Reviews
The hotel has a great location and friendly staff, but the rooms are often dirty and in need of maintenance. The pool and bathrooms are also frequently mentioned as areas needing improvement.

The room wasn’t spotless clean and the woman who checked me in wasn’t the friendliest. Other staff were nice but I was expecting more especially from the reviews. Location was nice for walking to restaurants
- 5/5
No complaints exactly what I needed
- 5/5
It was great I’ll be back again!

Clean room
- 5/5
The location is the best part of this hotel. Very clean and staff was friendly. Pool was good to cool off but not impressive. Would stay here again for price and proximity to nightlife. Highly recommend if you’re just gonna use room to sleep, shower and rest before going out. Would not recommend if looking for a lot of amenities.
- 4/5
Overall a nice hotel if desiring the Scottsdale area. Within walking distance to a number of bars and restaurants. Staff was helpful and accessible and rooms were clean.
- 5/5
Jenny A was SUPER! She had no reservation for us even though we had a confirmation from Expedia. She went above and beyond to help us through what can only be called a frustrating situation. She even checked on us later in the day to make sure everything was ok. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
- 1/5
they charged me on my Credit card separately but they shouldn't have
- 5/5
The staff was so NICE!! Great location and very clean
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Accommodated an early check-in. The room lacked lighting and was very plain, but the property was clean overall.
- 3/5
Location close to bars and shopping
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Very nice place on the 2nd floor to go sit on the outside deck and enjoy the weather. The staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Great location to Old Town Scottsdale. Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful. No complaints.
- 4/5
Overall, great for a work trip. The staff could’ve been a little friendlier overall especially for the Scottsdale area and Hope could tell could use a slight remodel, but good place if you’re just going to work.
- 5/5
Fantastic staff and accommodations
- 5/5
Chambres au goût du jour et très propre
- 1/5
Staff is really bad not friendly
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking was easy although costing $15.00 per day.
- 3/5
It was okay. You could tell it’s an old hotel they tried to do a facelift on but it wasn’t done well. I know it’s a weird thing but the outlets were in odd inconvenient locations. It was also loud at night and I think the building’s age plays into that.

Clean rooms and great service. The staff was very friendly, and location was great. I visit often and this was my first time staying at Aloft, I would definitely stay there again.

The windows are a little thin and you get some noise inside from the outside parties.
- 4/5
Good location. The windows are a little thin and you get some noise inside from the outside parties.
- 2.5/5
Amazing staff! Very clean. Extremely noisy! The property is in the middle of entertainment district, and I had no idea it was going to be so noisy. The music in the clubs starts at 9 pm and continues until 2 am and there is no sound proofing. I never imagined somewhere like Scottsdale having an area like that. Even ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones were not enough. A real shame as the hotel itself is nice and the staff was really amazing.
- 2/5
The hotel was very nice and clean, but the noise from the neighboring nightclub kept us up all night (until 2am), then when we finally fell asleep, the garbage truck was slamming the dumpsters around right outside our window. If you are looking for a place to crash after a long night of partying, this is your spot, but not if you actually want to get a good nights sleep that you paid $250/night for.......
- 3/5
Staff is friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself has probably seen better days. Feel like it has quite a bit of wear-and-tear. Not at all a bad stay, but still.
- 5/5
Great rooms, clean, great location
- 2/5
This hotel should have been more clear in communications they were sending prior to checkin about the amount of noise and vibrations experienced nightly at this hotel. I have never stayed at a louder hotel in my life, and I have stayed at multiples in Las Vegas. I expected a lot better from a Marriott branded hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again and would really caution anyone with any bit of sleeping issues to stay clear of this hotel.

Great customer service

Overall well operated, helpful and proactive staff. Very clean and pleasant spaces.

All was good

Amazing
- 5/5
Clean room nice staff. Good location
- 4/5
Very comfy
- 5/5
I loved the location it was possible to walk all around the city, all of the Staff are wonderful and bend over backwards to make your stay more pleasant and comfortable, and the atmosphere is great, not stuffy like some hotel chains you stay in The noise from the nightclub near by But the hotel is aware of this and give all rooms ear plugs and offer a white noise machine
- 2/5
Staff was fine but the noise level from 11pm - 2am was unbearable. Ear plugs were offered as well as a noise machine but nothing would cancel out the base noise we felt through the bed on the 4th floor.
- 4.5/5
Breakfast was good but very limited options.
- 3/5
The room was very blah. No comfy chair. Had to sit on the bed. Bathroom was very bare. Staff were nice. Expensive snacks. I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Room cleaned everyday w/o asking, comfortable bed, great pillows and AC worked perfectly.
- 3/5
The room was nice and the staff was amazing! ...The big issue was the insulation in the rooms are terrible. Apparently it is close to the clubs in old town and it was so loud until 12pm! We could also hear EVERY door that opened or closed on our floor. If you are not trying to go to bed early, then I would definitely recommend it!

