The staff was great, and breakfast was a hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffles, etc.). Our room wasn't the cleanest; there was hair in the bathroom, and the smell was stuffy and stale. It was suitable for a night.

The hotel is okay. The rooms are remodeled but you can see the old in places the bathrooms are horrible the water pressure not great. The ac is old and makes alot of noise. It takes hours for the ac to cool off.

We stayed at Wyngate in Valdosta for a softball tournament around 12am after driving 4.5hrs as we have before. When we pulled sheets back there was a large what appeared to be urine stain on the bed. Asked for new bedding and was handed sheets by front desk staff. Had to change the bed myself. They did look to see if there were any other rooms available but stated all rooms were booked.

Staff was super kind and helpful. Breakfast was awesome. Nice place to stay when traveling with pets.

All I'll say is I didn't take a shower the one night I was there because I didn't want my feet touching the floor. Damp smell fron the room. Expected more for the price. Quiet, right off the freeway with FREE laundry(say what now). Staff was friendly, dog park/area was clean. Room was clean, bed comfy. ALOT of dining options close by w/ a discount offered at Outback (next door). Definitely will stay here again:)

The only downside to the property was that the pool was cloudy so my kids were disappointed that I wouldn’t let them swim. And an earlier start to breakfast would have been great. We were in town for a softball tournament and had to leave the hotel by 6:30 in order to make our start time.

Opened the door to what looked like a big hair ball from a hair brush rolling across the floor. No ventilation in the bathroom. This is causing the paint to peel off the ceiling and walls. Bathtub drain was clogged.

All the people who work here are super nice and friendly. They answered all my question and were super helpful. Room was clean. Bathroom could've been cleaner it's an older room so it's a bit dingy, needs updating.

Had problems with the timing of the breakfast. Was told at check in that it was 6:00-9:00 went down at 6:00 staff was putting out breakfast and was then told 6:30 went back at 6:45 hot breakfast was roped off and then told 7:00.

No security at my first night sleeping got woken up 3 times between 2 am & 6 am. The carpets in the hallways smell moldy and inside the rooms.

We traveled with our dogs and briefly enjoyed the small dog park.

Convenient from I75. Rooms are nice and the facility was clean Parking can be tight. It was Ok this trip, but previously it was hard to find a spot.

The property has seen better days. The rooms were run down but our bed was good. The breakfast was okay. The gentleman working the breakfast was very friendly.

The location was great. Love it!!! The front desk staff was not nice or kind to me when checking in. I requested a 2nd floor room with a king bed poolside, but she told me that both of my rooms were on the first floor. I told her I did not? I asked her can I get a room poolside 2nd floor, which she finally did. No friendly at all. Terrible attitude and tried to argue with me about my accommodations. She also did not tell me about breakfast or where my rooms are located. That sucks? I had to find out the room locations on my own. I come to this property twice a year and this is the worst stay ever. Breakfast was subpar?

Everything was close, shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The breakfast was on point, especially those grits and turkey sausages ?. The hotel was very clean, and when I was checking in, there were several other workers at the front desk, and each and every one of them was POLITE! OH.. they were happy hrs that starts at 6 with freebies. ? I liked EVERYTHING ? ♥️

The sheets and room was fairly clean. In need of some updates/cosmetics, especially in the bathroom. Also saw a roach on the floor!

There was a bad odor in the room and there was hair in the tub. We were a little later in the evening arriving so I sprayed some perfume in the room and rinsed the tub out myself. We were just tired and ready to go to bed. The beds were not very comfortable. They were hard. Breakfast was good and the staff there was also very friendly and ask if we needed anything.

The night front office lady was lovely, but overall, the hotel is in terrible shape. Very worn and outdated. The morning buffet staff was rude and there was a homeless man wandering the lobby and no staff member addressed it.

I can't think of anything that was good about this property. The room was filthy. The paint on the walls was bubbled due to water damage. The room had a musty odor. The floors were so sticky I kept my shoes on the whole time. I don't think the bathroom floor has ever been cleaned, the grout was filthy. The door to the closet fell off the hinges. The curtains were filthy. Couldn't swim in the pool it was half empty and green. We checked out early due to the filth. I will think long and hard before I stay in another Wyndam property.

