Reviews
Guests consistently express satisfaction with the hotel's friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and convenient location. The retro decor and lounge area are also frequently praised. However, some guests have noted issues with noise, parking, and the lack of certain amenities like a restaurant or elevator.

Nice place. Seemed safe and room was clean. Walking distance to places to eat.
- 5/5
Cute retro hotel. In walking/driving distance to most attractions. Swanky lounge. Cool vibes. Easy parking.
- 5/5
Great stay. Great location. Excellent staff
- 5/5
My only real complaint was the check-in experience. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed when we arrived and came across as somewhat snippy and unpleasant. We arrived about 20 minutes before the official check-in time, and although our rooms were already ready, we were told there would be a $25 fee to check in early. Rather than pay the fee, we went out for coffee and returned at 3:00 PM. Guests should also be aware that there is a $25 per night parking fee, despite parking being in the hotel's own lot. Aside from those issues, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the unique blend of modern comfort and vintage charm that makes the Longleaf stand out.

Five stars all around! Great staff, bar and lounge. Clean rooms, easy parking and close to downtown. Will definitely stay again

Really nice and walking distance to a lot!
- 5/5
My staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Great location, easy to get to, price was affordable for the location as well. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying downtown.
- 5/5
I was already excited to experience this stay, but once I arrived it was even better than I expected. The room was very clean and had a bonus of well-thought out decor, giving it charm. The ease of parking, checking-in and out, andgetting to the room made it very pleasant. It's also great for being within walking distance to common areas downtown. There is also a lovely, fun and relaxing bar (and cafe-like spot) and lobby or common area to hang out in, during the day or evening. What tied this great experience all together was the exeptional service of all the staff and in particluar, Delaney. They all went well-above what could have been expected, with what seemed out of the goodness of their hearts. I would definitely recommend staying here and will the next time I get the opportunity!
- 5/5
Unique, comfortable, welcoming, low-key and exceptional at the same time. Longleaf had the most thoughtful amenities and stellar decor. We can’t wait to get back!
- 5/5
No ice and small towels but good overall
- 5/5
Helpful and friendly staff. The natural science museum, restaurants and pullen park are at a walking distance. I found it curious that they have a fridge with pre packed ice in the lobby, but it was convenient. Their coffee at the lobby was fairly good.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and spacious. Hot water was always provided by the front desk upon request. The location was excellent, close to pharmacy, and a lot of restaurants. I was on the first floor and could not open the curtains because everyone could see into my room, and I would have had no privacy.

Friendly staff, clean room
- 4/5
Staff thoughtfully put us on first floor so we wouldn't have to lug our suitcases to second floor. Thorough list of places to eat nearby which was very helpful.

Coffee not served till 6:30 AM which is late for me. Nothing to eat with it unless it’s a purchase.
- 5/5
Delaney was a delight at the front desk - she was very friendly and helpful directing me to walkable places to eat and to go. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was peaceful and quiet but close enough to some of the busier downtown attractions and restaurants. There were also snacks and drinks available in the room and fridge that were not obscenely overpriced. Great stay - will come back and stay there again.
- 4/5
My stay was fine. Room was clean but shower was old. Staff was friendly and efficient. Know that a train can be heard from inside certain rooms. It was a great location downtown for the event I attended.

I was in town to see the Dambo trolls in Dix Park. This was a convenient location with easy parking.

Very clean. Cold AC. Hot water. Quiet. Delicious craft cocktails. Friendly staff. Will def come back.
- 4/5
If you’re looking for close proximity to downtown without paying a fortune .A cozy retro property.
- 5/5
I like small hotels that make me feel safe and comfortable. Homy. High quality amenities; towels, pillows, sheets, bedding. Got a good sleep in quiet room in spite of traffic around the area. Good coffee and pastries were surprising treats for breakfast. Terrace was small but nicely designed. Details and quality matter to me. Good location and the price is right. I will stay again and recommend to my friends.
- 5/5
The beds were unbelievably comfy and I still cannot believe how deeply, quickly, and well I slept last night!! AM coffee is delish. Love the parking, too. I would recommend and return in a heartbeat!

