    I love how spacious the rooms are. My children and I usually stay there overnight when visiting family in Richmond. I’m disappointed with the extra fees during our stay. Paying an additional $10 per night for parking after already spending $196 for a one-night stay feels excessive. On top of that, there’s also a charge for a later checkout. While we’ve always loved staying at this hotel, the rising room rates and added costs have made it difficult to justify returning. Unfortunately, we’ll likely look for other places to stay when visiting Richmond in the future.

    Worst hotel experience EVER! I was locked out my room upon returning at 1 am and there was no staff available for 20-30 mins we walked the entire first floor. Once the staff finally showed up, I had the key rekeyed 3 times and the door still wouldn’t open. They used the master key with no luck. Finally maintenance had to be called from another property which took a while. He had to drill a hole in the door which created a pile of sawdust in my room. And the door lock was still not operable. I had to change rooms in the middle of the night after 3 hours of foolery. I’m annoyed and will never stay there again. This was a work trip and my director was present and she is not pleased with Marriott which will impact future decisions of staying at this location. The leadership team has done nothing to accommodate us for this HUGE INCONVENIENCE. Shame on Marriott! I will continue to share this story on all platforms until this is addressed. I expect basic necessities when traveling and they were not provided and I did not feel safe.

    Nice property. Rooms were spacious and very clean. The rooms were quiet, you couldn't hear much outside noise or noise from your neighbors. Staff was helpful and considerate. I'd definitely stay here again.

    We arrived at 7:30 pm to a packed full, loud, active lobby. The check in staff person was all business, no friendliness. We had a suite but the room did not have linens for the sofa bed. When I called the front desk about linens, I was told they could be picked up at the front desk. They definitely were not trying to win my repeat business.

    Breakfast was a surcharge. Parking was a surcharge. The hotel and even the room appeared to be clean until we opened the pull out sofa. The mattress was dirty and full of crumbs. Asked for bedding linens ahead of time but was not provided until after checking in and did not have complete bedding provided.

    At the first glance from the lobby, I knew I picked the perfect hotel. It looked stunning and smelled amazing. The entire hotel was spotless (Parking lot, Lobby, Elevator, Room, Restrooms, Hallways, etc.). The same wonderful aroma followed me all the way to the room. I was very pleased with the room. It was nice and spacious. The staff was also amazing, so helpful and very professional from the front desk staff to the cleaning crew. This hotel is a 10/10. I felt very safe, secure, and peaceful. I had an amazing stay and very restful night. Thank you Sheraton!

    I was on the 5am Van and was at my gate at 5:15!!!! Extremely quiet, huge king suite; very clean and safe. They had superb customer service and all of my needs were met! I will definitely stay again!! Highly recommend!

    Everything was great upon arrival, we were early (1:00 pm) & they had our room ready. We set out stuff down & I adjusted the thermostat to 70 degrees (it was 74). We then left to attend a wedding. Came back at 8:00 pm & it was 78 degrees. The thermostat was “programmed”. Called front desk twice before they came up. He pulled it from the wall & said he “reset” it & turned it to 67. It ran for a few hours before reaching 72. At 2:00 am it had reverted back to the “programmed” schedule (74 degrees). It was miserable. I have a thermostat that’s programmed, but this one couldn’t be “over ridden”. It was awful!!!! Wouldn’t recommend if you want sleep or need to look your best going out. Very disappointing

    Looked better in the pictures. No restaurant or bar but plenty of crappy chain food joints and wine shop near by. Pool area is ok but loungers are all stained or worn and pool could do with some TLC. Reception area has had a makeover and there are some modern amenities in the rooms but the property is showing its age with wear and tear. Nice staff. Would probably try a newer alternative if we were to visit the area again.

    Mattress wasn’t great. Biggest problem was that we needed to return a car and asked for the phone number for the shuttle service and we were given the wrong number. It was actually an out of service number. So we walked from the airport back to the hotel. The front desk person wasn’t very friendly and didn’t seem able to answer questions out of the ordinary.

    I stayed there 4 nights. The heat never fully worked. I asked for assistance from several staff members. Your only bright spot is kenya. I'm on my way back home with a miserable cold. The solution is either shut the room down until the problem can be remedied, or fix it right away. Thank you.

    Checked in. Was sent to the wrong room. Had to move all of my stuff and check into another room. After settling in and getting undressed to take a shower, the shower was broken. Had to get dressed and move yet another room. Very exhausting. Staff did not accommodate me for the inconvenience, staff barely cared. My second time staying at this hotel as I frequent the area for business however I think that was my last.

