Guests consistently express high satisfaction with their stay at this hotel, highlighting the friendly and attentive staff, beautiful property, and excellent breakfast. The hotel's location, surrounded by woods yet close to the highway, is also frequently praised. However, some guests note that the property is dated and that the rooms, while clean, are small.
- Friendly and attentive staff

We had a great stay. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and the breakfast was delicious and allowed for relaxed, unhurried mornings.
- 5/5
Very helpful and supportive staff with attention to the details. The setting was very quiet, and the room comfortable and clean. Dinner options provided, and complimentary breakfast. Overall, an excellent experience.
- 5/5
The room was well equipped with a very spacious bathroom. The grounds were attractive and the property is surrounded by trees. The breakfast was excellent with room service provided.
- 3/5
I had a one night stay but room was very small. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, no issues in regards to that. The staff was very friendly. Not sure what breakfast was like I left early.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Our go-to spot when visiting Burney Falls.
- 5/5
Peaceful sitting area outside the room and breakfast delivered daily.
- 5/5
Our 2nd time back and we plan on coming back again and again! A secluded spot in the forest. A great place for some R&R. Friendly, helpful and responsive staff.
- 5/5
Unique property, lovely, very well done. Excellent food as well.
- 5/5
It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Much better than I expected.
- 5/5
Clean room with easy access to freeway. Very nice staff and lovely location near Shasta Caverns.
- 4/5
Inn Is nice. Staff very helpful. Or at the lake. Services nice. Quiet and just off I5
- 5/5
Will definitely reserve rooms again at this location…
- 5/5
Great rooms. Great hosts. They bring breakfast to your room.
- 5/5
I love the environment
- 5/5
There was a small misunderstanding on my end regarding the room features, but it was handled professionally and with great communication. Overall, a lovely experience — we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.
- 5/5
What a beautiful setting for this Inn. It was so very nice. The breakfast was very nice. You can have the breakfast delivered to your room or stay in the lobby which we did because it is so lovely to eat and look out at such a beautiful setting. It was quiet and the bed was great. We slept so much better than any other place we stayed at. I would go back there and stay except I would stay longer than one night. You do get a lot of emails from the inn in preparation of your arrival so pay attention to email and texts. You are sent a code for the door to your room. The only person we saw was the cook.
- 5/5
What a lovely relaxing stay for us! Beautiful setting. We slept great in the nice comfortable bed, but if you're a light sleeper, you have to realize you're near the railroad and Interstate, so prepare accordingly! They do provide earplugs. The jacuzzi tub was also a relaxing treat, shower is generous! Breakfast was satisfactory.
- 5/5
We only stayed one night and it was excellent. The breakfast was simple but well executed. The staff are kind gentle people who are always willing to provide what ever service is needed!! Will definitely stay here again!!!!!
- 5/5
Staff was so accommodating in giving instructions by phone and email, as we had a check-in that was so late beyond their in-person operation. We enjoyed their freshly cooked breakfast of our choice.
- 5/5
Excellent services
- 5/5
Overall, I had an outstanding stay here. The rooms are nice and very clean and the location is quiet and peaceful. The staff is wonderful. They bring you breakfast every morning. I guess the only thing that would make it perfect is a hot tub. I would definitely stay here again, though. Wonderful travel experience!
- 4/5
We love the surroundings. The staff was great. The place was clean and well organized. The room was a little small and we could hear our neighbors talking and their footsteps. The bed didn't have a bed sheet. It had a comforter over it. We questioned if the cover of the comforter was washed, although it looked clean. The breakfast was ok. My wife didn't like it. Overall, it was a good stay, but we wouldn't go back.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Lovely room. Allowed pets. Healthy breakfast. Vert comfortable stay, will return.
- 5/5
I was traveling through for one night on my way to Seattle. Arrived 20 mins before check-in and my room (Robin) was ready. Parking was easy/safe, and the room was great- king bed, fridge/microwave for my packed meals, large shower/tub. My dog was with me and they offer a pet pack (blanket, towel, poo bags). The B&B is close to the Bailey Cove trail (5-min drive), which was a gorgeous 3-mile loop through trees and along the lake. I have already recommended this spot to a few friends and will definitely be back again!
- 5/5
What an amazing little gem! I was on a road trip with a friend and we stumbled across this incredible place. We call it road trip magic when things just somehow all fall into place perfectly. The room, the food, the views…all perfect. BOOK THIS PLACE! You won’t regret it.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, nice and quiet not much around but you don’t want to leave the area. Food selection is small but everything is delicious. Will stay again!
- 5/5
The Acorn was a lovely, clean, freestanding cottage with its own private drive. The staff were responsive, friendly, & respectful of privacy. The views are breathtaking & the front deck was quite a bonus, as was the indoor jacuzzi tub & the hot breakfast delivered to my room. Loved my stay!
- 5/5
A hot breakfast was delivered daily to each room with real dishes and cutlery as well as linen napkins and tablecloth. The food was okay. The room (Nuthatch) was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a very nice shower and vanity. The staff was quite pleasant. The Inn is in a peaceful spot, though very close to the highway. There was nothing to do within walking distance of the Inn, so you definitely need a car to explore the area. We would stay there again next time we are in that part of CA.
- 5/5
Beautiful property with a homemade breakfast brought to our room and included in the price! Just lovely!
- 5/5
yes, the food was fresh every morning, the hot tub was in the room, very nice and large, very clean
- 5/5
Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Good internet. Perfect for our one night stop while traveling.
- 5/5

