Our booking was confirmed via email, however when we arrived at 7pm for check-in we were informed that our booking was canceled without our knowledge.

I would recommend everyone to this place of stay Landscaping cuts on Saturday mornings and construction work done early in the morning typically weekdays. The place is being rejuvenated via sounds of construction on site.

The property was clean and quiet. The suites are basic but provide for comfortable lodging. Probably more suited for longer stays as opposed to just an overnight.

Very impressed. It was a one bedroom condo essentially. Big bad big room big bathroom kitchen with a full living room. Super clean.

To be totally fair we got bumped to the sister hotel due to over booking. Still a “Affordable Suite” but 15 minutes further away from the event. Room was filthy and it smelled bad. They had the exhaust fan on but it didn’t help. The dresser drawer was broken off and laying in the closet. After I used the bathroom towel I realized it was dirty - not stained - DIRTY with curly hairs attached to it and on the floor. The lampshade in the bedroom was coated with dust. I took it outside and beat it off. No hairdryer and the bed was squeekie and mushy. I could go on and on. I would not have stayed but there was an event in town and no where else to go and it was 9 pm

Location was great!! Staff was pleasant. There wasn't any noise from traffic. Bedroom doesn't have black out shades or curtains so be prepared to wake up with the sunlight. Stayed on 2nd floor in a suite, thankfully I was able to climb stairs for this visit.

We stayed here for one night last minute for a half marathon. I was surprised at how spacious the place was! Clean and quiet. They even left 2 water bottles and snacks for us. Didn't interact with front desk in person due to arriving after hours but they called and gave detailed instructions on how to access our room. Would stay again.

Stay was fine but we had no idea this places closes around 5 pm. Luckily lady answered the door and told us where and how to get the key. Other than that it was clean and comfortable. Big plus are the full kitchen, and very reasonably priced. Will stay here again when in the area.

Very convenient location, close to the emerald mine and downtown Statesville

Just an overnight on return trip from Florida. But the property was clean, well kept and the area was quiet. I had a late arrival but they were very accommodating and gave me explicit instructions for getting my key. It's a couple of miles (5) off my route but I would certainly stay again. Totally met my needs and expectations.

The bed linen didn't fit over the mattress and the room smell of pine sol.

The staff called to inform me they were leaving at 5pm and how to locate my key, which was simple enough. When I booked online, I booked a room with one bed and a pull out couch for my child. When I spoke to the person on the phone to request the linens for my daughter to sleep, she informed me that she did not have any extra pillows and that the room she put us in did not have a pull out. My child had to sleep on a tiny loveseat sized couch that is literally bolted to the floor that we covered in the provided sheet and a very thin blanket. When we arrived, the smell of air freshener was so strong; they are clearly trying to cover up a stale odor of this very aged property. We arrived around 9pm and there were police who came to the property for some sort of disturbance with another customer, although I do not know the reason. When I pulled back the cover in the bed, there was a brown stain on the sheets and we could hear shouting and banging throughout the night. Lastly, there was a thermostat in the room and the air was set to cool 68° but it did not go below 73° the entire night, which is much warmer than we prefer to sleep. While it certainly was a cheaper option, there are similarly-priced options that I would consider far superior to this property.

Got switched to another location last minute which was 18 miles out of my way. Checked in Friday, Saturday I asked for clean towels for Sunday and Monday and never got them until Monday morning after one of us already showered.

It had a very unique layout which I liked a lot. The suite was great. Clean, quiet, comfortable. I can’t say I didn’t like anything. I liked everything.

The suite is like a little home away from home. The staff members are polite and accommodating. Nice touch with the welcome package. There was nothing that I didn’t like.

Only stayed one night but this was a great value. Only complaint was the mattress was too firm.

Angie was awesome with getting us settled in. And we're currently still staying there and she's awesome. She definitely needs a recognition for her willingness to help her customers and making sure they are comfortable and if they need anything she provides all the information needed. Our room did not look like the picture. Other ratings and descriptions are a joke. Nobody to greet us a 9pm at night. TV did not work.

No shampoo or conditioner, no hair dryer, no ice machine. The refrigerator had an empty ice tray. Definitely need to have more than one tray. The kitchen had no coffee maker, only one fork. So if you plan to cook bring some plastic forks. Sofa was soiled. Had a large spot where it looked like something had been spilled on it. Bed was uncomfortable. Was given checkout rules - strip the bed, clean the kitchen, take out the trash. The front desk isn’t open on weekends so if there’s a problem they can’t be reached. It goes to voicemail. We would not stay here again. Matter of fact we left a day early.

We canceled the reservation after seeing the outside of building and the surrounding area. It reminded me of a getto boarding house. You should not be associated with this operation.

