Beautiful property, conveniently located in one of my favorite areas in Alpharetta. There are plenty of shopping and dining options only steps away from the hotel. The staff was kind, professional, and welcoming. Our room was clean, classy, and quiet. Highly recommend.

While we were staying at the Avalon they were renovating the bar area. I still had a great experience watching the New York Knicks make it to the finals

Perfect location for us for a family party in the area. The Avalon is part of a mixed resi-retail village with many high end shops and restaurants. The community also includes a Whole Foods which was a very nice bonus. We ate at the large Whole Foods for convenience given the local restaurants were often crowded and some of the menus were limited. The fitness center is spacious and fairly quiet since most folks prefer the lying by the pool. The pool are is a bit of a scene late in the day especially with the frequent weddings that the hotel hosts.

Such a wonder, accommodating experience!

The room and amenities were great! Our rooms were available earlier than the scheduled time which was very helpful for us to arrive at our destination. The bar was a lot of fun and the drinks were great! We will be back again!

Cons: front desk staff failed to inform us of amenities available like pool/bar hours, available bikes to checkout, etc. Ordered room service to which the order was taken incorrectly (they wrote down the wrong room). Called them back regarding the food over an hour later and they bought us the food that had been sitting out. Ate only the crab soup and got food poisoning. Let them know and they gave a late checkout so I could get myself together but charged me for the food. Smh

The hotel was very clean & pretty, staff was also extremely nice, however once I got to my room it was extremely noisy, the walls are paper thin and some of the appliances were not working. You also have to pay for overnight parking or valet. Overall it was okay but not at all worth over $500/night for a single room.

I love this hotel. Location is key as we can walk the Avalon. The hotel common areas and room is always very clean. Valet and front desk staff are always super friendly and helpful. The pool and gym is nice. The beds are very comfortable. I will always stay here if it’s available when I visit.

My first room smelled like bleach, the bed was completely unmade (no sheets, pillows, or blankets were on the bed, and there was some type of dried excrement on the rug. They upgraded me to a corner King which was better but then when I was about to go to sleep, I get poked by a shard of hard plastic that looked and felt like glass. The staff came upstairs to investigate and saw that it was indeed a sharp shard in my bed. The next morning, I went to pick up one of my to go bags from.a restaurant and dust flew up in the area setting off my allergies. The gym has old equipment and fraying yoga mats and the staff doesnt seem to go out of their way to help or make your stay memorable unless there is a problem. I must say the night manager did give me a $30 voucher for food or drink as an apology and took half off the rate I paid for the room. Even so, there is so much about the hotel that lacks attention to detail. I probably would not stay here again even though it's so beautifully decorated. If this is supposed to be a luxury hotel, I would say they have some room for growth.

My husband and I stayed during valentine weekend and this was a wonderful choice. Everything was amazing!! The cleanliness of the grounds, the coziness of the lobby and bar area, and the convenience of location were some of the highlights.

It's always an amazing experience when we stay. Everyone is very courteous and eager to assist! All accommodations were great and the staff is superb!! I was not too keen on my food from the bar. The restaurant was not open at our time of ordering. It was finger food but still disappointing. We had the wings and fries. The wings were undercooked and the fries were very oily. The drinks were good from the bar.

We love it here! We came for a valentines trip and we love walking to the surrounding shops and restaurants. We love the hotel bar and ate breakfast there as well. Everything was wonderful!

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times and always enjoyed our stay. However, this stay gave negative vibes. I requested high floor in advance, we were placed in the back of hotel on second floor facing the hotel’s AC units. We were instantly unpleased. Secondly, our room was infested with ladybugs. While these critters don’t frighten me, it was gross; especially for $300/night. Front desk staff could’ve been more pleasant. In the past, front desk ALWAYS set the tone of our stay, by displaying exceptional customer service. We will be trying out other hotels in the area in the future.

Staff was very helpful and let us check in early. Valet were so nice and met me with a smile. Restaurant staff could take piinters from them.

Excellent location and nice rooms. Right in the middle of the action of Avalon. Parking is expensive. Really crowded to get in and out of facility due to it being in Avalon. Kind of pricey

The staff went out of their way to make our two ten year olds feel so special. They brought them nice bags filled with gifts and a treat to get at Starbucks. It made our girls trip and will forever make us love this hotel who went out of their way to treat them.

