Woke up with multiple bites all over body and shower was absolutely not cleaned . There was no soap in pumper shampoo bottle. This is an upscale trying to be luxury hotel. The valet driver was stoned out of his mind. Only reason I gave 2 star was restaurant was actually really good. After seeing Amarillo this is better then most any other hotel around . Just be prepared for bug bites.

The staff was excellent! It seemed they had their hands full and not enough staff for Sunday morning. The bed was really hard and not what I expected for the price. What a great experience and the environment was truly amazing!!! None Except the beds

The shower door silicone gasket was broken. Otherwise great facility, staff is very friendly. They have a very cute speakeasy in the basement good food, pleasant staff other than the one at the front desk who seems incompetent.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is in an amazing historical building with a unique story. The renovation was well done. We found the bed comfortable but the pillows were terrible. We traveled with friends who both had trouble with their toilets and showers but ours was good. The speakeasy was fun but the drink selection wasn't to our liking. How do you run out of amaretto on a saturday evening? The workout facility more than met our needs!

Excellent place in Amarillo, which is a small city. This hotel has a nice warm small city feel. Great speak easy and restaurant in hotel and a nice outdoor patio on 2nd floor. Nice comfortable rooms.

Beautiful hotel, staff was great. Restaurant not so good. Needs significant improvement in quality of food preparation. Overcooked (meat burnt on one side and then hidden by putting burnt side down on the plate side in one case), another pasta dish enter at the same meal was served luke warm, not fresh and hot as it should have Ben. This is a problem and should be addressed. Two porly cooked meals at the same sitting is not an accident. The bar and staff on the other hand were excellent.

The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Since I stayed on Christmas ever, the hotel restaurant and rooftop bar were a wonderful place to hang out after my drive in. The hotel bedding was a dream!

The room was stunning and the staff was amazing loved the feel of the hotel and felt very warm and welcoming ! Very clean and elegant as well with the touch of cowboy to it.

Never stayed here and was charged for a weekend stay without my acknowledge

First of all - the minute we walked in, I noticed how amazing the lobby smelled! They sell candles of their signature scent - smells so good! Our room was large and clean with everything we needed. We had dinner at Toscana and it was good but a little overpriced for what the amount and quality of food. Drinks at the bar were very good and staff were helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if in the area.

Everything about The Barfield was top-notch. The service, the rooms, the restaurant and bar downstairs, and the valet parking. While it's on the more expensive side, you get what you pay for here. Fantastic experience! And check out Shi Lee's BBQ & Soul Food just a 1/2 mile from the hotel. Amazing soul food!

Everything in that place is thought out and time and money spent to make it unique. Plus the building is very old, yet kept up really well. And the speak easy! Gorgeous! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Every part of the stay was unique and awesome!

Renovated. Nice bar and restaurant. Room was comfortable but TV remote and shower door dis not work.

We stayed at the Barfield for our anniversary, which my husband told them when making dinner reservations. The staff put a floral arrangement at our table with a happy anniversary card from the staff. Several of the staff wished us a happy anniversary. Alexis, our server, was amazing and made our experience that much better with her attention to detail and kindness. Highly recommend the Barfield Hotel and Toscana Italian Steakhouse restaurant. It is an experience everyone should have many times!

Poor shower and a dangerous leak from the shower..

Very cool hotel, pet friendly, great food, our dog Thor was welcomed to all the areas of the hotel (understandably not the Restaurant) but the downstairs hidden Speakeasy was a highlight for us and Thor! Definitely will stay again!

The location was WONDERFUL staff was AMAZING

Really nice stay in Amarillo - my only complaints are that our trash can in the room was not emptied upon arrival and it was EXTREMELY noisy all night. To be fair, it was a saturday night. Otherwise, nice property.

The hotel was very nice. Beautiful combination of historic and modern luxury. My only issue was the noice from a nearby club. Had to use earplugs.

