    The lights in the bathroom would not work, only the small vanity light came on. There was little to NO cold water in the taps, both the sink and shower. The outlets in the bathroom were loose in the wall and could not be used as whatever I plugged in would simply fall out.

    We loved our 700 sq ft room with a hot tub. The elevator door made loud squeaking noises that we could hear from our room. During dinner hour, only 1 elevator was working, and we had to wait 5 minutes to be picked up. About 15 people were waiting when we got off. Otherwise, bars, tables, Rum Bullions, Brew Bros., etc were all nice amenities. Pool was so tiny that we didn’t even consider going in.

    Check in started out to be difficult because even though I had a confirmation from Hotels.com - the property did not have my reservation in their system. Alana was extremely professional and helpful, and succeeded in getting us a room. El Dorado performed amazingly! Hotels.com fell down on the job. :-(

    Everything from the beginning was great, the emails to check in to the staff all throughout the trip. Only delay was one machine that was not working, took a little bit longer than expected to find someone to help, but all in all a great stay! Oh yeah didn’t win anything but you can’t be that lucky lol

    location & price was good. clean rooms. At 230AM the fire alarm went off repeatedly for about 20mins. the alarm stated it was a false alarm, and nothing needed to be done. This alarm was EXTREMLY LOUD and it made it hard to go back to sleep. In the morning there was no explanation and nothing done regarding this inconvenience. When we called the front desk, they stated they knew nothing about the fire alarm going off.

    The front desk was rude. They were all about the bowling tournament and forgot to treat other guests just as well. All about the bowlers and not about the regular customers. I will not be staying there again.

    Loved our stay here! Every staff member we encountered was so helpful and friendly and welcoming. The property was quite big and we got lost a few times overall it was a great experience. I visited in April and I’m rebooking for July. All the food we had there in a different restaurants were excellent.

    The room was nice, the property was great with plenty of options to eat. However the downfall of my room was the AC, we even had engineering come and check it out, it worked for about 8hrs and then it decided to not work as good. Honestly I wish there was a way to crack or have a fan in the window to pull in the fresh air. Then moving on to food, the central Cafe was delicious we order it from our room, and would definitely do it again.

    The room wasn’t clean at all, even though I stayed 2 days. Both places at the edge of the bed on the floor, one pieces of pretzel sticks and crushed pretzels along and the other bed had a broken top of a soda cup. One day I shampooed my hair and the water stopped for 2 hours no hot water no cold water. I had a zoom call, I had to do without video. Internet. I was able to make zoom calls, but it would freeze for other activities often and made my work 10 times slower. I guess you stay here for Casino not to work ? Also, I don’t understand the housekeepers coming into the room before the check-out time. Overall 2 out of 5. ( And that’s me being generous)

    I didn't like the early check-in fee of $56, so we waited until 2:30 for courtesy "free" check-in. Also didn't like that the shower head was about 18 inches too low. If I decided to wash my hair, I'd have to squat to rinse!! Two hairs in the bathroom that weren't mine! The air conditioner made a rattling noise ALL NIGHT! Ugh! The sink drain glubbed constantly - kinda creepy. The remote control needed newer batteries. The bed was like sleeping on a marshmellow - VERY SOFT. Not good for old peeps with bad backs! Other than that, an ok over-nighter. The ice machine was near and worked great!! The coffee maker was nice in the room. However there was no clock in the room - guess that's the norm now?? But there were nice phone chargers bedside. Easy check-out on the TV. $43 and some change for tax and whatever fee upon check-in even though I prepaid Orbitz. Jeez!

    Room a little dated but very clean. Elevator carpets can use new carpeting. I was very happy to see they still had Valet service. A lot of casinos no longer offer this service which is unfortunate. Would definitely stay here again.

    This hotel shouldn't be rated in the 8s, I would give it a 7 at best. It is very convenient location though and the 3 casinos are all intertwined. You can walk between all three without even hardly noticing that you did.

