When booking we did not realize parking was paid for separately. This is the only downfall. Everything was clean and breakfast was excellent.

The rooms were beautiful and staff was amazing. However, we were only there a very short time from the airport to enough time to get to the port for our cruise which was a few hours not a full 24 hours but had to pay for 24 hours. Plus a deposit.

My positives from the stay: 1. Very comfortable bed and pillows 2. Warm water almost instantly at faucets in the bathroom 3. Purchasable snacks and drinks in the lobby outside of breakfast 4. Allergen options (gluten free) at breakfast (mainly bread) Minor negatives: 1. Odd smells coming from some of the vents, however there was construction going on in parts of the hotel so the source wasn't known. 2. Florida drivers are excessively loud and enjoy showing off their deleted mufflers at 2am (no fault to the hotel, mind you) I'm not going to mark my last note has a negative or a positive, though it was a benefit. I signed up for every-other-day room service (cleaning, new towels) but I actually received daily house care. Overall, the stay was pleasant and all my personal needs were met. I would recommend the stay to friends who wish to stay in a hotel to visit Hampton Inn Tampa for personal and business travels there.

2 different hotels in one so at first was confusing to get elevator to go to your floor. When we asked staff were some good restaurants they said they didn’t know which seemed super weird to me. However room and hotel where clean and a decent location

Very close to channelside activities and a very easy walk. Infinity pool was in pristine working order with great accessibility. Breakfast was also a good assortment except the Sunday staff was very slow to get the pancake batter out which was not self serve, my only critique. Overall though a great stay for myself and the family. Would recommend and stay again

We stay here many times during the year a day before our cruise leaves and also park our vehicle in the garage for a reasonable daily fee. Shuttle to the port is free. Junior the shuttle driver is a great person. Recommend to anyone looking for a hotel close to the port that cares about you.

Our stay at the Hampton was acceptable. The rooms (specifically the bathrooms) could use some updating, but overall it was good. We really appreciated the shuttle to the cruise ship as well as the continental breakfast and attached Starbucks!

We were going on a cruise, and the location was perfect for a cruise port. Easy trolley access right down the road, which is free to explore the town. Front staff was extremely friendly and allowed us to get in early. No issues, no problems. And the rooftop pool was a definite, plus.

Location close to cruise terminal was ideal. Location to restaurants was good. Room smelled like a mix of cigarette smoke, hydraulic oil and poop. The entire hotel smelled this way actually. Toilet didn't work and I had to fix it. The only thing fit to eat at the breakfast was coffee and a banana. Prior guest hair in shower. I sought out a Hampton because they're usually a good pick. Could have stayed at a cheaper branded place and had the same experience.

This was a great hotel to stay at before a cruise leaving from Port of Tampa. Room and lobby were clean. Breakfast was very busy since multiple ships were scheduled to leave port that day, but there was plenty of food and plenty of variety. My husband and I found the hotel's location a convenient walking distance to the port

Great experience! Room was ready when we got there well before check in and was clean and comfortable. It was wonderful checking in with Ines, who was incredibly cheerful and all around helpful. Bathrooms were clean and well appointed and showers were fantastic. Hotel is reasonably priced for the area, which is very nice and within easy walking distance of Benchmark Arena. My only suggestion is a refillable water bottle fountain somewhere on the premises, as we try not to use single use items and our water bottles didn’t fit under the sink faucet. Otherwise greatly enjoyed our stay!

Staff went above and beyond to get us a room for early check-in. This is busy cruise hotel so it wasn't easy but they pulled it off. Highly recommend if taking a cruise. Their shuttle is free to the port and is well organized.

Good breakfast. Only 2 issues - the bar down the street was super noisy until midnight. We had an early morning and couldn’t sleep. Then around 5:30 am we were awakened by a couple of boys looking to be around 12 years old chasing each other down the hallway and slamming the stairs door by our room 322. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns around the country.This was the most expensive ($400) and the worst experience by far.

