It was an excellent stay, highly recommend.

Stayed here for 6 nights while vacationing in San Antonio. Right from the start I knew this was going to be an enjoyable place to stay. Vivian welcomed us with a Big Smile and Hello. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We picked this place because it was fairly close to downtown and the Riverwalk and we could park our vehicle without paying an extra parking fee. The shuttle was an awesome perk. We used the service multiple times and the drivers were great. A pool is shared with the Residence Inn but was not a problem getting to. Breakfast was very good, plenty of options. Also it was close to the Historic Market Square. I can't say enough about the Staff of this place, everyone was so friendly, had good knowledge about San Antonio, and just made us feel so welcomed. When we return we will definitely stay here again. Thank You Fairfield Inn Employees, give yourselves a pat on the back for an Amazing Job!

Location and staff were fantastic. First night, we had a smoke alarm go off for 15 minutes every hour from midnight until they changed the battery the next afternoon.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pamela and Danielle helped me at the front desk. Jesus drove me to the Riverwalk area. All were very friendly. Gym could use some attention. Towels needed to be washed and available. Bin was full.

The location was good, quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices. It really was a plus to have transportation to the major tourist attractions the drivers were very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel it was about 5am and all of the rooms were fully booked the night before but the staff managed to find a room for us so we could rest, this was very appreciated. The cleanliness and attention to the rooms could have been better and the washer and dryers were not cleaned regularly. I realize that getting staff to do these jobs is hard but attention to these details could put your facility at a higher level in the ratings.

It was close to downtown. There was no outdoor sitting area for guests. There was no indoor sitting area with comfortable furniture for guest. The only area to sit and relax was at the dining room tables.

The stay was amazing every thing was good. We ran into one problem with the WiFi, but thanks to the front desk they got us right very quickly.

The reception team was nice and placed us on the ground floor due to not working lift 1. You can actually hear every step from the 1st floor above us - creaking noise, I can send you the movie I recorded. Not hotels fault. 2. The breakfast space is crowdy and it is super hard to find an empty spot - I have seen these comments at booking. 3. One day the floor after the breakfast until late afternoon was super sticky everywhere  4. One day we got a one signal call at 11pm which woke up whole family (it is not easy to put back to sleep two kids, we were back sleeping at 12. The next day in the morning at 6am we got a wakeup call which was never ordered. Reception lady was also surprised when I asked her why we got the call. Every traveler knows what is really important especially if you travel with kids , and this is cleanliness. And for that you really guys missed it. Bed was ok with fresh pillows. BUT Plenty of pubic hair under the shower tells that no one even used water to clean this spot. Floor with dust etc. This makes me feel that the carpet was not cleaned at all if the area which should be clean with detergents (bathroom) was not cleaned - we walk in our socks because of that. In general if you look at my booking I give 9s and 10s most of the time because I try to choose good spots to sleep over, this is why I was expecting much more for 8,7

Clean rooms loved the free shuttle to the Riverwalk great amenity... and great breakfast Water leaking from the air conditioner and the shower drained slow also loud late night noise in the hallway and next door

Disappointing

Always a pleasant stay at this Fairfield Inn. The room was clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Love using the gym room which offers plenty of workout options. The continental breakfast offers many various breakfast/snack items to get your day started. And they offer free on-site parking and the property is very walkable to downtown as well.

Probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Staff was very kind and even let me check in early.

I booked this room for our bus driver on a group trip. I called ahead to ensure the bus could be parked at the facility and everything was taken care of. When the driver arrived they turned him away and we had to find a new room. They were also not proactive about issuing a refund, and neither was Hotels.com. This was the only issue in an otherwise great trip to San Antonio.

Breakfast was very good, it was nice to have some cereal and fruit to start the day. There were also good options of cooked food. Staff member Pamela, at the front desk, was very helpful, we were disappointed with the size of our room when we arrived - it was very dated! Pamela was able to sort us out a different room that we were more happy with, she did this with no problem. Plenty of parking space in front of the hotel. Room we were first allocated was very disappointing- dated and very dark!

