Reviews
The Hayes Mansion is a beautiful and historic property with updated, comfortable rooms. Guests generally enjoy the cleanliness, comfort, and quietness of the rooms, as well as the lovely grounds and pool area. However, some guests have experienced issues with noise, unhelpful staff, and parking. Additionally, some guests have found the property to be overpriced for the amenities and service provided.

Great experience! Beautiful grounds and very friendly and helpful staff. Booked this for my mother who was attending a graduation she loved staying here and enjoyed exploring the historical features of the main house.
- 4/5
Beautiful and quiet place in the middle of the neighborhood. Unique old mansion campus nice place to relax. Did not see too many staff around except the receptionists. Self manage like your own home, walk around the park inside the campus and enjoy the quite and stillness of the property surrounding by regular homes.
- 3/5
The room was large but oddly laid out and sparsely furnished for the size. The lighting was dim with no option to brighten.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay at Hayes Mansion. The property is beautiful, with historic charm, well-maintained grounds, and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A unique and relaxing experience that stands out from typical hotels. I would definitely stay here again when visiting San Jose.
- 5/5
Historic Mansion was well preserved and restored! The pool lounge chairs were few in number (3); the one we looked at was missing screws and bolts that are required to safety sit in the chair.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Restaurant food was disappointing.
- 5/5
beautiful historic hotel wonderful accommodations

Breakfast was delicious and the pool is heated. The room was nice and modern as well. Would definitely return

We loved the history of the mansion and the grounds. However, the staff didn't seem to be able to handle all of the guests and events happening at the same time very well. There was a wedding party at night that was so loud that my friend had to move her room after being told by staff that it would be over at 10 pm (when we got back to the hotel) then changed it to 11 pm but it was still very loud. While most of the staff was nice and helpful, the breakfast crew and setup was extremely disappointing. We only stayed one night and went to get coffee at the restaurant at 9 am and found a continental breakfast which was surprising because the website indicated a $15 charge. When we asked the staff for the price, they said it depended on our package. Okay that's fair. We tried to find a bagel, croissant or toast and there was nothing but a few scraps. We asked the staff if they would replenish them and they said "sure" then walked away and never replenished or returned. Also, the parking had alot to be desired because of the two weddings that day that were filled up with guests and caterers. We will stay somewhere else next visit.

We only stayed here 1 night, but it was a very comfortable stay. Very nice and quiet with large, comfortable rooms. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool. It was small but quiet. Did not try the restaurant but appreciated the small touches such as filtered water machines in hallway. Would stay there again!

Loved it
- 5/5
Hayes Mansion was a lovely stay. The property has beautiful grounds, the room was nice and it was easy access to everything local in San Jose
- 2/5
The property itself is nice. However I am unclear as to why my room was placed right behind a big reception hall that was so loud I finally asked to be moved. The staff gave varying information about when the event was done. I then was moved to a queen when I reserved a King. No partial refund yet. As for the breakfast what a disaster. The waiter didn’t know if we had to pay and was visibly annoyed when I asked for a croissant. The food was picked over and the area was messy and dirty. We informed the waiter we would leave. Also it’s lame you are charged for internet.
- 3/5
It would’ve been nice but had a microwave
- 3/5
Our room was way too dark. Hat to put on make up in the bed area when someone else is showering.
- 5/5
Would have liked to see longer hours for breakfast and restaurant menu expanded.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Very nice place. Polite staff. I would’ve given five stars if somebody didn’t add a bogus charge for two waters that I had no intention of consuming at $7.50 each. Fortunately, the hotel remedied it. I just don’t appreciate that I had to review my charges and then take initiative. I can’t imagine this is the first time it happened.

