Great hotel in a great location. Bars, farmer's market and restaurants right outside the door.

Superb

The carpet was so dirty and it felt sticky. There was also a 2" cockroach on the wall that we had to kill. When I confronted the front desk on the fourth day of our stay - they apologized and said they didn't have enough help to take care of our room. They offered some snacks from the store - but all we wanted was our room cleaned up. This was a terrible place to stay and it is inexcusable for a Hilton property. Expedia shouldn't even offer this as a hotel option to stay in Tucson.
- 5/5
Amazing place. Great breakfast. Wonderful staff. Gave me lake checkout and I will come back again and again, what an economical find for such a nice area and to have a full kitchen to boot! Five stars!
- 3/5
If you book through Expedia you are not guaranteed the room you booked and paid for, if they have to downgrade your room, you will not get a difference in pricing. The beds were comfortable, the couches were both stained and dirty. The pillows are fluffy but flat as soon as you lay on them. For the price I wouldn’t stay again. My opinion tho, it’s not bad but not good for the price . Staff were the best part about my experience. Very respectful and kind.

Hotel staff went above and beyond! Hotel was clean, and great location in a plaza with shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Always reliable.
- 5/5
Clean inexpensive place to sleep while on business trip. Good restaurants within short walking distance even if it is super hot outside. That close.
- 4/5
This was a good place to stay.
- 5/5
Always greeted by a professional and cheerful staff. The rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained. The sundries shop is very convenient. It's such a great location and I love the waffles for breakfast! REAL waffles!! The chia pudding is also a great offering for breakfast. Very complete breakfast and always very clean. And all the staff is consistently cheerful and welcoming.

Comfortable room, hot tube was nice. Nice treadmill in the exercise room. The Internet was difficult to sign in to. The halls had a funny smell. It’s big, a long walk to breakfast. difficult to drive in and out of the complex.

The pool was dirty, I think the pumps were off or broken. There was dead flys floating in pool and debris. Pool towels are indeed hand sized towels so beware.Staff was nice and friendly, and breakfast was nice.

The place clean and very accessible.

The included breakfast was very rudimentary and on weekdays end at 9 am which is too early.
- 4.5/5
The convenience of the location to multiple restaurants, walkable ! Saturday a flea market in parking lot. Loved all the vendors. Pool facilities was great. The only thing that needed cleaned would be the pool, need a skimmer to get all the bugs, flowers, leaves out of the pool. Really didn’t see anyone doing this. My friend & I used the end of the net to get some of the stuff out of the pool. We wished they had a skimmer would have been much easier and faster .

Very comfortable beds and pillows. Nice pool and hot tub. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
We love this hotel and the restaurants available within walking distance. There is also a loop at the back of the hotel for early morning exercise. In addition there is a cool yoga studio, coffee shop, and boutiques nearby.
- 5/5
The room was much smaller than expected and the bed was horrid, so hard we had to buy mattress cover. But great area, staff and property
- 5/5
the suite kitchen was excellent. Ice trays might have been a good idea or an ice bucket...and the breakfast was delicious and the cofee great! CNN or another news source night be preferablet o Fox News

Our go to when visiting Tucson. Centrally located and great staff and amenities.:

Yes both good
- 1/5
My room was not what claimed to be , I was in a suite that had two full size beds and not queen , plus there was damage to the stove , the refrigerator inside light was hanging with wires exposed, the pool towels were so tiny not even a kid could use them besides being scratching, and the free breakfast was powered eggs and watered down cranberry juice and potato pancakes that were gut wrenching and caused stomach issues. Plus I was doubled charged and it took two days to refund back to my card which made travel difficult. I suggest carry extra cash . The staff was the only thing that was nice . Too highly priced for their hotel .
- 5/5
Loved the location as there was a lot accessible within the same parking lot for food, coffee etc. Couch was pretty stained in the room, but staff was friendly and it worked for our short stay
- 3/5
We were really disappointed in this hotel. The carpets were dirty with obvious spills that could be cleaned if someone would do it. The hallway in front of our room and down the hall needed vacuumed it was just dirty for the 3 days we stayed there. The mattresses need updating to at least a pillow top. For the price we paid this hotel fell sadly short.
- 0.5/5
Ok location. Sketchy location especially when we learned that cars in the lot were often vandalized. Mediocre breakfast food at best.

