Reviews
The hotel is praised for its great location, particularly for those attending events at Amalie Arena. Guests generally appreciate the spacious rooms and free breakfast. However, many express frustration with the valet parking service, high parking fees, and hidden charges. Some also mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance in the rooms and common areas.
- Great location, especially for events at Amalie Arena
- Spacious rooms and free breakfast
- Valet parking service and high parking fees
- Hidden charges and issues with cleanliness and maintenance

Love the hotel room size and breakfast
- 4/5
Rooms clean pool not so much multiple items broken within the facility
- 4/5
Breakfast was good. Price to park and other fees were expensive.
- 4/5
Great price for location. Very clean, great mirror for getting ready, a lot of space in the suite we had. Staff was ver accommodating.
- 5/5
Very clean, quiet, good location as far as walking to the arena or trolly. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great amenities and love the poolside drinks.
- 5/5
The staff was exceptional; friendly, kind, helpful, professional!
- 4/5
Clean, but a bit dated. Staff was great!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Well managed and friendly staff
- 5/5
Great location, staff was very friendly, great breakfast and easy checkout.
- 5/5
Great location for Benchmark Arena.
- 4/5
The rooms are just ok- clean enough in the rooms. Common areas, elevators, pool all need to be cleaned a little better. All hotels need to stop adding the annoying “resort fee/service charge”. Just add the cost to the room. No one wants to be nickel and dimed when on a trip.
- 5/5
Staff were courteous and prompt response
- 4.5/5
Great location Park price
- 5/5
Breakfast was a very good.
- 0.5/5
We liked the location and accessibility to downtown. We liked the proximity to riverwalk and the trolly. We liked the pool area and the time allowance for kids to swim from 6 am to 11pm It was dirty, the roof had leaks, the ac didn’t work well in the room, the toilet was running all night and we had to call the front desk , the building was hot … they had many hidden charges , the TVs were awful
- 5/5
Proximity to the convention center and trolley. Small pool
- 1/5
Cockroaches in my room!
- 3/5
Cockroaches in the room
- 5/5
Close to downtown Ice machine did not work on 17th floor
- 5/5
Everything was great even the staff
- 5/5
Very nice stay
- 5/5
Room was very nice
- 5/5
Nothing the hotel could do for the inebriated guest that vomited in the lobby.
- 3/5
Helpful staff
- 4/5
Staff, including parking, were pleasant, competent and helpful. We had to leave a day early and desk person was great. Parking required giving a credit card number to an organization I know nothing about. I prefer to pay Hilton and let you deal with parking. Setting room thermostat at 67 only got the room to 72. You have an over ride regulator You are saving money at the customers' discomfort.
- 5/5
Great stay. Staff was good. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was amazing.
- 5/5
Staff very friendly and helpful ….
- 4/5
Location was perfect for attending a concert at the Benchmark arena! Got put in a room on the 20th floor. Elevator wait times were difficult. Also the ceilings at the 20th floor were in terrible condition! Sheetrock missing and only tarps installed. Could see there were no attempts to repair them.
- 5/5
Restaurant on site. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms with sitting area. Excellent hot breakfast. Valet parking expensive and slow
- 3.5/5
Very long wait to get car from valet
- 5/5
Very reasonably priced for a hotel so close to the Benchmark Arena.
- 5/5
Fresh breakfast, wonderful attention. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Convenient to where I needed to be. Nothing
- 5/5
Clean room. Beautiful property
- 3/5
Ceiling on top floor where we were was falling down. Tarps up to catch water and debris. Room service failed to replace many items and each day had to call. They also don’t pick up phone so have to go through app or front desk and delays.
- 5/5
Only stayed one night but it's very nice & well maintained hotel! Staff was great & room was top notch. If ever in town again I will definitely stay there.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Would absolutely stay there again whenever I’m in the Tampa area. The staff were so kind and helpful. Amazing pool with beautiful view. Overall had a wonderful experience
- 5/5
Staff members were wonderful! Rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious!!
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful the breakfast was amazing.
- 5/5
Good location
- 5/5
Location Price
- 3/5
Hotel stays should be convenient not inconvenience you take my truck for valet parking, which is normal at any hotel just to turn around and tell me I need to download an app put in all my credit card information just to receive my truck back. Guess should not be inconvenienced to download apps for valet parking. What part of valet is that?
- 5/5
Wonderful caring staff. Beautiful hotel
- 3/5
The breakfast was fine but not exceptional. There was an Omelette station, but they were cooked on a grill which makes the eggs very thin, and they were cooked in too much oil. Omelettes need to be cooked in a pan for the right thickness. There were many food items on the buffet which was good, including fresh fruit, yogurt, bread choices you could toast, oatmeal, some hot foods, waffles, etc..
- 5/5
I have a protein breakfast (diet restriction, so I could eat the ommelette only. Was good and fast) all good
- 5/5
Great place to stay and extremely convenient to the convention center
- 5/5
Nice seating / lounge area - Starbucks on property nice asset; staff readily available in assisting with luggage and retrieving vehicle.
- 5/5
The grounds were clean area felt very safe. We ate at the hotel restaurant food was good, we had breakfast once it too was good. Enjoyed the pool. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Walking distance to the convention center. The sky bridge was a plus
- 5/5
It was great!
- 5/5
Loved it clean and convenient to walk to restaurants
- 5/5
Will definitely go back!
- 4/5
We really enjoyed the location which was so close to restaurants and convention center. Breakfast was great and staff was very welcoming. The night staff was our only issue, they didn’t really want to be bothered.
