Fairfield Inn by Marriott Rochester East

Upon our arrival we were told by the desk clerk that he could not find our reservations for two rooms. These rooms were booked and prepaid. I showed him our receipt but was told that there were absolutely no rooms available. After much prompting on our part he called his supervisor who found us two handicapped rooms. Not what I had reserved so we were able to change rooms the next morning. Then I got a text from our credit card company that we had been charged $640.00 for a room that had already been paid for. Desk clerk couldn't tell me why he charged us that amount and told me to speak with the desk clerk who was working the next morning. She didn't have the authority to refund us the $640.00. Finally on the last morning of our stay the error was corrected. Anne who works mornings serving breakfast was excellent - the breakfast buffet was well stocked and she was welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Place was extremely quiet which was refreshing staff extremely courteous and helpful. Too bad pool was closed down the kids were disappointed. Rooms were clean spacious enough.

The room was clean and a nice size. The sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable but most of them are. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I saw no sign of bugs of any kind.

I have been trying to sleep for hours. I can hear everything in the room next to me. No fault of the people next door, but why can i hear their whole normal conversation and the lady clearing her throat for hours on end. I just had to door dash ear plugs just to try and get some sleep. I stood at the desk for a good 5 minutes with no one to a swer the desk. The lady was on the phone.

The entire property is beautiful. The entire staff is amazing!

Check in was slow , stayed two nights and did not receive new towels, which apparently is the hotel’s normal operating procedure however we were never told of this policy and after being out all day and needed to shower we had no towels. If it had been communicated we could have been more careful with our towel usage. Bottom line overpriced hotel for what we thought we were getting.

I’ve stayed here a number of times over the last 10 years as it is near family. I gave it a poor review last year as the hotel was in much need of upgrade (hot tub and air conditioning broken and dirty smelly carpets). The other hotel nearby where I have been staying was booked this time so I decided to give the Fairfield one more shot. I’m happy to say everything is fixed and clean and the place and staff were great. I’ll definitely start coming back,

Bathroom way too small!

They were not able to tell me in advance whether I would be able to get an early check-in. However, on the day of my arrival, the very friendly desk clerk was able to get us in a a couple of hours early, since we had a wedding at the normal check in time and we wanted to be able to change clothes before leaving for the wedding. I did not get a chance to try out the pool or the workout room. However, since we have family in the area, we will certainly return to that The Fairfield Inn in the future. One last note: Hot coffee at 9pm is an unusual but welcome feature!

A little upset that the hot tub was down. We picked the location for hot tub and pool. It should be on their website so we have the option to find a different hotel..

This hotel was absolutely perfect. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the pool and hot tub were nice, there’s a Dairy Queen and Taco Bell literally right next door and other stores like dollar tree near by. They had fresh iced lemon water, coffee, hot water all by the front door when you come in and they kept it stocked. The breakfast was good and the dining area was really cute and comfortable. Overall this hotel was very simple and perfect.

Really confused on why two televisions are in our room!! Truly was rather confusing as the kids thought they could watch something on one tv and something different on the other.

We love the centralized location and easy access to the highway. Only thing we did not like was that although it was snowing, the entrance was not cleared off of snow, making it unsafe to walk in and out.

The Bed and room were both very comfortable. We were gone to a funeral for most of Friday but our room was not serviced therefore we had only one clean small towel for Saturday morning.

Excellent place to stay with family. We encountered a whole new experience at Fairfield.

For the most part the facility was OK. A lack of focus on attention to detail was apparent from the entry doors to the room.

The condition of the room was very dated. Employees very nice.

Not a good stay, if you’re looking for something better please go to holiday inn down the street, I’ve stayed there before and it’s night and day difference. Besides it being outdated and muggy, the gym being the size of a closet; the AC was broken and my room did not go below 74 degrees in the summer. All night they keep sign lights pointed at the windows and they don’t have dark blinds!!! Meaning 1. We did not have any privacy 2. Our room was bright 24/7 from the outside lights or the sun, leading to very poor sleep. Also, maintenance woke us up, when I opened the door, the young man was frazzled and could not tell me why he knocked, just froze, which was pretty suspicious. The cleaning lady knocked on our door on two occasions at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m for which we reminded her our check out was at Noon, then she proceeded to enter our room at 11:15, then acted surprised when we told her check out was at 12 yet again!! I get she was rushing, but we expect privacy until our check out time especially if we have already reminded you. Lastly, cleaning staff was yelling on the phone, leaving their conversation out in open for everyone to hear, showed huge lack of professionalism. I suggest the staff needs a weekend at this hotel to realize how awful it is and how much work the higher ups and management need to do. If you’re looking for a peaceful weekend please please look elsewhere, one should not stay here, pay the extra $100 and find higher rated hotels. Don’t make my mistake.

Scrambled eggs had too much liquid in them and the pork sausages were barely cooked.

Not really convenient. Elevator was not operating the whole weekend. We were on 3rd floor. Room not ready at 3 as stated. Breakfast was satisfactory. No lounge of any kind. Staff polite & helpful. Nice surroundings.

my stay was perfect, worth every penny, and they will definitely see me again. Everyone was so friendly, a smile on every face; and the breakfast in the morning was great. I was so impressed with how clean everything was, the hotel looked brand new... I walked into my room and the TV was on, and on the screen it said: Good Afternoon James... It made me chuckle a bit. But, the one thing that stands out the most, was the lovely lady behind the front desk, Miss Margaret, (and please forgive me if I have the name wrong) she was there when I checked in and when I checked out. And I still can't say enough about the Fairfield, even though I have said enough... And thank you, you will see again.

Great hot tub. Main issue was that their pullout sofa beds are very bad. You can laterally feel the springs when you lie on it. Did not have a restful sleep and had aching backs the next morning. Hotel was not able to assist in any way that was helpful.

We just needed to get out of the house with a couple of pre-teen boys. They enjoyed the indoor pool and being able to play video games in the room after shopping and dinner locally.

Great location. Excellent front desk staff (Juliette) was super helpful and professional and friendly. Very clean room. The negatives were the bathroom is quite small, shower door didnt close fully so water would leak onto floor, breakfast area was small, and the parking lot and access road was not well plowed/shoveled since it snowed all 3 days we stayed. But with the friendly staff and great location we will likely stay here again.

The pool area must have been having a kid bday party. The guest were loud and rude with music playing loud. The kids were running and jumping in the pool with water, guns and beach balls, and Floaties. The guest also had alcohol in the pool area. I arrived for check-in and seen the party in the pool area went up to my room, waited some time to allow the pool area to clear and two hours later the party was still going in which I tried to get in the pool and had to call front desk Due to inconvenience

Kids in pool unsupervised the oldest kid was about 10 years old and youngest was about 2. Running and jumping it was horrible never again.

Generally good. Noises from the next door made me feel that noisy control is not good. No problem from outside noise.

Clean comfortable hotel. A few minor issues which the staff addressed as soon as I alerted them. The sound definitely carries between rooms with doors that connect them.

They need to change the filters in the room we coughed all night the vents are filthy the beds are uncomfortable the door wouldn't shut all the way going into the room just not a good rating for you people and also the breakfast ends too early not everybody gets up for a 9:00 breakfast

Pretty basic experience. The morning breakfast food was a bit disappointing. One day there was no orange juice.
