The staff was nice. Quiet and peaceful at night It wasn't clean the window curtain was hanging on the floor was dirty had tobacco between mattresses. The bottom mattress was black I mean dirty. But other than that it was a quiet place. I wouldn't stay there anymore.

The lock had previously been ripped off the door. There was no basket for trash, . A toilet paper, mini soap, and a couple of old towels were left on the bed. This is basically a welfare flop house. The junkies are there to keep an eye on your car, I guess. I couldn't bring myself to flip up the covers. I laid on top with a towel over the pillow and kept my clothes on. However, I did not see any bugs.

The regular guests - or tenants maybe - seem to be a cross section of all the worst stereotypes of people you would want to stay away from. There was very little quiet to be found no matter the hour - whether it was loud and angry conversations outside, yelling, drunken revelry or perhaps mentally ill people talking loudly to themselves. When they occasionally quieted, the rather numerous canine residents made their presence heard. If that wasn't bad enough there was an ever-present whistling sound from something I couldn't seem to stop. Oh and the pictures you see on the website? Outright fabrications. Read the other reviews. In my one night there I saw 2 police encounters. I wasn't at all confident my vehicle would be there in the morning.

This was the most unsafe and disgusting hotel I have been too. The door barely closed and had one lock. The extra lock was broken. The bathtub was covered in mold. Bedspreads had burn marks on them. The towel holder has been ripped off the wall. The toilet paper holder didn’t even have a roller holder. Hotels.com should be embarrassed to have this hotel listed and I can’t believe they have any stars much less what is listed. I will not use Hotels.com again to book rooms if this is the type of hotels they provide.

Don't stay here. Rooms look nothing like they do in the photos! It was very dirty and the beds were so small. It had a puddle of water in the middle of the floor that had been there so long it had soaked into the blanket on the bed. I turned around and left as soon as I walked in.

Do not, I repeat do not stay at this hotel. The description of the rooms listed on the website is absolutely deceptive. The property is run down and not properly maintained. The drapes were filthy and stained. The area did not appear safe and was definitely not family friendly. There was a lot of loitering around the property.

Book The room online for $65 put me in a dirty room no TV didn't want to give my money back post to put the money back

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been to within 10 minutes. We had to leave because we are afraid of being hurt or robbed. There was bedbugs and mould everywhere. Please do not stay here.

As for the property run far far away. Drug deals outside, prostestutes, and down right dirty. I’m still waiting on a refund from Hotels.com. I’m not holding my breath. Do not stay here unless you want to be annoyed for money from drug addicts and take home bed bugs.

We pulled up and before we got out of the car, you could smell drugs being used. The room smelled like marijuana. We get to the room and coild see there curtains are moldy, had holes and were just absolutely filthy. We went in, the lamp shades were falling apart, there was one pillow on the bed, the floor was filthy. The dresser drawers were open and falling apart. The people hanging out in the parking lot were not good characters. Absolutely unsafe and disgusting. Needless to say we went right back to the desk and checked out. I was told no refunds and I'd have to call back. The person ar front desk was nice and knew why I was upset... completely unacceptable to misrepresent a hotel online and then arrive to that! So inconvenient and had to make other arrangements. Not to mention the rates were HIGH!

The worst hotel I’ve ever been to it’s a trap house

We did not even get out of car- curtains were yellow from smoke, homeless living in cars in parking lot, dirty and overall did not appear safe. Avoid at all costs.

I would rate this a zero if I could. The hotel building shown in the pictures is a completely different building than what we pulled up to. There was a guy circling cars in the parking lot looked like he was scoping them out. Big groups of people taking up all the walkways.

The room was disgusting. There were needle caps outside our door. Rat droppings on the floor. The lamp switch had been cut and the curtains were zip tied with stains that kinda look like blood. The tub leaked water and the sheets/bed were stained. They don’t give refunds so I’m out $200 and once we saw the condition of the room, we didn’t even stay.

Terrible place. Couldn’t enter the lobby, checked in through what would be described as a drive through window. Had to leave a $20 deposit to get the tv remote that didn’t have a back and the batteries were held in by tape. The staircase leading up to the room was thin plywood. The room was absolutely disgusting. The door did not fully lock and had to be slammed shut. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and mildew and was completely run down. There were stains everywhere, the lamp shade, pillow, blanket, chair, shower, and walls. The window curtain had stains and big holes in it covered by tape and the wallpaper was peeling off. We stayed in the room all of 20 minutes finding a new hotel to stay in. The place was not safe at all and had a cop car sitting out in the parking lot watching it. We also had a guy come up to us with a beer in his hand asking us if we had a room and telling us they didn’t like people coming in and out.

I didn't have a room reserved, even though it was paid in advance. They're were booked and we had to sleep in the car, because all other hotels were booked slso. Stay away from this place.

I was expecting a little rough, this was horrible. The smoke alarm had been removed, the room smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. There wasn’t a shower curtain, no trash cans, or toilet paper holder. There were holes in the walls, the dressers were damaged, bathroom door was broken, the front door didn’t seal, the microwave didn’t work, etc. It was filthy, the blanket and curtains were stained and torn, the counters were stained and marked up, there was graffiti on the walls and air conditioner. There was a splatter of something on the walls.

This hotel is absolutely gross and severely rundown. Flooring was completely missing in areas, there were horrendously poorly patched holes in the walls, the bathroom sink light didn’t work at all, the toilet was overflown into the floor when I arrived. I had to get a new room, and that toilet was clogged. The curtains had all kinds of cuts and holes in them. The lampshade was stained from some dried liquid on it. There was no rod on the closet rack. It was just very gross. It’s outrageous for this company to accept money from people to stay here and not do basic maintenance and upkeep.

