It was fine for one night. The room was clean, and breakfast was good, but the pool is tiny and very dirty. We didn’t get in. There were also faint marijuana smells throughout the property.

The stay was terrible, it was a one night for the most absurd price I’ve ever paid for a hotel night. The elevator did not work at all so we had to go up the stairs, the pool was green and disgusting and for breakfast, people from outside would come in the hotel to eat. The worst experience ever! Never again.

Clean property, stayed one night on our way through to the beach, kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was just ok, nothing too spectacular.

The breakfast was good and the room was ok. However, you need to ask to get your room cleaned. This was not noted at check-in. When the room was cleaned, they did a great job. Our AC was broken for the duration of the trip. They provided us with fans, but they do not have maintenance Friday-Sunday. The windows don't open, so it was very uncomfortable. We were not offered to move to another room.

Location. The front desk staff seemed annoyed to check me in. The pool was cloudy. There were bugs on the front desk. The power went out the next morning and there was no one at the front desk to answer any questions, I had to ask the cleaning staff.

Quick 1 night stay. It was a bit noisy bc of the set up of the hotel…but it was very clean. Breakfast on weekends doesn’t start till like 8 so we missed it! But coffee was always available

This was my second stay at this Comfort Inn. The place looked better than the 1st time. I was informed the have done renovations since my last stay. The staff was very friendly, especially the Manger, Robert. The breakfasts were good. I really appreciated the clean suits and every one I saw had a living room. I would recommend this Comfort Inn to everyone. When I come back to the Potomac/Woodbridge area, I will stay there again.

Pleasant

Nothing I could not stay at the hotel due to intense fumes and smells. The first room 309 that was assigned smelled like a nail salon that triggered a lung flare up and chest pains, so they changed me to room 317 which was worse, it smelled like strong paint thinner and primer. I ended up sleeping in my car and tried to cancel the remaining nights booked. I’m still waiting on my refund.

The staff were helpful and kind. When we arrived earlier than the checking in time, they help us to get the room ready so we can unpack everything. We visited the city for an Ice Skating Competition this weekend!

Clean and newly renovated!!! First of all, I sent an email to the hotel after our and no one has responded. This is the email that was sent. Can you help me? It was a very warm day, and when we checked into our room, the thermostat was set very high. We turned it down to 68 degrees and waited for the room to cool, but it never did. My husband went to the front desk to inquire, and he was informed that it was a corporate decision not to turn on the air conditioning yet. As a result, we stayed in a room that was 82 degrees all night long. While the front desk staff was very kind and provided us with a fan, it unfortunately only circulated the hot air. I am very upset about this experience. I would have reached out sooner, but I have been in the hospital. We paid $116.97 for this stay, and given the uncomfortable conditions, I am requesting a reasonable partial refund. A prompt response is appreciated. Very friendly staff, loved he layout of a seperated bedroom from the living room, and great free breakfast options. Was turned off when we found a large bug in the room, but staff was very quick and efficient in getting it handled immediately. The front door deadbolt didn't lock other than the clip lock. Pool was foggy, which scared us from usong it. The TVs wouldn't turn on or off easily and the phone didn't work. Otherwise it was a great stay.

Two of the families who were staying with us had to move rooms multiple because of locks being broken, mattresses dirty/stained (almost looked like it was in a flood) yellow stain on the bottom of the mattress that extended upward. When the one family asked to move because there was no lock on the door. The front desk said "maintenance will fix it tomorrow". Mind you when we first got there, the police just raided a room. There is no reason a mother and daughter should be expected to stay in a room with no lock. There were multiple hairs in the scrambled eggs. In the only working elevator there was some wet yellow sticky substance on the ground. They placed a wet floor sign proped against the wall but the whole weekend it was just there and no one cleaned it up. Overall I cant say much about staff, no one really ask if we needed help or even acknowledge us while there other then check in. Will not be staying here again!!

I’ve stayed at this hotel a couple times never had an issue but the last time I stayed there I had to change my room three times due to two of the rooms. The bolt lock did not work on them so I wasn’t able to lock the doors from the inside, other than having the normal card lock, but for safety reasons, I would prefer to have the bolt lock. As being a solo female traveler, I prefer to have a room to add the bolt lock workin. The other issue I had was the third room I received the AC did not work and the temperature never reached below 80° in the room. It was extremely uncomfortable. I did let management know and they told me to email them and file a claim. The staff is extremely friendly. The hotel is very clean, but unfortunately, I ran into some incidents that weren’t satisfactory on this trip.

The hotel has a pool that is open here around from 9 AM to 9 PM. The rooms were clean and had separate sections for the living and the sleeping, which is nice if you have children so not everyone is being affected if you want to stay later.