- 5/5
Nice breakfast room. A/C did not work
- 4/5
Nice quiet, comfortable and romantic. The food at the restaurant leaves things to be desired and is hardly worth the cost. I suggest eating dinner elsewhere

Beautiful property, helpful staff, and lovely grounds. We ate breakfast in the restaurant, and food was excellent and service was perfect. The only issue we had was the lack of lighting in the room. Next visit I will bring a flat, portable lamp! They are aware of the issue. At checkout we were told that is the number one complaint. We will be returning.
- 4/5
Beautiful grounds and good stay overall but we're put in a room by the main event space and it was packed and booked all weekend so had to find our way through catering equipment to access the door to our hallway and dealt with the noise both nights.
- 5/5
This was by far one of the best hotel experiences I have had. Brought my wife and kids, and the staff were very friendly. We went for a hockey tournament and a bunch of the families stayed. They were all very nice to the kids and will gladly stay here again.

I love that the Hayes mansion is so close to everything you need to get to in the Bay Area. The breakfast is delicious and the pool is very enjoyable. Perfect for laying out in the sun. Stuff is delightful, and I love the history behind this mansion!
- 3.5/5
I like the surroundings, the fact that its close to a park but I didnt like how its right center to some residential neighborhoods. The hotel itself is on lovely grounds but the rooms are dark and space was taken up by plug in air purifiers/ac which I wish I knew about first hand. The breakfast is basic and could have been skipped. I was hoping for a more remote location, away from everything and I felt smack in the middle of the suburbs. This is clearly a hotel used more for wedding venues.

CLEAN. BEAUTIFUL. GORGEOUS.

Always enjoy staying here, it is a beautiful place to stay and relax. Good food at the restaurant.
- 3/5
We arrived at 10pm and it had rained first time guests here and front desk lady hands us a map. We had no clue where to start. They should have a person or security take people to the rooms since property is big, poorly lit outside and building markings not clear. I booked a king bed room and I was checked into a queen bed smaller room than I booked but once I called the management ended up giving me credit when we were checking out I am yet to confirm this credit. Staff were nice and polite Dave mainatance staff helped us find our room as we wondered lost in the dark on the first night. Next day we got list but a staff member from the kitchen took walked us to the breakfast place. Breakfast is just ok. I think having stayed in awesome hotels in the past for the amount of money this place charges its not worth it. Its a regular place to lay your head. Nothing fancy. If you are exhausted you can get easily frustrated. We asked for microwave and towels about 830pm we dint get anything until 1130pm we had already gone to bed. They are under staffed so they will not pick up the phone. I think overall this is a 3 star hotel. Other hotels maybe better. Their gym is excellent I got to work out so this was a highlight. But thats about it. The room is super cold no way to adjust temp. Blanket super thin.
- 4/5
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hayes Mansion. The room was nice and cool, and the pool was a highlight! We especially loved all the winding, wide hallways, alcoves, seating areas, game room, verandas, and exploring the grounds. It has a very majestic and whimsical feel to it, and we will definitely be back for another stay.

Nice, quiet, peaceful property.

Quiet, good restaurant
- 4/5
Cheerful, clean, quiet rooms. Check-in clerk could have been friendlier. She was much friendlier to the person who checked in right before me. Housekeeping staff, on the other hand, was super nice and accommodating!! They should be commended!! I asked for a couple of extra towels, and she brought them immediately. She was cheerful and very nice!

- 5/5
Cool old architecture and history. There must be some good ghost stories
- 4/5
Every thing was very nice. My only concern is that they charge everything to your room. Including any food from the restaurant. Was a little put off that they take no cash. Be prepared for that
- 5/5
Awesome place! I would go back again!
- 5/5
This was just what I was looking for.
- 5/5
The buffet staff was also amazing, always checking in to make sure we were okay or if we needed anything—that’s excellent customer service. The hotel itself is very clean, and a huge plus is that the AC actually works (which we definitely appreciated coming from Alaska—California heat is no joke!). Overall, we’re very grateful for the staff, the cleanliness, and the great experience.
- 3.5/5
It was unique Restaurant stove/hood was not operating so had to leave for dinner.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Arrived late right a restaurant closing time, they accommodated us and we were able to get a togo meal. Definitely starts a stay with a smile. After a great night's sleep had a good breakfast and walked the grounds. Nothing disappointing. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
I love the hotel but it would be nice if they had complimentary coffee for guests. Thank you.
- 5/5
Beautiful propert and everything was perfect as usual. I always stay here if I need to book a room in SJ.
- 5/5
Definitely
- 5/5
We had an amazing time, first time staying here. Everything was so beautiful and our room was so beautiful and the shower was stunning. The restaurant on site was delicious for dinner and we ran out of time for breakfast and the pool. A really pretty park close by that was safe to go for a walk and plenty of parking
- 5/5