We stayed here for one night. It wasn’t the worst place, but definitely not as nice as the pictures. The bathroom door wouldn’t close. The ceiling seemed to be a little coming off. Nothing too crazy but it was peeling and painted over. The gym is extremely small. The property is conveniently located close to places and I-75. It’s not bad for a one night place.

Very impressive front desk staff. Great help in solving a problem we had with the washer/ dryer. Room, parking, beds, shower, and breakfast were all top notch and the overall decore was outstanding.

Great inexpensive hotel for a quick night stop for our family, clean, complimentary happy hour and breakfast. Nothing fancy, definitely a place to rest your heads for the night with no frills, but clean and comfortable.

Thought it was just average overall. Below average from a smell standpoint. All of the common areas smelled like pot. Surface renovations are apparent but when you look at things like door hinges it’s rough. Disappointed I paid about $200 for a night thinking it would be more upscale.

The front desk person was not friendly at all at check in. The room we got was very dated and needs a big remodel. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the pool area looks really nice, the reception area and breakfast was nice and clean. The breakfast area is near the general managers office, while grabbing our breakfast we can hear someone screaming at someone else at the top of their lungs inside the general managers office. Not ok when children can hear this.

The rooms were quite worn down and in need of renovation. Much of the furniture was heavily scuffed and showed significant signs of damage.

Rooms were clean, pool was good. Staff was nice. The only problem was that they offer free breakfast from 7 to 10 and by 9:30 there was no more breakfast. Everything else was perfect.

The hotel itself was nice just had issues in the room. There were issues with the tub/ shower holding water that we had to have maintenence come in to fix. They were quick with fixing it. But then we ended up having issues with the toilet backing up and not flushing. Insect again they fixed it pretty fast. The flooring in the room has what appeared to be water damage as the floor was buckling in areas. The hotel itself was very nice and quiet, staff were friendly and quick to assist in any of our needs. The breakfast was subpar but worked for a quick fix. The location was great kept us in the middle of everything we had planned for the weekend.

For $150 a night you get really rough towels every three days, bath gel, conditioner and shampoo in shower. A rusty tub and no hairdryer. An iron and ironing board but no hairdryer.

Room was old neglected and the smell of sewer inundated the entire room. Check in staff was equal to a robot no personal greeting or interaction. Would definitely never stay at this establishment again.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous!!! The pool area is so impressive. They have an outside area to walk your dog. If you bring one. We did not. However, the rooms did not smell like there was pets even in the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the workers they were so friendly.

The condition of the room and furnishing was unacceptable. I have stayed in various brands of hotels, and this ranks right there with the worst. Out bath ceilings were moldy and flaking off. The tub was in bad shape. the room smelled of straight bleach upon arrival. I was very shocked. The closest ice machine did not work. Tv's weren't working I had to get the front desk to fix them. The room needing updating from a cosmetic stand point.

There were unruly guests who viewed the hallway as a football practice field. Numerous noise complaints, staff did very little. Fire alarm was activated, highly unlikely it was a faulty system. Probably a pulled alarm!

The only staff member we encountered was the check in clerk. She was not rude but definitely not friendly either. The room was clean you can tell they try and keep things clean. The couch smelled very musty. This is a problem if you have allergies. The room needs to be updated. I expected much better based on the reviews.

I stayed here with my dog and it was perfect! The best part was the dog park, which was very quiet, but offered my dog a much needed opportunities to stretch his legs and play on some really fun equipment. Good breakfast comfortable bed really fluffy towels. My room was a little dated and the tub is definitely not new but everything was clean.

We stay here every time we're in Valdosta. The staff is always kind and welcoming, the suite works great for my family and is roomy and clean, the pool is nice and they have a happy hour also.

The friendly and understanding Wingate staff resolved my problem with Hotels.com. I am a bit feeble and old and the room provided for me and my wife was outstanding…it had all the necessities for a handicapped person like myself. Normally I would have requested a 1st floor room with handicapped facilities. However I was exhausted from a long drive and the difficulty with Hotel.com…That I just wanted to get to my room.

