Reviews
The hotel is praised for its convenient location, clean rooms, and friendly staff. However, many guests express dissatisfaction with the state of the hallways, breakfast offerings, and parking fees. Some also mention issues with the room amenities and maintenance.
- Convenient location
- Clean rooms
- Poorly maintained hallways
- Limited breakfast offerings

The blonde lady has a permanent stank face. The Latina lady with an accent was very professional and cordial. Again, blonde lady was short with us and seemed annoyed to have to check us in. She gave monotone and annoyed information.

Good location, friendly and helpful worker, older hotel that needs renovated.
- 3/5
It is an older place and doesn't seem to be the best area. Rooms were cleaned ok. Lad at the desk was very helpful and friendly. Small breakfast choices
- 5/5
Easy to walk to the shops. Cleaning staff was nice. Desk was nice enough, but couldn't really give us any information about old town. Would stay again.
- 4.5/5
Appears to be well maintained. The room was very comfortable. I have no complaints about the property.

Located 8 minutes walk from the old town trolley station and about 7-8 minutes from all the restaurants and stores in old town. Older hotel but updated and very clean and quit I'm still waiting on my security depot be returned day 4 now since we checked out. No reason to hold my deposit this long

Friendly staff. Clean. Room excellent Ok
- 3/5
Convenience to locations in San Diego The building is old, and even though our room was clean, it had a very unpleasant odor when A/C was running.
- 5/5
It was clean and comfortable and ample parking Slightly a bit far from old town when walking

Smells mold; room left dirty;found hair on towel; asked for cancellation, at the night i saw the place, through booking com and they agreed to cancel rest of the nights and property confirmed with me as well but later after 4 days İ called booking com they told me property charged for 2 nights minimum. İ called property again and they told me that booking com policy is that minimum 2 night policy. One of the is lying definetely. İ told booking com that they should have previous customer service agents call with me and talk with them recorded at their end. This is scam.

The rooms were clean & well kept. The cover photo for the hotel is for a park a few miles away, that felt pretty misleading. The breakfast was okay waffles, cold cereal, and toast. The parking garage was pretty tight quarters.
- 3/5
The hotel is around the corner from Old Town which was a very nice and short walk. Although the freeway is next to the hotel it wasn't too loud. The breakfast was decent. The sheets blankets and towels were not very clean and that was probably my biggest issue. The room has a microwave and refrigerator which is very convenient. The bed linen was minimal and not very comfortable. I would say you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
Western inn is located very close to public transportation. The Old town transit center is just down the street, maybe 3 blocks. Best value hands down. Very friendly staff, rooms are clean and the property is quiet
- 1.5/5
The location is so close to the international airport. Staff were courteous and helpful as best as they could be in resolving issues I had on arrival. My original booking was for a "king" bed. On arrival the room was clean, but had a terrible odor. Not able to open windows to get fresh air. I brought my concerns tot the front desk bust was told there was nothing that could be done because the hotel was booked for the weekend (perhaps something might open up the next day. I went back to my room to unpack and discovered there was only 6 hangers with only one for use to hang pants or skirts. There was hand soap dispensers on the sink and shower walls nothing customary to what you would find at other hotels (even Comfort Inn). I went back to the front desk to ask for more hangers and was told not possible because the hangers were held in place b y rings around the poll and since there were no more available rings, it would not be possible to add more hangers. Frustrated, I asked what the policy was for cancellation after (knowing I needed to provide at least 24 hr. notice and I was booked for 3 nights. At that point the front desk staff person informed me that there was a suite room available that I could move to immediately at no upgraded cost. I moved to the suite which was definitely larger, and didn't smell. There were more hangers for my needs. I went to get ice from the machine, The room's ice bucket didn't have a top. Next day I went to for breakfast and was disappointed to find that the eating space was located outside. The actual "breakfast room was the size of a small closet. The food offerings were mini muffins, waffle maker, 2 selections of juice, one container of Cherrios, and oatmeal (which I guessed was instant because it wasn't cooked. None of the usual breakfast options you might expect when breakfast is offered - not even boiled eggs. The juice choices were orange or apple. The orange juice I tossed after one sip because the taste was terrible. So I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel during my entire stay. A very disappointing experience.
- 1.5/5
Close proximity to the airport No closet to hang clothes! And when I asked why they didn't have any closets, the gal at the desk said, "I don't know!" That's unacceptable.
- 4/5
The breakfast is not great
- 5/5
Location Exit out of the parking structure dip at end to the street to high and bottom of car scraped as you drove out.