    Construction on the 6th floor where they housed most the guests . Loud voices in the hall yelling at each other. Fire alarm goes off at 630 am Thursday and no one has anything to say about it so we’re all just standing in the hallway looking for the stairs which weren’t clearly marked . Finally some idiot construction worker just said it’s nothing . No sorry for waking you up or anything . Felt really scared after that bc what if there had been a fire. Very strange property . Nothing to do downtown except wish you weren’t downtown . I’ll never go to Reno again .

    very nice property, Eldorado is connected to circus circus and silver legacy so you don't need to even go outside. there are plenty of food options and very fairly priced. the parking is free both in the lot and the connected parking garage. The rooms are old, and somewhat outdated. the first room we were given the ac didn't work, the second room we were given the thermostat was broken. the staff was very nice and they gave us the second room very quickly, and repaired the thermostat in that room very fast, but the non working items is why i only give this property 4 stars. i will note that this place is pretty centrally located and made for short trips where ever we wanted to go and is in walking distance to the riverwalk and several resturants,

    We then asked about luggage given the handicapped spot, and it was suggested I take care of it since I am able to walk without a cane. The room was not very clean (there was visible black mold in the bathroom) and overall the property needed upkeep. I will say the food court had lots of good options, so that was nice. Overall we will book elsewhere next time.

    This non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smell. It was “run down.” The refrigerator did not cool very good even though it was set on the highest setting. The blow dryer worked about every 60 seconds, and then shut off due to over heating. It took almost 2 hours to fully blow dry my hair. The good thing was the AC was quiet and cooled well. Coffee macine worked well.

    Parking garage: only 2 of 3 elevators were working, causing long waits. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The biggest issue was the hotel elevators. For most of our 3-night stay, only 2 of 6 were working. On checkout day, we waited 15 minutes on the 14th floor. When I called the front desk, I was told only 1 elevator was operational. We could also hear what sounded like someone stuck in an elevator. With a flight to catch, we had no choice but to carry all our luggage down 14 flights of stairs. Room (Petite King Suite): spacious and comfortable, with a great bed and nice jacuzzi tub. However, two issues stood out. First, the AC wouldn’t cool below 72–74°. After multiple calls and over 1.5 hours (and my husband going to the desk), someone finally came. It was fixed, but the delay made it hard to rest. Second, the bathroom layout is extremely tight. The toilet door opens inward with very little clearance—difficult even for someone of average-to-larger build. Overall, while staff was kind and the room itself was nice, the elevator problems and slow maintenance response significantly impacted our stay.

    The hotel and casino were uncomfortably hot. Also the room we stayed was uncomfortably hot. We set the thermostat to 60 degrees and when we came back to our room hours later it was still hot. A plus was the bed was very comfortable and the Sushi Restaurant at the hotel was very good.

    While it was close to the venue we were attending, the El Dorado didn't have much more to offer. Most employees seemed indifferent or irritated when asked simple questions an out of town visitor might ask, such as "where can I find check in" or "do you have luggage carts".the property was also deteriorating with multiple elevators out of service. I will never go back.

    First of all, we were booked and put in a smoking room, I’m guessing because we booked through Expedia. We had 2 rooms and they were both booked as smoking. Multiple calls were just met with no non-smoking rooms are available. One whole day we had to experience a jack hammer or air hammer breaking of concrete in the room above us. This went on for 8 hours. Couldn’t stay in the room. Calling the desk resulted in we’re at full capacity and can’t move you, and are unable to refund room charges because of Expedia. Room condition was below average with quite a few items in disrepair, notably shower control handle was broken and dangling. We went for the national bowling tournament but probably won’t again due to these hotel conditions.

    Small room, small bed, AC not working, room’s decoration is outdated, noisy and construction or repairing other sections of the room early in the morning which woke me up and most of the elevators are broken, and only one elevator working for the entire hotel and parking structure. This is the first and will be my last booking with this hotel. My next stay will be at Peppermill or Atlantis.

    The room was old and meh. Clean but it was like every noise was amplified in the walls. Most upsetting though is the ridiculous $45 per night resort fee!! What on earth that is for is anyone's guess. The site says you get a Keurig in the room. Really??? $45 buys a lot of Starbucks from the cafe downstairs. Truly, the gaming hotels really need to lay off these exorbitant resort fees that are actually for nothing.

    However once we arrived in our room there was an overwhelming smell of smoke from maybe a dirty duct or heater vent that hasn't been turned on in a while. It ended up setting of the alarm momentarily but we're able to reset the alarm. Throughtought the night the heater seemed to work less and less. We finally just gave up dealing with it. At around 9 am we were woken up in such a torrent situation it was unbelievable. At 9am the sounds of saws, drills and other construction devices set off what seemed to be the hotels renovation. We were prepared to deal with the clutter of renovation and were assured it would in no way interfere with our stay. We were misinformed tremendously. I called the front desk where 2 were told they didn't know they would be starting early and that the decision must have come from upper management and offered only their apologies. To say the least our night was inevitably ruined. Sleep was not on the cards. And now are almost undeniably sure we will not be returning any time soon.

