Sheraton Fairplex Suites & Conference Center

Nice room, comfortable beds, clean hotel and nice area. We loved the restaurant, great food and service! My only recommendation (not complaint) would be to upgrade the shower/bathroom, was outdated.

We had a double bed suite with a sofa bed, which is what worked for my family and why we chose it. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. However, it needs an upgrade for sure, and some of the features seem dingy or dinged in the room. The soaps and shampoos were not well stocked. It was a nice place to stay though, and all the people were there were very friendly and kind. A comfortable place to stay that needs some updating.

Note that ADA is a challenge. Handicap parking requires an uphill lengthy walk. I recommend dropping off at the door if possible. Hotel room assignment was also a significant walk with a walker and quite painful.

The property was beautiful and well kept the room was clean . The front desk was awesome during check in and before. Just a great place to stay. I will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful stay. Only issue was a problem at check-in. Took forever for clerk to get us checked.

The only thing that was a negative about my stay was when checking in the host handed me earplugs because apparently my floor was loud. I then proceeded to understand it was due to the elevators so while trying to sleep, we heard elevators, going up and down all night long. The overall stay was great, but I would’ve liked a heads up on the location of the room since it was myself and my daughter and we had trouble sleeping due to all the noise because of the elevators.

It's been many years since we stayed at this hotel and I'm happy to say that we enjoyed our room as much as the first time. Two queen beds were comfortable and the whole room was clean, including the bathroom. The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly and helpful. The best part was being within walking distance of the County Fair so we could go back to the room for breaks as needed. We hope to stay longer next time so we get a chance to use the pool.

Room was nice and I did not hear any other rooms unless they were really loud. Rooms were clean and it was very close to the county fair. The only downside is that there are not a lot of things to do nearby and you will need to uber. Also the hot tub, sauna and gym are very small so it may be uncomfortable if you are by yourself and no one else is there.

When I first walked into the room, the bed looked really lumpy, so I honestly thought it was going to be uncomfortable. Surprisingly, I ended up having a wonderful night’s sleep and the bed was actually very comfortable — it just looked strange at first. The room itself was nice overall, but it definitely felt dated. The hotel could really use some updates because the rooms look pretty outdated. The other issue I had was with breakfast. There was a line outside the restaurant, and another guest mentioned they had already been waiting about 15 minutes. I waited around 5 minutes myself before deciding to leave. While checking out, I mentioned it to the front desk, and the employee apologized and explained they were short-staffed. Even with those issues, I was able to relax and get a good night’s sleep, which was the main thing I needed for a quick overnight stay.

Everyone was so friendly. Felt good been missing lately. Only issue was west side of hotel gets way too hot. AC couldn't do nothing to help. But everything and everyone was outstanding. Best part its still economical.

The hotel and staff are excellent however we did have a slight problem in the bar a very rude bartender who made us margaritas and they were truly the worst margaritas we have ever had. Just thought I should let people know, but the hotel is wonderful.

The room was clean and having coffee in the morning is great for those coffee lovers.

I was shocked they wanted so much for WiFi for a day. It should be free. I was embarrassed at the cheap attitude when everything else was very nice.

Nice place, beautifully kept, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful grounds, I quite liked it. The restaurant might have been a bit less constrained in menu and room service. Overall, though, a solid A grade! Highly recommmended.

The room refresh was okay except the carpets were not vacuumed well. The amenities were great except the hair dryer was broken. Fortunately, we had brought our own. The staff were superb! They all were very eager to meet our needs and provided excellent service!

I’ve stayed here before, and my first experience was really nice. The room was spotless clean. I requested to have Front view, and that was granted, which I thought was nice since I suffer from claustrophobia, and this is why I chose to stay there again, which was it really bad experience. There was wet towels on the sofa bed. The blankets were stained spots of just dirty everywhere. The closet splash it. It was just not it. The Carpet was filthy, and when I requested with three weeks in advance, I was still sent almost to the way back of the Hotel, where it almost look like the janitor room.

This is a busy, cnference-oriented hotel; not particularly good for a family with kids stay. It is near the fairground and relatively far from downtown Pomona or Claremont -- not wallkable for normal humans. Would we come back -- likely not unless the price was 30% less or better.

DO NOT STAY NEAR ELEVATOR. Its not noisy people, its literally the sound of the elevator. Its like a freight train every time it goes up or down. The front desk rep told me, "some people hear the elevator but it does not bother them." Thats how they described my room. And there were no other rooms to move me to as they were sold out. This is likely an architecture problem that cannot be resolved but while you could carry on a conversation in the room, the mechanical whoosh was constant especially since it was Saturday and sold out. Insist when you book that you are no where near the elevators. I am sorry we were not able to switch hotels and were given no alternatives. They did comp our parking for the overnight. I wish I could upload the recording I made...