- 5/5
The room was spacious and kitchen clean. The feather pillows were very comfortable. The automatic Night light in the bathroom was a great surprise, for middle of the night trips. The breakfast was good and healthy optional. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rebecca checked on us several times. Much appreciate.
- 4/5
Yes, we had a clean suite with two queens and a sofa bed, but the beds were problematic for two of us: my friend woke up each morning with a back ache, and I had difficulty standing up because the beds were so low. There was only one mattress, which shifted over night. They were also quite soft. The breakfast was tasty, but the chairs were too low, so we ended up sitting at the bar with the taller chairs. Elsewhere, other chairs were difficult to get out of due to lack of arms. But the location is great, and we will probably return but will ask for higher beds. Also, the first night our room was quite cold even though the thermostat was set at 76. They responded to our complaint and fixed the problem for the other two nights.

Carpet wasn't very clean
- 4/5
Great place to stay. Rooms were clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, clean room, great staff! nothing
- 4/5
room was clean. I should have asked for different pillows. So my fault
- 3/5
Excellent staff and location. Rooms had stained carpet and furniture and had issues like slow drain, tiles with no grout, black bugs in shower (after rainstorm) and non-working appliances. We moved rooms once for horribly uncomfortable beds. Staff was quick and accommodating for repairs and to make sure we were comfortable but second room was more of the same mediocre. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Rooms need major renovation/attention but the location near the Rillito and Trader Joe’s, Luce Coffee etc was fantastic! Would stay again if the price was considerably less than comparable properties.
- 5/5
Liked location, breakfast, room suite
- 2/5
toilet was not working. Staff seemed to not be very present. Just unacceptable for this level of hotel
- 4/5
Room ok, breakfast POOR
- 5/5
Yes and yes.
- 2/5
Room was gloomy, sofa was very old and dirty, the view was of the dumpsters and parking lot. Cleaning lady was rude and cleaning service was terrible.
- 5/5
Cleanliness, fitness room, complimentary breakfast and convenient location.
- 5/5
The room was very nice
- 4/5
Courteous staff. Clean. Nice restaurants within walking distance. good breakfast. Furniture slightly dated.
- 5/5
We were unable to participate in the evening social but that is such a lovely idea!!!!! hank you Hilton and we shall definitely be back!
- 2/5
I noted that I’m a light sleeper and need a quiet room when I booked. And also told the lady when I checked in 11/27/25 at 3:00pm, she gave me the room #101 which was right across a bar. The first night (checked in night) the bar closed because of Thanksgiving, the stay was ok even the beds were terrible (only about 2 feet high - like sleeping on the floor and creaking because of too old). The second night was nightmare, the bar was open, the music was loud, I couldn’t sleep until 2:00am. The third night was even worse, more professional DJ made more strong and louder noise because of it was Saturday evening. I could not tolerated the noise for another night, asked to change room at 12:00am. The new room #127 was quiet and the beds was normal height and no creaking at all! I had stayed in this hotel more than 5 times, first time felt bad.
- 5/5
Great location and very quiet hotel.
- 5/5
Staff- Ceiling fan- amenities- area -shopping and the restaurants close by
- 5/5
Second time to stay. Really nice little plaza location with good dining. Farmers market on the weekend and still plenty of parking and safe.
- 5/5
Great room, good location with restaurants within walking distance.
- 5/5
Quiety property, clean rooms, clean grounds and great amenities.
- 3/5
Stayed six days. Same old breakfast every day. No shampoo in tub. Room was fully serviced only once until we complained.
- 4/5
Room was nice only issue is it had a weird smell.
- 3/5
The room was clean and a nice size, but the bed was uncomfortable and the refrigerator did not get cold (freezer worked).
- 5/5
The room was clean, it was an amazing location, and the staff for very nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet room, friendly staff. **(Locked) bikes stolen off of our vehicle on the last night of our stay. Staff states no cameras, sorry. Sheriffs report filed, point being, don't expect security. I suppose take your bikes into the room.