This was a lst minute booking for us and it's in a great area to get shopping done and eat at restaurants. The room was clean and quiet, however you will notice it is dated. That is enhanced by the smell/odor that I can only discribe as one of those car air freshiner hanging from a rearview mirror. No doubt is is some kind of ZEP like product meant to extend the life of materials that probably need to be replaced like carpeting. Really if they could get rid of that smell the stay would have been much better, but it was okay for one night on the road.

Overall it was a pretty good property. It was definitely better than I expected. I only have 2 complaints. The hard floors were kind of dirty. My feet felt damp and sticky after taking a shower and drying off so wiped them and dirt came off of them along with hair which was probably mine (I hope). I decided to wear my flip flops after that. My second issue: the bed was a bit firmer than we prefer. We weren't exactly hanging out in the hotel since we were here for an event at SGMP so no harm no foul. We would definitely stay here again since it was reasonably priced and close enough to the race track. We didn't get the breakfast but it looked decent enough. Pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs and maybe sausages, plus your normal cereal, fruit, and muffins.

Refrigerator wasn't working, switched rooms and refrigerator only worked on high freezing everything. No coffee pot in the room.

We really appreciated the friendly staff and the welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was kept perfectly clean and stocked and there were plenty of tables to sit at.

The lady who prepares the buffet for breakfast does a great job it was always delicious and visually appealing. Just for that alone I'll stay again. the hotel is nice in good condition. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok. But the staff were not particularly friendly, and the floors in the common areas and hallways were desperately in need of being vacuumed.

This felt like slightly below a 3 star hotel. The condition, facilities were definitely above a 2 star but not quite 3 star. Nothing wrong. I loved the happy hour with complimentary beer and wine. The breakfast was great. I appreciated the grits. I would stay again.

The front desk staff and maintenance was very helpful and efficient. The 1st room I was in the AC was not working properly. But i was moved to a new room quickly and efficiently. The rest of my stay was wonderful. Check in was easy and so was checkout.

They put us on the first floor of the hotel and there was construction and we had no idea. There was a lot of sketchy people staying at the hotel and I did not feel safe. People were walking with no shirt on and smoking inside of the hotel and nobody did anything about it. The room smelled weird. I would definitely never stay here again.

Rooms were poorly repainted and clearly missing some decor that was meant to be on the wall. The staff was the best part of it all by far. They were kind, attentive, and helpful.

Old and not clean

The hotel was in a great spot, easy to get to and well-maintained. I found a great spot close by for dinner, then enjoyed a glass of wine at the hotel bar with some fellow travelers - and that was a treat. The room was lovely, but the tv gave me trouble. The young lady from the front desk went out of her way to correct the problem. I would return any time my job brings me this way.

The only thing I did not like was several men loitering around the entrance, then when exiting the building a man followed me out and was very complementary. I think he was looking for a girlfriend. I was going to go to the store then to dinner at Roadhouse. Because of concern for my safety I just stayed in my room and called it a night. Good thing I had a few snacks and water.

Clean, quiet rooms. Love that they have hardwood floors. Also, the maintenance of the air conditioners are a plus as it was peaceful and not loud. Food was great!

The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. The only drawback was that the WiFi was out. But they were working on it. Overall a really good stay.

This is our second stay at this location, it is resonable and do not over charge for pet fees. Love the happy hour in the evenings, so nice after driving all day to sit and relax. Thanks again!

Original room faced the highway and was VERY noisy from traffic. I asked to be moved to another room and it was better. Gym was closed for repairs. Breakfast was excellent, and the 6-8pm complimentary happy hour was a nice surprise. Staff was friendly

It was only after the transaction was completed that the desk clerk infarmed me the hotel had been struck by lightning and there was no internet. It did not rain today , so this was not new information. Was unable to update files or work in the room.

This hotel is about 1 step up from a motel 8. Furniture is old and banged up. Bathroom door scraped the floor every time you opened it. Staff was great. When checking in the front desk lady informed us of a recent lightning strike to the hotel which took out their WiFi, elevator and phones. She asked if we were ok with that or if we would rather get a refund. It was a good price for us just to sleep for the night. Great breakfast.

