Have to walk through pool area to get to the fitness center. Pipe in the closet leaked from the room above. Charged me for parking when it was paid for with my room when booked through Expedia. Breakfast was also included in my price, but tstill bring a bill to your table.

Staff (Jeanie, Leslie, and Ashley) are the best. I'm glad they are still there. The Bar staff is great as well. The menu hasn't changed much, but the waiter said they have a new chef and the menu will change soon.

At the front desk, they apologized and said to reach out to Expedia to coordinate the refund for the unused night. But when Expedia reached out, the property refused to refund us for the unused night. Front desk just completely lied to us. Avoid this property at all costs.

We have stayed here before and it is a great location if going to the new amphitheater at the riverfront. The hotel is OK but for the price I would expect higher quality and better customer service. The pillows are cheap and thin, the shower was broken and we have had horribly rude experiences with the same bartender both times we have stayed.

The room was clean. The outside grounds and building were attractive and stylish. However, the double bed room I occupied was average with older fixtures and carpet. The bathroom was very small and had no a/c circulation. It’s very uncomfortable after a shower. The microwave was extremely small and the coffeemaker leaked. In comparison to other area hotels, the amenities were not worth the cost. For an extra cost, you can add breakfast to your stay. The pool is located behind large glass doors just outside the elevator area. Anyone using the elevator can easily view pool users - no privacy. Ice makers are not on every floor. You must go to designated floors to obtain ice. In my case, I was on the 12th floor and the nearest ice makers were on 10th and 13th floor. By-the-way, the one on the 10th floor was empty or just not working by my second day there. I was really disappointed with my stay. I always thought I could never go wrong by staying at a Marriott, I now know differently.

Was delayed and showed up later than expected only to find that they'd cancelled my booking. I stay at hotels a lot for work and had run into the issue before had never, ever had a hotel not honor the original booking and just reprocess the room. But even though Brie, the woman checking me in, *confirmed* they'd received the booking and my pre-payment, seemed almost gleeful in saying that they would not honor it because I'd booked through a third-party website. I had to call expedia and spend more than an hour on the phone with someone (who couldn't even correctly identify my timezone IIRC) only to be forced to pay almost twice what I'd paid originally to get the room I'd already paid for. About halfway through this, another guy (Malcolm or Ron, I think) showed up, and I got the distinct feeling there wouldn't have been an issue if he'd been there from the jump, but at that point I'd already paid again through expedia. To add insult to injury, the room was a lipstick-on-a-pig situation, a clearly decades-old hotel that they threw new paint and tile on, but the fundamentals were poor and outdated (e.g. HVAC marginal, poor noise insulation, bedding uncomfortable, curtains broken). The experience was so bad, I haven't booked with either since. Avoid the Delta and choose any of the many others nearby that provide exceptional service while getting the details right, like the Commonwealth (great location, higher end) or Holiday Inn Express (budget, very comfortable & business-like)

First thing it took them about 35 minutes to find my reservation! The beds and the pillows were so soft. It was hard to sleep.! Then I paid 26 additional dollars to park. They said it was for 24 hours worth of parking. However, the parking expires once you check out of the room so that wasn’t 24 hours the lady at the front desk was extremely rude.

My room was in excellent condition. The reception staff was very kind and it was a busy day for them. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly. The food being served at the buffet was terrible and extremely overpriced. The Breads and pastries were all stale. All of the hot plates were dry and cold and I was there first customer.

Very old broken coffee maker,not kcup, ice machine sometimes broken, ironing board and iron super old and both broken, handicap shower curtain did not keep water from flooding bathroom floor causing fall risks. Non responsive maintenance and housekeeping staff. Very little support once you're registered. Very cold lobby. Only few hours open at restaurant. No room service. Very limited snacks at lobby shop. Limited restaurant menu.

The majority of the staff were very friendly. We were staying for 2 nights. The room we were originally assigned had a leak in the bathroom. We were moved to another room. In the morning we left for the day when we returned there was a leak in that bathroom (coming from the vent) and all of my stuff that was on the counter was soaking wet. We were offered to move into another room but as it was late and we were leaving in the morning, we declined.

