Reviews
The hotel is appreciated for its historic charm and cleanliness, but the check-in process and staff availability are inconsistent. The temperature control in the rooms is a common issue.

Very historic hotel. Not a lot of activity going on around town. The biggest draw back is the rooms have no air conditioning and the windows did not open. Our room was 76 degrees when we woke up. I probably would not stay here again. Should have booked a hotel in Cripple Creek.
- 5/5
Old historic hotel with updated rooms. Room was very clean, staff was helpful and pleasant. So much to do near here, so we didn't spend much time in the room. I will stay here again next time in the area.
- 5/5
great stat just stay here
- 5/5
I enjoyed the old theme of the building snd old working elevator, fast no contact check it along with check out.
- 2/5
The rooms were clean. We had to check out a day early due to illness. They sent us a cancellation for the entire trip(2 nights). Never received a refund. Called hotel several times to speak with staff. Was told they would contact us at a later date. No follow up. Would not recommend this hotel
- 5/5
It is a unique experience. Room had character. Not your run of the mill hotel chain. Elevator was installed in 1900 when the town burned down and the hotel rebuilt. The shower in the claw bath tub was a trip. All of the people were extremely friendly. Although limited, the food was good at the bakery and the bar next door. We enjoyed our two night stay.
- 4/5
Very cute, historic hotel. Room was clean and seemed to have been recently renovated.
- 5/5
I didn’t like that there was a rave party going on in the hotel bar and restaurant until 2:30am
- 5/5
The room was super nice and clean. The self check in was very nice as well. There was an issue with getting food after 9 pm though you have to go to the next town over and eat at the casino since the town is so small. Super cute town though very very peaceful.
- 3/5
Unique property with definite charm and mountain locale but unfortunately our room was extremely dirty. Very dusty, hair all over sheets and in the bathroom, towels did not smell clean/fresh and dirty sink. We really liked the digital check in as that can be convenient. Was still an enjoyable stay regardless. Property was quiet.
- 0.5/5
My reservation was canceled due to a water break. They said I would be refunded within 10 days. It's been well over 10 days and I still haven't received my reimbursement
- 5/5
Quaint and quirky hotel. Lovely staff, very nice rooms, if I hadn't booked elsewhere, I would have stayed again.
- 5/5
I LOVE staying at the Victor Hotel.
- 5/5
Room was clean, pretty quiet during our stay. Nice area! Bed was sagging on one side, made it uncomfortable. Otherwise the place is awesome.
- 5/5
This historic hotel was nicely renovated and is a neat place to stay. Clean rooms, quite area we really enjoyed it.
- 5/5
It's a stunning historical hotel in the mountains of Colorado, just a few minutes from Cripple Creek. The staff were upbeat & friendly, room was IMMACULATE & there were many historical photos & decorations. The very coolest part was the antique, working elevator. Gorgeous & very cool to experience!
- 4/5
Beautiful historic building. We enjoyed the history and old pictures in the lobby. Great view of the town & the mountains from our room. The radiator in the room did not work. The small space heater could not heat the room above 64 degrees so quite chilly on a below 32 degree night.
- 3.5/5
Loud people in the streets late at night.
- 5/5
It was a Great stay. Fourth time there for us.
- 4/5
The nostalgic feel and it was clean. Met expectations
- 5/5
Great little hotel in the middle of a historic mining town
- 5/5
Luxury vintage. Step into the past keeping amenities & necessities. Can't wait to visit again. Close to RITA THE ROCK PLANTER free to see Hated to leave. Wanted to stay another night
- 5/5
Loved how the room was set, really cool old time feel. Stepping into the lobby felt like stepping back in time.
- 3/5
There was a poo stain on the bed when I pulled back comforter. Top sheet was put on sideways. Texted the hotel with pictures and got no reply- took 2 more texts and they said they would provide a room credit, none came. Coffee in lobby is not worth using, restaurant is torn apart, and nobody has ever been staffing this place in the 3 times I've stayed. People at the bar couldn't get ahold of anyone to even get in their room. Not sure who's even running it. Disappointed because the building itself is so rad. I wish they would properly manage it.