The Inn at Shasta Lake is cute, quiet, peaceful, and clean. We had a great stay and will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Feels more like a B&B! Love this place!
- 5/5
Parking is convenient. Our room is close to freeway and railroad, but noise is not bad.
- 5/5
Great property, clean room, fantastic staff. Very reasonable price 10/10
- 5/5
Very cute spot, staff was friendly and helpful through the whole process, breakfast was wonderful, such a perfect spot.
- 5/5
Traveled on business. Very relaxing!!. See you next week
- 5/5
Very attentive staff, wonderful property, clean and quiet Would love to return sometime.
- 5/5
Very personal, responsive service, lots of communication from the staff. Room service breakfast to order, the staff really try.
- 4/5
On the down side was technology. The dish TV was basically impossible to get going, we gave up. Similarly, the heat evidently turns to low / off during the night, which miffed me. But, I found an extra blanket and didn't freeze. On the plus side was also technology. Late check-in was electronic, and a breeze. And, the Wi-Fi worked. Other plusses: Spotlessly clean, beautiful setting, the feel and view of being in a tree house, the loveliness of the morning sun coming at you through the pine trees. The best part was that you get to order breakfast the night before, from a simple menu. In the morning, a very kind young man brought it to us. It was he who erased any potential negatives. So much so, that I would recommend more personal interaction between staff and guests. In a few words, this place is different, and interesting, and even special - not just another night in some anonymous it'll-do box. Recommended.
- 5/5
Very nice place and staff. Plenty of food for breakfast. Beautiful setting. Highly recommend
- 5/5
unlike the common “whatever / ok , I’ll report it” I hear elsewhere . The Inn’s location is great and the Staff make the place a 5+ Stars . 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
- 3/5
Also the breakfast was was inedible which was disappointing being there is no other place around to eat. The place and room are nice but unfortunately I would not return.
- 5/5
This is one of my favorite places to stay on the I-5 corridor.
- 5/5
This is our 2nd stay here and it was every bit as good as our first. The staff works hard to ensure their guests’ needs are met.
- 5/5
Clean room with very good communication about check in.
- 5/5
The view was incredible and the bathtub so relaxing! The stars and moon were amazing, would definitely come back!
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was beyond accommodating and very welcoming, it was very pleasant and peaceful and everything was wonderful!🙂
- 5/5
We didn't walk around alot but the grounds were beautiful and well kept.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Incredible room for the price
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, communicated often via text which made asking for things convenient. Dinner and breakfast options were tasty and convenient.
- 5/5
I have enjoyed to stay at The Inn at Shaste Lake very much. Room is clean and service is excellent.
- 5/5
Everything about our stay was amazing. Excellent staff and service. Excellent room. Such a great stay. We will be back again.
- 5/5
Very nice and peaceful. My hosts were very kind and attentive. I got the snowstorm, so I very much appreciated an in-room jacuzzi. They may be serving dinner, so call ahead to inquire.
- 5/5
The room was great, Breakfast each morning excellent. The staff was very courteous.
- 5/5
Clean excellent room, easy location, amazing food. Bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Amazing space and breakfast
- 5/5
Nice clean room, Staff is very proactive in making sure everything is ready and going well but is all done by text or phone call. Easy on and off from I5. Easy self checkin on arrival. Access code provided ahead of time so you can go directly to the room. Breakfast is delivered to your room.
- 5/5
Inn at Shasta Lake is a 5 for better room furniture , super nice gentlemen taking care of everything and the Inn is in a beautiful forest with little traffic . Also the water pressure in the shower is the Best I have experienced in Shasta County . 😀
- 5/5
This place is awesome so beautiful and the most nice people you must check it out.10/10 even bring you breakfast to your room loved it....
- 5/5
Great value! Room was clean and comfortable. Was a perfect getaway for me and my husband. Will definitely be coming back.
- 5/5
Great room, great service. The Indian food and complementary breakfast were amazing. We were so happy to come back to the hotel room and everything had been tidied up for us. Wonderful experience.
- 5/5
The room was spacious, quiet and well appointed. We loved the spa tub, and watching the stars from the deck. The area is quiet and safe. Our check in was wonderful and the young man was a doll. We loved it so much we are going back on our return trip. We have stayed at several hotels in Shasta since we journey up to Washington from time to time. This was the best by far. And they were good with our puppies. This is our number one choice.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Very attentive and courteous staff. Beautiful and tranquil surroundings in the woods yet very close to I5.
- 5/5
The accommodations were top notch we would definitely stay here again!!
- 5/5
The staff is friendly, the place peaceful, and the room was super clean! I would stay again and recommend to others.
- 5/5
Tucked into a natural wooded hillside with luxury accommodation apartments with private entry to each. Feels more like a “retreat” environment than a motel/ hotel. No elevators for upper level apartment so plan accordingly. Our room had a lovely wooded view and a jacuzzi generous enough for the two of us. Room service breakfasts and a fine selection of alcohol provided (between 5:00-7:00 p.m.) at reasonable prices. In fact, the accommodation price is extremely affordable. Not your average place to stay. A very pleasant surprise.
- 5/5