- 5/5
Everything was great, but breakfast was a bit meager. The waffles were good and it was a pleasant surprise to have them made for you. Real cream for the coffee would have been nice. Some fruit would have been nice too. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay!
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room. Enjoyed my stay.
- 1/5
Location, price. Cheaply remodeled, no tissue box, no towel hooks, loud air-conditioning, no mini fridge, no microwave, shower dripping all night. Free breakfast was waffles and cold cereal in a storage room.
- 3.5/5
Nice place next to Old Town San Diego. Perfect located to visit Old Town, good choices of restaurants and very practical to the trolley to go downtown (station is 5min walk from the Inn). Our room on 1st floor was spacious and furnished with microwave, fridge and coffee machine: perfect for our 2 nights stay. Highly suggested. Plenty of road spaces around the block to park the car too. Breakfast room was tiny,so can get quickly crowded if more than 2 or 3 people are around
- 4.5/5
Close to SDSU campus Breakfest was included Breakfast was literally only a Waffle & Coffee
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and within walking distance to all Old Town spots.

Location-far enough away from the touristy areas to be peaceful but easy walk or drive to all the restaurants, shop and transit center. The room-large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast-it was nice to have it offered but it was VERY carb-heavy. Would have appreciated a little fruit and protein (maybe some hard-boiled eggs?)

Our stay was peaceful. It is near the freeway but there was no noise at all. Rooms were clean and staff were very nice to talk to. It’s a close walking distance to the beginning of Old Town. Don’t count on that early check-in when it’s busy season. Rooms are descent and clean for families. My sister and I loved our stay.

Meh. Cheap hotel in an ok part of town. You get what you pay for.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and located just short walk to downtown with good restaurants and coffee shop.
- 4/5
Breakfast was only a waffle, coffee or juice or toast. No fruit or yogurt and the space was extremely small to get breakfast from. Waffle was actually good just disappointed with the very limited options. Staff was all very nice.
- 2.5/5
Every staff member I encountered was friendly and greeted with a smile every time. The location to Old Town was just down the street so we were able to just walk. It does need a face-lift. It's old and you can hear neighbors, and the parking lot situation is tight. If you have a big suv it will make parking harder.

Great
- 5/5
I was FLOORED with the QUALITY of the room-size-bathroom- and a make up counter-fridge-new tv and wooden shutters. DAMN NICE. THANK YOU
- 3.5/5
It smelled like piss in the room. Like someone freshly peed in the room it was gross. Plus when it rain puddles form in the hallways
- 5/5
All was good
- 5/5
I didnt like that we had to pay for parking.
- 5/5
The only thing I wish they had was eggs and becan instead of only coffee and waffles . And no free parking
- 4/5
The breakfast was quite modest, but location and seating area was pleasant. Tables and chairs were not cleaned between uses. The pillows were not very good. I didn't think they should charge for parking, however I didn't have too since I parked on the street.
- 4/5
I was expecting a better breakfast
- 4/5
Convenient, clean, felt safe Breakfast was disappointing. Waffle good but no bagels, yogurt, etc. No half & half for coffee. Cover on bed had weird texture. No lotion in bathroom. Couch in bad condition
- 5/5
Clean rooms and close to state park, friendly staff, walking distance to restaurants and shopping
- 3.5/5
The room is clean and renovated The breakfast was not good I’m not sure wich coffee they use but did not taste good and they offer cereal and mini muffins like those really cheap ones I mean don’t count on the breakfast and you age to go between 7-9 who wakes up that early on vacations not worth waking up for it… I’m sorry but they can do better I blood $85 the night it suit cheap but one of the the cheapest around m.