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
Breakfast buffet had good options.
- 5/5
Staff helpful location perfect for the downtown event.
- 2.5/5
Rooms are old ac didnt work had dirty sheets
- 5/5
Love, love, love this hotel! Beautiful property, helpful staff and great location. The breakfast was phenomenal! A lot of good healthy choices and fully stocked the entire duration of breakfast. Fabulous stay!
- 2/5
il a excellent emplacement très pratique pour aller voir le match de hockey de Tampa, mais l'hôtel est très médiocre, je dirais 2 étoiles
- 3/5
Cockroach in room and check in very delayed. Had to speak to manager after waiting 1.5 hours after check in time because kept being told my room wasn’t ready yet. Surprisingly he found a room that was ready when the check in person told me it wasn’t. Location was good though.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 2.5/5
one man at reception was particularly helpful the coffee at breakfast wasnt even airline standard. Abysmal
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay. The area was perfect for date night. The hotel was super nice, the breakfast bar was hella good and staff were nice. The valet got a little crazy but I’d still give it a 5 star
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 4/5
We chose this hotel pre-cruise, for the proximity to the arena and cruise terminal. It is a quick 3-5 minute walk to the arena. There is trolley stop is just out the front entrance. Check in was quick. The room was huge, and clean. The included breakfast had many options, and included an omelet station. The pool area was a little dirty, and the pool has some noticeable areas in need of repair. The bathrooms were not always accessible during pool hours. The attached restaurant was convenient, food was great.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great
- 4/5
The hotel was overall very good—clean and comfortable. However, I had trouble sleeping because the bed was quite noisy. Every time I moved, it made sounds, which was a bit disruptive.
- 5/5
The breakfast was good, everything was clean and the staff was great. I would stay again.
- 5/5
Outstanding breakfast
- 5/5
Awesome Bay view room with a very nice and scenic pool area. Walking distance to the Benchmark Arena and the Waterfront. Will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Clean room plenty of space nice pool
- 3/5
It was an average experience until I saw bugs on my bed. The Taste Restaurant was exceptional and the only thing I liked on the property. The pool was nice and the water was warm. It is a very convenient location to downtown which is why I picked it but it did not exceed my expectations. I would never stay there again. The valet is very expensive. You cannot rent a car and stay at this hotel. The Teco Train stop is nice to go for a stroll and explore. It's free and right in front of the hotel. Those were the only decent things at this hotel. Nowhere for kids to really explore and enjoy. Lobby is small. Nowhere around safe for kids to run around. Cars are constantly driving in and out right by the entrance making it dangerous to cross over.
- 4/5
Only problem was the room being cleaned. Left cleaning rags on furniture, only emptied one trash can and the most awful thing...they didn't replenish the coffee!
- 5/5
Great Staff and breakfast!!!!
- 1/5
When i looked at my receipt. They charged $322 for smoking that did not happen
- 3.5/5
Great location. Nice room arrangement with separate bedroom, living room. Needs updating! Old timey shower/tub combo - difficult to climb in/over tub side. Mold around tub faucet - yuck! TV was less than ideal- no menu or guide, no descriptions for programs, no way to know exactly what you were watching.
- 5/5
Location was excellent. No complaints.
- 5/5
Loved our stay here! 3 min walk to Benchmark Arena which was also handy 😊
- 5/5
The room was ready, even though we checked in 30 minutes early. The pool was very nice and overlooked the bay. Along with complementary cocktail hour in the lobby there were some poolside samples of drinks. There were also poolside snacks, including burgers, pizza, and chicken strips for the kids. Breakfast was good with eggs made to order omelettes waffles muffins, toast, bagels, bacon, sausage, cold, cereal, free coffee. If you prefer Starbucks, there’s a Starbucks conveniently located in the lobby too. The downtown Tampa embassy at the convention center is conveniently located with mini walkable destinations.
- 4/5
This hotel was great, very friendly staff, free welcome drinks and a huge breakfast buffet. There is a Starbucks located right in the lobby. A few drawbacks were the lack of parking - we came for the hockey game and were forced to valet the car or park multiple blocks away and walk with our luggage. Valet pricing is NOT $45, they increased the price but have not updated their website. They also dump additional fees and taxes on top of it. The air conditioning in the room is set to go back up regardless of what you set it on. My husband and I both woke up sweating.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice and clean. We really enjoyed the happy hour and breakfast. It was a perfect distance to the arena to watch hocky. Having to valet for parking. It is very convenient but not cheap. The valet team was very friendly though.
- 5/5
10/10 This is one of my favorites places to stay when I’m in Tampa, it’s clean the staff is nice and the breakfast buffet is very good
- 5/5
Great location for the convention center, phenomenal breakfast! Very nice staff. Nicely appointed rooms. Pool is very small but has a good deal of seating around it and in it. It’s in a nice location on the 3rd floor outdoors.
- 4/5
The Taste restaurant inside the hotel is a great place to hang out. Love that the hotel offers a free happy hour every night which includes snacks, beer and wine. While the breakfast buffet included in our stay did have several options unfortunately none were gluten free or dairy free. The room was spacious with a great view of Amalie arena. Pillows however were very uncomfortable and the bathroom was beginning to show its age. Nice pool area just wish the food and drink stand at the pool was open. Overall in a good location right in front of Trolley stop #10.
- 5/5
Our experience was excellent from the start! Everything from check-in, room & accommodations, Lobby, staff at Bar, Omelet station attendant, breakfast selections....nothing could have been better!!!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
I didn’t eat or drink on the property but the location is right in the middle of everything. Very easy to get to the river walk and all of the local restaurants and bars.
