Reviews
The hotel has a great location and friendly staff, but the elevator situation is a major issue for many guests. The breakfast is decent, but some guests found it to be basic and not very varied.

Clean hotel. Decent buffet breakfast. Close to port of San Francisco
- 5/5
Ask for a room 6th floor and above. Beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge when sunny. Good coffee shop across the street, hotel coffee is weak, but breakfast was ok, don’t live on it. lol. Nice restaurants across the street too and walking distance to Fort Mason and Wharf.
- 4/5
The staff are wonderful. They are very helpful and pleasant people.
- 4/5
Breakfast was good, but they cleared it out right at 9:30am every day, so I saw a few people bummed they couldn’t get cereal or coffee or anything. The breakfast area was clean and updated but it got very crowded. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful and the room was relatively quiet. But even on the top floor, we could hear quite a bit of street noise. The views made up for it though. Overall it was a good experience. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
Nice clean room. Great location for visiting San Francisco.
- 5/5
Room view was amazing! The hotel was on the older side however the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was not great limited options however the kids loved it. The AC worked really great.
- 5/5
This is the perfect location to stay if you want to be in a safe area and close to fisherman’s wharf. They had a breakfast every morning. The staff was helpful and I felt safe walking the streets. If you do any of the hop on hop off bus adventures the pick up was literally across the street. I can’t say anything more positive about this location. I will definitely be back and tell all my friends to stay here.
- 4.5/5
Great location, you can walk to a good number of restaurants and tourist attractions. Also close to public transportation. Their garage has limited spaces but it has in/out privileges, and it is clean, safe and cheap for SF standards. If you're in higher floors, even if you're facing the city you get a nice view. Staff was super nice and friendly. Breakfast lacked options but it was OK. Room/bathroom and appliances are a bit dated, but nothing major for a short stay.
- 1/5
Stinky old couches that had dust in the corners of the cushions. Stained and smelly carpet. Poorly maintained facility in dire need of upgrade. Not worth the pricy charges.
- 5/5
It was in an excellent location, the staff were very friendly, it was a good price.

2 la segunda noche mi regadera no Dejaba de tirar agua marque y me dijeron Que no podian hacer nada , si no hasta la mañana que llegara manteniento , no dormi en toda la noche escuchando el agua caer , tengo fotos y video . Passable
- 4/5
I loved having the breakfast buffet available each morning. It was a good way to start the day of adventures. I appreciated that we were within walking distance of many attractions. The staff was very helpful if we needed anything. While this was not what I'd consider a "luxury" hotel, it was exactly what we wanted and needed. I would return to this hotel when returning to San Francisco.
- 3.5/5
Great staff, super friendly and helpful all of them. Location is great, beautiful neighbourhood at walking distance to many great restaurants. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a bathtub. Wifi worked perfectly. The beds are too soft, so if you have back issues they are not the best. Breakfast was meh, they don't have a cappuccino machine!! So you are stuck with filtered coffee + coffee mate creamer which is super sugary. They offer toasts, eggs, sausage, waffles and cereals pretty much. It would be great if it had fresh croissants or similar.
- 5/5
Room was clean, beautiful view
- 3/5
It was good, comfortable but very dated
- 5/5
Jonathan was very helpful
- 2/5
Breakfast tasted bad! Too many people at breakfast no matter what time you went. Tiny room and bathroom. Entire building was old and run down. Bed has zero support and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Disappointing stay.
- 4/5
Clean, large rooms and friendly staff. Check in was very slow…. I was there at 3.30, but was told check in was at 4.00pm and there were no rooms ready. Went for a walk and came back just before 4.00pm.. found myself in a queue of people checking in for over 12 rooms…. When I eventually got checked in, it was 5.30pm - just one poor girl on reception. (Not very happy to wait after travelling for 17 hours.. More staff needed at check in times - 2 members of staff on reception at most other times - when not needed!
- 4/5
Perfect for couples and it was clean and quiet and the breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
Staffs are so helpful and has excellent customer service particularly Terry and Jonathan.
- 4/5
Staff was great. Very kind and professional. Room was clean. I don't think putting the coffee maker in the bathroom is a good idea. Bathroom is smaller than most hotels I've stayed in and the drain needs maintenance. There was standing water in the shower while in use. Breakfast sausage was steamed, or microwaved, not browned and the eggs had condensation in them from the steam table.
- 4/5
Very clean and courteous, responsive to questions and requests
- 3/5
For short term stay no room service is provided. We pay per night then why the room service is not provided everyday? Car parking is not included.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location. Although it is an older property, it is well-maintained and clean. The breakfast was very basic, but more importantly, the hotel offers parking, which is a valuable amenity in that area. The staff was friendly, nice, and helpful throughout our stay.
- 5/5
Terry and Jonathan helped us on our check in and it went so smooth. Excellent customer service .

Bedroom was comfortable and clean, a bit out dated but ok Bathroom comfortable and staff really nice. The only con one elevator was broken for 2 days and it was a bit chaotic, but just temporarily
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Comforting and homey room.

Superb
- 5/5
The fre breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect. It's within walking distance to palace of fine arts, fishermans wharf and lombard st. The room is very nice and clean. The staff is very accommodating. The only flaw was that the elevator was out of order on our first day and after we just walked all day and up Lombard street and had to climb up 11 floors to our room. Other than that it's outstanding
- 4/5
The beds seemed a little small, they advertise queen size but they look like full size
- 5/5
Everything was amazing from the location to the friendly staff. The only thing i disliked was our room didn't have a fridge. But not a huge deal