Staff was accommodating, breakfast was great, room was exactly as advertised. The only concern I had is that I was awakened by a phone call both mornings; there was no person on the other end of my answer and I did not set up a wake-up call. The calls came for no apparent reason.

The price per night was decent The air conditioning unit was leaking in the whole side of my bed was soaking wet on the floor. Also we put Do Not Disturb while we were out because we had all of our jewelry and electronic sitting out in the May 20 went in anyway and cleaned the room and we asked them not to this may not seem like a big deal but it really is. The purpose of being able to hang the sign on the door is to not have anyone come in the room I don't believe this was taken seriously at all. The breakfast was just okay mediocre at best! The hotel seems old the breakfast area was pretty tiny and cramped.

Great location. Safe walking distance to the Alamo, River Walk and Market Square. Plenty choice for breakfast and staff are friendly and helpful. Handy shuttle available if you don’t fancy walking to the centre. Plenty free parking. Room a bit dated and only one lift.

Reasonable room rate. Good size room. Fitness center was well equipped. Good selection for breakfast. Shuttle service was very convenient. Staff was very helpful. Bottled water was provided every day. Very close to a small HEB grocery store. Maid service was inconsistent. Towels were coarse. Unable to control refrigerator temperature so it was not as cold as I prefer for beverages. Area seemed safe but a nice F-250 truck was broken into during one evening.

The front desk did not give out this information, when asked, and just said sometimes its really sketchy. No offer for options. Was there for surgery on husband and I had to go to a coffee shop to do my business communication. I had already paid for the stay but I left 2 days early to move to another place with better wifi.

The desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming. Since we'd been here before, we knew what to expect and were pleased to see it hadn't changed!

The staff was great. Breakfast was okay I mean breakfast was really good but San Antonio has lots of good food options so we didn't eat that. They did have lots and lots of options even gluten-free options. They were water bottles available to take everyday the ice machine made crystal clear ice, the gym facilities was extremely up to date and very nice We really didn't like that we were told the pool would be available and you had to walk across the parking lot and three out of the 5 days we were there the pH was so high we couldn't go in the pool. We also didn't like that the AC's did not keep the room cool enough for us also it sounded like they were swamp coolers and not ACS and the rooms had a really funny musty smell but that went away once you turn the AC on

The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable, making for a very pleasant stay. One feature I especially appreciated was the complimentary shuttle service to downtown and Market Square, which made getting around so convenient. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my visit. I would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next trip to San Antonio. N/A

A few negatives were that the breakfast was pretty much the same thing day after day. I think it would be helpful to change things up every couple of days. Another thing is that sections of the hotel need minor updating, but for the location and price this was an awesome stay and made for a wonderful vacation.

The place is great. The parking lot is a bit small, but I was able to find parking every day. The only issue was that when I got there, my room was not ready, and it took them about 30 minutes for it to be ready, even though it was after 3 PM. I was upgraded to a suite which was really nice, but I think this is because of my status on Hotels.com. The breakfast was good. I liked it. The fitness center was amazing, the treadmills were very modern and super clean. They had free weights and a couple of benches that were also very new. Overall, I loved my stay.

This hotel was okay. Would I go back? Maybe. It was close enough to everything ( 8 ish min drive ) from the Alamo, riverwalk, food options and the Walter’s gate at FT. Sam. When I arrived my room wasn’t ready ( 4:30 pm so after check in time ) but they moved things around and placed me somewhere else. The room was relatively clean. It could have been cleaner but wasn’t cringeworthy. The room was in better condition than the lobby / exterior. The bed and pillows were not great but it had decent linens. Small tv which was fine. AC worked well, was slightly loud but not bothersome. The blackout curtains were pretty great. Fridge in the room was nice and cold and worked awesome. One of my water bottles actually frozen solid. The shower had mediocre water pressure at best and two mornings within 5 minutes the shower was luke warm to cold. The included breakfast was decent, the make your own waffles was fun, then other standard items. The breakfast potatoes served each morning were not good, a combination of not hot enough and weird texture? The last night there the Netflix on the tv would. I longer connect which was a bummer. Overall it was affordable and fine.

