Many guests expressed dissatisfaction with the hotel's pool being closed for maintenance without prior notice, and some found the customer service to be lacking. On the other hand, the hotel's location and cleanliness were frequently praised.

This is my second review. I was there with my family and the staff there helped us quite a bit. We had to change rooms and that was fine. She brought us up a key and was very helpful. I also have to say I like the breakfast. Waffles were great. Scrambled eggs were great sausage great. Orange juice was a little bit watery but no big deal. Overall good. Our only issue really was the water pressure at the sink. That was difficult. I think there was a light going out in the bathroom too. You had to leave it on and then it would come full bright. Very good selection of items for breakfast. Parking was safe and affordable. Staff were wonderful and very helpful.

I don’t really like to complain unless things are really bad, but the internet was not good at all. Maybe should look into a better carrier. Other than that the accommodations were nice.

The room was clean and the staff was nice from checking in to checking out. The location is prefect to getting back on the highway.

The room was clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Only thing that really bugged us was that we booked this hotel specifically for the pool. The entire time we were staying there the pool was closed for being “under maintenance”. The front desk made it sound like a kid pooped in the pool or something but that doesn’t take days to take care of. I have a feeling they keep that sign up on a regular basis because other people have complained on the same thing recently there. Maybe they don’t want to deal with taking care of it. It was a letdown because the kids were looking forward to it. They didn’t seem eager to fix the issue or compensate us until we asked on our last day, which they gave us free parking. When we looked at the pool it looked perfectly fine. Just bad luck I guess.

Breakfast was not bad y'all need to start doing gravy and biscuits and the sausage and bacon was really grease. And for the price of the room I expected breakfast would been better than what I had I didn't like to having to pay a 20.00 deposit for a room that I've already had reserved and it didn't say anything about a 20.00 deposit while making my reservations. And then you get there and then you're hit with a 10.00 parking fee. Maybe y'all need to explain this to customers before they book a room.

Cons: Pool water was cloudy, I could not see my feet. Continental breakfast was somewhat average, typically the pancake/waffle machines are out everyday..not here. The hotel was noisy from guests inside and out. There was a flashing light above the bed every 10 seconds, the elevator mechanical room started making a whirring sound every 2 seconds in the middle of the night. Someone smoking marijuana outside my window made my entire room smell (I contacted the front desk about this). Previous people left food in the fridge that was not throw away by cleaning employees. All in all it was ok, though I would not stay here again.

Hotel is a good location, nice facilities and breakfast. They will overcharge you for parking. Parking is $10 but they will charge you $20. I raised it twice with the front desk for two separate stays and was assured they would refund the excess charges. This has not occurred yet.

Perfect! Clean, good breakfast, close to everything, great customer service
- 2/5
I like the hotel it was very clean and the breakfast was great ! However I was unaware you have to pay to park and also at the time of our stay the pool was closed. Very disappointing at time of booking I wasn’t informed.
- 3/5
Pool and jacuzzi don’t work. Under construction. Nobody mentioned it at Expedia when o booked this hotel. Kids were very disappointed;(
- 3/5
No notice on pool closer and that is reason hotel was chosen. Elevator is scary and shakes and vibrates with only one car in service
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was always fully stocked.
- 4/5
The property was alright.
- 2/5
The room is outdated, lighting is horrible. When you turn the lights on it takes about a minute for the lights to come completely on. The website says parking is included but when you get there they charge you $10 a night, false advertisement! Although the manager went on the website and saw that parking was free he still charged me for parking and would not honor what was on the website. I tried to check out a day before and was told I could not check out early so I would still be charged.
- 1/5
The hot tub had been fully decommissioned, and the pool was unavailable for the majority of the stay after being told each day it would be repaired. Only 1 of the 2 elevators were operational, but the one sounded like it would breakdown at any moment. There was a lack of hot water in the sinks and one stayed stopped up. There were repeated late-night noise disturbances from a neighboring room that continued well past quiet hours upwards to 3am. These were reported to the front desk, but the issues was not resolved. Overall, very disappointed in the conditions on a Marriott hotel. The ratings obviously come from the partiers that trash the place.
- 5/5
Definitely want to come back here again.
- 3/5
Room was not clean, crust on the floor and couch- was nasty. Fire alarm went off and we got no explanation.
- 5/5
Everything was extremely amazing!!
- 4/5
The room was clean the staff were courteous and helpful when approached. The hot tub was broken and one elevator was out of order. The breakfast area was to small to accommodate the guests and the waffle machine broke in the middle of a breakfast rush.

