Hampton Inn Sherwood Portland

Everything about my stay was amazing. I needed a early check in and the were so helpful to make sure that could happen. On top of that we needed extra towels and they were quick to get them to us. The staff was so kind and helpful. This stay was amazing and we will come back soon.

Clean, quiet and free parking!

Went for youth girls' baseball tournament. The room was great. Some of the other girls from teamed stay also. They had a fabulous time in pool!

Everything was great! The hot tub was out of order but otherwise an excellent stay.

This hotel has been consistently clean, and the staff have been consistently kind. The breakfast was well stocked, hot, and clean. The only downfall we’ve experienced is that there is no hot tub.

Extremely difficult to deal with

Lots of parking, centrally located to lots of restaurants, the room looked great, and the staff was very helpful and able to jump into action when needed during an emergency. Will definitely stay again if I need to stay in the area!

The beds were soft and comfortable There were way too many kids at the pool. Boys were getting towels wet and hitting others. The boys were screaming and pushing other kids in the pool. The same boys slashing and repeatedly get me wet. I went to the front desk, and no was was there. I called the inn, and got no answer.

This was a good stay for the night for my daughter’s softball game. The room was not as clean as we would like to see, and the road noise got loud at times. But overall it was a decent stay, and we would stay here again.

It was quite for sleeping, the bed was a bit soft and not comfortable. I woke up with an aching back x 2 nights. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect to get to things in the area.

Tv didn’t work, when I asked the front desk for assistance basically told me to problem solve myself.

The web site for the Hampton Inn is misleading. We booked a suite that indicated a separate bedroom. There was no separate room and the pull out couch was unusable.

The staff was marvelous. Lisa at the front desk was incredibly helpful. The breakfast was delicious and fresh and the woman helping us at breakfast was friendly. The property was incredibly clean. The workout room was top notch.

The breakfast was not being monitored and ran out of hot food and waffle mix by 9:30. The front desk staff said they couldn't help.

The bed was extremely high, making it a little challenging to get in for a 5ft person. The bathtub was very slick and felt a little unsafe. Wi-Fi wasn’t great Staff very friendly. Breakfast room was nice and clean, but food and coffee was slow to be restocked with an hour left for breakfast times.

Room was very clean. We had an event to go to amd needed to change so they let us check on early. Very friendly and affordable.

The breakfast and attendant The pool was closed and it would have been nice to know in advance or upon check in. The kids and I got to the pool door in swim suits that evening to find it closed for maintenance which apparently it has been for a while I found out when checking out. Also when I checked in there was no one at the front desk sign said back in 10, came down later a couple times and same thing

Rooms clean. Friendly staff. Clean exercise room with a variety of machines (even Pelaton bike) decent free breakfast 6-10am.

Hotel in general very clean; staff very friendly and efficient. Room amenities were provided upon request. We had to request for towel replacements, replenish toilet paper and facial tissue on another day. Complimentary breakfast is good and would've liked more breakfast meat options and pancakes. Overall, pleasant stay and this is our second time at this location.

Stayed 2 nights and from the moment we walked in the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast area was clean, well stocked and staffed and had more choices than we anticipated. Would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was just ok. Stayed for a week and after day one it was just same boring. The room we had was on the side next to the hi way and was VERY noisy. The staff were amazing and helpful.

The room was nice and staff texted us and offered to address any questions we had during our stay.

I am older and was not feeling safe in the shower/tub. It seemed slippery. When I told the front desk, she said that they polished the tubs and to lay down a hand towel in the bottom of the shower. I tried that and again did not feel safe. So I purchased a shower mat so that I could feel safe and that worked for me. None of the ice machines worked and I was there 8 days.

Very nice Best Western !

I accidentally spilled some water on the floor in the bathroom. When I wiped it off the rag was dirty as if the floor has not been mopped. Noisy traffic and mechanical noises made sleeping difficult. Not a restful stay.

I had to switch rooms because my first room had exposed wires on a lamp fixture.

Clean, nice sized room. Easy check in, plenty of parking.

Clean Barking dog in adjacent room. Owners not in room so WE had to pick up and move to a room on the side that faced a noisy busy highway. Ug...barking dog or traffic noise.

The building is a little run down. For a Hton property you would expect more.

Location My room was not ready even though I arrived to check in at 5pm. They also gave me a completely different room and refused to reimburse me. I booked a king room and they gave me a double bed room that was not the same price. They also made me wait for nearly an hour in the lobby to get the wrong room in the end.