First off, this is not a typical motel, but is more of an extended stay. The office was never open while we were there except for check-in. We had to leave a day early, so weren't able to get a refund for early check out. To check out there are requirements otherwise a $50.00 fee will be charged-- strip your bed, place the sheets on the floor, put the other bedding in a pile on the bed, clean the kitchen, take out the trash, place all dirty towels on the floor. There are no amenities such as a coffee pot, shampoo,or Kleenex. No ice machine. Basically, once you check in if you need anything or have a problem, you are up the creek without a paddle. On a positive note it was clean, quiet, and in a good location.

Spacious, apartment-like room with a small kitchen attached to the front room, big bathroom, smaller bedroom. Comfy bed, four fluffy pillows. Would book again.

This was an awesome little home away from home. It was refreshing to have that amount of space instead of being cramped and confined to one little room. Very nice place!!!

The stay was decent . Nothing i would do longer than two nights . Receptionist was very sweet and pleasant, check in and out was very quick and easy. But very upset the first location cancelled the booking on me the week of my event due to overbooking. Be careful and try to book through the actual sites when you can. I was moved to the next location with no problem thank goodness they had space but the room downsized the bed which didn’t decrease my price when i felt it should have. All king beds were taken, we were grateful that a room was available but dogs barked through the night and there was a man yelling in the middle of the night that startled us. Dust everywhere and i killed 3 insects in one day . Highly suggest a thorough clean & to reconsider a refund of the cost by bed. Overall the stay was okay . We went for the hot air balloon festival

Large rooms with two TV’s

Inexpensive, near activity I was attending. Excellent restaurant nearby (Katana) Overpowering chemical smell from cleaners used. Office closed when we arrived—when we called the phone number listed, staff person said she was 45 minutes away on an emergency. No coffee pot or pans to cook with in kitchen, until we asked for them. Fortunately we were out for most of the day and only there to sleep at night. Couches worn out and dirty—had to cover with towels to sit on them.

This property was impeccably well maintained by the staff. We were going to Emerald Hollow Mine for the day, and though not luxury, it was well-suited to an overnight staff with my husband and our 16 yr old grandson . It was an easy 20 minutes from the mine, with fast food, gas and other amenities close by. Great value. There was a stove, refigerator and pull out couch. A tv in both the bedroom and living area. A kuerig coffeemaker and an iron (prolly lonely) in the closet. It was extremely clean! And we were able to bring our dog for a reasonable $25 surcharge. Large area behind the hotel to walk him. I felt safe and comfortable. Maybe an oversight, but only 1 dinner plate and 2 sandwich plates. 1 coffee cup. Bring paper plates and cups if you are cooking. And S&P. Arrange for extra linens beforehand if someone is staying on pullout., there wasn't any in room. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap, they only provide a tiny shampoo and little bar of soap. None if it was a big deal., but good to know

I was expecting to see a hotel/motel kinda place. This was more apartment style sat back away from highway was very quiet & very clean bed was very comfortable & customer service was great!!! Only complaint I have is there is designated smoking area & wasn't told where there should be something posted for this other than that great stay!!!

Our rooms were very clean, it was quiet and affordable. The only complaint I had was needing a room on the ground floor as my husband has Copd and he had a lot of difficulty climbing the stairs multiple times a day. we really enjoyed our stay. I hope we can come back for another trip in the future

What I liked was that there were 2 tv’s available, good access to restaurants nearby, and everything appeared clean, but when walking barefoot, our feet were black. I really had hoped for better.

Apparently the people who were in the next suite are permanent renters. They were up all night and slept in the daytime if they slept at all. They were noisy and the walls were very thin. Not every night was bad but 3 out of 6 were rough. There were other residents who seemed to be permanent that were outside in their cars often. It felt uncomfortable. I haven't had these issues at other AS properties and we had no major problems during our stay but I would not stay at the Statesville AS again.

I wish I could review the stay but after planning my vacation over a month in advance, I received a call two days before check-in informing me that they canceled our stay because the people who were in the room before us extended our stay. It was a huge difficulty to find another hotel with a kitchen and ended up costing us a significant amount of time and money to find another place to stay last minute. The manager was apologetic and tried to find other accommodations with another property but that went nowhere.

The room was perfect. They pay attention to all the little details. Definitely will recommend and stay with this brand again.

We started off a little bumpy but are happy to report that excellent customer service turned this review from 0 to 10!! I would absolutely recommend this location and plan to visit it again!!

We arrived after the office had closed. The hotel (motel. really) clerk called us to tell us of of how to get the key from the lockbox. Because we arrived after she left (4:30) we didn’t get any of the toiletries noted that we should have received. We had questions about how the dish TV worked, but SHE WAS GONE.

We were very pleased with our stay. The unit was clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable. The towels are great. The shower was awesome - water pressure was good and the water was hot. The only suggestion we could make was to check the items in the unit. We didn't need the items BUT there were two of us and only one knife and fork! Housekeeping needs to check this.
