These are scam people stay away from them, the options they give have dual options they can give you either or and the property will never help given you are booking from third party, the property folks are rude and not helpful. Stay away, also not a 4-star it’s a 2star motel. Doors don’t close, bathroom had water issues.
- 1/5
The door to our room was falling apart and it had to be slammed very hard to lock. It kinda looked like it had been kicked open. The house keeping didn't give us replacement coffee pods or cups and there was no coffee or refreshments available in the lobby and on the 2nd day and a dirty towel was left on the bathroom floor. I would not stay here again for a fraction of the price.
- 4/5
The property's location is perfect; it is a renovated motel. The bathrooms are old, feature bathtubs, and need attention. The room entrance doors are damaged—you have to push hard to open them. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a woman with a bad attitude; the staff is not friendly. The hotel lobby is nice, as are the common areas, but the beach area is tiny.
- 3/5
There are a few areas that could be improved. The Wi-Fi was unreliable in the rooms and around the property. Additional ice machines on the first and upper floors of the marina-side building would be very helpful. For boaters, marina services were limited during our stay. The Dockmaster was not available every day, and there was no marina store or dockside service for essentials such as ice, fuel, drinks, or boating supplies. We were also disappointed that overnight parking required an additional fee for resort guests. This added cost was unexpected and detracted from the overall experience. Weekdays were very quiet, with limited activities available, and the bar closed at 9:00 PM. Most of the entertainment and live music seemed to take place only on weekends. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would maybe return. With improvements to Wi-Fi, marina services, guest parking, and weekday activities, SkyBeach Resort could provide an even better experience.
- 4/5
fun property, outdoor areas and dining areas were great! bathrooms need updating but were clean. friendly, helpful staff!
- 4/5
This location is convenient to the highway, for an overnight stay and dinner with our grandson who lives in town. We’ve stayed here before, the price is right, balanced with easy parking, the space and comfort of the room, and onsite bar. For someone staying longer, I think I could recommend for the pool (which looks lovely), and activities available. Staff are friendly, property is clean and has been improved recently, again, a good balance for the money. Restaurant is a bit over-priced (IMO), but service and food were good.
- 2/5
This property is outdated, needs a lot of maintenance as their were many issues that need addressing. Door was very difficult to close, paint chipping in room, just overly worn out property reminded me of a lower tier resort. Their was a weird odor around the property from the water making it difficult to want to relax on their beach.
- 5/5
Very nice place to relax and get away.
- 3/5
This resort was fine, but not what it is portrayed to be online. The “beach” is a small strip of sand, covered in seaweed, on a small, dirty, roped off section of the water. Very disappointing. The bar/restaurant is overpriced and the food is mediocre at best. They charge $18 a day to park in their own lot! Both ice machines were broken the last 2 days of our stay. I will say, however, that the rooms are clean and the pools are great. I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
This is my third day at the property. We had a little hiccup at the beginning of our trip, but was corrected. We had an upgraded room that was very beautiful.
- 5/5
The property is beautiful I felt like I was in a tropical paradise. You never have to leave because there’s plenty of stuff to keep you occupied there. But if you care to check out the surrounding areas of St Pete and Tampa it’s easy to get there
- 3/5
The bed was very nice. The water in the shower was either scalding hot or ice cold so unable to have a nice warm shower. Electrical outlets would not work on the bedside tables.
- 4/5
It was run down but it was in a great location.
- 3/5
This hotel is clearly older and in need of significant updates. The shower, in particular, could really use improvement. Overall, the stay was just okay — functional, but nothing memorable.
- 4/5
I stayed here with my mom, daughter and sister for a girls getaway and it was just that. It was a nice relaxing “staycation” i would call it. We had a balcony room over looking the ocean and little beach area and it was beautiful. We enjoyed the pools and the restaurant on sight. It was a nice relaxing time we had. Would stay there again!
- 5/5
The facility had everything to make you stay enjoyable. There were bikes to ride, paddleboards to fall off of, kayaks to paddle, and they offered access to pickleball, tennis and beach volleyball on an adjacent property. There was something for everyone, cornhole boards, shuffleboard, two pools a hot tub and a closed off beach with plenty of lounge chairs and water rafts. The hotel is situated on Tampa Bay, but the gulf beaches are only two or three miles away. Downtown St. Pete is only about seven or eight miles from the hotel. So there is plenty to do if you have the time. I forgot to mention there is also an upscale restaurant with a nice cocktail lounge, a separate coffee bar and a Sky Bar which also has some comfort food which are on the premises. It's a nice place to stay.