- 3.5/5
Great elevator It was very strange to never see ANY staff. No advertising for places to eat. We had to walk around and ask locals.
- 4/5
The restaurant close to early
- 4.5/5
It is a beautiful old building that has been well restored. The atmosphere was lovely. There was a little noise from the bar next door, not that the hotel can do anything about that.
- 5/5
Room was very nice, soaking tub was amazing, they had heater running in the room when we arrived.
- 4/5
A good room size. Great location. Very good communications with the hotel team. Looks like the bar is being refurbished. Would have been nice to have an evening cocktail!
- 4/5
It’s haunted To far from the casinos
- 3.5/5
Was nice location Only a space heater in the room with very tall ceilings. Had to run a hot shower to get the room warm. Heater kept up once warm
- 5/5
Clean, easy to find and charming and historic!
- 3.5/5
I loved the brick and windows in the room and the history behind it No ice machine that worked
- 5/5
Clean and very comfortable
- 3/5
There was no staff and the heater didn't work well and air was coming through the windows so we put towels down to help with that the TV didn't work . We were supposed to get an email with a code to get in but instead we had to call. I booked it because on there page with you it said there was a restaurant and bar , its seasonal apparently so we really weren't happy with this choice
- 4/5
Very neat historic hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in/out was effortless. History of this hotel is interesting!
- 4.5/5
The place is an antique building, surprising for me. Was very clean. Good for the price if want to be away from being too close to the casinos. The views going to the hotel were amazing!! There was some kind of noise i think early morning already from maybe pipes or heating system. We slept late and that’s what woke me up both days of my stayed. But other than that was clean and cozy in the room. Love the elevator! Antique as well ?
- 3/5
Well got my confirmation of my room # and code. Got there and someone was staying in my room already. Had to call the office Sunshine that was working came back
- 0.5/5
Everything it was very traumatizing I'm going to sye for breach of contract trauma
- 5/5
Clean room, easy access. The bar next door stayed open after posted business hours doing karaoke that was audible in our room even with the TV on.
- 5/5
The level of cleanliness and quietness!! Never interacted with one human.
- 5/5
Beautiful view. Quaint cozy room. Great customer care.
- 3.5/5
location is great for this very cute town, but town was dead. amazing so many buildings are derelict or simply empty. how could the Victor Gold Mining Company let this happen? they should be ashamed. the tile.floora and carpet in the room were not clean. I had to wipe.up hairs from different people off the floor of the bathroom myself when we first arrived.
- 0.5/5
Room was dirty. Inspite calling emergency number at evening they don’t help at all. Room was smelling bad Room was bad
- 4.5/5
There was no breakfast. All the staff we saw was a guy and a gal cleaning rooms and doing laundry and one person in and out of the building. Staff to talk to would have been nice, but what small staff was there did help us out.
- 3.5/5
It was a beautiful room with lovely view! The old elevator was very interesting and fun to ride. I could here the neighbors and people in the hallway like they were in the same room as us. It was pretty awkward.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Stay was Awesome
- 5/5
It was Great 3 years in a row we’ve stayed there in January. Love it.
- 5/5
Of note: the cafe in the hotel is closed indefinitely. Bar has fried food, hand pressed burgers, freshly sliced veg and was very good! Pizza is also a solid choice with homemade dough and sauce. Coffee shop is eclectic and makes a killer cuppa joe but only open Sat/Sun. Don't miss the bakery in town for soup, sandwiches and top notch pastries. General store has grab and go food, basic provisions. Family Dollar in CC has most everything else.
- 4/5
Clean room & nice staff
- 4/5
Everything was clean. The staff was easy to reach.
- 5/5
Very clean, cozy and everything we needed! Awesome victorian hotel!
