Excellent location, good breakfast, friendly staff, room very small, but bathroom good size

The AC went out on the first day and the hotel was not able to fix it. I had to wait until the next day to change the room.

Breakfast does not have variety of options especially for vegetarians

Stayed for a week.The rooms and guest areas were clean. The staff was super friendly. Full warning the walls are thin so noise bleeds thru from the hallways and outside and the breakfast is a continental breakfast but none of that bothered me but some others may feel differently. The staff was always nice and helpful at all times even when i came back super late at night.

Size of room but to be expected for location

Room was comfortable, specious, clean and well-organized. Property was clean and well-located. Staff was polite, efficient and non-intrusive. Complimentary breakfast was a nice added bonus. I truly enjoyed my stay at this place.

Room is very tight/ small and it was a problem to find good price parking because the hotel does not offer parking

Our stay was brief. However, I left my phone charger, called about the charger and was told to call back. It was found, but NO CALL BACK when I asked to have it mailed to me. The housekeeper was new, she told me, and said she’d have to ask her manager. They never called back. Very frustrating!!

The room smelled awful. Like horrendous. I will be calling someone for a partial refund. We did NOT pay for that experience. The entire floor smelled like mold. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in in San Francisco and I will NEVER RETURN.

Convenient location, close enough to walk to/from Moscone Center. Plenty of dining options and interesting sites nearby. My king suite was well equipped for my virtual workday with huge windows (felt more like an apartment) and comfortable for sleeping. Others in my group complained of noise from outside, but my white noise app set to low was enough to drown all of that out.

Clean and safe hotel. Close to Cable Cars, street cars and BART.

The AC wasn’t working. It was an inconvenience for the workers to try and get it fixed. If we have to sleep with our windows open then at least put screens on. The area is too bc impacted. There’s no refrigerators, nor was our AC working. It was horrible!

Hinodeya ramen next t Door, Magnin Street around the corner, and Union Pizza across the street. All had excellent food!

Okay, this looked like a great hotel and we were impressed when we got there. But at 10pm the Irish pub on the first floor had the live band start. For the next four hours we listened to U2 covers and other music that I’m sure was great if you were there in person. But when your family is trying to sleep it makes for a particularly bad experience. Finally, at two in the morning the band called it quits and we thought it was over, but then the fighting broke out and the police were called. They got it handled by around 3AM though and I got three hours of sleep eventually.

This is refurbished property steps away from the Powell Street cable car turnaround and close to the 38 bus top. The queen bed was comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly large for a refurbished building. The staff were very helpful and engaging. The complementary breakfast is standard Holiday Inn fare.

The quiet and peaceful experience although it would seem loud given the location qas a nice surprise. The continental breakfast was superb and better than expected

Downtown area

The room was beautiful, it was big and comfortable. Breakfast was served early which was super convenient. The room had a coffee machine and we had free coffee available to use every day. The hotel location was great as well super convenient. The staff was very attentive and the hotel in general was super clean

I liked this property. It was super convenient for shopping, eating, and entertainment. The only thing that didnt make this an excellent star for me was parking. You had to park a bloack or so down from the property, on the 4 floor and up. Once I got into my room. I was amazed at how the layout was. It was a simple room but absolutely amazing.

Left my power cord in the fitness room and staff figured out it was mine and returned to me the next day before I knew it was gone. Great work!

Stuck between a Ramen restaurant and a bar, it's easy to NOT find it. The view from the window was of the garbage-strewn roof of a neighbouring building. It's right downtown, near the cablecar turnaround, so that's to be expected. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with this hotel. Everything else was great. The breakfast fare (included) was surprisingly varied. I'd go back for sure.

the staff was super nice and room service was always punctual. i definitely enjoyed my stay. only downside ,but not the hotels fault, was the area it’s in. between tenderloin and financial district aka downtown which isn’t the safest area. hotel locks it’s doors in the night but also keeps its guests safe with key cards to access the lobby door, the elevator, and your room. without a keycard, there is no access. the little convenience store in the lobby was in fact convenient when i didn’t want to walk to the nearby cvs. it was slightly expensive i would say though. overall though i had a satisfactory stay and the total cost was very affordable !

