The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean.

We had our dog with us and were delighted to have a room with an outside door near a grassy area. Bed was comfy and we had a great night’s sleep. Very satisfied.

The rooms were large, comfortable and quiet at night.

First of all the air conditioner did not work outside. Air was in the 95 a room. Temperature was 85 very dirty look like it never been clean call the front desk. They couldn’t help us cause the manager was gone. Maintain people were gone and did not offer another room overall was a very poor experience.

I got “insurance”on my visit. They did not honor it and I was charged for two nights and didn’t stay for either. Do not stay here or use Expedia for planning a trip.

It was close to eating places. The morning breakfast had good choices. A few hot items and cold items to choose from.

We liked the location and the staff was efficient and friendly. There was used plates of food in the room frig. , the hair dryer did not work and the bathtub ap was leaking.

But it you like your room and stagnant, you're in the right place. On the second night of my stay, my heating and cooling unit went out about 12:30.. I waited an hour to see if it would come back on. It did not. I called down to the desk to have someone check it out. The gentleman from the front desk came up and looked at it, and confirmed it was out. I asked to be compensated for the evening; he wanted to move me to a new room at 1:30 am. At that point, I just wanted to sleep, so he said he'd leave a note for the manager. Checking out the next morning, I repeated all of this to the checkout person. She offered an apology and said there was no maintenance person on staff at that hour, which is understandable. There was no offer to make it right. I sent an email to the manager, explaining the situation. She was sorry about everything, but again, no offer to make it right. I responded, letting her know that in my mind, the staff did not resolve the issue. I haven't heard back from her. All of this to say that customer service is lacking from the top down.

Good location for us when we were biking the canal trail. Restaurants in short drive away. Breakfast was very good. Front desk very helpful and personable.

Everything was great except they were busy the entire weekend and only had one elevator operating. Other than that, friendly staff and great breakfast. The breakfast was the reason we returned from a previous stay. It wasn't a luxury resort breakfast but very above average for a hotel. The hotel isn't new or luxurious but very clean. Front desk staff and cleaning crew were very friendly. Only one elevator working was annoying though.

Overall good stay. Lots of issues, but they were resolved quickly (and I feel most were caused by the last people who stayed in our room). Check-in was quick and painless. Got to our room and discovered that the fridge didn't work. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes to check it and had to get us a new fridge. While he was gone, we discovered that the TV also didn't work. When the maintenance guy got back, he discovered that the fridge and TV had been unplugged from behind the entertainment center. The AC had also been set to 62 by the last people, so the room was freezing. All the lamps were also Unplugged (which you'd think the cleaning person would've noticed). Otherwise, very quite for being relatively near the airport. Room was spacious, though oddly laid out.

Check in was not nice, the guy was not nice and very unpolite, the bathroom had old tile that had a lot of dirt and stains.

Just had a quick overnight before a flight, but it was great.

The place was outdated and definitely needs a paint job. They don’t even bother cleaning the rooms… washroom was dirty .. never got fresh towels after asking multiple times. Just disorganized and needs a major facelift.

The staff were very kind and the room was pleasant with comfortable beds. Sadly the "Smart TV" we were promised was not actually connected to the internet, the shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty, and the exit door to the stairs was very sticky, a bit of a safety concern. On the plus side, they kept the breakfast out a bit longer than promised... Very helpful for stragglers. At this price point I do not expect perfection and we were perfectly happy with our stay!

Place needs a slight renovation. The elevators is slow and doesn’t seem to work half the time. When I was there, there was no hot water for hours. The breakfast is okay. They can definitely upgrade the TV programming as well. The staff wasn’t rude but not very attentive either.

From the very comfortable beds, to the carpet that DOESN’T FEEL STICKY in the bedroom room, the newly remodeled bathroom, the various selection of breakfast items, multiple parking spots, regular restaurants and fast food restaurants around the area and the crew and owner are so friendly, helpful and polite, it’s all fantastic especially considering the price per night. The hallway and the entire space we’re in, smells so amazing (lemongrass and lemon, I believe) because they DON’T ALLOW SMOKING. Best decision my family and I made YET! Thank you for making our stay so marvelous. We would recommend it to anyone 100%!!

We travel back home to Syracuse often and have stayed at many different hotels. The Thompson Road Comfort Inns/Suites was absolutely the best experience we’ve had. Welcomed by Sandy at the desk who was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We needed 2 rooms and were placed next to each other. Our handicap accessible room had a wonderful bathroom. Breakfast was very good, hot, and kept replenished. All staff members we encountered were hard working and this property was by far the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in. Its location is right off the thruway with easy access to Routes 690 and 81. We will absolutely book here again!! Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

Very nice stay in a spotless and comfortable room. Front desk greeter Sandy was exceptionally helpful and kind. Hotel is set back from road, quiet and plenty of parking. Two fast food places adjacent to property. Two elevators, although one was out of service. Only negative was skin lotion dispenser empty in our room--hotel is apparently out of it.