The room was immaculately clean and the accommodations were exceptional. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. I have already recommended this property to 7 other people. I highly recommend this lovely, peaceful inn for a relaxing stay in a beautiful, natural setting!
- 3/5
Upon check-in, found hair on the bed (not mine) so I just slept on top of the covers. I had brought my own pillow and blanklet because I had been visiting family earlier. I ordered a pizza from them for dinner. It arrived at the scheduled time, but the crust was on the doughy side for me. The breakfast was just not for me, but I'm sure other people liked it.
- 5/5
clean and spotless rooms . and the staff were polite
- 4/5
the staff were amazing, very accommodating! beautiful location and very clear directions on how to get there/check in/etc.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Beautiful area and conveniently located. Clean and comfortable room. Very nice bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 2/5
I felt staff / communication was unwelcoming and defensive. They asked the same questions multiple times over multiple communication channels including as paper We opted for a late check in as we were road tripping. To me contact attempts were obsessive when the information ended up being sent via email. Upon arrival the room was extremely cold. We attempted to follow the instructions in welcome package for the fire place. Everything indicated the fireplace was operational. There were not notes or warning on the device besides it not available during the summer months. Per the instructions we text the inn keeper number. We receive that all fireplaces were inoperable and removed as a feature starting Jan 1. This was not something ever communicated to me in advance of the stay. The ONLY mention is within the pre check in email sent the day before check in well past the availability to cancel. In the middle of January, during a coastal storm, I booked with the fire place in mind. The staff was pushy telling me they did tell me and have told everyone for “7-8 weeks” offered a small $15 credit. We had to call the night manager because they did not disable the fireplace properly so our attempts to use it caused a high pitch chirp sound that was annoying and preventing us from relaxing. My receipt did not show the credit and the response was dismissive and very “we are right”
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, beautiful views!
- 5/5
Great room, great Indian dinner, quiet and serene grounds.
- 4/5
Very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Beautiful location and convenient right off I5. Room was very comfortable - especially the bed and shower which were both excellent! Breakfast was not up to expectations … watery coffee and mushy eggs and potatoes. But still nice to have it served to our room. Overall would stay again when doing this road trip - hope they may add gf and df breakfast options and better coffee!
- 3/5
Room was warm, ceiling fans wobbled all night, tv by the bed wouldn’t connect to the WiFi, shower was awesome
- 5/5
The room was very clean! We arrived in pitch dark and heavy rain. We were so thankful to have the option to order an easy pizza dinner so we did not have to leave and find some dinner in those conditions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made sure to call us before hand to point out which room was ours since they knew we were arriving after dark. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Just a great place. Breakfast didnt quite hit the mark but that really is so minor as it really is a great value!
- 5/5
The property was beautiful! The rooms were clean and cozy! The staff was so attentive and Made you feel like family! Highly recommend this property!!
- 5/5
Great service, comfortable beds, relaxing surroundings.
- 5/5
The Hummingbird suite was very spacious and had a great spa tub. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet even though there were guests in the closest rooms to mine. Cell calls texting worked fine with my Verizon plan.
- 5/5
Outstanding room and place. Quiet and in beautiful location
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was served to our room. Everything was awesome.
- 5/5
I made a reservation here based on past reviews of this place. It definitely lived up to the hype. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the room service was amazing! This was the most peaceful overnight stay during any road trip we’ve ever gone on. I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be returning for a longer stay.
- 5/5
We tried both dinner provided and breakfast and I really loved the service: they brought it to our room right on time with lovely presentation, however the quality of food was quite average. Overall would definitely recommend and we will come to stay again!
- 5/5
Everything. Best night of our trip. Room was spotless, Staff was amazing and custom ordered breakfast served in our room was perfect. The extremely large room with fireplace, the largest walk-in shower I've ever seen, and a bed that was like sleeping on a cloud. I'm not sure what more you could want.
- 4/5
The staff called us on the day of check-in to go over everything we needed to know, and they followed up with text messages and emails, which was super helpful. The only downside was the noise from the room next door. The walls seemed a bit thin, and the guests next to us stayed up quite late talking, which was a little disruptive. On the plus side, this place is very close to the Lake Shasta Caverns, so it’s a perfect spot to stay if you’re planning to visit the caverns!
- 5/5
Beautiful setting.
- 5/5
I have only good things to talk about this place. No complains at all.
- 4/5
Breakfast at the room was offered but carb based. Would have liked a protein option, even if it was just hard boiled eggs.
- 5/5
Staff very courteous, quiet atmosphere, very nice spacious room, wonderful breakfast brought to my room. Will definitely plan another stay.
- 4/5
Staff
- 5/5
Wonderful place!
- 3/5