Perfect stay. Convenient location with an HEB Marketplace down the street and downtown/Riverwalk a walkable 20-25 minutes away. Free parking, no junk fees, and free hotel shuttle to downtown. The rooms are a bit dated but they're spotless, quiet (good windows!) and comfortable. Amazing staff.

Room was very clean. Hotel provided pump shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash in the shower. Complimentary breakfast in the mornings and a complimentary shuttle that can take you to and from the airport to the hotel, as well as to downtown anytime! Staff was very friendly and accomidating. Overall, a lovely experience!

Breakfast had limited options and was not well stocked - no milk, no eggs, limited low carb options on 2 of the 3 days. Shuttle was incredibly slow with airport pickup and desk clerks were a bit condescending.

Great customer service by the front desk... We came back in the evening and were making Hot Chocolate at the reception era and the front desk agent offered to go get us milk and heat it up for a better hot chocolate, instead of using water.

The room was clean. All staff except for a few front staff were polite, and helpful. Having breakfast was great and shuttle is why I canceled a different location and chose this hotel. A shuttle is important. On social media I saw alot of families asking about a shuttle so they can see their kids graduate from the Air Force every Wed and Thur.

To be honest, this hotel was an average hotel. It was the staff that made it a great stay for my wife and I. The people at the front desk were very accommodating. We had no transportation. The shuttle was invaluable to us! They picked us up from the airport, they had regular runs to the downtown/Riverwalk area, and when our schedule was a little off from theirs, they went out of their way to make sure we got to where we needed to go. The breakfast was good. There was always coffee in the lobby. We never felt like an inconvenience to any of the staff. So, average hotel, WONDERFUL staff!! I think we're going to switch our points program from Hilton to Marriott.

This was far the best Hotel I stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, polite. They go the extra mile with service. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable.

Room needs attention, refrigerator did not work. When reported the worked on it, and disabled the TV, refrigerator still did not work. Gave up trying. Toilet spued contents at every flush. Older building needs some TLC.

The overall stay was ok, however, there were roaches in the bathroom of our first room. The front desk was quickly responsive and accommodated by providing a new room in a different area. Overall, the staff members were pleasant and decent, my only complaint is the bugs.

Need to be updated and the maintenance wild I stay there was sloppy, bed was not made all the way or sheets changed, I had to ask at the front the desk to vacuum my room because they just didn’t and I was walking on crumbs.

The area could use an update but don’t let that stop you from staying here. Friendly staff, good breakfast, free parking with security, and a free shuttle . Room was clean with comfortable beds and the gym was more than what I was expecting.

What I didn’t love: • Only one elevator, so wait times can get frustrating during busy hours. • The breakfast area is small and tends to get crowded quickly — it was hard to find a seat in the mornings. • Can be pricey depending on the rate you book. • A bit far from the Alamo and River Walk — not really walkable, so you’ll need to drive or use a ride share if you’re planning to visit those spots. Overall, a clean, quiet, and comfortable stay. If you’re okay with a short drive to the main tourist spots and some minor crowding at breakfast, it’s a solid place to stay.

The thermostat takes a while to cool the room down, it’s consistent at 75 degrees. Shower curtain was placed too high so water drips on the bathroom floor. If you stayed in the lower level you get to be awaken by loud thump from higher floors.

This hotel needs upgrading really bad, it wasnt cleaned very well, i always double clean any place i stay but i had to do extra with this place. The funiture is out dated as well i just wasnt comfortable, the pillows were extremely soft to the point where my neck was hurting. I will never stay here again

Me and my mother stayed for her birthday, the staff was friendly and nice the room was clean. The continental breakfast was ok and is from 6 to 9 30. The room got pretty cold which was great considering how hot its been. The gym was very nice as well and had good equipment. The only negative is that the hallway smelled pretty bad and the is a lot of construction in the area.

