Drury Inn & Suites Near La Cantera Parkway

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Love the parking garage and needing a card for access to the garage and elevators from within. We felt safe. The place is so nice, clean and well maintained. The employees are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The hotel is clean. Love the breakfast buffet and the evening foods. The hotel has indoor pool and my kids enjoyed themselves.

The kitchen staff presented a slight challenge. they closed the bar 45 minutes early and i didn’t get to experience my 2nd drink. When we inquired the next morning to get syrup they shared that the kitchen was closing in 30 minutes so they couldn’t provide any syrup so my grandson enjoyed his waffle with butter.

Great location to hit up just about anything you want and need to do. It had a parking garage to help keep things a bit more safe and convenient. Unfortunately some road construction was going on during my stay. That is completely out of the hotels hands, but it did make getting in and out of the parking lot a little more difficult.

Honestly I didn't read everything the hotel offered when I booked, so was surprised to discover not only breakfast, but also dinner. Unfortunately we missed dinner most nights because we were at Fiesta for an event. Also the parking garage was a nice surprise, although was slightly difficult because I drive a full-size truck. I love this hotel and it will be at the top of my list for any future trips to San Antonio. My biggest issue is in the parking garage. All of the mirrors are dirty, and some need to be angled differently.

Nice staff, good pool area, food options Food options were a little challenging at kick back for folks with carb challenges and spice issues. Options leaned one of those two ways… Kraft dressing is gross Coffee creamer flavors would be nice. At least French vanilla. Pool water was chilly. Would be nicer for kiddos a couple degrees warmer.

Great check-in experience. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Great bonus of the "snacks" offered by the hotel between 5:30 and 7:00 pm. My wife and I found it more than snacks, having more offered than we expected, including pulled pork. One could actually consider it a meal. Hot tub was excellent: we hoped that the indoor pool would be heated. However, it wasn't. Other than the cold pool (although we got used to it), we greatly recommend this hotel! My wife and I wished we had more time to enjoy the hotel. We will certainly return and stay here again.

I love everything from the rooms to the pools and especially the free drinks and food they gave us in the afternoon. This is my hotel for future trips.

Washers and dryers were not working right. But everything else was great.

The room was clean and my kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. Also the breakfast and kickback are great. We will definitely be back

One of the best parts of staying here was that both breakfast and the evening meal were included. The food was very good, and having those meals included added a lot of value to our stay. Breakfast offered a nice variety of options, and the evening meal was a convenient and enjoyable bonus. The only negative thing I can say is that the indoor pool was a little chilly. It wasn't a major issue, but I would have preferred the water to be a bit warmer. Overall, I highly recommend the Drury Hotel. The cleanliness, excellent staff, and included meals made for a wonderful stay, and I would definitely stay here again.

We love this place! From the cleanliness to the amazing staff to the great hot breakfast. This is where we stay everytime we go to San Antonio. The only thing I didnt like was having to leave.

King suite was decent size, could have been cleaned alittle better. Overall good. Did not have soaps, lotions anything like that. Breakfast was decent, afternoon happy hour food was pretty good, nice selection.

This property never disappoints. Always clean, large rooms, and great staff. Only drawback is the crowded breakfast and manager's reception, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Perfect location if you are visiting Fiesta Texas. The only negative is all of the construction for I-10, which passes right by the hotel. But traffic is the issue, not noise, so it was manageable.

While everything had been going well, at around 2:30am, I heard a car alarm going off, I looked out the window and saw four men breaking into a truck in the parking lot. I called the front desk and the female said she would call the police. I could’ve go back to sleep after that. When I checked out at 7a, I looked out and saw another customer’s truck had been broken into as well and the first truck was still in the same condition. I’m assuming the front desk never contacted law enforcement. I’ve always enjoyed my stays at Drury, but this time it was very uncomfortable. I never saw security on the patrolling the property. I hope this was an isolated incident.

The indoor pool and hot tub area were nice. Having the evening bites/drinks as well as the morning breakfast included in the room price made this stay a good deal.

The whole was like a step up from other box hotels that are in the same price range. From the room size and bathroom upgrades to the breakfasts and happy hours, everything just seemed a little nicer and better quality. It was a great stay!

one-night stay while on way to a conference. lots of Six Flags travelers in the hotel which is great, but on a Saturday it made for a pretty lively experience in the lobby at breakfast and at the evening welcome/reception. Nice rooms. Lots of road construction and traffic rerouting around the hotel made transportation difficult but that's certainly not the fault of the hotel. Lobby was inviting and clean and the dining area for the reception and breakfast was spacious and well laid out. The adjoining Applebee's is very convenient.

You can't beat the Drury Inn. Their breakfast is great, their kickback meals are perfect if you are wanting to save on meals. The alcoholic beverages are high quality beers and yummy mixers. On top of that, the staff is great. Super friendly, always supervising that guests are content. We love it here!! Plus the indoor pool is nice and clean.