We love this place! We are locals but feel like we have traveled to a tropical island when we stay here. It makes a great weekend stay-cation!
- 5/5
I liked the property, nice place for our needs with kids…tv hard to operate or get Netflix. Pool nice, hot tub cold. I left some things on the balcony- kids favorite clothes and 3 floatie vests on the balcony and could not get anyone to look and see if they could hold the. For me or mail them to me (I know they were there). Called three times and no help or call back. Check in was not great. Would not allow a late checkout even by 30 minutes.
- 5/5
Beautiful property that has been updated.
- 5/5
Loved the resort and the staff. Was surprised how much seaweed was on the private beach.
- 4/5
Recommend, all amenities were good.
- 5/5
I liked the proximity to the beach. They have a lovely restaurant in the bar overlooking the beach was very enjoyable.
- 2/5
The hotel looks very old, with some half-hazard updates. The private beach was small, the water was black and smelled like sulfur. The lock on my door was not working properly and I was up all night due to screaming children in the room next to us. I was told upon check-in that I had a room with a waterfront view, and that was not true. Overall, I feel that this is false advertising and I would not stay here again or recommend this "resort" to others.
- 2/5
Rude & incompetent front desk staff made the stay unenjoyable.
- 2/5
loud NIGHTCLUB MUSIC blaring all day, if you want peace and quiet dont go here.
- 5/5
Perfect in every way. I truly recommend this place specially if you have little ones.
- 5/5
It’s a very good place to rest and for the kids enjoy the water
- 5/5
Charming little motel that has nice upgrades and beautiful view. It was reasonably priced and very clean
- 5/5
We had an amazing experience
- 5/5
Not what we expected when we first pulled up. The hotel has an older look to it but looks to be remodeled and updated. Our room was clean and the staff was very helpful. They have two nice pools and a small beach area. The hotel grounds were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the sky bar and food there. There is a restaurant on the premises but we didn’t try it. I would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Room was average
- 5/5
Outdoor was beautifull
- 4/5
The AC was difficult to control. Complimentary chocolate chip cookies were wonderful and the restaurants have very good food.
- 5/5
Everything about this place is beautiful and very well maintained
- 3/5
I had difficulty parking the car. The room was not clean enough. The swimming pool was good. For me im not going no more
- 3/5
Our last day, the maids didn't even service our room. And the one night we ordered room service, it was kind of a nightmare...once we got the food, it was not good. All that aside, it is an older resort, that is maintained in pretty good shape. Great launching pad to explore Tampa and surrounding beaches.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly. I had an issue with my room. It smelled like dog. There were fleas. The staff was amazing at correcting the issue. Now my problem is was expedia, and I would like to speak with someone at expedia
- 5/5
Excellent hotel! Great pool, great beach, great service, fair price. Excellent choice. Any bad reviews are unfair.
- 4/5
This is a two story motel converted into a resort. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The restaurants were great. However the room itself needs some work. The exterior door was very thin, hollow core. You could hear everything outside like it was open. It didn't seal fully and you could see light coming in around the entire perimeter of the door. The wood veneer on the door was water damaged and peeling off. They gave us an adjoining room, which was not necessary as they were nowhere near full. This door was also very thin and we could hear everything said in the room next door. The bathroom was ok, but had mold in the shower seams. The tile floor was chipped and damaged. All that said, the sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable.
- 5/5
10/10 would. Definitely come and stay again.
- 3/5
I booked this trip with Expedia or something and when we arrived, the front desk couldn’t find my reservation. And the lady gave me a lot of attitude. So I basically had to find the emails to prove that I booked a trip there and then she continued to accuse me of being another person with the last name, Johnson. Which I’m not I’m just me. Anyway the resort was nice and kid friendly but there was some serious getting high going on in the room next to me and our whole room filled up with the smell of weed all night so that sucked and when I told the front desk they did nothing about it. Also, the fire alarm went off at 6 AM which really sucked because all I wanted for Mother’s Day was to sleep well one night. So that didn’t happen and the pool was closed and the hot tub was closed because it didn’t work and the yoga instructor never showed up for the yoga class on the beach. So I was disappointed because I was looking forward to doing something.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. The staff was super helpful. Parking does get overcrowded due to the pickleball courts and volleyball courts but we always had a place to park. The Skybar is a good place to enjoy a cold beverage and take in the view!
- 5/5
Great first time visit. Restaurants and staff were great! The Cold Fashion coffee drink was my favorite! Pools looked nice except no umbrellas for the loungers. We loved the beach/ water area! Would come back.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
My husband and I loved staying at SkyBeach. It has the perfect little beach. It was never crowded. They have beach side service for food and drinks as well as providing complimentary kayaks and paddle boards. Unfortunately the main restaurant was closed during our stay (Monday and Tuesday) but the Skybar and coffee shop were enjoyable with solid food and drinks. The rooms were cute and clean with a nice balcony. Cynthia at the front desk was an absolute pleasure. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back next year.
- 5/5
Great for adults and kids
- 5/5
Room, was very clean, extremely nice and spacious…. Also had a huge mini fridge and microwave. Outside patio has a table and set of chairs. Plenty of hammocks, fire pits, lounge chairs, swings, you name it they have it. Corn hole, shuffle board, jenga, yoga on Saturdays, live music on stage on beach. Like literally everything you can think of, so if you want a relaxing weekend you can definitely have that or if you want to party there was definitely a young crowd there to party but not loud not like a party rest definitely still family friendly. BEST PART DOG FRIENDLY ! LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing our fur babies around the property. And again still very clean. Room service in the AM from the coffee/breakfast shop got there within 20 minutes which was AMAZING! Lunch joint was good, but LUMA the Mediterranean restaurant.. outstanding. Best food ever and best staff
- 5/5
Great stay. Breakfast was a bit overpriced.
- 2/5
When we booked through Expedia, we asked for a premium water view room. When they gave us a room, it was on the bottom floor, looking at the back of a hedge. When I went to the front desk to have my room changed, they said there was none available and it was Expedia’s fault. They even had the audacity to say that the room they gave me was upgraded. The property itself is pretty nice. It has two swimming pools. One is cold and one is way too hot. We will not stay there again. They also charge $15 per night for parking, which is ridiculous because it’s not a garage. It’s outside just like any other motel.
- 4/5
Nice facility. My shower didn't work and the ac leaked
- 5/5
Loved the vibe!
- 5/5
COMPLETELY OBSESSED!!! It’s a little piece of paradise. It has all the things you need in one place! Good vibes, peaceful environment. Already planning my next trip
- 4/5
Great check in experience! Nice rooms and amenities. Restaurants amazing. Only downside was hot tub not functioning
- 5/5
Amazing outdoor areas with beautiful tropical landscaping and huge banyan trees. Lots of beautiful sitting areas and hammocks. Very impressed with the whole experience. Will definitely consider staying again if in the area.
- 3/5
I was traveling with my son who is 8 and has a sensory issue. they have a big empty area away from the beach and all the activities, I seen people fishing down there the evening we arrived and the next morning. my son wanted to fish too, we walked over there and within minutes they came and shut us down and the reason was that the dnr and police had been around looking. I explained that we bought our fishing licences and we were good to go... but still madey son put the pole away.. we weren't bothering anyone and it became a huge deal for my son! all the employees were extremely helpful except the one girl riding around on the golf cart.. even though she was standing right in front of me she wanted to tell her staff to tell us we were breaking the rules. I even knew she was talking about my son crawling on the rocks!! she was rude to the staff she was supervising & in front of guests!! she's the one who made them come tell my son to stop fishing. other than that the place is great. very fancy! there was a family staying in the room upstairs from me who had way to many children and adults in the same room!! at least 8 kids. they were noisy all night long.. seemed like pretty much anything goes there just don't try to fish!!

- 5/5
Cute renovated resort. Excellent for a little weekend getaway
- 4/5
Clean rooms, lovely to not have to go anywhere - entertainment and food options available on site. Loud air conditioner in our room was our only complaint
- 5/5
Hotel very clean and the staff friendly. Only complaint was at the beach I cant use my cup with my tea but people can smoke Marijuana, leave that nasty smell everywhere.
- 5/5
Perfect spot! Staycation vibes for locals!
- 5/5
Everything was lovely. We were hesitant about the booking and we absolutely loved everything about this place. We will come back
- 4/5
It’s a wonderful place for a weekend getaway

The outdoor amenities are amazing. The rooms look nice but the bathrooms are dated. The bar and restaurants don't offer a lot of options and it is pricey.
- 4/5
Place was great besides
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Beautiful property on the beach , definitely worth it especially with the bar and an amazing scenery
- 5/5
Clean room, super nice staff, and great experience overall
- 4/5
Everything was great except we ordered a room with ocean view and all we could see was a giant tree root… 15-20 foot across so no view! Aside from that everything was great.
- 4/5
A security person told me that I can not have the coffee cup that we have in the beach area. We bought coffee in the premises and kept it inside the Yeti cup to keep it hot. I look around and several guests have the same thing but only approach me not them. Is it because I look Asian??
- 3/5
Our family booked a girls weekend including five room reservations. Two days before our check in, my bank account was charged (By Sky Beach Resort three times) two for the same amount, then a third for a separate amount. Mind you none of these three charges matched the total on my Expedia receipt of purchase. Due to this unusual activity, my bank flagged the charges as suspicious & froze my debit card. Had I been only charged the amount on my Expedia receipt, the payment would have gone through flawlessly, as the money was in my account to cover the costs. Due to this situation, when it came time to check in, the staff tried to tell me my room I had reserved was no longer available, & I would not be able to get a new one. After having to show proof of the fact it was indeed The Resorts mess up, I was given a room exactly like mine that minutes before was "unavailable." I was charged full price in which I ended up having to pay a relative in cash to use their credit card to pay for the room. The whole situation was stressful & unnecessary. We should have received an apology for the three wrongful charges instead of confrontation & blame put on us for the resorts mistake. This all begin said. After all of the hassle, our family & friends did enjoy our weekend. The beach beautiful, food tasty, pool relaxing, & rooms nice & clean. We were considering booking another girls weekend, but now are unsure due to the billing complications. I hope billing fixes the problem for future.
- 3/5
When I checked in on Friday afternoon, I asked the customer checkin person if there was going to be live music that night. He said yes. I also asked him if I could extend my stay by one day. He said the hotel was full for Saturday night. As it turned out, there was no music. Also, the hotel was not full for Saturday night; I checked on-line to learn there were still rooms available for Saturday night. Just incredibly lazy responses that cost the hotel another night from me.
- 5/5
Loved everything about skybeach. Staff was amazing, luma was perfect and the private beach was the best ever. We will be back next April with a larger crowd
- 4/5
Looked forward to hot tub, didn’t know it was closed until I got there
- 5/5
Breakfast by the pool and evening drinks in the bar were both terrific. Staff was completely helpful and friendly+++
- 4/5
Clean room