- 4/5
Very nice staff.
- 1/5
Room was never cleaned from previous guest. Called the victor hotel guest service number left a message at 9:30 upon arrival. . . Gambled until 1 am upon returning saw nothing was done so my wife and I drove the 1,5 hrs back to the house in Colorado Springs in the early hours of the morning. Extremely disappointed and frustrated
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay very much. Check-in did not require seeing a host, but I thought it was an easy process and the directions were clear. My room looked just like the picture and the whole building was so cool just to walk around - the owner clearly put some work and thought into this historic place. My only issue was that I tried texting both phone numbers to ask how to work the radiator, and they never responded.
- 5/5
Everything far exceeded our expectations. We will be staying there again! There is something to be said about staying in a Victorian Hotel, an amazing and adventurous experience.
- 5/5
The management was super helpful and the self check-in was incredibly easy. Convenient location, recently renovated rooms, and great historical features.
- 4/5
Clean room. Was cold initially but space heaters caught up. Shower head could be upgraded and hot water only lasted about 4 minutes. Loved the modern features with the historic charm. Lots of activity but nothing mean spirited. Exactly what we came for. Will be back!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 1/5
They never sent me my access codes to get in, refused responses and wouldn’t return my money even though I NEVER STEPPED INSIDE THE BUILDING! I hate this place! Will never attempt to stay here ever again. I will always choose Cripple Creek over this!
- 5/5
Room was beautiful lobby was beautiful we will be visiting there again in the future
- 5/5
Very friendly and historic atmosphere. The building holds its an original feel from the past time. Great staff.. Chelsea was very helpful.
- 5/5
Amazing room very clean and modern updates. Loved the historical vibes from the place and the comforting vibes it gave us.
- 5/5
Room was very nice. Walls are thin, but it is an OLD historical bldg, so it's understandable
- 2/5
Shower head was busted and water sprayed all over the bathroom when I turned on the shower. TV needed a literal mechanical engineer to get to work. Thankfully my husband is one. Rent from a VRBO or just stay at a casino in Cripple Creek, this was not deluxe.
- 5/5
Only seven minute drive to Cripple creek Casinos. Very clean and comfortable, great communication with the staff. I would recommend highly for a wonderful place to get away too.
- 4/5
The restaurant was closed and it was a Saturday also no place to eat breakfast! The hotel was nice definitely not well cleaned
- 5/5
The room was cute and had a brick wall which added to the whole ambiance of the Hotel. There was no staff it was a self check in which was fine. There's a lil pizza place across street & a tavern next door. The town is old & very charming if you're into that type of thing. We did take pictures at night & we did get a face of a man in the elevator. Lol. I think it's a hoax but my husband believes it was the man who fell to his desth in the early 1900's.
- 5/5
It was great when we seen the staff they seemed nice.... No breakfast though!!
- 5/5
For a Hotel as old as the Victor it was a wonderful experience to stay at this location. We would stay with these folks again!
- 5/5
This is a self check in property. The old building was fun to stay at. The ghosts did not bother us, I think they enjoyed our music (played softly) Rooms are quiet, we did not hear anyone else.
- 5/5
It is certified haunted, self service check in an check out. Amazing elevator.
- 4/5
Trying to get in the room was a challenge. The first code they sent me didn't work. They had to send me another code which took about five tries before it worked.
- 4/5
I now understand that in Victor Colorado, you need to do extra research to learn if properties have paranormal activity. Tell Henry I said hi.
- 3/5
No staff on duty. Coffee in lobby difficult to figure out. Two systems, no instructions. Room was wide open when we arrived after 9pm. Direct TV - no instructions. Battery power low. Towel rack very loose. 1 hand towel. Relatively clean, except the bathmat which had large stains. Strands of long black hair on one of the bath towels. Not terrible, but you are own your own.