- 2/5
The room was extremely hot. The a/c would shut off at night when no movement was detected. The shower made a loud noise when we turned it on. All were explained at checkout and the girl did not care at all. We stay here a few times a year (coming again this week) and have not had that happen before. Hopefully, it was just a fluke.
- 3/5
We had a 2 night stay. First night great. Second night poor. We could not shower. Turned water on it would not drain. Sewer back up in tub. Informed front deck, you stated we are going to be getting a remodel. How did that help us. Packed up and left.
- 5/5
The room was excellent. Hotel was clean and quiet.
- 3/5
I did not like the bathroom door; it wouldn't open wider so you had to close it to sit on the throne. There was a broken tile in bathroom that was kind of was off-balancing in my socks! I also didn't like spots on the carpet.
- 3/5
Parking was very easy, a definite plus
- 4/5
It was so nice to have some space in my suite. Everything was neat & tidy, but a bit tired. My hotel room is definitely due for an update. The mattress felt worn on the side I slept on and the sofa was looking rather tired. But the location is fantastic and the price was reasonable. I'd stay there again, but hope the hotel is updated in the near future.
- 5/5
Everything was as it should be room wise and the breakfast was above par for a hotel of this class. Maybe the best feature is its location - it basically shares a parking lot with several good restaurants and a bakery / coffee shop.
- 3/5
The 3rd floor is a little run down compared to the ground to floor that we have stayed at before. Are the rooms worse when booked through a 3rd party? Bathroom was not clean and was lacking enough bath towels. The free breakfast was one of the better ones I've had. This stay was for a medical visit in Tucson, so a little disappointed overall this trip.
- 3/5
Only issue this time was whole hotel system was doing an update of the key card software so we were unable to get cards right away that opened our room but staff were so courteous and helpful to open doors and get us in as smoothly as possible.
- 5/5
Great location, restaurants in parking area, clean and friendly staff
- 3/5
Not great.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay a little far from downtown phoenix
- 5/5
We had a great time. All the employees were polite, experienced, knowledgeable and helpful. The room and hotel itself was very clean. We will definitely be back soon.
- 4/5
All was good
- 4/5
Room very clean and comfortable. A/C was a welcome relief from the scorching temperature outside. Breakfast was warm and plentiful.
- 4/5
The room was very nice and the staff was nice. The bed needs replaced. The shower flooded the bathroom and had to be towel dried everytime so we didn't slip and fall. The person above us paced the floor all night and kept us up. A dog in the next room barked at us everytime we sat to watch TV in the living room. I felt bad that he was all alone. The breakfast was good but a guest was slicking her fingers on all of the pastries in the case and sampling them by licking her fingers and moving on to the next pastery. I would stay again but might ask for a top florr room.
- 5/5
I had excellent service great breakfasts
- 5/5
I loved your pool and greatly liked the hot tub with working jets and pretty clean .... leaves some but still better than most. Exceptional nice staff. Towels and tp at request thank you . .texting in passenger seat dwith bumps. Thanks
- 5/5
I like the live entertainment right next door. The beautiful mosaics and gardens are a pleasure and the breakfast in the morning is full with a variety of delicious choices.
- 5/5
Convenient location and lovely area!
- 2/5
The property seems new/fresh but the room they sent us in was just vacated … dirty and not ready for us.
- 5/5
Glad we found this central location. Will return
- 3/5
I reserved this hotel due to the location and it really is a great spot. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. The room itself needed an air vent change (it was hairy and gross) and the A/C was so loud I opted to turn it off at night and be hot instead of be woken often. The road noise and hearing every step for the rooms above you indicates it's not well insulated. Breakfast was good and lots of options (including yummy Mexican food and chia pudding) and the area is walkable and cute. Bring ear plugs and grab a deal but I wouldn't reserve at full price.