We did not use the facilities of this "resort", so I will not comment on them. We had to kick the door to get it open, every time we entered, it was so stuck that pushing didn't work. I took a shower and the water continually cycled from way too cold, to almost too hot to bear. Since I had to wash my hair I had to endure 4 such cycles until I was done. The walkway that runs along the doors to each room is paved with tiles. Many of the tiles are loose and therefore loudly click when someone walks or drags a suitcase over them. These clicks are easily heard in the room. We are 82 years old and had a room on the 2nd floor. There is only one elevator at the resort and it was nowhere near our room. Our room was between 2 staircases, but we are unable to walk up stairs. We had to park in valet parking (they did not charge us the $5/day more to park in valet over the $10/day that everyone has to pay). Valet parking is near check-in, where the elevator is located. You would not believe the sound produced when the elevator opened and closed. Each time we wondered if we would make it to our floor. I was never so happy to checkout of a hotel. Calling SkyBeach a hotel is a stretch, it's more like a 1940s motel.
- 5/5
Hot tub wasn't warm at all
- 5/5
Resort was very nice and relaxing. Staff was always very helpful. Rooms are nice. I would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Old motel renovated to a want to be resort - but nicely done and clean. Not the best location, literally off highway ramp.
- 5/5
we had an amazing experience, such a gem! the property was really well maintained & the staff was incredibly kind. it was the perfect beach getaway! photos don’t do it justice. only thing I would critique was the beds could have been comfier, but it wouldn’t prevent me from coming back for the price we paid.
- 4/5
The bathroom needed updated but the room was clean. The pools were nice. Lots to do on property.
- 3/5
This resort is rated a 4-star. I chose it according to the star rating & amenities. The beach area is small but nicely cared for. There was live music only once during our 5 night stay. At the skybar the drinks & food are pricey and the food was just okay. The breakfast eatery was okay too but very expensive. The food truck and sweet cart were not open. We were told the Luna restaurant was very good but not open Sun-Tues and could not get in Fri or Sat. The biggest disappointment was our room. The waterview room we booked was not available. The room we stayed in had 2 double beds on the ground floor with the front entrance off the parking lot. The staff was nice but I wouldn't recommend the hotel to my friends.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, great location and good food.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms. Nice pools. Excellent view.
- 3/5
Not happy about: 1. had to pay for parking all days except Monday-Wednesday. 2. Sky Bar - bar and grille did not have friendly staff. 3. Room was very small but clean-comfortable double queens, no table, and bathroom was very small. 4. Coffee pot in room but no coffee station in lobby like most hotels/resorts, they wanted you to buy their very expensive coffee and high priced breakfast/lunch. 5. As for entertainment - there really was none. 6. Hot tubs were not hot or not working. Heated pool was closed off and on during our week stay.
- 3/5
This property was very pet friendly and it was a private little beach
- 4/5
Location excellent, amenities were good. Hotel room could use a refresh
- 4/5
Overall beautiful grounds. Hot tub was not working
- 3/5
Overall, it was a nice stay. It was nice having food options on site and the beach/pool were very nice. LUMA restaurant is only open on certain days. The hot tub was cold and must have not been working properly. Air conditioning unit was very loud at night. All the staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay.
- 2/5
Slightly rundown. Very motel looking
- 3/5
Not a great area and slightly run down
- 5/5
The weather turned cooler on us so the heated pool was a blessing! My boys made it point to chill in every chair & hammock.
- 3/5
Property and restaurants were very nice. Room was terrible, very difficult to shut doors, shower water temperature would go from extremely cold to extremely hot without adjusting, we reached out the first day we were here and no one ever responded back over our 4 day stay, so never had a decent shower. We did not receive any compensation. Would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Great little resort with everything you could want. Only complaint is the air conditioner was very loud
- 1/5
Also, really at 230.00 a night, there was no coffee bar. Yes coffee in the room but really, not a free cup of coffee. I wouldn’t recommend your place, ever
- 4/5
Wifi was good, staff helpful:)
- 5/5
Great place. It was like being on a Caribbean vacation.
- 4/5
A few complaints: the hot tub was out of service through the entire duration of our stay. It would’ve been nice to have the hot tub available during our stay in March when it was cooler at night. There was a surprise “resort fee” upon check-in that would be fine if everything was in working order. Also the food at Skybar was far from good. We ate dinner one night and chose not to get food from Skybar the remainder of the stay due to poor quality, however the drinks and service were great. Parking on the weekend was terrible for those staying at the resort. Due to offering walk-ins at Luna, Skybar and the banquet hall, parking was scarce for guests staying at the resort.
- 4/5
Great
- 5/5
When I pulled up I thought it looked like a standard type Florida motel but……. I was wrong. Once you enter the back of the resort you will be totally surprised with 2 really nice pools, jacuzzi, very clean beach scene, beach restaurant , gourmet restaurant and bar and a really nice coffee shop.
- 5/5
Completely satisfied with the resort a hidden little gem, the staff were all so friendly.
- 2/5
Clean room tiny beds staff was nice but I was EXTREMELY disapointed because
- 4/5
Staff was bit don’t care mode, enjoyed the stay though, parking is a looting business there. Paying high price to park within the hotel premises even after premium room charge
- 4/5
Hot tub not operating
- 5/5
Yes. No
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay. Allot of things to do for all ages. Staff was great.
- 4/5
Was decent. Pools were good seating average.
- 4/5
Would return
- 1/5
The girl at the front desk is incompetent - will say anything to get you off the phone or away from her desk. I tried at least 10 times before our stay I rang to get a 2nd floor unit as the first time we stayed ground floor and cockroaches can come in through the sliding doors that lead to the grass outside the room. Eventually spoke to a guy who said our room request was accepted. Check in came. No such thing. Downstairs and over 4 days I had to kill 2 massive cockroaches. Early check in? Lip service from the worst customer service person. I am sure they know who I am talking about and she must be related to ownership as no one would put up with that if they had to. So my wife waits around for hours only to call back in to be told rooms ready ages ago but it’s not upstairs. Bedside drawer fell off the wall - could have killed our dog or broken my foot. No sorry. No apology. We were seriously thinking about booking the entire place for an EDM or music event but will keep looking elsewhere. Such a shame. This place has so much potential. They just need to care, more.
- 2/5
The hot tub was broken. We had to pay for parking. No free coffee. No free breakfast. Our room looked to the roof. The bunkbed was wobble. Top that off with a $45 resort fee. We could have have stayed at Disney and been better taken care of. We will never stay here again.
- 5/5
really clean place and nice i enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
We had a walk out room with a beach view which was beautiful. Jamie who helped us with the kayaks was very nice and informative. Outdoor pools were nice, bummer the hot tub was not working. Downfall to the property, not enough beach chairs to accommodate guest and day pass visitors.
- 5/5
This stay was overall really great considering it was a freezing spring break. The rooms were clean and updated. All the staff we interacted with were nice and helpful. I feel like this would be a good stay to make an annual spring break trip.
- 5/5
Love the design of the lobby, the pool area, the plants and beach area were so pretty! The room was great too.
- 5/5
This resort is the perfect spot if you have kids. Perfect size pools and beach. Food and drinks were great!
- 4/5
The room was clean. The place was very nice. Amenities were updated and modern. You can tell it was an updated older hotel. The water pressure was good but the water temperature was difficult to maintain. If you weren’t careful it could be extremely hot or cold and could barely stay even luke warm. I also wish you didn’t have to pay to park on-site.
- 5/5
We had a blast!
- 5/5
Everything you want for a short vacation was right there!
- 4/5
Pool was supposed to be heated but wasnt. They claimed should be warmed soon and never was.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Very friendly and kind staff, and very clean, but I would’ve expected the amenities to have been a little bit better for the price.
- 5/5
Lovely resort! Nice pools and lots of activities- pickleball, volleyball, kayaks and SUPs. Sky Bar is cute and lively. Luma has fabulous food - a bit pricey but worth it. Beach is on the bay so no beach walking. Great location - close to St Pete Beach and downtown St. Petersburg. We’d love to come back!!
- 5/5
A short walk from the beach to a large heated pool was amazing. Paradeco Coffee is excellent!
- 4/5
I liked the private beach and amenities. The staff were all very nice and the hotel was clean. Even though the interstate was close by, the back of the resort felt quiet and private.
- 2/5
The room conditions were not up to standards. The door to the room was so bad that i couldnt push it open and literally had to be slammed closed. Shower was either hot, hotter or hottest and times with no cold water
- 4/5
Be aware when booking this resort on Expedia/Travelocity, ect. We booked and paid for a water view, upon arrival we were given a view of the pool, they called garden. The first desk rep said they did not have anything left and that expedia often over books them, he offered me a 100$ credit to the restaurant, we were booked for 3 days. We were not planning on visiting the restaurant so he said I should speak to the manager in the AM. She was not as friendly as the gentleman the night before and a little combative but I understood since I was the second person in line with the same issue. She simply said I booked a garden view and asked me to prove I did not, She said they were completely booked so there was nothing she could do. I had to then ask for the credit which was already offered to me the night before, she did give it to me (not the woman before me tho). Also, read carefully your receipt from Expedia, although it states all fees are included, they are not. We had to pay the resort fee when we arrived. The property was clean, the gardens and beach were beautiful. The amenities were nice but there were charges for all equipment (25$ for pickel ball rackets). I would stay again but I would just confirm my booking and fees prior to the stay.