    I was in town for business. Booked 3 rooms for 6 nights (totaling $3,688.88). At arrival I had to place a card on hold for incidentals (which is perfectly normal and fine). However, when I checked my account. I noticed that they held $915 PER ROOM. After complaining to the manager. He promised to make the necessary adjustments and gave me breakfast vouchers. Well I've been home now for 4 days and that hold is still there! To only make matters worst, my trip was cut short by 2 days. They DID NOT reimburse me for those 6 nights (3 rooms x 2 nights). And now that I'm back home, I can't get a manager on the phone. FYI. I'm 47 years old and this is the very first review I've ever wrote. Other than that, $10 per night parking and $18 breakfast. But the place is clean. Which is definitely worth reporting.

    My request to be separated is a standard procedure in hospitality and after several attempts we were finally assigned a quiet room on the top floor. So we packed up and moved. Next time I will call ahead to be sure there aren’t any groups and/or access to a manager that can accommodate us accordingly without all the aggravation.

    Arrived at 12:45 for a 3p check in. I was early and didn’t mind waiting in the lobby reading my Kindle. At 1:30, they said my room was ready. Great! Went upstairs to find only one bed made (the other bed was completely stripped). When I called the front desk to explain the situation, the woman said there are sheets downstairs and I could make my own bed. I said, “You want me to make my own bed after all I’m paying?” She said no, but I would need to return downstairs and wait for another room to become available. Forty five minutes later they said the same room was now available. I’m sure the woman had me wait extra long as there is no way it took 45 min to make that bed.

    We were put in actually had urine leaking from the room above us onto our bathroom. When we checked in there was a puddle on top of the toilet. The staff graciously moved us to a new room. The grounds are basic and unfortunately they charge you to park your car on the property in their huge outdoor lot. That was a bit surprising!

    The problem I had was when I checked in I was told that I needed to pay for my hotel stay when I already prepaid through Expedia. I have the receipt of payment and my credit card was charged already. I thought this was taken care of. After I checked out and looked at my bank statement I saw that my debit card was charged. I will be calling the hotel to see what this is about.

    The young woman (black hair, white female), who checked us in late at night (around 10 pm) was extremely curt, unfriendly, unhelpful and overall rude. We are Bonvoy members and she was not willing to assist us in looking for our member number. She simply said that we needed to provide it and that she had no way of finding it; not by name, address, phone number, or email. After she checked us in, we asked for our room number and she rudely told us it was in the back of our card and that it was the hotel’s policy that she could not say it out loud. Due to her lack of customer service skills, we will never give our business to that hotel again.

    Sheraton Richmond Airport hotel was great. Was able to leave my car in their parking lot for 5 days while we went out of the airport to take a cruise out of Miami. No problems when we returned. Hotel shuttle took us the RIC at 4am for our early flight and picked us up 5 days later when we returned at 10:30pm. Also had a great dinner in the hotel restaurant. Food and service were great. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

    Everyone single staff member we encountered at this hotel were so accommodating and friendly. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the bartender was amazing.

    Good hotel that is super convenient to the airport. I didn’t get to enjoy many of amenities as it was a quick trip. The people were friendly. And only suggestion I would make would be too have actual pool towels and upgrade the furniture. I do agree with some people that the snacks were way overpriced. Three dollars for a bottle of water is pretty excessive for anywhere.

    Make sure if you are needing an early morning shuttle they put your name on their list. I told registration specifically at check in that we would be leaving at 3 am for a 5 am flight the next morning and would need the shuttle service. Then when we were ready to leave, we weren’t on their list on a clipboard they have behind the counter, which we didn’t even know about. So I caught some attitude at the front desk like it was my fault. But they sent one over straight away. So it wasn’t a big disruption to our stay and our driver was nice.

    The hotel is 3 minutes from the rental car return, the restaurant has excellent food, there was plenty of available parking and the rooms are large, comfortable, and clean.

    My flight had been canceled and when I your hotel the young man was so nice and helpful. Shuttle was fast. Room was great.

    I was erroneously charged a second time for the room then charged an additional $800 for no reason plus an additional $50 in the middle of the night. I had to make time in my morning after a terrible night’s sleep with a horribly loud room due to the AC and fridge to speak to the management to fix the billing charges. This place is convenient to the airport but not worth it for the lack of sleep or peace of mind.

    I would give 5 stars but the airport shuttle was late (reserve early because it goes to several hotels in the area which can alter the schedule) and the water in the sink was lukewarm at best. Otherwise, this is a great, but high priced, hotel.
