Rooms and common areas are always clean. There is a great patio on the 3rd floor with glass panels to relax on a chase and enjoy the view of the beach on really hot days. Breakfast is really good with the ability to personalize it from the grill and at a good price. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Front lobby windows were smudged with fingerprints the entire stay. Other than that, it was an average stay. The staff was great though. 😊

Everything was great. It was a long weekend getaway and had no problems at all. The staff was accommodating and really nice. I was on the sundeck level and had a couple lounge chairs that blocked the view from my balcony and I put them down. I saw one of the staff setting them up and asked if he wouldn’t mind leaving them down. He said no problem. It’s not some major thing, but he was nice about and asked if the ones next to them would be helpful being down. Just that small simple little bit extra says a lot about.

The assistant general manager was at the front desk when we were leaving and he was super nice and professional. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view, despite the outdated, and obviously worn decor. We enjoyed a show at Dome, and returned to no A.C. we dined and had drinks at Catch and had to go on elevator to floor 2, to use the restroom.

The hotel was clean. The view was great and the bar food was good. My only issue is the self parking was $25 a day opposed to the $15 a day listed on their website. The garage itself was 20 but yiu would have to pay foe going in and out.

I come to this hotel multiple times a year and this year they upgraded my room for my birthday no cost to me.. The year my birthday fell on a weekend they gave me free valet.

The room was nice and clean check in and out was nice and smooth. Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed for 4 nights and there was no housekeeping at all. I even called for items that we needed and complained about no service, they said they'd send someone up. . . I found a bag thrown in the middle of the room with some of what I asked for but still no service. The common areas were clean though.

I really liked the food. It was very delicious. The view was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was really nice, but a little confusing. I didn't like how it was only two entrances. The hotel allowed pets and was pet friendly but it wasn't designed for pets in mind. It was very difficult to walk our pets with only there being one entrances which is the main busy lobby. We didn't like that the drive way was very small and the parking area was separated and felt like it was handicapped friendly. The room was clean, however all our pillows had visible stains on them that were unappealing but I did let the hotel staff know and gave them photos. And was luckily glad we had brought our own blanket and pillows. We also had a few problems with pricing issues. We weren't aware of all the fees when we first got there even though we paid our booking in advance. And feel like there still errors with the fees that still need to be addressed.

This is not the best Hilton hotel. It is like a budget Hilton and is operated that way. We requested our roomnto receive towels and cleaning it didn't happen even though we spoke to front desk. There is no room service. When I went to look for towels found a room that was linen closet. It was more looking like something from the back of a warehouse. You don't want to know where your sheets, pillow etc are kept...it's no wonder more people don't get a rash or something. I don't think I will stay at a Hilton Garden Hotel again.

The staff was super kind and professional. This includes valet, porter, bar and reception. The hotel is in an ideal location. My only issue is that some guests don't know hotel etiquette - gregarious conversations need to be saved until you've left the hallways. So many adults talking in the hallway and random children running up and down the hallway.

One of our towels was dirty & shower had hair in it.

The hotel was very clean inside and around the outside of property. It is dog friendly with a reasonable fee for a stay. The bathroom was spotless. The soaps were the large pump ones on walls. The towels were thick, the water pressure good. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, Keurig, microwave and mini-fridge in our room. Lots of storage space. Comfortable bed with large pillows. Fast elevator. Fresh water in lobby. Excellent restaurant on site. We did not use the breakfast buffet. The parking was $25 a night, not $18 as listed. Did not use pool but there were people enjoying it and it looked very clean. The only negative of the stay was the room heat/air that sounded like a jet engine while running. We were on 12th floor with breathtaking view. We enjoyed the balcony.

The beach view was perfect. The worst 2 days of my stay was my bed. It was hard as rock and mattress should be thrown out. There was a dip on right side, so every time I moved to other side I would end up on right, just like sliding down hill. The linen definitely could use some fabric softener and some adult size washcloth. Breakfast was ok, 15.00 and that was not the buffet either. Could improve on all of those things.

The room was average at best. But worst was a waterfall leak coming out of the bathroom fan at 1am, when my wife and I had to be up early the next day. I was the level headed one, because my wife was pi$$ed. The hotel moved me to another room, but I had to move all of my things myself. The valet simply dropped off a new room key without saying a word. I was given my parking free and a $20 coupon for the food market to buy some chips and candy🙄. Oh, and the night I checked in after traveling 8 hours, I was told the bar and restaurant closed at 9. Nine. Really?Needless to say, I checked out a day early and just went home.