Husband got trapped in elevator for an hr and so called engineer named Angel, had no clue on rules and regulations on entrapment took almost 40 min to call fire dpt for assistance.. he thought everything was a joke , additional staff unaware of protocols on entrapments. Unprofessional staff. Ice maker broken on 4th floor. Room was decent.

Staff was super friendly and nice. Room was clean and beds were comfy. We liked the spacious room we had with a separate seating and sleeping area. Downside was the bedroom to bathroom door did not close because it hit the bed, so kinda awkward that you couldn't close the bathroom door to the bedroom, but the toilet and shower were in a separate space that could be closed, but if someone was going to brush teeth or needed the mirror, it was in full view of people in the bedroom. Parking was also expensive. Members are offered free wifi and 1 hour later check-out, so that was nice.

Overall, I liked the hotel, however the parking lot night seemed a bit sketchy. I would think they should trim the overgrown trees the lighting at night is actually effective. My only gripe with my room (509), is it faces the afternoon/ evening sun and it’s right above the rooftop of the restaurant I’m assuming. My room was 80+ degrees and didn’t cool down because the thermostat didn’t have an actual cool/ heat button, so it only blew cooler than 80 degree air, but not cold despite my turning it down to 65. I’m sure every hotel has there less than nice rooms that they have to occupy, I guess it was turn. 😂

We waited almost an hour for them to tell me and my family that they did not have my room available. They offered to send me to another hotel that was compatible to the Sheraton, but it was not. I booked at the Sheraton for the convenience of being able to walk to the Fairplex. We were there for a cheer competition. We were all so exhausted form the day and just wanted to get to our room as we had a two day competition. We had to drive about 10 minutes to get to our other hotel. We then had to wait another hour before they gave us a room. The kids were all tired. It was very frustrating. The room was so much smaller. we had to sleep in full size beds instead of a king.The room had no living room. It was much smaller. The alarm in that room went off around 12:30am loud with music. It was just awful. We did not get any sleep. We were all tired the next day. Overall this was just unacceptable. The hotels were not comparable. And it was so inconvenient to have to drive and move to another hotel after having to be at a competition all day .

Need More staffing on big weekends. Restaurants need to accommodate people who are on the go.

Love the large rooms. Comfortable beds. Clean. Rooms. I'm okay with it being a bit out-dated (flooring). The rooms is why we come back. I didn't like that when we arrived on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, there were no table servers. My wife wanted dinner at the hotel, and have a few drinks....but there wasn't staffing for us. A bit disappointing.

The best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff are a real asset, professional, polite, always ready to help with anything, a real family feel, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, to say I’d loved my stay there would be an understatement. The food from McKinley’s Grill was superb, the bar was a great place to socialise. My room as well as the communal areas of the hotel were clean, I can’t fault anything with my stay, Paul.

We contacted the hotel the next day and told him about the problems with the room and ask for a refund because it was totally unaccepted, especially since this has to be an ongoing problem because there were nothing wrong with the elevators just the noise from them. They said that we should’ve contacted The desk, which makes no sense since we are going to a reunion and did not have time to move to a separate room this room should have never been used for hotel guests. It is totally and completely unacceptable. They did not offer a refund or a discount in the future just said that we hope that you’re staying in the future is better so they have not stood behind their product Very disappointing and by the way, this is the first time that we have ever made comments like this towards a hotel so we are not habitual complainers. During the night when the elevator slowed down and was not used as often it was like playing Russian roulette, waiting for it to go the next time we slept very very little.

Hotel was convenient to Azusa Pacific. Large convention property. Well taken care. Rooms were large which was great as we had our dog.

We stayed here for the Pomona swap meet as it was very close to it. The only downside is that it isn't close to shops or other things. We didn't have a car but we were able to get a taxi to go the local towns around.

Great weekend stay

Stayed here to drop off my college student. It’s fine. Location is off the beater path. Definitely a “conversion center” feel. I didn’t appreciate having to pay for parking since there’s no other option

I was able to transfer to another room and I was told that I was going to receive a complementary $50 credit for the restaurant, however, when I check out, it wasn’t even mention on the notes and the person in the front was not able to give an answer and needed to talk to manager. At this point, I don’t think I will get anything.

Restaurant staff frequently just refused to seat guests. Carpets were filthy and visibly worn. Room was dimly lit, with light switches that didn't work and lamps with dim bulbs all over. Bath tub was rusty, bathroom door handle was broken. No bugs or rats, it could have been worse.

Perfect stay: when there were tiny problems staff was there almost before we hung up the phone to fix things. Comfortable and delightful!

I did not like the fact that after paying almost 300$ for one night I still had to pay for parking that is the greediest thing I have ever seen as much as I travel I will never go there again 5$ for a soda the breakfast wasn't even complimentary SAD very sad.

We had many family members stay on a weekend, and each time we went to the restaurant, the food took a very long time to arrive (40 min at lunch), and at breakfast I had to get up to get coffee to my table and the meal took over a half hour to arrive. I know service and labor is tough right now, and we understand, but if asking for a review this would be the main thing going against our stay. Everything else was fine.

