    looked nice on the outside Carpet at elevators is worn that there is no color left needs to be replaced. shower, toilet and bathroom floor had hair everywhere, looked like the room had not been cleaned. The carpet in the room is nasty felt dirty when walking on it. There were 2 guys talking /fighting very loudly in the parking lot when I arrived. i packed and left no one at the front desk acknowledge me as i dropped my room key cards. i booked at another hotel and was so much better

    Manager on Friday the 12th of June "evening shift" made everyone around 15 people get out of the pool at 8:30pm. Everyone was cooling off and relaxing in 90 plus degree weather. Sad we could not relax and have a good time.

    The sheets were dirty. It had crumbs in the bed. The comforter was covered in hair. There was a bag of brake pads still left in the room from the previous person I suppose. The location was questionable. The Carpet was awful. You could smell marijuana in the elevator.

    Took three different room tries to get us in a room. First room we were to be in was having an ozone treatment. Second room had not been cleaned thoroughly. Third room which we finally stayed in had a disconnected fire alarm and no nozzle on the water connector. I took a picture of this. Tara who was working the front desk was excellent in trying to help us. She said management was going to offer us a discount but haven't seen it come through yet.

    I have nothing that I like. Customer service named Ravi laughed that he couldn’t help me and didn’t say sorry. The room was nasty with buggers on the wall and curtains. Trash over on the floor. Breakfast sucked too.

    The look of it outside was a beautiful area. But your staff are extremely dry an rude. That's where you start to feel not so comfortable. I had the hot tub suite. There was trash behind both night stands. One of them was covered in something sticky. I had to clean it. Beside the tub was chunks of drywall and powder on the floor. Like they had patched a hole but didn't clean up after. The top sheet on the bed had stains on it like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Oh an the hair in the fridge an freezer is disgusting. Do the maids really get paid to do that bad of a job. Because if so you should think about hiring someone who maybe gives a crap. The manager / owner should care more too. An yes I took pictures of the trash left behind from the last guest. I took pictures of everything.

    The hotel is older. Looks like they are slowly renovating. Room was ok. Needed a deep clean. Our room smelled strongly of something like fabric softener. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was good, eggs and sausage were hot and they have several other items as well. Very convenient to highway 85.

    Me and my husband visited and stayed in the hotel for less than 2 hours. The room was not cleaned very well or hasn’t been occupied in a long time. My husband tried to take a nap and woke up 30 minutes into the nap scratching his arm- there were bed bugs. We left immediately. The only good thing was the Staff was very friendly.

    Very outdated and in need of repairs.The carpet needs to be replaced, the comforter was staiined, the blow dryer was very old. The hotel is right by the road and interstate so heard traffic all night. As well as people being very loud. Would not stay again.

    Check in/out was quick and easy. We had a king room with the jacuzzi tub. The downside was the jets didn’t work in our tub. Also we only had 4 small pillows for the king bed. When asked for an additional pillow, we were told they didn’t have any extras. Other than that all was good.

    The hotel is in very shabby condition. A hole in our bathroom door had duct tape over it. The furniture was all chipped and dented. The bathroom was not well cleaned. The entire room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The air conditioner did not work well and we were warm all night. I would not stay here in the future. Staff (Tara) was nice at check in, but the man at the desk in the morning did not acknowledge us at all as we left.

    We ended up leaving no sooner than we arrived. Not what we expected. Not very clean. 2 rooms 4 Queen beds had hair and stains on bedding.     Management was hostile in that he would not accomodate a room change. A change that was reserved and just across the hall from our existing room. The change was driven by the very heavy traffic sound from I85 which could not be drowned out with the AC running and a sound machine. They said the rooms were sound proofed. NOT! He would not permit any conversation with house keeping to confirm our new room was ready and then asked us to leave the property because we talked to the nice ladies in our hallway which confirmed our new room was ready for us to move in. He was being intolerant which is an understatement..dictatorial is not a word you often hear in staying at a hotel. The rooms were run down, rusty metal and, had a smell and the breakfast offering not that of an accommodating hotel. Had to buy coffee elsewhere. They need remodeling and new management at a minimum. We will avoid this establishment.