- 4/5
Check in is remote and access is via a texted keypad code, all of which worked fine. Beautifully restored and updated bldg with Colorado's oldest elevator. Our only complaint was that the shower had only two temps: cold and unbearably hot. We'd definitely stay again.
- 5/5
It’s almost a ghost town not many businesses but the Victor hotel was fine.
- 3/5
It seemed like the room wasn’t properly cleaned after the last guest. It was a cute room good for four people.
- 2/5
Bed was not clean. No pillow cases on 2 of the pilloed.
- 3/5
The Hotel is over 100 years old, that’s why we wanted to stay there. There was no front desk to check in but the owners were efficient at getting the PIN code to unlock the room via text message. We knew there was no a/c & that was ok. The floors weren’t vacuumed, there were someone else’s black hairs & dried dead bugs in the bed. An empty plastic cup was on the windowsill, I got bug bites on my shoulder. Went to use a clean folded wash cloth and it had many many hairs embedded in the cloth. I can’t imagine the expense of refurbishing and maintaining a building like this, but the housekeeping needs too be better.
- 5/5
Loved the town, the room and the area. They need to work on check in. When we reserved the room, we were told we would receive the door codes 24 hours before check in time. We texted, as we were told to do, about 3 hours before check in to get codes. No response. We texted one hour before check in time so we knew to head that way, no response. We finally called and were told they had been very busy and we could come. Loved the place, but the check in procedure was VERY frustrating.
- 4/5
Unfortunately, we only had a tiny amount of toilet paper in our bathroom. We tried calling the number provided, but it went to VM. Which leads to the second issue, lack of staff. I know this is supposed to be a "haunted" hotel, but the only evidence of that we experienced was the ghosts of staff that were no longer there! Also, if you have a street facing room in the warmer months, bring ear plugs. There is no AC, so keeping the windows open is necessary. The street noise can be very loud. Not at all a criticism of the hotel, just good to know. Overall, despite some of the "quirks", I would absolutely stay there again - but choose a non street facing room.
- 2/5
The staff was only available by text message. It took three hours for a response about our broken TV. Moved rooms, and there was only cold water in the shower. The room itself was nice, but very disappointed in the service and amenities.
- 3/5
We also thought there was an operating restaurant in the building due to the write up about the hotel but unfortunately not.
- 4/5
Went back in time to 1839. cool
- 5/5
I like the old atmosphere feeling.
- 3/5
The room wasn't cleaned well. There was still food in the fridge from previous guests and hair in the tub. The atmosphere was great. We were disappointed that there isn't actually a bar/ restaurant on site. The ad is misleading
- 5/5
This is our second time at the Victor and will definitely stay again if anywhere close. It is a great historical building and has been updated nicely since our last visit but still has that old historical feel.
- 5/5
Vary clean, historic hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at Victor.
- 3/5
Hotel was average for a historic property. The restaurant wasn’t open in the morning. We never saw other people, but were in late and out early. Tub wasn’t clean and had hair in it.
- 5/5
Beautiful clean rooms in grand old hotel!
- 2/5
Booked a queen bed, got a double bed, the thermostat didn’t work, room got extremely and uncomfortably warm, no staff onsite to with which to get help
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
We didn’t actually stay here because I accidentally booked this location. But everyone helped me out and was very nice.
- 5/5
The property was great. We were the only ones in the hotel on Friday night. It was pretty cool
- 1/5
Had to track down a person to check in. A person brought towels since that hadn't been done prior to our stay. Of the the 3 towels that were brought, 2 had dark stains. Only stayed the first night of a scheduled 3 night stay because we changed our plans due to the inadequacies of the hotel. They still charged us for all 3 nights.
- 5/5
Hotel has great potential, but feels like no one is caring for it. Lobby was chaotic in decor and restaurant permanently closed. But the pizza place across the street saved our visit. Wish the elevator worked.
- 4/5
Room was super hot
- 1/5
They had just opened the kitchen and food was less than good, website is misleading cause no bar, restaurant is a fast food room and not really a restaurant, website needs updated! Had a water line break but was able to fix enough to stay open but had no hot water the next morning for a shower.