The lobby is very nice. There were stains on the drapes and bed skirts. There was debris in the cabinet on both sides of the mini fridge. The on-site restaurant was poorly staffed. The wait for service was too long.

Check-in, room cleanliness, daily room cleaning, friendliness of staff, bar service were all great. Have stayed there quite a few times and will continue to do so. The only complaint is with the restaurant. Staff there is great but seems to be short handed. Food was good but for the last few years there is no ice cream available as a desert option. There were 11 in our party Friday night and half wanted ice cream after dinner and there was none available. Pretty small complaint but you asked!

You guys really need to state IN BOLD LETTERS that the room is double beds. The description is very vague of what room you’re getting and I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to. I wish I had taken a screenshot of the room I thought I picked. Seemed like I got bamboozled and not what I wanted.

The front desk was pleasant and helpful. It appeared the room transitioned from being a King or Queen to 2 double beds at some point - the door from the bedroom to the bathroom would not close because of the proximity of one of the beds. Also, the couch and chair in the sitting area were stained - to the point where I chose not to sit on either.

Very nice hotel! Staff were so friendly. The room was perfect nice to have a couch separate from the bedroom. Very roomie bathroom and refrigerator was cold which was nice. Beautiful seating area out back.

The room was really nice and roomy, and beds were comfortable, with lots of pillows and blankets. Staff were super friendly and helpful. However, the bathroom wasn’t very clean or properly stocked. There was hair all over the shower walls, no body wash or hand soap, and all the toiletries were highly geared towards men in scent (I usually bring my own, but forgot). There was also pubic hair all over the top of the toilet tank

Our room was so small. A corner balcony with a king. Closet small, bathroom small, living area small. The king bed took up all the space in the bedroom. We were misled by pictures prior to booking. Waited a while at the restaurant downstairs for our breakfast. Could have had a better experience. Food was really good though.

At the entrance of the hotel there is a young guy who is supposed to work with receiving the cars and then parking them, he sits there reading a book on his chair and just looks down at his book. I asked for a quiet room, the woman at the reception placed us in a room where outside was the hotel's AC system or so it was the ventilation system the windows were not soundproof, I asked to speak to the hotel manager, a woman she was nice and welcoming compensated us with drinks in the bar, breakfast and parking. The final bill was still 261.86 dollars for a day at this hotel. My advice to you is not to book this hotel for anything.

Great location right next to the venue we were visiting. The room was very spacious and very soundproof but pretty bad in cleanliness. There was food and drink splashes on the wall and certain spots looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. We reserved a king bed and got two twins. Staff said it was a third party booking issue which sucked but whatever. Biggest complaint is I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee let alone a reasonable breakfast. Cost me $60 for coffee and a breakfast buffet that was worse than military food. If I’m spending $250 a night I should at least get a complimentary cup of coffee some eggs. Overall it wasn’t a horrible stay, but now I know better if I choose this place again.

We typically stay here for cheer competitions that are hosted at the Fairplex. The convenience of the location is the selling point and the excellent condition of the hotel makes it worth every penny. I would not consider staying elsewhere when staying in the area.

What a great place! Super clean and staff is aweome! They have a great lil bar with awesome food! The burger and wings were so good. Close to fairplex so nothing walking distance .

We arrived at almost 2 am and were greeted with a lot of friendliness and care by the late night shift guy. It was unfortunate that I was too tired and forgot to ask for his name!

The room is big and comfortable, the bed is comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpfully.

My husband and I ended our weeklong vacation with an overnight stay celebrating Oktoberfest at the Fairplex. The hotel is located perfectly with close proximity to the Fairplex--approx. 10 min. walk. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Lobby was beautiful and clean. Hotel had self and valet parking but we opted for self parking for $20/night. Our room was immaculate and nicely decorated and clean. Very comfortable bedding, pillows, and bed with 2 TVs to suit your comfort. Welcoming sitting room with a pullout bed with a coffeemaker, refrigerator, and microwave. Hotel offered complimary bottles water which was a plus. Hotel had on-site restaurant but we did not try it. Convenient for their guests and for room service. We'd definitely stay here again and encourage our friends and family especially if they plan to be in the area. Thank you for a great night!

Love this hotel! I always stay there when I come into town for events in La Verne.

We were at room 405, we stayed there for 1 night only. I was disappointed on our stay because the bathroom seems like it was cleaned prior because there’s a lot of pubic hair on the tub and lots of hair on the bathroom floor. There was also some bubbles in the tub. It was already 10 pm when we saw it so we just let it go rinse the tub with water and just use it. Hope they will clean their rooms properly. I have photos but unfortunately I can’t upload it here.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The check in process was fast and easy. The king bedroom was beautiful, spacious and clean when we arrived. There were good options to dine in downstairs as well as a comfortable bar area. Our check out process was also very easy and fast. We had a great stay here