- 5/5
It’s a good place to stay if you want to relax, the service is okay and want variety of food
- 5/5
Very spacious and well equipped room. Nice breakfast.
- 5/5
The property is special. Unique rooms tucked away in the trees. Jessie was very courteous and helpful. The treehouse room was spotless. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean, Quiet, beautiful area. Friendly, polite and courteous staff. Highly recommend 👍😃
- 4/5
Breakfast hash was really yummy, meat quiche was very salty, beverages were good, mini blueberry muffins were ok, but the French toast muffins were dry and bland. The room smelled clean and pleasant! The room itself was very inviting! I would have really appreciated access to an ice machine instead of having to request the ice from staff.
- 5/5
We had a very nice stay at the blacktail deer room. Thank you very much! :)
- 5/5
This place is a great little gem. It's convenient to the freeway and the rooms are clean and cozy. It sits alone in the trees above the lake. The dinner food (Indian) was great and the breakfast (delivered to your room) surprisingly good for a lower priced hotel. The only downside is the train and traffic sounds, but since the rooms are so well insulated you barely hear them from in the room.
- 5/5
Clean and tidy, friendly staff, beautiful environment — I would stay here again!
- 5/5
The unit is so beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean; the little kitchenette is a plus; and a jet tub is simply amazing; the surroundings are so serene and calm; wake up in the forest with door delivered breakfast every morning made us feel so pampered; just sitting on the porch enjoying morning tea and breakfast is already like a vacation. We will definitely come back here when we’re in the Redding area.
- 5/5
The room was so lovely with a fireplace, beautiful view from our room. Staff was helpful keeping us informed on how to check in. Brought us a nice breakfast in the morning; I would highly recommend for a couple.
- 5/5
We had a lovely stay and the dinner and breakfast was delicious!
- 5/5
absolutely love this spot!! the property is gorgeous, the people are nice, communication was easy & the room with jetted tub was amazing!! the room service of breakfast (after ordering from menu) delivered on time was delicious!! absolutely enjoyed our stay & highly recommend this inn!!!
- 5/5
I would stay here again and recommend to others
- 5/5
Spotlessly clean...and we found it quite quiet. Others commented on the freeway & train noise, but we didn't have anything bother us. It's nice that they bring breakfast to the room... especially because it was pouring down rain that morning! And we enjoyed the big tub, as well! They have great wifi, too! We will stay again!
- 5/5
Stayed in a wheelchair accessible room and it was the Best wheelchair accessible room of any hotel I've stayed in. Pristine, clean room. Soft luxury linens and towels. Staff is attentive and so friendly. Grounds of property are beautiful (we had rain) and walkable or wheel. They have a wonderful curry dinner available for purchase. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, so yummy and beautifully delivered to your room. 10 stars!!!!!
- 4/5
We would recommend the Inn, and will definitely be staying here again. The service and Max the Inn Manager were great, courteous and very helpful.
- 5/5
We had a lovely, comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, service friendly and a beautiful location. Have already recommended it to friends!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was super clean and had everything we needed! We appreciated that they had some pet friendly rooms and loved the bagels, coffee and juices in the morning.
- 5/5
They have the best butter chicken for dinner and room service 😍 Staff super friendly, place very clean and very nice room 😻 Coming back for sure
- 5/5
A lovely place to stay, a clean and very accessible studio. Lots of little touches, and free breakfast was very welcome! Would definitely go back.
- 5/5