The room was clean , I love how it’s not carpet & it’s vinyl wooden floors. The beach view is amazing! You’re near the Neptune Statue. You literally can just walk straight to the beach. Staff was great. Parking is kind of pricey $25, it honestly show be free.

The staff were amazing! Very friendly and willing to share recommendations. Whenever we had questions they were so kind and we had some fun conversations. They even greeted our pup like she was family. The hotel was clean. The room had a gorgeous view (we saw dolphins swimming first thing in the morning). There were great spaces for our teenagers to take photos. The only thing we would change would be to add a door to the bedroom in our suite.

The heat was not working. I let them know and they don't care .

The room was spotless and very clean. No dust and clean walls! Everything was neat and smelled nice. The breakfast was amazing but it’s $17 per adult with tax each morning and about $9 per child . The worst part of the reservation was PARKING! You have to pay for parking each night which is $25 per night and the garage is a block away from the hotel. So you have to walk back and forth. Valet is $30 a night. Other than that I recommend this hotel. It’s quality at its best!

Unfriendly staff and poor room condition - with ventilation sysyem making such terrible noise that kept us up at night. Told the staff several times about the problems and HVAC system noise- they completely ignored it :(. Also, they charged us for parking that was not mentioned when we made the reservation.

My husband and I booked a weekend getaway for our 27th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The front desk wished us a happy anniversary and gave us a complimentary breakfast for our stay. We received calls and texts asking if anything was needed. Our needs were met immediately. The staff in the breakfast restaurant were very attentive and friendly. For our last night, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant, and it was delicious! Again, quick service, the staff was very friendly. Overall, the hotel was spotless, quiet, and close to just about anything you needed. We look forward to staying here again!

I booked this at 12:30 am after we had checked out of another hotel that had issues. When i went to the desk to check in I was told I couldnt check in till 4pm that evening. She was doing her audit and i was out of luck. So i went down the road and got another room. When we did check in the room was clean but we wished we would have stayed at the other place but they were booked.

The hotel and customer service was really nice. Only complaint I had was the pool being cold after I was told it was a heated pool, maintenance was called, no one ever showed up to fix or adjust. That was a huge reason my family and I chose this particular hotel because of the indoor pool, additional activity when it’s too cold outside to enjoy the beach. Very neat and clean establishment.

Very noisy upstairs and neighbors next door. Staff offered barely a sorry . Got locked out room and maintenance had to come as the safety lock had activated which i thought was bizarre. Amongst other things and front desk was just clueless

Room was decently clean. The couch was filled with stains. Large empty alcohol bottle was behind the curtains in the room in the one corner. Staff were… decent but not the happiest. Valet also tried triple charging me until I called it out when we checked out.

The check in/out was excellent. The room was exactly as listed on the site. The room was very clean and spacious. The only drawback was the dim lighting at night but the location was excellent as well as the balcony view. Beautiful morning sunrise. The attendant for check in was very cordial and was easy to speak with. Everything worked smoothly. I would certainly revisit and refer family.

Best Location and very clean property.

They have no parking. They charge you for the privilege of being able to park in a parking garage across the street. This should be included as an amenity, not something you have to pay extra for. What hotel doesn’t include parking as an amenity? Then you have to pay a $100 deposit that you might eventually get back in a few weeks. Parking costs about $25 a day. You think they would at least include a complementary breakfast or something after making you pay all of these hidden costs and having to walk a mile (flights of stairs in parking garage + walking to the garage) but no. They give very little for what they charge you.

The a/c was so loud you could not hear the tv or sleep. People were smoking pot right beside our room you could not even sit on your balcony

Wonderful hotel with fantastic staff. Our only complaint was that the pool heater was not turned on and therefore it was way too cold to swim in the indoor or outdoor pool. I was also really looking forward to enjoying the sundeck but they had it closed starting Friday morning all the way to Sunday morning for a wedding that took place sometime Sunday where only maybe half of it was used. I think it would be beneficial to adjust set up times that allow guest to still enjoy that immenity sometime during the weekend.