We enjoyed the stay love the parking the only thing we didn’t like was we were a late check in we were coming in from Corpus Christi and I don’t get out of work until midnight so we arrive at 2:30 am , and we payed on line for our stay so we wouldn’t have any issues and then we got there they said they’re was a cut off time to check in , which I think is ridiculous because you already payed for the room so it’s yours already you just need someone to give the keys, so make sure your there before cut off time ! And SECONDLY I feel it’s so far away from San Antonio and all the things to do ! So once you go out do everything at once because it’s too far to be going back and forth

We had a good experience at this hotel.

I didn’t see much of the staff and during the time there’s an intersection being worked on. Did take good options for food near by, not really big on the Applebees next door service was bad. Just was tedious to get into the hotel the parking is about main lobby 4 floors then the hotel rooms are above that. Does get busy where you have to wait for elevators. Nice terrace area. Food was good but think that they should have it open longer due it being spring break I understand out of that the time but wasn’t very happy because it was busy and they could of let it stay open longer week hours due to spring break

Everything was wonderful! Patio with a nice view of a green space, a veranda on our floor (6th), room was clean, bed was comfy with lots of pillows, complimentary breakfast and dinner were great too. The staff was super friendly and everything was clean. Definitely will stay here on our next trip to San Antonio!

Right next to Valero Park with miles of woods and trails. Breakfast was excellent and the food in the evening is enough for a meal. The best part...3 free drinks every evening.

Construction all around, noise, dust. Dirty room all pillows in hair. The elevators are disastrous, people wait for so long they have to take stairs and I had a baby and a stroller. Will never ever stay there again!

Check in was quick and painless. Parking was in a multi-story parking structure with access controlled by one's room key. My room was on the 12th floor which ended up be less than desireable due to one of the elevators being out of service. My room was fine, nothing really stood out as being great or bad. The included breakfast had plenty of options and met my needs.

The room was very clean and everything appeared to be brand new, the breakfast and snacks served at happy hour were surprisingly good. The parking garage was also very good the ceiling in the garage looks high enough for a large pick-up to pull into. The staff were very nice and were able to answer all my questions about the facilities without guessing or asking others for help. I am planning on staying there again soon.

Having stayed at some other Drury Inns, this was much nicer than I expected. I never write reviews, but I was so impressed with how friendly the staff was. This hotel is very well managed because you could tell it was part of the culture.

There is alot of construction around this hotel. We still love the location, staff, amenities, price, pool, and cleanliness. Will continue to go there.

This was a family friendly hotel and my daughter loved it! We plan on returning soon and will stay here again. HIGHLY Recommended!

Also, there was either a pet making very loud noises or an autistic non-verbal child making very loud noises for hours on Saturday. It caused our daughter to not be able to go to sleep when she needed to, for an important swim meet that required her to be up at 6am. My husband actually reached out to the staff to figure out where the noises were coming from. They could hear it to, but never found the source. For these reasons, we will not be staying at this Drury La Cantera Pkwy when we have to go down to San Antonio again for swim meets.

I got a room with a terrace which was highly convenient for me and the room was accessible with plenty of space.

The lobby and facilities were very nice. They have more than adequate parking. Breakfast was very good. The room, although dark without the windows open, was nice and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a well lit mirror and the shower had plenty of hot water. The shower head could deliver a stronger stream, but was adequate and it wasn't softened water which I hate. But lets face it, with the road construction and the deadened road noise, it was somewhat distracting.

The bed was very comfy, the staff were kind and efficient, the breakfast was good, the hot tub was great AND they offer a free “wind down” meal with 3 free drinks each night. Really couldn’t get a better deal.

The two assistant general managers, Zekayla (spelling?) - evening and Andrew - morning, were absolutely delightful to meet and converse with. No simple chit-chatting, but sincere interest in us and enjoyable conversations with them during our mealtimes. They connected with every hotel guest in the same manner. They made the overnight stay the best hotel experience of our 18-day trip. They are stars! The evening reception of "snacks and drinks" is really a full-blown meal with up to three alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, all at no charge; meatballs and gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad, chicken tortilla soup were the menu the night we were there. Breakfast in the morning was equally sumptuous, also included in the room rate. Our room was huge, really three rooms, well-furnished, and with a very comfortable king-size bed. My wife enjoyed the indoor pool and the hot tub during the evening. If you really need to go out for a meal (we definitely did not!), there is an Applebee's right next door. Finally, the hotel has a very convenient parking garage, and no charge to use it. There is some nearby freeway construction going on right now, but our vehicle's navsystem took us right to the hotel with no problem. At about only $125.00 (incl. taxes), it was easily the best value for the money during our trip. We highly recommend this hotel.

