Nice hotel, clean room, loved breakfast and omlet

Breakfast and coffee were awesome. Many items are cooked by staff and there is even an omlet chef.

Great staff! A favorite place to stay in the area.

We arrived on a very late flight and didn’t want to wake our host family at that early morning arrival so we stayed at this hotel. Comfortable bed, which we needed, good pillows. We were so tired that this was a welcome sight. The next morning we had a marvelous breakfast. Not the usual breakfast which they provided but made to order omelets. Delicious!, Yum yum! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

"Meh" is the best way I can describe my stay here. I was placed along the outside north face of the building. I later learned that's where all of the smokers and people with dogs stay. While convenient because can park your car directly right in front of the room it is the noisiest area possible.

The breakfast was great, made to order omelet or other type of eggs, nicely done! We were charged $40 to keep our dog with us. We'd been on the road a week and paid in other places but never that much. It was a surprise. I wish Booking would show that in the online info. Also, the dog area was undefined, we used the grassy lawn out our room and picked up our dog's waste but I wasn't sure it was a designated dog area.

The ac doesn't change direction tho so the person who sleeps closest to it gets it blasted in their face, so I slept further away which was nice

You can hear everything! I've now stayed in a couple rooms. The beds are not very comfortable. I hate that the bathroom room opens into the toilet. It's a tight fit.

The best staff, the best rooms, and the best breakfast with a cook ready to whip eggs the way you want are just a few of the reasons we stop!! The ambiance this hotel gives off is a harken back to when hotel owners and staff truly cared for their guests!

The stay was great, the location was amazing, you have everything within a walking distance , they offer freshly made omelets. All the staff I encountered were kind and helpful , made me feel very welcomed.

Pretty good for the price, would stay again, sucks the pool isn’t open year round. Rate for a “poolside” room definitely isn’t worth it when the pool is covered in a tarp. Breakfast was really good. Room was clean.

There were some Stan’s on the bed sheets, dried on stuff in the dishwasher, they did something to the sliding door to where I could not step out side, the layout of the room I did not like I had to walk through the kitchen the bedroom and back through to my bed

Mostly was good experience, nice hot breakfast. Room is relatively small comparing with other BW I stayed in. Bathroom is really tight, not much space to move around. Breakfast is supposed to be until 9 am, oatmeal was not refilled at 8:40, and staff starts to take items away at 8:50.

Great breakfast & clean

The breakfast was very limited and very unhealthy - only carbs and processed foods. No protein. Not even fresh fruit or something like hard boiled eggs. The ice maker was broken and the office had limited hours to get a small bit of ice they offered from one bag of ice in their office freezer.

The wood carvings on the walls were beautiful and inspiring. The omelette made to order was very nice. When I decided to walk down the front stairs instead of wait for the elevator, the lady at the front desk came up and helped me with my bag.

Very modern upgraded renovations so comfortable and clean. Bathroom is small and I would have chosen a sliding door for that as well as for the closet. All amenities were in perfect working order i.e. TV, coffee maker, fridge.

We were very impressed on how well kept this hotel was and we really liked the historic photos they had everywhere. Plus their breakfast was delicious.

Clean room. Unsure if tub was cleaned. The non slip mat was already in tub but rest of the room was clean. The breakfast was awesome.

Breakfast is amazing: fresh omelets made to order, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, bagels, coffee, tea, and fresh juices. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel like family. What makes this place so unique are the Bible verses throughout the hotel, which give such a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere. We loved it the first time and loved it again—highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing! The hotel is very clean, with modern TVs, a nice pool, and a gym that’s great for the whole family. Free parking is a big plus, and everything you need is right nearby—restaurants, gas stations, and even a mall within walking distance if you don’t have a car. We also enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from here. The breakfast was one of the best parts! You can order a fresh omelet from the chef, plus they have waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, bagels, coffee, tea, and delicious juices. It really feels like a special continental breakfast. What makes this hotel unique are the Bible verses throughout the property, including some in Hebrew. It’s such a thoughtful reminder that God is in control, and it gave the place a warm, family-like atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and welcoming—it felt like home. We truly loved our stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. 🌟