This was a nice hotel to stay at. Good location and nice parking. Check-in was easy and the rooms were clean. I found it very quiet and a nice size TV with plenty of channels. The breakfast was good, fresh eggs, sausage and home fries. There was also a bunch of other things to eat like boiled eggs, bread, bagels, cereal, coffee and juice. Plenty for anyone. Check-out was simple. Nice place to stay at, I'd definitely stay here again next time I come back to Syracuse.

Hint: when transiting through the traffic circle, stay in the outer lane. The turn into the hotel property is where the McDonalds is. It's easy to miss, which means you have to turn around and go back through the traffic circle.

Where do I start. Me and my Wife selected this hotel due to the proximity to where my Wife was having surgery. Upon arrival I mentioned this to the staff and noticed that the elevator was broken so I asked if this would be a lingering issue since my Wife wouldn’t be able to climb stairs

The hotel is very outdated, however was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast, was hot and the gentleman working kept the hot food coming. The proximity to what we wanted was great. We did not spend too much time in the room but would stay again if we were coming through Syracuse again.

Nothing more could be done for our noisy neighbour fighting screaming and constantly slamming their door. However we were on the 4th & top floor and could clearly hear the conversations coming from outside vehicles arriving leaving their doors, and there was a reeking smell in our room.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. After arriving after midnight, I needed a late check out. He arranged for me to stay until 1pm. I was able to get some much needed rest!

We also had to kill a total of 3 bugs, 2 were spiders. The bathroom was the most surprising part. It was new, well maintained, and kholer brand. I feel like all motels should know it’s a cardinal sin to have cloth furniture. The room had 2 chairs, one brown leather and super comfortable. The other green cloth. That chair had stains, white stains on the sides and some stain down the middle of the seat part. Wouldn’t touch it if they gave me the room for free. Overall the people were nice, the stay was short and sweet and I have a pretty positive experience of the property. I would say, the drive in, is quite tricky. The turn is right between a Taco Bell and a McDonalds. If you miss the turn you have to do the roundabout again. But not their fault.

We were upgraded to a bigger room with a king bed, loveseat, ottoman, sliding card table, a large comfortable desk chair, etc. The room was very clean, 3rd floor and quiet. The check in/out people were very nice. Breakfast was fine. Coffee needs to be stronger. Overall, we would stay there again.

Bathroom was large with plush towels. Breakfast was first-rate: eggs & sausage, cereal, waffles, more. Wifi was fast. Solid construction and location of building meant a quiet place to sleep. Fast food places nearby. Didn't notice any recycling cans etc but overall an excellent place to stay.

The breakfast was okay. Liked that it had eggs and sausage but the heater mustn’t have been working because they were cool. Also the potatoes were edible but dry and also cool. The room was nice but the LVT flooring was damaged and cool. I think that flooring might have been a good experiment but carpet is warmer and quieter making for a more cozy feeling. Parking and cleanliness was fine.

I’ve stayed at this property on two occasions (last year during Black Friday and again this year). Last year I was in Room 322 which was renovated and clean. This year I happened to be in Room 420 which wasn’t very clean and there was a bit of a smell upon arrival. It wasn’t overly bad but it did smell somewhat like cannabis so I left the bathroom fan on during my stay. Other than that it was a great stay and hope to be back again next year.

Property was clean and allows dogs in specific rooms. Perfect for a stay over the holidays!

It was pet friendly which was very convenient since we had our dog with us. The room also had a door to the outside where our car was parked which was nice.

Didn’t like the fact that the elevator was still moving when the doors opened. My hotel rooms deadbolt did not work. The hotel had a really odd smell through the entire hotel. But the front counter staff was extremely friendly and nice.

The room was ok, but dated. The a/c did not push any cool air. The grounds had not been cut for a while and there was a lot of garbage and animal feces throughout the grounds. Staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet looked pretty decent.

Booked a double room, they gave me a single room. Front desk clerk was not flexible, she didn't want to do any work, just kept saying she can't help me. I used to work in a hotel, she refused to even look or try to accommodate our stay. End result, we left the hotel and stayed at another hotel. Front desk woman didn't seem phased, didn't care. Blamed everything on Expedia.

While the stay was fine, if I were traveling alone, it would be okay, and I would have no complaints. It was upsetting that the accessible bathroom was not safe. The bar next to the toilet was not installed properly, and there were no bars in the tub, which was slippery, and an able-bodied person would be extra cautious. For the price of $260 for one night, please do not advertise accessible rooms if they are not fully accessible. It is simple: I would have chosen another hotel as I don't expect all hotels to meet my family's needs.