- 3/5
We stayed here when our daughter took the bar exam so it was just due to convenience. The breakfast buffet is what you would expect. The "complimentary evening reception" they could make so much better as it is very limited on beverages/snacks. Most people skipped it and went to the bar. I found that requesting something from housekeeping was next to impossible. We did not want our room cleaned just request towels and the housekeeper (Beatu) told us no. We then called the front desk.. We never got those towels and went to borrow from the pool area. Speaking of the pool it is extremely small. In my opinion it has more of a motel vibe. We would never go back by choice.
- 3/5
Overall, it was an adequate hotel
- 3/5
The location is great and the staff really top but the property is in need of a refresh. Our room had a musty odor and there was rust on the edges by the shower. It was clean but for the price, I would expect nicer rooms.
- 5/5
Its a fantabulous place. Loved the stay and everything about the hotel. The reception guys was really nice, welcoming and guided us with everything. We had booked rooms with views and it was wonderful. The beds were super comfortable. The place is super clean and very well maintained. The pool is amazing too. The breakfast was amazing with live Omelet making stations cooked to your liking. The spread a elaborate. I personally haven't seen a spread in the US like this. Most of the international hotels do so I was pleasantly surprised. They have valet parking too. If you plan to go in and out and drive around then valet parking is good since its $40 a day. We parked in a parking garage next door since we just walked around. Would highly recommend this place.
- 2/5
The parking space is not always available if hotel is sold out. We had to park two blocks away.
- 2/5
The sheets were not clean, the pillows felt old and bunched up. I usually take towels when I travel so I can’t say much about that, but the room looked like it’s in need of some renovations. The staff was super friendly. Keep in mind they will put a $100 hold on your credit card for any service you request, I didn’t request anything but I only got $60 back…I’m not sure why and I’m not going to worry about, I will not stay there again.
- 5/5
Will stay there again! Staff very helpful too
- 3/5
We requested a water view and were told we were being upgraded. We arrived at the room and it overlooked a parking garage and smelled like cigarettes. Not impressed. It served its purpose for a place to sleep after a concert. For over $500 we paid I sure wouldn’t expect my breathing to be stuffed up by cigarettes!
- 5/5
Very good breakfast and happy hour. View of the city was nice. Pool is nice. Valet was fast. Staff courteous.
- 5/5
Clean room. Really enjoyed our stay
- 4/5
No
- 5/5
The front desk staff (Rob) was very kind and friendly. Thanks for the hospitality! Will definitely consider staying at the embassy suites again.
- 5/5
Great staff, nice area to walk around! Meals included breakfast!
- 3/5
Room was really cold and heating system wasn’t working.
- 3/5
The hotel was generally ok, except that half of their elevators did not work. And since this is a Convention Center hotel, lots of people were staying there who needed to go to the same events at the same time. Spending 15 minutes just to get to the elevator was not fun.
- 1/5
Unfortunately, I was unaware of 500 high school students that would be staying there when I booked. They ran the entire hotel. It was a horrible experience. 17 minute wait for the elevator because they stop at every floor and hold the doors. Management done nothing to control the kids. Beautiful room, but never again!
- 4/5
Room was very nice. Clean she spacious. Happy Hour was greatgreat except for
- 1/5
When we arrived at the hotel they had cancelled our reservation. They said my credit card didn’t go through but it was the same credit card that I had used to book the rental car and every other hotel on our trip. It was a Saturday night and this hotel and every other decent hotel in the area was fully booked. It took us hours to find a room at another hotel and I wish I could include a photo here of the room we ended up in for the night. I’m not a guys who needs a lot or anything luxurious but the safety of my family was definitely a concern were we ended up. I expected my room to be available when a booked at a Hilton hotel through Expedia.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Really nice hotel . Very clean and spacious rooms
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
The location if you are attending an event at the Benchmark Arena is perfect. The staff was pleasant, accommodating and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious as always at Embassy Suites. It is also nice have a restaurant/bar on the premises that stays open late so you can grab a drink and food after the event and not have to fight the crowds at other local establishments.
- 3/5
The room felt very worn/beat up. Needs a full remodel. Sink drain at wet bar looked dirty / stained. Bath tub had hair that wasn’t ours. Lobby furniture very worn /stained. The afternoon happy hour reception is very basic, warm tap beer and well drinks with chips a salsa. The restaurant/bar (“Taste” I believe is the name?) was good for drinks. All the staff was very friendly and professional so at least that was a plus. Location is good for downtown/convention center.
- 5/5
Room was spotless and suite is well maintained.
- 5/5
Love the room, and it was clean.
- 4/5
Great stay. Extremely convenient walk to Benchmark International Arena.
- 1/5
At the arrival to our hotel. The room that I had reserved through Hotels.com was not the one assigned to me. I reserved 2 qween beds with bay view and was given one king bed. I explained and they moved things and got me a 2 qween bedroom with city views which was the only thing they had available.
- 5/5
Excellent location with helpful staff
- 4/5
Good spot nice location but elevators need fixed
- 5/5
The whole experience was better than expected and a very short walk to the Bocelli concert
- 3/5
The room was in good condition except the mini fridge did not work and the room I booked was not available. The property could not adjust the rate because they said it was booked through a third party. The staff was very nice though and they refunded my room service meal and destination fee. Also, no one came in on the second day to give clean towels etc. so we had to ask for that. Overall, we had a good experience in a very good location.