- 4/5
It was nice and quite the pool wasn’t crowded at all
- 4/5
Somewhat noisy at night given live performances close by. No one told us on check in that cleaning would be done every other day
- 4/5
Good experience!
- 2/5
Upon arrival we were told our two bed queen room was not available and they were booked so there was nothing they could do.. we had to share a king, which was not acceptable. The parking lot certainly did not look full! The next morning we complained again and were moved to a room with two queens. Seems to me they should’ve upgraded our room the first night to possibly a two bedroom or two kings rather than us having to have only a king bed option
- 5/5
Atmosphere at St Phillips Plaza is wonderful, several options for dining, live music, cozy
- 5/5
Bathroom fan in room 209 doesn’t work.
- 5/5
Very clean. Loved the amenities around this hotel as well.
- 4/5
Perfect for a stay with near-by relatives over the Christmas holidays. Despite having to work on a holiday, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a step above some chains, but only the breakfast burritos were a little out of just "ordinary".
- 5/5
Nice hotel, helpful staff, good breakfast.
- 3/5
We paid for a king suite and only got a regular king room. We originally checked in and they gave us a two queen room. We went back and told the front desk we paid for a king suite. The bed was super uncomfortable.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and the neighborhood around the property was nice.
- 5/5
We were only there overnight. But the area was nice and the surrounding shopping was nice.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Nice hotel, clean and safe area
- 4/5
Otherwise this is a great suite hotel for a good price and we plan to continue using. Free buffet breakfast is super.
- 5/5
FIX THE PRINTER IN THE BUSINESS CENTER!
- 5/5
Good Breakfast. Great location.
- 5/5
It was very nice and clean I like that checkout time is at 12:00 pm. We were there for one night for a party birthday. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows. Definitely will stay there again. their breakfast was good. Coffee was delicious..
- 5/5
Staff was very welcoming upon arrival-manager went out of his way to show us around and the amenities
- 3/5
The breakfast was typical of a cheap hotel- fake scrambled eggs that have the consistency of plastic, little discs of ultra processed ham, sweetened yoplait yogurt ( which has tons of chemicals in it) and lots of bread products and waffles that I can’t eat due to Celiac disease. The “hot” water for tea was lukewarm and the only tea option was Lipton.
- 4/5
This location was convenient for our planned activities. The property was very neat and close to several dining options.
- 4/5
The staff were very helpful especially the front desk and breakfast staff. Housekeeping did a good job as well. The sofa arms required cleaning but the linen were all clean.
- 4/5
Some wear and tear in hallway and rooms, but great staff.
- 5/5
It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and bedding were clean and comfy. Everywhere we walked it was super clean (workout room, lobby, breakfast area, room 109). The breakfast was fantastic. Flour or corn tortillas with eggs, bacon, hash browns, lots of fruit and three different cereals. Waffle bar was lovely, too. Two different juices to drink. Coffee was ok.
- 5/5
It was great. Just wjat i needed
- 5/5
Excellent and convenient location.
- 3/5
The room smelled a bit. Staff were very friendly.
- 2/5
Had to move rooms 1 bc tv didnt work and 2 leaking from the tube. THE 2ED room wasn't bad but on the 2ed floor AC didnt work 2 well so dont plan on staying the day there and on our last night the AC unit started leaking.
- 5/5
Everything was nice and clean and everything to perfection. Only thing was that the pool was out of service. I wish I would’ve known before booking this place.
- 5/5
Didi is fantastic! I stay usually once per week and she is always extremely friendly and helpful. Makes the stay all that more pleasant.
- 5/5
all good
- 4/5
Stay was good. Would stay again.
- 4/5
The room was spacious with good amenities. It’s close to restaurants and shops.
- 5/5
Facilities were great and convenient. Loved the full kitchen and staff was friendly. Restaurants within 2 minute walk was very convenient.
- 5/5
Great experiance
- 5/5
Nice area
- 5/5
Great having the Tuscon Bike Loop next door. We rode all three days we were there.
