Hampton Inn San Jose Cherry Ave

I was in San Jose for a Graduation and stayed there for two nights and as usual the staff made me feel at home I slept comfortably and the free breakfast is always good for my schedule. Thank you Cookie and Maria

I was greeted by friendly staff. They answered my various questions graciously. The room was clean, the bed/mattress was very comfortable, I was able to work a bit at the desk, TV worked, good quality bath gel smelled nice and I was glad to see it in larger containers instead of little disposal bottles, plenty of towels and pillows. The view was of the parking lot. But I did get a good amount of sky, so that was nice.

A convenient and moderately expensive location to stay in San Jose. Good breakfast.

I/We Always Stay A Hampton Inn. Haven't Had A Bad Experience Yet, At Any Hampton Inn Across California. I Recommend To Anyone. Prices At Fair. Free Breakfast (Not Just Muffins & Granola Bar) Staff Is Very Attentive And Attending.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Housekeeping is every other day which was fine with us. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good but not everyone can eat cheese which they had cheese omelettes 4 of the 5 days we were there.

Negatives: The water pressure in the shower is dreadful (too bad - it's a nice looking shower); it would be helpful if the front desk staff could provide information about local restaurants and cafes that are open late.

It’s attached to a shopping center so there is ample parking. Close to a major freeway for easy access. Plus it’s pet friendly for an extra fee.

Have stayed here a few times and never any issues. Unfortunately, this time, we got a bad mattress with a hole in the middle. Our schedule was so tight, we didn’t say anything because we wouldn’t have had time to pack up and change rooms- if offered. Check your mattress before you settle in. Otherwise, it’s quiet, clean, staff is great and location is good and plenty of parking.

1. The Internet at the hotel was not at all good. It was down several times. If makes the hotel not ver useful for the people who are University visitors and who works with the internet all the time. 2. The laundry at the hotel does not work properly. After several attempts to start the machine we had to give up. We had to go to a public laundry nearby.

Hotel was conveniently located. The entire hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was simple, but had every thing we needed. Coffee and tea was available 24/7, we loved that. My only suggestion would be that they change sheets every other day.

It was nice. The staff was pleasant. Room was hot and I thought the control panel was blocked but it was actually on the wall, so that was my fault for not noticing that sooner but the bed was not comfortable. I left with back pain I didn’t come with and didn’t sleep well the entire stay.

Cigarette buds everywhere around the property. Food is okay. Room is okay. For Silicon Valley, not what I would expect.

Guy at the front desk asked cookie if he could go to another room not not booked and take the lights I was missing from there. So he did and all good. The next morning I was relaxing on the couch and at 930ish the cleaning lady just opened the door and came into the room and saw me and turned around and walked out. I had the door hanger on the outside door knob stating “I’m still enjoying the room” ( or something like that ) so I was still there. Good thing I wasn’t getting dressed or worse. I went to tell the lady at the front desk and she said sorry to me but “the cleaning Lady’s don’t understand English too well)..

We got a wheel chair room with a bathroom that would not work for us. We didn't need the wheel chair room. The front desk provided terrible service. The woman said there were other rooms available but wouldn't switch rooms for us. It was my fault for booking that room. Terrible stay and service.

I went to check in at 10:00pm and they told me they didn't have any rooms available, even though I prepaid and my card was already charged! Completely outrageous and unacceptable! I even called a couple hours before then to verify what their latest check in time was which they told me 2:00 a.m. so they should have told me at that time that they had no more rooms!

There was some sort of gathering at the hotel because there was loud music playing and a lot of groups of people walking around making a lot of noise late into the night, past 10pm. I also noticed that they were handing out little bags to people early in the morning. It is not fair to customers who were not part of the event to deal with a sleepless night, because the hotel caters to large events.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Convenient location with several shops and restaurants nearby. Complimentary cookies in the afternoon was a nice touch. There was a false fire alarm that went off in the middle of the night during our stay but the staff apologized and compensated us with $50 off our room charge. We’ll stay here again the next time we’re in the area.

Clean room and friendly staff.

We were not given the accessible room we reserved and paid for. The desk clerk checking us in told us it was given to someone else in spite of it being reserved. Desk clerk was not helpful, tried to say that we were called to verify that an accessible room was necessary. When i said i never received a call and asked when they tried to call, she dropped it and wouldn't answer my question. We were told there was nothing to be done, no discount, only Hilton points could be given.

Everything you'd need is within a short walking distance. A gazillion restaurants, groceries, shopping. And a huge mall is a longer walk or extremely short drive. The property is clean and nice and the fitness center is great. I'll come back for sure.

Clean room helpful staff

The fire alarm went off at 2:52am!!! No one announced that everything was okay OR to leave the building. Needless to say we didn’t sleep much and now I have a 3 hour drive.

Repeat visitor to this property each time I’m in town. Management is super friendly and aiming to please. Earnest went above and beyond when I discovered an error I had made with my booking. He took ownership to find a solution. Thank you Earnest!