Negatives: Supposed to be 100% smoke free hotel. Room smelled like smoke especially bathroom. Asked for Lysol or some kind of air freshener and was told nothing available. Took blanket off bed and an empty travel size bottle of fireball fell out of it. Was told room would be cleaned again next day. Still stunk. Let my infant son crawl on the floor. His knees and toes were stained black. Lobby too cold for people exiting pool. Positives; easy check in. Good layout. Convenient to highway. Ok breakfast. Food attendant was very nice.

The room was 83 degrees at time of check in, couldn't get the a/c to turn on. When we asked the front desk how to turn the a/c on in the room we were told "the air is not turned on"

The hotel was clean, but the air conditioning didn’t work and our room was 76 degrees all night. It made for rough sleep, as the windows didn’t open, either. When we called the front desk about it, they said they knew the A/C didn’t work and there was no way to fix it.

We won't be staying here again. We had to switch rooms twice. The first time the room smelled strongly of smoke. The person at the front desk asked if we thought he could sell the first room to someone else. The second time the room was 81 degrees and there was no way to make the room cooler. The third room temp started out ok but it went up to 77 degrees and there was no way to lower it. At this point we were tired so we ended up staying in that room but it was really hot. There was another family that we heard that wanted to switch rooms because of a leak in their room. There were large numbers of teens or people in their early twenties being really loud until at least 9:30pm and a fight almost broke out between two of those groups outside. The internet was also not working for a good portion of the time we were there.

Parking was a mess due to the snow/ice. Room was excellent. The hotel was being renovated so furniture was everywhere. Elevator on entry was not working.

Checked in on 1/31-2/1 with a third party booking. Desk associate seemed upset about it and became rude. Unaware of name because she was out of uniform, no name tag and improper footwear. I was charged $100 for incidentals, in two transactions. I extended my stay for an additional night, 2/1-2/2. I went out for breakfast with my son and while out the next agent called me several times to chastise me that I didn’t do this and I should have done that. I was not aware and did what I was instructed by the other rep. I was to bring my physical card in, which they did have on file from incidental and earlier. She ran card multiple times, for a higher rate than I was quoted, no names provided again. I stopped at the desk and son went to the room. Key was deactivated and when he asked HSK if he could get in, he was rudely told NO, lady at desk said you no pay! He said I was at the desk taking care of it, again he was told NO. Front desk was telling me that my card declined with no regard to the guest behind me. Embarrassing!! She stated there was no incidental hold, so I was charged an additional $25. She told me that she had checked me out properly, unlike the young girls that worked there, and money would be released within 3 days. Room had been entered while we were out, things were touched and moved around…. UNACCEPTABLE!! I checked out 2/2. $25 was released 2/3, where is my $100? Property and customer service said 3-5 days. Day 5 money still hasn’t released!

The girl at the desk was wearing a winter hat and street clothes and didn't say any more than she had to. The room was nicely updated and mostly clean. Thermostat is basically useless and the heat/air was ridiculously loud as was the freeway right outside our room. Pool was chilly in keeping with the rest of the place. Breakfast was typical Continental breakfast that seemed to be thrown out in a rush. Like I said, good enough but nothing at all special about anything.

Our house flooded again so we used the second time since September. Even though they’re going through construction so comfortable, the staff is amazing and friendly, and the breakfast is 5 stars(they had biscuits and country gravy this morning). Thank you staff so much. We are still getting the flood damage fixed but had to go home to monitor, but we wished we could’ve stayed another 2 days.

The first room had a awful smell so we had to change rooms. There were mattress, and things everything in the hallways. The carpet was dirty.

The front desk staff was nice but unfortunately it was not clean. The toilet paper couldn’t be worst quality. Towels were super hard to touch. Breakfast pancake dispenser was broken. Carpet in the room was humid to bare foot touch. Just felt very uncomfortable and dirty. It feels like a the hotel needs maintenance and a bit remodeling.

The old black lady with the big ugly glasses is very rude. The female who was training the new person when I checked in on 11/16 needs customer service training. The property is under construction and shouldn’t have guests. At minutes after 8am for the three days I was there there was construction noise. If I was told that at check in I would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. The carpet is dirty and roaches are in the room. The deadbolt in my room didn’t work it didn’t align with the door. I took photos and video. A guest was cursing and carrying on for a long time disturbing me. I would never go back or recommend this hotel. I am still waiting for the $100 hold they took from my card to fall off. The staff and roaches were the worst things here.

We only stayed for few hours just to rest. The place is so disgusting. Room smell was awful and bed bugs were all around the room. They have not smoking policy but there was people smoking around. The lady at the front desk didn’t even care.

The location was great, but I was very disappointed with the cleanliness and service. I checked into my room late at night and noticed it was not properly cleaned, especially the bathroom. Since I had two separate bookings, I checked out and back into the same room the next day, and I asked for it to be cleaned while I was out, but the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. This really impacted my stay

I like the nice, quiet atmosphere. This was my second stay. I plan to return in the future. The only thing that was not so pleasant was the coffee. The coffee in the lobby wasn't to my taste. But that did not convince me not to return. I just bought coffee elsewhere and enjoyed it in my room.

