Excellent hotel! Clean, quiet room. Safe, quiet location. Good breakfast. Amazing parking- we were allowed to keep our car on site for a few hours after checking out. Easy walk to UCLA. Staff were great- Jasmine answered a lot of questions, helped me with parking, and recommended a great restaurant in walking distance. This hotel would be my first choice if I need to come back to LA.

The carpet in the room was filthy, the room smelled. The bedding smelled. Booked for two nights, couldn’t possibly stay the second night. Checked out early the next day. Hotel agent said the refund would go through Expedia. Expedia says it has to go through hotel!!! What a joke! I had to pay for another hotel for that second night! I’m trying to get my refund!!

It definitely was not as expected. Hotels.com had a 4+ rating and that was definitely not our experience or opinion. The staff was nice and did offer some assistance. I did not like the location of the hotel, we were assigned a room where the traffic noise was horrible. The window opened about 3”, maybe that’s standard. They did however offer to change the room but by the time we returned from dinner we were too tired and also decided to checkout really early. The screen on the window was half off and the room smelled, they did give us some Lysol which helped. Bathroom was clean. BTW not a lot of great restaurants in the area.

Very clean, quiet and well-run place. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We needed an extra bath towel and bedding set for the sofa bed and it was promptly provided. Breakfast was always hot and ready. The area felt safe. Our room was spacious and clean. Our only complaint would be the toilet paper holders - they consist of two metal tabs that don't quite fit the toilet paper rolls so they were always falling off or getting stuck (first world problems right?). We would definitely stay here again when visiting the San Jose area again!

Great place to stay! I strongly recommended specifically for family that have children! Place is very clean and the buffet breakfast was really good! Rooms are very clean and the staff are very accommodating. Always serve you with a smile! 😊

Our son lives down the road so when we come into town this is our go to place to stay. it is very quiet and safe all tho its on an expressway. The room is nice and clean and everyone is friendly. Close to places to go with grandkids and usually the breakfast buffett is decent. This trip however, was disappointing on breakfast. Very skimpy on the breakfast not many food options or food for that matter plus that toaster thing was a joke. we left and went down the street to Dennys. Not too sure we will continue to stay here if this is the new norm. 😔

Always a great place to stay. Room is clean, breakfast is really nice. I like that they have coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby 24/7.

Good place if you prefer to stay near this area. Lot of restaurants are in 10 min drive radius and even the tech parks are in drivable distance.

I had originally posted a negative review, we got a room for wheel chair people and it just lacked the charm of the rooms we had always stayed in here. While in the lobby we talked to Daniella and she asked if we were enjoying our stay and we said yes but we were unhappy with our room. She wasted no time in correcting the problem and moved us right then to a beautiful room. We were so impressed and we love the new room. These guys are the best!! Thank you Holiday Inn Express! Very impressed with the quality and service!!

Okay for a family to stay at a convenient location in the city

Breakfast was okay. The area was convenient for my trip. Bed was comfortable but had some ware /hole in my fitted sheet and comforter for sofa bed. The guest on the 3rd floor above me was heavy footed so we could hear him when he was walking around.

Clean room when we came in but did not know the room wasn’t cleaned after we came back to room the next day, unless you request it. The shower door did not open on one side unless you pull very hard which was not good. Staff is great and everyone friendly.

We stayed here for 2 days while my husband had a procedure done at the local Kaiser. The location worked out great, and the room was spacious and comfortable the layout worked out super well and it looked newly re -done. The tile and carpet were pretty and clean, and the staff was very helpful. Just stay away from any breakfast eggs! The rest was good.

Please see my picture. I checked out at 530am this morning and found this creature in the lobby. I know that they lady working the front desk saw it and may have thrown it outside. When i walked outside the lobby i took these pictures because i didnt think anyone would believe me. I wont be back. Ive not asked for anything from the hotel and dont want anything. Guests be aware!

The "main manager?" at the front desk was busy chilling instead of helping customers. Coffee was out ..they told me to wait for it...waited for 15 mins, nothing! Was checking out after an hr & noticed still no coffee, nada!

It was 100 degrees that day. The AC in the room was off when I arrived. I immediately turned on the AC (wall unit). The air that was blowing out was cool, not cold. Terrible night sleep in a room that was probably over 80 degrees. I don't recommend staying during hot weather.

Upon arrival, William was kind, polite and welcoming, he informed me about the wife, where breakfast is etc. Thank you, other employees, were not really welcoming, however, one breakfast lady, was sweet, she was a little older and was very nice. She said good morning, and smiled at everyone, it was nice. overall, it was a great experience.

The location is great, close to San Jose Airport. The staff are cordial. The rooms seem new and clean. However, the AC is too outdated with too much noise, none of my family members could get a good night sleep. The biggest complaint from us is that we didn't get the room we reserved and paid for through Hotels.com. We pre-paid King bed rooms because we wanted a bigger space for our baby with us, but we were given queen beds rooms at check-in. Front desk told us this was the issue with Hotels.com reservation and they didn't have any spare king bed room for us. We don't really know whether Hotels.com or Holiday Inn messed up with our reservation, but the reservation confirmation from Hotels.com did say king bed rooms.