The first night there I got very little sleep. I kept getting stuck with something that would wake me. Upon investigation in the morning I found that the mattress cover was ripped up and the fibers which felt like threads of fiberglass were poking through the sheet. I asked a houseman about it but he recommended that I speak to the front desk. Seems he didn’t want to take the responsibility…. I understood. I went to the front desk and showed them photos & I asked for a new one but hours later at 2pm I had to go to the front desk and ask again. The lady at the desk told me that I should speak to the manager. When she called her she asked her to call back in 5 minutes. So here I am on my vacation waiting in the lobby to speak to the manager which I finally did & she assured me that by 4pm it would be taken care of…. & it was. I worked in a 904 room hotel for 20 years so I know how things work & how they should work.
- 4/5
The hotel didn’t offer daily housekeeping like most regular hotels do — probably due to staffing shortages. It also doesn’t have a minibar/fridge, which could be inconvenient if you need to store medication. The property is old, but it’s fine if you’re just staying a few nights in San Francisco.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
muy buen desayuno, muy amable el personal, y tuvimos una excelente vista.
- 5/5
Clean room and very helpful staff
- 4/5
The parking was a little crazy
- 3.5/5
No aircon in the room. No refridgerator in the room. Toilet requires an exhaust fan.
- 3.5/5
Location is good. No aircon in the room. No refridgerator in the room. Toilet requires an exhaust fan.
- 3/5
It was okay, close to Fisherman’s Wharf.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the view was beautiful from the higher floor I received. The elevator was inoperable for a short time, but the staff were very helpful and had the elevator working in short order. The hotel location was perfect for accessing every area of the city. I would absolutely stay here again.
- 4/5
Everything was great but the shower water pressure could be much better
- 4/5
Good service. Included breakfast was fine. Some noise from outside traffic but nothing more than you would expect being in a busy city. Room was fine.
- 5/5
Good spot
- 1/5
Location to pier 39 was great. The hotel is very dated and in desperate need of a renovation. Bathroom was incredibly cramped for 2 adults. Bed and linens were nice. Parking was I huge negative and 1 very large reason I would not return (we only have a car and it was extremely small and no room to maneuver a vehicle. This hotel was very expensive for what we got.
- 3/5
Clean room. Breakfast average.
- 3/5
The parking situation was extremely dangerous, cramped, and frustrating. The lack of a microwave was very inconvenient. The breakfast area was also overcrowded and cramped. Furthermore, the use of non-disposable spoons and forks felt unsanitary. One staff member, in particular, treated me with extreme rudeness. The only thing I liked was the elevator. It was a place I would never want to visit again.
- 2/5
Poor management of power blip situations. There was a power blip which shut down the power supply for a 11 floor building and there was no swift action from the staffs. They did not have any alternative solution to the problem and guests had to carry their luggage from 11th floor to lobby.
- 4/5
Parking was really tight but it was doable to work with. Breakfast was great in the morning.
- 5/5
Everything was great except for need to improve quality of breakfast
- 4/5
The hotel is in an excellent location and is a very good value for the money. The rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is standard fare but tasty and in abundance. I had some issues with hot water and water pressure when I showered in the middle of the day, but that's really the only negative I had in my week long stay. I will stay there again, next time I visit San Francisco. A++++!
- 4/5
The bed sheets were stained but clean, underneath the bed was not vacuumed, the shower had black mold in the caulk, and the a/c was outdated but worked well. They do not do daily housekeeping but do tell you that upon check-in, and does save on cost.
- 2/5
Our stay was ok. The good thing it was close a lot of things my family and I were able to do. The only things I did t care do was the breakfast for sure. They need to which up the breakfast and offer more variety of food. The bathroom was really small. There was no microwave in the room to reheat outside food. Also it kind of smell in the room and wet dirty curtains.
- 5/5
buena relacion precio, calidad. volveria a hospedarme alli sin duda alguna.
- 3/5
It's a good place to check in since it's near fisherman's wharf, but with amenities, sadly i had to say don't expect too much. The room that we got is kind of small, hair dryer not working, water is always hot like very hot, barely got cold/room temp. Water. But it's not that bad, you basically get what you paid for. No small fridge or microwave in the room but there's a microwave available at the cafeteria that you can us. The only thing i really like is that breakfast is free and saves us a lot. The staffs are all nice.
- 5/5
great property & staff close to fisherman’s warf
- 3/5
Give the number of towels per guest for the amount of days staying . Stayed three nights on one set of towels per person .
- 5/5
Great location, affordable, clean rooms, great breakfast.
- 4/5
Nice location, staff were nice, breakfast were good the only problem was the shower its difficult to adjust the right temperature of the water .
- 5/5
Yes, breakfast was great and convenient. Staff is on it, as in picking up after people that don't clean up after themselves.
- 5/5
Nice location. Narrow parking
- 3/5
Just the basics. Breakfast was edible each day. This is a self serve place. Need towels, etc, you need to go to the front desk to pick up your own toiletries. Do not accept a room by the elevator unless you plan to stay up late and get up really early. When the single pane windows were not steamed up we had a lovely view. For what we spent I expected a little better service and room location. Once we checked in we were on our own. I guess what I am saying is manage your expectations. The positive is that it is a great location and central to Presidio and Fisherman’s Wharf.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful with advice where to go, breakfast was very good close to buses also
- 5/5
Breakfast is bare minimum but great location
- 3/5
Checkin process smooth and easy with a friendly receptionist. Little welcome pack was a lovely gesture. Iced water in foyer was nice. Breakfast is basic but not unexpected for the price. For Australians, it would be nice to have milk available, not just creamer, for our tea and coffee.
- 5/5
Tip: go for a view room on a high floor. You might see the Golden Gate out your window. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only difficulty I had during my stay was getting an elevator in the morning. It was all hustle and bustle and with breakfast and check-outs. I understand, but also with two elevators, I wasn’t sure why I waited so long. My next trip to SF, I’ll stay here again. A great balance of location, amenities, and price.
- 5/5
Super duper
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
I would have liked exhaust in the bathroom. Overall everything was good. Location and upkeep is great.
- 4/5
Rooms are basic but adequate and reflective of price. The area seemed safe enough and was well located to explore all major areas and attractions. Breakfast was also adequate to help prepare you for your busy day. The only thing I found strange, is that they don’t attend your room. We stayed x4 nights and no one came to make the bed or change towels. TBF they tell you this on check-in. In short, you change your own towels via reception and make your own bed - leave your rubbish outside the room door. Cost cutting I’m sure, but helps make the hotel an affordable, clean budget option.
- 4/5
The room was clean abd the AC worked great
- 3/5
The location is great, beds were comfy. Everything else wasn’t. Parking is a nightmare with a super tight garage, multiple cars were seen with damage because of the tight turns and expensive at $35/night. I got stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes and there is no stair access from the lobby. Elevators were down multiple times during my four night stay. Room was not actually ever cleaned, had to ask for extra essentials multiple times. When we asked to have our cleaned they didn’t do much other than throw away trash and place new towels.
- 5/5
Great views from the 11th floor! Room was clean and nice. Great location!
- 5/5
My family really enjoyed our stay!
- 4/5
Decent breakfast Good air conditioning
- 4/5
Proximity to ghirardelli square and good breakfast options.
- 4/5
Clean room and spacious. Good access
- 5/5
Stayed 3 nights. They helped us replace the room for free, which was a big surprise. I liked their breakfast, as well. The hotel's accessibility to the surrounding area was another option I liked about it.
- 5/5
Great view. Breakfast was good. Beds super comfortable
- 5/5
Loved my stay here! Staff was A1
- 5/5
Nice stay. Great location
- 5/5
Me gustó
- 5/5
Definitely somewhere you book for the price above all else, but we were happy enough with it! Decent breakfast, the only real negative was that one of the building’s two elevators went out during our stay but that’s nobody’s fault. Made it tricky to get up and down to the top floor. Nice view from the room as well.
- 4/5
Everything was great except for parking. The parking garage is very small and tight. Do not plan to bring a large vehicle here. Otherwise, great place for the price!
- 5/5
The free breakfast was delicious with many options!
- 3/5
Everythings okay.
- 5/5
Everything as expected - ideally breakfast could have more variety
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. Very happy with hotel
- 5/5
It was advertising on here they had a refrigerator. There were no mini fridge in our room. Our food spoiled and had to be thrown out :(
- 5/5
Friendly customer service. Room was neat and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Variety of options available. The waffles were my favorite!!
- 5/5
The front desk male employee was above and beyond and welcoming attitude loved his professionalism.
- 2/5
This place is in a very good location, however, there is a lot of people and only one elevator works. They don’t clean your room unless you stay for more than 5 nights. The breakfast is okay, not many choices. Air conditioning was good. No refrigerator in the room. The parking is very narrow.
- 5/5
Yes
- 1/5