- 1/5
The room was ok. The a/c was very loud. There is no parking. The noise outside the bldg and in the hotel from the drunks was very loud ALL NIGHT LONG!!!
- 4/5
Definitely a great location (left my car there and walked ALL over Scottsdale easily), perks for Marriott Bonvoy members, very clean, comfortable room, super nice staff. One star taken for the noise. Stayed a Saturday night and the club noise was palpable. Appreciate the earplugs Aloft provides but I could literally feel the bass until the wee hours (luckily I like dance music!). Then to add insult to injury, trash trucks emptied the dumpsters at 6 AM. Would probably stay there again if on my own but not if I were traveling with anyone else.
- 5/5
Great down town and good place to stay. Beds and rooms are nice
- 5/5

Nice place right by the entertainment district ! Perfect if you’re looking to enjoy the nightlife around the block but not if you’re looking for peace and quiet .
- 3/5
Super Friendly staff. Noisey area
- 5/5
Great staff at check in, loved it! Will be back!
- 5/5
Awesome hotel centrally located in the scottsdale whiskey row area. Lots of food and bar options, all walkable. The hotel itself is perfect. Quiet and clean. The staff were very friendly and professional. They have a nice pool outside the lobby and a bar upstairs near the rooms for a night cap. Room had a small coffee maker with all the fixings. Covered parking was a nice touch. I will definitely return to this hotel. I highly recommend.
- 4/5
Business friendly
- 4/5
Towels could be cleaner, and the sheets smelled funny. Other than that it was a good stay. Nice area
- 5/5
Staff very helpful
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great location near everything
- 5/5
Sat poolside. It was peaceful. With the exception of those floaties staring at me
- 5/5
Beautiful Views and nice clean rooms with exceptional staff! 10 stars !
- 2/5
They have a dance club right outside that blasts dance/deep bass till after 2 am. We tried everything to cover the noise and couldn’t sleep. I brought up to the front desk to maybe not book rooms directly on top of the club on weekends. They were rude and told me I should have known it was going to be loud all night. If you want to pay for a hotel that you can’t sleep in, this is it!
- 4/5
For the price, very reasonable and convenient.
- 1/5
Never checked in
- 3/5
Room was okay, but felt really humid and the a/c did not help much. Water leaked out of the shower all over the bathroom floor and the room had a slight musty smell. Parking was advertised as free on the Expedia booking, but be aware that the hotel actually charges $15 per night for parking. Staff was friendly but honestly would not be my first choice to stay here.
- 5/5
Stop.
- 5/5
The cleanliness and staff
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
Aloft was located in a such a perfect spot. So close to everything we wanted. Great for nightlife.
- 5/5
I will definitely be visiting again. Very satisfied!!!!!!
- 5/5
Courtney was very welcoming to us , we felt very comfortable at this stay.
- 5/5
Cool to stay in the entertainment district. Felt like parties all around but not loud. Parking was convenient. And we did rest as much as we wanted.
- 5/5
The main glitch was lack of proper signage. I was supposed to turn in where it said XYZ lounge. How was I supposed to know that that was the entrance to the hotel with an XYZ lounge? The Uber driver also had similar trouble finding it if you’re correct the assignment the hotel will be wonderful
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Close by to all the festivities.
- 3/5
Since the last time we were at Aloft Scottsdale they were renovating the rooms but I must say, terrible reno, it went from minimal to pathetic, one desk light for the entire room, art was absolutely awful (a corner mural) and the rug awful!!! Try some cool lamps on the side tables and plug ins for tech equipment in bad or inreachable areas!!! Will think twice about going back, just too minimalist
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 4/5
Overall, happy with the no frills hotel. Gym is nice and that earned my 4 star rating. Rooms are avg. there was a stench in the room. Asked for receipt at checkout and there was a missing breakfast charge- and front desk guy said, I guess you got it for free. We’ll see if they taxi it on after the fact. Parking fee at a property like this is BS.
- 2/5
Workers are blowing leaves at 5:45 am. Not acceptable.
- 2/5
Apparently there's a "Scottsdale nightlife area" and this hotel is in it, so be aware: even with the complimentary earplugs, you may not sleep.
- 4/5
Good value for the location and amenities
- 5/5
Easy, friendly check in. Room was ready early. Everything was great!
- 5/5
Staff was accommodating, covered parking a plus, clean & quiet! A very well designed and implemented: bar, lounge, outdoor conversation area
- 5/5