    The handicap accessible suite did NOT have an in-room sofa like the other suites (which is a violation of ADA), the photos conveniently hide that fact. This was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. Woman at the front desk, I think was going to move us, but we needed the handicap room for the grab bars at the toilet and shower. We asked to borrow a chair for my mobility-challenged dad to sit in the room, and was told a firm NO (we had to buy a $60 Walmart lawn chair). Furniture was huge and dated. A lot of workers stay here so it's crowded at breakfast. Entry and bath tiles were filthy and gray, which my sister scrubbed clean for an hour. They have a grade B in food service, and the sausage gave my dad diarrhea, we had to buy kaopectate. The housekeeping manager was a sweetheart, and took good care of us! And the gentleman who checked us out was very nice.

    Room was clean and tv was good size. Room phone didn't work when i tried to call front desk. No shampoo even went to front desk and requested shampoo no small one use available, said Room service would replace one of the conditioners with shampoo. That didn't happen 😕. Room is dated older style bed and small pillows. Breakfast was Okay but not above average i wouldn't call it a buffet. Hotel seems to attract people that drink a lot and they can be noisy

    I stayed here last year and it was fine, not anymore. I arrived around 1:30 and attempted to check in, even though check in says 3. The manager said no to me checking in, didn’t even look to see if my room was ready. The hallway carpets were worn out, the door frames were rusty, breakfast was the same both days- powered eggs and sausage. The hot water for tea was Luke warm. Tables were not clean. Chairs were worn out, trash can looked like it was found dumpster diving. Attempted to get 3 more towels as staff was cleaning rooms. I was told I had to wait they didn’t have enough, they needed to do laundry. People walking and talking all night long up and down the hallway. I would not stay here again.

    Our room was just ok. The bathroom door had some weird damage that looked poorly repaired. Bed comfort was not great and water pressure was low. The main reason the stay was bad was due to the highway noise in our room. It felt like the window was open because of how loud the passing traffic was on 85. I dont know how to fix that, but i personally couldnt stay here again due to that issue alone. In the morning, the breakfast was standard hotel offerings, the food was hot, breakfast area clean and the maintainance man and the ladies keeping up with the breakfast area were all friendly and greeted me with s good morning,how are you. That was nice. The man behind the desk gave us a friendly wave as we left, which was also appreciated.

    The audacity to charge a deposit that costs more than the poorly maintained room is just atrocious! There was a patched hole in my bathroom door that looked like they just stuffed it with random material and threw some glue on it to make it stick. The furniture is outdated and dingy. The hallway leading to the rooms are tattered and desperately needs replacement. LOWER THE DEPOSIT TO MATCH THE QUALITY OF THE ROOMS!!

    My curtains would not close. The bathroom had stuff on the floor and the toilet paper was not restocked. There is rust all in the bathroom on the walls door is crazy. But the fact that a man walked in my room at 7 am this morning is diabolical. Never again. As a female and a male to just walk in my room is not safe. If I was sleep then what. The only reason he turned around was because he heard me up texting. But this is unacceptable the lady at the front desk was very nonchalant and kind of rude.

    The night shift staff not great. I feel like I was tricked into buying an extra day since they wouldnt let me check in at 2am when I booked the reservation 30 min prior. Not willing to help me at all and had no problem turning us away at that hr unless I forked over the money to buy a stay that started yesterday (which was not an option online). I was even told I would have to check out 11am even though I had a booking for the next day apparently, i which i would have to recheck in at 3pm. Idk... it was the most confusing thing but at 2am I just wanted to sleep. Not a super clean room. Breakfast was the standard with surprisingly good yogurt. Pool was fun but could use some maintenance. Day shift desk clerk was very helpful.

    Worse stay ever. Power went out and the elevator never worked again. The air conditioning quit working and the room was so HOT. Didn’t have any air movement or anything until 3am. When I asked for a discount they gave me 20%. No where near enough. Would never stay there again or recommend.

    The hotel was generally dirty. Hall carpets were in very poor condition (holes, rips.) The plumbing that was visible was not done by a professional (I am not a plumber). Poor caulking installation... When I asked if I could purchase a soda, the reaction from the desk person was I was putting her out. I'm actually canceling my reservation with another Choice hotel doe to this stay.