- 5/5
Wonderful, quiet mansion, close, but feels far away from the bustle. Extremely attentive staff, most high end i have seen with my small handful of experiences across the country.
- 5/5
Very clean, staff great, amenities great we love this place
- 5/5
Tamara at the front desk was excellent during our stay at this beautiful and historic hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and nice and the hotel grounds were very beautiful. Love that it is a pet friendly hotel and live the mix between old and new .
- 5/5
Beautiful old hotel with modern upgrades
- 5/5
Great location and great staff
- 3/5
The decor is dated and there were no extras that I would have expected at a Hilton affiliated property ie robes, glassware in the room and extra blankets. The drinking cups where disposable. . It is a historical building which may account for the decor but it was no what I was hoping for when I booked it.
- 5/5
Very nice staff, room was clean with comfy beds. Look for the history wall near the restaurant, fascinating
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
Hotel did nothing to accomodate the fact that my wife is in the hospital and I tried to cancel my booking a week in advance.
- 2/5
Also the food was good
- 5/5
Thanks amazing property.
- 4/5
This place was nice. Would like to book again, good location.
- 5/5
Nice hotel room, great entrance hallway
- 2/5
stay again as we won’t ever know
- 5/5
Beautiful property with a rich history. The rooms are nicely renovated and smart tv was a plus.
- 5/5
Yes great experience
- 3/5
Very modern rooms and great ambience. But breakfast was on the pricey side.
- 5/5
Beautiful palace like property and bigger rooms and comfortable beds. We will definitely choose this Hilton again.
- 5/5
Goof air conditioning. Hot tub was hot pool was heated to 74 degrees. Clean room.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Very cute & quiet with comfortable rooms. Not a good breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful! The grounds are lovely and the room decor is exceptional. We loved our stay and will definitely return.
- 2/5
According to hotel staff, the room that I booked doesn't exist. They said you guys dont update your app. They tried to move me to a different room but it kept getting worse and worse. They said the problem is with Hotels.com and not them. Please update the app!
- 5/5
Also it’s never easy finding your room, I met the nicest man that worked there that helped me and my toddler find our room. I was hoping I didn’t make him late to check in for work. He was so kind! Thank you!
- 5/5
reception is very good, we are so happy
- 4/5
Room was okay, needs clearer signage so you know how to get in building
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the reception area was amazing.
- 5/5
Cool place, high quality
- 2/5
the hotel is good overall, but we couldn’t find any water at the reception—only soda for sale. The water dispenser was empty, and there was no water in the room either
- 3/5
Room was nice, staff was courteous. Area was nice, the air conditioning in the room was not great. It was warm in the room in which we stayed.
- 3/5
The room was in great condition but the HVAC system (heater?) is so loud in the 3 story building it kept me awake a lot.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel and grounds. Room was clean and very comfortable.
- 3/5
I was so excited but her service was unaccommodating and cold. I was so bummed out. They placed us in a nearby building facing the parking lot. Didn't offer any upgrades and didn't go into detail about the amenities like the other receptionist.
- 3/5
The A/C was hot and cold even though I set it to heat. The elevator was broken so I had to lug my luggage down two flights of stairs. The maids were rude and unfriendly. They closed housekeeping not 24 hours. I would try to avoid this hotel in the future.
- 5/5
Excellent experience…Everytime I stay in the bay!!
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Nice design
- 5/5
This is a 120 year old property, but other than the architecture, you would never know it. The woodwork is perfect in the common areas and rooms. The room was spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great. I highly recommend this place for the descerning traveler.
- 3/5
Staff were great, room was nice. Issue was my room was in an area by the laundry and there are belts on the machines that squeak and did so all night as well as bins coming and going.