Additionally during our stay the bathroom sink was clogged, bathroom light was out, my son took an ice cold shower in the morning, only one elevator worked, no breakfast by 815.
- 3/5
Poor breakfast, small bathroom
- 3/5
The hotel is a descent stay. I disliked the fact that there was no option take the stairs to the parking basement, we had to wait for the elevator. Also as I was waiting for the elevator on of the staff members was rude to a customer. When the customer asked about the parking she was like, did you park last night with us, then you have to pay for parking, there is no such thing as free parking in San Francisco. I think that was unnecessary to say as she could have just explained the policy without the need to be smart and arrogant about it.
- 3/5
No pool. Room could use a little updating. False advertising on there website about rooms having fridges.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly. We appreciated them holding our luggage. The room was clean but the shower does not have good water pressure. The breakfast was good but gets very busy. We would stay here again!
- 4/5
For the price, the location is perfect. Parking fee is more than reasonable compared to other hotels. The garage is private but a little tricky to drive. Breakfast buffet is a nice touch to save a few bucks on breakfast.
- 5/5
The thing is at 9:30 everything is taken away, so get there earlier!
- 3/5
Breakfast was good A/C was acceptable
- 5/5
Excellent stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and were super helpful with bag storage and check in. I would stay here again next time I'm in town.
- 4/5
Room was in good condition and clean. Parking was tight
- 5/5
The staff were amazing! They gave us great tips and tricks for exploring the city. Can’t wait to go back!
- 5/5
Staff was great. Really helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
View was nice. Bathroom very small but OK.
- 2/5
There wasn't a microwave or mini fridge in the room and the parking garage is the worst i've ever experienced.
- 5/5
Staff very very nice
- 4/5
Breakfast was limited. Room was clean. Good location
- 5/5
Staff was nice at front desk. Clean room and comfortable beds! Parking was a little tight but manageable. I would for sure stay here again 😊
- 5/5
Outstanding customer service by the team
- 5/5
Jonathan was great at check in. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good as well.
- 5/5
Great breakfast. Nice clean hotel
- 4/5
The hotel is somewhat aged, so I rated it 4 stars. Its location is just a few minutes from Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. The room, breakfast, and air conditioning were satisfactory. The staff was very helpful, with Jean at the front desk being especially warm and professional.
- 5/5
So helpful and lovely
- 5/5
We enjoyed our impromptu stay here. The staff was great! They provided recommendations for a nearby grocery that saved us from an expensive door dash at midnight. The hotel was conveniently located and very clean. Our room was clean and decently spacious. The bathroom was kinda small but it was manageable. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge was excellent! And breakfast was good, too. Our only warning is that parking is $35 per night and the garage is tight. I’m not sure a larger suv or truck would manage. It was reassuring to have secure parking though. We’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Very central to lots of great attractions and seaside
- 5/5
Convenient location for public transportation and sightseeing. A great coffee shop nearby. Staff Johnathan was very friendly and helpful. He left us a super positive impression and memory of the hotel!
- 4/5
Clean room, Great Staff, Near the water, Good coffee shops near by. Wish the room had a refrigerator. Parking is convenient but a little tight. Overall I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Yes.
- 5/5
Very convenient location within easy walking distance to Ghirardelli Square. Dry friendly staff. Bathroom is small.
- 4/5
I love the the hotel but room was very small and very hot
- 4/5
Breakfast options was great! Hot food and such.Staff was friendly. However, during my stay, I did experience the floor that I stayed was having a paint job on the walls and doors. This was unexpected without any fair warning. It was a bit difficult to breathe during that timeframe. Plus, there was a lack of amenities. Would have liked if there was a small personal fridge to store drinks or perishable food. It didn't help we had to throw out our leftover we had taken back to the hotel
- 3/5
All good just parking lot very small, the rest all good central location and safe area.
- 1/5
Parking was horrible. Parking garage does not have an elevator. Staff was extremely rude and treated me as if I was inconveniencing them. I thought it was just the lady that checked us in, but the next day staff was still rude. This must be how Comfort Inn treats their guests. Needless to say this was my first and last time staying at a Comfort Inn.
- 5/5
Great location. 10 minutes walk to Fisherman's Wharf
- 5/5
Provide a microwave
- 3/5
The location is close to alot of things. The staff were friendly enough. The breakfast was pretty good. The parking is hands down the worst part by far. You have to pay for parking each night and the parking area is the worst I've ever dealt with. Horrible!!!!!
- 5/5
Amazing staff and location. So easy to get in/out. Great rooms and really nice.
- 5/5
Front desk staff are friendly. Nice location. Property is clean.
- 1/5
There’s no mini fridge in the room so if you bring any drinks or anything cold to snack on there’s no point. The a/c did not work very well in the room. There’s no snack vending machines. The parking is so small and parking is not free or included in the saying price. You have to pay $35 per night you stay for parking. Area was nice. Walking distance from pier 39.
- 5/5
Breakfast, staff, shops nearby, room
- 1/5
Not good
- 5/5
This property is exactly as you would expect for this price range.
- 5/5
Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Cute coffee shops and breakfast areas nearby within walking distance! Not only that but gorgeous views available!!
- 5/5
Great location. The staff was very nice. Room was very clean. Bed was great & comfortable. It was quiet, so I slept like a log. Breakfast was available. It would be great if there were more fruit & healthy options.
- 5/5
Really kind staff!
- 5/5
Very good location and staff but the main entrance, breakfast room and hallways were extremely cold.
- 2/5
Photos are misleading. Despite showing newer hotel rooms in the photos, the hotel is very old. The rooms are outdated and very small. Daily room cleaning service is not provided. The location is great and the hotel is overall decently clean, but I would never have stayed there if I had seen photos of it's actual current conditions. Overall, I felt like I had stayed at a budget motel.
- 3/5
Parking is horrible, dirty washroom and bed sheets, low water pressure in tub.
- 5/5
The staffs were all very friendly and helpful. They all seemed to go out their way to assist us in any way possible. While the rooms were a bit outdated, they were clean and comfortable. We also appreciated having real bathroom doors for privacy unlike “modern” hotels with just open frosted or even glass stalls with zero privacy. The showers took a few minutes to warm up but all doable. Parking was very tight and hard to navigate due to physical space limitations (width and height) so having an SUV didn’t help. Otherwise, the location was perfect and close to many restaurants and attractions. The free breakfast was great. WiFi was fine once we knew to “log on with passcode”, something not readily apparent until we asked the front desk. We are very pleased with our stay overall!
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful except the rooms are not very soundproof.
- 5/5
Everything was nice
- 5/5
The staff were super sweet and the hotel is overall really neat. Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Amazing staff; room was spacious and clean; perfect location! We’re able to walk to Lombard Street, Ghirardelli Square. Palace of fine Arts, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Warf was also very close by. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Hotel had a good hot buffet breakfast
- 5/5
Everything was walking distance, the parking garage was very tight so be careful parking and driving down it is a one car at a time situation
- 5/5
Great location, the room was clean and the staff was very helpful.
- 4/5
OK Place - Very tight parking in garage
- 4/5
Convenient and comfortable stay
- 4/5
Air conditioning not working well had to change rooms
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, clean room and common areas, great breakfast, amazing views, pretty garden area view in the breakfast dining room
- 4/5
Parking is hard and charged 40 a night
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Great as usual
- 3/5
It's what you expect from a cheaper hotel. The 4pm check-in was not ideal however. Double bed set up is quite small as well. Some stains on bed sheets and what not. Otherwise, it looked relatively clean. Would consider other hotels next time.
- 4/5
Room was ok - furniture could use some updating
- 5/5
Comfort inn by the bay was an excellent stay ! Hotel stafff at front desk made check in easy and was helpful with getting my trip started! Breakfast was ample and eating area was clean ! Hotel in good condition and well priced for its location! Bedrooms slept quiet and ok sized ! Manager did an excellent job at this location because hotel conditions and employees are on point ! Recommend this hotel ! Great amenities and affordability
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was excellent! Great location for price
- 5/5
In a nice location, our room had a pretty view of the Golden Gate Bridge! Staff were also super nice
- 5/5
Front desk staff was wonderful.
- 4/5
Staff was very polite and very helpful. Hotel and room were clean, breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Didn’t like that they didn’t came to clean but the breakfast it was great and everyone was on front desk very helpful polite and friendly
- 5/5
The Comfort Inn at the bay is great. The staff is helpful and the location is great. The parking garage is tight but safe.
- 2/5
The staff was really friendly and were able to accommodate an early check in. The location was at a walking distance from fisherman’s wharf however, there was a cockroach in the bathroom. We were able to kill it but was afraid there were more. Didn’t see more thank god.
- 5/5
Easy check in, staff was great. Great area and easy to walk to where you need to fo