- 3/5
Room was musty smelling and had not been vacuumed well big hair balls in corner of living area and bathroom. Pull out sofa bed was basically springs and mattress appeared old caving in the middle when you would lay down was not expecting this considering what was paid for 3 nights. Housekeeping and maintenance were prompt when needing something and valet was excellent. Hotel I’m pretty sure was sold out while we were there with a big volleyball tournament all weekend and concert that Friday so with that being said only 3 elevators working out of 4 which would sometimes leave waiting 15/20 min to get on. Location was wonderful walked or rode the street car most of weekend. Check-in was easy and fast.
- 1/5
Someone tried to break into break into my room Wednesday night and I caught them and the front desk staff treated it like it wasn’t a big deal.
- 2/5
staff was not supportive. check was difficult and I had to leave a day early and they said they can't return the payment for that day. front desk will take for ever to answer the phone
- 4/5
It was a very nice room
- 5/5
Location was perfect for our stay
- 4/5
Cons-Our first room had no hot water. I chose the room so it would be in the corner. They did promptly move us. They said it was an upgrade, but the new room although having a better view was loud. Could hear the music from the outside bars into the wee hours. Choose wisely when you choose a room.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet--not only inside the hotel. There was no street noise, despite being located at one of the busiest areas in Tampa.
- 1/5
expensive stays, abusive parking fees, nearly $50 per day PLUS A $30 DAILY FEE FOR "DESTINATION CHARGE" NEARLY 80 PER.DAY TO PARK. WILL NEVER! EVER
- 5/5
Great hotel with short walk to Benchmark Arena
- 2/5
Then add that we were given a room that wasn't even cleaned! There was literally black hair al over the shpwer, tub, bathroom sink. Sink outside of bathroom wasn't draining. Will not stay here again. Definitely not worth the cost. We've paid half the price for better
- 5/5
I
- 5/5
The staff was outstanding
- 5/5
Great Upscale hotel.
- 3/5
I don’t appreciate being sold Hilton honors crap while I’m trying to relax in the lobby. I was approached 3 times in 10 minutes. Twice by the same guy who somehow didn’t recognize me. I won’t be staying at Hilton again bc of this
- 4/5
Very helpful staff
- 5/5
Room was great! Employees were super great!
- 5/5
yes
- 4/5
The rooms were very nice, clean. The only thing we didn’t like was being approached 3 times about joining Hilton Honors. Housekeeping also knocked on our door at 9:30am to see when we were leaving. Starbucks on property is nice. Plenty of food options around to walk to.
- 5/5
Great room, great service and the breakfast was amazing.
- 3/5
I was told to stand in the check in line after I had checked in the day before and my key card was deactivated. I explained I already had a room, but they didn't care. They also seem to have issues answering calls. The location is great and I was upgraded to a lovely room with an amazing view so that helped make things better. The hotel is walking distance from restaurants and stores.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff.
- 1/5
Over charge for everything. Double charges. Hang up when we called. Never again
- 5/5
We were able to get an early check-in and the breakfast is absolutely amazing! Made to order omelets. Location is perfect. The hotel is a bit older but was clean and the staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Location and staff. Breakfast was excellent
- 5/5
Yes.
- 5/5
Needs a 10
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and great! The breakfast and daily cocktail hour was fantastic. Staff was very attentive. Everything was within walking distance and a lot to do. I would stay again
- 5/5
Great location Valet team great too.
- 5/5
Good service, clean and variety of choices in breakfast
- 5/5
Room and amenities excellent
- 5/5
None
- 5/5
Very big clean room, friendly staff. Free breakfast and drinks for happy hour were very good
- 5/5
Everything was excellent! Best breakfast bar and comfortable beds
- 3/5
Room was good, hotel was neat and clean, everything was good until extra fees were added. Was unaware of an extra $30.00 fee for something that could be spent in the restaurant. Should also have free parking along with valet parking to choose from.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the happy hour....very small choice of food items. Other than that, we were very pleased. Definitely will come back!
- 4/5
The breakfast was good,
- 5/5
Beyond expectations
- 2/5
Absolutely neglected, no shampoo no conditioner tv didn’t work, toilet flush didn’t work towels were not changed. Front desk managers were not helpful. Really pathetic they should ashamed to be open
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Tampa. Trolley stops outside the hotel and takes you all over town for free. Waterfront dining across the street
- 5/5
Great hotel! Really beautiful location. Valet parking only though, so don’t book if you don’t like that.
- 3/5
Bad smell in the bedrooms.
- 3/5
Great staff
- 5/5
NICE ROOM. GREAT STAFF.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Staff, of course. We felt like VIP’s. The breakfast was a FULL breakfast. Could we have a shelf in the shower? Two thumbs up for this property.
- 1/5
First room smelled like mold so i asked to move. Then I get hit with a smoking fee when I only sprayed aromatherapy essential oils. They said it was a open flame with smoke. Booked at $488 for two night got charged over $800 leaving. Thats not including the valet only parking that is $45 every night there. The rooms don't have heat and do not go above 71. There are no stairs so you have to take the elevator no matter what. No apps on the tv so you have to be in 2001. All together just a waste of money for a "good" hotel. A dog pissed in the elevator from the 19th floor down and we had to enjoy that because there are no stairs to get out from for the "safety" of guests. Marriott is close just go there.
- 2/5
Air conditioning in the room wasn’t working at 1am. Front desk staff, Emma and Josh, were quite rude and less than helpful with the situation. Finally after a half hour of phone calls with the front desk, the maintenance guy came and replaced the air filter and acted like that was going to fix anything.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good, the hotel is beautiful with a lot of nice views and a lovely pool. Restaurants inside the hotel are great. Extremely convenient location. One of the best stays I've had in awhile.
