Traveling with a pet and trailer. This hotel is conveniently located off the i40. Trailer parking is on the side street, not at the parking lot. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly.

I want to share something following a very long journey I made all the way from Montana. I had been driving and wanted to get some rest, so I had made a reservation at the "Everest Home, Sweet" —a very new, very beautiful hotel. However, to my great regret and amidst the uncertainty I often face, I found that people there treat you solely based on your appearance. Just because you’ve come from working hard to earn your daily bread—and happen to be a bit dirty because your job involves construction work—it doesn't mean you are worthless. That is what bothers me about people—and about many states—where there seems to be a complete lack of empathy or humanity toward others. Fortunately, however, I found the Best Western. I made a reservation there; at the first location, they treated me well and were not unfriendly, and at the second location, they treated me absolutely wonderfully. There, they didn't care what I looked like; instead, they respected me as a human being. That is exactly what I value: being respected for who I am and for my inherent worth, not judged by my outward appearance. This is a recurring issue in many places I visit; since my job involves driving, I travel from state to state, and there are places where people treat you as if you have no value whatsoever. It drives me crazy—it really irritates me. I feel helpless because I cannot change people; some people are simply like that—unfriendly and radiating bad energy. But what can I do? I have stayed here on several occasions and your staff has usually help us during our many travels. This time I was dealing with many issues to including putting the wrong date in the reservation. So, as a no show we paid. Then the next day we showed up they charged 117. For the night. I was thinking that was wonderful. The next day they added another payment without consulting us. This was more then frustrating.

Amazing facility in so many ways - the pool, the hot tub, the room, the bed, the bathroom, etc. But our breakfast experience dampened our experience at such a great facility - there was no butter, and the hot water for making hotmeal was just warm (when I mentioned that to the kitchen staff, they said 'that's how they make it). The cleaning ladies seemed to be in a hurry to wipe the tables with a lot of spraying of the cleaning liquid. FYI, this stay was part of a 12-day trip across 4 states and Mexico - and this facility, which was also the 3rd Best Western in our itinerary, rated in the top 2, save the lousy staff.

Everything was great except when we went to try and have breakfast some of the items were out already at 8 am. Maybe we could have stayed and waited and they would have brought out more, idk. This is only a minor issue though.

Nice, clean, pretty quiet. There was quite a line waiting to check in behind someone who was having issues and I guess there was nobody else that could help. I felt bad for the guy at the counter but maybe he could’ve helped the rest of us quickly before getting back to the other person.

The room was basic, but nice and clean. Bed and towels, etc. were nice. The shower was hard to turn on without getting wet, but did not leak water onto the floor. Barn doors on the bathroom were a mistake. They did not close all the way and that left privacy out. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good. Location was close to highway, so easily accessible to all we wanted to see.

I am writing to formally file a complaint and request the immediate processing of a refund regarding a serious safety incident during our stay at Best Western Plus Amarillo East. During our stay in Room 305, the front desk mistakenly issued our room key to another guest. As a result, a strange man suddenly opened our room door and entered our room while we were inside. This was extremely frightening and completely unacceptable from a guest safety standpoint. After this incident, our room key stopped working and we had to return to the front desk to have it reset. Because of this situation, we felt unsafe and were unable to sleep properly for the remainder of the night. In addition, the Wi-Fi was not working and the neighboring room was very noisy, further affecting our stay. We were told by the hotel manager that we would receive a refund and that we would be contacted by phone. However, we never received a call and no refund has been processed to date. This was a serious security failure, and we are extremely disappointed that the promised resolution has not been honored. Please process the promised refund immediately and confirm it in writing. If this matter is not resolved immediately, we will have no choice but to escalate this issue through corporate guest relations and other appropriate channels. Comfy beds and pillows

Awesome hotel location is not bad, the floors in the upgraded rooms are a lil slick barefoot. No fans in the bathrooms and the dog area is really really small but kept up nice. The girls at the check in are really sweet . As a whole we loved our room and we will be back. Also the pillows need to be better.

Blood in the sheets and dirt on the towels

First, the night receptionist was adamant that we did not have a reservation, since she could not find my name in her system. I explained that we. certainly did have a reserved room, I knew I had made this with Expedia, and advised her that the hotel had sent me reminders all day, at least three, that we were being welcomed to our upcoming visit that day. She then asked that I show here these texts and messages on my phone as proof. Finally, she complained that it was Expedia’s fault, since they used my last name instead of my first name. First clue that this place is not well trained in customer service. Then, the toilet in our bathroom had a broken flushing mechanism, causing us to have to take the back off the toilet to make it flush manually. The breakfast was dry, limited and non appetizing. When I asked the morning manager for help with an important fax I had to send, she said, “I don’t know anything about how to fax. But you can go figure it out yourself.” Here’s what I figured out, it’s a strong NO at this hotel. Don’t waste your money.

This hotel was probably one of the best that we have stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help you with whatever you needed. The rooms were nice and clean including the carpet, which is always a plus :-) the pool and hot tub was nice and clean… We will definitely be staying here again.

Cheap and close to highway but I was allergic to something. Either the sheets were dirty or the room had mold or a cat in it.