- 3/5
good room, small bath room, few options breakfast, good staff
- 3/5
Main reason is the Breakfast choice of food … Basic/sparse breakfast offers - sausage/burger, scramble eggs, fruit, cereal, cheese, bread, juices, tea /coffee, and no more.
- 4/5
Great location and decent parking price. Parking lot very tight. Good breakfast spread.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Staff very courteous, breakfast was better our second day.
- 5/5
Comfortable beds, quiet room. We had twin beds which were more like doubles. Free breakfast but best of all are the staff at this Comfort Inn. Jean (especially) and Terry made the hotel feel like home away from home for us. Great location - can walk to the sea. The room we had was older, not recently renovated but clean and just what we needed. Would 100% stay here again.
- 5/5
the location was great ! breakfast were fine !
- 4/5
Stay was good, staff was great. My room never got serviced but maybe missed a rule on that. Otherwise good stay!
- 5/5
Clean and great view
- 5/5
Stayed here for my birthday & it was just as amazing as my stay a few weeks ago! Very clean, nice bay view & the breakfast is great. I have to say- the young gentleman at the front with the curly hair has the patience of a saint. He was dealing with some very rude ladies & no matter the disrespect they showed, he gave nothing but great customer service. Props to you because i would have not! Will definitely be staying again!! <3
- 5/5
Excellent Guest Service
- 5/5
For my first time visiting San Francisco, this place was the best! My view was beautiful, the room was great, and everyone here was very helpful. I’m very grateful for Jonathan and everyone there helping us. The food options around us were great as well!
- 3/5
The bathtub cleanliness could be better.
- 4/5
Clean, welcoming front desk attendant. Provided breakfast was average. Good location.
- 5/5
Nice room. Nice staff. Perfect location close to everything
- 5/5
Our Hotel room was bit small but was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of options and location was great. Very safe walkable area and close to lots of tourist attractions. Great little deli right across street was a bonus for quick bite to eat after long day touring . Underground parking was a nice bonus as well. Would def stay again if back to San Francisco
- 4/5
Easy check in and friendly staff. Clean room with complimentary amenities. Breakfast included, parking available for additional cost.
- 5/5
All of the staff was was helpful and accommodating. The gentleman who checked us in gave us great suggestions, and Jean, who helped us check out and held our luggage, had an infectious smile! Thank you!
- 5/5
Jean was very pleasant to let us check in a little earlier.Staff is very attentive.
- 3/5
Thought parking was included, but they charged an extra $38 for parking in their tiny parking garage. Then at 9am housekeeping was pounding on the door and just let themselves in before i could answer. Check out isn’t until noon so tha was completely inappropriate and rude
- 5/5
Had an amazing stay! My group of 4 got 1 room for 1 night, parking is simple and much cheaper than surrounding hotels. There’s a lot of coffee spots and restaurants within walking distance. The free breakfast is a huge plus, it was yummy and I loved the window seating with street view. Staff was super friendly and helpful, we didn’t ask for a bay view but still lucked out and got a great view of the city! Will definitely be staying again for my birthday ! ❤️
- 5/5
Good place for a couple to stay for a few days while exploring the city
- 4/5
All in all a good value for a basic stay in San Francisco.
- 5/5
Terry and Jonathan at the from desk were incredibly welcoming and efficient, handling our check-in smoothly. They make us feel valued and ensuring a great stay in the hotel. The reason why we keep on coming back here. We always have a fantastic stay everytime we come. Rooms are neat and tidy.
- 3/5
Room was good and spacious. But the shower was too bad, it was of low pressure and it was horrible to take bath
- 3/5
Room windows were dirty and moldy behind the curtain, shower controls were broken and leaked water and bathplug didn’t raise when showing. Bed was comfortable and good location
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
I like the view.
- 5/5
Rooms were a little outdated, shower pressure was terrible, parking for $35 a night was a bit of a turn off but breakfast was amazing and customer service was top notch. Would stay again.
- 3/5
more amenities like microwave!
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast, friendly staff, good location.
- 5/5
The room was a little dated but clean. The breakfast was great and staff was friendly and very helpful.
- 2/5
The parking lot is a disaster. Impossible to navigate extremely tight spaces and not damage the car. Also no room cleaning service for 3 days.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and helpful. The entire hotel great.
- 3/5
The biggest problem was the cold temperature in the hallways, lobby and breakfast room. When we went to breakfast the room, plates and silverware were so cold the temperature of the food quickly cooled before we could eat it. As a result we went to other places for breakfast thus affecting the cost of staying here. We loved the view, but will probably not go back.
- 4/5
Overall not bad for the price comparing to other hotels in the city. Bathroom is a bit small but clean. Also pretty close to the coast and the major tourists attractions. Parking was the cheapest around the city ($35/night), however it is very small and tight.
- 5/5
Everyone was super nice and great place close to eveything walking distance
- 5/5
Room 315 very clean, clean bathroom, ac/heater works great. Parking garage is extremely tight. Best to park in the open air lot next to the garage still owned by the hotel. Excellent service from front desk.
- 5/5
Check-in was quick and easy. Room was clean and the breakfast that was offered was good. Location felt safe and clean. Easy walk to Ghirardelli and if you are up for a hike, Golden Gate Bridge.
- 5/5
Staff were great! Approached us in the parking regarding glasses found in our room which my husband was looking for.
- 5/5
The staff made our stay welcoming and positive. Jean was the best staff member we could have hoped for. She helped us with recommendations and directions. We'd come back again just for her hospitality.
- 4/5
Courteous staff
- 4/5
Room is clean and spacious, good view of Golden Gate bridge. But missing refrigerator and microwave.
- 4/5
Cleam and spacious room
- 5/5
The Hotel was very nice. They let us to check out a little bit late due to some circumstances. They also let us to use the lobby for my nephews to finish his school's thesis. Excellent service, safe, nice breakfast, clean, safe parking, close to everywhere. Loved staying in here again (I came a few times already).
- 5/5
Staff are nice, clean room
- 4/5
Breakfast was consistent and tasty. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Area was excellent and easy to walk to places we wanted to hang out in. Only downside is that the window with the stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge was always steamed up because it was rainy and no vent/fan in the bathroom.
- 3/5
Staff was great! Room and amenities were OK - a little outdated, but clean/quiet and safe.
- 3/5
Yes 👍
- 4/5
Room was spotless
- 5/5
Clean Breakfast was acceptable Comfortable beds
- 5/5
Great location, clean, and safe neighborhood.
- 4/5
But very nice area
- 5/5
Good affordable family stay. Close to wharf.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and great location.
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk was very accommodating and pleasant we had a great stay. The beds were comfortable and clean we also had a great city view, the only thing I didn't like was the cleaning lady in the morning was very loud outside our room but other than that everything else was excellent.