Safe, quiet, great customer service

Not getting checked out on the day we left and are still being charged for an extra day. I tried to cancel our checkout date but it wouldn't allow me.

Breakfast was always right on. All the staff from front desk , breakfast lady, cleaning staff was always smiling and welcoming?

MUCH too cold in the breakfast room and downstairs hallway;Room was not serviced We got no cleaning service after first night. AND, most importantly, the BATHTUB was VERY SLIPPERY!!!!!! Even with the grab bar, I was quite nervous!!!!

Only cold breakfast was available due to a grease trap being broken. The pool was very cold. Other than those things, everything else was great. These things should be fixed because this hotel advertises these amenities and charges more than other hotels.

Staying on the 4th floor helped eliminate noise from little ones and noisy customers. Thank you! Good parking available for disabled people. Helpful staff. First night on the 2nd floor we had neighbors with a small child who watched the TV, on loud volume. The staff moved us to the top floor which was much better for us.

Great clean rooms very quiet

Great location if you are in the Sherwood area. We had soccer games at the local high school, which was 5 mins away.

Price a little high and the hard wood floors in room were not clean.

It was a nice place to stay and affordable-which we appreciate that as a team and family.

Nice person at check in

NO microwave, but they brought me one upon request. NO clock or clock/radio. NO pen and writing pad. Shower curtain was 12" short of floor. Housekeeping brought me another, but it was still 6" off the floor it was a walk-in shower. Didn't matter as the shower heard was broken and hanging down. I was told it couldn't be fixed. Only one wastebasket, and it was full of smelly garbage. The dead bolt wouldn't engage, and the door was very hard to pull shut and push open. The desk chair seat was broken down and the overstuffed chair seat and arms were both broken down - very uncomfortable. The bed was too high, and the metal frame rail stuck on at the rear corner and took a chunk out of my ankle. Parking was good and the room very quiet. Breakfast as good and slightly better than most. The TV and remote worked well. Would I return - not on your life!!!

I was traumatized as I went to grab a hand towel that was saturated in fecal matter. It was a horrible experience and I’m still very upset about it.

If you’re booking through a “third party” website you can’t use the contact-less checkin. You must go to the counter and sign in checkin and out. The room was on the 2nd floor right above a busy intersection and was noisy all night long! Not a very pleasant experience but it is seriously the only Sherwood hotel.

Everyone on the staff is very helpful, personable, and professional. The breakfast is the best I have had in other hotels. Every member of the staff is dedicated to providing excellent service.

My brother is in a care facility near the property. I stay here whenever I come to visit. Staff is always so welcoming and understanding, supportive and helpful. Much appreciated especially when dealing with a loved one with dementia.

Very quiet

The room they gave us faced the street that was so close that is was like the cars were in the room. At checkout receptionist said, after I just told her about the noise, “Well I hope you had a nice stay.” Robot response.

The shower did not work very well did not clean the room when we left lightbulbs were burnt out came back to the room late and it was like a sauna in the room terrible then we had to move to a new room at midnight so not a good experience

Great place to crash for 8 hours while visiting family in Sherwood. GREAT PRICE. Easy check in, friendly staff, decent coffee and some pastries in the morning. Had the king suite was very large, great bed. Only issue was the in room heater was one of those wall units that was very loud. Like having a giant fan noise all night. It woke me several times, it’s just not something i am used to. I’d probably stay again and thug it out, due to location close to my family. Otherwise I would probably stay at the Century or Grand in Bridgeport (and of course I’d end up paying significantly more)

Hotel was very nice. Room was great except for a few things. One, the futon/couch was hard as a rock, probably a sleeper couch, very uncomfortable. Second, only one chair in the room instead of at least two. Limited seating especially with the couch issue. Front desk service was outstanding.

Our bathtub had poorly patched cracks, and the swimming pool was closed and green

But I did have a good sleep.

On the improvement side… At least our room could use a detailed cleaning of the grout in the tile floors. I was a little surprised they didn’t have conditioner in the shower. That seems like a basic thing that’s always provided to the point where I don’t always bring mine. I also think they should have regular cream instead of just only sweetened cream or skim milk. We were on the street side and it was pretty noisy at most hours on the second floor. We do wear earplugs so it’s not a major problem. The front desk said they could provide a white noise machine so we might ask for that next time. Overall, I will definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Our room was cleaned on the third day of our arrival. They told me there was a cleaning staff shortage!