I love anything mid century modern especially hotels without the bland feel of a major chain. Loved my morning coffee sitting outside.

Classy old-style hotel, great staff.
- 5/5
Delaney was awesome, thank you so much!
- 5/5
This property is a gem! Great walk ability! We went to a show at the Red Hat Amphitheater and it was so convenient! The speakeasy was comfortable and inviting and the room was too! Would definitely recommend to others and stay again! I wish more of these old motels were restored!
- 5/5
Excellent location and fantastic staff! Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.
- 3/5
Staff was excellent, rooms were not great.
- 5/5
Super cute retro place with a very friendly and helpful staff. We had a great stay!
- 4/5
Great location and staff. It’s an old hotel and unfortunately it smells old. The rooms are basic, my room has several stains on the shades, tables showering extensive wear and tear.?I was expecting something vintage, and the bar and patio is. But
- 5/5
It was a nice one night stay!!
- 5/5
Clean room, good ac, great bar. Very helpful staff. Towels are small.
- 3/5
Over priced. Specifically booked this property to hang out during the day on the outdoor patio area but that was closed from 1-5pm because a private party had it. You can’t charge $375 a night and then block access to the only cool part of your property.
- 5/5
Rooms are very nice and bar area is very inviting
- 5/5
Immaculately maintained property in the heart of Raleigh very convenient to an excellent Italian restaurant across the street called MULINO. Relaxing kitsch lounge area off the lobby for cocktails, and such in the evening staff is very accommodating. You’ll be thrilled with your stay!
- 5/5
Great location, excellent bar / patio, sparkling clean bathroom and the whole place has a smooth style.
- 5/5
Such a fun place to stay for our son's college graduation! Staff friendly, room clean & enjoyed the lounge. Great location - would recommend
- 5/5
I think the word is out. This hotel is a very well-thought-out experience. Kudos to the folks that did this. It's rare in a sea of mediocrity.
- 5/5
Second time staying here, always great!
- 5/5
Second time staying at the lovely Longleaf!! It’s in such a walkable area, has a fantastic, friendly staff, plenty of parking and very comfy beds! Highly recommended!
- 5/5
The staff were super helpful and kind. They had maps of city and a list of recommendations for everything down to dog parks. The room was clean and stocked with all the things you may need or didn’t know you needed. I will return if in Raleigh again!
- 5/5
My go-to hotel when we stay in Raleigh!
- 5/5
Highly recommend.
- 5/5
The staff are helpful. The rooms are clean. The air conditioning works well. The location is excellent! We had one small problem with a toilet tank, but they promised to fix it. I gladly recommend the Longleaf Hotel. It has a great social scene, on top of all the other advantages!
- 5/5
Lots of things to do in walking distance of the Longleaf!
- 5/5
This place was a great spot to stay. Cozy and close to so much in downtown Raleigh. Loved it!
- 5/5
Staff was super helpful when we checked in. We stayed there for the brewgaloo beer festival that was going on that weekend. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Great place to stay.
- 1/5
Clean up parkinglot Got nail in tire Bed was great hotel needs updating
- 5/5
Old school Travellodge from the 50’s reimagined into a mid-century modern quasi hipster hangout without any pretense. Beautiful outdoor space and if the weather is nice, a straightforward 10–15 minute walk to the convention center, which is why I was in town.
- 4/5
Remodeled classic 50s motel. Great bar and restaurants nearby. Went to the nearby Greek restaurant and it was great. Only negative is it’s near the railroad tracks.
- 5/5
Second time lucky! After my first scheduled visit was snowed off, I made it to the Longleaf this week and I LOVE it! Such a cool modern take on the old school motel. Wonderful staff, lovely rooms, amazing bar, my favourite garden in any smaller US hotel and the perfect location. Just the best package available! I genuinely cannot wait to go back again and to see the wonderful employees again and a little more of the city as my entire stay was under 18hrs! As Arnie once said: “I’ll be back”!
- 5/5
Staff is awesome! Friendly and helpful! Great location. We hope to stay here again in the future!
- 5/5
Clean and good coffee
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. The heating and air conditioning worked well for a comfortable temperature in the room. The staff was amazing. It was like being welcomed into someone’s home. The bar had special and unique drinks. We only stayed one night, but it was memorable.
- 5/5
All the employees there were very kind and accommodating, to anything you needed or had questions about. And any and all of the guests were always very pleasant, to say good morning or good evening it was definitely a nice experience for me.
- 5/5
This updated little boutique hotel has all the boxes checked for motor lodges of yesterday with all the needs of today. Rooms are clean. There is parking (for a charge). The lounge and outside seating are a relaxing touch with a 24 coffee service and evening bar hours.
- 5/5
Loved our stay, staff were lovely. The only thing that would have made it amazing would be some type of background music in the bar area—it was just kinda awkward. There weren’t any pastries available for purchase that were mentioned when we checked in, which was a bummer but we just ended up going to another cafe.
