    The elevator was down, the TV in our room didn't work, and the smoke detector in our room was ripped out. When these issues were brought up to the staff, we were told a maintenance person would come to address the problems. No one ever came. When I asked again, I was told a maintenance person wasn't even available that day.

    On my first night, I discovered blood stains on the bed sheets. When I reported the issue to the front desk, I was told there were no other rooms available. As a result, I had to change the sheets myself. While doing so, I found additional blood stains on the pillows, which was even more disturbing. At that point, I removed all the bedding, threw it on the floor, took photographs, and brought the issue to the attention of the front desk staff. Despite providing evidence of the condition of the room, I did not feel that my complaint was taken seriously. I asked to speak with the General Manager, but he was unavailable. The following day, I again requested to speak with him and was told he was unavailable once more. Eventually, a front desk employee moved me to a different room, which was acceptable. However, that does not change the fact that my first night was spent dealing with a room that should never have been rented to a guest in that condition. Given the seriousness of the cleanliness issue, I requested that the first night be removed from my bill as a gesture of goodwill. The hotel refused and required me to pay for all three nights of my stay. Finding blood-stained bedding and pillows in a hotel room is completely unacceptable. What made the situation worse was the lack of urgency, accountability, and management involvement in addressing the problem. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this

    The room did not feel fully prepared for guests. There wasn’t enough shampoo and conditioner, and I found a spider and some dead insects in one corner. The bathroom sink had a drainage issue and drained very slowly. The toilet also had an improperly fitted seat, it appeared to be a round seat installed on an elongated toilet, which was uncomfortable and gave the impression that maintenance had been overlooked. The room wasn’t dirty, but the bedding didn’t feel fresh. I requested housekeeping the next day and even removed the pillowcases hoping they would be changed. When we returned, the towels had been straightened, but the bedding and most of the room appeared untouched. Breakfast was also disappointing. The hotel was clearly busy, but only one employee seemed to be handling the breakfast area, making it difficult to keep food stocked for guests. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it felt understaffed and not fully prepared for the number of guests staying there. I hope they improve these areas in the future.

    It was some B.S. a gay guy couple fought for several hours screaming yelling and fist fighting and no body from the hotel did anything there was no parking. And worst of all we got NO SLEEP! the bed was hard as an anvil. Ill never go back there!

    The receptionist was not friendly at check in. He checked me in and gave me the key and that’s pretty much it. I had to ask him about amenities and got an extra key. The room was decent. There was hair in my bath towel… and I woke up in the middle of the night to a roach in the bathroom… I had to go to the desk to request clean towels but had to bring down the old ones to get new ones. No one was at the desk, I had to say hello every single time I went to the desk because they were always in the back. Parking is kind of tight but free. The room were nice and cold.

    Trash cans overflowing and garbage everywhere. Breakfast area made me want to call Fulton Co. Health inspector. Sketchy things going on in parking lot all night. Pool light hanging on by a wire in the water! Another couple from Charleston told me they had finally hit bottom by staying there and I concurred. This is the 2nd time decent ratings on the site were totally misleading. Do better! It was disgusting!

    Only helpful person was receptionist at night time(she was super nice ) Didn’t see any house keeping for the two nights there. Room smelled sometimes like dog and hallway close to elevator smelled like cigarettes (even though there’s a no smoking sign.) Breakfast was all gone by 8:30 on Friday. Breakfast lady wasn’t nice about it either and even said “oh well that’s too bad it’s almost 9” in her language. Second night they seem to run out of everything again. People would ask for forks ,butter and sugar and she will say there’s no more. If we would have extended our trip we would have definitely left to a different hotel..

    I enjoyed my stay at LaQuinta. This location is about 3 min drive to the shopping mall and right across the street from a Target/old navy plaza. Very convenient. Good food options nearby/walking distance and everything else is just a quick drive. Check in was very quick and easy, parking is very convenient. The room was clean and did not have a bad smell. There were plenty of washcloths and towels. The water pressure was good (not the greatest) the water stayed hot. The only issue that kept it from getting full credit from me is the elevator not feeling very safe and they were not very clean. I actually didn’t see a single housekeeper the whole weekend I was there. I would certainly stay here again!

    My room was crawling with roaches, as was the entire hotel. There are roach traps set up in the lobby and by the elevators. The carpet in my room also had stains and were sticky in some areas. Breakfast was basic. They ran out of a lot of things like eggs, sausages, and waffle mix and would not replenish even though there was still 30 minutes left of breakfast service. This happened a few times. The hotel washer and dryer do not work. My clothes were soaking wet after an hour in the dryer. I gave up and brought it all back to my room to air dry. I'll be expecting a refund for this. Two of the front desk staff were quite rude when speaking to myself and a few other guests that I overheard. The trash cans on each floor were often overflowing, they clearly do not collect the trash daily. People would throw out their towels, bedding, dirty diapers, etc in the halls right by their doors and those would not be picked up until a day or two later. The fire alarm went off one morning for about an hour. The fire fighters and police arrived and they couldn't figure out why, they said it was possibly just a system failure. Hopefully this was just a one time thing, but it was a huge inconvenience and possibly dangerous if the alarm system was triggered in error. Overall, this place sucked. I've stayed in cheaper places that were better than this.