- 4/5
Thanks for the hospitality!
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel.
- 5/5
The check in was easy, the staff were kind, and Victor is a beautiful destination!
- 5/5
The rooms were really nicely done, and the area is beautiful. The ghosts were also friendly. We were on the 4th floor and they moved a few of our things around!
- 1/5
We was there last year & loved it!!! This time sucked.. There was no hot water for our weekend stay.. We called & was told it was getting fix.. Had to go shower else where..
- 1/5
The rooms look ok. There was no hot water for 3 days and the elevator was not working. They put us on the fourth floor when the whole place was pretty much empty
- 1/5
We walked into someone elses room... worst experience ive ever had with a hotel. Troed to call someone and no one was available of course
- 5/5
This hotel is for someone who appreciates the historical significance and unique qualities of a time gone by. There was a problem with the hot water and it was repaired within about an hour of being reported.
- 2/5
Oh, and we found a random working lighter in the sheets. Anyways.. cool to visit and experience during the busy season maybe? We stayed in the dead of winter so I do recognize that we were there during the off-season. Regardless I think there are a few quick fixes that would make guests feel safer and more comfortable! We have no ill feelings towards the property or the owners/hosts, just isn’t for us.
- 5/5
Motorcycle trip. Cool hotel. Quiet. Nice room. First time in Victor. Would recomm
- 4/5
An absolutely beautiful place. The town is older and the buildings are made from brick. We were there in the fall so it was a bit cold but they give you space heaters in your room which make it quite toasty.
- 3/5
OMGosh our room had a window fan in it (for summer) BUT IT WAS 40 degrees outside & IN OUR ROOM !! tried to call management, left message about the fan letting COLD air in !! no call back (for 2 hrs) so I pulled the thing out myself & closed the window ! BEING a HISTORICAL HOTEL the windows (both) leaked so much air we had to put towels in the windows & keep the blinds closed !!! And the Radiator heater did not WORK ! WE HAD to get a plug in heater from another room (which had door open & 2 heaters in the OTHER ROOM) so we would have some form of heat ( at 33 degrees that night) ! Management called BUT excuse of the "significant weather change!!! they weren't prepared for ??? NO ONE SITE person at this hotel !!! WOW what happens in an emergency... kinda like THIS> no heat. Next morning the PERSON came in.. Opps we are not sure why the room didn't have a heater in it. RADIATOR didn't work either ?? Boiler has to be turned up ". NO ONE THER TO DO THAT LAST NIGHT> W O W
- 3/5
I try to give very honest reviews. The hotel was clean. It is a very neat/well kept historic building. Our room was spotless. Their advertisement is misleading. There is no staff. There seems to be one poor lady cleaning rooms. That’s it. They send out automated texts and ask you to reply with times you are checking in, when you anrrive and when you’ve left. It says to respond with any concerns. However, when you do they never answer I’m assuming it’s all A I. I tried for three solid days to contact them about adding another day. I tried the phone number, left messages, and answered every text with no reply from them. The elevator was broke so they only booked floors 2 and 3 which was fine. There is no open restaurant or bar. There is a sign on the bedroom wall saying they have a lack of staff. I’m glad we got to stay there, and that it’s still open, but they need to be honest in their advertisements. If you needed help, or needed anything at all, you would be out of luck.
- 2/5
Up all night from guests we could hear below us. No one to contact to help us with this. We were looking forward to enjoying our stay in this unique hotel in this cute town.
- 4/5
Historic building, Enjoyed the history of the area.
- 4/5
We had a great weekend at the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. The hotel is ingreat shape considering how old it is.
- 5/5
Unique experience in the mountains of Colorado, you can feel the history of this town and nearby Cripple Creek. Great room, clean and updated nicely. Worth the trip!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel.