- 5/5
Nice 60’s vibe. Safe, quiet, and clean.
- 5/5
Front desk Delaney was fantastic and super helpful.
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and comfy. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The Harry’s food truck in the property was awesome. The lounge is great with great craft beer and drinks.
- 4/5
Excellent location for exploring the downtown areas
- 5/5
Great location. Very charming building - kinda quirky with lots of personality. Much better/cooler than a typical hotel. Loved the lounge & the outside patio area. Clean rooms. Super friendly staff! Will def stay here again.
- 4/5
Cute bar in the lobby. Overall okay stay. Not the nicest place you’ll stay but not the worst
- 5/5
Everywas neat and tidy, staff very accommodating. Lounge area welcoming and great proximity to restaurants in the downtown.
- 4/5
Has the look of an old style hotel but clean and comfortable with good eifi and information in the rooms. Good value for money.
- 5/5
The hotel was excellent!! It’s down town and close to the museums and Fayetteville Street! Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely recommend and return!!!
- 5/5
I think this is a great hotel for someone who's not looking for a lot of frills. I was on a business trip and wanted a peaceful no frills room to relax after being at conference all day. This is just that. great staff very friendly and willing to make your stay comfortable. the hotel is an older building but very well maintained and the extras they add in the room is a nice touch. Such as stocking the fridge with minimal drinks, providing drinking water, coffee snacks. The bathroom soaps and lotion is also nice.
- 5/5
Parking on site. Easy walk to Martin Marietta Performance Arts Center. Great restaurants & bars in the area.
- 5/5
What a gem of Raleigh! Love the mid century vibe and lounge. Only complaint would be the construction next door but on the weekend it was quiet. We stayed 4 nights.
- 5/5
Had a great time at the Longleaf. The hostess at check in was great and the check in process was very simple and streamlined. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom amenities were great, and the lounge was a perk. Loved that THC options were available as I don’t drink alcohol, they also had bingo and an amazing food truck the night I stayed and that was the cherry on top of a great experience. Would absolutely stay here again - very close to all of the fun places in downtown but just far enough away that you can sleep well without the bustling of the city. Great experience across the board.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Staff were great
- 5/5
Y’all. Longleaf is the platinum standard for what I look for and expect from a hospitality standpoint. I stay there ~5 times a year when I’m in Raleigh. Everyone who works there seems to legitimately enjoy it and appreciate each other. They’re very accommodating and you’ll always get a real (cool and kind) human when you call! 10 STARS! ⭐️
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Limited breakfast. Nice outdoor patio. Thin walls betwn rooms. Walking distance to downtown. Easy parking.
- 4/5
What a great, bijou jewel! Will come back soon.
- 5/5
This hidden gem had the best mid-century vibe. The staff were all so nice. I’m so glad we chose to stay here. It is within walking distance to so many restaurants. The lattes and pastries available in the morning were delicious. I will definitely be back and recommend giving it a try!
- 5/5
Cool retro aesthetics. Stayed in a King regular room. Bed and pillows very comfortable. AC/heater kept room at perfect temp. and it was quieter than most hotels. Liked having real glasses to use in the room. Had a stocked fridge and snacks all reasonably priced which was convenient. Great patio & lounge/bar area to relax in. Negatives: Morning pastries for purchase were slow to get to hotel in the morning. No microwave in room. Other than that, enjoyed stay at Longleaf and would stay there again.
- 4/5
We booked this room to enjoy the Animate convention ! It was a pretty quickish walk! The motel was transformed into a swanky trendy hotel! It was very clean and the beds were so comfortable! Great shower and water pressure! I would have gave five stars if they had food in the lounge either complimentary breakfast or some type of food for purchase! There was only one muffin available. Free parking also would have been nice as it was free when I booked but wasn’t the day of checkin! The front desk has outstanding customer service and the hotel was quiet! Just know not the hotels fault, but you will hear the train in the morning! We had a great stay!
- 5/5
The staff, especially Olivia was fantastic.
- 4/5
It’s a bit loud
- 4/5
Very friendly and efficient staff. Cute little bar & outdoor sitting area. Renovations are tasteful. Wish the rooms were better insulated to reduce noise from other guests. Though off the beaten path - easily walkable to historic downtown Raleigh. Coffee was ok. Wish they had some healthier options for breakfast - fruit, yogurt. Though the pastries are divine. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Olivia at the front desk was so nice, the place was also very nice
- 5/5
I stay here every 6 months. It's a wonderful hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent service. Clean and full of 50s charm. Interesting touches in decor. Great bar.