Very nice place. Pet friendly.
- 4/5
Everything was great however the bed felt like we were sleeping on concrete.
- 4/5
Clean room, good staff, great location. Having a private beach was great. We didn’t use the pools because the weather was too cold.
- 4/5
Amenities and location were a plus and sky bar was clean. Room was standard has a nice larger TV. However, bathroom was outdated and shower water temperature was not consistent which was disappointing.
- 2/5
We booked four nights expecting a true beachfront resort with water views. After one night, we left and moved to another property because the experience did not match the price or expectations. There was no meaningful water view — our room faced the marina and a red brick complex across from it. The property feels like a renovated motel being marketed as a resort. We were placed on the ground floor and could not open the blinds because people could see directly inside. There was no privacy, and the marina gates were not locked. It was very noisy. The walls are thin, and you hear neighboring rooms and outside traffic. The hotel sits directly under a major highway, and outside noise carries into the rooms. It did not feel peaceful or safe. Several basic things in the room did not work, including outlets and the coffee machine. There was a long line each morning at the only café, and no meaningful restaurants or amenities within walking distance. We were also charged a resort fee, which is hard to justify given the limited amenities. The marketing does not match reality. Read recent reviews carefully before booking.
- 5/5
Loved the vibe there. Super clean and friendly staff
- 3/5
To start I was charged twice and was given a room that was sold to me as water view, and it wasn’t water view unless you went outside and stood on tiptoes. Our room only got cleaned 2 times during the week because they kept coming around 5:00 when we were getting ready for dinner. Two days we sat on beach and by pool and wait staff never came out to take orders. I went up and made a lunch order, staff brought it down to us and then never came back. The extra cost for everything was also a bit excessive. Parking was $125 for the week, and it was a large parking lot, and if you wanted a cabana the cost was $250-350 per day. I paid less than that at The Ritz in Bermuda. Simply wasn’t what I expected.
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 4/5