I liked how easy it was to get on and off the freeway but it was still quiet. The bed was comfy and very roomy. The staff was pleasant with the evening employee being nice but more direct. The breakfast and coffee machine were great! The only down were the heavy loud doors and one of the pillows had a single spot that smelled like men’s deodorant. I feel like it was not cleaned and one pillow had no pillow case. So I question if it was fully cleaned. Some said the shower was dirty but ours was clean with some nicks in the floor portion. No problems though.

The cleanliness of the hotel was wonderful. Breakfast was fine. Your coffee machine is top tier. Incredible! The bloody barn doors to the bathroom are TERRIBLE and dangerous. No privacy, and the handles are sharp and cut our hands when pulled the wrong way in the middle of the night. The pillows are tiny and not supportive one bit.

Upon arrival - Shower floor dirty, hair on hardwood floor, UNUSABLY slow WiFi, bag labeled “spare pillow” had a set of sheets/no pillow, cup rings from previous guests on coffee table, room had an unpleasant/not fresh/mildewy smell, both TV’s respond to one remote causing cross-device confusion, complete inability to cast despite claims of offering such. A lot of disappointment in every direction.

The Wi-Fi was hit and miss. And there is not a functioning bar at this location as it states on the site.

Booked a king room. When we arrived after a very long road trip we were given a double queen and told that we could not change it because we booked thru Expedia. First time that has happened to us in years of travel. Very disappointing.

A few fast food restaurants near the hotel. All within walking distance. Very close to the freeway so access is easy. Road noise is minimal.

So we arrived around 9pm after 12 hours of driving. No one was at the counter. After waiting about 10 minutes, I called their number online and asked if someone could please check us in bc we have been waiting! She says she will be right there. After about 3-4 more minutes, she finally arrives. She has this look of irritation like we were an inconvenience to her!!! She also had somewhat of an attitude. Well we get to our room for 5 people, like I paid for, and had only 3 towels. I had to go back down to get towels. There were also cleaning supplies left on the counter in the bathroom. The bathroom door not only doesn’t lock, but it doesn’t shut all the way, so you have a 2 inch gap allowing anyone walking by the bathroom door to see inside. For the price for this hotel, you can find something much better.

The hotel was not as clean as we are comfortable with. Shower did not appear to be thoroughly clean and the pillows were not even full sized pillows but rather small lumps of stuffing.

This is a great location--on the outskirts of town, and literally a stone's throw from I40. Despite that proximity, the room was very quiet.

We were never told we could not leave our small dog in room in her cage. When we went out I got a text saying we had to go pick her up or they would call animal control to remove our dog. We have stayed in a lot of hotels, this is the first one who did that. I was also charged for a water and a Pepsi to my room. I had bought 2 waters at different times but had paid cash for them. The manager didn’t seem to really care to find out who had charged them to my room, just that they had to be paid. So I will never stay at that location again.

Busy place but quiet enough for a single night. Breakfast offered the regular items one expects. They did have a latte machine which was good. Easy freeway access too!

Needed a mid-trip night’s stay so we chose this hotel on our way to Colorado. They are pet friendly and that was a necessity this trip. It was nice and clean so we stayed here on our journey home as well.

My stay was just yesterday, and I felt compelled to share how impressed I was. The room was fantastic—spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering all the comforts one could ask for. The breakfast was equally delightful, providing a wide array of delicious options that perfectly set the tone for the day. The overall ambiance of the hotel was exceptional. Bed was comfortable, AC was cold, floor needed vacuumed, surfaces were not clean.

Everything was great, the only recommendations are to check inside of toilet, wasn’t super clean, and to have sheets for fold out sofa already in the room when 3 people book a king with sleeper sofa. We had to go downstairs to get our own sheets and pillow.

Great stay on a road trip from California to Chicago.

The hotel is tucked behind an another hotel and the jumble of signs got confusing but it sits close to the interstate and far enough off the road to be safe and quiet. Amenities are good, staff friendly and accommodating.

The hot tub was the best. Most hotels offer hot tub and pool. And most the time the darn hot tub is out of order. But not here. And the breakfast was really good. Had a good variety of breakfast. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Well I arrived about 2 hours before check in so they charged me $40 which sucked, but it goes straight to the house cleaning staff so that helped a little, but it's put me off staying at Best Western in the future... The hotel is new. It was nice, clean, and quiet. My room key stopped working after the first night so I went all the way up to my 4th floor room with dinner in hand only to have to turn around and make the trip again to get my key programmed. Breakfast was typical frozen round eggs, and hash browns and a waffle machines. Coffee was decent.

I was able to change our room to handicap acessable due to my wife having a recent back injury.

Property is a little confusing to turn into, as you have to turn into another hotel’s parking lot first. Very clean and modern, friendly staff greeting us every time we came in or stepped off the elevator. Room was clean and nicely updated with lvp flooring, but it has a sliding door for the bathroom that doesn’t lock, and leaves a big gap in the opening, so depending on who you’re sharing a room with it can be awkward. Great value overall, would definitely recommend.

I had a very comfortable bed for the night. The room was large and quiet.on the negative side all I can come up with is the carpet was fraying in one spot and the breakfast staff quit too early. At 8:30 there were no forks and some food items were out. I would stay there again.