- 1/5
Cold shower, I text them about it and their service bot said there would be a charge for them to come check it out. never got a warm shower.
- 5/5
The Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa is a very convenient place to stay when visiting the convention center. Nice folks at the desk and check in was fairly quick. My room could have used a bit of work in that the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall as were the hand soap and body lotion dispensers.
- 5/5
Elevators took forever and I was only on the 6th floor Room was in good shape, breakfast was good, bar had good food
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times. Great location staff is good amenities very good.
- 5/5
Great hotel nice staff. Good location.
- 5/5
We didn’t make it to breakfast since we had to travel back home early and breakfast starts a bit later on weekdays, but it was great to have a Starbucks conveniently located in the lobby so I could grab a cappuccino before hitting the road. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. The staff was very friendly, and the valet parking team was polite and provided fast service. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
They let us check in at 11:00 am and overall great experience!
- 5/5
todo fue una experiencia positiva 10 de 10
- 5/5
The stay was fabulous as always. The rooms were clean, and the staff was very attentive. Cheers to the bartender who made us a fabulous holiday martini.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. As a female solo traveler I felt extremely safe.
- 5/5
The staff was kind, the room was nice, big, and clean, and I liked the location of the hotel a lot. TASTE was also a good lunch spot and made me a nice cocktail!
- 5/5
We had late check in room was clean and was as described however the front desk person did not have a clue on where things outside the hotel were located and could not find a map of area
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly! We appreciated the location and access to the street car to get us to port.
- 4/5
Yes room was spotless
- 5/5
Great breakfast, hotel staff are great.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good, staff was polite, room was clean, and bed was comfy.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in wonderful location,
- 4/5
Absolutely loved this, probably our best vacation we’ve taken but unfortunately the staff missed a lot of things. When checking in they gave us the wrong room twice, while dinning in the restaurant we were ignored multiple times on different occasions when it wasn’t busy. House keeping never came but once out of the 4 nights, this was after we told them about it multiple times, they did give us new towels and helped with trash but when housekeeping came, they only made the bed. Overall, this place was amazing if you overlook that and we will be back! The stadium was not even a 5 minute walk and all the restaurants and shopping was so close by.
- 5/5
Patrick at the front desk was fantastic. We had an amazing view. Rob was also friendly at checkout. Complimentary breakfast was great. All staff was so nice. Only complaint is floors did not seem vacuumed in our room, and at our elevator there was trash on the floor the whole duration of our trip so I’m not sure how often cleaning crew comes through. Valet was overpriced. Overall we would stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, easy access to a great area!
- 5/5
We stayed here for a night to watch the game. Great location and literally a 5 minute walk to the stadium. Valet parking is good and easy to request car. Jarvis the bellman was the best bellman I’ve ever met, super friendly and a great bundle of energy. We would stay here again purely because of Jarvis
- 5/5
Staff was very nice at the Front Desk and in Taste
- 5/5
We had excellent service our entire stay. Everyone was ver helpful, friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Breakfast staff was the best way to start the day! They were kind, happy, friendly, and efficient.
- 2/5
The valet staff was rude, the a/c in the room didn’t work well and the experience at their restaurant was not pleasant at all.
- 5/5
5 star

Clean room, friendly staff and great breakfast
- 5/5
All great

I stayed here for 5 days with my girls and their mom. Unfortunately I stayed on the couch bed that was wired and not so comfortable. They should have a thin foam mattress on top. It was cold in the room and the blanket in the closet is not enough I had to call down to get a quilt unfortunately the lady brought me another thin blanket but I asked if she can find a top quilt that goes on the bed and she brought me the bottle quilt that wraps around the mattress but I took it bc it was better than nothing. Overall the stay was perfect location, they had valet parking that was easy to call the car when ever we needed it with the all day $45 a day. They also had a restaurant downstairs and a complimentary happy hour 5pm and stacks. The room had a fridge and microwave which was good for the kids food and left overs. We did go to the pool twice and it was quite chilly and not a heated pool. It was close to the boardwalk and tons of restaurants in the area walking distance. We also walked to the aquarium. They have a tram right outside but never took it. Not sure the stops but next time maybe we will jump on it. The playground and ice cream place was close too. Everyone was so nice and helpful very professional. We also liked the shampoo and conditioner product zero%.

Proximity to Benchmark Arena, spacious rooms.
- 4/5
Great as always
- 5/5
everything about the room was wonderful
- 5/5
Spacious clean room, staff very friendly. Very quiet there.
- 5/5
Quiet good.
- 5/5
Great facility and awesome service!
- 5/5
Front desk staff incredibly helpful with questions! Had dinner at the hotel and Rodney our server was awesome!!!
- 3/5
Room wasn’t clean on arrival. Parking is valet only and construction prevented a relaxing visit.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The breakfast was over the top and the location was beautiful.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff has always been professional and friendly! The best breakfast I've had at any stay!
- 1/5
The hotel staff was disrespectful. I was charge a bogus smoking fee for apparently the smoke detector signaled that my family was smoking in the room while we were away from the hotel.
- 5/5
Loved this property. It’s very clean and room was spacious. Will definitely stay again when I get back to Tampa.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly and on knowledgeable staff. Beautiful reception and all-you-need amenities for all hours of the day(Self serve market). Though not a huge drawback since most guest spend time out and about rather than in their rooms but tv options limited. Would rather have been able to at least watch some YouTube while winding down.