- 4/5
The amenities and grounds are wonderful! We loved the sky bar and beach chairs on the bay. The grounds are well maintained and newly updated. I took off one star because the restaurant and front desk is understaffed, also there is no room service. Bathroom and rooms are dated but clean. I would come back!
- 3/5
Also, I was surprised when we pulled up to the resort to see it's a motel, not a hotel and it looked dingy from the outside. However, with that said, the other side of the resort was quite beautiful. The landscaping, the beach, the pools. And the servers at the beach and the Skybar was great, the staff was working very hard but remained pleasant and friendly. Good food, good drinks. If we were in the room type that we booked and was expecting, this would have been a 4-5 star stay, but instead it was just okay. It's was a "you get what you pay for" experience.
- 5/5
The room was clean and had a great view of the landscaped grounds and the bay. The pools were beautiful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
- 1/5
the “beach” is a marina with mud water, hot tub was under maintenance, paid 70$ for parking and had no where to park every night of our 4 day stay due to volleyball league. we informed the staff several times about this issue and even talked to management, all for nothing to be done about it. the staff said the volleyball league is “supposed” to pay for parking but there was no one enforcing it. manager was supposed to be calling us about the situation and it’s been 5 days and i have yet to hear from them this resort is under poor management.
- 5/5
Excellent place!!! Clean, great staff!!! We ar very happy with this service !!!! Everything was amazing!!!!
- 5/5
awesome place
- 5/5
We were pleasantly surprised as we had no idea what to expect. Will happily recommend to others. Patrick Moriarty
- 4/5
Great facility. Wish there were two comfortable chairs in the room.
- 4/5
Yes clean room
- 3/5
Room phone did not work and couldn’t get through to front desk or anyone. Mold on inside sliding glass door ceiling and locks were broken on it with only one safety hook lock on first floor. New restaurant Luma was absolutely excellent though and would give five stars.
- 4/5
Room was very clean. Staff was so so. Not very welcoming. Also they checked us into a lower grade room even when I showed them that we reserved a better one. They said it was all they had available. Very strict on the 4pm check in and 11am checkout. We didn’t even have time to use the resort amenities.
- 5/5
Luma is a great restaurant
- 1/5
We requested to speak to the manager several times and the 3 days we were there the manager never attempted to reach out. It was disgusting to have to shower with water backing up (which we just couldn’t do) and it was worse that the hotel did nothing about it! Would never come back
- 5/5
A quaint spot of heaven! We loved our stay. Beautiful and clean private beach. 2 pools and a hot tub. A great coffee shop with breakfast. A beautiful dinner restaurant with amazing food. We loved the beach bar. They had good food too and their staff was fabulous! We had a room facing the beach with a small balcony. A close drive or Uber ride to anything yet you could just hang here too. Nice staff. Young valet was a great kid! Only thing I would ask is to have the floors in the rooms mopped more during our stay but I never asked so that’s on me. We’ll definitely be back!! 5 stars all the way!
- 3/5
Our stay was just Ok. Not the best location. The large pool was not heated (very cold), it was recently remodeled, however, they skipped remodeling the bathrooms. The sinks and showers are old with a new shower curtain. The service is difficult, as in it’s very hard to get them to pick up the phone. Room service is ok, just to go items in plastic and paper bag delivered to the room. On a positive note, the restaurant on site, Luma, is good for dinner. As far as breakfast goes, it does offer healthy items, but a little too frou frou for kids. Not that the hotel can control the wind, but it was very windy, so going in the ocean was definitely not an option and sitting in the beach was very windy.
- 5/5
Great resort! Amenities were great , rooms a bit outdated. Front desk guy could have a better attitude.
- 5/5
The front desk staff and valet are phenomenal!
- 5/5
The grounds were very nice with wonderful amenities, and the view is beautiful!
- 1/5
Door didn’t work, staff walked in while still occupied the room, the volley ball took 30 minutes to track.
- 2/5
The room did not have the view I expected and the heated pool was in fact not heated … very unhappy with no heated pool. We spoke to the staff about it and nothing ended up happening. We also had an unexpected $400 charge when we first got there for “hotel fees”. The stay was okay but did not meet the expectations I had.
- 5/5
Our stay was fantastic. Enjoyed the amenities on the property the private beach and really liked our room layout.
- 5/5
It was an Amazing experience. 100% Recommended.
- 4/5
Lots of trees, shrubs, on the water scenery. Housekeeping was very good daily. Most motels will not clean your room unless requested. These ladies straightened our room daily, and were very accommodating.
- 5/5
Solid spot just off the highway. Weddingtaking place that evening, place was nice.
- 4/5
Building is a bit old as are rooms. But location is awesome.
- 4/5
Great cute place
- 5/5
Me encantó!!!!!
- 3/5
He put us in an ADA room next to the gym and coffee shop. we didn't need an ADA room and told him so. He declined to relocate us saying he had nothing. we stayed 3 nights. The place was a ghost town. Empty pools, empty beach, not a fully booked hotel. He just didn't feel like it. AC unit was rusted out. Killed giant roachlike bugs near bed.
- 5/5
This was a same day quick decision to look for someplace in St Pete. Great search! Price was last minute excellent, front desk was very kind. Had a hot tub so we could relax and an outdoor casual food/bar where we could watch the water. Perfect end of a day!
- 2/5
At least the coffee was great!
- 5/5
Such delicious cookies in the lobby.
- 5/5
From check in to check out impressed with the staff and amenities. Great private beach with the Skybar right on beach. Rooms clean, only draw back was the bed was uncomfortable but otherwise it was a great place.
- 4/5
The room was basic and very clean. Food, Staff, and Entertainment were excellent! Easy access to everything!
- 5/5
Staff is super friendly!
- 5/5
Room clean bed comfy staff friendly
- 5/5
Place was great and the guy who checked us in was super helpful !
- 2/5
Can't get my refund from canceling Paid for canceling insurance
- 5/5
Very nice!
- 5/5
Great amenities, great staff
- 2/5
The Staff was rude and treated us horribly the pictures online make this place look amazing but In person this place looks so different I was in shock and unhappy with my stay it felt like a motel and not a resort it was dirty I have so meny complaints. I would suggest don’t stay here. Don’t waste your money.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful at this fun little resort. Rooms were cute and it felt private even though near a busy road.
- 3/5
Nice place, nicely remodeled room. Only reason for 3 stars is because a manager kicked us out of the lower bar area, with no one around, for smoking. She said the only smoking place is in the front of the property. Makes sense if someone complains, but she was being a Karen. Not going back to this property.
- 5/5
Room was beautiful with a great view.
- 1/5
Reached out to customer service on Expedia and also within the hotel for support as toilets did not work and it was not clean. Did not get a response, nobody really cares about your issues. Parking is strictly enforced before you even park or know where the front desk is.
- 3/5
Television has limited channels, and guide for television was non existant.
- 5/5
The grounds are impeccable, the heated pool is legit warm, the beach was lovely too! The kids had fun playing beach volleyball and exploring around. All of the staff, was super nice! The beds were comfortable but on the smaller side.
- 4/5
Nice ataying in the mRina buildgibg.
- 5/5
Great healthy breakfast options with Gf and Df available
- 5/5
Perfect location. Lovely grounds. Nice staff. Great amenities. Wonderful coffee place. Loved everything about it and will go again with the kids.
- 5/5
Sky Beach Resort is a little gem in the midst of suburban St Pete. Beautifully renovated and well appointed ted, the star is the beach/ resort area. Multiple seating options on beach and off, two pools (one heated) and a hot tub, lush landscape and easy access to everything you need to escape from the hectic pace of life. Our small but adequate room was sparkling clean, with a fully updated bath. Beds reminded us of the European style- quite firm and slightly shorter than what we are used to but comfortable as needed. I highly recommend this beautiful little hotel/resort on Tampa Bay. Bonus was the view of the Sunshine skyway bridge in the distance.
- 3/5
The property behind the resort is beautiful & a lot has gone into that. The same should go back into the rooms. While half of the room was redone, the bathrooms not being redone made the whole room feel “less than” in my opinion. Bathroom looked cheap. And it wasn’t just looks. Temperature of the shower was very inconsistent between almost scalding hot & freezing cold, without touching the actual dial, which was frustrating. No bar or liquid soap at the sink, which we asked for in our 1st day but never received. Also, quite a few paver blocks on the outside were also loose, pulling up when we walked on them, which contributed to the “old & worn out” feel. I think in time if these are changed, we overall experience would be much better.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Nice vibe, very clean and fresh. Great outdoor spaces with pool, music and beach bar. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Late check in was great, amenities wonderful, staff attentive, very clean, food in Sky Bar and Coffee Shop was outstanding
- 5/5
This hotel is off the beaten path of St. Pete Beach proper, but is in a lovely location. I would consider it a hidden gem! The grounds are immaculate and the rooms are thoughtfully appointed. A great place to getaway from the craziness of the main part of the beach. The property has everything you would want or need. And Paradeco, the coffee shop on property, is OUTSTANDING! I would highly recommend this resort!
- 5/5
Jay was the best. Great guy.
- 4/5
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The fire pits and hot tub were great spots to relax at night. Lounging on the beach was excellent.
- 5/5
The food was good. Service was excellent!
- 4/5
Hidden gem. Great for kids. Warm pool even in December. Fire pits. Jenga. Beach. Dolphin views on Tampa bay. Comfy pool and beach furniture. Nice restaurant. And great places to hang all over the property. Only downside , beds were small.
- 5/5
We had a water view room and the view was spectacular! The staff were extremely friendly. Rooms were always refreshed daily, but there was some inconsistencies in ensuring toiletries and proper number of towels were left.
- 5/5
beautiful beach
- 4/5
Lovely resort still recovering from the hurricane. Very peaceful, beautiful location.
- 3/5
The outside grounds area was fantastic. Lots to do, nice bar, beach with canopy beds, and recreation items (paddleboard, kayak). The room was very dated with stains on the curtains, and ants all over the bathroom sink.
- 3/5
Don’t stay in the corner upstairs room , you have to walk around the whole resort to go anywhere .
- 5/5
Great experience. Pretty clean, safe area, plenty to do, music and lights were a fun vibe. Would stay again. Highlight of the trip was the dolphin sightings every day
- 3/5
I didn’t know about the $50 resort fee! Place is great!
- 5/5
It was ok. Not a place to just stay. We had no time to take advantage of the amenities. Wish there wasn’t so high of a resort fee.
- 1/5
Staff was lovely but the rooms are in need of updating and you can hear everything going on through the walls of the neighboring rooms.
- 1/5
the pictures are far for reality, I

