Beautiful scenery. Room was great. Only issue was the refrigerator didn’t work. The iron was cracked on the base so didn’t stand well but it worked fine. I would stay there again!

We were on the second floor and unfortunately you could hear the floor squeak every time someone above you moved. So many times we were woken up by the room above us. Not for any fault of their own. They weren’t being excessively loud just moving around. And our a/c was very loud.

The breakfast buffet was ok but the problem was while we were eating a staff member came over to the table and handed us a bill for the breakfast. $35.00 for two. My wife got oatmeal, a yogurt cup, and tiny bowl of fruit. It’s not like we were at a 5 star restaurant, besides we have never stayed at a hotel that didn’t offer a complimentary breakfast.

Nice hotel. Steep driveway but beautiful view from parking lot and some rooms. Clean well maintained rooms with many features. Breakfast and lunch are charged separately in the restaurant area. I just snacked in the room and made coffee as I was visiting family for meals. This hotel is a good value for its level of quality. Just know meals are an extra charge.

Staff was amazing. Especially the morning staff and the cook. They were the sweetest people and made my family feel extremely welcome. It was such a sad weekend as we were spreading my father’s ashes on the parkway. The staff just all put a smile on our faces when we needed it the most. Thank you!

It's the end of April in Virginia, which is pool weather regardless, but the fact is it's an indoor pool...that wasn't open for "the season" and to open again at the end of May. There was nothing about the pool not being open during my reservation or I wouldn't have stayed here. I also did not have towels in my bathroom. So, after my shower at 6a, I didn't have towels to dry off. I called down to the office and housekeeping but no one answered. I let someone know after the fact, but it was very inconvenient.

The location up on a windy hilly road was a cool ride! We did not get a room with a view but a clean comfy room. Best coffee and great staff! Thank you .

Obviously it was not the property’s fault, but I wish they would have informed us during check in as we were frustrated trying to use it unsuccessfully. We also were charged for the stay at the property although we had pre-paid through our booking service, so charged twice requiring a refund after communicating with the property, which they promptly did.

The pool was closed, which we didn't find out until check in. Due to staff shortages, the breakfast was "buffet" which consisted of the same stuff you'd get at most hotel's continental breakfast but we were charged $15.99 each for this one and I've had better free breakfasts. The rooms were clean but the beds were hard andthe mattresses felt old. Generally it was less than I'd expect from a Hilton, more like a Super 8. Save your money and stay somewhere else if you're looking for a Hilton experience.

The hotel is up on a hill by itself. It’s just a bit tricky to find, but once there its comfortable and a good quiet place to sleep. I mainly slept there so did not have much interaction with the staff beyond checking in which was done in the usual way, but with perhaps a more welcoming attitude than many hotels provide. Parking was easy and plentiful.

A dog had used the bathroom in 8 different spots at the elevator on the floor our room was on.There wasn't housekeeping staff to clean it for an additional 30 minutes after I stepped in it. Hold guests accountable by charging a fee if it isn't cleaned up.

Everything was very nice including the view of Roanoke from the room window. Check-in took about two minutes.

couldn't get a parking spot closer to the hotel. i was worreid there wasn't enough spots for everyone but luckily i found one.

The heater in the indoor pool was cut off or something my granddaughter froze and was so disappointed

Noisy. Woken up in the middle of the night and again in the morning by the people above stomping around. No idea how they make so much noise. Sounded like they were throwing their suitcases across the room. Our room also smelled moldy/mildew like. Hotel looks newer but poorly built and rooms are getting tired looking.

Beautiful views, nice room, clean and easy to check in/out but the breakfast being an extra price sucks and the thinness between rooms is the worst. People above us got up at 5am to leave and they sounded like a herd of elephants. Couldnt control the ac couldnt even turn it on/off. Rooms so thin the person next to us coughed and it was like he was in the room. Paper thin walls.

We were pleasantly surprised by our one night stay here on a long drive! The pool was good, the room was comfortable and quiet, and breakfast was all right.

There 3 days, had to ask for tp, no room cleaned, or change of towels, cups, coffee. Pool temp cool, had requested 2 qns, got a king first, but then changed it to correct, view not as nice, need more lighting of parking areas.

Sir James the chef did a fantastic job making my breakfast enjoyable. The omelette was superb. Traven the host and waiter also was great.