This was a beautiful unexpected sanctuary. I stayed in the Nuthatch room and it was beautiful with nice view and huge room! So much space and the bed was extra comfortable. The fireplace was an added bonus for the luxury feel in the cold night! The complimentary room service breakfast was also unexpectedly phenomenal. I would definitely star here again. Staff was friendly and super communicative!
- 5/5
This forest, retreat-like setting proved to be a restful place to stay. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the staff gracious. They brought breakfast to our room in the morning. It was a pleasant stay
- 5/5
Breakfast: amazing Room: hummingbird Great room and easy check in. Staff were all nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back to stay for a longer trip.
- 5/5
My stay at the Shasta Inn was absolutely exceptional. The property is peaceful, quiet, and the perfect place to relax. The highlight for me was the jetted tub—luxurious and rejuvenating after a long day of exploring. The food was really good, adding to the overall comfort of the stay, and everything throughout the inn was very clean and well-kept. The calm atmosphere, combined with great amenities and attention to detail, made my experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for comfort, relaxation, and quality in Shasta, the Shasta Inn is the place to go. And their continental breakfast is beyond a home-cooked meal. Very excellent served to your room.
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good. Cabin was also good. Management was solicitous.
- 5/5
xx
- 5/5
It was a really nice and clean place to relax. I really recommend it.
- 5/5
Friendly & unique hotel
- 5/5
Hot tub was so relaxing and the view, beautiful! The cottage was set apart with just the right amount of seclusion! We will definitely be back for a longer stay!
- 5/5
Very peaceful and restful. Staff was very helpful and answered any questions I had.
- 5/5
Nestled in the woods, gorgeous
- 5/5
Staff is so kind helpful and welcoming The Indian food is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!
- 5/5
Would stay again
- 5/5
Absolutely perfect. The room was beautiful and the setting was so peaceful. Wish I could have stayed longer, and I will definitely be back. Service is great and the dinner was beautifully served and delicious.
- 5/5
Nice place, recommended!
- 3/5
However, I found some stray hair on the linen so hygiene-wise...I'm not sure .Communication was not my style either. Ever since the booking, i got non-stop emails and messages to share my personal email so they can send "additional information about my room". I have never been asked this with any expedia booking so it felt sneaky and suspicious. In those same emails and texts, I kept getting told to expect a call to receive check-in information. This was weird too. I was on a road trip and it was very frustrating that I had to be able to receive a call from the property to receive my access details? Maybe some people like the human touch but it was simply an annoyance to me. When i did receive the call, as expected, it kept getting dropped because I was on the road the whole time. The little i could hear was the person telling me they dont give access details until they speak to the guest. This is a weird requirement and no where mentioned in the property details. Again felt iffy. And of course the person tried several creative ways to get my personal email again! The whole thing felt very odd and I dont trust this property to book a stay again.
- 5/5
Cozy little cabin with too many fine details to mention in a brief review. We will stay again!
- 5/5
Staff are very nice. The amenities are good for customers. Overall is good
- 5/5
This little retreat was an absolute surprise! Off the road, quiet and spacious, it truly was enchanting. The rooms were generously large, with a large bathroom and very big tiles showered. The breakfast include was delicious. The communication from email, texts and calls were very considerate as they want to make sure their guests arrive okay and are settled as there is limited cell service for some. A beautiful stay!
- 5/5