Lovely boutique hotel centrally located and nice staff
- 2/5
This is a great hotel for 20yr olds. It is in the middle of the club scene. Thumping music all night every night. The room was dirty and used up. Very close to many restaurants though.
- 2/5
Room was not fully clean - food on carpet, shower not clean. It is located near night clubs and was very noisy at night. Hotel even offered ear plugs and white machines for the noise, but when we asked for them they were not available.
- 5/5
Centrally located.
- 3/5
Easy stay, I had read that last year it was going thru renovations so I expected it to be nicer and newer vibe. The room had weird smell. Bed was decent. Room and bathroom were meh. I would say if you can get it get it for a good price than sure but I would not go back myself.
- 5/5
Best one in AZ
- 3/5
Loud
- 5/5
The staff and the roof were great. It is right in the heart of Scottsdale.
- 5/5
Good location
- 5/5
Love that’s it’s close by the fashion square
- 4/5
It is great hotel and I will stay here again but I would suggest including breakfast with price.
- 3/5
There aren't many plug-ins. None next to the bed, I found an extension cord in a hole in the wall behind the bed. No Microwave or Fridge was disappointing as I travel for work, and brought cold food with me. Clean Hotel, Great Location, just little things would make it a whole lot better.
- 5/5
Love the aloft!! Great location!
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable
- 3/5
Lobby is very small. The bar is nice but there is no restaurant so only a few options for food that the bartender will cook for you in the back.
- 5/5
Everything was nice from location to clean
- 3/5
They are going through renovations, and they charged for parking. In most locations I have visited before, parking is included with the room.
- 1/5
This hotel was bare bones and had a creepy front desk staff that we had to walk past every time we came and went and went to the pool. Restaurant and bar were closed. Loud neighborhood, but we knew this when booking. We asked for a fridge and housekeeping carried one in and put it on the counter. Just a window, no balcony so it felt a little closterphobic.
- 5/5
Nice play to stay if you want to go out clubbing
- 5/5
Had a great time will be back
- 5/5
I enjoyed the location and the room was lovely. Customer service at breakfast was very good.
- 1/5
I was told by Misty or Missy that I could book for Sunday and get an early check in approved. I was told to book it online to get the best rates, so I did. I booked the hotel and arrived at the early check in time I had asked for. I was then informed by the front desk person Darrius that I could not get an early check in and that I was unable to book a room at that time due to the system being in audit. As I walked out the door expressing that “I love people that can’t do their job”, he asked my name. I turned and informed him of my name and he began to argue with me. He mentioned he was informed that I would be arriving early but that there was nothing he could do. As the argument continued, I explained that I will be issuing a chargeback on the hotel for lying and “burn the place down online”. Darrius then told me that I was trespassing and began calling Scottsdale Police Department. Do not believe a word these people say and be careful if you have to have a conversation with them, they do not hesitate to steal your money and call the police on you
- 5/5
Our bed was a little too soft for us. Otherwise great hotel, perfectly located!!!
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and facility was clean. Suggest a shelf of some sort in the shower for convenience.
- 3/5
Needs updating considering the location
- 5/5
Very nice property. Close to restaurants and downtown life.
- 5/5
Great area, and very responsive
- 4/5
Beds are super comfortable and it was quiet during our weeknight stay. Easy check in. Walkable to the mall. Of note not in the listing is that it is a $200 deposit and addition to the room rate and parking is $12 a night.
- 5/5
Great environment!
- 5/5
Definitely a great area& super responsive.
- 5/5
Excellent. Loved the location
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Good stuff
- 5/5
Thanks
- 5/5
Lovely front desk folks. Lady who sets up coffee was early and so nice!!
- 4/5
Well, our usual go to place but this time, the pool was cold (turn the heat up) there was a damp towel folded up and left on the shower floor!!! Only one pair of earplugs for two people!!! The pool needed a good cleaning!!! The room is minimalistic but why just one lamp and on the rest, try two!!! Will rethink about booking again!!! Needs some work and now you have to pay for parking, really!!!
- 3/5