The staff was extremely professional and kind. The shuttle to the port was fast, efficient and free. The driver was top notch! Rooms were clean and spacious. The provided toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotions) were higher quality compared to other hotels. Breakfast buffet was fresh and well stocked. The onsite Starbucks was nice however, the hotel coffee was just as tasty and free. There were a few local eateries within walking distance. The only improvement I would offer is a shuttle to/from the airport would have been nice for as many cruise goers that frequent this facility.

We stayed here before and after our cruise. This hotel is so nice! The check in and out process is very easy. They also have a free shuttle to and from the cruise port. When we checked in after we got back from our cruise they held our bags and had a room ready within an hour. They go above and beyond for their guest.

After a long day of flying it was very nice to be welcomed to the Inn by friendly receptionists. We had actually arrived earlier than the usual check in time but as the room was ready we were provided with it immediately. Great room, very clean, beds were comfy and the view was good. The Inn was nice and quiet. We were able to walk to a little Asian diner for our evening meal and in the morning the breakfast provided by the Inn was very good with plenty of seating available. We were close enough to the pier to walk to the ship we were going to board. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone travelling this way.

Perfect place to stay before and after a cruise. Locating walking distance to restaurants and bars. There is a CVS right next door for anything you forgot or waited to buy before the cruise. The CVS has an off sale, too. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from the cruise port. If you are flying out later the same day of disembarkation they will hold your luggage and you can use the pool, etc until you need to be at the airport, assuming you stayed there before the cruise. We will definitely be staying here for our next cruise!

Perfect space

Have stayed at this property several times due to its close proximity to our son's apartment. Rooms are clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. Walkable to a variety of restaurants and the arena. We always see a lot of people using the hotel prior to cruises. Excellent hotel in this price range.

We had a 2 night stay at this hotel. The first night we didn’t even get to stay there because of a flight delay, which made us miss our connecting flight something we had no control of, so therefore we didn’t even get to our destination and they wouldn’t even give us a refund for that night of any kind!!!! Then the second night night we finally made it there but the was someone at 2 am banging on doors and yelling very loudly for o don’t know!!! I will never stay at this hotel again!!!!

We had a great stay in the Hampton Inn Downtown Channel District. We stayed before and after a cruise and could not have been happier. The place was clean and beautiful and the staff was great! We took the shuttle to/from the cruise terminal and the driver (I'm so frustrated that I can't remember his name) was great! He gave us tips for spending the day in Tampa after we returned to the hotel following the cruise. The hotel was convenient to the terminal and there were many places to eat and walk around. We would happily cruise out of Tampa and use this hotel again. Our only negative was the traffic noise from cars racing up and down the road...but that's not a hotel issue.

They were very helpful getting us to our cruise, my friend forgot her backpack at the hotel and they rushed it to the port for us. Front desk staff were very friendly! Breakfast was not great but it’s free so can’t really complain. Wish we had time to check out the pool.

This was a great hotel. Stayed the night before a cruise and enjoyed the free breakfast and shuttle to my cruise terminal. Kinda weird that it has two hotels in one building. That seems unnecessary.

I had a good stay not a great stay. The shower head was horrible. For what I paid it should have been perfect. Tried to call the hotel on the phone and was on hold for 22 minutes and no one picked up. Called back and no one picked up so after 16 minutes I hung up again

Room was perfect. The onsite self serve laundry was a plus for us. Also the shuttle to cruise terminal was perfect. Everyone that worked there greated us with hello's and was very accommodating. We will stay here again for sure. I cant say enough good this about this hotel.

I was expecting something nicer for $500 a night, it was just a basic hotel room. Mine also happened to be on the 2nd floor so the city view was actually just a view of the CVS entrance and homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk and you could hear the sounds of traffic all night/morning. Otherwise the location was very commutable to downtown, we were able to walk all the places we wanted to go. Staff was somewhat friendly. Quick walk to CVS or Publix. Room was dated but clean. Overall it was perfectly fine for a quick trip and I wouldn’t have complained at all if the price was in line with the experience.

Guest service was very nice, as there were several people checking in at the time. They accommodated our shuttle to the cruise port. The rooms were spacious and clean.