    I could get some good sleep. As far the room goes, it was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was nice but inside the shower you could see the paint chipping. The shower/tub was small, but I figure was due to the fact that enlarged the nook that held The refrigerator and microwave with built in coffee nook. I do not watch tv, but the tv was pretty big. I tried to set up my Netflix, but it kept sending me a message and the tv. But I did get my YouTube hooked and watched that. The hotel had lots of Parking, so that was good. And it located near their north point mall and restaurants that you could walk too. Overall, it was great stay and I would recommend to anyone.

    First they put us in a conjoined room without informing us prior, traveling with young children so this was a big NO for us. Moved rooms and immediately we noticed there were roaches ON THE COFFE MACHINE AND CUPS! Walked into the restroom and there was ANOTHER ROACH IN THE TUB AND DIRTY SOCKES ON THE SHOWER CURTAIN. And this point we just left, unfortunately we booked through Expedia so they told us we had to get refunded through Expedia, reach out about our issues asking for a refund, they denied us a refund of a two day stay after us being there only 30-45 minutes. I’m extremely disappointed with both La Quinta and Expedia.

    However, the experience with the reception staff was disappointing. The employees at the front desk felt cold, indifferent, and not very empathetic, especially the person working the night shift. Their attitude made it difficult to address problems during the stay. Housekeeping was also an issue. Our room was cleaned the first night, but we stayed for five nights and after that the room was not cleaned again until the very last night, and only after I complained. Towels were not replaced, there was no toilet paper at one point, and even small things like ants in the room were not addressed. The shampoo bottles provided were extremely small, and when I complained I was given additional towels and shampoo only once. The laundry facilities were another frustration. The dryer barely worked and I lost almost two hours trying to dry my clothes, but they were still not dry. Breakfast itself was average. It would be nice to see more options, especially vegetables. Overall, the hotel has some good elements like comfortable beds and decent showers, but there is clear room for improvement, especially with housekeeping consistency, the laundry equipment, and most importantly the attitude and service of the reception staff, particularly at night.

    The room was huge with high ceilings. The proximity to restaurants and the mall was very convenient. It didn't receive 5 stars because the TV's satellite service (Dish) in either of the rooms we looked at was unavailable. Fortunately, we were not in the room for long, otherwise, the TV factor would be a major concern.

    Check-in was smooth and hassle free. Room was decent, not one of the rooms from remodel pictures, but still fine. I will say if you like a very hard or stiff bed, your in luck. The beds were like sheets on a piece of plywood. I did see one dead roach in hallway and one small roach in lobby area, but non in my room. The room was clean and it had individual room a/c and heat control. The staff was mostly courteous and welcoming. A few of the morning lobby and breakfast staff were sour and grumpy. The free hot breakfast consisted of waffles, scrambled (guessing powdered) eggs, sausage, envelopes of grits/oat meal/cream of wheat and toast/bagel. The rest was all cold cereal, yogurt and a fruit (apples one day and bananas the next). I probably would have given a 3 and half star, but that's not an option.

    However, room needs fumigation. Unidentifiable bugs crawling in the room. Sink rims not thoroughly clean. Dripping brown liguid around a part of the edges. Dirt could be seen around the rim Remote control appeared to be covered in food crust. Had to wipe down with alcohol wipes. Hair dry had a thick film of sticky grime. Dirt did jot come off with water.

    On our first night, we found cockroaches in the room. We were then moved to another room, which also had issues and was not functioning properly. We reported this immediately, but were told that no other rooms were available. On the second night, we again found small cockroaches in the bathroom, which quickly disappeared into a hole in the wall. This situation is completely unacceptable and reflects a serious lack of cleanliness and proper maintenance.

    We checked in at night and the first room we were given the AC was broken, got switched to another room and the smell of “old” and smoke was ridiculous, also there were hairs on the bed. We opted to not switch again due to the attitude of the front desk lady. My sister had a separate room and also had to switch, 1st room had BUGS cockroaches crawling out of the room, 2nd room AC stayed at 75 or higher. Would not recommend staying here to anyone.