The pride in caring was evident from the moment we walked in. Clean, well organized and good staff. Room was small—we had the goldfinch room-but comfortable. Excellent A/C and fan, very good shower, nice touches with microwave, fridge, coffee maker, quality sheets/towels and the offer of breakfast delivered in bed. Recommended
- 5/5
Nice and relaxing place.
- 5/5
The perfect little getaway ❤️ food was good, customer service was on point and the room space was great! Bed was incredibly comfy will definitely come back and stay again.
- 5/5
Staff are friendly. Breakfast delivered in the room were so yummy. Lots of breakfast selection. The room is spacious/clean. Quiet, bed and pillows are comfortable. I highly recommend this inn.
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay, especially for the price in a tourist area! It is very close off I-5, yet secluded and quiet. Self check in is easy and they communicate with you at various points to make everything easy. It was clean, comfortable and had great AC, that was blissfully quiet. Great breakfasts you order the night before and they bring to you in the morning. Convenient access to any extras you need like ice, extra coffee, condiments, etc. Really enjoyed our stay. If you get a chance while there, visit the Shasta Caverns and eat at Huff’s.
- 5/5
The space was clean and very private. My daughter and I enjoyed the robes and slippers provided. The staff was very attentive. They provide breakfast, which they deliver to the room. It is very rustic, and they had a small garden on the property. It is only 1.5 miles from the Shasta Lake Caverns, which we visited. Unfortunately, there aren't any nearby restaurants. Everything was a 10-15 minute drive away. They mentioned a train might pass by, but we didn't hear it from our room, the Grey Squirrel.
- 5/5
This is a gem great communication and very beautiful place beds are amazing very very clean great breakfast
- 5/5
Treehouse was excellent
- 3/5
Safe.
- 5/5
Check-in is different than any other
- 4/5
only issue was the strong smell of artificial fragrance in the soaps
- 5/5
Great grounds and trees, very roomy suite, good room service meals, excellent location for park drive through
- 5/5
Beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing stay in forest near Mount Shasta. Inn is away from it all but close to Shasta Lake, Mount Shasta City, Dunsmuir, and Redding. Delicious breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent service.
- 2/5
Landscaping horrible and neglected. Room ok but not great. Their food was good but that’s it.
- 5/5
Highly recommend The Inn at Shasta Lake. Everything was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable room. Breakfasts delivered to our room was delicious and different food each day.
- 5/5
Great location, loved the self check in, breakfast was delivered to our room and was delicious. Would stay here again
- 5/5
The property was nice, but it looks like it could benefit from a lot of attention to the landscaping. That said, I enjoyed a little time in the two garden spaces and will admit to finding joy in walking around the property and finding tidbits of sculpture. The main rooms (apparently a family room and dining room at one time), were tastefully furnished in a kitchy/asian-inspired style. Our room, Goldfinch, was just about right for two people with a suitcase each. I imagine it would be a bit small if skis or winter gear were involved. My main purpose in choosing the place was that it was a good hub for all sorts of adventures--from Shasta dam, to the Sacramento River headwaters, to three or four waterfalls, it worked well. Overall? Would wholly recommend if there's not a lot of luggage/equipment involved in your trip.
- 5/5
Attentive staff. Great accommodations. Super comfortable bed. The breakfast offering was great, and the optional dinner surprisingly good.
- 5/5
The staff were welcoming, super accommodating and on top of everything. The room included breakfast which was delivered on time. The location was beautiful and each room was unique. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Great stop..excellent property would stay again