The hotel was very nice and met all of our expectations. Our only feedback would be the water pressure in the shower wasn’t the greatest and the noise from the street was outrageous, but that’s not in their control. We would definitely stay here again.

Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff members assisted us in locating businesses and events in downtown Tampa and offering suggestions on itinerary. It was great to see both garbage & recycle bins available. We received complimentary bottles of water on arrival which was great for the Tampa heat! Our room was clean & well-kept, there are some signs of wear, but it doesn't affect the function of the room. The pool area was beautiful with a nice view of the city. Breakfast was large & bountiful, many options to choose from. I don't prefer driving downtown (many accidents), but there are so many places to go & things to see & do within walking distance as well as the TECOline streetcar, which was an amazing asset to enhance our experience as it allows for easy travel to & from downtown restaurants, shops, the aquarium, etc. It was so convenient to walk a few blocks from the hotel & board the streetcar, it made travel a breeze.

Arrived in just after midnight due to a delayed connecting flight. I had called ahead, so front counter was all ready for me upon arrival. Very friendly staff (both front desk and security). One gentleman had to go back up to our room to assist getting in as our original key cards didn’t work, but they were able to fix that issue super quick. Comfortable beds, clean room. I wish we had gotten in earlier so we could make use of the pool - next time!

Room was fine. The problem at check if was they charge your card 100 even though you paid in full for your room. When I questioned this the lady told me you get your hundred back on check out. Then they run your card and then they tell you they take 35 dollars out for parking . To me this isn't very honest way of doing it. No where did it ever say they charge you 35 to park when reserving a room. Oh Well, had they told me up-front it wouldn't be so bad but telling you after they run your card doesn't seem right to me.

Amazing stay at Hampton Inn Tampa Downtown Channel District. The hotel is perfectly located in downtown Tampa, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were welcoming, professional, and always helpful. Breakfast was fresh and well organized. I truly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tampa

Dog friendly hotel that seems to not care if the dogs are a nuisance and bark all night. Essentially more pet friendly than guest friendly. I don't blame the pets I blame the pet owners that have no self-awareness and leaves their pet bark all night and into the early morning hours.

Furniture in room old dirty I wasn’t even comfortable sitting in desk chair, hot water in shower to 10 min to warm up toilet not flushing properly … staff was friendly none of these things mentioned are their responsibility shame on management and corp for charging 300 a night for old dirty furniture to add head board is cloth exactly how is that cleaned? Will not recommend or stay at this location again also breakfast was not best didn’t even have bacon

It was difficult to sleep. The room(508) was directly above an intersection. The cars reved their engines each time the lights turned green until about half past midnight.

We didn’t get to choose our room. Very noisy. Front dest guy was talking our ear off, when I hinted that we were exhausted, he kept taking about his personal business and other customer plans, which we just wanted out room. My husband asked for a quiet room. But he gave us a very loud bright room above all traffic and bar partie people room. We were above all traffic, lights and noise. When we went back down, another lady waited on us and was about to give us another quiet different room, he said no. That is what we get!!!! When we know she told us there were other rooms. NOT HAPPY!!!!

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The only complaint I have is the street noise. Our room was facing the main road and the cars revving their engines at the light and racing off once the light turned green made it extremely difficult to sleep. Other than that all was great.

The staff was wonderful! Our cruise was delayed due to fog, and the staff allowed us to stay in lobby and stored our luggage for us while we went to lunch. It was clean and safe place The only b issue, they forgot to plug in machine for juice.

There its a 35 dollar daily fee for parking. They should let people know when making the reservation about this fee.

Upon checking in, I was charged for parking which Expedia never mentioned anywhere when booking, nor the $100 hold on my card. When I said something to the clerk she told me to take it up with Expedia since that is who I booked with.

We have booked this hotel three times in the past five months. It is close to the cruise port. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The customer service, cleanliness, breakfast and amme nities are five star.

Shower curtain was a foot off the floor allowing water to run out. Get maintenance to lower the curtain rod or get a longer shower curtain.

