite expensive for what you get. The food was amazing, but again, very pricey. Also, the vending machines were close to empty so we had to make trips to the gas station next door. Over all, everyone was pleasant, the room was clean, but the chances of staying there, not so sure about

The bedding in general was old and needed to be replaced. Clean but old. Also, the fitted sheets they used were too small so they kept coming off when sitting the bed.

Bathroom was small. Floor vibrated at times, vibrating the bed, No microwave, closet tiny very narrow. Trains running by all hours of the night. My wife and I agree, we won't be back.

This is an elegant and comfortable hotel with a fantastic spa, worth the trip all by itself. I loved the view of the canal from the bar. Pittsford is an unexpectedly charming little town I didn't know about before choosing this hotel. I highly recommend it.

The hotel was very nice, the staff was extremely friendly. Check in and check out was very fast. Everything was very clean. Room was spacious and looked very nice with a modern vibe. Everything was wonderful until it was time to sleep. The bed was extremely firm. It was like sleeping in a slab of concrete. I woke up with back pain. So if you enjoy an extra level of firmness in your mattress, this is for you. But if you are looking for comfort, you are better off sleeping in a chair.

Unfortunately , because of Covid 19 restrictions, we weren’t able to use most of the facilities and amenities that resort is offering. We’ll give it a try again.

Property is undergoing renovations, which I don’t think was mentioned when booking the hotel with Expedia. The room with tax cost almost $300 a night. For that price, one would expect much better.

Other than great location in Pittsford, much needs to be done to bring this property up to standard. Rooms are small and poorly lit. With every light on, it's still dark as a dungeon. The property is under major [undisclosed] renovation -- with noise, dust, and worst of all, need to use back entrances, which changed during our stay. At the Erie Grill restaurant, the service is inexcusably deficient: no water at tables. when we asked for ice water, we got water with no ice. when we asked for coffee, plus a double expresso, plus warm skim milk, waitress topped off a cup with regular coffee, leaving no room to mix the three. we asked her to leave the coffee carafe, she refused. asked for a second cup. when she brought the second cup, she filled it full again, leaving no room for the mix. when we asked for corned beef hash burned, she brought an under-cooked mush.

We decided to spoil ourselves when other travel plans fell through and we were stranded in Rochester. A nice massage and a delicious dinner. We'll be back.

The staff was fantastic! The only gripe if any that I had was not a tremendous amount of options on the room service menu but other than that I would recommend this hotel/spa to any & everyone that would listen.

I love staying here but this time was not as good as previous stays. The hotel was under construction and was noisier than usual, as was the housekeeping staff outside my room each morning. I was also disappointed with the internet not working, the streaming on the tv not working and the half a roll of toilet paper in my room. Other than that the place is very nice. Great restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff.

Dislike noise of passing trains at night

Had several bugs and one was near my bed which kept us from sleeping good. Also the housekeeper needs to dust better,had spider webs in corner. We had higher expectations especially since hotel was in a good location,and price were higher than the normal

Room is modern and clean. it is adequate in size. The Erie Grill is fantastic (while most servers were friendly - one was surly). I would give the hotel a very high rating. It is right on the Erie Canal with a lovely walking path.