The staff was very helpful and the room was very clean. It is no frills, but a good value. It is in a great location for downtown activities.
- 5/5
Cute, clean, convenient, staff friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Charming room, completely updated hotel, wonderful staff. They answered all of our questions prior to the stay via texts. They were also very welcoming and warm when we arrived. It is a great location, right near the Capitol and all of the museums. They have a nice lounge. No breakfast but they did have coffee, snacks, and recommendations for nearby restaurants. It’s one of a kind. We also loved that everything they feature in the room (snacks, drinks, even the robes) is from a local NC business. A total palate-cleanser from the usual boring corporate hotel chains.
- 5/5
The staff always friendly & helpful!
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff
- 4/5
Staff was awesome! Very friendly, welcoming. Room was clean. Good location.
- 5/5
This place is awesome! The rooms are spacious, the vibe is awesome. Exterior is very old school motel vibe but all modernized. Best part for me, it’s locally owned and operated, and the staff is amazing and so friendly. 10/10 recommend for anyone! Definitely check out the bar/lounge too. The bartender there chose one of the best wines I’ve ever had from the big selection, and their cocktail menu looks awesome!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. The motel is in an excellent location to enjoy Raleigh. And is has a great vibe.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Super clean and friendly staff!
- 5/5
The room was great! Looked very clean, cozy and great vibes. Delaney was there our whole stay and made it 10 times better! She has the best attitude ever and I highly recommend staying here with the great staff, amenities, and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Delightful, interesting, small hotel. Desk clerk, bartenders (all young women) were amazing. Delicious drinks. Nice room, comfy bed, lovely, clean --albeit small-- bathroom. Would for sure stay again.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 5/5
Bathroom and shower were amazing.
- 5/5
An older building with purpose, absolutely charming. Walking distance to museums etc. And the complimentary coffee in the morning and the cheerful receptionist was the cherry on top!
- 3/5
room was clean but the street noise kept us awake along with construction noise from down the street. Bad coffee in the am. Won't stay here again. Better options close-by
- 5/5
The property although old was very clean and holds much character. It was convenient to my needs, beautiful lounge and excellent staff. Hannah was absolutely awesome and I look forward to staying there again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. Staff was excellent. Filtered water and ice for free is always a plus! The free drip coffee in the morning was delicious. We had a fantastic stay!
- 5/5
The Longleaf was way better than expected! Super clean rooms, the friendliest staff, and the bar downstairs was so cute.
- 5/5
We stayed at Long Leaf for a volleyball tournament at the convention center. Despite being a bit further than other hotels, I am glad we chose Long Leaf. It was the easiest and most pleasant hotel stay I’ve had in forever. Quiet, easy motor court parking steps from your room, and excellent morning coffee. Pleasant employees and other guests. And, it was cleaner and more high end than hotels near the conventions center. Loved it.
- 4/5
Everything was satisfactory and the front desk and bar staff were nice and accommodating.
- 5/5
Very courteous staff and the bar and patio are wonderful additions to kick off and end the night
- 5/5
Adorable!!!! Loved the staff!!!
- 4/5
Good location, but no free breakfast
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and nice rooms!
- 5/5
The room was minimalist (mid-century), but it was clean, and the bed was great. We really liked the vibe of the hotel and enjoyed having a drink at the bar. I'd definitely stay again!