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms and great location
- 5/5
Love the spacious room, very comfortable, quiet and clean.
- 3/5
Staff at 2 AM are not friendly at all.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
The property was nice
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The room I originally asked for was not available n should not be available in the app. But the other room was good.
- 1/5
My room this time was bad, the bed sheets had a bad smell, in the same way with the pillows they had a bad smell, the bathroom was not completely clean. Terrible experience on this occasion.
- 5/5
Everytime we come to Tampa we stay here!! It is an amazing place to stay!!! Highly recommend!!
- 4/5
$34.05 surprise charge on my credit card. When I asked about it I was told it's a destination charge. Further told that if I charge food to my room $30 will be credited. Would have been nice to hear about it when checking in, not 2 hours before checking out. Otherwise nice stay. Excellent breakfast.
- 5/5
Was in town for business trip. Had great food @ hotel & convenience of Starbucks in the lobby. Now who doesn't like that!!! Would stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 5/5
So beautiful
- 1/5
Area is nice, hotel is not that good for the price and staff is extremely rude.
- 3/5
Location is great and complimentary breakfast that is terrific.
- 5/5
Booked a weekend stay to see Benson Boone next door at Amelie Arena over Sept 13 weekend. Hotel was totally booked. Myself and 3 daughters, 1 was a daughter from another mother. Lol. We had the best time. Hotel was amazing. Staff was awesome, full breakfast was awesome. The Hotel restaurant called, Taste, was delicious. We ate dinner there 2 nights and had the burger with the fried onions on top. I don’t remember the name. But it was one of the best hamburgers I have ever eaten. Hence why we ate there both nights. Joe in the Taste bar was amazing! He was so friendly and waiting on us both nights we were there. I cannot say enough good things. Also a Latina girl at the front desk went above and beyond. I forget her name but she was great! I will be staying here anytime I have concert tickets or any other time I have to be downtown.
- 5/5
Super nice staff.
- 5/5
Well appointed rooms, clean and comfortable excellent breakfast.
- 3/5
They were friendly people
- 4/5
The property was really nice, $45 a day for parking is ridiculous and they charge you a $30 fee that you must spend there
- 5/5
My friends and I came to Tampa for an event, only for a night. Everyone was so nice
- 5/5
The Oceanview was amazingly RAD!!
- 2/5
Be aware if you stay, you will have to pay for parking in the vicinity. We had to walk 2 blocks to park. The parking was non existant. Also the dining room had a cockroach problem.
- 4/5
We really like to close proximity and walkable Bridge across to the convention center and restaurants in the Bay Area.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel for a short stay in Tampa. No better location if you have an event at the arena. With a Starbucks on site and good food in the Hotel restaurant we enjoyed our stay.
- 1/5
Well, first our first night there valet lost my keys and my car, did not know where anything was. It took them about 35 minutes to get my car from valet. We went back to the hotel room. The room was warm so we turned the air down to 65. It never reached Below 72 in the room. We got up Saturday morning. I went to the front desk to let them know that the air conditioner was not working. He nonchalantly said I’ll send maintenance. Maintenance came in there three different times and said he could not fix the air conditioner and told me to go back to the front desk. I go back to the front desk the guy Moves us to another room finally. Overall, the hotel was OK Justin the manager was extremely nice when he found out what all had going on and helped us out. I appreciate him very much. But some of the other workers at the front desk were very rude And really didn’t care that Our air conditioner was broke and it was hot in the room.
- 5/5
Great location for the Benson Boone concert! Walked across the street to the Arena! Staff who checked us in were fantastic!
- 5/5
Easy access
- 3/5
Cold shower( no hot water)2 out of the 3 days i stayed.
- 2/5
Transportation was limited and there was no email in advance, or no signs stating this. We waited in car line forever before being notified there was no more parking. Ended up having to park in a public garage about 6 blocks away.
- 2/5
The property has only minimal on-site parking. We had to park at another property 2 blocks away, drag our luggage back to the hotel to check in and two blocks back at check out in downtown Tampa. We had to move our vehicle at midnight or risk having our vehicle towed and fines. Staff apologized, but was otherwise unhelpful and afford no discounts or assistance. Ultimately, the accommodations were sketchy, low quality, and fundamentally unpleasant.
- 2/5
The property itself was wonderful. The staff was excellent, very nice and polite but when I got here to check in, I was under the impression that I only had to pay the remaining $35 for my stay. I would read it by this nice gentleman at the front desk he told me that I need to pay $100 deposit and I thought that was everything that I need to pay when I prepaid for my room thank God I had extra money. What would I’ve done if I didn’t have the hundred dollars in my account to pay the deposit And then he said that I wouldn’t get the whole deposit back I’ll get a $30 food credit and I guess I will get $70 back so that was like a kind of surprise to me and I didn’t like that.
- 4/5
Other than long line at Valet stay was good 👍
- 2/5
no available parking as promised and we were overcharged for the wrong room we reserved
- 5/5
Very nice location
- 5/5
Great experience. Clean room, very professional staff and amazing food. Only issue was parking, they were sold out.
- 3/5
Now for the negative: -crazy fees -crazy confusing check in and out -staff looked overwhelmed and unsure of what they were doing… Crazy high tech CHECK IN AND VALET ARE A NIGHTMARE!!! VERY LONG WAIT! Over an hour in valet until they finally got my car. It was ridiculous. -I’m used to resort fees hidden fees etc… but there was a 30$ fee added to get food from Starbucks whether you like it or not. I don’t go to Starbucks ever, so that to me is. BS!!!!! , I’m a longtime traveler and I have never been so irritated by a a hotel to write a poor review before but this one took the cake…, the complete chaos and overcrowding in the lobby is unacceptable!!! I will never return!!!!!!