- 4/5
Beautiful property, with clean rooms and excellent staff. Highly recommended.
- 1/5
The staff were so incredibly rude. Our room was not ready on time and the staff were rude about that.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and always comfortable rooms.
- 3/5
I was expecting more as a Curio collection. Everything was normal, but nothing beyond expectation.
- 4/5
REALLY COOL TIME CAPSULE
- 3/5
For what you pay here , you'd think the people at the front desk woukd welcome you and tell you how to get around the mansion as its like a maze. When I checked out they didn't ask how my stay was. Also the room I was in was VERY noisy because there was some kind of frat party right below in courtyard area , next to pool with tons of people yelling and drinking until 2am , You have to pay every night to park and there is a very limited and small menu for dinner. I've stayed at other places with the same rating , but surpassed this place in many areas , including friendliness of staff. The grounds are lovely , the room was pretty and there was one very nice woman who did work in the restaurant during breakfast . This hotel needs more people like her especially at their front desk , the place that makes the first impression.
- 5/5
Hotel and room was nice I enjoyed viewing the details on every antique touches that have remained.
- 4/5
I liked the ambiance of the hotel. It had an historical feel with clean rooms.
- 3/5
Not a good experience
- 4/5
Was not informed of other events happening at the hotel the entire time we were there. We were unable to use the one firepit they had because it was occupied by the wedding guests. 3 out of our 4 nights. The hot tub was just warm. Could use more seating areas with fire pits and should inform guests that the whole outside sitting area will be occupied by a wedding the whole time.
- 4/5
Grounds were beautiful. Room was small.
- 5/5
I can’t say enough, the stay was fantastic, a few things could be better, but for cost and location, would stay again Forsure! Fantastic property! Trip was to quick to enjoy the restaurant.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
Overall stay was fine. Nothing exceptional. Tried to check in early, but the room was not ready. (I had arranged the night before for it be ready but alas, that was not the case.) No bathrobes in the bathroom so I called front desk, they only brought up towels.
- 2/5
The room was nice but you could tell it had only been surface cleaned- hard water spots in the shower other surfaces had minor stains. The mattress was quite possibly the most uncomfortable I’ve slept on since summer camp 25 years ago. Ordered in-room dining and half of my order didn’t arrive and what I did get was cold. The front desk needed permission to remove the charges. I would not stay here again
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Lots of great amenities on site. Beautiful property
- 4/5
The place was clean, quiet and comfortable. Was therefore a funeral so didn’t get a chance to taste any of the food. But the place was pretty and felt safe. Parking is $20 additionally Definitely one of the cleanest quietest safest places in San Jose to stay I’ve lived in San Jose in Santa Clara for years and then I moved away so coming back this was a nice place to stay
- 4/5
Stayed for my daughter’s wedding. It was wonderful. Great service
- 5/5
Very pretty property.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable room with everything we needed. Fun place to stay!
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, especially at check in. The king studio was gorgeous and immaculate, with a wonderful design and attention to detail. The restaurant is very good and so convenient. The lobby is magnificent in its period detailing.
- 5/5
So nice, clean, and safe.
- 5/5
Very peaceful place to unwind and relax .
- 2/5
Checking in with no easy access if you’ve got heavy bags or mobility issues. Understaffed, so don’t expect help. Enjoy the 20-minute wait at the front desk for a water or snacks. This staff can’t multitask. They’ve got a massive parking lot, yet still charge you for it. That’s not hospitality—that’s cheap. The whole place had a spooky vibe, like The Shining, but creepier. My room was in an awkward and inconvenient location. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re auditioning for a horror movie.