What I love- great location. That was pretty much the only thing. The rooms smelled muggy and moist. The room was filthy, crumbs everywhere and surfaces nasty. The bathroom was also not cleaned and the set up of the shower is not ideal, makes the whole bathroom floor wet. Only one elevator working, and took 10 mins to get up and down with the elevator each way. Most likely will not stay here again.
- 2/5
The sheets were clean, so there's that. For the price, and location I would not recommend this property. Spend the extra, this is not worth the savings.
- 1/5
They charge 12 bucks a day to park over there, too. I won't be going to any Aloft hotel in the future.
- 5/5
Love the location
- 2/5
The property seemed like a badly converted 1 star motel.
- 2/5
Hello. We try ro stay at aloft whenever we can. But. This experience had a couple of issues. Staff and cleanliness were great. But our tv remote didnt work. We called the front desk and they sent some one up with batteries. It still didnt work. We called but no one ever came up to help out. We did figure out how to turn it on manually but it seemd like there may be an issues with it. And it was very hard to turn of manually. We also only had one regular coffee int he room. One regualr one decaf. So my husband had to get dressed and head downstairs for my coffee.
- 1/5
The hotel is very old, dark and feels unsafe. The interior is dingy and dirty. Also, the walls/windows are not sound proof and you can hear music from the bar and neighboring bars blasting all night. Would not recommend for business trips, very disappointed in this Aloft, I expect more from this hotel chain.
- 2/5
Noise was high but it makes sense for the area and uncontrollable by hotel staff but they do provide ear plugs. It is very well located right in the center of everything
- 3/5
If you need the basics, this is an adequate hotel. It’s functionally a motel in a good location. The bathrooms have painted concrete that was chipping, and it smelled like weed in my room upon arrival. Its proximity to old town nightlife is great if you are looking for that, not great if you’re looking to sleep.
- 3/5
There was some marks on the walls in the room when we came in and all the room doors had marks and such from shoes and other things that made it look dingy.
- 1/5
There should be a disclaimer that it is under many night clubs and that it is not child friendly, the night clubs music was heard in our room and after it finally stops the people hanging out side finally stay chatting the trash collection passes at 3:30am SATURDAY many disclosures should be stated for the price of this facility. Side note the pool was dirty and the pool towels are for infants
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Great location for bars and dining. Lots of nightlife close by.
- 1/5
Tried to cancel my stay within 3 hours of booking it and was denied. Paid for a room that I never used.
- 2/5
Great location, desperately in need of a face lift.
- 3/5
Not worth the price. At all. Really needs an update. The bathroom floor was peeling up everywhere. Shower floods. Walls have liquid stains. Definitely will not stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location and nice access to restaurants, etc. in Old Town.
- 5/5
We have stayed here a number of times. So convenient and easy to get around.
- 4/5
??
- 1/5
BEWARE… would not book this hotel . Photos on line do not depict the current state of this property . Even the entrance sign is broken . Staff said upon checkout they are getting ready to do a renovation …. Expedia should really take this property off its booking engine . Disgusting to say the least!!!
- 2/5
For what you pay, not worth it at all. Nice hotel that isn’t? Hard to describe. Dirty in spots, front desk just didn’t really help. Odd room sizes. Lots of wasted space. Seems it was thrown up real quick with no attention to detail. No plugs on one side of the bed?! Who dies that. We both need plugs. I stay at a lot if hotels. This is my first review.
- 5/5
Easy access to the city
- 4/5
Great service
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
It is a very good hotel and the staff wee friendly. It does need renovations. Noisier outside during weekend
- 3/5
It's pretty run down, especially for the price ($260/night). Sink was wobbly and didnt work. Sheets had a few stains on them. In general everything felt older and outdated, like it hasnt been replaced. Its also above a club and makes you feel like youre staying at a dorm or hostel. Parking at night is hit or miss as there arent enough spots.
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic. Hotel was clean and well maintained.
- 4/5
Pool not available, bed was comfortable, a little noisy . Breakfast was okay. Very cute lounging area with games a bit of a balcony. A little pricey for what it is.
- 3/5
Hotel needs deep cleaning and some paint. Room was ok, bathroom needs updating.
- 5/5
Great place to stay with easy access to Old Town. If you are a light sleeper you will need the ear plugs they give you, clubs are rocking until early in the am!
