Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta/Avalon Area

My family and I were in town for the Hawks game and stayed here based off of the great reviews. It did not disappoint, everything was true about the reviews. The hotel was very well maintained and clean, the pool was nice and clean also with no strong chlorine odor that you get at some hotels. We will definitely return! 10/10 in my book

It was close to our event. You have to pay $18.00 to park, which is very unusual in this part of Atlanta. Our room was not cleaned while we were out, and when we inquired about it, we were told it is policy that they only clean if you stay three nights.

Hotel was average. We requested a king size bed and were given a queen size, with no further explanation. With all the options around, it will be tough to go back there.

It was wonderful. It was a great family atmosphere, that provided wonderful dining options and live music. We had a blast.

Room was very clean and spacious, peaceful and great bed. Only negative was bar was rarely open. Service was prompt and speedy at reception.

The hotel is very convenient to the interstate as well as shops. Check in was easy and quick. The from the desk clerk was courteous and helpful and gave recommendations on local restaurants as well as what is offered at the hotel. Great stay!

Josh, at the front desk, was a blessing the entire trip! He made great recommendations for shopping and restaurants. He was working alone our first night and multi- tasked with ease!! I am grateful for his professionalism and care! This property is exceptionally clean and the lobby smells wonderful. The reservations indicated there would be sofa sleepers in each of the 3 rooms; there were none. Not sure what happened. Overall, I loved our stay here and will stay in the future.

We got a room with a loud air conditioning unit. Even when the unit was on standby, the unit was loud. The hotel decor was also basic.

Truly enjoyed my stay. There were very minor reasons for my review. (1) I did find bits of paper and candy wrap on the floor in the room upon arrival. (2) The restaurant/bar amenities never had a staff member designed to that area which did not help it look inviting. Hence, no one was there. It would seem the front desk associate was also running the food and bar. This was disappointing as we choose this place due to the those amenities however we just choose to walk to the Avalon across the street. Overall, if you are looking for a clean, quiet, and safe place to live near the Avalon area this hotel is a great option!

Paying for parking in this location is completely ridiculous! Why? Breakfast is a la cart and expensive.

the position is excellent very close to Avalon boulevard, the gym and pool is nice the room is very small, they didn't prepare the third bed for our son and we should make it by ourself everyday. they didn't clean regularly everyday, the breakfast is very expensive and the overall price is too expensive for what offered. we are disappointed compare to other Courtyard hotels we have been in past

It was great Josh the bartender was awesome! Short walk to the Avalon and the room had a great view and nice amenities.

Some bleach stains on the wallpaper in the bathroom, showing "age." A mysterious 6-inch brown streak on the bathroom ceiling (chocolate? something more sinister?) Too high up for housekeeping to easily get to, I suppose. A clothing price tag from Marshalls, snipped off an Xmas gift (it was three days ago) no doubt by the previous guest, under the ottoman. Sofa settee with obvious dirt & stains. Overall, a great place, but not the "9.2" claimed, more like a solid 7.5.

Beautiful city and beautiful property. Will definitely plan to stay again on another roadtrip down south

Everything in and around the hotel was amazing. The hotel was walking distance to the Avalon. Which was incredible. Unfortunately, my wife and I both had the worst sleep. No Matter how low I set the air conditioning it was still warm. The pillows were absolutely horrible. I’m willing to bet the pillows didn’t cost .50 cents a dozen. I’m not saying I won’t go back, but I’ll bring my own pillow.

I travel to the Alpharetta area a couple times a year for business and always stay here. It’s my favorite hotel in the area. Rooms are always very clean and it’s right next to a bunch of restaurants and things to do. Can’t miss by staying here !

Very happy with our stay, Hotel looked new, room and bathroom was very clean. Plenty of space in bedroom and bathroom. Even though our room was by elevator it was very quiet in the room. Front desk staff were friendly. Great location close to Avalon and downtown Alpharetta. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Nothing we had a great stay.

Comfortable and very clean in a convenient location for our visit to Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. Also convenient to good restaurants in Alpharetta.

This was the second time we had stayed here , nice clean hotel , really convenient to the concert venue we go too . I had reserved a king room and they had non available. A little disappointed but still a nice hotel. Will definitely be back .

We had such a nice stay. Everything was spotless. The room smelled nice and the staff was friendly.

Did not like paying for parking, especially when there is plenty of parking and there is no valet.

The room was big and clean. The bed and bedding were to my liking. Alpharetta is an excellent location with plenty of great restaurants. It’s also a good location to use as a hub to do sightseeing around GA. I would stay there again.

My state was great we had no issues. The staff was professional yet personable and very kind. They were knowledgeable about the area and we a pleasure to be around.

Convenient to Wills Park . Great check out time

Had to pay extra to park at the HOTEL. Where else is someone supposed to park? Bathroom was not cleaned. It wasn’t nasty, but did not have new products. The curtains would not close all the way.

Great place to stay if attending a concert at nearby amphitheater:

The check-in was wonderful, and the woman at the front desk was great. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the refrigerator was not cold. It was very hot out, so we wanted cold drinks when we got back to our room, but we couldn't have that since the refrigerator was not keeping anything cold. The thermostat was also not working properly so the room was either hot or freezing.