A couple things that took me down to 4 stars… the bathtub is made for children. It is NOT a normal size tub at all. It works great for showers but a bath is not happening and apparently we were lucky enough for a high school basketball team to be sharing the hotel and I can bet they had the entire floor above us. They literally ran up and down the hallways or rooms all night. I got maybe an hour or two of sleep. My pup was agitated also which didn’t help my sleep or lack of. Staff was awesome and I would def stay again.

The hotel was great. Check in was super easy, they were super nice. Our room was great. The bed was comfortable. We had a room on the back side of the hotel. I did talk to a woman who had a room on the fron side and she said she heard jackhammering all night because of all the construction. That would be the only negative of this hotel is all the construction but even though i had to navigate through all of it i would stay here again. The breakfast was amazing and the happy hour in the evening was great as well.

Everything was great at this hotel. The value was immense. Being able to park in the garage for free and have a reasonable rate for such a large room with the kitchen area was awesome. Included breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub and daily happy hour. I didn’t wanna leave!

We’ve stayed here a couple times and both times were great. The only issue is the construction going on (which is not the fault of the hotel). We stayed here because it is very close to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. They have an excellent breakfast as well as evening food and drinks. The hotel is clean and the staff is nice. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Six Flags.

Staff that tends the afternoon managers event are very rude and gave the feeling that they didnt want to be there. Breakfast was great but same about the staff working that area. Let me tell you at promptly 9:30 they were removing the food right in front of you ensuring that breakfast was over.

Every staff member encountered was warm, helpful, and professional. The facility itself is a bit tired as are the rooms. Bed was hard and sheets scratchy. Worst for me was that the AC was inadequate. Staff was fabulous though and quickly assisted with a room change to help out, but it never did get cool enough or push enough air out so my stay was uncomfortable.

There was construction on the highways so getting into the lot was a bit of a mess at certain times but overall great location, love the security and parking along with the quick access to many restaurants, shops, and entertainment facilities. The staff was kind and the amenities were great!

The hotel is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the hotel is trendy. BUT there is major highway construction going on and it was extremely difficult to get to the hotel on Saturday evening. It took us 3 hours to figure out how to maneuver the mess there in San Antonio. Unfortunately, this is going to go on for a few years. The traffic was horrendous. I realize this isn’t the hotel’s fault. But I won’t be staying in this area of SA any time soon.

Theirs demolition happening literally right at the road. The officer on duty there told me that the construction guys would be there all day and night breaking down the old overpass. Would have been nice to be notified about this but cant complain to much because i didnt get charged for a cancelation fee. Also, it took us another hour due to traffic to get to the hotel since theyve closed off majority od the road.

Horrible construction around hotel. Could hear Jack hammering as we slept. Bathroom sink’s water didn’t work. Drove around for an hour just trying to get into the hotel because of police barrages and traffic and construction. No water bottles on room. Felt more like a motel.

We arrived around 1am the doors were locked and it took awhile for the front desk guy to open the door .. but he was very friendly.. the elevators were not clean but we didn’t have to wait long unlike the wait in the morning for breakfast ( it took for ever ) the rooms were okay not the nicest Drury Inn I’ve stayed in . Beds were uncomfortable and the rooms were a bit outdated which is understandable for an older hotel . The bedding was nice and clean so that was good . We had a room with a private terrace it was okay . The construction going on at the highway beside the hotel was very loud we heard it all night . Apparently in San Antonio the do road construction at night so get ready for lots of detours to get to the hotel . The breakfast was okay when you finally get on an elevator. There was a good selection for everyone . We never used the pool it was pretty crowed so we didn’t bother . But the pool area seemed clean . The A/C was nice and cold so that was good . Overall it was okay not the best Drury Inn but not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in .. it cost us $480 for 2 nights . We had a double queen bed room with a terrace.

The staff is so friendly, the food is great, the morning breakfast and the kickbacks are amazing. The only thing that was a problem was the construction around the hotel which made getting back and forth to the property a messy traffic situation. That's not the hotel's fault, but it's something I want to point out.

I was a little nervous to book this hotel because of all the construction going on around it but I’m glad I did! The hotel was wonderful! The room was clean, free breakfast was probably the largest I’ve seen so far, their happy hour was a nice surprise and loved the covered parking especially since it rained the whole time we were in San Antonio. Coming back for sure! Easy on and off the freeway and conveniently located to shop at La Cantera or the Rim. Close to restaurants and other fun stuff.

The property was in very close proximity to the area we were visiting. The meals were awesome as well as the children loved the swimming pool. Our rooms were clean and neat and all the staff was very friendly.