    Rooms clean. But didn't get what i reserved. They reassigned my 2nd room of 2 doubles (after placing a "do not reassign" note when the first room was checked in. The roons were to be connecting or adjoing, because ofvthe children traveling with me. Ended up with 2nd room being a King, instead of 2 double beds.

    Our hotel stay wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Our a.c. in our room didn't work the first day and had to have maintenance come and fix it. It was around 80 degrees outside and the lobby and casino floors had the heater on high. It was so hot inside, me me want to go somewhere else to drink and gamble. Our room was the small suite with the jacuzzi tub in the center of the room. We liked it but wished the water stayed warm for longer. We had to keep the hot water running the whole time we were in it to keep the water warm. All in all, not bad, but not amazing. Much better than our last Reno stay at Circus Circus.

    Good location but elevators were an issue, especially during check out. We were waiting 10+ minutes multiple times and we wound up having to lug all of our luggage down 8 flights of stairs. Not sure if we will stay again, there isn't a great place to enter the hotel with your luggage, there are stairs and carpet which made it challenging.

    The staff was terrible. When we asked for a microwave to warm up our baby's milk, they told us that those were only available for VIP rooms. When we checked out, we reported this comment and mentioned that every other hotel we had stayed at provided a microwave; in response, they told us that they don't provide microwaves there and—because we had asked for one—that "this hotel isn't for people like us." It was a bad experience, and honestly, I will never stay at that hotel again. The hotel in question is The Eldorado in Reno, Nevada.

    When I called down to ask if the elevators were fixed the front desk person says “I haven’t been told that they were broken.” dismissing my concerns about getting on a broken elevator. They should have a warning that they have old elevators that may break down. There were other guests that were also stuck in the elevator. One guest was stuck for over an hour. The staff dismissed it like it happens all the time. There was no empathy from any of the staff that I talked to, except for the security officer.

    Staff was really great... I told them I need AC to sleep at night since there is no fresh air on the 23rd floor and the room was 76 degrees all night and day long! The thermostat wouldn't budge and at its hottest it was 79 degrees. I had to soak in cold water in my soaker tub. Plus the floor hasn't been vacuumed in a while. They did have nice slippers and robes to lounge in plus a corner room with panoramic views of the city.

    Came here with my bf for my birthday. Check-in took forever because they were having computer problems. I reserved a non-smoking room but apparently they didn’t have any so they gave a us bad smoking room that is literally right by the elevators so we can hear anyone who gets off and is being loud. On top of it I told the lady at the front desk I was here with my bf and she gave a room with 2 Queen beds!! Like what!? We couldn’t even sleep in the same bed (he’s 6 ft so trying to sleep comfortably is out of the question)! The room is by a nightclub or something so we basically have front row seats-and had to wait for it to be over to go to bed. Horrible 1st time experience staying here.

    Reserved a non smoking room but the marijuana smell was overwhelming. Had to request a room change from the first room due to this and the front desk staff informed me that "Marijuana is legal in Nevada". I had to reply that it is also legal in California but I do not expect my room to smell as if I'm sitting in it currently smoking. The second room also smelled but not as severe. I would not return to this hotel or visit the casino. It has definitely become run down and dingy over the years.

    Overall, it was a good experience. The room was clean, and the property is conveniently located. The food was wonderful, and the staff was pleasant. We had to park our own vehicle because it was a truck. We decided to stay an extra night, and the front desk lady was less than friendly. She said that she could not help me and to contact Expedia, the booking platform that I previously used.     Big problem with my room keys. Room key did not open room door had to go down stairs from the 9th floor had to wait 6 minutes to get an elevator. The receptionist told ok i fixed it went up in the elevator to the 9th floor and still did not work. Waited again for a long time for an elevator went to the receptionist again She told me we’re gonna have to move u you’re getting an upgrade i said ok. Went to the 9th floor again but before that we had to wait for an elevator for along time. We got to the room and the room temperature was at 79 degrees it felt sooo hot i tried to turn on the A/C and it wasn’t working i tried to reach the front desk with room phone and nobody answered my wife told me just forget about they’re not gonna fix it. So we had to leave the room door open for while until the room temp went down. Never again El Dorado never again fool me once shame on you. Thats my story thank you

    The inside of that tower and the room’s decor, makes you feel you’re in a 70s movie. The toilet was constantly filling and the sink drains made weird noises after turning the faucet off. Checking out was a breeze. We were surprised that valet was $15 since it has always been free. Granted, we haven’t used valet parking since Caesar’s entertainment took over the three big downtown casinos. Bottom line, it was a poor experience and we might not stay at this place in the future.