We had a very restful stay at this hotel. The room was clean and tidy, and we had everything we needed to stay comfortable. The staff were warm, polite, and always prompt. Breakfast was consistently available until the last minute, which we appreciated. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay
- 3/5
My stay was ok. It was a bit noisy from above with random sounds however the room was clean and the staff was very courteous.
- 3/5
The room was great as usual. Weekend breakfast good. Monday's menu didn't include waffles compared to Sunday morning. I left a phone charger in the room. When I went back to get it, it was opened in. 😔
- 4/5
Clean enough. Very quiet. Helpful, attentive and friendly staff. The breakfast had a variety of options and is your typical buffet. The pool was working, but the spa was not. Not in the nicest area, but it felt safe. Good value for the $$$
- 1/5
no Wifi, they couldn’t fix the wifi for a complete week.
- 1/5
I was there for a staycation for my wife's birthday. While the staff was polite, it didn't really compensate for the lack of ammenties. The Wi-Fi and in-room cable was down for the duration of our 2 night stay. On the second day the hot tub and pool would be closed for the remainder of our stay. This really brought down the value of our stay, to virtually nill.
- 5/5

- 3/5
The breakfast was not good as it was shown in the description and the hot tub was out of service and the bathroom toilet water was not working properly
- 3/5

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and could accommodate our party of 5. I appreciated having breakfast included. Great value!

horrible stay very rude
- 5/5
It was a great place, the breakfast was very well attended
- 4/5
The pool was broke both days. Stayed there because of the pool.
- 2/5
We chose this hotel for the pool and hot.only to find out that both were broke and we were unable to use our whole stay. The room stunk and the conditioner bottle fell off the wall. Abd the toilet paper holder was loose. I stay it this hotel in other states. But this experience was not good.
- 3/5
My daughter and I went on a 6-hour roadtrip. The main reason we picked this hotel was because it had a pool and a hot tub. I suffer with chronic pain, so I figured the hot tub would be great after the long ride. Upon arriving at the hotel, we saw a sign that said the pool was closed for today, when in fact it was going to be closed indefinitely. The clerk apologized and told us he wouldn’t charge us for parking. The other issue we had was more than a few spiders in the room. I have a physical reaction from spider bites, so I was more than a little bit uncomfortable. Overall, the staff was awesome.
- 5/5
The staff was very polite and friendly. Room was clean no issues check in or out.
- 5/5
All good.
- 5/5
Convenient, quiet large rooms
- 2/5
room quality poor. no shampoo bottle in bathroom, toilet paper holder loose from wall and we ran out on a two day stay with four people in room 325. design of room poor with angular walls that made no design sense and had no effect on spaciousness. HAD TO PAY 10 DOLLARS PER NIGHT TO PARK MY CAR ON THE HOTEL LOT!!! NEVER HAD THIS CHARGE AT ANY OTHER HOTEL, EVER!!!! wall paper pealing off walls. very noisy AC. will never stay at another spring hill suites again.
- 4/5
Property was fine and staff support was adequate.
- 5/5
For family trip it is one of the great hotel ,large rooms and clean. Breakfast was good too. Strongly recommended for families
- 4/5
The front desk staff here were very nice, and helpful.
- 1/5
Ok
- 4/5
The overall experience was great but did just want to call out that we were on the fourth floor (top floor) and the AC did not cool the room as well as we would have liked. If you stay here and like it cold when you sleep, you may want a lower floor.
- 5/5
The room was nice and the property was in a great location close to restaurants and stores. The only thing I would recommend is the staff make sure to clean the pull out sofa bed better. We couldn't use the pull out sofa bed because it was dirty. This was disappointing because the rest of the room was clean .
- 5/5
Everything was great just sad that the hottub was out of service
- 4/5
Room was nice. Very disappointed the hot tub was out of commission. We chose this hotel because it had a hot tub, which I wanted because I just had knee surgery and it was closed.
- 1/5
The main reason I booked a stay there was for the Jacuzzi but it was very upsetting that it's wasn't working and neither was the TV in all of the rooms.
- 3/5
The rooms need lot of work. Low water pressure, no towels, room service was not available. Eddie
- 4/5
Breakfast crew was great, very accommodating and friendly
- 3/5
Breakfast then left again only to stop my family in another car for money.
- 5/5
The staff was great! Highly accomodating. Breakfast was excellent. Less than 10 minute drive to d.c. national mall.
- 5/5
Nice and clean, comfy beds. Room was large and spacious. Staff was nice. Definitely will return
- 5/5
The room was clean, spacious, and modern, with a comfortable bed and a separate seating area that made it feel more like a small apartment. The complimentary breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold items, and the staff kept the area tidy and well-stocked. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for local dining and attractions. The fitness center was small but functional, and the property felt safe and quiet. The only downside was that parking was a bit limited and could feel cramped, especially at night. Also, during peak times, the breakfast area got crowded. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Alexandria/D.C. area for business or leisure.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable with a very nice staff. Breakfast was also delicious. Thank you!!
- 5/5
Great place to stop for the night!
- 5/5
Nice over night stay
- 5/5
Thank you….
- 3/5
Bath towels were very small. Big towels not provided
- 4/5
The property is nice and the rooms are comfortable. We did have to ask to change rooms due to an unclean bathroom and a smell. The staff was understanding and immediately complied with my request. The new room was clean and comfortable. The property is older and could use a renovation, but it is decent and well kept.