Mean staff especially housekeeper female with ponytail...old...BIG FAT ROACH IN KITCHEN....Group from area roams the property really scary...my stay was 5 days of missery....other customers allowed to walk into me (i ha e video) in the kitchen at breakfast literally...they wanted to pay but made me to feel very unwanted and incomfortable incl money....i was forced to pay for garbage treatment cause i have business to handle then i was followed and jugged thru the. COmmu ity esp at nearby mall...it was horendous dangerous and rodiculous id go elsewhere

You get what you pay for!!!! This is an older building... carpets are worn out and not the cleanest. The breakfast is good and the beds were semi comfortable... not bad butttt the NOT the best. If you are not picky and need to stay over night ... this is a good place. customer service and breakfast attendants were great.. aswell

When we checked in we were given a room that had not been cleaned. Once given a new room, it was better, but the air system was not changeable, and the phone did not work. Breakfast was so-so.

When we opened the sofa bed there were filthy sheets on it and the bottom of the mattress was all mildew. Had some air cleaning machine constantly running and was extremely loud. Had to move it around to use the bathroom. Has some uv light that I found out in the process that is hazardous to look at.

The cleaning staff in the morning knocked on our door 4 times starting at 8:15am. It was very annoying! We didn’t get to the hotel until midnight and we were trying to sleep! We have until 11:00am to check out! Please respect that! The front desk should know if we checked out or not.

It’s 10 o’clock at night. What else am I supposed to do. I needed a king bed because my partner just had surgery and needed the space. Very upset and no manager on duty during the evening at check-in or in the morning at checkout. Lazy management.

Upon my arrival with my family the tv was not in working condition. We asked someone from the front desk to come and fix it and they were unable to do so. I have also noticed a stain on the sheets along with a candy wrapper on the floor that was not mine. I also came across the bathroom and noticed the toilet is rusted and not in good condition. And also the AC was not working at all overnight. One room was cooler and the other wasn’t. Due to the inconvenience of this evening I’d really appreciate a refund as I traveled here with my family looking for somewhere comfortable and clean to stay over night.

Easy to get to. Right near I95. Next to multiple shopping areas and places to eat. Breakfast was good. Hot foods and cold. 24 hour coffee and tea.

One thing i can say about the AC was really loud that woke our kids up many times.

I have come to expect mediocre accommodations with Choice Hotels. They are affordable and suitable for overnight stay.

DISGUSTING AND UNETHICAL! Upon arrival, the outside of the facilities were badly lit, hardly any light. People loitering around the entrance/outside of the hotel being loud and smoking. Check in was smooth but when we entered our room and checked the beds, we immediately found bed bug carcasses and leftover food/trash stuffed behind the mattress against the headboard. It was obvious that whoever cleaned our room did not change the sheets properly because of what was left behind from the previous patrons. Who knows how long that food has been stuck there and how many bedbugs are crawling throughout the entire hotel. We were in the room for less than 10 minutes and immediately took our stuff back down to the front desk to complain and ask for a refund. Was told that they could cancel our reservation and that we would need to contact Expedia to start the refund process. Front desk lady assured me that they will communicate with Expedia for my refund. I did exactly what they told me to and contacted Expedia. After 4 days of Expedia trying to reach out to this hotel to speak with the Manager (Robert Fereno) to approve the refund, they were not able to reach him. Expedia then sent me an email saying I would get no refund and only $25 in One Key Cash. I called the hotel to inquire why no refund, got put on hold for 2 hours, still not able to reach manager. It’s obvious they are being avoidant. I now have a case with Choice Hotels Corporate. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS

I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the hotel and our room. Everything was clean and fairly upgraded (or appeared to be). My check-in was smooth. The room was extremely spacious. The value for the room was spot on in my opinion. It is conveniently located close to several restaurants and Potomac Mills mall.

The front desk ladies were very nice. Our room had 2 cockroaches that we killed and it looked very dirty. Everything was old and grimey. We took the kids to the pool and it was pretty gross and nasty in there too. The AC in the rooms was probably the only good thing. Worked great. The pillows were tiny and uncomfortable never seen such small pillows. Our fridge in our room stopped working suddenly which was very unfortunate because we had milk in there for the kids. Our room smelled like cigarettes too. If you’re just looking for something quick and cheap to just sleep in then it’s fine but if you have kids I would pass up on it.

The front desk was rude and mean. My room bathroom was dirty like no one clean it. The Elevators weren’t working and I was on the 4th floor with luggage

I have stayed at this location on many occasions for work, this time it didnt seem like maintenance has been lacking. One elevator was out of order.My room had a smell of mold and there was a soft spot in carpet flooring near bedroom window.

Grounds are not kept up. Inside the air conditioner needs service and the unit make terrible noise when trying to sleep

Very large rooms, nothing to brag about nor anything to complain about.