We paid through Hotels.com and the hotel charged us separately so we have paid twice. They are making no efforts to reimburse us for charging us double for our stay.

This was our 2nd time to stay at the Barfield. It is definitely the best place to stay in Amarillo and we appreciate that the downtown area is very walkable. The front desk recommended the new rooftop bar upon arrival. Although the cocktail menu was creative the service was very slow and it took a while before we could order food. Our room was quiet and comfortable and will stay again but may skip the rooftop bar next time.

We stayed at The Barfield for the first time this past Sunday night to break up our drive from Dallas to Angel Fire, NM and really enjoyed the comfort and style of this beautiful hotel. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful and the room is very modern and comfortable. We enjoyed it so much that we are considering staying there on our way back.

Very unique property in the heart of Amarillo!

Check in was great! After long drive from Dallas had an Ole fashion and “The Blue drink” that was amazing in the Secret Room downstairs. Then went up to Top Floor and watched baseball game. Really cool spot in Amarillo of all places. Rooms are large and super clean.

Wonderful and I plan on returning in about a month. The speakeasy bar downstairs has a great ambience and the most skillful bartender ever.!

Everything was great except checking out , ordered a cart to carry stuff on .they left it outside our room and didn’t notify us.

This place is great! Very clean and spacious. We had breakfast at the restaurant the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this place. We also went to the speakeasy it was a little crowded and not much privacy but overall experience was great.

very nice and i would say again

My whole family loved our stay. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the lobby was busy but comfortable, the accommodations were terrific. The only opportunity was the outside noise, we stayed in 6th floor and we heard the cars, the ambulances, the trains and the pedestrians. Would definitely still recomend.

Wonderful hotel. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to stay downtown. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable. The speakeasy was very cool. Comfortable and quiet stay.

We loved the atmosphere of the Barfield. I thought the room was cozy and the bed was perfectly comfortable. The light fixture didn’t work when we got there, nothing we couldn’t handle. Restaurant and speakeasy was great. Would stay again.

A cool place to stay while in Amarillo, the speak easy is highly over rated, didnt even acknowledge us when we walked directly up to the bar. It should highly be more accommodating when paying such a high price to stay in the hotel. I would definitely stay next door again.

It’s a great hotel with big rooms and great bars and restaurant.

Hotel is beautiful- the rooms, the lobby. Tried to order room service one morning for breakfast and there was no answer so after I waited and waited just decided to just go down to restaurant to eat but service was quite slow. First time visiting Amarillo and I expected more life around town. The historic district was dead and grimy and a lot of the town is abandoned buildings. The Palo Duro canyon was amazing which is why we traveled to Amarillo so if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel 30 minutes from the canyon, this is it.

Wonderfully maintained hotel.

The young ladies at the bar were exceptional upstairs and downstairs. I do think the upstairs bar should be reserved for occupants of the hotel, not walk in drink only customers. The guys on the car detail, young man who helps load cars, friendly, all exceptional friendly caring people.

Rooms were a little dated. Speakeasy was really cool for drinks. The valet was bad. Took 40 min to get our car.

What a difference to the previous property, could not fault barfield. The hotel room was great, all staff were awesome and the bar and restaurant was great.

Very nice hotel but the room we were placed in was not clean. There was rice between the seat cushions on one of the chairs and I found a contact lens on the floor near the bathroom. Bedside table had something spilled that was never cleaned as well. Really disappointing for that price. The hotel was beautiful and nostalgic.

I was really happy with this hotel as I was stopping through Amarillo. The staff at check in and in the cafe were very nice, the room was very clean and spacious, and I enjoyed the gym facilities. Everyone there from the cleaning ladies to the valet were so nice. I highly recommend!

The hotel was nice the staff wasnt all that great as well i was randomly charged 611 dollars which to this date is still pending but i was told by 2 managers that it would drop off. Either way wasnt a bad hotel would i go back prob not.

The bathroom floor was wet as if there was a leak. The hardware was also loose and the faucet and hand-held shower head did not work properly.