Room was great was very clean and pleasant. Just very unruly children upstairs and also during breakfast in the breakfast area. This wasn't the hotel's fault, due to large group I had to wait 15 minutes for food to be brought out as the chafing dishes were empty. Also had to eat in my room. Great receptionist staff. Love the easy close parking. Would consider staying there again.

Location was great. Breakfast was good. Front desk accomodated 2 rooms close to each other. Cookies and water was an extra treat. Would return again next time!

The room was clean but there were stains on the carpet. The staff were cheerful and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. They had a a good selection. There was many shopping and eating options close by.

I would caution against leaving valuables in your car and recommend avoiding late-night arrivals. The staff seemed tired, and the main attendant was not very professional—she neither greeted me warmly nor made me feel welcome. The property is tucked behind a larger complex, which adds to the sense of being out of the way. Overall, I would not choose this as a first option.

All was excellent - comfortable and safe. Only one complaint was that breakfast area wasn’t very clean and chose to eat out at the Panera bread opposite as food not very appetising with litter on the floor and bins overflowing. Other than that, all really good and would definitely stay here again.

Customer service was everything. Loved the clean room and yummy breakfast. Front desk was so helpful. Very convenient from the Levi stadium. Will book again when I come back to Santa Clara.

Started our circular road trip here with a one night stay and it was so good we are finishing our trip back here for 3 nights. It’s so convenient, staff are lovely and helpful and the room and beds so comfortable.

Elevator was down and there were too many people to only have one working elevator. It was a nightmare. Had to use stairs all weekend

It’s in a beautiful neighborhood and you can walk around the property. They are pet friendly with plenty of areas to walk your dog. There is an exercise room and a water station area. The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.

No pool but a nice small gym. Many parks and hiking areas within a short drive. Tons of amenities in the vicinity and easy access to major roads.

Had a lovely stay here for business. Many casual dining spots within walking distance. Hotel was clean and spacious. Modern bathroom. Only complaint was a very noisy fan in the room.

Nice property for the price point and it was located ideally for our trip. Apparently there has been only one working elevator at the property for some time and it was at times inconvenient to have long waits to access our fourth-floor room. I would warn future users that the construction across the street from the hotel is to my understanding a future "unhoused" encampment.

The only issues were that in the room they only provided decaf options for coffee and then there was construction outside my window that started a bit earlier then I needed to be up and that woke me up.

wouldn't let my 20 year old son and family including his 18 month daughter check in because he was 20 years old, even though he had stayed there over 6 times in past year. told him he needed to be 21.

Good customer service. Simple check-in and selection of room, especially for stays with pets. We were placed in a room right by the exit. Only issue- the room wasn't super clean. The dresser drawer handles were sticky and there was mystery food chunks left behind. Our dog found and ate one. We let the counter know and they quickly sent someone to clean. Just wish the room was cleaned properly.

They charged me $14.22, saying that I purchased something from their market. I was traveling alone, and purchased nothing from their market. I spoke to the manager Patricia who said she was going to "review the footage". I told her fine, because I only went to the counter once, which was for my check in. She said she would email me within 30-40 minutes. Nothing. Called them back today. Went to voicemail. Disputed the charge on my credit card. My next stop is every possible review platform, as well as Hilton corporate. I've never been treated like this at a Hilton or Hampton, which I have always liked. Avoid this place at all costs.

The rooms were not clean, we had some rashes after the stay. Possible some bed bugs..The air conditions were outdated, very noised that we can not sleep. Property was in a good location, if I were owner I would change all air conditions and make sure the beds are clean。

The a/c in the room off or on heat or cool was extremely loud a horrible noise was coming from it like I said off or on nothing could stop the noise!

Sleeping here was horrible. The king room I booked was not what I got. and the room they gave me was on the 1st floor and the ac unit sounded like a freight train. absolutely horrible. woke up more than 5 times because of it and now I am highly pissed. I wish I could add an audio clip of the recording I took of this loud ac unit.

It qas the worst stay ever - i waited for 2 hours to get my room and has my 95 year old mother with me - the service person was rude and did not offer another room when we checked in. All they ssid is room is not ready - i got there at 3 and didnt get my room till after 5

Besides a homeless guy high on fentanyl outside as I pulled in, the Hampton inn we perfect. I really like the fact that it is located right next to a bass pro shot. I will be staying there again.

My only complaint again is the lack of water pressure in the shower. It's impossible to get the shampoo out of my hair with the amount of water coming from the shower head. I get you're conserving water, but more water comes out of the sink faucet than the shower.

Nice clean room, great pillows. Staff told me they'd been open just six years, so it's no surprise that it still feels fresh. A few convenience/food items are available 24 hrs next to front desk.TV selection was somewhat limited in the "Live TV" section, although it had other selections, such as free SiriusXM, PlutoTV, etc. Air system was responsive and not too loud. But, I had to change rooms after the first night because the air system in that room was so noisy. Staff told me they're in the process of replacing all of them.

This hotel is located in a great location close to restaurants and shopping.