This place was amazing! Probably our new favorite place to stay. So many places lack hospitality in a way that the staff here provide. The bed was so comfortable, the tub was very relaxing, secluded location, and breakfast brought to your room. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful area, friendly and accommodating staff, great tub, loved The Inn!!

Fantastic place! Very peaceful and quiet. Comfortable home like rooms. The only thing was our next-door. Neighbors ended up being a couple with three young kids, including a newborn. They screamed and yelled and banged on the walls until after dinner time then finally quieted down. So although it says the place discouraged his children, they do allow them cross your fingers. You don’t have any next-door.

Nice quiet location. Convenient check in and out. Friendly staff.

Great quiet base for exploring the Shasta area. The breakfast was varied each day and delicious every day. Staff was very polite and helpful. I would suggest this property for anyone staying in the area.

Nice overnight stay. Cute place and breakfast was an added bonus.

There is no restaurant on site but there is a great patio area to eat any meals - or we found a bar that has pretty good food - and they smoke their own pork and tri tips! It is about 10 min north of the hotel.

10/10 would definitely return! Wish we could have stayed longer. Room was lovely, spacious, and clean. Top notch breakfast and very friendly staff. Thank you!!

Beautiful property. Good breakfast. Quiet and clean

The Inn was amazing. They are very thorough in their direction to the Inn. They take care of any special needs you have so your room is all set before you get there. Our room was a good size and we had all necessary amenities at our disposal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Staff were very hospitable and made sure our checkin was smooth and easy. Place was clean and great since we also had a dog . Beds are comfy and definitely a great place to stay.. we decided to add an extra night and they made sure the transition and request was smooth. The area is close to the lake for your enjoyment. Don’t hesitate to book here! We will definitely stay here again!

Quiet and cozy

We loved our stay at this quiet getaway. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. The grounds and our room were very clean. My only recommendation would be the breakfast. The food could use a little improvement in quality. Other than that this place is super! Highly recommend!

Inn is well maintained, there are extra amenities for comfort of guests, communication with James was excellent. Check in and out is non contact and the location is very quaint! Love this place.

It was a wonderful treat to discover The Inn at Shasta Lake. The room was lovely. The dinner option was wonderful and delicious, and the breakfast was also quite good and delivered to the room. Such a peaceful atmosphere. There is some freeway noise, but easy to ignore. I will definitely stay again.

Our stay at this Inn was deeply disappointing due to glaring mismanagement and a complete lack of hospitality. What could have been a beautiful and peaceful retreat has sadly deteriorated into a neglected and poorly maintained rental. We rented the treehouse, which came at a premium and was advertised as having its own kitchen. However, the kitchen was completely empty: no glasses, plates, utensils, or even basic necessities. We had to walk to the main house to retrieve a few loose plastic items, which felt both unsanitary and highly inconvenient. The interior was not clean, and the landscaping was clearly neglected. Shrubs and branches along our walkway were so overgrown they struck us in the face. The property appears to have once been beautiful, but it has now been left in a state of visible decline. If you're considering staying in the main house, be aware that it carries a strong and persistent smell of Indian food. The breakfast brought to us was entirely Indian cuisine, with no alternative offered. It was unpalatable to the point where I could not eat it. Additionally, the property is cluttered with Buddha statues that are for sale.