Staff was incredible!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, clean room, and probably the best cup of coffee I've ever had!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
I have no negatives. Found the beds very comfortable. Quiet at night. Anna, the desk clerk was welcoming and very pleasant. We found the printed area information sheet very helpful. Pricing information open and helpful.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
Understaffed for the holidays didn't stop them from being super friendly & accommodating. It was deff a lovely warm welcome back to a place I called home for awhile. Our dog was happy to meet the check in person and say goodbye. Very cozy and super close to everything we wanted to do.
- 5/5
This was a perfect hotel for me. Small, independently-owned and decorated in an amazing modern retro look. The room was spotless, the coffee in the bar was amazing and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to visit again!!
- 5/5

Great retro motel! Great bar and lounge area. Very very friendly staff. Comfy room and bed. Downside was the walls are paper thin and I could hear people talking, walking around on the floor above me and people watching tv. Understandable because this an old motel, so if that doesn’t bother you it’s a great spot to stay. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Ultra clean, staff and nice coffee and bar area
- 5/5
Very cute hotel. Quiet and clean. Great location.
- 5/5
Great staff - helpful and friendly!
- 5/5
Nice parking and close to Red Hat venue.
- 5/5
This is a cute little gem of a hotel. They have refurbished it and kept the retro vibe. Great location for exploring downtown, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff!
- 5/5
Exceptional, we love Longleaf! Clean hotel & rooms, bright staff, amazing drinks. Our room was cozy, we can’t wait to come again. Thanks Delaney for making our anniversary/birthdays special, the champagne was fantastic. Delaney took extra care making sure everything was perfect and the champagne was chilled at time of arrival. Thanks everyone!
- 5/5
Great helpful staff, super clean rooms. Don't just book by it's cover interior much nicer than the exterior.
- 2/5
Never informed us that we needed to request housekeeping. When we did, we were told that housekeeping has been let off for Thanksgiving. I was there 3 days and 2 nights with no cleanup. The paint was peeing off the floors. The bathroom floor looked filthy. And the sheets were too small for beds. The place is shabby and service poor!
- 4/5
Kind staff, good location, nice courtyard
- 5/5
Had a great time !!
- 5/5
This is one of the cutest hotels I have stayed in.
- 5/5
Staff were great and very helpful.

- 1/5
The room is Ok; the staff too; but is too noisy
- 5/5
Staff was so friendly and the property was clean. Loved the modern style
- 5/5
The hotel was pretty comfortable and cozy. The hotel was close to a highway exit so there was a fair amount of traffic. However, the hotel comfortable, clean, and a good place to stay. I would stay there again if I was in Raliegh
- 5/5
Quick stop for one night (9pm to 8am). Very nice check-in experience. Stopped by the bar for a drink before bed...super nice/skilled bartender (note, charged $4 for the bar mix). Very cool older/modernized hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Friendly staff!
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff. Good location. No elevator, so if you don't like stairs, ask for first floor room.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
If you appreciate retro, great service, good coffee, fun bars and great locations, this is your home away from home in Raleigh.

