    The staff was excellent. My first room had roaches running around. I was placed in another room that was better, but I still did not feel comfortable the rest of my stay. I was offered a credit to use in the hotel store for my inconvenience. Overall , the stay was just o.k.

    I will never stay here again. There were no towels in the room. The room smelled like mildew. The sheets had a brown stain on them. The lady at the front desk was nice and that was the only good thing.

    Room was in good condition; clean, had a full refridgerator, stove, and M/W, plenty of hot water and water pressure. Unfortunately, it's also "pet friendly", which i didnt know when i chose it, or when i regisyered, and there was a dog in the room right below me that whined for hours the first night, and barked for hours the 2nd night. My request for a different room was blown off, and they didn't shut the dog up either. The ladt 2 days were fine, the dog had checked out sunday morning.

    We stayed 3wks and in those three weeks there were roaches and we have not gotten our deposit and they don't want to give us our receipt because it’s through a “3rd party app” i have called and asked several times if they could provide us our deposit back. They keep saying we need to contact our bank but our bank is saying its though their end. Unprofessional!! Wouldn’t recommend staying again!!

    Let me first say the gentleman that checked me in was very kind and professional. Even when i called front desk because the people above me let their children run and stomp through the room, that was handled, and I was appreciative. What I did NOT appreciate was the roaches! Also, the air conditioning not working properly. I was creeped out. By this being a business trip and i didn't have time to find another hotel. When asked for a refund after management was told, they refused. Greed and a lack of care for your paying customers will be tge downfall. I'm just trying to be made whole with some accountability. They know they have roaches! And since they don't care, I'm sure the Board of Health will. Roaches are nasty and carry diseases. Shame on you! I do not recommend this hotel. Save your money and go elsewhere.

    Well the room that I got was perfect I liked it the only thing I didn't like was that apparently somebody moved that night on the second floor and they were making so much noise from 7:00 p.m. till 7:00 a.m. that was the worst I've ever had in my lifetime but the room was nice I really enjoyed it it's just the noise that I couldn't handle thank you sincerely Maria Maldonado

    Staff was amazing, when I booked I did not realise that this was a hotel for long term stay. There is no breakfast due to each room has a kitchen. They advertise 24 airport shuttle this is not correct. 7 am till 7pm. My flight arrived at 10:15 pm and when I called I was told about the shuttle times or if I waited till 11pm the night auditor would come and pick me up.

    I would not recommend this hotel they had homeless people hanging around outside begging people for money we had an issue with the toilet the first 2 nights we were there when we called down to the office they told maintenance to turn off the valve because they didn’t want to deal with it then they ended up switching us to a different room which had cockroaches in it i will not stay here again and i hope they fix this issue !!!

    It was very convenient and close to the Airport. Room was clean, yet needs a new coffee pot. Housekeeping kept up with clean linen! Shower was HOT, and lots of pressure! No complementary breakfast, but coffee. Seemed more like apartment living than a Hotel. Very affordable, though it was included in a package deal with round trip tickets from Maine to San Antonio, TX.

    However, when I woke up in the morning, after waking up a couple of times overnight to the sounds of kids running around in the room upstairs, the real fun began. It was then that I noticed there was no coffee maker. There were packets of coffee and mugs and sugar, etc. but nothing with which to make coffee. I looked in every cabinet and frankly even looked in the refrigerator. There was free coffee in the lobby, so I brought back 2 cups. Later when I needed to warm one up the microwave struggled to do so. After 20 seconds or so, I think it was actually cooler. The light over the vanity barely lit itself up, and the other light was not that bright so I used the flashlight on my phone to check my shaving. They gave me the room closest to the elevator lobby, and it might have been the runt of the litter and I just had bad luck. Had I noticed these things the night before, I could’ve switched rooms and perhaps not had any of the problems other than the paper thin floor.

    At 4 a.m., drunk people fought in the barbecue area in front of the pool. I couldn't sleep because of the screaming. Police, firefighters, and ambulances arrived. My children also couldn't sleep and were scared.

    This Hotel was about 20 minutes to 25 minutes from everything that we had planned it's actually a 7 minute drive from the airport which we loved there are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. There is a Walmart that is 6 minutes a way and we enjoyed having a hotel that close to everything we needed. The rooms were clean and the thing I like most about the hotel is the laundry is free

    The hotel gave us only three towels and three plates and the room only had two chairs for dining and we had four guests in our room when I asked if we could get extra chairs they told me where I could go get them and take them to my room but I'm a guest I'm not supposed to do that. The curtain in our room was so dirty there was huge things on it I saw a few stains on our bed mattress And outside our window we did not have a nice view we saw a big tree and some type of shed One of the burners on our stove the front one didn't work and one of the outlets in the kitchen didn't work on the website it says they have Netflix in every room that's a lie they said they only have DVD players they can let you borrow I borrowed one and it didn't even work I asked them if they could have somebody come hook it up for us cuz maybe we didn't know how to hook up the DVD player and they never came they left one of My guess on hold on the phone forever and never came back to him! I understand this hotel is cheap but come on they're still certain things that are required of a hotel when they have gas stay there was trash in the hallways If you looked on the wall there were some spots by the baseboards that like it was scratched over the paint was peeling.