Excellent location at Union Square, clean and convenient. Close to Chinatown and the Ferry building.

The stay here was very nice, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Staff was nice and accommodating. The location was perfect. My daughter and I had a great time celebrating her birthday and we will definitely be going back again!

Beds were horrible - very uncomfortable and there's way too much noise in the area. They kept moving dumpsters at the building next door, which kept waking us up. Never staying there again!

Started out bad needing room with refrigerator that i booked didn't have one, got worse elevator was down after coming back from walking up them hills all day was down entire weekend which my wife got bad knee that has swollen, gotta walk up and down 4 floors for 2 days then gotta bring down 3 heavy luggage bags down at 4 in morning, breakfast and cleanings was good its ok to stay guess came at wrong time

Overall good

I only wished the rooms were bigger, not much space to walk around the bed and hardly any sunlight coming in from the small window. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and nicely appointed rooms. The staff were friendly and the included breakfast added some extra value. The only reason I didn't award 5 stars was due to the noise from the bar on Saturday night. This wasn't the hotel's fault, but it did affect my peaceful enjoyment of the room.

Small hotel. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. No parking but there is parking nearby. Irish pub downstairs plays Live band on Friday and Saturdays until 1am (very loud), but it is quiet other than that.

Very clean. The dining staff is very friendly and helpful. She makes sure that everything is well stocked and organized. There was a variety of food choices which was great.

Great location, close to shops and restaurants. The only thing wrong was the bathroom door was frosted glass which was awkward with our two teenage children sharing the room with us

I have stayed here before. It is clean and quiet and the breakfast is good. It's a good option for a day or two in the city.

No where to park, incorrect directions, rude uncaring staff, no return call, horrid place

We were not warned about the music form the bar 2 floors down. Pound thumping went on till 2-2:30am. Other than that stay was excellent

Stayed for 4 days, easy check-in, luggage storage, close to shopping and tourist attractions. Easy transportation options available. Breakfast provided a variety of options. Cleanliness and friendliness of staff top notch.

It’s outdated. The description mentioned some amenities which were not in the room. Headboards were cracked and peeled. No refrigerator in room

Front desk, cleaning staff, and the continental breakfast lady all did very well.

This property is located in an ideal area where everything is just about walking distance. You will find countless shopping, dining and more within 5 to 10 minutes away. The hotel is a bit older and could use a "makeover" but the facilities are pretty decent. I just wish the breakfast room was open later to at least 10 AM every morning.

Nice to have but expensive for the space .There are better hotels in less price nearby.

I loved the room. Bed clean and comfortable. Loved Dove products. Front desk very helpful. Breakfast was great-simple scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, various breads, juices and fruits. Kids loved the pancake machine..

Very good room. Excellent staff. Easy breakfast. Good public transport options. Only downside was the proximity to the increasing numbers of homeless in the city which was a reminder that something needs to be done to look after the most vulnerable rather than minimising tax for the wealthy.

Thought the hotel had a refrigerator and microwave in room but did not and for how expensive it is thats just nonsense

very loud from outside. It has a city location, yes, but single pane windows that don't fully close and there is lotsa garbage and whatnot noise between Midnight and 5am

I asked to change credit cards and they scanned my new card and now i have two charges and two different prices.

I like the buffet and all the breakfast choices, however, it was too noisy and could not sleep. Also, the parking situation was very inconvenient. I called and even talked to a person and they assured me they had oarkubg but failed to say they charge $65 per night! Ended up having to park in a parking garage and felt unsafe.

Location is great and the price was great as well. When we first opened the door to the room, it had a horrible moldy smokey odor to it. The window only open 1/8 of the way.

Fantastic stay!

From the moment I walked in,Nick greeted me with so much politeness and welcoming and that to me is #1. Location is great! Walkable to all major attractions in and around downtown SF/Union Square. One thing I disapproved was the blinds in my room wouldn’t close all the way, that’s about it really.