Staff was very kind and friendly, making it a point to greet us as we came and went. The place was overall very clean and well taken care of. There were some very minor maintenance issues, but they were of the variety that could happen at any hotel (and that we have experienced at even nicer hotels) and we brought them to the staff’s attention; we left encouraged they would be swiftly addressed for the next visitors. My only complaint was the bed ended up being too firm for my liking, but that is such a subjective thing that it could be a perfect bed for another visitor. My only deterrent when considering a future stay here would be the gamble over the bed, otherwise every other facet of our stay was nice to great.

The only thing is pets are allowed in the rooms and this shouldn’t be allowed for all rooms… they should have designated rooms for anyone with animals. I broke out in an allergic reaction due to an animal being in the room previously to me. Also the beds were very high up and had a hard time getting into the bed. Besides these issues, everything else was great and would rate this hotel a high average.

His and the other front desk staff were very welcoming and accommodating during our stay!

I was rudely awakened by housekeeping even though the do not disturb sign was on the door and there was still an hour and a half before check out. Very poor practice. the floors in the room were filthy needed to be vacuumed. No can liners for any of the trash bins. Overall poor score. Breakfast was served, but didn't have many items available as they were "out" even though the lady running the breakfast section was working very hard to keep it stocked. It was more of an inventory issue.

Staff was not sympathetic to our plight, offering room keys but that was all that was offered. After we returned, the room seemed clean enough however, the refrigerator had food still in it, and the only towels in the bathroom were two hand towels. When I called the front desk to find out the wifi password, I found the phone was unplugged from the wall. On checking out, staff was only concerned about what our room number was. No how was your stay, have a nice day or any other pleasantries. This was the same staff who supplied the missing bath towels with no apologies for the inconvenience and only wanted to know the room number. The place is nice but staff needs a little coaching on guest services.

It is located in a quiet neighborhood. There is a bar next door. The walls are thin, my kid was crying and I could hear him next to the elevator. But everything else is great.

TV in unit didn't work, the hotel did give me a 27 dollar discount. Shared a parking lot with a ok bar. Property was kinda beat up. No hot tub.

LOVE Hampton Inns. Always consistently clean and accommodating. All the staff are a pleasure to interact with. My only complaint, and this is very common for hotel rooms all over, is the doors to each room SLAM themselves closed very loudly, even if you’re trying to be as courteous as possible and you have your hand on the door as it closes until it’s just inches from the door frame. If you don’t guide the door close gently all the way until you get a click from the lock, it will slam itself. The result is that if you’re trying to relax in your room you’re going to hear doors slamming and practically shaking the walls, because people just aren’t going to be THAT careful shutting their door.

I booked 2 king rooms and only got one. The other room is a queen. I need a refund for the other room.

Bed was comfortable, first night we stayed in a room that didn’t lock! Moved to a room the second night which was the last night our room was cleaned or we had clean linen. Commented to Hotel.com who responded and gave us consideration for our problems. The hotel never responded or did anything!

Our room wasnt prepared for us, when we asked to be added to the housekeeping schedule they agreed. It didnt happen. Its just that things like cups, towels and waste basket liners were missing and when we asked to get them we were forgotten or ignored

Nice property with excellent service, breakfast and comfortable rooms. The only dings I give them is for the lack of an office chair for the desk and no microwave in room. The chair provided was too low, well worn, and uncomfortable.

We always have a great stay at Hampton. This one lived up to our expectations.

The only complaint that I have is the shower head could be improved. Staff, Cleanliness, beds, pillows all great.

Everything was great, except my room faced the highway. Very noisy.

We stay at this Hampton often and love it. This visit felt a bit dirtier than usual. Room was dusty, couch had stains, and carpet smelled like wet dogs- not the norm. Staff is always friendly and complimentary breakfast is always enjoyed by my boys.

I'm not sure why it's rated so low by others. It was clean. The staff was great. Facilities were in good shape, meaning nothing damaged and everything was well maintained. The bed was comfortable and new. Certainly better quality and reasonably priced compared to others in the area. My only complaints would be no microwave in room and the room was a bit small. But will definately stay there again when the need arises.

The property was clean and the staff was helpful.

The staff was super friendly and the breakfast had enough variety to make everyone happy. The beds were comfy and we found a variety of tasty dining options near by. It’s not fancy, but the amenities were great, including speedy wi-fi and warm indoor pool.

Pet fee is way out of line. $75.00 is not reasonable and over half of the room price for the night. Will not be back to stay