The room was amazing I like how the bed area is separate from the living area we don’t see that much anymore. Everything was neat, front desk clerk was friendly and kind. The breakfast was superb though the lobby was full of visitors haha but it was an awesome stay!

Stay was great! Staff was friendly and very prompt with services. The only issue we had was that the AC in the room was not in a constant temperature. It was hot, then the AC would turn on and it kept going all night which caused the night to be long. Other than that, our stay was great! I loved the distance to the highways and areas and the complimentary breakfast was great!

Property could use an update. Breakfast area is very small, okay food. rooms need updating. you could see the drywall tape on ceiling. Cleaning ladies were so nice and efficient. Checkin was good, too. They have yummy cookies

Good place to stay as a stop over for a night.

We were looking for hotel to stay at to visit the river walk/downtown/market square that didnt break the bank, didnt charge extra for parking, and that was clean and nice. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. Affordable for us, but still clean and comfortable, easy to navigate to in my larger truck, free (and easy) parking, walking distance to both market square and the river walk. Staff was fantastic and friendly (I was not familier with the area so they were very informative and helpful). The area felt safe enough to walk to the riverwalk at night, lots of people still walking around even at 10pm. And if you dont feel like walking, they offer a free shuttle service that we utilized the 2nd night after a long day. I wouldn't call this a luxury hotel, there are plenty of those on the river walk, but if your looking for an affordable, clean, friendly, accessible and well located hotel to visit downtown, this is the one.

1. the place is very clean and in good conditions 2. they offer a great continental breakfast every morning 3. they offer transportation from and to the airport at no additional cost 4. they also offer rides to the riverwalk and the square market and scheduled pickups at these same locations with no additional cost 5. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful; Carlos, one of the drivers, gives outstanding service. He is very polite, helpful and always on time. A few cons: 1. I stay in the room right across from the eating area; I think that should not be a room. It is very convenient, but since it is located very close to the front desk and elevator, it can be a little noisy. Also, you wake up to the noise when the staff starts making breakfast (as early as 4am). They are not trying to make a lot of noise, but the proximity does not help with the noise. 2. the bed was a little hard to my liking 3. There is another driver that is never on time and is not the best driver This hotel is a great option if you are staying in San Antonio. I would definitely recommend and would be back.

The staff was amazing. Place was very clean. Restroom was a little small but other than that I loved it. I can’t wait to come back to San Antonio, I will most definitely be staying there again.

Very good stay, comfortable, felt very safe and welcomed.

My stay at this hotel was highly disappointed the room lacked basic necessities such as towels and toilet paper and house keeping duties. Additionally there was no hot water-for days and the smell of marijuana permeated throughout the hotel creating an unpleasant environment which made our children really sick. The pool wasn’t indoor it was outside fool of bugs. overall the experience was far below expectations. And did not meet even the most basic standards of hospitality.

1. Shuttle to/from airport. For me, this is gold. I don't have to pay for Uber, Lyft, or a taxi. The driver is friendly, recommends great places to see and eat. And, I can tip him/her and it is always less than pay transportations 2. Friendly staff, they know my name. Helped ensure that my points were added to my account. Gave me a gift when I checked in and reminded of their comp full hot breakfast in the morning. Yummy on the quality of the food also. 3. The bed was superb. The right amount of not too hard, not too soft ---- just right (said Goldilocks). I slept so well. I woke up and felt refreshed and even took another nap later in the day. Time zone difference. Thank you Fairfield staff for making this a wonderful relaxing business trip. I will definitely recommend your location to others.

Front Desk staff was friendly and helpful

The hot breakfast was cold. The first night, the shower was not hot. The room had a strange smell. There should be benches out front while waiting for pickup.

We had a good experience staying in Fairfield Inn. Hotel was not super new but very clean and mantained. Staff was very friendly. Hotel parking was free and was about a 20-ish walk towards the river walk. Many options at a walking distance close to the hotel. Or you could rent yourself a VEO or BIRD scooter to get to places. Would definitely consider staying again.