Fridge did not keep food cool so food spoiled. I had put a water bottle in freezer section and it was barely cold. There were pieces of tape hanging from ceiling and in corner. Drapes did not close shade kept out most light but drapes closing would have helped with noise as well. Windows too thin could hear people talking as they walked by outside. POOR SECURITY every time I went out the back door to parking lot I would find the back entrance door being kept open by a rock being placed in the track. I removed the rock each time but one would be there the next time it looked like there is a security monitor on the door so either it is not working or no one is monitoring it. I felt like I was sleeping in an old fashion hide a bed there was an uncomfortable bar i kept rolling onto. No soap in bathroom for washing hands. Good selection of breakfast items would have been nice if it was available until 1030 for us late risers. Nice soap in shower, Plenty of towels. Toilet is way too low. My sisters could not even get up with out help. Housekeeping staff very nice and friendly the room was clean It would have been nice t have a lobby sitting area where we could relax

Maybe the best room i have booked on Expedia. We got a poolside suite for a ridiculisly low price. Full kitchen, 3 queen beds, courtyard and outdoor pool right out the sliding door. Eqsy check in, located by everything...amazing stay. Will be back

This hotel reminded me of a run down Motel 8 or a motel 6. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. The room needs to be updated - I've stayed in several Motel 8's that were in bunch better shape. Also the toilet was not clean.

There was a fenced area with a firepit, wood, bbq and table that was free to use on the property. They also had bikes for adults to borrow.

I booked here for work purposes and immediately felt like my husband and I were under surveillance (except for the host at front desk who was super charming) the staff entered our room even though privacy sign was on the door. We constantly noted staff around our room (we weren’t even there 1/2 the time and would come back from errands and see them walking away from the area of our room, or hovering around in the hallway when there was no need and constant staring) great room & we we’re conveniently located near an exit door on the side/back of hotel. when loading and unloading our car we put a rock in the door so we didn’t have to fumble with the key when our hands were full…both times this tall slinder guy came from no where and kicked the rock out locking us out of the hotel…this I found rude he could have asked us what we were doing clearly he was watching us from some camera because he went straight to the door and kicked the rock out. This made us have to walk all the way around the hotel in 100 degree weather instead of just being able to use the side door.I found this rude. This employee constantly walked around where we were and our room. He made us uncomfortable as if we were under surveillance. I paid a lot of money for a weeks stay and felt as if being watched. We heard moving around above us when in the room and realized the hotel is only two floors. There shouldnt have been noise above us. We look young but are grown and responsible will not stay again sadly

The location was great- close to the highway and good parking. The building is older but the rooms are updated and very clean. The best part was the breakfast- made to order omelets and eggs! Being greeted as you walked into the breakfast room! Good stay for a good price.

I have stayed at this hotel nearly 100 nights in the past 9 years. Its very clean, very comfortable, very friendly....every time. Pool and giant courtyard with charcoal grills are fantastic in the summer. Bring the frisbee!

We checked In Saturday night. There was a family reunion using the pool. The problem was no one cleaned the pool area for Sunday for the guests stating. No one chemically treated the pool. It was cloudy you could not see the bottom. There was spilt sodas, no towels, empty packaging. We drive here from Seattle every year to enjoy the sun and swim the pool. They had tons of staff cleaning all the rooms. The hotel rooms are very clean.

There was glass shattered in my room that wasn’t clean when we got there. I called the front desk and they offered to clean it up which was nice but we already did it. My son cut his foot on a piece of glass and I had babies crawling around my room and when I tried to speak to a manager they just kept passing it off and never got to talk to anyone ever about it. It’s very unacceptable. And when I called the front desk to ask to speak to the manager the girl goes “ I already offered to clean it up and I don’t know much more you want me to do “ in a rude tone. It was just the fact that I listed that I had kids in my room and there was broken glass it’s not okay. There was nothing to do to make it right.

Also Awesome Breakfast is served here too.

We didn’t use many of the amenities as we didn’t spend much time in room. Room was comfortable.

I am writing to provide feedback on my recent stay. I paid $185 CAD and found the hotel excellent. The room was large and very clean, and the staff were outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the morning breakfast and found the omelette chef to be very polite.

Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants

Stayed here because our daughters team was staying here. The price was high compared to other area hotels. The room itself was not great. It was dusty, the bathroom is tiny, the bed was not very comfortable, and the air conditioner sounds like a jet aircraft so Goodluck sleeping in the bed next to it. The only positive was the free breakfast.

The employees at the Union Gap one were very helpful and friendly. Our room was fantastic. Breakfast was awesome...so many things to choose from, including custom omelets and eggs! I opted for the egg scramble (eggs, potatoes, onions, and sausage) with country gravy over the top. This location doesn't have a restaurant like some, but across the parking lot is an Outback Steakhouse and your hotel stay gets you a 10% discount. If you don't want to go back out, you can call them and have it delivered to your room (still getting the discount). I usually don't need to do laundry when I travel, but after a week, I needed some clean clothes. A load of laundry cost $1.50 to wash and $1 to dry (coin only, but front desk will exchange bills for coins). You can buy Tide soap powder at the front dest.

Anyway, I need 2 rooms and I book them separately because I only need one to have a kitchen. It was my first time in Yakima so I wasn’t aware that there were two Best Western and they are owned by different companies. I accidentally booked 1 room here and 1 room at the other. I called and explained the situation. So, of course they felt that what was fair would be to charge me anyway. But, I’m not a total Karen. So, on my 2nd stay in Yakima, I booked at their hotel because the other one wasn’t available. I submitted an honest review for that stay separately. I would just like to point out that not every customer is like me and willing to give places a second chance. I know that times are tough, but charging for an honest mistake was not the best face to put forward. I didn’t cancel out of the blue for no reason. A little good will goes a long way.

THE GOOD: The suites come with a full kitchen and it is NICE. The European bed came in extremely handy as each of my kids were able to have their own bed and the teen got some PRIVACY. Even when having to convey a complaint to me, the staff was kind (y’all, I look like a Karen and I’m on the taller side—I cut an intimidating figure). We slept comfortably and my kids couldn’t get enough of the balcony. They loved that we had home cooked food. The omelette station was also a really nice surprise. We have to come to Yakima often and have already booked our February stay there.

Very old hotel, stairway leading to the second floor in the lobby, very small bathroom. Great variety for breakfast my favorite part and the part that will keep me going back again and again is the coffee machine in the lobby it grinds the beans and you can choose between cappuccino latte, etc., etc. if you’re a coffee person, this makes it worth it! Felt like a really safe neighborhood. There was an outback steakhouse in the parking lot.

This hotel is very clean, the lobby is really open and nice. Rooms are spacious, clean and even have a fridge, microwave, and Keurig machine. Very impressed for the price!

The Best Western Ahtanum is a very well-maintained property. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the breakfast features biscuits and gravy, at least four hot offerings and made-to-order omelets. It is close to a good mall and a short drive to the iconic Minor's Drive-in.

Fantastic stay! We had the King poolside suite and I can’t recommend it more! Comfortable, enough space to not have hotel claustrophobia and very clean. The roll in shower and rainfall shower head are definitely a nice touch but the shower head is too small for rainfall (replace that with a 12x12 and add a switch so the side head and rainfall work at the same time, shower is too big to have one or the other, you feel cold while taking a warm shower). Breakfast was awesome, walked over to Texas Roadhouse for dinner one night, plenty of DoorDash options the other night. Overall awesome stay, will definitely be there again.

Room was dirty there was sausages on floor from last guest. Toilet doesn’t flush properly either. The break fast was probably the worst ive had at a hotel. Sausages were super greasy!

Our ropm had a toilet that ran alot, flushing was an issue as well. The heating/cooling system did not work great. Tried to use control on wall since you took the knobs off system and it didnt work properly. Hotel had a bad order to it as well...

Bad customer service

Front staff was very welcoming. When we arrived at our room, the heat was on and the room was 85 degrees. Took all night to cool the room down. The bed was really hard, and pillows were cheap. Pool was nice and clean.

The kids had fun swinging and left with a full belly! The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the smell of the room. It smelled like cigarettes! The staff were very friendly and helpful! We will for stay again the next time we are in town.

We chose parking access to room. Very convenient for someone with difficulty walking. Have choice of pool access or balcony also. Clean, comfortable room, friends staff, great breakfast. Will even make you an omelet. Book for 2 nights then boiked again for our return.