- 5/5
Great customer service.
- 4/5
The room is good compared to the price
- 5/5
Rooms were spacious friendly staff also great view of the bay bridge
- 4/5
Reception staff were great and very helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
- 4/5
Room was good but I was charged twice. Once by hotels.com and other again by comfort inn. Now I have to fight with them all over explaining how I was double charged and most likely going to be footballed on both sides.
- 5/5
the room and the view was great. my fiance and I slept like babies that night. would definitely recommend staying here!
- 3/5
Staff was great. Bed was comfy and clean. Room was clean but needs fresh finishings. Hot water was unreliable. HVAC worked good but it was the old clunky unit under the window that you have to trial and error to get the right temp. TV was good but remote was unintuitive. There was a channel guide but no way to see what program/movie was on. Breakfast was good.
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
Hospitality is a fundamental expectation of hotel front desk staff, and your team exceeded that expectation. After a long trip, it was refreshing to have your staff be so welcoming and warm Great location with easy access to public transportation and just a few blocks from Lombard St. the room was a bit small but everything else was great
- 5/5
The staff!
- 3/5
Average hotel, average stay. You get what you pay for here and I had no issues. Clean room and nothing fancy
- 4/5
Room is clean. Stafff are friendly.
- 4/5
Good hotel for the price. Check in was quick, room was spotless, bed was very comfy. The parking garage is small and very tight to get in and out of. But overall, nice hotel in a good location.
- 5/5
I love it!
- 5/5
Love the cleanliness, great location and staff are very friendly. Breakfast buffet is good. The gated underground parking with in and out privileges is perfect. Our car is safe. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
The staff at the resort were kind and helpful and the location is in a nice part of town that is close to several attractions in the area. i will be coming back there when i go back to san francisco
- 4/5
Clean. But no microve.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Awesome staff… very helpful. Convenient parking. Very comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Staff at desk, especially Jean, very helpful. Staff always greeted me coming and going. Room clean. Comfortable. Great location. Great price.
- 5/5
Everything is excellent!
- 4/5
Room comfortable good view, staff pleasant , no real amenities of note, specifically no microwave, no welcoming lounge area. great location.
- 5/5
Clean room, extremely helpful staff, well located
- 4/5
Friendly staff, gated parking garage, standard rooms.
- 4/5
Nice staff. Quiet room. Near good restaurants
- 3/5
I wanted to share some feedback regarding the breakfast offerings. During my 4-day stay, three of the days featured egg and sausage, and one day had egg and bacon. I found the options a bit repetitive and would love to see more variety or creative choices in the future to make breakfast more enjoyable.
- 4/5
Very good. Great location.
- 4/5
Great staff, easy walking distance to piers. Convenient.
- 4/5
Great deal, good location, public transit near. Great breakfast each day.
- 1/5
We checked out a day early and never tried the breakfast. Our room was so dirty and looked like it had never been cleaned. Black mold on the curtains and walls and stains that looked like blood on the bedding. I wouldn’t want to see how dirty the kitchen is or chance getting food poisoning from such a filthy place. Worst experience I have ever had staying anywhere. And the walls are paper thin so nobody slept at all
- 5/5
Gate Bridge awesome!
- 5/5
This was a great family stay! Staff was excellent, and truly welcoming. The location was very convenient and most importantly my bed was very comfortable. Thank you so much!
- 5/5
Very spacious, newly renovated, close to/walkable distance to restaurants, coffee shops, attractions
- 4/5
Clean Room and Decent Breakfast
- 5/5
Room clean staff nice positive place
- 5/5
Breakfast was good
- 4/5
The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the attitude of the front desk staff during check-in. Even if she was talking to her boyfriend, I don’t think it’s appropriate to be on a speaker-phone call while assisting a guest.”
- 4/5
Conveniently located, walkable near the Lombardi historical street and great proximity to north part of SFO. Basic, clean and affordable. Parking can be challenging if you drive a SUV or large vehicles.
- 5/5
Great staff and really enjoyed breakfast.
- 5/5
Good breakfast, clean room
- 4/5
Great room, free breakfast, central location.
- 2/5
No drinking water in the common area to fill our bottle. When asked the receptionist first she said she will fill it after the check ins are done but she never refilled it. Checked with her after 15-30 mins and she said to use tap water at room.
- 4/5
Great location, I can see golden gate bridge from my 3rd floor room facing Bombard St, if it is not a foggy day. One thing could be better: give a detailed instruction on how to get to parking garage for the first day. It was tricky, you just can't park your car and go into ask the reception, it is way too dangerous in the busy traffic.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Recommend staying here.
- 5/5
The room was great and had plenty of room. The staff were extremely friendly and the continental breakfast in the morning was well done and worth it. This is a great location as well.
- 4/5
Good value, nice staff
- 4/5
The room was clean but very old. The front desk staff was wonderful, very kind and able to answer all of our questions. The location was good, pretty centrally located, easy to get to many attractions
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly Staff, good breakfast, great safe location and in walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment.
- 5/5
We appreciated the location and the views
- 4/5
Convent location, ample parking, and polite staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, breakfast variety was plentiful for a comfort inn and location was near everything we needed. 5/5
- 5/5
My stay here was excellent! The grounds were well kept and clean and so was my room. Very convenient location! It's easy access to everything I wanted to do during my stay. Would definitely book here again!
- 5/5
Ideal location for getting around plenty of buses to fishersman wharf downtown and golden gate bridge etc - get a muni pass. Friendly staff, breakfast buffet great start to the day and free tea, coffee and water at reception during the day a bonus
- 2/5
I stayed in 1 room and visited another while at this facility- both rooms had stained carpeting. If you're looking for a bed and a shower then this hotel is for you. No microwave or fridge in room and no vending machines other than soda. I never use the likely unsanitary coffee makers in hotels and this one came with clearly old tea and coffee packages. The manager was very friendly upon checkout and provided very helpful tourist tips as well as having offered to store my belongings free of charge for the afternoon.
- 3/5
Outdated
- 4/5
breakfast is good
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. My only issues were minor: not being able to switch on the bathroom exhaust fans, and having to log in to the Wi-Fi constantly.
- 3/5
.
- 4/5
For the price it’s about as well as you are gonna do in San Francisco. It’s a decent no frills hotel that is still properly outfitted for a business traveler. Close to transport and a safe neighborhood.
- 3/5
Room definitely needed a better clean the sink had dirt in it easy clean.. hotel is a bit outdated, otherwise short stay was ok.
- 5/5
Great staff