This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to old town, shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. The exit is not the greatest sidewalk to high and scratches under car.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Room was clean
- 4/5
Adequate. Very limited breakfast choices. AC ok.
- 5/5
It was nice to find a great place to stay near Old Town San Diego that was reasonably priced.
- 5/5
Clean, big room! Staff very friendly and helpful!!
- 4/5
Convenient location close to restaurants and activities. Room was huge and very clean. Friendly staff.
- 2/5
The rooms allowed noise and light in through the gaps in the door. Convenient to Old Town but better options nearby. Spend the extra money and stay at another hotel nearby.
- 3/5
Easy check in and check out. All the amenities worked well.
- 5/5
The AC was colder in the early AM & that made it hard for me to sleep. As well as a hard stiff bed & it made my back hurt every night! Uncomfortable as it was I kept waking up stiff & difficult to walk around!
- 5/5
Great location and price. The water was always hot and the towels were thick and soft. The beds were very comfortable and we were allowed a late check out for a small fee.
- 5/5
Great room, great staff, great
- 2/5
It was old, but appeared clean. Very loud if neighbors left their room. The breakfast was cereal or waffle or toast. The coffee was meh but there was juice
- 5/5
Clean and very spacious room, staff were super nice. Breakfast was very basic but it's free so can't complain. There's plenty of street parking available so you don't have to pay the parking fee
- 5/5
Room was nice, big and clean. Great location in Old Town. Not a good breakfast
- 4/5

- 5/5
Clean room and very quite. The Lady at the desk the night we got there was not friendly or nice. But everything else was great.
- 5/5
My partner and I enjoyed how clean the room was when we arrived. We also liked how when we left to go out the bed was made and we would have new towels. The break fast was simple yet good and filling such as waffles, toast and coffee. The staff was very helpful and we hope to be back soon.
- 2/5
The front desk guy told us there was nothing to be concerned about after we evacuated in the freezing cold But it kept chirping and blue lights, flashing, couldn't wait to get out of there.
- 5/5
Room and staff was great
- 4/5
Great staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Close to major transit station. Only negatives were the small breakfast area and rooms not very soundproof. If weather is nice, you can eat breakfast outside. Very budget friendly also. Overall, would recommend staying here.
- 5/5
There is plenty of free parking in the neighborhood, the hotel is in a great location and they offer a hot (but basic) breakfast.
- 5/5
THE SIZE OF THE ROOM, THERE WAS NOWHERE TO HANG CLOTHES UP, POOR DESIGN. THE STAFF WE ENGAGED WITH WERE VERY HELPFUL . THE ONLY REAL COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE BREAKFAST BAR, VERY SMALL AND HAD TO SIT ON THE BALCONY OUTSIDE, JUST AS WELL IT DIDN'T RAIN. ALSO THE RANGE OF BREAKFAST WAS VERY BASIC.
- 4/5
Clean, good staff, quiet, good location
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms
- 5/5
Everything was clean. The room was spacious. Beds were comfy. The only thing could be imporved is breakfast. It was just carbs: waffles, muffins, white bread, cereal. No fruits or protein. Great hotel and location overall.
- 3/5
Clean but furniture needs replaced , hard beds . Very noisy .
- 5/5
Easy check in, clean room, close to the airport ($25 by taxi, $18 by Lyft)
- 5/5
There was complimentary breakfast. The staff was very helpful. It was a short walk to our destination an good restraunts and shops.
- 5/5
The room was clean. The staff was nice.
- 5/5
The location is unbeatable—right in Old Town, San Diego, making it easy to walk around and enjoy the area. So many great places to check out. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and the manager, Sanjay, was especially friendly and hospitable. He truly made us feel at home. We will definitely be back again. It was the perfect stay and truly enjoyable from start to finish!
- 3/5
Hotel was conveniently close to the airport and MCRD. Rooms were clean, but overall the room was damp and had a strong musty smell to it. It was also very loud with a lot of doors slamming and yelling down the halls. It worked well for us and what we needed, but definitely could’ve been a bit better.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
The balcony and the room were great.
- 4/5
Coming out of the parking garage is very steep and hit the bottom of the car hard. Breakfast didn't offer much. It was very noisy at night, we could hear doors slamming very loudly late into the night.
- 1/5
Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to go. I tried calling and no one can help me. Wanted to see if I can reschedule weather on that day did not permit me to drive and we my family we're really looking forward for this trip. But no one can help us with the rebooking. :(

While the extremely small lobby had us concerned when we were first checking in, we ended up having a wonderful time here. Spotless room, air conditioning that works great, comfy bed and everything you could ask for that close to the heart of Old Town.
- 5/5
Basic, clean affordable!!
- 5/5
Check in wasn’t the smoothest but overall stay was good
- 4/5
Super clean and updated room. Our bed was comfy!