This is a lovely hotel, breakfast was hot and enjoyable. Rooms were clean, the staff was verry friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The breakfast was really good and plenty items to choose from. I would recommend this hotel for travelers
- 3/5
Paid parking. Room cleaning every other day. Front desk not the friendliest
- 4/5
I liked this hotel! It was an overall great experience; the rooms were spacious and clean, and I felt safe in the area surrounding the hotel. My only complaints are the parking fee, pool, and cost of beverages. Typically I never pay for parking, but they had a $10 fee per day. I only stayed one night so it wasn’t pricey, but I feel like parking should be free. Second, this hotel advertises a pool and whirlpool, but the whirlpool was shut down; a little bit of a bummer for my family. The last thing is my husband bought a basic can of Dr. Pepper from the front desk, and it costed $8. Once again, not a huge deal, but I feel like it should be more reasonable. Otherwise, it was a great stay!
- 5/5
The front desk clerks were polite
- 3/5
We stayed on the first floor. They have a party hall and too loud from the event hosted on Saturday night
- 5/5
I liked the location of this hotel and I would stay here again

Maria and the breakfast crew was excellent. They kepth the tables clean and the food accessible.

Waited about 25 mins to be Checked in. Parking is not included with your stay. The room was definitely clean and comfortable for a family of 4.
- 3/5
I booked the hotel based on the hot tub. When we got there the hot tub was broke. We were very dissapointed.
- 4/5
Room was very clean and comfortable but could be updated especially carpet. Breakfast had multiple choices.
- 4/5
Reasonable place to be for a concert. The staff was great. Overall we were happy.
- 4/5
No bar or food except breakfast. Average gym
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
It was a great spot for a DC trip, close to Old Town Alexandria.
- 5/5
So close to grocery stores (walking distance), food options (fast food & dine in), coffee, shopping & the metro!
- 4/5
We liked the hotel, the only thing was the false fire alarm woke us up in the night 2 times.
- 5/5
Shower was broken; couldn't balance hot and cold water
- 5/5
We had a great experience at the hotel, but I would improve the breakfast. It has no options, only eggs and turkey sausage. Excellent service, and the room was very clean.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. I recommend it.
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous and polite. Room was clean and nice. Only complain we may have is that the air conditioner is loud making it diffucult to sleep.
- 3/5
All Springhouse Suites Hotels seem to be located close to interstates to be appealing to travelers, specifically those driving along the interstates. Yet, this hotel charges for parking! How dare you. I will never stay here again.

- 5/5
Good locations, friendly staff. Very nice rooms.
- 5/5
The room was huge! Only complaint was the squeaky office chair.
- 4/5
We have been staying at this property for years and enjoy staying at this property - we were disappointed that they’ve started charging for parking and pricing for snacks is a bit high. Staff is wonderful. Lobby area is great and good amount of seating. Rooms are showing a bit of wear and tear - they need some work.
- 5/5
Tim was so friendly and offered great service. The bed was super comfortable and clean.very convenient since its by the highway.
- 1/5
The room was ok. A bit worn, but clean enough. We specifically chose this hotel for the hot tub & pool. When we checked in, we were told the pool area would be open until 8 so we changed and headed down there only to find a note on the door that the pool was closed. Went to the front desk & the lady was snarky, again said the pool was open, but the hot tub was closed and said she would unlock the room for us since our key card wouldn’t open it. She said she wasn’t told about the pool when she saw the sign so she opened the door and told us to swim. It looked like the room was taped up and under construction. The pool filter wasn’t running and the water looked dirty with a film on top. The hot tub was completely taped off. We obviously didn’t chance going in! Breakfast was mid. The eggs were terrible, but they did have a waffle maker and pretty decent sausage links. We would have chosen a different hotel had we known the hot tub and pool were out and feel like that should have been disclosed with booking. Disappointed!
- 3/5
So check in day I called and the person on the phone was very rude to me but when dealing with my boyfriend was super nice. The rooms themselves were ok but the doors would get stuck on the carpet and the doors wouldn’t close properly all the time. We didnt have hot water for a bit but it came back eventually. I wish there was more food options for breakfast. Especially for vegetarians. I couldn’t eat a lot but it was still pretty good despite all that.
- 1/5
Our stay went fine, the beds were not too stiff, and the room was enough to accommodate three people. On the last day when we checked out, I had gotten a room damage fee charge on my credit card. When I called to ask why I was charged that fee, I was told that it was due to damages done to the mattress. I had explained that we never damaged anything to the mattress, and we didn't drop any food or drink on it. They of course, claimed that the mattress had been damaged due to the brown stain left from before, and claiming it was left damp. When I contested this, they forwarded me to their manager, whom never answered their phone. With all said and done, I issued a charge back to my card and got it removed. I usually have good experiences with Marriott. This one, however, was one of the worst. I can not recommend this Springhill Suite since they tried to scam me for damage I nor my friends had committed. Marriott is a good brand, but this hotel is run by folks who want to extort money out of you. Stay clear.
- 5/5
Easy to drive to and had lots of free parking. Shirley at the front counter was excellent. She worked with us on an early check in. The breakfast was excellent with lots of hot options. Would stay here again!