    All exhausted and looking forward to getting into bed, I've learned that the hotel's night manager canceled my reservation. She claimed that I had to keep them updated on what time I would be arriving. So I should’ve taken my attention from driving through awful weather conditions and calling them and keeping them well informed about what time I'll be arriving. That’s ridiculous. My room was basically paid by me until 11 AM so why would they cancel? The staff member who I was dealing with had nothing but an inappropriate attitude: instead of accommodating, the solution I was offered was to book another room for a higher rate that I had my reservation for. The Hotels.com representative wasn’t helpful either. What a shame!!!

    This place is absolutely disgusting. There was so much black/brown hair all over my pillow cases, bed sheets and comforter, not to mention the bathroom. Since I was on the 4th floor and at the end of the hall with the elevator broken...I called the front desk for new bed linens. She said she'd send someone right up with them. They never came so I slept on top of towels to avoid these dirty sheets. The air unit was also FILTHY!!! I could not use it knowing it was going to just blow mold and dust everywhere. If I wanted this service, I'd have stayed at a motel 6, this is the most substandard service I've had at a hotel. I should be charging THEM a $175 deposit!!! This is honestly such a ghetto hotel and I didn't expect this in the Northpoint mall area. Never ever again.

    The housekeeping staff was lacking. I spent 5 nights of 7 day trip and my room was never serviced.     The area was beautiful and the hotel seemed nice as u approach but little things made it not so good. The keys don’t work once u go outside the back, you can’t get back and have to get another key. My door kept getting stuck when trying to enter I had to use my shoulder and force to get in. The worst part was I saw a bug in shower (pretty sure it was a roach). At that point I knew my review wouldn’t be too favorable.

    This La Quinta in Alpharetta has been one of our go-to hotels. Convenient location: close to the highway, plenty of dining options, and near the mall. All that said, it's a quiet area which we really enjoy. The staff are nice except for one guy who worked the front desk when we first checked in. The hotel is well-kept and clean. The only inconvenience this time was the broken elevator- this and the one unfriendly staff are the only reason I'm giving 4stars this time around.

    Parking was easy and the hotel is in a safe and convenient area with Starbucks, Taco Bell, and Chipotle all near it. Service was ok, front desk lady was nice. Walls seemed thick and we didn’t hear anyone from other rooms and bed was comfy. My only complaints would be the smell of our room and the breakfast. Our room smelled like mildew and wet dog. The smell seemed to be coming from the AC. Probably never been cleaned/never replaced the filter. The smell filled the whole room. The breakfast literally consisted of waffles, bread, muffins, bagels, powdered eggs, and sausage patties. That’s all. Overall, it’s was ok. Price was good and I would stay here again.

    I’ve been staying for two weeks at La Quinta Inn & Suites Atlanta Alpharetta. On Monday, Oct 6, 2025, around 5:30 AM, I used the toaster after asking for permission the day before, since I leave early for work and wanted to save time in the morning. I didn’t break any hotel rules, and no one was at the front desk when I went down—the sign even said “Front Desk is away right now.” A woman then came out from the back yelling that breakfast wasn’t served yet. I calmly explained I already had permission, but she refused to listen, kept shouting, and even threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave. She actually did, which was humiliating, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional behavior toward a loyal guest.

    I hated this experience, I completed my reservation and was never told by expedite or the laquinta staff when I call to verify my reservation that a additional $175 deposit was due and due to no having the funds had to cancel, and loose part of my money and drive 4 hours and 55 minutes to not have a place to stay, and having to sleep I my car for the night and then return home because my husband was upset with sleeping in the car due to the hotel plans costing us more than what we had. Ad the staff was so mean, she said she would refund my money once expedia calls her but then when they called her she refused to refund my money and I received only half of my money back after speaking to her, and this turn out to be the worst weekend ever...and I purchased the insurance to make sure if anything went wrong I could get my money back, but this is all a lie...will never use your services again...

    The property did not allow me to check in, Her name is Shay. I lost my physical ID on Yesterday before I got to Hotel, I had my paper copy from DDS.Shay would not accept it. I also tried to showed her my email confirmation she would not accept it. I begged her to bend rules also asked for Manager, which Shay says the Manager returns on Monday.     There was visible water damage and mold in multiple areas, the AC unit was falling out of the wall and did not work properly, and the bathrooms were in terrible condition. Ultimately, I canceled my reservation and moved to another hotel. Guests deserve a clean and safe environment, and management should take responsibility for ensuring that. Until major improvements are made, I strongly recommend choosing another property.

Did not find out until check in that hotel required a $175 deposit in addition to room charge. Had we known that there was such a steep deposit, would have never booked.     Had an amazing stay! The room was tidy and clean at check in and all the staff was very helpful. I had such a wonderful visit. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting

    Meh, would not stay there again. Room was musky smelling. Heard other patrons state they didn’t have hot water in their room and staff made it sound like “yeah… we know that happens sometimes” They told the lady that’s common for one side of the hotel, we can give you another room. Lady was like, well then why did you put me in this room to begin with?! Staff just seemed like “I don’t know I just work here” kind of attitude. Very underwhelming property, did not feel clean, and borderline safe. One night was enough.