Impressed with the friendliness of staff. I had to go to the front desk for an issue, the lady there was doing something on the computer and never even acknowledged me. Finally another worker came up and offered to help. The beds in the room were so hard that I had to sleep with pillows under me(I understand this is a matter of preference). The AC unit in the room was so loud it sounded like a jet getting ready to take off every time is turned on. I didn’t sleep well due to waking up each time the AC came on. They charge a parking fee, however the parking garage elevator was down the entire time causing us to have to walk up 5-6 flights of steps each time unless we wanted to pay extra for a valet. I witnessed several families have to walk the ramp up 5 stories with a stroller because they couldn’t take the elevator and couldn’t navigate the steps with a stroller. I don’t think I’d choose this hotel to stay at again.

The room had a great view. Beds were clean and neat, though not the most comfortable. Bathroom cleaning was not completely thourough. The parking deck only allowed Valet parking on the first two levels and the elevator was out of order, so that was rather inconvenient. Parking was not included in the price of the room either, so that was an extra charge. Overall we had a decent stay, but there is certainly room for improvement.

Nice boardwalk hotel.

Perfect location, straight onto the beach, plenty of nice places to sit and read. I highly recommend the 3rd floor with easy access to the large sun deck. À great place to watch the sunrise. Lagerheads restaurant has delicious beach food, and many other great places in walking distance. I’ve peeked in at the other nearby Hilton properties and this one has the best combination of amenities for us.

The stay was nice. The front desk staff were very friendly. However, they should improve housekeeping. We called several times requesting more tiles on two separate days and no one came. Also, parking prices were good but the separate parking lot’s elevator was out we had to park on the 6th level. No one informed us of this the elevator outage at all and we were not in the best condition to climb 6 flights of stairs. For the future, guests should be informed of these types of issues ahead of time.

Enjoyed my visit. Would suggest decaf tea and real milk at the morning coffee bar in the lobby. I think the outdoor pool needed a cleaning. Each day I stopped off to relax in the afternoon and found bugs and tree leaves, etc. floating in the pool. One of the other guests was skimming the pool in between dips to try to make it comfortable for everyone (but that should not be the guest's job). Otherwise, my room was satisfactory, the location was good, and I did not have trouble finding great places to eat along the boardwalk and further afield. All of the interactions I had with hotel staff were pleasant.

Computer systems were down when we arrived. While not completely in their hands, it wasn't pleasant for us either. After a 9 hour drive we had to wait another 3 hours with two children just to start the process of checking in. It took another 30 minutes to get us into a room. For almost the entirety of our stay only one elevator was working (fixed on the last day/night). While they did allow us to use the staff elevator, it let us out next to the garbage area which was less than ideal albeit faster. It took over an hour to get our car from valet one night and the next morning it took so long we took the keys and got the car ourselves. Housekeeping was strange, the first two days they did not come until the afternoon. The third day the employee woke up the kids when she knocked to clean. The hotel itself was clean, though the pool wasn't. Beds left a lot to be desired in terms of comfort. And the force needed to open the balcony doors is not for the feeble traveler. All in all, the stay left a lot to be desired. Probably wouldnt stay at this location again.

Had a great stay here . Deandre was amazing! Saw to our needs right away and was kind and attentive. However the housekeeping team could have done better with cleanliness. Sheets were never changed and the floor had lots of sand and grime on it , and we hadn’t even gone in the beach . Also phone didn’t work and was never replaced .

Overall I would strongly advise management to step it up.

We stayed from from 8/10/25-8/15/25. Fromt the beginning, checking in took over 20 mins from waiting in line to getting checked in. 1 out of the 2 elevators werent working & it seems like thats a recurring issue. Room was clean & beds were soft & comfy. Hotel breakfast was pretty good too with buffet & made to order items. Lagger heads restaurant was really good also - went there twice for food & drinks. Pool was cold with no towels & not enough chairs. The pool board stats hadn't been updated since 7/13/25. Phones were also not working most of the time for internal & external calls. Some front desk associates can be a little rude. We tried staying another night to enjoy the beach but were told it was "probably booked" we had to ask if he could check to confirm but hung up after being on hold for 10 mins so we did not extend our stay. Lastly, we used valet & couldnt call them as phones were still down so i had to go down to the lobby & ask the assoc to let them know we needed our car. Valet was out & instead of leaving a message with my valet #, she told me to wait for them. After waiting for 5 mins, she leaves valet a note with someones elses valet number. She saw me waiting & was ready to leave before i stopped her & asked if she could also write my number down so I wouldn't have to wait. She paused, didnt say anything & did it but her face said a lot. This location is great, hotel is nice but needs work. Not worth what we paid.