Absolutely one of the best hotel stays we have had in a long time! Very clean, bed was amazing, and breakfast had lots of options. We will definitely be staying again on our next trip through San Antonio area!

The property was fine, from my room there was more street traffice noise than I care for.

We use this hotel whenever we have medical appts in the San Antonio area. Located in an area close to a mini HEB. Good breakfast. Good location. If you're open to walking around, then it's great for exploring around the area. Staff is courteous and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are clean, spacious, good linens and toiletries.

Appreciated free parking and shuttle service to Riverwalk and Market. Both important when visiting San Antonio.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield. We walked to Market Square, the Riverwalk and the evening light show at San Fernando Cathedral. Close to the H.E.B. grocery store. Shuttle was a plus.

Good Breakfast options

My main issue was that we were charged for a full night stay when we hadn’t stayed that night because our flight was cancelled due to weather. We explained that we had no control over our flights and wouldn’t be able to check in until the next day. The hotel refused to allow us to adjust our reservation and when we showed up the next day (as we told the hotel when we would be there), they had cancelled our entire reservation and charged us more money to create a new reservation for the rest of our stay.

I arrived really late from games all day; rep stated I had no reservation. Gave an attitude when he stated I was ripped off by Expedia. Then said I needed to buy another night. After 15-20 of going back and forth, he found it. The room was dirty

The staff was helpful & friendly. The rooms were clean, nice beds no smell when we got inside. Brandon, at the front desk, Carlos & Nick shuttle drivers were especially helpful & had a pleasing personality.

The shower faucets were tricky and did not allow enough hot water. The room wasn’t cleaned/serviced even I informed the maid service that the room was ready to be cleaned at 11 AM while leaving the property for the city day tour. When returned at night, nothing was cleaned or replenished.

Friendly staff. The space for toiletries in the bathroom needs to be bigger. It was just a small table. Also need a hook or bar to hang towels.

It wasn’t near downtown but it has a shuttle that takes you to the heart of downtown with consistent drop offs and pick ups. Shuttle even goes to the airport. Has a daily hot breakfast that was good and convenient. Executive king room was large, with a separate sitting area with television. The room felt like an apartment, not just one room. Staff was very helpful and the hotel has an overall clean feel. Would definitely book again and highly recommend. Budget friendly with a hint of luxury. The bedding was luxurious! Crisp white, down bedding and sheets.

We had a good stay and would stay here again. It was a 3 day trip. Nice clean room, great service with the exception of 1 very grumpy breakfast staff that clearly does not value customer service. Nick was an exceptional shuttle staff person, he gave us great recommendations and information! 1 negative was ants by windows—counters in breakfast area. We just moved to a table.

Love how this hotel provides a shuttle to the riverwalk. Would’ve taken advantage if we didn’t have a long night of driving prior. This hotel was incredibly convenient with a decent price and friendly service! Would absolutely come here again in the future!

The room was comfortable and spacious. Front desk staff were friendly and professional. The shuttle pick up from the airport was extremely slow so I ended up paying for a uber instead.

This was our second time staying here, and we’ll stay here again in the future. The room was nice and quiet. The location is great—easy to walk to the Riverwalk, free parking, and there’s an HEB close by in case you need something.

The stay was excellent, me and my friend really enjoyed the stay. The employees were very hospitable and courteous. I will definitely stay again if in the city.

Breakfast was good. Did not have time to enjoy the hot tub or pool but it looked inviting.

Staff friendly. Bed comfortable. Reason I picked is free parking. I hate waiting on valet to get my car. Would give higher score if the fire alarm hadn’t gone off twice waking us up. Never got explanation. Also we stayed Friday and Saturday. No one emptied trash or made beds or supplied clean towels. This isn’t cheap hotel. Road construction nearby made it difficult to get around town.

Front desk staff was great and housekeeping was very helpful. Breakfast options were great. Hotel was central to everything.