- 3/5
the breakfast...poor....
- 5/5
Hotel was centrally located to the things we wanted to do. A few nice restaurants and a wine bar were steps from the hotel, which was perfect for our needs. We didn't use the pool but there was a nice pool area and other outdoor spaces to sit and relax
- 5/5
It was great.
- 4/5
My first visit to this hotel - a 5- night stay, and I would definitely return. The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and appeared in good repair. It was in an excellent location for me, w/ restaurants in adjacent buildings and a Trader Joe's close by. I was told the hotel will have a major renovation in the coming year. The front desk staff members were very welcoming & efficient. There were a few minor items in my room that required repair, but they may not have been reported previously, as they did not interfere with anything major; the suite itself was in very good condition and clean, including the towels. The complimentary breakfast buffet was adequate; the omelettes appeared pre-made. The dining & food areas were kept clean and stocked. There were a lot of activities going on in bldgs. around the hotel which made parking a little crazy at times, but there were always spaces to be found.
- 3/5
Major hotel chains have failed to recognize that hotel rooms have a life expectancy of around 15-20 years. At the end of that time period, the hotel rooms should get a total make-over. The Homewood suites Philips Plaza in Tucson is very tired and needs a complete makeover. Couch, seating chair, carpet, etc. are very worn and not comfortable to sit in. Was disappointed that Hilton has not reinvested in their hotels.
- 5/5
Great stay. Only disappointment was breakfast. Pre-made eggs, old dried out sausage.
- 5/5
Great property and good service.
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
We came to Tucson, Arizona to celebrate The New Year. We went hiking to Saguaro National Park and had a tour at Old Tuscon. Our stay was awesome specially the bbq area. We ended up grilling for New Years Dinner. Service over all was 5 stars.
- 5/5
Second time at this property, once for work and this time for fun. The full kitchen is great as well as coffee 24/7 in the breakfast area. Close to shopping. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom which is rare but much appreciated! Will go back.
- 4/5
Room cleaning stated as one time every two days but every time you have to call the front desk for arrangement . One time was even missed even we have requested for housecleaning after two days. Need improvement.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Comfortable, safe and quiet
- 4/5
Good breakfast. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Super convenient location
- 5/5
Great stay, friendly staff, clean room. Environment made me and my family feel safe
- 5/5
Homewood Suites is a very good facility, with super-helpful staff. It's location is wonderful. Within a 1 minute walk there is coffee (open at 6am!), yoga, restaurants, a miles-long path to walk, jog or bike, and it is a great location to launch for day-trips. I will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
We loved the location and available parking but that was about it. The standard of service and cleanliness was subpar for a hotel in the Hilton chain. The guest rooms would greatly benefit from a deep cleaning. We considered asking for another room but after speaking with someone staying on the third floor, we decided not to take the chance. Unfortunately the front clerk wasn’t overly friendly either… kind of felt like we were bothering her by just checking in and out. Don’t think we will be staying here again.
- 4/5
Very clean, very convenient hotel. A good, full breakfast was available each day.
- 5/5
We love to stay often with the family. Has many dining options. It’s clean and friendly.
- 5/5
Had a good experience.
- 1/5
We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday morning the dumb market right outside starts blasting music at 7AM! We weren’t warned there was a market who starts blasting music. I notified the front office but both ladies didn’t give to cares about it.
- 4/5
I have stayed here before and everything was great. The second time everything was good except the floor of the room, manily the carpet, was filthy. It turned the bottoms of my socks black. I suggest that a deep cleaning be done for all the carpets in the rooms. Other than that it is an excellent place to stay.