    I asked housekeeping for some new towels and they told me they don’t give towels out. They’re only here to clean. I have to go downstairs to the front desk and get them. They had a cart full of towels. I just don’t understand why they didn’t give me no towels I go there came of wood in San Antonio twice a month stay for 4 to 5 days for that kind of service. I might have to move onto a different hotel not good at all when housekeeping can give you towels where they got a cart full of tiles then I go to the front desk and they tell me go to housekeeping and get them so I’m going back-and-forth trying to get towels for me. I finally got some towels and they gave me one towel. What the heck bad service

    I was there for eight days. Nobody came to clean the room to make the better to sweep or mop or vacuum. I had the big sweet room 311. The last couple times they came and got my towels. Never brought new ones. I had to go to the front desk and get them. Housekeeping hanging around. My front door is talking all the time instead of taking care of their job. I’ve been gone there for almost 7 months. This is the worst. I ever had it there. There are not the only. Around the airport. They are more. I could take my business somewhere else.

    Hotel was clean and staff friendly, rooms were spacious and comfortable, surprised no breakfast but coffee was free and delicious, the only issue was safety/security, the morning after our first night my vehicle and another next to it where broken in and had our window broken, nothing was taken, was told by front desk and police they are looking for weapons and target pick up trucks, spent whole afternoon looking for place to replace window, then second night kept going out to parking lot every hour till 1:00 am to check out parking lot, morning front desk stated it is very common now and it might be more convenient to leave vehicle unlocked. I know its happening constantly in City of San Antonio at hotels and restaurants, but a security guard would help since there are is no fence around the establishment.

    Refrigerator was extremely noisy, power kept going out in the room, tv only had limited channels, no kids entertainment, kitchen had no hot water, tub was dirty and hotel staff didn't want to provide extra blanket. They have NO breakfast!

    Hotel was nice, location was convenient. The ladies who worked the front desk were nice. The downfall of this hotel was they did not have enough clean towels, we went one night with only hand towels and washcloths because they didn’t have any bath towels. Housekeeping did not try to clean our room the entire visit until 9 in the morning of the day we were checking out. Our stay was 3 nights.

    I booked online and arrived in the evening at the hotel lobby to find a line of people almost out the door. rather than checking in and going to bed, which was the plan, the long line in the lobby got even longer, prompting me to book another hotel nearby (Red Roof In) and got a ride there to sleep, and in the process losing the money I spent on the room at Candlewood.

    We had a very delayed flight into the San Antonio airport with plans of a family member picking us up to drive us home to the New Braunfels area. Because our flight was so delayed and there were storms, I decided to book a hotel by the airport to stay the night and get picked up in the morning. As soon as I booked the reservation through a third party(hotels.com), I called this location to tell the staff that we would be arriving very very late (2:30-3am). The woman working the desk rushed me off the phone saying the lobby was full of customers...I was a customer TOO!!!! she asked my name and said she would make a note that me andy family would be getting in very late because of flight delays. When we arrived (around 2 am), the young man working the front desk laughed and said "I was about to cancel your reservation!" Even though I had just booked it about 4.5 hours prior. I told him about the woman I spoke to saying she would make a note of my name, reservation, and arrival time situation... He told me he saw no note and told me "well I tried to call you about FIVE times!" And I replied " I was on an AIRPLANE!!!". When I went downstairs in the am to check with the front desk clerk (young woman with a red streak in her hair who was very professional & nice) I specifically put the do not disturb sign on the door because our toddler was still tired from our trip. my husband said the cleaning staff STILL knocked multiple times very loudly! They should know better!!!

    Facility is run down. Carpet was left very wet and staff did nothing to correct it. My room type was over booked. Had to settle for a sofa bed. Shower was in poor shape. AC controllers would not work properly.

    The room was very old looking. Cars got broken into in the parking lot. I did not feel safely in my car in the parking lot. The car was dirty. It was not a pleasant experience.

    While completing the police report the officer told me this particular hotel parking lot is targeted on a regular basis. The hotel staff didn't seem to care at all and did not even offer an apology or any kind of assistance related to this matter. I definitely would never recommend this property to anyone.

    Make sure you demand to be placed in your correct room. The staff was no help at all. The dishes in the room are dirty so please wash them before you use them. The TV is a standard TV, which means you can not watch your Netflix at all. The staff do not like our kind there. When you know you know. The reason I was not placed in my correct room.

    I was at this hotel for a 3-night stay, and during the first two nights the fire alarm was going off in my room between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., and again between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. It would also go off during random times throughout the day. Imagine getting woke up to that daily. The hotel was completely booked so they cannot move me to another room until Sunday around 2pm... which was my last night there. I spoke to the owner Raj and I told him I would want one night comped, which I believe is more than fair... He told me to write down my information and that he would contact me in the morning.... which you guessed it---DIDNT HAPPEN! I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt that he would actually contact me and do the right thing... But I know that he wouldn't because why not take care of it right then and there while I'm here in front of you...IF you were going to do the right thing? You are the owner and the decision is yours!! I called to follow up this afternoon and was of course given the run around that he's not available and when asked when he would be available....the answer is....we never know.... typical. You have trained your staff well!!!! Based on my treatment from staff and owner I cannot recommend this hotel and would advise you to go where you are treated like a guest-not $

    This particular hotel is showing its age. It’s dirty for it to be a part of a prestigious chain. The lobby is deceiving. It is the only nice part of the hotel. The hallway rugs need to be vacuumed and all the walls could use some painting. The showers have orange mildew and the showerheads have calcium build up which prevents the water from flowing normally. The elevator button panel on the 3rd floor looks as though someone punch it in. Our 1st night (Tuesday) there were piles of trash on both ends of the floor. The staff is so unpleasant they couldn’t care if you were coming or going. They don’t speak to their guest. The only ones that were friendly were the 1st day I checked in and I never saw that team again. As I checked out this morning at 0330 I could not get a receipt because the desk clerk was waiting on a few more check ins? Also the halls have a terrible smell. Never again will I stay at a Candlewood Suites.