SkyBeach Resort is a hidden gem! This is a great place to vacation. The resort is small and lovely. It's right on the beach. There are also two pools with hot tubs. The views are fabulous. There is a restaurant & bar as well as a coffee shop on site. The food is quite good. The grounds here are beautiful and well maintained. The whole place is great! Rooms are very clean, housekeeping staff is the absolute best! The staff here is friendly and attentive. I could live here happily ever after!! Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Resort was very clean, plenty of fun available, beautiful location and kind and professional staff!
- 4/5
The room was clean and modern, no carpets, which is always a good thing, the amenities also very good, however the downside I would like to mention is that even when the property is in front of a small beach, most of the rooms, at least the one located on the lower floor, have no direct view to the water, hence the room description when you’re booking can be misleading…otherwise it seems to be a good place to stay.
- 3/5
Place is loud Could hear the bar and people till 2am Need impact windows and better sliders Couldn’t even get in the back door. Coffee is terrible at the coffee shop. Staff overwhelmed at check in and bed not that comfortable.
- 5/5
The entire resort is spotless and so much fun. Will definitely be back and stay longer next time.
- 5/5
Amazing place! Room was amazing, doood was amazing, such a relaxing place!
- 5/5
Beautiful location. Nice veiw from the bar, very close to downtown St. Pete
- 4/5
Loved the private beach area and the coffee shop. Friendly staff. Clean rooms but need a little more updating. The one negative was that the bar by the pool area closed earlier than advertised. We would definitely go back though.
- 5/5
Alot of healthy options, gluten free, overnight oats and chia seed pudding.
- 5/5
Love this place! The property is so tropical, clean and relaxing. I can't wait to go back!!
- 5/5
The room was immaculate, and the property was beautiful. The reception area staff was very welcoming. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful resort with easy access to the water and pools. Nice staff no issues
- 4/5
Nice view, will be better the service at the bar/restaurant, not too friendly.
- 2/5
The new room was fine but definitely not what we paid for. We tried to make the best of it and went to the bar to use our credit. Service started out okay but quickly declined. Our appetizer took about 45 minutes to arrive and was lukewarm when it did, suggesting it had been sitting out. Our entrées—a soft-shell crab sandwich and a po’ boy—arrived an hour later and were cold. The staff member who brought them apologized, saying he wasn’t sure how long they’d been waiting. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, which were clean and relaxing, but later that night I received a bill missing our $50 credit. I had to go back to the front desk the next morning to have it fixed. Overall, SkyBeach Resort has great potential with its beautiful setting and amenities, but the lack of organization and inconsistent service made our anniversary stay disappointing—especially for the price and occasion.
- 1/5
Property is still going through an update from a motel to "resort". They created a small make shift beach area at the marina, No one got in the water so I didnt either. But It does have a nice ambiance. My issues began when I realized my tub/ shower did not work. The only resolve was for me to use a shower in another room. So at 2 am I had to go outside to get downstairs to the room. The receptionist assured me that I should be receiving compensation upon checkout, because they know some rooms have no water. However upon checkout we were told that they could not do anything referring me to expedia. When expedia tried contacting them, while I was still there, they refused to answer their call. Then lied and said I was compensated and was not owed anything further. I would not recommend this location as it seems compensations or refunds are only offered to people of a certain skin color while others are dismissed.
- 5/5
Very clean and attentive staff, Jamie at the kayak launch was especially nice
- 2/5
Cracks, chips, broken showers, faucets that don’t fit , gaps under the door so we woke up with mosquito bites, large tree in front of balcony…def have stayed in nicer places
- 5/5
Amazing property, friendly staff. Beach was beautiful and even saw a dolphin. Will be back
- 3/5
Extremely noisey, breakfast food choice needs updating, the concierge app didn’t work for me or they didn’t attend it so I had to call the main number each time I needed something but the staff was super nice. I’m disable so the room was a challenge and they couldn’t accommodate a room change but was really helpful with my luggage and transportation. The room was super clean, they have a blue tooth speaker for use but you should bring a charger (not iPhone), you can control the temperature of the room from your phone app also which was cool. I would stay again but not for peace and quiet but to have more of a fun time with a friend.
- 4/5
Resort was very nice - rooms clean and newly renovated - staff was 5/5 friendly - nice - helpful - overall great - balcony View was very nice - overall great stay - pool heated - not - broken heater. -then u get to food - breakfast only one coffee shop - staff great - very expensive - Starbucks cheaper - food vegan!!!! No meat - mushroom bacon!! Really disappointing - sky bar awesome views - but drinks watered down -(had 4 painkillers - not even a buzz) and again food lacking - limited menu - all frozen food - had coconut shrimp - mush out of a bag - buffalo wings - frozen out of a bag and over cooked - main entrees - just simply did not look or sound appetizing - and u could just tell all frozen stuff again - thank goodness for uber ! Over all facility 5 out of 5 - food 2 out of 5 -they just need to find a chef that can actually cook something that is not frozen out of a bag - we ate out almost every night - went to public’s for breadfast stuff - micro and frig in room worked great -- thank goodness we had a car -
- 5/5
Overall though great time
- 1/5
There was noise and construction happening in areas / rooms next to ours. The only dining was the bar and half the menu wasn’t available. The staff offered a credit to satisfy our complaints. We used the credit and then went to check out and told all this money we owe and they denied the credit! We had to go thru a whole process with management and our credit card company to fight this. I have never had duck. Bad experience at a hotel / resort.
- 2/5
Moldy smell Loud nighttime volleyball tournament on premises after 11pm
- 4/5
Everything was great except the bed. Mattress wasn't great, we could feel the springs and it sagged. Drinks were watered down. Checked in early and receptionist was awesome.