    As we were leaving, my husband had our dog crates and was exiting our room. One of our dogs pushed past my husband and was out in the hall. We are very good with keeping our dogs in a leash, but this was a complete accident. He has decent recall, but ran up to a staff member to be greeted, but the moment I called him back, he came running back. We were fussing at our dogs when the guy was extremely rude stating our dogs always need to be on a leash. Granted, he is right, but the tone and the attitude was completely uncalled for. I also understand if you’re scared of dogs, but don’t work at a pet friendly hotel if that is the case. We are extremely sorry about this happening, but my dog came back immediately when called. It took me a split second to step around my husband to call him back. But the moment I spoke, he turned around and darted back in the room. The attitude was unnecessary. Other than that, our stay was decent.

    I think it would have been an overall great experience but I just can't do bugs. The room had roaches. The hallway floors were dirty. Breakfast items could be better. Water pressure in the shower is so low. Bed was very comfortable. Room was cool. Easy parking.

    When we arrived in our room, we noticed the linens on the bar and the pillow were dirty. Both the pillows and the comforter had black stains a dirt marks on them. There was also hair in the sheets. When we went to the front desk to ask housekeeping to change the linens, we were told “housekeeping was almost done with their tasks for the day” and we were given one sheet. This wasn’t sufficient, and we insisted they change the sheets and pillows. The front desk staff was rude and we had to essentially force them to change the sheets so we could sleep in a clean bed. That being said, the woman is housekeeping that ended up changing the sheets was very nice and helpful.

    We had double beds and one of the beds was obviously never changed. The sheets were stained, there was hair on the sheets and quite a few crumbs of something. Someone made up the bed like this….it was gross!

    We haven't stayed at a La Quinta Inn in over 5 yrs and won't do it again. After our first night we had 3 requests for maintenance. The lady at the desk could not have cared less. None were done. We got no maid service at all over our 3 night stay. The shower appeared moldy. The internet wifi just quit multiple times.

    I had a nice stay there. It includes breakfast, which is nice and it’s 100% smoke free, which I appreciate immensely. The only issues which were minor, was doors slamming shut occasionally and the shower does not have a strong flow, which may be due to trying to save water. Those two things it was a nice place to stay.

    The stay was good. Though the room definitely needs an exhaust fan in the bathroom and the in room coffee maker did not work as there was parts missing. Room was clean and fairly comfortable.

    Room itself was good, layout King suite was nice but burn holes in drapes, water was odd..took awhile to get hot, then seemed like shower knob was either 'hot" or off..no in between. Needs some interior cosmetic improvement of property. Management was nice, but customers had long wait front desk at times from general staff; one lady in front of us was waiting 20 mins for girl who disappeared behind wall. Breakfast was average, could have better/more selection. Sausage patties were floppy and unappealing. Powdered eggs..didn't even try. Best selection was waffles. Hair dryer did not work, housekeeping did not bring towels as requested, needed to get from front desk. They left garbage outside room. Only took one photo of drapes, so we wouldn't get our $175 deposit forfeited. In general would stay again in same type of room configuration if other hotels in area were booked.

    Former comments about AC and construction were not applicable on our stay. Room was super cold after AC was turned down a bit, room was spacious and clean. Shay at the front desk was great!!! $175 deposit that is held for 3-5 days is frustrating but it was it is.

    Great convenient place to stay for a concert. Staff was efficient and friendly. Love that they have a pool but it needs to refurbished. They also need to water their plants. The poor hydrangeas were burnt up around the entry. Overall, they have really good coffee 24 hours which is nice with all the running around and there are many restaurants within walking range

    We stayed one night, and that was more than enough—we won’t be coming back. When we arrived, the front desk lady was clearly unhappy; her attitude was not welcoming at all. As soon as we entered the room, it smelled strongly of urine—it was really bad. The bed sheets were damaged, and the breakfast is not good at all. I’m not sure how safe the area is, but I saw five police officers in the lobby asking the front desk lady questions. Honestly, I couldn’t sleep through the night. Avoid this place.

    Did not get 5 stars because the bathroom was a little shabby and we had trouble adjusting the air conditioner. New management explained renovations were taking place. We would stay there again if we need to.

    We’ve stayed here many times but will not stay again. The hotel has deteriorated and the service is bad. Every time we left our room we had to get a new key because ours wouldn’t work. We stayed 3 nights and never received clean towels or soap. No service to our room at all. Ice machines were broken and shower/tub needed to be replaced. Water dripped all night from shower.