- 3/5
Sticky carpet in the room. Front desk staff was difficult to get attention of, very dismissive. First Springhill property I have stayed at that wasn’t willing to freeze my ice packs for travel day when my room didn’t have a freezer section in the mini fridge.
- 5/5
Very confortable family room. The pool is not much big, but was a nice experience. It has a hot water jaccuzi too. Simpathy of staff. Free parking.
- 5/5
Very comfortable. Nice size room. Great staff. Suggestion — need a hair dryer in the room.
- 4/5
It was an overnight stay
- 5/5
Good location
- 3/5
Room was set up weird, light switches that didn’t seem to go to anything, wall paper was peeling in the room and in the bathroom, phone didn’t work in room, pillows were flat and uncomfortable. There was a generator or some noise coming from outside our room, and a whistling noise from the bathroom.
- 5/5
NICE HOTEL. TOILETS NEED YTO BE UPDATED TO CHAIR LEVEL, TO HARD TO GET OFF IF YOUR A SENIOR. NOISE FROM FANS OR HEATER SYSTEM OUTSIDE WAS VERY LOUD, HARD TO SLEEP WITH THAT CONTINUOUS SOUND. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD, HOTEL PRICEY

Great and affordable place near DC. Kids loved the pool. Rooms were spacious and clean. Will come again next time visiting DC.

Everyone was so nice, and the room was so big for us,and the parking lot was empty,I would like to stay in that hotel again.
- 5/5
Check in was smooth and staff was really friendly
- 4/5
Housekeeping was BAD
- 5/5
Ver clean and nice
- 3/5
The front desk staff specifically the evening woman is very unpleasant and rude. When you call front desk she will pretend the call dropped and then say the phone in the room isn’t working properly but the moment you go to the front desk she tries to act like nothing happened. Shout out to the engineer that helped us with moving our room because the a/c stopped working and fixed the tv in our new room.
- 2/5
We planned to stay two nights and got there and the pool was shut down. So we asked the front desk was there another Marriott property we could go to but she couldn’t help or didn’t know how to help. She did refund the second night but we lost a morning of swimming for our son. The wallpaper was peeling in the sink area, one of the bed lights for reading was out. My back killed the next morning. Two thumbs down. Won’t be back to a Spring Hill Suites. Ironically I called Marriott directly to get switched and they tried to get me in at Fairfield inn down the street. But the employees put the guest service person on hold. I’m pretty sure this lady was working from home because I kept hearing her dog bark. After calling the Fairfield inn they couldn’t check me in early. We abandoned all Marriott options and stayed at a Hyatt Regency Inn and had the most lovely time. Great service.

Rooms are large and can easily fit families.
- 3/5
The through the window air conditioner was very noisy and kept us awake at night.
- 5/5
The staff it was very friendly, helpful. Very nice stay . It was a pleasure
- 3/5
The room was clean but dated. There was obvious water damage in the bathroom that bubbled up the wallpaper and some was peeling over the shower. I didnt take pictures of that. The cleaning staff were stationed just down from our room and there was a male that spoke very loudly and joked all the time starting about 7 AM. He never stopped. Also, the pool and jacuzzi were old and dirty. Didnt even want to get in. I have a pic of the black stuff that was at the bottom of the jacuzzi. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff were great. No complaints there.
- 5/5
The hotel location is safe, the breakfast good, the staff friendly, and the hotel quiet.
- 5/5
Stay was great. Clean environment, pleasant staff.

Nice place to stay. Has parking not far from Metro area. Safe quiet only thing about the place was my refrigerator didnt work, other than that would most definitely stay agian.