- 5/5
I had one problem, and staff were very quickly able to identify and repair. Very friendly
- 4/5
Property was close to where I needed to be.
- 4/5
Rooms were great
- 5/5
I liked everthing,,,,, a very good opcion to stay
- 5/5
The breakfasts were especially good.
- 3/5
Rooms are much smaller than they appear online. Pull out couch is extremely uncomfortable and our was filthy.
- 5/5
Liked the front desk service and room was nice.
- 3/5
The grounds were not kept up - pool area. My room smelled like chicken from the previous stay. Front desk people were OK. Price was pretty high considering how dirty the pool area was.
- 3/5
Needs more attention on the bathroom and the shampoo was empty the floor was full of hairs.
- 2/5
Nobody cleaned the room in the 4-5 days that I was there.
- 1/5
Sold our room!
- 1/5
Property overbooked the rooms and we had no room available. We were sent to another location with the expectation to return back to this location the next day. Complete inconvenience..very disappointing as we have stayed here many times in the past!
- 5/5
Very unique and lots of walkable shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has so much to do inside and fun things outside. I really enjoyed how spacious the king suites were and how much they provided. The only thing id do differently next time is make sure i dont get a room thats conjoined. The people next to us kept messing with the lock. (It stopped eventually, figured they were curious). And at one point i opened the window for air and the window couldnt close! Beware of that. Otherwise, i love this place!
- 5/5
We stay at Homewood Suites in Tucson often and always enjoy it.
- 5/5
The on dislike, there was no housekeeping daily...we would have to provide a 24-hour notice if we wanted our room cleaned. We just took it upon ourselves to make the beds, give towels to housekeepers who were in the hallway.
- 1/5
We entered the hotel and check in was fne, not great though. The staff seemed slightly confused but it was not too concerning at that point. My family booked two rooms, both of which were in a separate building. We walked to the rooms and noticed messed up hallways and a smell. We then got to the separate building and that was very beat up. Aside from appearances of the walls and floor, the ice machine was missing and the elevator was a disaster, very old and worn. We were all nervous at that point, and the hallway smelled foul. Then when I entered my room I immediately noticed much dirt and debris on the floor and a strong smell. Our second room was also not pleasant. Both seemed not properly cleaned. We have never checked into a hotel and canceled, but I immediately called Hotels.com and canceled, switching rooms was not an option, it was in too bad of shape. I have to say, the hotel did try resolving the smell issue, but it was not going to help, we were all grossed out. If this was the only Homewood Suites I have ever stayed at I would never stay at one again, and although I have had good experiences at them before, I still do not know how long it will be before I stay at one again.
- 1/5
The hotel is absolutely filthy and has strange odors throughout.
- 5/5
Great room and hotel. Location near the restaurant plaza was especially convenient. Even the complimentary breakfast was above average.
- 3/5
Conveniently located at St Phillips Plaza. Reforma restaurant and Ren’s Coffee are definite pluses. But (like many Hilton Hotels) the property isn’t very well maintained and the breakfast options re very minimal — Sara Lee pastries and eggs with sausages and potatoes, and a bowl of fruit. Some dried cereals off on the side, and a few loaves of sliced bread. A big gas fire burns nonstop in the welcome area.
- 5/5
Like bigger bathroom counters comfortable bed and furniture and room temp. HVAC quiet. Need a night light in bathroom as it’s so dark in room at night.
- 5/5
This was our 1st stay at this hotel. We enjoyed having the connecting rooms. It made it really convenient for having our my sister and niece to be close & all in 1 area. The kitchenette has a 2 burner stove, microwave, full size frig, & enough cookware/dishware to make a meal in the room. This was blessing to have! Rooms were clean & any needed extras for blankets/pillows were brought within minutes of requesting them. The staff is friendly & approachable. The parking area is lit very well. Security for door entry is by keycard throughout the property that has an exit/entry door. We felt very safe.