- 5/5
I’ve been to lots of hotels, this one is by far one of the most gorgeous hotels I’ve stayed. The breakfast was AMAZING !!, Pool? absolutely fabulous !
- 5/5
Loved all the nooks and crannies of the main hotel and all of the history of the space. Such a beautiful facility. All of the staff were friendly and the food is great! The pool and workout facilities are great. Very clean inside and out. Worth the money to stay here. 🙂
- 4/5
The say was really good the air conditioning felt amazing as well as the showers weren’t a long wait for hot comforting showers!! The pool felt nice not too cold but the sun kept it warm, disclaimer the pool isn’t heated. Only the hot tub 😆😆, the friendless of staff always felt inviting and walking around the property felt comforting and calming.
- 5/5
Awesome!
- 4/5
Beautiful property and amenities. Wish they had more staff at the bar for quicker service but overall staff was extremely friendly. Attended a wedding here and there were multiple issues (frequent overturn of wedding coordinators, lack of communication, denied us room service to the bridal suite, coordinator didn’t tell us we had to be out of the bridal suite by 7 which was an hour into our wedding service, and other issues). Other than, service staff were friendly and accommodating and it was a beautiful venue with clean rooms.
- 4/5
This place was super cute and the rooms were nice. The food at the restaurant was fine, not great, but fine. The pool was crowded and not very nice.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, clean bedrooms, wonderful staff. And can I say heated pool!! Would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel!
- 4/5
Loved the stay, the room, the bed, and the restaurant. However, the security guard at the pool was a bit abrasive on sat and sun he was sitting in a chair literally snoring for a while when we first got to the pool and then we picked up food from the restaurant then he woke up came to our table while we were eating and just bent over our table staring at our food then finally in a rude tone asked “this from here?” The bag from the restaurant was on the table with the receipt stapled to it and where else would we have gotten a burger with the hotel logo branded into the bun? It’s not a very large menu I would think the security could maybe familiarize themselves with what food from the hotel looks like. Also, when we said yes he said nothing and just walked away. I understand he has a job to do but we are a family eating lunch at a pool in a hotel where we were staying in a suite i felt like i was being watched policed by a prison guard
- 5/5
Had a great time to meet kids at school
- 4/5
I miss the way it used to be but yes it's very nice still
- 5/5
Mansion beautiful stay was nice food was good
- 5/5
I used to go through Hayes as a kid and play hide and seek. Used to be run down and looked haunted. Came to visit from out of state and have enjoyed two days here. Its quiet, relaxing and beautifully restored
- 5/5
There was a man walking around the parking lot pulling on door handles. He jumped the fence in broad daylight. When I saw that I did not feel comfortable leaving my car. Another person in our party had hee truck broken into that night. I dont recall seeing security when we checking in late Friday night. Place is beautiful orherwise.
- 5/5
Lived in san jose all my life but never stayed here moved to las vegas came back on vacation im sure i will stayvnack here every time good location best service hands down
- 3/5
Pool was nice but it was a shame it was fenced in and did not have enough sun beds
- 5/5
What a surprise when we pulled into the Hayes Mansion ! Absolutely gorgeous 1904 mansion . The surroundings , gardens , landscaping were lovely and the staff from reception to waiter / housekeeping were helpful & courteous . Definite staying here again
- 1/5
I was pissed obviously, manager came out immediately and said he chased the kid away and called the police, 7 hours later the police called me all confused. But it is really annoying that the hotel didn’t take care of my 1 night or offer a free night in the future. Poor service.
- 5/5
Good location
- 1/5
Food poisoning at there dine in restaurant
- 5/5
Amazing staff
- 5/5
The restaurant had some delicious options and we loved the access to coffee, tea and water all day. The bed was comfortable and the pool and hot tub wonderful. We will definitely be back.