- 5/5
The room was very spacious, clean and very simple. AC worked great. The room I stayed in was at the end of the hall on 2nd floor next to the utility room and had windows facing the street. Other rooms have windows facing the hallways where you need to keep window shutters closed for privacy. The waffle at breakfast was super fluffy and staff in all areas were very courteous, helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
This was a cute stay in a cute area for so much to do!
- 5/5
I had a lovely stay. Staff were kind, courteous and helpful. Would be happy to return!
- 5/5
Thank you for making me feel welcome!
- 4/5
Very spacious room with ice cold AC, comfy bed and mini fridge to boot! Walking distance from the action of Old Town as well as a quick walk to the trolley to get to other parts of San Diego. Check in was very accommodating as we arrived a bit before actual check in time.
- 5/5
Everything was great, especially for the price. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
The room was very nice breakfast was great the staff was amazing very family-friendly

- 4/5
This is an older property, but the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The location wasn't as close to the heart of Old Town as we had hoped, but still in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Air conditioning worked amazing!! The staff in the around 3am was so helpful when my key card wasn’t working!!
- 5/5
Very Helpful staff, clean room, close to restaurant and entertainment.
- 5/5
Was very nice I loved
- 4/5
Beds were very comfy. The breakfast options included freshly made waffles, cereal, juice, small muffins and oatmeal. Hot beverages available were tea and regular coffee. I would recommend adding fresh fruit and a protein as an option. The room was clean, AC works well. Staff at check-in and check-out were very pleasant. Old Town San Diego is within walking distance.
- 4/5
Staff were nice, friendly and accommodating. The room appeared clean, except the floor could use some attention. Breakfast was fair, given that it was continental. It would be nice if there were apples and bananas available. Parking is $15 a night, but we were able to find parking on the street.
- 5/5
AC was gr8. Very clean and quite
- 2/5
The condition of the property was rundown. Inside the bathroom the door jam appeared a repair had started but spackling never cleaned up or painted over, holes in the corner. I walked around the outside of the property and noticed wood topped fencing around the pool rotted or missing.
- 1/5
And bathroom floor reeks of urine. Food could have been more healthier. It’s embarrassing enough.
- 5/5
Maybe a little more options for breakfast
- 5/5
What a cute place! Located within a short walk to a wonderful choice of restaurants!; and a short drive to the airport. Check in staff were friendly & helpful. The room was cute, extremely clean & comfortable, and had everything I needed for my short stay. I will definitely be staying here again!
- 5/5
Very comfortable beds with spacious rooms
- 5/5
A great place to stay
- 5/5
Clean and quiet. Room was ready even though we were early.
- 4/5
Well kept older Hotel. Covered parking is well lit and staff was friendly. Breakfast is very basic. Coffee, cereal, waffles, juice, toast and a few muffins. That's it. Nothing to really complain about but if you're looking for a more premium experience, this is probably not your hotel. Additionally my motorcycle helmet was stolen from my bike within 90 minutes of my arrival. Probably some of the local homeless. My fault. I should have secured it as soon as I arrived.
- 4/5
Shops nearby, breakfast, air conditioning
- 4/5
Easy walk to Old Towne
- 5/5
The location couldn’t be better—just minutes from Old Town, downtown San Diego, and all the major attractions. It made exploring the city so easy without worrying about long drives. Parking was convenient, and I always felt safe on the property. What really stood out was the overall atmosphere: cozy, clean, and inviting. It felt like a home away from home but with the service of a quality hotel. The value for the price was unbeatable, especially compared to other options in the area. I highly recommend the Western Inn San Diego to anyone visiting the city—whether for business, a family trip, or a weekend getaway. I’ll definitely be coming back!
- 5/5
Property was in a nice quiet area. Room was super clean and the LED mirror in the bathroom was nice. Would stay again next time we come back to San Diego.
- 3/5
Hotel room was clean, the building is a bit outdated, the floors could use some repairs. We were on the second floor and heard footsteps above us late at night. Other than that the hotel was really close to Old Town attractions and the check in process was smooth.
- 2/5
The hotel is very nice from the outside but the rooms can use some updating. The beds were very comfortable, but the aesthetics is not cool. Some parts of the rooms were missing the trim, the ac made a lot of weird noises.
- 5/5
Very accommodating to the needs we had.
- 1/5
Same thing. The service was overall terrible and experiences. We're not even being it was a total lie. Plus rude people in the hotel staff go treat you wrong and take secret pictures of you in the room.I had the front desk guy admit to me via phone call that he had taken pictures of me in the room.
- 1/5
The customer service people at the front desk of the Western. Put me in a hotel room that had damage into the walls already when I got there, then they tried to say that I did the damage to the wall as a small hole. I surely did not, he said he was going to report me and charge me a fee, I didn't get my deposit back. Nor were any of the services promised to meet giving to me at all. So I would like to request a refund given that my stay was guaranteed with the protection plan and fully refundable, and this is twice in a row that happened in the same week.
- 4/5
Great value for the price
- 4/5
The breakfast was decent. Hot waffles and hot coffee. Not much room to collect or prepare one's cereal. Very cramped. Seating was outside along a narrow corridor. Only one person to prepare fresh waffles or coffee. Her service was very good and she was friendly.
- 5/5
Comfortable if you like smaller units. Definitely will stay again.
- 4/5
Breakfast was delicious. Relaxing
- 3/5
Location in Old Town is convenient, can walk to various restaurants and it is in a quiet part of town. Rooms are big and clean. The breakfast is not good, very small area with only two kinds of cereal, mini muffins and make your own waffles, they do have coffee and a juice machine.
- 5/5
The staff was very kind and helpful and made check in and check out extremely easy and efficient.
- 5/5
It is around a 10 min walk to the bus/trolley station which isn't bad. Peaceful and nice area, restaurants nearby, and also a convenient store(not so much in the vicinity) The breakfast is okay, don't expect too much, just the basic but still does the Job.
- 3/5
This location was ok, but only for just 1 night. The parking is terrible the spaces are too small and very hard to leave since the cars are so close together. I can tell they don't really sweep or wipe down in the room, especially near the bed. Furniture is very used and chipping. The beds and pillows aren't very comfortable.
- 5/5
Very clean nice staff and affordable
- 3/5
Good freeway access, comfortable beds. Could have been cleaner in the main areas, but the room itself was clean. The available breakfast was non-existent unless you want cereal.
- 3/5
My room had no place to hang clothes. I tried to call the desk using the button on the phone. It didn't work. I rarely watch TV, but when I tried to turn it on, it didn't work, I went to the desk and asked how I could fix it. I got erroneous information which did not fix the problem. Some of the work around the base of the bathroom wall was not finished. The breakfast was sub standard. The bed and the housekeeping were excellent.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing.
- 5/5
Good location and a comfortable stay.