Hugely disappointed in the reservation process thru Expedia. I was unaware that while making my reservation the dates I needed were overwritten by Expedia and as such I did not have the needed reservation when I arrived. HOWEVER...the staff worked with us, cancelled the reservation made thru Expedia and then made a room available to us. The only downside was there was only 1 room available which made our stay there inconvenient for 3 adults as those pull out sofas have lousy mattresses, not at all comfortable for anyone except maybe a 3 yr old!!! Many thanks to the staff at Comfort Inn for their kindness.

Good area. I liked the cleanliness and the easy access to the interstate. Breakfast was good. Hard to figure out the TV. Never did get to watch anything.

The room was clean, the front desk was pleasant and approachable. The constant doors slamming up and down the hallway echoed nearly all night in the room. The air handler either blew ice cold or blazing warm - it was difficult to find a comfortable medium - and it had unpleasant smell. Parking was limited due to capacity.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and really terrific. The room was really wonderful: clean, comfortable, large, and very pleasing.

Service was exceptional! We were there three days, two nights so staff changed several times but every single person was professional, personable, and a joy to talk to. Our room was very nice, clearly upgraded bathrooms, and the beds were like clouds! Those pillows!!!!!!!!!!! Breakfast was delicious! It included waffles (make your own in the waffle maker), scrambled eggs, sausage or ham, home fries, assorted bagels and breads, cereal, yogurts, and fruits. If you don’t like any of that, you are surrounded by fast food places and not a long drive from downtown Syracuse. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Traveling to Syracuse to visit a friend attending the University. Location was perfect, ten minutes from the Southside Campus. Parking lot was very well lit with plenty of spaces available. Staff was very friendly even at 4:30 in the morning when I checked out. The room was exactly as picture on the web sight. For the value it was exactly as expected.

I really do not understand what game are they playing. This was not my first time with similar experience. What benefit would you get by doing this to your customers?

Breakfast was very good, bathroom was very nice- clean and felt luxurious with great lighting, large showerhead, sliding doors on a low- threshold shower and thick towels. However, mattress seemed worn down, sunk in the middle. The room had a very bad smell (garbage??)and an exterior door which was not tight-fitting.

It was well cleaned and orderly. The continental breakfast was really good as well. Unfortunately the bed was hard and I don’t like hard beds.

We had booked this hotel as we were taking a fall trip for our anniversary to see the fall colors. My husband had a medical issue that prevented us from being able to make the trip. We had purchased the insurance in case anything was to happen. We called 2 weeks prior to our stay to cancel and the comfort suites refused to refund our money and the insurance only refunded half the amount. We are very disappointed in this hotel and will never stay at a comfort suites again.

Bathroom was cleaned, but bed wasn’t made. Had to repeatedly sign into internet. Carpet in room felt unclean. Flourescent Lighting in room is harsh.

The WiFi was unreliable. Netflix was not available even though the tv remote had a button for it. The shower tile seemed dirty and it got cleaner as we showered. Hmmmm. There were spots on the corner of the comforter that bothered me. My husband said maybe it was ink but I worried it was blood. The people working there were very nice. The amount of sinks and tables being thrown away in the back of the parking lot made me feel like they were under construction and I wish I knew that before I booked the place.

The was objectively the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The shower door didn’t close, the towel bar fell, the bathroom floor was filthy and it wasn’t stocked with enough towels for two people. When I spoke to the staff they were dismissive, defensive and rude. They are taking advantage of university weekends and gauging people. Horrible.

I mean. I get it’s a cheap hotel. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom needed work. Moldy and missing caulk in the shower.

Room was not clean when arrived. Specifically stopped by front desk the next morning requesting the room be cleaned. When we returned to the room that evening, the bed was still unmade. Very disappointing. Will not stay here again.

The staff at the hotel is nice enough but there is a smell to it - a dampness. The couch in our room had mystery white stains. Could be paint, could be something else. The fold out couch is basically a mat you would find at the gym. It’s cheap enough so I feel like it falls under the getting what you paid for category. Fine if you don’t want to spend a lot.

Our room had a few areas that werent clean. Shower had an open soap with hair on it when we first arrived. End table between beds not clean.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to take pride in their work. The room was way bigger than I expected and was very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds and a nice shower, I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean Fitness room being renovated

The comfort inn here is a solid choice for value and convenience located directly off the interstate. The McDonalds and Taco Bell are both avout 50 yards away of you are good with that as a basic meal. Some better restaurants are a little ways away.