- 4/5
Great area and very friendly staff. Loved the breakfast each morning. Good location from lots of San Francisco sites. Parking area was a tight fit but was manageable to park.
- 3/5
Jonathan was helpful and courteous. The breakfast area was not cleaned very well every table dirty and difficult to navigate so crowded. Parking is difficult in the garage and expensive. Not a good value and the rooms are not serviced at all during longer stays.
- 4/5
Comfortable rooms and good as a base location accommodation, and met basic needs. Paid for a good view, high room. Free complementary breakfast was a nice addition but can get crowded at certain times. Helped us start out on a busy days sightseeing. Car Parking with charges was helpful & secure, but space was tight for larger rental vehicle. Generally didn't venture out after dark on foot in San Francisco.
- 4/5
The parking facilities were secure, and the staff was quite friendly. The continental breakfast was also rather good. I only wished there had been a mini- fridge in the room.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, breakfast was a plus
- 3/5
Terrible parking. I was so scared of the parking garage and how narrow the ramps were
- 5/5
Breakfast good Room clean
- 5/5
Very clean rooms! Hotel property was well-kept! Front desk staff was phenomenal…extremely helpful!
- 5/5
The hotel and staff were very nice. We liked having the breakfast included. The location is great, with easy transportation and several dining options.
- 5/5
Pizza nearby outstanding
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and well located away from any uss
- 4/5
The male staff was very kind and friendly. The hotel’s location on Lombard Street was great — Fisherman’s Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Lombard Street were all within walking distance. I was debating between staying near Union Square or here, but choosing this place was definitely the right decision!
- 3/5
The hot water took 10 minute to reach a temperature that we could feel comfortable showering in. The tub was slow to drain so we had to shower in ankle deep water.
- 5/5
Nice size rooms, clean and great breakfast.
- 4/5
Really great location and very friendly staff. The parking situation is tight and I believe I took a 15 point turn to get into the unloading spot. The room is nice, stained carpet but otherwise good. There is NO FRIDGE! I have never stayed in a hotel room that did not have a fridge or microwave. I don’t know how I missed that. It was a big bummer and we wasted a lot of food on a long road trip.
- 4/5
The location is great for seeing most bay attractions, the staff were very friendly and helpful and rooms spacious neat and clean. Only issues were no fridge and a/c was noisy when compressor kicked in.
- 5/5
Come in
- 5/5
This hotel is a longer walk from SF tourist attractions than some, but we used Choice points at a good rate. The parking is gated and safe-- but tight for large vehicles. We did fine with our midsize SUV. We were told we could drop off luggage and park the car several hours before check in. We arrived at 1pm and it turned out the room as ready, so that was great! Fast elevators. Decent breakfast. Very friendly staff, Jean was great! The double twin room beds were comfortable. If you think a twin is too small for you, think again: These beds are much wider than normal and are extra long, long as a king. Only a little more narrow than a full size mattress. We would stay again.
- 5/5
Efficient & friendly check-in. 2 waffle machines!! What else do you need? Oh, a view of the bridge from our room!
- 4/5
Location is amazing...walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiarardelli Square, Pier 39, etc. Not a bad neighborhood. Hotel is definitely older and not updated in any way, but if you want a good value, comfortable bed and clean room, it was pretty great. Free breakfast was good with hot and cold options...could use more seating for the size of the hotel, but we just took ours up to our room. Overall, great.
- 5/5
Staff really helpful , great location
- 5/5
Walking distance to everything, clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Overall a great time
- 4/5
The hotel is in a good location, near restaurants and stores. Our room was clean and they served a good breakfast. I love that checkout is at 12pm . Downside for me was parking is charged separately $35 which i thought was pretty expensive. Also, there is no refrigerator in the room and the bed was stiff and uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Great list cation, super staff
- 4/5
The rooms are spacious but are in need of updating and brightening up. We had the King suite. Plenty of storage space, enormous bed. The bathroom was huge, but tons of wasted space in there. The shower was difficult as it's a fixed height (low) and if you're quite tall, as I am, you're having to shower crouching down. There’s space in the bathroom to put a nice big walk in shower. We had two large windows but the outsides were so dirty, they were difficult to see through. Breakfast was basic, but plentiful and a real bonus to start the day with.
- 5/5
Everything was good.
- 4/5
Liked how close it was to Ghirardelli Square. Was on the 7th floor, and sometimes only one elevator was working. Would have been nice to have an in room mini fridge. Other than that no complaints, it was quiet despite being in the city.
- 5/5
Not our usual choice but glad we stayed there. Nice staff, clean rooms and quiet. Will be back.
- 5/5
quick and easy check-in, room was clean and comfortable
- 5/5
I personally don’t do reviews
- 2/5
Dated room, not many amenities, no mini fridge (cost $30 a night to rent) or microwave. Good location by Fort Mason/Fisherman"s Warf to walk down to
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean hotel.
- 5/5
Hospitable
- 4/5
Easy access to fisherman's wharf Marina district. Nice to have breakfast offered. Parking is expensive however. Linens and bed were excellent
- 5/5
Weird smell in the hallways. Everything else was perfect.
- 5/5
Amazing place . Close to tourist interactive. Excellent parking spot . Staff friendly.
- 5/5
Helpful staff. Place is clean. Transportation is readily available. Breakfast is typical. View is eh. YMMV.
- 2/5
The room had trash under one of the beds, I paid extra for parking for large vehicles, but staff members filled up the entire parking lot and had to be asked to move their cars before I could use it, I booked two rooms and for some reason had two different prices,
- 1/5
Expedia room description Bay View $270 night, prepaid. At check in I was charged again but only $116 including $35 parking the registration clerk proudly stated. The room was on the 2nd floor at end of the hall with vending and ice machine at front door and on top of the underground parking gate. So much electrical vibration my legs couldn’t stand it. They would not give us another room while checking in white people as we begged to reassign since we drove 6hrs to SF. They denied a different room - when I asked where was the Bay view I was told none because on 2nd floor. Worst experience ever DO NOT BOOK HERE.
- 3/5
The property itself was ok but
- 4/5
The bathroom was very small. The toilet paper and towels were on the rough side. Lol. Would have been nice to have a bar or bring in our own. They have no license for alcohol. Overall it was centrally located. The breakfast was delicious.
- 4/5
After a really long drive from Washington to San Francisco vacation. The front desk Service Lady named Jean.she is a nice lady. She made us feel warm comfortable and welcome to this hotel. I need to give her a good feedback
- 3/5
Not so clean room, no refrigerator. Breakfast included but it is a small room so you need to wait until other guests finish, after them cleaning happening not soon…
- 3/5
Worse hotel parking experience I have ever had...could not get into any parking spots without maneuvering back and forth several times. Comfort Inn gives you a parking permit disclaimer for "parking at your own risk" and yes its risky!! Would not recommend any large vehicle or SUV parking inside this garage. No disability ramps from parking garage to Lobby. Bathroom space and privacy in the area is limited. Positives are comfortable beds/pillows, breakfast and location...15-minute walk to Fishermans Wharf.
- 5/5
Nice hotel close to all the places you want to go, plus a beautiful view of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.
- 4/5
Great location for us. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was clutch - filled everyone up before exploring the city. Beds were comfy. Bathroom is super small but functional. It was busy - loads of overseas visitors. All in all, I would stay there again with kids.
- 5/5
The hotel is a bit outdated, but the service is great and the breakfast is decent. Location is very good!
- 5/5
Awesome little place. Perfect for the family and I.
- 5/5
Clean Room and staff was great!! Best place to stay!! Breakfast was great!
- 4/5
Near everything we needed to get too. Nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was great. Waffles were the best !
- 2/5
Rooms are cleaned once in 3 days, bathrooms are small, old, and showers barely drip water. Parking is available but narrow pathway to drive the car, takes a lot of time to park. TVs are not smart and surprising for SF standards.
- 2/5
Parking was awful. Hotel was outdated. Water pressure was not great. Couldn't charge phones as they had no USB plug ins. We went to the store and bought boxes, but the outlets were so bad our phones chirpped all night. I really wish I had booked elsewhere
- 5/5
We had a great 2 night stay as a family. It was in an excellent location, close to the wharf. Great breakfast each morning and excellent view of the Golden Gate Bridge from our room.
- 5/5
Great location. Very nice room.
- 4/5
The property needs to be more maintained and the breakfast should have more varieties.
- 4/5
Breakfast was great
- 5/5
From check in to check out, what a wonderful experience. Excellent customer service. We asked for coffee and it wasn’t available as they were preparing breakfast. The employee offered to get a coffee from Starbucks if we didn’t want to wait. Thank you for making our stay excellent
- 5/5
Although we only spent a couple of nights at this place, we felt rested and comfortable overall. The staff was warm and welcoming, especially Jean and Lily, who put our minds at ease. Wi-fi is easy to connect to, our room is clean and cozy, and the hotel is close to good dining spots. Lombard St. is right around the corner, and if you are using rideshare it's pretty easy to get one from this location. The area is well-lit at night. It feels safe, and generally a good place to stay.
- 4/5
Great staff, great area.
- 4/5
This is my best bet for a reasonably priced family trip. Prices were good, the facilities were very clean and there was a hot breakfast for everyone. The beds
- 5/5
Very clean hotel, staff was very nice. Very close to tourist attractions. The only downside is parking the parking garage can be hard to park in for some drivers. Otherwise had a great stay!
- 5/5
Close to restaurants and transit stops, solid breakfast
- 5/5
The view from our room was amazing. The windows were dirty but the view was still unbelievable.
- 3/5
Misten een koelkast en bedden lagen lekker nadat we om een extra topper hadden gevraagd. Badkamer klein maar dat zie je in steden vaker. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Verder een uitstekende lokatie om SF te verkennen.
- 5/5
The staff is the number 1 selling point for this property. They are all terrific, friendly, and interact with you. The room was clean and comfortable. One thing to consider, parking is VERY tight, so large suv's will have a challenge parking in the underground lot.
- 5/5
The staff here are the nicest and friendliest people. The breakfast was okay, the eggs were nasty lol. I would definitely stay here again !
- 3/5
We were promised free parking when I reserved months ago. Instead, they charged $35 per day. Also, we were promised a room with a bathtub, and instead received an ADA room with a walk in shower and elevated toilet seat.

- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
The property needs a bit of a revamp, and breakfast was ok for what you are paying.
- 5/5
Great location near FW and eating options., helpful staff, excellent and popular breakfast, very nice room and facilities. Great guest parking but tight access for any large vehicle.
- 3/5
Staff is great!!
- 3/5
Walkable areas, not far from Bay Area
- 4/5
The hotel is located close enough to walk to some restaurants and local areas. Staff was nice
- 4/5
No microwave or refrig on the room. Parking was $35 a night and the car didn't even get a blanket
- 4/5
The property was very nice and extremely accommodating! We had an issue with some wet floors and maintenance came in and found a solution which I appreciated! The breakfast in the morning was pretty good and the lemon water was great! The beds were comfortable and the shower could have been better pressure wise but other than that it was great
- 5/5
My family and I stayed in a suite for 5 nights. My children aged 12 & 15 slept on the sofa bed and said it was comfortable. This is a good value for money hotel. For what you pay I was impressed with the staff friendliness, cleanliness and the fact that breakfast is included in the accomodation costs offering a decent variety. I guess what brings down the cost of the stay is that your room is serviced every 3 days. However, we were able to request fresh towels daily. We considered the hotel to be in a good location with a 10-15 minute walk to lots of restaurants and 20-25 min walk to fisherman’s wharf. Overall, a great stay and would stay here again if I returned to San Fransisco.
- 2/5
The lights in the elevator were cool. 1st room no blinds that shut. 2nd room looked like someone just slept in it 3rd room T.V. did not work and after the hike from the only parking available I didn't feel like making another trip down to the lobby to try another room.
- 5/5
Good size room and great view
- 4/5
This hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to the Pier area, Ghirardelli Chocolate and the Hyde Street Cable Car station, free breakfast was a plus (eggs and sausage every day on rotation of different types, toast, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, waffle station, and coffee/tea). The room was recently upgraded w/ TV and fridge, no microwave in room, comfortable beds, the shower head could use replacing (it didn't spray wide and only focused its low pressure spray on a 3" target, a wider spray head would have made it easier to shower) also the windows were only single pane, and in need of replacement, sound from Lombard Street carried through them even on the 10th floor. Parking on site was nice but very tight to drive any car through for $35/day. Felt safe the entire time at hotel, not in what appeared to be a bad area of SF with very little homeless people around. Overall an okay hotel with free breakfast and on site parking.