Other than the WiFi not working in the rooms, it was perfect!

We stayed for three days and the accommodations went beyond our expectations. The staff was wonderful..especially James. Great communication and the room was comfortable.

Quiet, clean and easy access to I5. Will be back!

It was a wonderful stay. The manager made sure to give all instructions for checking in since cell service is not available in the property. The breakfast was delicious.

Peaceful, quiet, and staff are very helpful and make you feel welcomed!

Staff is amazing and make you feel very welcome. Property is quiet and peaceful. They bring breakfast to your room!

The room, Nuthatch, was great. The bathroom was amazing with a 6 foot by 5 foot shower. I will be back.

This is such a nice area to stay. Very quiet and zen.

Beautiful property. Staff was helpful, breakfast was delivered to our room, there was an option that worked for my diabetic needs. They have Wi-Fi, which is necessary because it doesn’t have much cellular reception. Dining options are limited, but it’s just a short distance to restaurants off I-5. The room was spacious and pet friendly.
- 5/5
The smell of the dinner was amazing although we did not partake. Breakfast served to our room was a pleasure. The bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Quiet and comfy. Service was fantastic. Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Pet friendly. Checked all our boxes and we will definitely be back whenever we drive up to Northern California.

Close to I-5, bed was comfortable… this seems to be a converted house. The room we stayed in was a converted living room or family room (hummingbird). Had an interesting smell of food that I didn’t recognize. There were many mosquito eaters (bugs) flying around the room. We killed three of them before we went to sleep. I think someone left the door open, (maybe to air it out?) over all I enjoyed the bed and shower, my wife said she probably wouldn’t want to stay there again.
- 5/5
The service was really good. Communication with the reception was good. They were very caring. The place was quite but didn't have restriction about noice. It would have been nice to be able to cook my own meals but they offer a delicios breakfast. I would recommend and stay there again.

This place was so cozy and quaint. Will definitely Come back

Nice and quiet.

Great stay.Would definitely come back.

Liked how quiet. thought a little odd not dealing person to person, everything done online or phone. Had hard time thinking I was going to be had but after staying all worked out.

We both totally enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Inn at Shasta Lake. Our room "the Goldfinch" was adorable, and very comfortable. Super compact, but absolutely everything we needed. As noted in the hotel write up, this area is very remote with limited services. We dined on site and were pleasantly surprised with absolute delicious Indian cuisine dinners. The staff was very, very friendly, and quickly attended to our every need. We well definitely be coming back!

There’s no closet, not even a coat hook. The bed is about as comfortable as a futon—firm, unyielding, and far from restful. To make things worse, the bed doesn’t even face the television (which hardly matters, since the only channels available were infomercials). The room’s single window and its glass front door both face the lobby entrance, with bright lights shining through the blinds all night. It’s noisy, lacks privacy, and feels more like an afterthought than a guest room. I later discovered that a room more than twice the size was just $10 more, which made the whole experience feel like a complete ripoff. This was a textbook case of putting lipstick on a pig: glossy description, deeply flawed execution. I won’t be staying again—and I suggest you don’t either.

We were so happy we chose The Inn at Shasta Lake!! Breakfast was delicious and staff was great! :)
- 5/5
The property was beautiful..but the railroad goes RIGHT BY the property. If you sleep light, then you would want to pass on this property. But our property (the pine treehouse) was gorgeous!
- 5/5
Beautiful, peaceful area. Large clean room. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Please provide lights in the parking lot. Even though you posted signs that the hotel bears no responsibility, it was difficult to retrieve items from car when it's pitch black.
- 5/5
Amazing staff. Great place to get away from it all.
- 5/5
Very good communication. Fantastic staff that make you feel like you are at a priate B&B. Beautiful room and bathroom! Location in the forest was beautiful.
- 5/5
A very soft bed and nice room
- 5/5
Very nice property, clean and well maintained. Our room, the nuthatch room, was very spacious with a nice fireplace and a huge shower. The hospitality was excellent! Breakfast was very good and having it delivered to your room was a nice touch