- 2/5
Computer system error upon check-in. Staff communication was adequate. Needed a key card to access pool/fitness area but due to system error was not able to get it. Forced into needing an escort to room and other areas everytime was frustrating and time consuming.
- 5/5
Never had hot water in the shower and that was a huge problem and takes away 1 star.
- 4/5
It is a beautiful hotel. It was clean, spacious and quiet. It has great amenities, nice pool and hot tub, it also has fire pits outfront which are great at night to sit next to. Parking was $20 a night. That was a surprise. We didnt know about that before check-in.
- 3/5
The front desk staff was very blah. Not what you would expect from a “luxury hotel.” At check-in the front desk agent was not welcoming at all, little to no eye contact, poor posture constantly leaning on the desk as if I was interrupting, did not discuss any of the amenities that the hotel had to offer and scoffed at me when I asked if I could add this stay to my Hilton Honors account. At checkout, the front desk agent was also just very straightfaced and did not check to see how our stay was just went straight to the facts of what the bill looked like. Aside from the front desk staff the property is pretty nice although our TV did not work in our room and we waited almost an hour and a half for someone to come fix it. The pool also had no towels and when I asked them to bring towels, we waited over 45 minutes and still no towels so we ended up leaving and walking back to our room, cold and soaking wet. Again, not something you would expect from a “luxury hotel”. For the price you pay for one of these hotels you expect much better service. I have a degree in Hospitality Management and worked for the Four Seasons, Hotels and Resorts for many years and I started at the front desk. This doesn’t make me picky. It just allows me to understand what should be expected when you stay at a luxury property. I understand that the Four Seasons may have higher standards, but if you consider yourself a luxury property, you should act like it.
- 5/5
Like staying in a historic mansion, so luxurious wirhout hefty prices
- 5/5
Great pool area and beautiful facilities
- 4/5
Two thumbs up
- 5/5
My biggest complaint is that the room was very dark and the lights were dim. Seems an easy fix. In summary, I'd stay there again in a hearbeat!
- 5/5
Stay was great, staff friendly, clean and the only downfall was, on your event calendar there was to be live music and we saw the person show up but left and there was no music performed.
- 5/5
The historic building is awesomw
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable nicely decorated and pleasant staff
- 5/5
Leather wood and marble. Nice.
- 4/5
Historical landmark
- 5/5
Great place! Five stars. Best place for me and my wife💪
- 3/5
The Hotel it is a nice place except for one of the persons in the front desk, I felt discriminated, went I ask for help he told me to wait to his coworker finish helping somebody else, then another person show up and he asked them if he can help them and I was first in line, then the other person told the person in the front desk that I was first in line.
- 5/5
The property was clean and the common areas were well maintained. The history of the mansion was interesting to read about and it made the stay even better. The restraunt onsite was nice and the breakfast option was worth the money. We stayed in the newer building by the large conference rooms. The rooms are dark enough that you need to open the curtains if you have sub standard vision like me. The finishes have a high end feel and the air conditioner worked great.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room. There are a lot of nice lounge areas around the place too.
- 4/5
However, check-in was a bit of a hassle, we didn’t get a room until 6pm. I had to check in with the front desk several times, and unfortunately, the staff didn’t seem very friendly. They seemed a bit annoyed that I kept asking about the room status. That said, the hotel itself is lovely, and I would consider staying here again and hopefully with a smoother check-in experience next time.
- 5/5
Very boutique and unique hotel. I highly recommend that everyone who is going to San Jose, should try it at least once. Family oriented.