We loved our stay! It was clean, they were friendly, and had great amenities!
- 5/5
A unique place to stay with a very accomodating staff!
- 5/5
Location was perfect, staff was friendly and attentive. Bar made good drinks! Simple, cute and in the middle of everything!
- 5/5
Clean, updated, comfortable
- 5/5
The staff were absolutely lovely! We really enjoyed our stay and the rooms came with all the amenities we needed. Very clean and easy to access from the outside parking lot. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you!
- 4/5
The room was clean and functional but no counter in the bathroom to put stuff on is a minus. Communication from the hotel was excellent. Room on the second floor was quiet. However, I would not stay there again just because of the type of facility. Its a bar with a motel attached, even tho they call themselves a hotel. There is no real lobby and you have to go outside to get to the front desk. If you arrive on a weekend in the evening it doesn't feel very safe because the stairways are dark and there are bar clients everywhere, and people are smoking weed at the front door.
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Art deco style. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great location with plenty of parking.
- 5/5
Cool place
- 4/5
Great boutique hotel
- 5/5
Very helpful staff and good dining nearby. Easy to walk around downtown.
- 5/5
A great place to stay with old charm and a great bar !
- 5/5
Staff was great! Place is very charming. Even though I didn’t take advantage of the lounge event, it’s great to know that they have a cool place to hang out if you prefer to stay in.
- 5/5
Hotel is clean; room is modern and comfortable; staff is friendly. No complaints (other than that I wish they served breakfast.)
- 4/5
Parking was ample, the vibe fun, and the location convenient to a number of good dining options. I was traveling with my pet, and this was a great spot!
- 5/5
Amazing!
- 5/5
This hotel is perfect for visitors who walk. Sidewalk access and crosswalks are great, proximity to the capital, multiple museums, bars, restaurants life music. First time in Raleigh, and it was tremendous.
- 5/5
Mid century modern converted to boutique hotel.
- 5/5
Clean, nice staff and great lounge!
- 5/5
Great location, walkable to lots of restaurants and venues downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cute hotel! Right in the heart of Raleigh
- 5/5
Warm and welcoming
- 5/5
Our go to hotel in Raleigh! The bed is super comfortable, the bar is fantastic and the staff is welcoming, helpful, and friendly.
- 3/5
I didn’t get the bartender’s name but she was great and very pleasant, she did an awesome job. The front desk young lady wasn’t the warmest person but that didn’t bother me. The problem was when I saw 2 roaches in my room and went back to the front to request a different room, she acted like I was a huge burden for her and was dismissive while telling me my room was now on the second floor and I had to go outside to get to it. I expressed my thanks for the new room and nothing. No “you’re welcome” or “no problem” - just very inhospitable and cold. The new room was very clean.

Within walking distance of capitol building and museums. Very comfortable beds and pillows.

Traveled to Raleigh for a concert. This motel is so close to everything which was nice. Staff/check-in was smooth. The retro updates were tastefully done. Rooms had a slight smell (like a pool) but overall I would stay again.
- 5/5
Staff were amazing, especially helpful when I was having a wardrobe malfunction. The room was clean, good size and comfy bed. It is a great location, walks like to many downtown sites. I definitely would stay again!
- 5/5
A little gem of a place. It may not have lots of facilities but was perfect for a few days in the city and had a great vibe.

This property is very cool. It didn’t feel like you were staying in a motel. The staff is amazing, the rooms are cozy, and the bar has great drinks. I would recommend this spot for anyone staying in Raleigh.