- 4/5
Plus the floor between the beds had a m & m & 2 dirty rug spots. My husband took a picture the resturant Taste was delicious ‼️‼️
- 5/5
The hospitality was outstanding! I loved that upon check-in there’s a lounge where you can enjoy a drink or grab some snacks. This is easily one of my favorite hotels.
- 4/5
The Hotel was under renovation, so parking was limited. I had to park across the street for $30. when I tried to leave the next morning the parking garage was trying to charge me again because they said I should have been out the previous night. Just give customers a heads up with parking etc.
- 3/5
Air conditioning throughout the Hotel (hallways and common areas and elevators were very hot. Bar area was a bit slow, not enough bartenders during their busiest hours. Also, too many fees associated with the overall stay! Designation fees, incidental fees was $200 for 2 night stay, and valet is $45 per day, which we’re unable to do bc parking was closed.
- 3/5
The room was fairly clean, and the bed comfortable despite fixtures being poorly affixed to the wall. Decent breakfast buffet in the morning. Quite underwhelmed with our experience since this is supposed to be a Hilton property.
- 3/5
The service is wonderful, the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. I love that the hotel offers restaurant, bar, Starbucks, great location, a fantastic variety of snacks and drinks, valet parking. The hotel rooms are great size, and arranged perfectly. Large TV and great kitchenette area. And I love that the bedroom has a door separated from the room. However…The entire hotel is built with an open lobby to all the rooms. So it’s extremely noisy and impossible to get a good nights sleep. This hotel spent zero on sound proofing…even the road noise pours in through the window of the bedroom away from the lobby side. Then unfortunately the living room area with the pull out sofa bed, has a window…The window is open to the open lobby…with no curtain, the blinds are worthless and the room is too bright to sleep. The hotel is extremely fair price I’m guessing because of these issues. So if you like to sleep with a sleep mask and ear plugs, then it’s great.
- 4/5
Super close to all the action. The a/c in the room was a bit stuffy and the shutter blinds were broken so it was a tad tricky to close them. The pool and bar sevice was perfection on friday afternoon 9/5. We will be back.
- 4/5
We had a nice stay at this hotel, perfect if you’re going to a show at Bemchmark stadium . One thing that should be noted is $55 valet parking and the $30 destination charge. We did use the $30 destination fee at Starbucks as they give you a credit for their restaurants.
- 5/5
The only thing I didn’t like was the parking. I didn’t want to pay $50 per night for Valet parking. We stayed 3 nights. Had to park across the street then had to move vehicle due to a concert which was event parking only. Everything else was fabulous. Except for the $30 Destination fee per night
- 3/5
Our room had water damage and there was mold all over the hallway ceilings outside our room. I think we are all having a little reparatory issues from it. Stay away till issue is fixed.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
Cool
- 5/5
Was great with great breakfast pool is small
- 5/5
I had an amazing experience at Embassy Suites Tampa! The hotel was incredibly clean, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I especially loved the complimentary breakfast and evening reception. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
- 5/5
Lovely property, great breakfast and happy hour. Great location. Close to the cruise terminal.
- 4/5
The only con to this property was the parking.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
The Tampa Riverwalk was right across the street.
- 5/5
Big comfortable clean rooms and great breakfast. Center of town.
- 4/5
Was a great location for the monster truck show. The breakfast was ok, but over all for price , location, cleanliness. I was happy.
- 5/5
This was a great hotel in a great spot. Just be prepared to pay a lot for parking. The parking app in Florida is for the day so when you pay for the day, you only pay til midnight. After that you have to pay again. Other than that, this was a great stay.
- 4/5
It was very convenient to be attached and right next to the Tampa comicon
- 4/5
Need to repair a lot of things in the hotel, for example: bathrrooms, furnoture
- 5/5
First of all, let me say I love TASTE and spent time there eating and engaging with the other patrons. The Embassy Suites never disappoints and Tampa was no different. The check-in was seamless, the room was clean, spacious, and a wonderful price for the comfort. The hotel is in the middle of everything and whatever was not immediately nearby, was a short Lyft ride away. I went to see Chris Brown and my sister and I really enjoyed our stay. I will be back in March and will bring others to enjoy Tampa from this location.
- 5/5
Great location, so much to do in the area .
- 5/5
Huge room with amazing view of downtown.
- 3/5
I wish that the bathroom would’ve been cleaner and more modern. Also housekeeping needs to be careful with not leaving peoples doors open when they leave.
- 5/5
Room was very nice, bed very comfortable. It was a very busy event weekend but hotel was fairly calm. Breakfast buffet was standard for an Embassy with a very fast and good omelette chef. Actually faster to get an omelette than the buffet eggs. Would like other options in the restaurant besides hamburgers or pizza. Like the ability to do tips by phone but pretty hefty charges for tipping.
- 3/5
Clean but ac was noisy and unexpected valet parkingninly without any notice was disappointing
- 1/5
Both TV’s didn’t work. First TV remote didn’t work, had to unplug to turn off. Second TV no remote to turn on. Front desk said they would send someone up, never showed up. Probably the worst Embassy Suites hotel I’ve stayed in. Markings on desk.
- 5/5
Staff are amazing!