- 3/5
Old, outdated
- 1/5
This is not a resort but an old motel. I’d advise you to look else where. Crack heads stealing your money. They stole my money. Thief’s make sure you do your full research before you book this place don’t be fooled. The pictures you see are completely misleading. Expedia did nothing for us. They try to gift you 25$ credit on key cash. This place is a scam, scam, scam!
- 5/5
Our stay was perfect. The grounds are beautiful and clean. The staff was stellar! We will be back
- 5/5
If you stay get a waterview room very nice
- 4/5
Very cool property made from old style outside hotel. Small beach area with nice view of bay. Great coffee shop in morning. Staff very young with half being great and the other half acting like they didn’t want to be there.

to purchase coffee only to be told that only credit cards were accepted. I had to walk all the way back to my room to retrieve my card and walk all the way back to the coffee shop. It was not at all convenient. Everything else about our very brief stay was great. I was thinking that this was going to be like other resorts where your wristband was also an easy method of payment.
- 5/5
Love day, pet friendly awesome environment
- 4/5
Great beach views just not a lot of space
- 5/5
Great place hidden gym. Love the fact that they had two pools. I love the fact that they have a DJ and a live band. The staff is amazing and ready was super nice great hidden gym very peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Very nice place .
- 5/5
This is our third stay at SkyBeach and it wonderful as always! So glad we found this hidden gem!
- 5/5
beautiful place to stay
- 5/5
What I like the most is that it is very clean and the staff there is so friendly and aide you every step of the way. What is unique about this vacation spot is great view of the bay Beach just beautiful and the pool areas are outstanding and they got a coffee shop and bar in grill there right at your finger tips every thing you need and night entertainment on weekends and music every day of the week. Now what I did not like it do take front desk some time to answer the phone for service and there were a few things in my waterside king deluxe suite room that should have been addressed before I got there such as a few amenities that were not there to make my stay convenient such as being able to hang my clothes, to raise the bay area shade in the living room and to have a phone line in the room. I will say the the property manager was very understanding and made it right by me with accommodating me for the lost of the few things that were not there. So over all a awesome beautiful place to stay I rate it a 9.
- 5/5
We had a fabulous time at the resort. Someone mentioned in another review that the hotel doesn’t look like much from the highway but when you get inside it’s nice and I would agree with that assessment. The pools and the beach were amazing. We were greeted with welcome glasses of champagne which was an unexpected surprise. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was nice and there were a few amenities we didn’t get a chance to experience like the bike rentals and the gym but just knowing those were available was exciting enough. We noticed a few loose bricks on the second floor walkway but that would be my only criticism. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend.
- 4/5
Staff is very attentive and the rooms were clean and updated
- 5/5
We had a great time. I had no idea there would be a live band on the beach but we really enjoyed it. Staff was wonderful and the coffee place is my favorite. Can’t wait to go back.
- 3/5
Its just ok
- 4/5
The location and available activities are wonderful :)
- 5/5
We had a great time
- 5/5
Great resort!
- 5/5
Clean, well stocked, comfortable beds and pillows.
- 5/5
Being under construction at the time, the outside didn't at first glance mirror the beautiful rooms & views. Starting with the newly renovated, stunning decor, fresh smelling office which offered flavored water & fresh baked cookies. The staff all around were friendly & very helpful. Beautiful, well kept property with convenient boutique coffee shop & full restaurant on site. Both with great quality food & drinks at average costs, which was refreshing for a resort type setting. The beach is small but kept clean & has lots of seating. Pools were immaculate. Live music the weekend was enjoyable from the beach & restaurant. I'd definitively go back!!
- 4/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Great dining options and everyone was very nice.
- 5/5
To stay. This was our 2nd annual guys weekend for us. We’ve been friends for over 50 years and it’s a great place for us to hang out for the weekend. Great staff from the front desk, the bar/restaurant and the house cleaning crew!
- 5/5
From the highway this place looks pretty ordinary but just wow! Inside the pools, bar and grounds are amazing. We had a great time. Shout out to the Amazing coffee and the lovely Sandy, who came to find us with our coffee!
- 5/5
I had an amazing stay at Skybeach this week with my best friend. James at the front desk was so helpful with anything I needed, and all of the staff said good morning/afternoon when i walked by them. The pools were clean with plenty of chairs, ice water and towels available, and the beach cabanas and hammocks on the sand are so beautiful. My only small issue was I didnt have a QR code for room service, but the restaurant was steps away from my room so it didnt really bother me. Other than that, the room was very clean and nothing was broken or damaged which is all i could really ask for in a hotel room.
- 3/5
Someone slashed our tire, so need security
- 5/5
Great location, beautiful place.
- 3/5
The room was supposed to be water view and we were no where near the wate
- 5/5
Guest staff was very friendly and helped with any needs quickly.
- 5/5
We absolutely LOVED our stay there! The lady at the front desk, Marina, helped make our vacation fantastic with all her help and knowledge of the area with restaurants and things to do! Fantastic front desk service! However, we did have to switch rooms once due to a rattling AC, but they were amazing about trying to fix it and when it didn’t work, they happily gave us another room. The pool there is one of the best pools I’ve been it! Clean, relaxing and lots of fun! The private beach was nice too! The only downfall is the resort only has one restaurant for lunch/dinner and we got tired of the food really fast! There’s just so many other options in the area you can bike or uber to. Best vacation and I’d stay there again!
- 4/5
The room was super clean just the door was hard to open n close n there was no security lock on it..the food was not what we were expecting from a resort very limited menue..the bar staff was awesome n very friendly..the snack/coffee shops was good
- 5/5
Aldo, on check was so nice and helpful while still being professional! Annaleise in house keeping does an excellent job as well! I will definitely return here and stay longer next time!
- 5/5
Love love love
- 5/5
The resort was more than what I could have asked for. If you are looking for a quaint beach resort close to the Tampa River Walk. This is the place to be. The property and room were beautiful.
- 5/5
This is our second stay at Sky Beach and it was even better than the first. Awesome elevated tiki bar on the premises, great staff, private beach, cloud like bed, just everything was wonderful. We will be back!
- 4/5
This property was totally nice. Good point are Staff(reception of arrival, mechanical repair staff was mindful), safe, quiet, own private beach, comfortable space to have outdoor fun, Hopefully the facility should be maintained better condition. Terrace outside of room, Bath & shower , poolside venue was with bird's dropping.
- 5/5
It's so pretty. Room was quiet and clean!
- 3/5
We arrived and checked in, upon arriving at our room we realized it was not what we had reserved. Our reservation was for a waterview and the room we got was not a waterview. Resort did not have a waterview room so we agreed to keep the room for a refund of the $100 resort fee. Property is very nice. great pools, tiki bar, pickle ball & Marina. We were disappointed that the pools were not clean and were not cleaned over the 3 day stay. Tables were at pool area were alway dirty. At check out the resort would not honor their commitment to refund the resort fee. Nice place, Nice staff. not sure I'll return...
- 5/5
Lots to do on the property
- 5/5

The hotel was really clean, modern, & safe. The Sky Bar and pool were fun and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet, cool and our view of the water was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Great hotel, nice people, super ambiance

private beach and bar was awesome experience. the property grounds are beautiful. Try a coffee at paradeco coffee roasters!
- 4/5
SkyBeach Resort is nice but could be nicer. It’s been recently renovated but they cut corners in the showers, using bathtub over liners instead of tile. I suppose it’s to keep the overnight prices lower. The water pressure was good but the water temperature constantly changed from extreme hot to cold. The beds were comfortable. The lowest air temperature was locked at 68 degrees, which is ok but we like it colder at night. It rarely got down below 72 degrees during the hot 99-100 degree days. The old doors were heavy and took some force to open. The cleaning service was nice and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was good but didn’t offer as many seafood items that I would expect in Florida. They did offer a lot of activities at the property, which is nice. The Tampa Bay tide would leave the beach water barren at times but was predictable. Overall, it was nice, I’m just being picky.