Housekeeping did not clean on one day of my stay. We could not get clean towels. We had to use our beach towels. I called the front desk. I was told someone would be up in a couple of hours. No one came. When I spoke to them again they told me they were overbooked.

We enjoyed our stay in an oceanfront room. The pool was nice and the restaurant was good. Lots of entertainment within walking distance. The beach was very nice and clean and loved seeing the dolphins swimming in the distance everyday.

We had an awesome time visiting Virginia Beach for the first time. We booked the Hilton Garden Inn Oceanfront for a King size bed, but upon checking in, it turned out to be a busy weekend so we were offered the 2 Queen bedroom and they added complimentary breakfast. We appreciate that. Check in was smooth, the front desk was always pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping and staff at the restaurant were all friendly and accommodating too. We were bumped into the 14th floor which was the top floor, had the most amazing view of the beach and sunrise in the morning. It has microwave which we really needed to heat our baby’s food and milk. We love everything except some issues with the door lock (I guess it just comes with time). But they were quick to send someone to guide on us on the workaround. Also, parking isn’t included. We did valet for 30 a night, which was worth the convenience. There were lots of food and drink places around. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. Would love to come back again!

Hotel is in great condition compared to other ocean side hotels. Room could be cleaned more thorough(under furniture, dust on walls etc) but overall good. Elevators are always packed so I recommend staying at a lower floor so you can use the stairs. Staff is friendly and accommodating

There was a piece of poop in the elevator, the bedroom floors were sandy and sticky, dead flies killed on the ceiling of room 1014, late night check in staff not welcoming

Started off rocky as room was not ready at 4pm as noted by the check in time. I had to stand in line twice to check in before finally getting a digital key and just going up to the room myself. Room felt sandy, as to be expected when staying at beach front property. Other then that perfect stay! Property ryte on the beach which provides easy access to and from. Indoor / outdoor pool was just as relaxing with food and drink service from the attached restaurant. Valet parking was $30.00 (unlimited in and out) or use the same garage for $25, i opted to just pay the extra $5.00. Breakfast runs from 7a-11a during summer and it was great! Will definitly be returning here!

No air conditioning in restaurant lagerheads and fdrinks very overpriced. Elevator was broken. They gave us someone else’s room when we arrived so we walked in on someone in the shower. Homeless guys were living on the boardwalk and beach right outside at night and no security. Valet area was too small and crowded so hard to pull in and out with car- dont try with an SUV or large pickup.

Leave a night early. When the a/c did work it sounded like you were in a wind tunnel. I asked my daughter why she slept on top of the bed and she said there was hair on the sheets. I thought she was full of it, but then I looked and sure enough it looked like someone’s black lab slept there. House keeping changed the sheets. The room felt old and dingy. Also parking is $25 a day. If you book be aware. Thats not in the cost. I did the valet, which I guess was easier, but one dude reminded me every time I saw him that they work for tips. Thanks bud, got it the 1st time. The breakfast place flat out sucks. Do not waste your money. Would I stay here again. Absolutely not!

The uniqueness was the resemblance of a third world hotel but in the U.S. Maybe because the thought of proving to notch servo and accommodation to what appeared to be mostly armed force members and their family’s is beyond the realm of the brand.

This is a gem! We decided on a last minute trip for July 4 weekend. We were pleasantly surprised. There was a lot to do within walking distance and the beach was super close and easily accessible from our room. The staff was always helpful. We are convinced after our first time that this will be our first choice from now on. Great job! Great staff! We had a great time!

Very nice property with 2 restaurants, located right on the beach.We very much enjoyed our stay. The only negative was that one of the elevators broke the last day of our stay which made getting our luggage out a little difficult and time consuming due to the long lines. On a positive note, the location, room, amenities, restaurants, and staff were all fantastic!

They have 2 elevators and 1 was down during check in and is was broken again during check out. It took way longer to get in and out of the room. We hot a balcony so we could see the fireworks but the building is blocked from thebuilding next to it. Then we missed the fireworks waiting for the elevator. The pool is very small. It was a lot of money for what you get in my opinion. Also the front circle is a huge cluster.... I would say more of a fire hazard all together. We have been avid customers of Hilton products. We will not go back to this Hilton location ever again.

