Quiet, beautiful, secluded, great pool

Highly recommend

Beautiful grounds. Good amenities. Great food. Some staff were very friendly and happy to help. Beautiful pool. Clean rooms. Unresponsive spa staff. It made it impossible for us to use the spa. Some staff were not polite unless generous gratuity was given. Short hours of operation for tennis pro shop, limiting ability to book courts.

We loved the Canyon Suites. Quiet, tranquil, relaxing, clean, wonderful polite staff that were beyond helpful, stunning gym, car service to local restaurants and shopping centre, green surroundings. My 15 year old said that the breakfast was the best she had had in any hotel! Perhaps the pool at the Canyon Suites could do with a refurb. It’s fine but the tiles around the pool need updating as does the pool itself.

Clean room, gracious staff. We had minor construction near our room - the staff responded quickly and moved us to a quieter spot on property.

Hotel is a bit dated and is overpriced . Canyon suites should have more

The Canyon Suites at The Phoenician was excellent and I would absolutely stay again. The room, service, food, property and staff were all we could have hoped for. The Spa was one of the best I've been to (and I've been to many!) and the complimentary breakfast each morning in the lobby was better than any sit-down restaurant. The pool staff was attentive, everything was so clean & the nightly turn down was a treat. Highly recommend There is some construction going on onsite and our room was overlooking the construction site. We weren't loving the view after a 6-hour flight from the East Coast. They were kind enough to honor our request to change rooms & the 2nd option (although on a lower floor was perfect!), I'm sure during a busier time of year, that may not have been possible, but we appreciated the effort & welcomed the change. However, we would have appreciated knowing about the construction prior to making our reservation. There was a shady character or two monopolizing the lobby for most of our stay and we had a hard time figuring out what her deal was and why she was allowed to hang out in the lobby, smoke pot & throw a birthday party for her 2-year-old daughter, complete with decorations, goody bags, ride on toys and all. But other than that weirdness - no complaints.

Canyon Suites is awesome. Huge rooms. Super nice people. They don't nickle and dime you like other hotels. Bfast is good and plentiful. All the bottled water you wa t for no extra fees. The staff sent us candy, popcorn and drinks several times. The pool is fabulous. This is a classy place. We have been here 4 or 5 times and will be back.

Fabulous resort especially the private Canyone Suites. Could use a room reno at this point, but everything is still excellent. Great service. Beautiful views.
- 5/5
Great experience. Only downside were some kids running around yelling/crying in the room next door to us, and in the common areas. But that is out of the resorts control. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend.

Best property in phoenix. Love this place. Rooms and service is eggcellent.
- 5/5
They all went above and beyond to make our stay special. The fitness center is top notch and the breakfast buffet the best I’ve seen.
- 3/5
I enjoyed the scenery, the spa, the breakfast, and the kindness of staff. The staff was really amazing. I did not like our card being charged twice in error when checking in or that turn down service didn't include any evening snack/treat. It was a nice hotel but overall, it didn't feel like a 5 star, maybe 4 in my opinion.
- 5/5
Very beautiful property with easy access to parking and pools. There was construction happening right behind our room so, it was a bit noisy on our last morning.
- 5/5
Wow! What an incredible experience. The staff were extremely nice. Our rooms were cleaned 2-3 times a day! In room dining was delicious for breakfast and the All day menu (get the wings). It was easy to travel uphill to the Phoenician amenities and if you don’t want to walk the guys at valet we’re happy to drive us on the golf cart.
- 5/5
Beautiful resort! My suite as amazing. The staff was attentive, professional, and courteous! Worth every penny. I would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Incredible on every level! Would return every year!

We just left canyon suites and are currently sitting in the airport thinking about the next time we hopefully will be able to visit again. Absolutely loved our time spent here and although it is on the expensive side, alongside the service and attention to detail it makes it all worth it. We highly recommend if you are in need of a short but extremely relaxing detox from life this is your spot!

Amazing Resort- really beautiful and great staff. One of the best stays I had in a long time. Truly exceptional!

outside of being charged $109 per shot (the size of a teaspoon) at the bars/restuarants, our experience was wonderful.

Fabulous room, fantastic pool, great service from staff Pool wasn't cleaned overnight from Sun to Mon which was disappointing as too many bugs to swim in it. One restaurant was closed whilst we were there which limited choice.

Everything Nothing
- 5/5
Rooms are very nice. Super clean. We stayed at canyon sweets which is a private area off main hotel. Not as busy. Main hotel is also very nice. That is where larger pools are and main restaurants.
- 5/5
Definitely worth the stay. Nice balcony view. Spacious room, plenty of creature comforts for the price. And the staff was perfect! The free breakfast is down stairs in the main lobby and comes with every room. There is no in room message. You have to schedule that with the spa in advance. The hotel suggested scheduling your spa experience upwards of two weeks. So, heads up.
- 5/5
Hotel and staff are amazing. Room was clean. The concierge staff was extremely helpful and went over and above to help you with your needs and requests.

The customer service was awesome and the complimentary breakfast was exceptional.

This place is top notch. Canyon Suites is simply amazing. The rooms are spectacular. They are super clean. The service is amazing. The grounds are nearly pristine. The staff was very kind to my kids. My 7 and 10 year old each thanked me for taking them there.

- 5/5
Canyon Suites is where I would in Scottsdale. Amenities and service very nice.
- 5/5
Beautiful place! Great service! Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Disappointed. Way too expensive for a resort without restaurants and no easy access to facilities.
- 5/5
Everything was beautiful for our stay. Our spacious room was amazing. We brought our dog so they moved us close to an outside door for convenience. Only complaint, we were told bar open until 10pm, at 9:40pm we went down for a nightcap, was closed, all alcohol had been removed. Had to order a drink from room service. $41.00 for one delivered to room a little spendy due to them closing early...
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. With its small size (60 rooms), we got to know the staff by first name. It was a very memorable experience. The staff would move the earth to make sure you enjoyed your stay.