Front desk staff were on point. Clean room. Complimentary shuttle to the Tampa Cruise terminal.

Room very clean, was ready at arrival. Guest reception was stellar. Missed the note about $35 parking. The separate building HVAC, kept me awake throughout the night. Sounded like a window was down in a truck.. The window HVAC was fine.

this was a fabulous property to stay at 2 nights before boarding a cruise .... close to the Tampa Port .... the staff especially Captain T at front desk was an absolute sweetheart .... when going back to the airport after our cruise we stayed here for an another night she arranged a taxi - black SUV and the driver who was spanish was a pleasant guy ... beyond impressed thank you so much for making it a fabulous stay hope this hotel gets this review .... the Narain Family ( Jill)

I stayed due to going to a concert. I asked for a room on the lower floor due to not liking elevators and they were able to accommodate me. My room was very spacious. They even gave me a pass to put in my car window so I could park on the lower level so I didn't have to take an elevator. I will definitely stay again.

Exceptional experience from the beginning. The front desk girls were friendly and accommodating. We arrived earlier than our 4:00 check in and they put us on a room right away! If you are cruising this is The Hotel to stay at. They transport you back and forth. There is a really nice roof pool and the breakfast was good consisting of cheese egg omelet, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, assorted breads, yogurt and fresh fruit. Highly recommend

Cleaning service and a karen was my only issues, house skeeping didn't speak English and they walked in on my girls after I told them I would be right back. My daughter and I stayed overnight prior to boarding a cruise. Therefore, our stay was brief, but would absolutely recommend this property and will be staying again. Definitely, worth the price.

If on Kennedy street prepare for loud vehicles racing, day and night. Bring a small fan or ear plugs. Very comfortable bed and clean room. I stayed 2 separate occasions and both were good except the first night on Kennedy.

The pool is a nice size with a great view and a fire pit. there are grills there too but I didn’t use them. The hotel provides towels. The room is spacious and beds are comfortable. The only downside is the shower does not have great pressure. The breakfast was good on the weekend but was cold mid week. We tried several different times but the results were the same. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Didn’t quite meet expectations. There is a parking fee of $35 that isn’t listed when booking. You can hear the cars going by on the highway at night. Overall I didn’t feel it was worth what we paid for the room. Lots of wear and tear.

Cleanliness- upon entering our room i noticed the desk surfaces had not been cleaned and mt husband had to pick several pieces of hair from the chairs and sofa. Finding these issues made me wonder about the cleanliness of sheets and towels. For the daily of the room. Am expectation is made that we should not find any issues around cleanliness om the property

This property was conveniently located. There is a parking lot with a nightly fee. Staff were generally nice and helpful. House keeping is only every other day. Bathroom is a sliding door could use a lock or exhaust. Breakfast is free and served daily it was decent. Pool was great! Laundry not very good machines need to be clean or updated . Gym is fully equipped. Publix supermarket is a block away so convenient!! Thanks for the stay!!

Also the super cool pool side area that overlooks the city is closed at dark for some reason like having the pool open is understandable but why stop us from sitting out at the fire pit and looking at city lights, what's the point of even having it at that point, was very disappointing since it's one of the reasons we picked the hotel

There’s a cockroach in the bathroom. We changed the room on the next day.

Only issue was a noisy fan above the door that sounded like a cheap bathroom exhaust fan. It didn’t keep me from sleeping but had to turn the TV up to hear.

Stayed here before a cruise, was very convenient, clean and the shuttle service to ship was free and convenient.

Staff at check in could have been more welcoming. We ended up having to check in until after the concert. The room seemed your typical two bed room. What was disappointing was the restroom door hinge (barn style slider) was unhinged. And kids and i were too tired to have to wait up for maintenance or switch rooms. But this should have been checked before giving room to someone to stay in.

Don’t think in proper room, welcome greeting in room was for someone else, WiFi then went down completely knocking out their computers, card readers stopped working, had to sit on floor in hall outside our room until WiFi repaired and new room access cards printed