Perfect location . Nice bedroom/ bathroom. Two negatives : Noise air conditioned in the bedroom that made us turn it of several times but the room was not that hot. Second is the strong smell of fried food in the lobby and the restaurants including outdoors. Need to be fixed . Otherwise we had a good experience .Perfect walkable location to the beach , bars, restaurants

The pool at the hotel was nearly unusable. Not only was it not oceanfront and next to main road traffic, but the pool itself was dirty and crowded. The indoor pool literally had 0 chairs and was so tight that it too, was unusable. I usually enjoy the pool & beach on my trips but didn’t have the option here to comfortably use the pool. I had to constantly ask for my room to be serviced which is unacceptable. Housekeeping wouldn’t refill tissues, toilet paper or makeup wipes unless I specifically requested and had to make my way downstairs to retrieve those items. Towels were frequently dirty. Pillows had rips and stains on them. The floors in my room were never vacuumed or cleaned and constantly full of dirt or sand, even when I first checked in. My shower curtain had filthy stains on it and when I asked for it to be replaced, housekeeping left a new shower curtain in a bag on the outside of my door as if I was expected to replace it myself. I asked to have my bed sheets changed and of course, those directions weren’t followed. The lobby floors were constantly wet and left uncleaned for longer than they should’ve been which was a tripping hazard. Hallway carpets were stained and filthy too. Overall, the hotel was less than mediocre and I wouldn’t return, nor would recommend anyone to stay here.

My family and I loved our stay! The suite was FABULOUS some floor to ceiling windows. Hotel sits right on the beach, the restaurant was amazing, the flounder with stuff crab so yummy. Many shops in walking distance and restaurants. Hotel was very clean staff was so professional and friendly we really loved it and are looking forward to returning it was perfect!

My family and I visited for a weekend and the hotel was conveniently located on the boardwalk which was amazing. The hotel was clean and modern. We enjoyed our room and the balcony view we had of the beach. Would definitely return.

Was a really good experience- staff were friendly and helpful - view was amazing. The bed and towels were comfy. Shower was hot! Water and coffee in the lobby were delicious! Really nice! Nice location and the food from the restaurant smelled fantastic! -- Pool looked inviting too!

Great breakfast, nice room. Except for one of the elevators not working, which is temporary, it was still a nice experience. Definitely recommend the hotel.

It is poor experience because I spend almost 1000 dollar in this hotel and the valet guys stole my headphones that’s cost me $250. When I track my headphones, it shows me that they are in the location that I was staying. I’m at two hours away from the hotel, so I’m not gonna go get them or asking a refund. It’s just sad because I still pay $60 to for this service. I spent a lot of money at this hotel and and I still get this poor service.

The staff was rude the beds were very hard only one elevator worked the staff does not care and will literally nothing to assist and only offer excuses rather than address concerns you raise. Go spend your money on literally any other hotel than this place I go to Virginia Beach several times a year and I would literally sleep on the beach than stay in that hotel ever again sleeping in my car would have been more relaxing that sleeping here

The property was clean and all of the staff that we encountered was customer focused. A special shout out to DaReece in the grab & go breakfast area.

This is a very convenient hotel with a beautiful view of the beach. It is a typical HGI with good services. I found the room fine, the bed comfortable but the sheets very scratchy. The bathroom was clean and good enough. The bar has a fabulous bartender named Katie and the service and food there was top notch. The drawback for my stay was that only one elevator was working and there would be a line to use the elevator. I am able bodied and would have had no problem using the stairs but no one thought to keep the lower door unlocked over the three days I was there to facilitate use of those stairs. Perhaps there is a regulation against that but not having stair access and only one elevator was a problem for the three nights I was there. Overall, this is a decent place - not bad but not wonderful. Would not stay here again and would look at other options should I return to Virginia Beach.

This is accually the second time I stayed at this property and both times have been horrible. 1. Valet was backed up on to the street every single time, there were multiple people complaining. 2. Arrived at 5 pm , check-I was at 4 we waited an hour for our room, because it was not ready. 3. No carts available. 4. Both times we stayed at this hotel, they only had one elevator available. Every time we needed the elevator was at least a 10 min wait. The worst breakfast, one waffle iron for a 12 floor hotel, and only one waitress , couldn’t even get a second cup of coffee. Out of all the ocean front hotels, I would skip this one.
