Clean rooms great customer service

All staff were excellent. Issues were with the property, that has a 4 star ranking. No room service, no included breakfast, parking charges, $20 for a glass of wine in downstairs bar, overpriced restaurant on top level, cheap uncomfortable pillows, housekeeping upon request, hot water in the shower after leaving on for 10-15 minutes, no microwave, no minibar, two very small drawers, no turndown service, bathroom sinks do not drain properly, room temperature will not go below 66 degrees. Positives were: outdoor pool, exceptional staff and location.

This is a very nice hotel. The only glitch is that the restaurant is not owned by the hotel so you couldn't get things charged to your room.

I am sure that it does not happen all of the time but the power went out from the 2nd floor on up. It was out all day and the upper floors got very stuffy. Otherwise, the staff were nice and I had a wonderful time during previous stays.

The breakfast was just ok. The choices were limited and the strawberries were not sweet. I was not aware the parking was an extra charge. That was an unpleasant surprise.

The hotel was extremely nice. Only complaint the shower water is not hot enough.

The staff was welcoming and flexible due to the bad weather. We had to cut our trip short and there was no issues to do so.

Staff was great. Room was nice.

The room was clean and customer service was excellent. We were told that we would receive housekeeping services every other day. However, when we did receive the service, the old towels were not taken away, and the soap was not replenished. It was our last night, so we made due. I mentioned the incident at checkout when asked about our stay, and the receptionist discounted our stay! I was very pleased with this service recovery.

Beautiful rooms very affordable and you can walk to anything downtown.

i step out out to get breakfast, when I came back staff enter my room 3 hours early and was already cleaning.

Three EV chargers, but ALL Tesla chargers. They need an additional 3 Non -Tesla chargers!!! Other than the disappointment of having to leave the property for a fast charger it was a nice hotel. There is a 350kw charger at the school, 4 minute drive.

The train through the night kept me awake, would choose my room carefully. Food in the restaurant was not great value. The salad was $14 and was tiny! But service was excellent

Yvonne at the front desk was wonderful - she helped us several times and was very helpful with getting resolution.

Very comfortable and classy. Very friendly environment in the perfect location. Will stay again. The hotel had the same initials as my husband Ahdonus Cofer. He was feeling rich and famous for a weekend. He said he was the new owner. lol. Great stay.

Hotel was extremely clean and inviting with lots of “little” details. Positives: Room was spacious. The shower had two shower heads , one hand held, one not, water pressure was great- and one of the “ little” things that was so nice was having the shower nozzle on the opposite wall. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel provided. Complimentary water in the fridge along with chilled glasses … lovely “ little” touch. Roof top restaurant / bar, bar in the lobby, breakfast buffet, small convenience store in lobby. Customer service was welcoming and took time to explain the in/ outs of the hotel and introduced themselves. Hotel was downtown , walking distance to many restaurants and the new baseball park. Another “ little” thing is the hotel provides a grassy pet area if traveling with pets. Pool area with chairs and covered area .. Parking onsite. Negatives: During our stay, the hallways were very noisy , well after midnight … guest loud and yelling . Pillows- please upgrade to a better quality pillow. Even with both pillows provided stacked on top of one another , they provided little to know support. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The accommodation is very basic. You must request housekeeping services during your stay. Make sure to pack all your own amenities. Nice artwork in this hotel but it should offer more as a hotel.

Great property. Bathroom could be a little more private with a real door when staying with your 80 year old dad.

My first impression of this hotel was from Elijah, he was working front desk and helped me check in early since I was coming from far out of town. The whole staff were so helpful, Anything we needed, they were super accessible!

My favorite place to stay when I come to Spartanburg!

Hallway noise when trying to sleep was annoying but everything else was above average. Very clean!!

Neighbor super loud, thin walls, woke up by maintenance at 6 am and again at 8 am

- The morning lady with the really short hair, not so much. She Almost made me i us comfortably, as we didnt 'belong' there. The oatmeal for breakfast tasted instant; however, the the coffee was PHENOMENAL. This hotel rating would be great based on being there at the right timing. My stay was a mixed bag.

Maid service was nonexistent our second day and my bed looked like I just slept in it. Not service I would expect from a hotel like this.

I would love to give this hotel 5 stars as it is beautiful. That being said worst sleep of my life a train passes the property every two hours during the night and blow the whistle as it goes through.

Great hotel and location. Gym is solid as well. No charge water is a big plus. The steakhouse on the rooftop is a bit pricey and the breakfast is just ok. Surprised they don’t have their own in house cafe/ restaurant. The rooftop restaurant is separate from the hotel so you can’t charge to your room.

Very long delayed check in. I think we waited at last 30 min to speak with someone. The lady in front desk wasn’t friendly, didn’t apologize, picked up a call in the midst of the check in and delayed us another 5 min. Handed us the keys, no thank you, have a great stay or anything. Terrible.

The building itself was beautiful but the room wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been.

The pool was great and restaurants around were great!. Although rooms were not what i expected. There was a used glass half full of liquor. Our rooms light fixtures did not work properly and the room was hot.

Also, the lighting in the room is not great and the churros at the breakfast were stale. The bottom line here is that the walls are paper thin between rooms and the front desk does not check on noise levels after receiving the first complaint.

Thought I would try the sofa bed, and that was even worse! Also bathroom needs brighter lighting, extremely dark, very hard to get ready when you can’t see anything. Very convenient location to be able to walk downtown

Room was in poor shape. Coffeemaker was inoperable because the piece that holds the coffee pod was missing. Shower had black mold around lower walls. The shampoo/body wash dispensers were empty. Feels like the rooms are just getting a little tired.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Liked the spacious counter space in bathroom and the rain shower head. Also nice to have a sofa for relaxing and watching the TV. Nice city view. Excellent, upscale breakfast. The convenience of free self parking.

What we didn't like was no fan in the bathroom. The room was a touch sterile feeling. The bath towels were terrible! The breakfast buffet was very expensive for what it was.

Great hotel if you need to travel to Spartanburg.

For the price of the stay, the amenities were not good. I expected so much more from a hotel of this caliber. I had an unexpected stay due to a family member being in the hospital nearby so I was stressed and in need of respite. 1. The breakfast was expensive for the same quality menu a cheaper hotel offers for no additional charge. The restaurant upstairs was ridiculously expensive. I went across the street to a local restaurant and had similar menu choices for much less cost. Very good food! 2. There was no microwave in the room to reheat food or coffee. 3. The shower was disappointing with barely a trickle out of the rain and hand held shower heads. 4. The shampoo and shower gel were the exact same liquid. The scent was more like a man's aftershave rather than a fresh citrus. The quality of the shower products was poor. 5. The carpet pattern in the hallway to my room was awful! 6. The price went up an additional $60 a night when I inquired about extending my stay for 2 more nights. Since I was already there, I think it was poor service to increase my rate by that much when I was already staying there. 6. I declined to extend my stay with AC Marriott and went to a Holiday Inn nearby for the same rate I had originally at your hotel. I got a nice room, better water pressure in the shower, nicer bathroom products and same quality bed and amenities.