    This stay was not the best. We reserved 2 rooms and they smelled awful. The double beds were hard as rocks. The check in took forever and had a line of people waiting. The air in the other room barely worked and it was very hot. No other rooms were available to switch so we just had to deal with it. I was not happy with this stay at all.

    I arrived at 1 pm and was told check-in was 3pm. I said I understood and went to lunch with my family. We arrived back at the hotel at 2:45 because my son had a military function at 4 and we had to shower. There was not anyone in the lobby and were told we had to wait until 3pm. Between 2:45 and 3 there were three other people who came to check in. We all sat there with our luggage until 3pm and then had to get in line to check in. In all my years of traveling I have never waited in line when the rooms are available. I understand the 3 pm check in but we all just sat there along with the worker just sitting there until 3 pm until four of us now had to start the process. Please let me know if this is normal protocol and I will be sure to stay somewhere else! It was not because rooms were not ready or it was busy. The worker sat there and looked at all of us until 3 pm. Please advise!

    Staff were friendly and responsive. Our room smelled like a wet dog when we first arrived. We asked the next day for the linens to be changed because they smelled sour. When we returned, the linens were changed. The room smelled of cigarette when we returned. The breakfast was good, good coffee and options. It was convenient for our quick trip to Spartanburg for college visits and not too expensive. Parking was great. Food located close to property. The noise from traffic on I-85 was all night long. It was ok for the price and amenities.

    I did not stay at the Comfort Inn, in Spartanburg, SC although I attempted to reserve a room in Gaffney, SC. The screen continued to reflect Spartanburg, SC. I attempted to reserve a room for a two day stay. I selected "pay at property." I received a notice from my banking institution of a withdrawal of $244.01 immediately. I contacted Expedia immediately and was informed the pay at property, prepaid are the same options. I informed the Rep that was not the option I selected. The Rep states will need to reach the hotel "front office" for refund approval...but could never get anyone on the phone. I attempted to call for 3.5 hours and could not get anyone on the phone. Here we go 80 hours later they informed me via email they would not refund my money. Keep in mind, I did not stay at the hotel not one night and no one has contacted me back to discuss this matter as of to date. This is my story, and my opinion is BUYERS BE AWARE WITH COMFORT INN HOTELS!

    The overall stay was good. There were some folks on the same floor that were loud but they toned it down later in the evening. The front desk clerk was very nice. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of it the morning of checkout. The only negative to me was the breakfast options. It was carb heavy so I didn't eat breakfast there.

    The property is very outdated but this was reflected in the price. Ravi was helpful getting us checked in an hour before the official check in time. However, the room's A/C unit did not work properly. Remote control for the TV didn't work. Found a roach crawling on the nightstand. The fitness was basically shoved into a small storage room.

    For the first time I had a room with a hot tub and after 10 hours of driving straight there it was the "Best" decision ever made. The Jacuzzi tub worked great on my back and legs to relax me and able to fall asleep easier then ever before. I was also able to turn the TV around and watch a movie. It was awesome. So are the people who work there !!! Breakfast was good also. Easy to get on + off the highway. I suggest you try this type of room if you drive as much as I do .

    Property was renovated but our room has a moldy smell. Its possibly the carpet. I think all hotels should upgrade to flooring instead of carpet. When visitors have pet's it tends to leave a smell in carpets

    I was little nervous in booking this hotel because of some recent reviews, but we had a great experience. It's an older hotel, and it shows in some areas. But, the room felt clean, comfortable bed, pleasant staff. The pool was still closed, though that didn't matter to us. Overall, a good deal for a very short stay in Spartanburg.

    I tried to cancel my reservation within 12 hours of making the reservation and Expedia followed up with the Comfort Inn & Suites 4 times and they never gave in. My child's cheer team had to pull out of a competition because of injuries and they showed no grace or kindness. I even asked for a credit and they didn't agree to it.

    The room had a musty smell and there were splatters of an unknown substance on the wallpaper near the bed. The curtain was falling down and didnt fully keep the light out. The room directly across the hall had a condemned sign on the door. Didn't give us a “safe” feeling. The front desk person was very pleasant.