We jump from place to place, and Holiday Inn seem to have rooms available more so than other place. For the suite room, the price is very reasonable. The room is fairly big and pretty clean. They're usually located somewhere close to a highway. So traveling is convenient.

Good location, easy to find, good breakfast. While a ground floor room was good for getting luggage in and out, our window was on the courtyard and groups were out there talking until late at night. Cleaning crew didn't make it to our room by the time we got back at 3:30 so we told them to skip it.

Decent for a quick 1 night stay. Property going through renovation but barely noticed. Breakfast was alright (waffle maker, standard continental breakfast type items), free parking was nice and plenty of available spaces, room was clean/comfortable. Would stay here again.

We were in San Jose for a Portuguese festa. We had two adults and 4 children. The room was spacious with two queens and a sofa/coffee table. Breakfast was complimentary and yummy. Something for everyone.

The remote had dead batteries. Should have been asked if we wanted an inside room away from the street. Car were racing all night. Also would have been nice to have potatoes on the breakfast menu.

One of the stuff was quite rude when I asked about the location of the breakfast. Without uttering a word, she just point in the direction. And left it at that.

Convenient location with more than enough parking. It is on the crossroads of two very large and busy streets. My room was nearly on the corner so there were times when it was a bit loud. The property is large so ask for a room in the back and you should be good.

Our one-day stay for the second time in our California trip didn't go very well (the first one was great). We got the same super-clean facilities etc but our room had no sofa bed with the king bed as advertised. We needed to pay $20 more to move to a new room with two queen beds.

That’s why I love staying at Holiday Inn Express. Very clean & cozy. Staff are very nice. The hot breakfast are the best! There’s waffles maker & pancake machine (whatever you call it) bagels, muffins, sausages, eggs, boiled eggs, fruits & more. Coffee, tea, hot coco & variety of fruit juices. There’s to go bag if you just want your breakfast to go.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this Holiday Inn. There is dining close enough to walk to and the room was clean.

Good value for the price; convenient location for us. Good breakfast. Hot water available all day. A little boost as it is on El Camino Real - a main road.

My stay was ok but noisy. I could hear people walking upstairs through out the night and sometimes people talking early morning in the hallway.

It’s at an easy location to eat out if needed. I traveled with my family and the kids enjoyed the pool! Very nice place to stay! 👍👍

Hotel was nice, god staff. it's located at the intersection of two major streets, this is one of the loudest rooms I've ever been in - ALL NIGHT - cars with no mufflers racing off at the green light. firetrucks with sirens hanging on their horns. terrible.

I checked in with my family at 12:30 AM and the hotel was first impression was OK and I was able to sleep. My family and I woke up to loud jumping running from the upper floor. I could hear some young child jumping off of the bed and running back-and-forth for at least 30 to 45 minutes I called the front desk and they said they would take care of the matter, but it continued for another 15 minutes Besides that I talked to the manager the front desk and they just said it was what it was so I just wanna let you know you could hear the upper floors footsteps and running and jumping at somebody’s upstairs on your upper floor so I recommend you get the higher floors

The facilities were good, but the $150.00 additional fee pending on my credit card for 3 weeks each time I stay is concerning. They tell you it will be removed when you check out but they tie up that amount for weeks

I really enjoyed the larger room.

It was easy to get to the property once I knew where it was. I went to the other property down the same street. Parking and check in was good. To get to the elevator you need to go outdoors then when you get out of the elevator you need to go outdoors then get inside. Glad it wasn’t raining when we were there. But the wind was an adjustment.

We booked this location by mistake but was very pleased at the amount of walking distance amenities. The room was clean the beds are comfy the bathrooms are nice. They supply shampoo, conditioner and lotion enough for the whole family it also had a hair dryer. Front desk messaged and asked if we were satisfied with our room. I did have a queation about the temp on the mini fridg. They sent maintenence up right away and we resolved the issue. I give this hotel 5 stars for that. The only bad I can say is the breakfast room is not very big and seating is very limited. Breakfast was good they had both a waffle and pancake maker. Overall we would book again if we were ever i. San Jose.

The Hotel itself was good. The rooms were nice. The bed comfortable, and the pillows were amazing. Breakfast was good. The gym was little compared to others I have been to, but there was a gym. The best part was that the hotel was located right on a walking/running/biking path. For some this won't matter, but I really enjoyed being able to get on it and go for miles without really worrying about traffic. The hotel employees were great and very helpful. Overall, it was a good place to stay. It is nothing overly fancy or that catches your eye, but it was nice and clean, and worth staying in.

The staff was excellent. Great to have free breakfast every morning (although the toaster took way too long). Heard loud footsteps above me one night, called the front desk, and they took care of it. Needed to extend my stay and they were very accommodating.