The shower was clogged (the water rose half way after 1 shower), there was dried pee on our toilet seat, we couldn’t leave the parking lot with our key at 10am when checking out (we had to go back inside and ask for help getting out), and the 2 full beds were too small for 4 people.

Loved the convenience of the local shuttle which is available for up to 2 miles in the city. Gary and the morning gentleman drove us to a lovely restaurant for dinner and then suggested where to go for breakfast. Called for a return trip back to hotel and both times they were picking us up in minutes. Both were very personable. Thanks guys again.

I did not appreciate the fact that this hotel treated me as "less" just because I booked through Expedia. The room that I originally booked was not given to me. One of the ladies at the front desk was very unpleasant. I definitely would not stay here again. This is the only hotel off of Expedia in which the hotel did not give me the room I booked (king room). I'm not sure if it was discrimination or what, but I felt very unwelcome.

As I was checking in, the van driver for the hotel walked in and yelled that someone was sitting in my truck parked out front. There was no one in my truck..he just wanted me to move. Ridiculous. Later the driver lied to my spouse and I saying that he said “someone was looking in my truck window” not someone was sitting in it.

For being a "pet friendly" hotel the staff didn't know where my dog could easily go to bathroom - for example I asked if they had an on-site turf area for dog to do their business and of (3) staffers none knew for sure. They sent me down the block to a public park. I could not get on their "wi-fi" network in my room or in the lobby. I called front desk and they didn't know anything so they transefered me to Marriott tech line which had a long queue so I gave up waiting and hung up. Very frustrating. Getting on hotel wi-fi should be quick and easy!

Hotel was clean over all. Walls had scuffs and could use paint all down the hallway on the floor I stayed on. I could not achieve a comfortable temperature in my room, so unfortunately I did not sleep well at this Marriott. The bed and blankets were very nice and comfortable though. The Allianz amphitheater is a mere 300 feet down 5th street from the hotel. That is reason enough to stay here for a concert. However, the room was clean, the staff professional and courteous, and our stay was wonderful.

This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We enjoy the cleanliness of the hotel and room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was spacious, clean and water pressure was good. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Easy to walk or Uber to lots of restaurants, bars and attractions. The pool and hot tub were clean and towels well stocked. The temperature of the water was a bit uncomfortable though. The pool was a little too cold and the hot tub too hot to really enjoy for long at all. We had a room near the elevator and could hear people talking clearly from the bed. If we come back to Richmond we would request a room away from the elevators.

There was not 1 smile, nor happy greeting from her any night of the week I was there. She seemed miserable.

Front desk staff was super nice. Lobby was nice, but the rooms were just horrible. Super old, felt grimy. Stains all over the walls, bathroom curtains, etc. Just not my speed. I even showered with flip flops on, as I didn't feel comfortable. If you're someone who wants to feel, where they lay their hand is in a pristine, clean environment, this is not the hotel for you.

Room was upgrade without ask (what a nice surprise!) and it was a very nice room. The pillows were not comfortable but we also didn’t call and ask for other options. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed and more. It was a bit noisy as we could hear people in close rooms as well as individuals in the hallway. None of that noise prevented us from having a successful sleep.

Nice hotel. Was comfortable. Restaurant wasn’t open the hours they specified so best to call ahead of you want to be able to eat at this hotel without having to leave. Parking is extra. Staff was not helpful in knowing the area to be able to recommend restaurants. Overall I was a little disappointed.

I like key cards. They are secure. Richmond was experiencing something with the water quality. There was free water at the front desk.

We had to move from our room on 12/23 because there was no heat. The room was shabby with broken wardrobe doors and drawers that kept sliding open. After we moved we were awakened that night at 3 am with a piercing alarm and orders to evacuate that lasted 28 minutes. Front desk was helpful when I called. Staff was friendly and best part of our experience. Restaurant was excellent.

The stay was fine. I didn't realize that breakfast wasn't included in the nightly rate until I sat down, are and then got a check. I wish I'd known. Also, parking also not included. I was surprised to see $24 extra on my check.