The front desk person was outside when we arrived, vaping & on her cell phone, a personal call. Ten minutes later when we left for dinner, she was, again, outside vaping & on a personal call. It looked like there was some work being done to remodel the hotel, but they do have a long way to go. I discovered when we got home, that my white socks were black on the bottom which, naturally, makes me question the cleanliness of the room. FYI, this is only the second negative review I have given in many decades staying at hotels.

Free parking and free breakfast and convenient location.

We like this hotel a lot. It's quiet, close to major highways, and clean. There were a few problems though. The television volume was so low we couldn't hear what was being said. The elevator was also slow at times. When we arrived, the computer system had gone down, although it was quickly fixed. We had to use a password to sign in every time we went on the internet. Overall, though it is a very nice place to stay.

The entire facility is older and is currently being updated. Not a bad place but needs some maintenance which does appear to be happening. The smoke detector in our room went off at 8:30 pm as we were just settling in after a 12 hour drive. We were informed that it was probably just in "test mode" and then dismissed. When it went off again at 12:30 am the night clerk told us there was nothing he could do to fix it other than move us to another room. When we got up at 6am, the alarm was still sounding off in our original room. No apology from management other than the night clerk who also gave us 2 free waters...

We had to find a new hotel because the hotel we had reserved was absolutely awful. This hotel literally was a life saver. It was spotless, staff was absolutely amazing and we just are so thankful rooms were open. They had fresh water and coffee available. Even though construction was going on, they still managed to have everything tidy! Thank you so much.

The reception area reeks of cigarettes and room smelled faintly of cigarettes. In this day and age no hotel should smell like cigarettes and it is unhealthy for anyone to breathe let alone smell smoke particles in their bed completely unacceptable.

The bathroom floor was so dirty. The room smelled like mold and the sheets were moist from the humidity in the room. I had a two day stay but ate the cost and checked out as quickly as we could.

Room was very damp, toilet was broken, water didnt get hot in the shower. I would not stay at this location again. Over all poor experience

It was alright. The room had a strong bleach smell which was off putting.

Had a first floor room and it had a second door that lead to the parking lot, no need to walk through the hotel.

The room was very clean and tidy especially the bathroom. The suite was very roomie. The hotel is close by many restaurants and stores. The only thing that bothered us was the smell of the elevator.

It was so convenient off the highway, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. They are doing renovations but the place was very clean, still. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel was easy to get to off interstate. room was clean and spacious but they are doing renovations all over the hotel so that was a little disappointing.

The hotel was very nice overall with a great amount of bed space. Though, there was a few large bugs and the coffee machines did not have both options of decaf and regular ready. It was pretty comfortable and clean. (Breakfast was tasty with good selection)

A nice hotel for college drop off. The room was extremely clean. The AC was a little loud but otherwise a comfortable stay. Breakfast was full with hot food options (Belgian waffles, eggs, potatoes, sausage) and standard other fare (cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, muffins, bread assortment). They hotel seems to be undergoing renovations and will be back!

Wish I would have thoroughly read the reviews before I booked this property. Our room was dingy and in need of a makeover. The chair in the room collapsed the moment you touched it. They did not service the room despite our request that they do so. The one washer and dryer available for the entire property looked very old and janky. I would absolutely not stay at this property again.

The room was so moist that you could feel it on your skin, hair, sheets, floor. Even after switching rooms it was the same. They need dehumidifiers in each room. Got no sleep both nights due to being so uncomfortable. The staff were nice but did nothing to fix the problem or make it right.

Disappointing fitness center

- woman made an error checking us in. She changed our room bc we had a dog with us but didn’t change it in the system so at around 1-2 am- we had other guests enter our room. It was very scary for us to be awoken out of a deep sleep to a man entering our room and I’m sure bewildering for them. I used the treadmill in their “gym” which seemed to be an old conference room that was more of a storage room now with dirty mattresses leaning against the walls, broken bed frames and other broken furniture and miscellaneous items, stored right next to the gym equipment which consisted of a broken treadmill, an old but working tread, an old elliptical and a bike. The hotel has not been maintained but they seemed to be in the middle of updating the bathroom vanities as there were old vanities (about 100 or so) strewn outside the hotel on the grass. Seems more like a motel than a hotel. Linens were dirty, rooms had tile floors that were filthy.

Very small fly inside the room

The rooms were very nice and clean. The lobby looks a little run down but it is also clean.

Clean and affordable. Not much in the surrounding area, other than a McDonald’s and a Taco Bell, but 15-20 minutes from Syracuse University so a convenient option if you are dropping off a stident, parents weekend, other SU activities.

The hotel staff was very nice . room was clean. But bathroom had small hair line crack in wall at the floor and at nite I went to use the toilet and I turned the lights on saw to roaches run. I didn’t. Keep any of my belongings in the room after that . Spent 1 hour shaking and cleaning my stuff out and out in in my car. Other than bugs it was a nice stay