I booked and was charged for 2 queen bed room but they gave me 2 twins because no queen rooms were available. They then refused to refund the difference between the room rates.

This was our first trip to San Francisco and took a chance when booking our stay at Comfort Inn. It ended up being a great choice. It was clean and conveniently located near so many sites. We were close to Fisherman’s Warf and Ghirardelli Square and could easily walk to both. We were located on the street side of the hotel, so street traffic was a little noisy, but it was a great hotel. We would definitely stay here again if we plan another trip to San Francisco. Also, Jean at the front desk was super friendly and helpful.

My sister and I spent a whole week in San Francisco, and the hotel staff was extremely nice, and also helpful. The room was nice. I do wish they had a microwave and a refrigerator, but the beds were super comfortable. There were some small restaurants close by and coffee shops, which made it nice. Their breakfast was OK, it was nice to have a hot breakfast, I just wish there was more to choose from. If I ever come back to San Francisco, I am definitely going to be staying at this hotel. It was affordable close to everything and comfortable. It was also right down the street from Lombard Lane, which we all know how famous that is.

Not a five star by any means, however it’s a good value and within walking distance to fishermen wharf and the Marina district’s shops and restaurants.

We were told there was water 24/7 however water was not available after a certain time.

Very friendly reception desk personnel. Was able to check in early. Room was neat and tidy but stained carpet. Bed was indented so hard to get a good sleep. Bathroom was clean but tiny. If you want bay view need to pay extra otherwise you look at building next door. No view. Conveniently located for local attractions. Bus system easy to use from here. Walking distance to Ghirardelli square and short walk to Fisherman’s wharf or bus nearby. Breakfast crowded as large hotel Food was standard eggs sausages or bacon on different day, waffles cereal toast fruit. Pretty standard for free breakfast. checkout easy. Three day stay and room not touched by housekeeping but did get fresh towels when I asked for them.

The hotel itself felt a little tired and in need of an update, but it was clean and comfortable and the staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful.

The Comfort Inn was good it took care of our basic needs and it has convenient amenities like coffee shop, pizzeria, corner store, parking, and not too far from fisherman’s wharf only a ten minute ride.

We got there around 3:15 and asked if a room was ready. The woman behind the desk was very rude. While we were sitting in the lobby waiting three other people checked in with no problems. I went to the guy this time who checked us right in. He was helpful, polite and friendly unlike the first woman. The room was basic but clean. It is on a busy intersection. There was a few homeless people but nothing crazy.

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing I didn’t like was that we had to pay for parking.

Very nice stay, property very clean, well maintained, very good breakfast. I must mention we had to pay for parking, ( last time we didn't ), $35 per day. Also they don't clean your room unless you stay for more than 2 nights.