    We had to go back 2 times to get the keys reprogrammed and ultimately had to be assigned to a new room that did not have the bed configuration we had reserved. The resort employees were helpful and the room satisfactory, but inconveniencing customers with something we were told might have been due to testing being done on doors without compensation of any kind, was rather poor customer service.

    Only one garage elevator worked and we had to park on the 9th floor due to nothing available. Then once checked it it took about 12minitws to get an elevator and only one was working. At one point we waited fifteen minutes for an elevator to go down, before we decided to take the stairs which exited onto the street. Not a clean stairway at all either, then we walked to reenter the casino. This is a huge downgrade from the Grand Sierra across town.

    I checked out after being there only a couple of hours. I felt unsafe. People were running up and down the hallway and carrying on. The room was dirty. The TV kept turning itself off. The room even smelled dirty. I was so glad to leave there and go back home!! I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!

    Our stay was fine. The room was sufficient. The bathroom towels could be better quality. There was a sign by the elevator that said it was a non smoking floor, however we smelled smoke in the hallway. Our room did not smell at all. Check in and out was perfect.     I found bedbugs on my bed 😭. I took photo of it to show the security for approve and confirmed was a bedbug. They told me to check out early at 2pm while I asked for 7pm. They didn't offer a refund and they didn't have washing machine to wash my staff. They offered another room and told me to go use it because it's okay even if I spread the bedbugs to the other room. Horrible and dirty hotel!!

    Room seemed very clean; staff were helpful for what we needed, but nothing stellar. Except for the Asian woman serving at the coffee and pastry counter near the lobby in the mezzanine. This was Thursday morning 10/23, around 9am— she was amazing, friendly, and went above and beyond. She deserves to be recognized for exceptional service! Also, the elevators for getting to the parking levels was malfunctioning.

    We had a blip night one. The thermostat didn't respond to changes. We called service and they immediately came to help. The fix needed excessive time, so they moved us to an upgraded room and removed our resort fees. We felt they went above and beyond in their efforts to make the stay a great one.     Reserved two Luxury King Bed non-smoking rooms. Called the hotel and requested the rooms be located near each other and a high floor. Also asked to have a view towards downtown. Upon arriving the hotel and while waiting in line I overheard the receptionist mention the to folks ahead of us that she gave them a free upgrade. I asked the couples what type of room they booked and she said a luxury king bed non smoking. When it was our time to check in I repeated the requests I made on the phone to the receptionist and asked if we could also have an upgrade. She said no problem. We were assigned our rooms and I asked about an upgrade and she she couldn't offer it to us. Our rooms were located next to each other. We were on the 6th floor (actual floor was 3 levels above the mezzanine) View was towards north Reno and the top of the roof of the casino. almost level with the roof. My travel friend told me not to make a fuss so we kept the assigned rooms. We wanted to eat at La Strada restaurant but it was closed. In the morning we found the Coffee shop restaurant was also closed, only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Certainly not the El Dorado of the past.

    The amount of money I paid for a Suite thru Expedia was awful. It had no VEIW of anything. The only window was near the ceiling and it was frosted out.     Half of the elevators were not working and we had to wait in line for 20+ minutes at a time just to make it up to our room. When we talked to staff about it they informed us that 2 of the 4 elevators have been down all summer.     Their hot tub wasnt available even though that was a main factor in choosing this location and it was too cold to hang out in the pool. Our first two rooms were non smoking but smelled like smoke, they made it up to us with upgrading us to a premium room which didnt smell like smoke, so if thats a concern they really shouldnt be putting people in the non smoking when there is clearly smoke. We also tried using the stairs one day because they had 3 elevators out of order and we got locked in the stairwell we were extremely lucky that within 1 minute a security guard happened to come by but this is where people are supposed to exit for fire safety... that is extremely dangerous that if something was to happen we wouldnt be able to get out. If your going to have elevators out of order at least have your staircase working. All that aside the accommodations were great but the safety factor is probably not going to have me back, along with no guarantee of a true non smoking room.

    I booked a king size bed with a view and we got 2 queen beds facing another building, I asked the front desk why and they told me since I checked in at 5:30pm instead of 3pm I wasn't guaranteed the King.     When we checked in, we were given a key and told which floor we were on. Apparently there was construction happening, so the hallway to get to our room was blocked off with a locked door. We should have been told we needed to use a specific elevator to access our room, not just be sent on our way. A security officer just happened to be in the area who helped us get to our room and told us what elevator to use. It was extremely frustrating to be hauling our bags all over the place when we weren’t told in the first place where to go. In the future, it’s highly unlikely I would book Eldorado again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.