Service was excellent

Great property!

A fantastic experience from the first moment to the last. The staff are exceptional, the hotel and grounds are stunning and the food at the restaurants is top notch. It was a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back there again!

Beautiful clean and welcoming property. All of yhe staff were excellent. Loved everything about the experience. Food was good. Staff were so attentive . A1 experience.
- 5/5
From the moment we drove up to the property to the moment we left, the staff and the service they provided was fantastic! They were friendly, respectful, professional and attentive. Our stay at this magnificent property was enhanced due to them.
- 5/5
Great place to stay while in Scottsdale. Be aware that of course its along the mountain so the property has hills and other things to consider. The Canyon suites are secluded a bit so be aware if you want to use the main pool or gym it will require a walk. The front desk has valet drivers that will take you anywhere on the property via golf cart but they weren't always around. The setup with the main lobby and room can mean a long walk also if you were given a room like me. It was a 5 minute walk to my room from the elevator. You can self park under the hotel or use valet. Rooms were spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly. Free breakfast every day was very good and leaps better then most hotels offer. I will stay here again but maybe next time stay at the main hotel to avoid the long walks in the heat with the hills.
- 5/5
The entire staff were amazing and treated us so well! We were well taken care of and pampered. This was a great property and so very relaxing and we can’t wait to visit again
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 5/5
All great!

Excellent customer service
- 5/5
The staff at Canyon Suites is amazing, and so wonderful with families. They learned my children's names, said hello every day - had special little gifts and surprises for them which made them feel SO special. The resort is gorgeous, breakfast is great every morning, and the people there make is very special!
- 4/5
The spa was the highlight of the trip and was impeccably pristine, including massage rooms, sauna, showers, etc... Highly recommend James as a masseuse. Amazing! The hotel also did a good job of keeping common areas very clean. When I checked into my room, I had to further sanitize, as I found many areas hadn’t been cleaned (ie fridge) or weren’t as clean as I would like (ie sinks and surfaces). Given CoVid, I’d planned to sanitize anyway, but would encourage the hotel to further scrutinize cleaning of individual rooms. Regarding the cuisine, hotel food can often be bland and unimaginative. I didn’t find this to be the case for J&G, the resort’s signature steakhouse. The tuna tartare was delicious and the ribeye was cooked to perfection, but still greatly enhanced by the Asian sauces (a welcome twist). Also good was the bar (great drinks and apps) and the Tavern (delicious cashew chicken salad and sweet potato fries) Finally, I’d highly recommend The Phoenician and can’t wait to return.
- 5/5
Camelback Mountain is right behind the hotel. Their views are amazing. They have a beautiful cactus garden with all types of wildlife. Hummingbirds, rabbits, lizards, quail, hawks, and all types of birds. The staff was amazing we have never been treated better, even in Disney! The hotel was impeccable, the room was amazing. We had a beautiful view of the golf course. If you don't go to the spa you will regret it. We hab an amzaing couples message. All of the resturants had great food service.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, you feel like an exclusive VIP guest, everyone serves with a smile, we stayed in the 2-bedroom suite which was gigantic and had everything you could ask for. The spa services were excellent. Fitness Center huge and beautiful. Close to Scottsdale attractions like restaurants, old town, and Botanical Gardens. The only disappointment was that the room was not ready on time but the manager made it up to us and handled the situation very professionally. The breakfast was very good and there was a small honour bar. Pool service was excellent, providing towels and food and beverages. Beautiful lobby as well. There are only 30 rooms so it felt small and private. The concierge was knowledgeable about the town and activities available. Grounds on the property well- maintained and beautiful. We didn’t try the steakhouse but it looked amazing. I booked through hotels.com and got a good price. The suite was expensive but considering the service at the hotel and the size of the room it was worth it. I’d recommend it over reserving 2 rooms for a family of 4 because it’s together but private at the same time. This was a splurge for us but well worth it. The flight from NY was only 5 hours so not that much further than Florida and you get dry heat, not humid heat. April was a great month to go. I’d highly recommend this hotel and give it 5 stars. It is the complete package.

We loved our stay at the Canyon Suites. Staff was very attentive and the property was beautiful. Very comparable to the Four Seasons, where we have typically stayed while in the area. We will definitely be back to the Phoenician!
- 5/5
THIS IS TRULY AN EXCEPTIONAL PROPERTY. Staff are very friendly and always helpful. We had high expectations for the property given the previous reviews and our expectations were fully met and even exceeded.

It was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was super friendly and the resort was beautiful.

Jacob at the canyons suites was incredible. Grounds were beautiful.
- 5/5
This is the place in the Phoenix area! I lived in Phoenix years ago and the Phoenician always had a great reputation. During our stay it surpassed my expectations though I have stayed there before. I even went to the Biltmore to compare during my stay and though I didn’t stay there I had lunch and can say there’s no more competition from the Biltmore.
- 5/5
Canyon Suites is a small, private oasis within the larger Phoenician resort, so it feels very intimate and quiet. We loved the private pool just for Canyon Suites guests, the spacious suite (two bathrooms!) and how staff were interested in us without being overwhelming. Mowry & Cotton had a unique menu and is worth a visit, too.
- 5/5
The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. They cater to every need. Beautiful property with spacious rooms and wonderful amenities. Close to shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