It was very convenient being close to old town, San Diego. Bed was very comfortable!
- 4/5

- 1/5
The hotel looks nothing like the picture. It’s old and runned down. The bed is very uncomfortable. The fitted sheets don’t even fit. Very old hotel. Needs to be remodeled. Parking lot is limited and tight space. Very disappointing to stay here. Don’t do it!

Room doesn’t have central ac…so window unit was extremely loud and not really efficient, room stayed muggy. Decorative pillow smelled like urine so removed that from the bed. Front desk clerk was nice with good customer service!

Parking on the property costs extra. Updated older motel. No views. Surrounded by other gotels. Breakfast was worthless. Waffles and muffins. At least there was coffee. Good because close to old town and the airport. Not worth the price per night. Clean. Well kept. But old. At least it was linoleum rather than carpet.

everything was fantastic, except for parking. one of the exit was too bumppy and the mini van that i was driving scrape the bumpp and scratched the bottom

Great

This was a lovely place to stay. The freeway can be noisy, but other than that, it was perfect.
- 5/5
This was a good, clean, inexpensive find close to the airport. We only stayed there for 8 hours for a short sleep and the bed was comfortable. It is not fancy but well priced and convienent for our very short stay.
- 5/5
The property is just top notch. Very quite. Rooms are spacious and clea and the staff is outstanding.

Everything was beautiful & as advertised. A lot of convenience within various locations. Especially to the main location we were going to

Very nice room with patio.

Comfortable

Everything was great. Clean, quiet and walking distance from unique shopping and dining in old town San Diego. The only downside of this place is the breakfast. I’d give that 0 stars.

Room could use a little updating - filling of cracks inside the doorway floor molding, have robe hangers in bathrooms .... the mattress was probably the BEST I've slept on!!

Nice

Complimentary continental breakfast was very simple: waffle, cereal, mini- muffins and bread for toast along with coffee & juices. Close to Old Town attractions and walkable there for most people.

Nice walkable location. Clean room
- 4/5
My family and I stayed 3 nights and we enjoyed it.we were able to walk to Old Town and easy access to and from I-5. Continental breakfast has a few selections to toast, mini muffins, waffles, cereal, coffee and juice. Our room was spacious and clean. Refrigerator was a bit dirty and desk chair arm had a crack opening on it. Beds were comfortable, it says Queen sized but seems like double size beds. Maybe I'm use to my king size bed. Service was great. Overall, our stay here was great! We won't mind staying there again!