Traveled for work. Nice hotel, close to everything. Across the street from Avalon with a little bit of a walk. Staff super friendly, parking was reasonable, room clean, loved the shower, quiet at night. Would stay again.

Check in and out was easy with very friendly staff members! The hotel itself as well as my room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. I can’t rate the breakfast because the bed was so comfortable, I overslept lol. Looking forward to staying here again

Nice new hotel

The room was very nice . Modern and clean. The only thing is that do not offer a breakfast, just a pricy Starbucks .there is a whole food two blocks a way if you want that.

Great location The lobby drop off was not easy to pull up to because of the orientation of the building.

Don’t cleaner my room in the day we stay

Location No service in rooms, had to empty your own trash, Nothing offered. No coffee, water. You had to pay for everything.

Our stay was excellent. Staff were all warm and accommodating. Room was spacious and very clean. Shower was fantastic. We have stayed before while visiting family and will stay again!

No Complaints!!!!

Heated pool was nice, although I would have liked to have a hot tub. Breakfast was adequate. Hardly what I would prefer - eggs cooked to order, omelets, bacon, toast, etc. All we saw was juice, muffins, fruit, coffee, really just a continental breakfast. We only did it one morning - imagine my surprise when the hard-boiled eggs were spoiled! The attendant was apologetic and moved quickly to put out some fresh eggs, but it never should have happened, and definitely not what I would expect from a Marriott property.

Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta/Avalon Area was very warm and welcoming. Beautiful location. Easy parking. Very quiet. Full bar, Starbucks, convenience store. 20 minutes from Downtown Atlanta. I would definitely stay there again.

Cleanliness is VERY important to me and the room was exceptional and so was the hotel lobby, hallways and even outside before we entered. The beds were sooooo comfortable. When we needed anything and called down to front desk, it was delivered promptly. This is one of the best hotel experiences my family and I have had in a long time.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. Didn't have breakfast as there's no on-site restaurant per se. Would rate as "4 star" by adding a full continental breakfast!

Stay was great. One complaint was the bartender. She wasn’t the friendliest and my mom inquired about ordering a drink and she barely looked up from her phone and didn’t seem enthused to get up and make her something.

Can’t believe there was a 12.00 parking fee? A little bit ridiculous do not mind paying for valet but this was just to park in a open parking lot for the night.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It was my mom's 80th birthday and I wanted it to be special. I was leaving work and I didn’t have time to buy a birthday card, flowers, balloons, and a bottle of wine, so the manager went and purchased them for me. The staff arranged them beautifully in the room to surorise my mom. Mission Accomplished!

Nice hotel for business use

This property fit my needs perfectly. I was in town to see a concert at the Ameris Bank Amphitheater. It's close by and everything about my experience at the hotel went well. Uneventful. Good bar. Nice Starbucks coffee bar in the morning. Perfect.

The property was updated and clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating. We were able to walk to the Avalon for dining and shopping. Uber is always within 5-10 mins away when needed.

Excellent and relatively new location that rivals THE HOTEL at Avalon.

Only two gripes. We were not given top ups of coffee and milk in the room daily and had to ask for them at reception. The starbucks franchise in reception had very limited breakfast options, in particular no fruit offering.

Nice property but the hotel overbooked and I was unable to stay.

My family of 5 stayed at this hotel for one night as we were passing through the area. The staff were very kind and accommodating towards our needs (we were traveling with 3 young children). The hotel is in an excellent area. The hotel itself seemed in excellent condition. We had no complaints, but only a positive experience!

Everything thing was great, the only that didn't make it perfect was the AC unit was loud.

Great location across from Avalon shopping area. feel safe in this area. The hotel was clean, follow all covid protocol. Their mini store has all the food and drinks you need if you want to get a quick bite, microwave etc, all equipped ready to use. Starbucks coffee right at the bar. Highly recommend.

Loved the cleanliness of the hotel and the room. Our air conditioning unit would not turn on, and we were offered a new room, but we declined.

The front desk employee was very friendly upon check in. He even asked what the occasion for us staying the night was. As we left for the evening we were told to have a great evening which was nice. The hotel lobby and room were both great. Loved the design of our room. We have absolutely no complaints and will be back to visit in the future.

We had a fabulous time. The room was beautiful with the cutest couch. The room had a refrigerator but not a microwave. The shower was amazing. The bistro and bar weren’t open but there’s a lot of restaurants at the Avalon. We walked to the Avalon to enjoy the shopping and restaurants. We had a great weekend.

This place is always lovely and is still out favorite

The hotel was nicely kept. No complaints on the actual cleanliness or appearance. Checking in was a bit slower than most hotel check ins. However our biggest complaint would be the quality of mattress, pillows and towels. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The mattress felt like it had indentions. It was also very hard, provided no support. Lastly the towels were like sand paper. Low quality towels for sure. It made drying oneself an unpleasant experience. Other wise the place is clean, organized and pleasant.