History
- 5/5
Rose, at the front desk was very helpful in providing me with a very nice room when I had requested an early check-in.

Nice room, great pool, amazing property

Massive wedding was occurring at the property when we were there. Staff made sure our room and sleep were unaffected

Air conditioner did not work. Called front desk. Said they were sending someone. Opened 1 window. Other window had no screen. Waited an hour and half and then had to call again. Switched rooms. Wasted my time waiting while family was at the pool. Some light bulbs did not work. Room was dark.

Stay was excellent! Relaxing and quiet despite wedding party onsite. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area.

Came here last minute, the room was renovated up to date! Bathroom was clean, bedroom was really comfortable and spacious. The upkeep on site was nice and clean. We really enjoyed our quick stay here. Would definitely be back to enjoy the rest of the amenities next time.
- 4/5
The exterior trash cans at entry to the buildings were full and very smelly for the 4 days.
- 4/5
I thought the food prices were too high for the quality of the food that was served. The Sunday breakfast brunch did not have enough food for the number of people. Wait time was severe.
- 3/5
Expedia did not put an accurate description of the room. We did not get what we paid for. The hotel blamed Expedia.

Venue is used for weddings. There was loud music at 10pm on Saturday. It may have been one of the weddings. Other than that, pretty quiet.
- 5/5
Clean nice property. Wedding, prom and baby shower were going on during the stay. Only bad thing was no parking due to all the events.

Beautiful grounds!

When I pulled up, and finally laid eyes on the mansion. I believe my first words were “o damn” the pictures don’t do this place justice, it really is a beautiful place. Service was friendly and professional from the check in to the dinner I had at the restaurant. The history and architecture alone are worth a stay, I wish I had more time here at hays mansion but the little time I spent was well worth it. The room I stayed was very nice, clean, and comfortable. A must stay at if you’re visiting the area.

Beautiful place and very quiet

The A/C was not working on the floor I stayed. Buyer beware they double charged my card totally over $1,100 for a week.

This hotel catered mainly to a conference, which made our stay quite uncomfortable because there was nowhere to sit outside, or inside without being with the conference goers. I have attended multiple conferences in different hotels, and typically the conferences are held in a separate place then the general guests. Would never stay there again.

Love the classic vibe. Exceptionally clean and quiet. It can be difficult to find your way around at first. Looking forward to staying here again.

This is a cool property but not what I would consider a top tier hotel. When we checked in there was only one person working the desk so we waited for a significant amount of time. Even though you pay to park there is zero valet parking. Parking also was not next to where our room was so we had to unload all of our belongings and then park the car. Felt very hillbilly like to have to make multiple trips since we also couldn’t find a luggage cart anywhere and here was zero bell hop. When we went to the pool…. The hot tub was out of order and there were zero towels. After going to the front desk we were told they were going to bring some towels. After a while towels were brought but if you have a pool you need to be on top of having towels.

The rooms are perfect size and very comfortable

Room was so small there was no place to put suitcases. Hayes charges for parking and WiFi.
- 3/5
Very busy line at check in, the hotel has awful parking, lots of empty handicap spaces near rooms and absolutely no parking anywhere near our room had to walk around an entire building and two floors to get to 3rd floor! Make sure to ask about proximity from parking to your room when staying here! Called front desk for a blanket because my daughter was cold and they never brought it. Hot tub stopped working didn’t fix until late the next day it was cold and dirty looking water. Front desk doesn’t answer phones because they’re so busy. Room was comfortable enough, dining was good at the bar but they need to do better on parking and hire more staff!
- 5/5
I totally enjoyed my stay; the 1and only inconvenience was that the parking was not always available
- 4/5
Check-in was terrible hour wait short line
- 5/5
Nice hotel overall, different option to the usual ones.

Charming old building and grounds with lovely modern rooms

Safe and deal phone didn’t work.

Fantastic hotel. A great experience overall. Great staff.

There was a wedding going on during our stay and the staff was very scarce. Only one person at check in and there was a line. We ordered breakfast and was never told it was delivered. It had been waiting at the front desk for 40 minutes. The property is lovely though.

This is a beautiful "estate" not just a hotel. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and welcoming. A very nice calming location for work or play.