There was a cockroach on our bed alive and moving when we checked in. We immediately requested a new room and the hotel promptly complied, but arriving after a day of travel to find a roach on you pillow soured our stay.

There were literally roaches in the room. The bed was comfortable and the rest of the hotel was ok.

Staff was very great and friendly. Side doors were broken but all together I felt safe. Definitely a place I would recommend.

In all of my years of traveling, I think I can say this was the worst hotel/motel at which I have ever stayed. I was driving long distance for aa move/relocation. Had to stop due to fatigued and thought that a "Wyndham" property would be good. I think the only thing thing that would fix this property would be a fast-moving fire.

Property and staff were great. The breakfast wasn’t too bad either.

We had a svc dog with us. Ground floor room. Close to lobby and dog park. TV volume set very low and could not be changed. No ice nearby...machines not working.

My HONEST review… The hotel lobby was clean and my room was clean, however the bathroom tub was not up to par it was rusty and there were roaches in the bathroom.

Spacious room, comfortable, clean beds. Bathroom needs to be redone/updated. It was difficult to adjust the shower. Hallways were very noisy but the room was quiet. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff.

We love this property- it is our half way stop from SFL to the Smokies. We love this motel, we stayed here at least 15 times in the last five years. Nice dog park- excellent Southern Bkfast.

I stayed in the king suite with pets for 7 days. The bathroom/vanity was clean. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were not clean and the floors filthy...especially the bedroom. I did not raise the issue with the facility as i could not arrange to be there for cleaning service nor remove my pets. Instead i bought supplies and cleaned myself.

On my last night i found a small live roach crawling in my room. I killed it and was ok. 30 minutes later a larger one was crawling in front of my bed. I killed it and went to the front desk, they offered a room change with no problems and i accepted it. Outside of that, my stay was great.

If you ever want to watch the 4th july fireworks, its right outside this hotel.

Very old. Lamp shades need replacing. New paint. Maybe a complete cosmetic redo.

This property was great.

Stayed for the night driving through. Ended up showing up late in the middle of the night, but the hotel staff was wonderful and accommodating. Dog rooms are on the first floor and I’m not sure if that was water or dog pee in the bathroom otherwise the room was clean

The stay was good. Everyone was friendly and the room was okay clean. Long hair stayed on the bathtub, so overall we had a good stay.

When we arrived the hotel looked great at the desk Area. Went towards the room there was food crumbs all over the hallway. Got to our room and it seemed ok other than the fact that the AC wasn’t working in the bedroom area. When we had enough of sweating to death I when to the front desk and the front desk was closed, the office door that the staff walked out of was closed. I tried to look for some but no one. We then proceeded to grab our stuff and get back in our air conditioned car and continue our drive. I would like a refund but i know that isn’t going to happen. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Staff Service

The room was not the cleanest and in the old and dirty bathroom and with the same bathtub the towels and bedsheets had hair on them. Basically an old hotel but still tries to keep it clean? Would not recommend to other travelers.

It was exactly what we were looking for

This was a very nice hotel. They had a great pool and hot tub. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. They even had a free happy hour for adults and PB&J bar for kids. My only complaint was that the outside doors around the building weren't locked and could be accessed without a room key.

It’s a nice place!!

The staff was amazing! My reservation at another place was cancelled by the company 4 days prior to my arrival for graduation weekend. I called this hotel and they were able to accommodate all our plans on short notice. They were incredibly friendly and very hospitable. We had a party planned at the other location and the staff were more than happy to allow us to use the lobby space. The hotel was clean, well kept, and close to everything.

A lot noise in the corridors and the housekeeping since very early it's knocking on your door and they make a lot of noise they don't respect the tiredness of the person..

Arrived at hotel for the first time. Receptionist was very friendly. Arrived during happy hour. Enjoyed a beer & a taco. Morning breakfast was great. Eggs and sausages were delicious along with juices.

This was my first stay at the Wingate in Valdosta, and I really liked everything— the reasonable price, room with a couch, microwave, frig, and coffeemaker. The added happy hour and great breakfast were so appreciated as well. My dog and I will definitely be back!