- 5/5
It has nice little historical significance around the area.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. I will definitely come back for another stay.
- 5/5
I love staying in old hotel that keep their old time charm!
- 5/5
The Hotel had a great atmosphere and the room was extremely comfortable. When we arrived the staffed made us feel very welcome and at home. It had a very romantic atmosphere which was a tremendous extra. I would highly recommend this establishment!
- 4/5
Secondly, the elevator was not working. After a day of hiking and driving, we had to climb four flights of stairs with our luggage, which was difficult for people not used to the altitude.
- 5/5
Wonderful and newly renovated hotel. No staff members present but none needed. Wish there were a few more open restaurants/bars.
- 1/5
Room was ok but lobby is filthy. My tv didn’t work but just had a blue screen you can’t turn off, hard to sleep. Nobody here to help. The doors are open to the street and people coming in and out all night
- 5/5
The hotel has been upgraded and the room looked new on the inside, including the beds, which were very comfortable.
- 5/5
The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Other than the elevator being down ( we were told in advance) that was the only issue. Would stay in the hotel again.
- 5/5
The town of Victor itself has historic appeal, but it has not been redeveloped to nearly the extent of nearby Cripple Creek. There are a lot of properties that are empty and run-down, so it's not all picturesque. Overall it has a rather empty feel, which may not appeal to everyone. However if you want to stay in the area and you don't want to be next to a bunch of casinos, it's a reasonable choice.
- 5/5
It was really cute ! But the area around the property was so so … otherwise the hotel had a certain charm.
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
Our stay was great. The bed was comfortable. The hotel and town are full of history. Our only complaint is that the elevator was not working.
- 1/5
We went to go to our room and our door was open- come to find out someone was already sleeping in our room. We traveled from Texas needing a place to stay the night and we had no where to go since someone was in our room
- 5/5
Nice old historic property with a lot of character
- 3/5
Was self check in so no staff working on property. Our room was right next to another business which is a bar so it was very noisy until after midnight. Not much privacy, can hear people in room above and next door. Very limitef dinning and shopping.
- 4/5
Hotel was built in 1899. Beautiful area and small town. Quiet peaceful
- 3/5
We’ve stayed at the Victor Hotel 3 times, the 1st 3 experiences were great! It’s really unfortunate that they had flooding that affected the 4th floor down to the kitchen but a heads up when I specifically requested the 4th floor when I booked as well as the food options, would’ve been good to know. The guy cooking outside was very friendly and worked very hard, the food was delicious even though it wasn’t what we expected. We love Victor & hope to come back some day just think communication could step up a little bit with unexpected events :)
- 4/5
I loved that they kept the old brick and as much of the originals as possible. It was a classic room that was clean and cute with the necessary amenities. I was bummed that the antique elevator wasn’t working and that we didn’t get a claw foot tub, but everything else was excellent.
- 3/5
We had some negatives including trash and a diaper left in the wastebasket and soiled surfaces not cleaned properly in the tub which also made us wonder if the bedding had been changed or just remade behind the last tenants. Of course there is nobody available at the front desk to handle minor issues like this or more towels when the reservation was for three and the room is only supplied for two. Coffee and lemon water only in the lobby in the AM and the coffee pot was empty with nobody around to refill it. The property has great potential but did not meet our standards during our stay.
- 5/5
Very easy self check in. Very informative communication about the elevator being out of order. The room was remodeled and very cute. Comfortable beds and clean.
- 4/5
This was a neat old hotel. The lobby was decorated in historic furniture and the room had the same vibe. The antique elevator was broken, so we had to climb the 3 flights of stairs, but they warned us ahead of times if we needed to switch rooms. Our door code wouldn’t work when we checked in late at night, but one quick call waking up the poor emergency line and they immediately opened it for us. Beds weren’t the most comfortable, but overall it was an ok stay. Loved the coffee shop on the corner in the morning.