What really stood out was the kindness and flexibility of the hotel staff. We arrived around 9:00 a.m. with our little kids, who were both hungry and eager to jump in the pool. Even though the small in-house restaurant and pool were set to close at 10 p.m., the staff went above and beyond. Around 9:30 p.m., I placed a quick order for chicken fingers and fries, and both the bartender and the cook in the back were incredibly gracious. Even though they were cleaning up and getting ready to close, they happily made a quick dinner for our kids without any hesitation. It was such a small gesture, but it made a big difference to a tired family. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality!

The room could have been cleaned a little better. It was a comfortable stay and the restaurant was really good. Priced a bit high but overall a good visit.

This property has adequate amenities. However, what impressed me and made me go back for a second time was the staff. Specifically the front desk person Mat. Mat was beyond professional and friendly, he treats every patriot like family. Also, the food is awesome!

We came last minute and wanted a view of the mountains. Saw this place and it was perfectly placed. I asked for a room overlooking the mountains and they accommodated us immediately. It was just beautiful!

We've stayed at this property for previous visits to Roanoke, and it's always clean and the staff is always helpful. The rooms are nice, and I've always enjoyed them, but the air conditioning in our room this trip didn't seem to cool at all, despite it being cool outside. Other than that, everything was good.

It was a great welcome and there were fresh cookies which made reception area smell lovely. Lobby and dining room had been refurbished. Rooms were in good condition and everything looked clean. Only gripe was that the floors creaked so we could hear the guests upstairs. We had a bite in the restaurant which had a small but adequate menu and a good bar. Breakfast was great. Bar and restaurant staff friendly and efficient. We'd stay again

The room TVs did not work in the hotel unless you had a Netflix account- other than coffee at the front desk there were no amenities for breakfast children traveling that was available for cost- the facilities placed $25 fee for stay at check -in just in case they found damage in the room- room walls paper thin so you could hear snoring and coughing in the next room - needed towels and had to go down to desk since guest services did not answer phone- thought that $200 per night would have better service

The lights in the lobby and bar area were very bright- not the best first impression. I found hair in my bed, the shampoo container in the shower was empty and the sink was clogged. Wouldn’t recommend, especially at $200 a night.

This is a great property. The room was clean and comfortable. The walls are a little thin so it can get loud at times. The restaurant on site is great. Not very much variety, but everything I tried was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff was amazing! Easily the best part of my stay was how wonderful and friendly everyone was. So nice and willing to help, they really went above and beyond and made my stay that much more enjoyable! I will definitely stay here again!

The room I booked through Expedia was not an available room for that night at the hotel. I received a call the afternoon before my check-in from hotel staff. They provided a different room, apologized for the issue but stated that there is an issue between the booking source and their computer system. I was thankful they still had a room.

This is a nice place where we have stayed before. Friendly staff, clean, good foid and bar options, great location, lots of parking, etc. Tbis time, i would offer one negative comment. The lawn care (mowers and weed eaters) commenced at 7:30 AM and was loud. Not every guest is a business travaler and up at that time. We were on vacation and certainly did not want to arise then. Would suggest the property have the lawn care crew start a bit later in the morning. Otherwise, a very good place.

Not happy with my experience at this hotel. I booked with hotels.com and after arriving for check-in at midnight I am told I only have one room booked when I booked two. Clerk seemed irritated that I used a third party. Showed her a copy of my reservation but to no avail. So I paid for an additional room then after calling hotels.com I am told the reservation was sent under two names. So how am I supposed to know that when I booked both rooms under my name and paid for both. So now I am likely not getting a due refund. On top of all this I was bitten all over the lower half of my body by bed bugs. Beyond livid.

Needed a room for 2 plus dog near the Blue Ridge Pkwy. The surprise charge of $75 (plus tax) for bringing our dog is NOT dog-friendly! This was our last stop on a 6-week road trip, and by FAR the most we had to pay to bring the pooch along (most properties charged $25 or less). In general, this hotel was very opaque about their charges. My credit card alerted me of two more charges after we checked in (after paying the base rate for the room when booking with Expedia). When I asked for an itemized bill, the nice woman at the desk was unable to enlighten me about what the charges (and a credit) were for. Given this, we worried about whether the wifi was complimentary. We kept being asked to join Hilton Honors when we tried to log on. Trying to call the front desk, we got a busy signal over and over again. So we gave up getting online. At checkout, I was told that we were supposed to get a special code from the hotel, but that was not part of the instructions on the sheet we received with our room keys.

I liked the staff and the atmosphere at the hotel. There was supposedly free continental breakfast but I got charged $9 for it.

The lady at the desk was very nice and helped us out for much. She was very helpful even with some of the computers down.