Overall, the hotel is great! Nice breakfast and evening snack area with a variety of choices, clean, beds are comfortable, and the area is convenient with access to two major highways. However, during our stay, the intersection of these two major highways was under construction and often closed. This meant finding back roads and alternative routes was necessary and sometimes the entrance to the hotel was even closed necessitating having to find an officer nearby to open it to allow you to get back to your hotel. This, of course, is not the fault of the hotel but is the only reason I did not rate it 5 stars.

Our stay at Drury was excellent. The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The grounds of the property were well kept and front desk staff was professional and courteous too. We will definitely be back!

This hotel was clean, safe and very convenient. Breakfast and Dinner was served everyday and the staff was very nice I also got to enjoy their church service on Sunday . The convenient part was that I was close to Six Flags which was part of my trip .

Yet there was constructions going on if you follow the gps correctly you won’t have a problem. From entrance to room everything was clean and nice. Very convenient to shopping and other stores. We loved the garage security and covered parking. The cantera shops are right across.

This is my 2nd time staying here and I love it, this hotel is in the middle of six flags park and Seaworld...great pool with stairs for older people, breakfast if excellent with variety of food and drinks.

Smells old and dirty. Room was humid and dirty. Restroom had mold. Couch and carpet felt dirty like they haven't been cleaned for months. Terrible how they haven't kept it up to code.

Everything was great and the food was awesome . Only thing too many dogs every where especially in the food area . Gods do shead hair. Constantly walk in and out. One man walk his two dog four time in and out back to back while I was sitting the lobby . All was good considering .👌😂

The pool is indoor and the room has tile. It’s extremely slick and my son fell and really hard and hurt his head, altering our plans for fiesta Texas the next day because of a possible concussion. The rest of the stay was fine.

Excellent staff and room. It’s our second time at a Drury Inn and it was just as good. Jacuzzi was great each morning as well. The fitness center was clean and organized.

I would definitely recommend this place. This is the first time we stay at a Drury Inn and it was a great stay. The breakfast had a lot of options, the appetizers for the evening were filling. Employees were nice and respectful. The rooms were spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Good food and drink

The overall experience was good. However, I would not come back to this location since y there was a very long time to take the elevator. Only two our of three very slow elevators where working. Stair were an option, but you would have to go down at least 6 floors to get tl the lobby.

There was leak and water dripping down from the ceiling. The carpet was wet and smelled bad. In addition, my luggages became wet and new gifts that I bought for my family all got wet and damaged. I went down to the front desk at least three times to talk to the managers and every time the front desk told me that we do not have a manager at the moment and be back in 2-3 hours. They did not care about anything and never address my concern. poor customer service.

Staff were helpful and courteous. Don’t park in the open lot. Use the parking garage as it’s locked. Our truck was broke into on the front lot overnight. The manager was very helpful getting us number we needed for police and window repair. They vacuumed the glass out for us and taped the window for us until it could be repaired.

It was a great location and space for our family of 5. The only downside was the congested elevators!

The hotel was excellent, but do to the construction 🚧, it was not an a great experience, its needs to be posted on the site about the construction, because you can never get to hotel same way no matter how long you are out for.

I booked with hotels .com for my guys traveling for work . I called the hotel directly to arrange for my id and credit card for incedentials and to let them know my guys are running late due to working in Corpus and driving in . I get a call at 1 am , Matthew refused to check them in due to a hole being in the corner of the id … at 1 am after working all day and driving into the night …. Wow

Pleasantly surprised at the 3 free drinks and free buffet at night as well as a great breakfast bar in the mornings. Rooms were clean, well kept and the staff was extremely kind.

I was very happy with secured parking and the indoor pool when rain ruined our planned outing. There was a questionable guest getting a little close to our children and interaction with adults was off putting but like at all other times we kept our kids close. Probably could have told front desk about it but was only there for a day.

Hotel service was great, got a lot of stares and being a African American that was kind of weird… also we went into the Applebees and waited for a waiter but no one never came so we got up and left. Breakfast was ok, could have been better. It takes forever for the elevator to arrive.

Watch out too much construction going on no lighting around it it's completely dark to get there missed my exit more than once but overall the hotel it's amazing

Quick check in and was kind enough to explain the free drinks and snacks served in the evenings. Pool and hot tub was clean and large. Room was clean and quiet even being right by the freeway. Cute terrance on the 6th floor. And bonus access to Applebees. Very impressed with our stay.

Great time here, the room was good, spacious and most of all I didn't feel worried about my car as much due to the parkinglot was more secured and attached to the hotel. I liked that you can just use the elevator from the car parking and its very convenient. We did use the pool and hot tub for about 45 minutes, have to mention that the pool water did seem super cold and I didn't even get in more than than my legs, and the hot tub was hot and cozy. It was fun. I also loved that we got there in time for a complimentary drink. Will come back if needed again. Worth it due to peace of mind.