I would’ve rated the hotel as 10, but it was a bit noisy and more for an energetic crowd. Had a very huge wedding and a few other events going on which made the lobby and surrounding areas overcrowded.

I Needed something fun for my 15 year old daughters birthday and the staff all help me make her birthday awesome for her and a few friends . From allowing me an early check-in to do some decorating to pizza by the poolside they made it a perfect evening my daughter truly enjoyed! Thanks you!!

Great polite, front desk restaurant very clean and good menu. The people are always very kind and courteous the whole staff from the parking ballot to the restaurant people Starbucks is very near. The lobby is always full of happy friendly traveling people you can sit and talk in the winter time. The fireplace is awesome. The Christmas tree I just love this hotel and I absolutely love the environment and I love Avalon. May God continue to bless each individual that worked there.

Hotel is in an amazing location, however it is not very clean at all. The hallway was disgusting. You could see dirt and “crud” in the carpet. Mold in the shower and “something “ on the walls. Room was warm , air conditioning not sufficient. Pillows were stinky. However front desk staff/ housekeepers friendly. Just not clean

Property was beautiful, but our room needed some upgrade. Torn curtain, stained bench. Non working phone. Housekeeping service can be better. They missed one day and the next day almost at 4 pm , when we were returning to the room.

Upon arrival we were informed there was no pool or Netflix, which were two amenities we planned on for our stay. I wish that information would have been provided upon booking, because we would’ve chosen to stay elsewhere. When you have kids, those two things are crucial to a vacation, especially when rainy weather is forecasted.

It was ok, but not as good as I thought it would be. The lights in the bathroom were so dim. Only half of the lights worked. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was served at room temperature and the hotel lobby was full of unruly kids late at night.

I arrived very tired after a week of Market on a bitterly cold day and it was wonderful! I walked down the street for dinner and was delighted to be so comfortable in the lovely bed. Starbucks breakfast on my way out was convenient. Great stay!

The rudeness of the management of the restaurant is so over the top that it makes the entire hotel significantly worse. The restaurant apparently thinks the entire lobby is theirs if you want to go to the elevator from outside. For those who can’t magically fly and bypass the elevators, it makes it tough to enjoy the rooms

The restaurant management is pretty rude especially to hotel guests. Think I’ll find another place to stay unless I have something 30 seconds away from this place.

When checking in I was informed they did not have anymore deluxe king rooms due to overbooking. They gave us a standard king even after paying for deluxe king.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. It was fun and festive during December. Small things were missed that unfortunately make a difference in one’s stay. The coffee supplies were not refreshed in the room one day, there was no lotion or soap in the room upon check in. Another day water was not placed in the room. One morning we noticed that the floor towels were stained brown from the bathroom floor. Apparently there was a leak in the floor. We reported it but when we returned to our room 10 hrs later the toilet had been taken apart and left that way with tools all over the bathroom. We requested to be moved to another room. The shower was clogged in the new room so had to be moved again. The front desk staff was very receptive to our issues and everyone was very polite and kind. The gym is great. I am sure it was a busy time for the hotel so I would stay here again. Parking is expensive but very convenient.

Bug issue

The only CON I’d give was the mattress was pretty firm and I had a stiff back the next morning. But I’d love to visit some of their other properties across the country and beyond!

This hotel is like a resort oasis in the middle of Alpharetta. It is perfectly location within Avalon, so between the hotel itself and the amenities around the hotel, it's perfect. The rooms are quiet and beds are very comfortable.

The overall experience was very good, and we will definitely be back. It is such a great local option to get away from home and enjoy a special evening out. My only issue that occured, would be a misconception of what a "room with a view" is. I was able to get a solid price for the hotel room, however booked a King Corner room, which was at a higher cost. When we arrived, the front desk clerk said she "would move us up 1 floor for a better view" because we were Marriot Bonvoy members. We were placed on the 3rd floor, and there was no view to speak of. We were facing the top of the building's roof and staring down at the backside of a parking lot with a dumpster. While I understand that the location of the hotel has limtied views, I wouldn't have advertised this to a guest as an "upgrade". We stayed in Room 336 for reference. I do want to convey that the staff was very professional, the room was great, and we loved our dining experience at South City Kitchen for breakfast. Thank you.

We loved the area and the amenities. The hotel room was very small and a bit run down. Some of the wallpaper was coming up and picture frames were badly damaged. It also didn't seem the cleanest for a hotel of this stature.