- 3/5
As an historic dedignated building, the Victor has such great potential. Our room was beautiful and the bed/linens were superb. But the entire property needs more attention. In our room the shower was too weak to wash my wife's hair and the towel rack was falling off the wall. In the lobby, the coffee station was not sufficiently stocked and the jug of iced lemon water has a broken handle which falls off with each use. I hope the property survives because it deserves greater attention.
- 5/5
We had a great time , the girls that are running it are a hoot. Made us feel comfortable and accepting.
- 1/5
Abandoned front desk, broken elevator, no carpeting, bed not made up. No answer to phone calls. Refused to refund. Did not stay there, would not stay there. STAY AWAY.
- 4/5
Hotel is currently undergoing remodeling secondary to a leaky fire suppression system. The room we were in was in good condition but the elevator was out of service and the outer corridor and one staircase was not yet re-carpeted. We had difficulty at check-in with a door code that did not work but contacted hotel staff who resolved the issue. The room was missing tissue, shampoo, and one bedside lamp did not work. Should better as renovations progress. The recommended Resturant next to the hotel was excellent.
- 5/5
The stay was wonderful. The staff was amazing
- 3/5
Completely unnecessary postings all over about covid restrictions that are no longer there.
- 5/5
Great old hotel with lots of character with enough "modernization" to make it comfortable. Will definitely stay again.
- 4/5
It is definitely old but cute and clean hotel. Check in/out is all done by text communication, which I didn't mind at all. We got too hot in the night since they have steam heat system and we dont have a control for it. We opened the window to cool it down but it wasn't easy to close again since its old double hung window.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved our stay here. It was comfortable and cozy. The manager was also our bartender and she was awesome! Hard working staff.
- 3/5
Loved this place! Only thing was we got cold, couldn't turn up heat and couldnt get more blankets. No one would answer phone or return our call.
- 5/5
Comfy, comfortable, clean and historic. 5 stars.
- 5/5
Property was clean and kept yp
- 5/5
Staff was ready to help us, and willing on short notice. Didn't like the door code, everyone had problems with it. Very clean and no bugs.
- 3/5
Room was average. Heat was hard to control and at times the room was extremely hot. There’s a bar next door and it played music until very late at night. Not only could we hear it - we could feel it in our room. Which poses challenges to sleeping well late at night. Victor restaurant was not able to manage the small lunch rush - he was flustered and agitated with those that were there to eat or have a cocktail.
- 3/5
Staff said they did not have water bottles. Why not?
- 4/5
My daughter and I came in for the Ice Castles and Troll Rita. Had never been to Victor and enjoyed learning the history of the hotel. There's something about it that's so unique. Our stay was enjoyable 😊
- 5/5
This property is very unique. Loved how they kept the theme of the gold rush.

The hotel is very quaint. We never really spoke to anybody. We were given codes to the doors to check in. The room itself was nice. Bed was comfy. Found a few nuts on the floor. I slept horribly though because the room was so hot, even with the radiator turned to 0. I could hear the guy next door snoring and the pipes make a horrible clanking noise all night long.

This is an unusual hotel. You check in remotely and don’t interact with anyone. The property itself is an old hotel built in 1899. It is well maintained and the rooms are comfortable as is the bed. It’s a bit noisy with pipes gurgling. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the area who wants a comfortable place to experience a little of the old west.

The shower was nasty, hair everywhere, dirty comforter, and even the blanket. Pillows were old and nasty.

It wasnt what the pictures showed. The code to get in the front door didnt work, so we stayed in Cripple Creek

Great place to stay if your in the area. Very unique old school feeling. The bar and food downstairs was pretty good and don’t mind the hotels mascot Copenhagen he’s one of the friendliest dogs you will meet.

I love the history and character in this hotel.

These rooms are refurbished nicely. The lobby and the outside of the building needs some work. A bit disorganized as far as the check in process as it is all by text. There is no front desk or on site contact.

The property is beautiful. We loved staying here.
