Very quiet hotel and it was a nice hotel

It is off season so the evening bar was closed, and It was understandable. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly at the front desk, and the housekeeping staff were friendly this morning.

Good service, would recommend staying here.

Decent room. Shower was ok. Small sink. Separate sink and toilet area. Tv channels half worked. Some were mute. It was an ok room for a quick weekend.

Among the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. They state they just renovated the room so I’d have hated to see it before! Fire extinguisher still had tape over it

Clean rooms, nice staff, right in downtown Scottsdale so there’s a lot of food options and a Target within a 3 mile radius as well as other shops. Definitely planning on coming back here next time.

The pool and Hot tub were very clean, staff was very friendly

Great hotel, located within walking distance to Old Town Scottsdale and Scottsdale Stadium. The staff was friendly, pool and gym were nicely equipped.

Ground floor rooms next to a busy intersection are loud. I’m sure my stay would have been better on the other side of the building.

The room was quiet and very comfortable. Bedding excellent though pillows not very firm. Lovely balcony and being able to have fresh air enter room very important. Cozy love seat/oversize chair w/ottomon. Walking distance to Old Town Scottsdale. The lobby and pool area were vacant and uninviting. This was disappointing and why I would not recommend as a romantic getaway. Having to pay extra for parking, a bottle of water and breakfast a little disappointing.

Breakfast — very good.

All the staff was friendly and courteous. This is the second year we have stayed here (to attend spring training) and I feel that the rooms need an upgrade for the price we pay. The fan for heating and air conditioning is very noisy and makes it difficult to sleep at night if it's running. There is only 1 mirror in the room. The sink area is too small and needs a facelift.

First off, they put me in a room that I didn’t book looked up after taking a shower and noticed that was water damage and mold growing so they didn’t move us to another room which it looked like there was water damage and that they just painted over it

Nice welcoming staff. Room was clean but shower didn’t work well and pillows were too soft. Not a great bar area and tv options not great. Convenient location and good price.

The hotel itself is average. Location is close to Old Town but you still need a car to get to the heart of it. The room was a bit run down and the AC above our head was extremely loud- we tried to turn it off and open the window but it’s just as loud from the busy street the hotel is on, next to the highway. The bed was super comfortable, up to Marriott’s standards. The bathroom design was flawed with barely any room and no shelving to put our toiletry bags. We did like that the toilet was separate from the sink. Service was great. In terms of service, we only dealt with the front desk who was responsive and professional. Our room was not serviced on a 2-night stay which has become the new normal. Breakfast was available for a fee so we favored another breakfast spot downtown that sounded more appealing. Overall, although forgettable, it was a decent stay.

The morning after the 1st night, before I left for the day's activities, I asked the hotel receptionist for the linens to be changed and fresh towels since we'd have different people staying in the room the 2nd night. Came back 8pm and the linens had not been changed, so someone had to come up and change them for us and bring new towels. Otherwise, the stay was great. Staff was pleasant. Loved the hot tub - clean and hot!

Convenience, friendly staff and clean room. Facility appears to host tour groups as there were two large coach buses on property. Would stay here again.

Staff doesn't like to be interrupted. Breakfast closes early when they feel like it. Breakfast is actually a Starbucks. Do not buy breakfast ahead of time. No food or drinks until 5pm. Won't stay here again.

Sink faucet pressure sprayed everywhere, and sink did not drain properly.

They put me in a handicap room (I’m not handicapped) that was about 10 steps from the lobby and front desk. It was quite loud with all the chatter from the lobby and the car port entrance right outside my window. The room was dark and had that dated smell. The mattress was very very soft. The a/c was incredibly loud as it kicked on ever 20 min throughout the night. Not a great experience with the property, nor a restful night, but the staff were very accommodating and it was short walk to old town.

Didn't like the fact that for what we paid, $1600, for 4 nights that breakfast wasn't included. I ended up paying for 2 breakfasts that were good but they were always included when we used to stay at HIExpress before it closed across the street. They were basically the same room price too. We'll explore other options now before coming to next years Spring Training. The bathrooms could use an upgrade. Likely the same since original construction. Carpeting is old out dated thru out. A universal could be added to gym in place of current piece in the far corner.

there was what appeared to be a homeless person in the parking lot trying to talk to people getting in their cars. some security patrol in the parking lot would be helpful ti keep patrons safe.

Room 200 was above the laundry and the noise was unbearable!! Couldn’t sleep. They said rooms 200-205 are affected so why rent them out!!

But if anyone has a knee problem, a back issue, is elderly or is overweight and has trouble getting out of low chairs, then steer clear. Plus it’s placed in such a way that there is nothing you can grab to hoist yourself up. A close-up shaving or make-up mirror would be helpful. It was EXTREMELY difficult to turn the faucets on the first day. Perhaps this particular room hadn’t been used for a while? **** Be aware that there are druggie types who try to gain access (and have succeeded-as we witnessed many times during our 2 night stay) to the building by going in the side door as someone is coming out. The rest of our stay was fine…quiet and comfortable.

Very convenient location and excellent staff. Beds comfortable, pool and small gym quite nice. AC works well but is really noisy when it comes on! Bathroom/shower features are very dated and toiletries low quality. Tried to book The Phoenician and pay more but they were full…..Marriott Courtyard should upgrade this facility….it has much to like but also some deficiencies.

The room was ready when we arrived and was quite neat and clean. The front desk staff and lounge personnel were very friendly and welcoming. I liked that i was able to pre-order breakfast at a substantial discount when I made the reservation. The location was very convenient. Negatives: not many, really. The property seemed older and in need of up-grades. The in-room phone didnt work, the shower handle was difficult to adjust and the sink faucet leaked badly. However, i would certainly stay here again.

We were only here one night. The room was very clean and spacious. Only downfall for me is that they charge $12 to park. I dont feel that is necessary. If they want more money charge more for the room, not for an open parking spot.

This was a comfortable, reasonably affordable place to stay while visiting Scottsdale Old Town. This hotel is actually a short drive away, but there was plenty of parking in Old Town.

We moved to this hotel from another one and loved it! Naomi is the friendliest, most energetic and happy person and made us feel so welcome every time she saw us. She offered us water and often asked if there was anything we needed. Naomi is a KEEPER!!

It is a good and safe location. But it definitely has not been renovated in awhile.

I had a really great stay at Courtyard. My room was spacious, clean and in working order. The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Ate breakfast for two days in the hotel and was very pleased with my selection. I did not rent a car and was able to take public transportation to several places that I visited including to the airport. My niece drove me to other locations that I visited. The location was also very walkable to shops, stores and museum. If I return to Scottsdale in the future I will be booking my stay at Courtyard.