Nice location, but even though the staff are super friendly they don’t know anything about the city. We booked a room with fridge and we did not have it… later on they could arrange a fridge and put to us. Breakfast is SUPER bad. Any kind of cheese and all plastic packaging as well cutlery. Window almost impossible to open and room really warm. No air conditioning as well. Besides of the location, that indeed is a plus plus, nothing really positive to say/

Noisy, difficult to sleep tight

Not impressed and would never book at this hotel again. My fiancé and I requested a city view and a mini fridge. Walked into our room and we got a view of an alley/brick wall and no fridge. Thankfully, they switched us to a better room. We had to remind the front desk every morning to clean our room because we would come back around 6pm to find it unclean. We were then told that since there is a shortage of staff, they cannot clean it every day when we paid for it to be cleaned every day. The hotel staff couldn’t tell us anything about things to do in the area or the service of the cable cars. Would recommend another hotel that cleans every day and knows about the area.

Great location. Staff was very nice. Clean and modern on the inside. Only issue was that the breakfast room was small compared to the guests that wanted to use it - needed to be 2x bigger as there were people waiting to get in.

Breakfast is on the second floor. It had your standard cold cereal and juices coffee dry breads. This particular breakfast came with a Mexican style omelette scrambled eggs bacon and I believe some kind of Turkey patty. All of the eggs bacon and Turkey Patty were pretty disgusting. Probably the worst I've had at any hotel. There were no pancakes or waffle makers. Breakfast was a big let down.

Original room wasn't cooling properly so we got downgraded to a smaller room. Extremely noisy being right on a main street with people shouting and loud music. Horribly uncomfortable mattress! No mini fridge. One of the worst motels we've stayed.

The hotel itself was fine, but the location was difficult to find, and the parking situation was downright awful. We couldn't figure it out, and had to go with extraordinarily expensive valet parking that cost almost as much as the room did. The area is also noisy at night, and suffers from loud garbage trucks coming through, and other issues.

The Good: -Two Queen beds in the room was a major plus (lots of doubles at most places) -Large bathroom with a tub, very nice -Continental breakfast was very good, plenty of choices available -Staff we’re very friendly and helpful -Location was great, only 1 block from union square. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby The Bad: -NOISY!!!!! There is an Irish pub next door that was incredibly loud. There was live music until late at night on the weekend, and it was super loud. -Strange smell in the entire place, I think it was the cleaning products they were using. Overall, I would not return to this hotel for future holidays.

Property was clean and staff was friendly. Property did not clean our room during our stay and one morning breakfast was not served because an employee took the key home.

Staff was kind and location was good but so hard to sleep! Our room was on top of a bar with live music so if you have kids or looking for a good nights sleep maybe another area of the hotel or area altogether would be best. We understand it’s downtown so we didn’t say anything but the room vibrated until 1 am and a lot of drunk people outside our window screaming. Rooms are very tiny as well but California prices so just a heads up :) other than that lovely stay.

This was a lovely property, convenient location, friendly staff and fit my needs to a T. I went to the Warriors game and was looking for a hotel with a fair price and clean - it exceeded my expectations and I'll stay again!

The location is good and the hotel is clean but difficult to find parking and have to use their valet for $55 plus tax. Also there is no microwave available in the room or at the hotel dining area

It's safe around union square but do not head away into tenderloin district. Best value for the area with breakfast included.

Clean and modern rooms for the price in the area

No parking is the only major negative. I think it costed an extra $50 or so to get parking, but it was arranged by the hotel staff and was easy,

This hotel is very convenient and nice. Staff was friendly and then complimentary food was not too bad. The only issue I had was parking. It’s the city so I knew parking would not be the easiest thing to find.

Location was central for what we wanted. Walking distance to many attractions & convenient to public transit options. The free breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. We only spent time in our rooms to sleep; bed was comfy & the room had everything we needed. Would stay here again.