- 5/5
We absolutely loved this hotel !!! Everything was perfect
- 1/5
First off the property was hot as soon as you walked in. The parking situation is horrible. They only have valet, but valet staff was not the most helpful and I was double charge. They use a third-party company you can’t get in contact with anyone. For location you would think it would be up-to-date but the hotel is really outdated and AC didn’t seem to work. Everything seemed to be out of order just a horrible experience.
- 4/5
Bfast was amazing
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Wonderful experience
- 3/5
Very conveniently located next to the Tampa convention center. Breakfast is very convenient and included with rooms though food quality could be better. The biggest negative is the cleanliness. The bathrooms in particular are not well maintained and the rooms could use some updating as the furniture is showing signs of extended use and lack of cleanliness.
- 5/5
Staff is friendly. Walkable to the convention center, part of the river walk and a lot of places downtown.
- 3/5
Parking for large vehicles was not available due to refrigeration implementation. Having to find overnight parking downtown on the spot was not pleasant. AC took a long time to cool down and towels ran out? Room service took all the towels and didn't replace. Shouldn't have taken the towels. Bed was hard and not comfortable. Pillows were fluffy but too soft and flat. Shower door didn't shut tight and leaked. Deterioration in bathroom corners could be from the moisture. Bedsheets had a stain but was in the bottom corner so didn't complain. For a nice hotel at that price... upgrade and renovation is needed. The breakfast is still the Best!
- 5/5
It was a short stay but the location was perfect for my event planned
- 5/5
Staff was great
- 4/5
Bryan, our valet, was very helpful and the entire team in Taste was great too! The Starbucks team inside the hotel (I went in early Monday morning) for a cup of coffee and some breakfast sandwiches, were downright unfriendly in their tone and in nature, messy with the drinks, and showed no customer service at all. I was totally shocked. This was the first time I ever experienced this type of customer service at a Starbucks, and I travel heavily!!! They can do better at this location. They also had NO napkins, no supplies and the store was untidy.
- 5/5
Great free breakfast!
- 3/5
The building is dated and in need of updates. Staff was amazing though.
- 4/5
Great, just too many people
- 5/5
Staying at the Embassy was exceptional! This part of the downtown Tampa area was so clean and safe! Walking to convention center was easy with use of crosswalk ( although it was safe and easy from street below as well). I ate in the hotel restaurant every night. The service and food was good each time! Parking was easy. One of the best hotel experiences I have had….even compared to more expensive stays!
- 2/5
Undisclosed fees. Orbiz always blames the property, and the property blames Orbitz. That way, nobody is actually responsible for anything. Too many problems with Orbitz, app deleted.
- 5/5
The area was great but the valet parking was ridiculous $185 for the weekend was over priced to me we only was there Friday and Saturday night left Sunday morning.
- 5/5
So convenient when going to a concert
- 5/5
Mr Bach front desk was best and angel in restaurant Loved our stay
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Right by the convention center. Convenient to get around. Lots of dining options.
- 1/5
Room smelt moldy.
- 4/5
Breakfast choices
- 5/5
Great property
- 1/5
Request made took way too long and was very frustrated on how the car acted along with the cost. Then the $25 fee was total horsheshit
- 5/5
Sherry at the front desk was the nicest customer service rep I have ever had the joy of meeting at a hotel. Was super personable, helpful and just a lovely employee. She made my day brighter and my stay better by getting me two connecting rooms for my kids. Thanks so much!!
- 1/5
Shower was clogged , pipes rattled , room was worn and dirty . They charge a 30 dollar urban fee which is crazy on top of valet , taxes and so many other fees . Asked for late check out and lady was rude . Will not stay here again and might need to reconsider being a Hilton honors member .
- 3/5
Reserved 2 beds, got one with upgrade. Upgrade was basically a conference table. TVs old and slow. The curtain was broken and let in the sun from the East. Hotel was nice but it was crazy busy. $30 extra fee plus expensive valet cost. Onsite restaurant had good food.
- 5/5
15 minutes from the airport and right next to the convention center and Marriot hotels. However the bottled water in the rooms is not free. You are charged a whopping $4 for each bottle!
- 4/5
I wish they were upfront on the cost of parking and what options they had, it’s not fun to arrive there and be forced into paying more.
- 3/5
Breakfast and the happy hour were awesome. The on-site restaurant’s food was really good as well. Hotel is directly in front of free trolly which was also great. The rooms are dated but overall clean. The main issue is all the fees associated with this hotel. What you see on Travelocity is not the final price. They charge $30 daily “Urban Fee”. At the time we stayed we were given credit for food purchased at the hotel, but you have to pay it whether you use it or not. Also they require a $100 NIGHTLY deposit in conjunction with the Urban Fee. So what seemed to be a deal on Travelocity- turned out to be an average price for our stay. Also the hotel is centrally located and directly across from water views. Overall I would definitely stay again. It just would have been helpful to know all the fees beforehand.
- 2/5
Leaking roof. Smelled like mold.
- 5/5
Very nice accommodations.
- 5/5
The location, the amenities, the service all of it was 5 star.
- 4/5
Everything and everyone was awesome except hskping “Annette”, she act as if cleaning the room and making bed was a chore. Horrible customer service on her part. When she did finally do it, she walked out without even saying goodbye…not hospitable at all.
- 4/5
The Trolley is right outside the Front entrance! Nice when you don’t have a car! Beds and bathroom very clean but the “ suite” area extremely old and dingy! Definitely needs upgrades! Free Breakfast Buffet delicious! Not close enough to any kind of convenience store or even a gas station! Had to uber to one.