Very pleasantly surprised by The Longleaf - wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but the retro style was really well done, the service was extremely helpful and pleasant, and overall, it was just a really cool place to stay. I'll definitely be back!
- 4/5
Bed was comfortable walkable dinning options.
- 5/5
Great nights stay. Staff were friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Nothing disappointing. Lounge is top notch. Sarah at the bar is delightful. Front desk was fantastic.
- 5/5
Check in was easy. Rooms were spotless. Was given a variety of dining options and places of interest.
- 4/5
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Loved the vintage vibe of the place. The decor was cool, the room was tidy, the bed was great. A few little things were less than ideal, but nothing major. We'd have preferred not to be on the 2nd floor (hauling our luggage upstairs wasn't easy), but that wasn't an option. The noise outside was pretty loud (thank goodness for a sound machine!). The shower curtain was a little funky on the bottom. The tub didn't drain well, so I stood in ankle-deep water for my shower. The bed was positioned about 3 feet away from the wall unit air conditioner, so it was rather chilly, blowing right on us through the night. Both at check-in and check-out, the front desk was unattended, requiring a short wait. Mostly minor inconveniences, but enough that when combined, I wouldn't likely choose to stay here in the future.

Was looking for a moderately priced hotel near the airport university. This was it and it exceeded my expectations. Great staff, cute rooms and great bar area. Don’t ever judge a book by its cover.
- 4/5
Check in was great. The room had a very bad mildew odor. And it’s just all around run down.
- 5/5
I had such a wonderful stay here! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The ambience was warm, relaxing, and beautifully put together, exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when you’re looking to unwind. It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway, and I can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Nice place, good location, nice staff, clean
- 4/5
But one of the cool things about the spot is the bar that is never open very late. And you’ve got a great grounds and last couple times I’ve come they’re closed. They would really be nice if you have someone on staff to keep the grounds open so we can relax outside. There are no balconies and if you wanna have a smoke or just be outside to look at the moon, I don’t feel like it’s very accessible.
- 5/5
The lounge was great

we have stayed at the Longleaf before and I'm very happy with this hotel. We will be staying again in the future..

Wonderful staff. Love the helpful handouts about local businesses.
- 5/5
Booked this room very last minute. We had excellent staff and the room and bed were amazing!!!!!
- 4/5
Comfortable room with a great A/C that kept the room cool (68 F) even in the heatwave! Overall, a great place, centrally located and with a cool vibe. Only negatives for me were the bed being a bit on the hard side, the lack of options for head pillows (4 pillows per bed but they were all the same high height which was slightly too puffy to be comfortable for me personally), and the main area of the parking lot being a bit tight for getting in and out of the parking spaces (probably fine if you are used to parking garages and uphill parking, but I personally found it a bit tight parking an SUV there when the hotel was full) - but I found out later that the open area at the end of the parking lot is also available for guest parking - that was not obvious to me when arriving so I just want to leave a note here about that to other guests who like me may not be the most confident at parking in tight spaces or who have a larger vehicle
- 5/5
Absolutely loved it. Thank you so much!
- 4/5
Very cozy place with extremely kind and accommodating staff. The room was set up very well, but there was a big ant infestation the next morning and poorly made shower diverter that popped off with a gentle pull. Texted the hotel’s number for help but didn’t receive a reply. Had to go to the lobby in person then wait in the room. These issues took some time anway and weren’t up to basic hotel standards. But other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Walking distance to the museum, capitol building and restaurant.

Very cool mid-century modern hotel. Front desk very helpful.

Only complaint is there was a dirty washcloth on the shower curtain rod that I didn’t notice until I was almost done with my shower. It was very dirty and definitely not ours. Other than that will come back without hesitation just want to make sure I check the shower rod next time

Although, this is an older hotel, the room was very clean. My only complaint was that my TV didn't work. Since I was only there one night I didn't report it but just left them a note.

Little thoughtful details put this place over the top for me! Staff sweet as can be. All of the vintage feel of the upgrades were spot- on and done with care. High end bath products. Products in the room to room to buy are adorable. Very comfy beds. Large rooms. The welcome and goodbye texts were very cool, very helpful. Loved, will definitely stay again!