This place is basic and got the job done. It was clean. Sits next to the freeway in a crowded area. Parking was limited. The man who ran the complimentary breakfast was very nice and you could sit outside in between the buildings.

Excellent location! Clean! Friendly and very helpful staff! Manager gave us cards to use for the trolley so we wouldn’t have to buy them. Just make sure you return them so someone else can use them next 👍

I only stayed one night but my room was clean and comfortable.

We came for our son graduating from MCRD for Marine Corp bootcamp. You can walk there within 20 mins, or drive as well. Very close to Old Town San Diego. We enjoyed our stay.

Really nice little hotel just a block from shops and restaurants in Old Town. Comfortable room, easy access.
- 5/5
Clean and easy! Great location and value for the price. Large clean rooms. Loved it!

Nice place..very quiet.. rooms was very clean..bed was comfortable.. very convenient to get off and on the freeway great walking distance to old town. Only thing would have liked to have curtains in the room to block out some of the lighting but all in all it was a great place to stay would stay there again.

Awesome service

The room smelled bad. The shower sink didn’t work so the water was stuck. It was a tick on my head as soon as I get out of the room. I paid for a breakfast but they just offered bread, waffles and oatmeal. Parking is $15 per night

So walkable to dining and transit

Nice room. Clean and quiet.

Room 371 had strange smells and staff wouldn’t do anything about. Like mold smell type things

We checked in and since we booked from a third party they didnt want to give us free parking like it said when we first booked the hotel, they wanted to charge us $15 to park inside and so we sisnt want to pay more. So we had to park on the street. Good thing the entrance to the elevator was near the street where we parked. The room was ok the only thing was that they painted over there furniture they had and we kept getting it on our hands, elbows, clothing. And we werent the only one's with fresh paint i guess they did it to all the rooms but they never checked if it was dried, there were other guest with the same issues. Too bad we couldnt cancel the reservation due to being a 3rd party and we wouldn't get refunded back. They put a $200 hold on my card after i already had payed thru Hotels.com, hopefully they dont charge me anything else but i think next time will go thru the hotels website without any 3rd party's. I know you get discounts but the hotels you go to dont want to honor what you're booking. The breakfast was good homemade waffles didnt have more breakfast but cereal. Last we had someone trying to get into our room late last night it was scary good thing it was lock thru the inside. But i wont be staying at the old western inn anymore.

I stayed here to have access to the San Diego Trolley more than anything else, and while the on-site ammenities are somewhat limited, the location, value and condition make it a great place to stay. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable with great pillows. There is a small breakfast available to guests consisting of waffles, toast, muffins and juice, which is nice but a bit of fresh fruit would have made a big difference. Still, I enjoyed the easy access to both transit and the attractions at Old Town State Park, and the price was very good for the location. If you just need a place to sleep and store your stuff while adventuring around San Diego, this inn fits the bill perfectly.

The property has been upgraded. Easy check in and easy walk to Old Town San Diego. Friendly staff as well. The motel offers a lot of street parking and parking garage available.
- 5/5
The staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. There is a guest laundry room to use ($3 wash and $3 dry). The facility is older but well kept.
- 3/5
Good place for staying and quiet
- 4/5
They had a staff member making fresh waffles in the morning (for breakfast) is a nice touch
- 5/5
Close to old town
- 3/5
we found "dirty sheets", we asked for replacements sheets, and they only gave us one.
- 5/5
Good value for the money, clean, great location a few blocks from Old Town San Diego. Plenty of free parking on the street available.
- 2/5
We were on a tight schedule upon arrival, so it was disappointing to learn that our room was not ready, especially since it was already past 3:00 PM, the standard check-in time. While we waited, we noticed that several other guests—at least five or six—were checked in and given rooms before us. I asked the front desk if any room was available, even if it wasn’t the exact type I booked, but was told I would need to wait for the specific room I reserved. Unfortunately, this led to a delay of over 30 minutes before I received my room. My brother-in-law, who arrived with us, waited even longer—about an hour and a half. This delay caused us to be late for an important event we were attending, which was incredibly frustrating.
- 4/5
There was not a large variety of breakfast it was mainly waffles everyday but other than that it was a great place to stay.