Great location. You don't hear the highway over the ocean. Private beach was decent but not as clear as other locations. Food was great but the drinks during non-happy hours were a bit expensive. Even though itis family friendly, it would probably be better suited as an adult resort due to the lack of children's activities. Staff was amazing. Bed was very firm and the blind in our room was broken, stuck in the down position. They did comp us two free drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. Rooms echo so you heard everything. Overall good resort for the budget.

I have stayed several times always a good experience.. Rooms are clean.Staff is great.Property is very well maintained. Only issue was lack of a better food menu and any surrounding amenities

Enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff were friendly from check-in to check-out. Amenities were great, worst thing was having to wait to use pool due to possible storm. But all in all a great stay and would definitely return.

Nice coffee shop, nice view

It had rained for several days and the odor was horrible. The beach itself appears to be one they have made and is nice. You will be charged an amenity fee when you get there that covers chairs, towels, paddle boards, etc. grounds are beautiful. NO elevator.. been out since hurricane. This seems to be an old Florida style motel with only 2 floors so … They have remodeled the rooms and rooms are nice if you don’t have huge cockroaches like we did. When we brought it to their attention the answer was we spray. The sky bar next to pool is really nice and drinks are reasonable and staff great. You can order bar type food and it is decent. The grounds and amenities are great. Rooms themselves are overpriced. If lowered the nightly rate I would stay here again(bring something to kill the cockroach’s) Housekeeping was wonderful. Clean towels every day. Yes it has a beach but not in the gulf. Stinky water.

This hotel discriminates and refused to allow my son to stay there despite having paid in full and given a debit card for any other charges. They refused to let my son check in after charging his card and left my son stranded on the July 4th weekend with nowhere to go. Horrific experience and horrible staff. The GM and front desk GM were rude and unprofessional and refused to give my son his paid for room based on their inaccurate understanding of the law. Overpriced to begin with and horrible customer service that discrimantes. Worst experience ever with a hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

My son had his wedding there and staff was extremely supportive and professional.

Nice location and view, but the dinning options are very limited. I found it odd that a resort didn't allow you to charge food/coffee, etc. to your room.
- 4/5
It was nice but the beach was real small and a long way to and from your room. The people were very friendly. Would I stay there again No.

Unfortunately, the front staff double charged me for my pet stay. They said they'd figure it out, but after staying for 2 nights they still hadn't fixed it at check out. Now they are saying to give them several more days to figure out how to fix their double charge mistake.. After I physically went to the front desk to check out atleast an hour early, the same front staff forgot to actually click the check out in their system or something, because they then sent me a text saying I "missed check out." Overall, convenient location and very pet friendly. But I would not come back until their staff figures out what they're doing, and they refund what they over charged me.

It went bad from the start. First, we arrived earlier due to our flight coming in sooner. Marina said she was going to help us out the early check in fee and talk to the manager to get it waived. We explained to her that we had already paid it and she said she would look into it. We went to the beach and relaxed. At noon, our rooms were not ready, despite paying the early check in fees. Once we DID get into our rooms the front desk called to tell me they would not be waiving the early check in fee and we already had a discount by using Expedia (???). We took a nap and were awoken by a band playing, apparently they don’t mention that your room will be next to the stage when they “upgrade” you to the marina rooms. You’re not by the bridge AT ALL despite what the photos show. The smell was so bad when you walked out that we could barely breathe. The bathrooms were disgusting and the shower had things I’ve never seen before growing in them. The food was overpriced, the front desk (mainly Marina) wasn’t helpful at all, but the wait staff were amazing. The beach is incredibly small (again, angles are everything with pictures). The rooms are also like motels, not inside like a hotel so there were random people wandering around despite the “security” at the entrance.

Great location, close to beaches and restaurants. The resort was beautiful and clean with so much available to do! The ground were clean and well kept. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I love that each room had a balcony or outdoor space. So much entertainment available too. I would definitely stay here again!

This place is a gem! My room had a balcony that was directly on the water with a stunning view and a hammock. While not entirely private (you could walk around the building on the sea wall), each unit had small privacy walls which were perfect and did not impede the view. The best part was the restaurant/bar which was on the property. The staff were so friendly and sweet, my grilled shrimp were delicious, and my bartender (I think her name was Brittney, I have a horrible memory) was the absolute best! I have already recommended it to several friends.

Amazing place, we stopped there on our way back home and we were pleasantly surprised, we’re definitely coming back!

Great place for a getaway

This property was nice! A great little resort-style hotel. You can tell that it was refurbished from an older hotel. They tried to give it a trendy, modern feel. All & all our brief stay was really nice. The restaurant food was delicious, great lively bar area with live music. The layout was nice with pools & shuffleboard. One complaint is that there was no elevator near our 2nd floor room. The stairs were rough for a person with back issues. The main complaint is the beach water. Honestly, it was smelly & gross! The main reason we wanted to stay here was to swim in the ocean. If you want to swim in the beautiful ocean, this is NOT the place. Aside from the lack of elevators and the unacceptable "ocean" water, this really was a nice place.

Lovely hidden gem.

It’s an older property but it’s very clean & they’re in the process of remodeling after the hurricanes last year. The staff (esp Aldo at reception) was always so pleasant & extremely accommodating towards everyone. The rooms are nice, always kept immaculate by housekeeping & there’s a private beach, 2 pools, a restaurant/bar with music & good food. It’s very safe with an attendant at the entrance plus a huge parking area. We loved our stay & will come back again!

This property is not as photographed. Do not stay here, when comparatively you can stay on the beach (St. Pete at tradewinds) or terra verde for the same or just a little more. This place was a dump

I will just state my experience with the hotel and let other make their own conclusions. We arrived to the hotel at 2am due to flight delays and at 8:30am we wake up with a drilling noise. The drilling was so loud that it was hard to ignore it. When I go out I notice that the drilling comes from the room right below. I immediately go to the front desk and the lady said that this was a temporary/ emergency issue with plumbing and that they apologized. When I get back to my room so notice that every room in the floor below ours was being remodeled. We went to have breakfast and when we came back the drilling continue. I approach the lady at the front desk again and she admitted that she lied to me and that the drilling will continue the whole weekend. When I demanded to see the manager to get a room change or a refund the lady kept saying that she needed more information but the manager was busy. She, hours later, then called and said that they will only charge the previous night but I needed to pack my things as soon as possible. I had to leave my business conference to pack my things and find a new hotel.