Upon pulling into the property, we were greeted by a woman walking around the front door weilding a hatchet, screaming about the lady up front owing her money she wanted back. She was kind enough to grant us entry to the establishment. Upon reaching the check-in counter we met the recipient of the would be hatchet wooping, and she proceded to just hand us a room key without so much as asking our names or for ID. Driving around to the opposite side of the hotel where our room was located we were greeted by what i assume are very nice people, who live at the hotel, and of course their loveley business partners. We attempted to go to our room, but when we arrived at the door, it was already open, and it appears someone had already been in there moments before us. The bed was made, but did not have any pillows, the tv was missing the power cord, the lamps were missing, there was some loveley grafitti on the mirrors, and the smell of mold and smoke filled the air. The AC unit was bareley hanging on and there was a black substance all in the bottom of the tub, sink and around the walls. We promptly returned to the car and contacted our travel advisor.

Not only was the place far from what it said it was but it filthy and to top i off we checked in and then went out for a few hours and came back to someone else in our bedroom, they gave our room to this person and didnt check to see if it was in use, and then proceed to tell us they couldnt give another romm cause they were full

In all my years of traveling and hotel stays I have never in my life seen a hotel this bad I don't even understand how they are even allowed to be rented especially through and booking apps I wouldn't even say it's a hotel more like community housing and a trap house these are photos of the room the room they put us in the bed was broken the ceiling falling in there was mold all over the wall and curtains the lamp was broke and no shade on it the ac was taped to the ground and had to be wiggled to make the air turn on the bathrooms are unimaginable I was so flabbergasted from the room I forgot to take photos of the bathroom we had already paid in advance for a week I reached out to hotels to let them know and they tried several times to reach the regarding a refund but was unable to get anyone on the phone imagine that!! I showed the lady at the front desk a picture of the room I booked and she told me those were old photos I also put a picture of that so you can see what they show online needless to say we had to book another hotel for the week

Only light that worked was in the bathroom. Nothing was wiped down or cleaned in the room. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

If you are looking for a cheap nasty room with mold and no door knobs then this is the place for you. Ppl walk around all times of day and night loud, drug infested. I couldn’t even shower or let alone use the bathroom there was mold on the curtain and clearly in the tub. This should be embarrassing to the owner.

Yes area was great . The real problem was the loud music along with how easy it is to here the conversations in the rooms on either side of my room. One other problem is the toilet is about to fall out of its proper location it is extremely lose. However I would say it's worth staying here I do think you should be paying less. Age and upkeep being the reason.40 dollars for the max for full price. 5 out of 10

The room, upon entry, was not clean. There were dead flies on the floor and other quite visible dirt. When housekeeping came to clean the room, they brought one broom and partially swept the room, accumulating a pile of dirt which was removed with a dustpan once one was located. No vacuum was used. The smell of smoke in this non-smoking room made both my wife and our grandson noxious from the odor which permeated the room's furnishings. It appeared that the complex was used as low income housing making my wife feel that she was not safe in the area. We left the room and went searching for another room which we found at a nearby Holiday Inn. We returned to the Horizon Inn and checked out. At all times the Horizon Inn staff was kind and apologetic. I understand that the cost of the room was non-refundable, but I believe, in this case, this policy needs to be waived. The room was not up to the standards I have come to expect from Hotels.com, and simply was not habitable to our standards. We did not expect 5 star accommodations, but neither did we expect to be walking in visible dirt in our bare feet or smell smoke for our three day weekend visit with our grandson, a student at Anderson University.

Ladies at front desk were very pleasant and helpful.The first time I checked in I called the front desk due to not being able to locate my room. She was so nice and sent someone right away to help. Definitely will stay again.

The place had bed bugs had to leave and get another motel which was way more pricey because I booked this one ahead of time.

I didn’t stay I called Expedia to inform them that this location is the Red Roof it has roaches, spiders and drug activity was happening right in the facility. I wouldn’t let my dogs stay at this location.

The room was in terrible condition. The property was also in bad shape with several shady characters hang around and one guy circling the parking lot in his car and what appeared to be abandoned or dilapidated cars. This made me feel unsafe on entering property The shades did not cover the window and the inside lock had been removed. The room not particularly clean in addition to being in terrible condition. Overall, the room was unacceptable and I checked out immediately after seeing the room.

The only good thing was the Assistant Manager, Bree, who was very understanding when we checked out and needed to get a refund.

I sent multiple messages respinding to their message about lookjng forward to seeing us and no response. I have trip insurance but feel that they should refund us due to their inability to conduct business in a professional manner. How can i cancel in time if they make themselves unavailable.

This is probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Booked a non smoking room and it obviously wasnt. The room was in bad shape to begin with and the AC unit started leaking a couple days into my stay. A shelf had fallen off the wall and not put back up, shower curtain falling off the wall, tub was peeling and took a while to drain. The mattress was in bad shape and paint peeling off the ceiling.

Place is in rough shape. Some remodeling has been done but the bathroom was not good. Glad I was traveling solo.

Smelled like a smoking room, no iron, and no chairs (!), so I had to change the room. The 2nd room still smelled like a smoking room, a little better than the first one. The safe was cut open, and the toilet vent grille was gone. You get what you pay for, but this is a place that I won't ever come back to.

It was a crime scene. There were men out at 3am acting like fake dog walkers, women walking around, and one guy looking like he was dealing drugs. They took $20 cash from you for deposit if anything is broken in the morning. Everything in the room was broken. This place is filthy. People outside of our room on the sidewalk smoking marijuana. Also standing in the stairwell smoking marijuana as we’re trying to get past them people fighting. this place is horrible. Curtains and windows are so nasty. The curtains was literally sticking to the windows. We took a loss on our nonrefundable to not stay and left.

We left 5 mins after arriving. As soon as we saw the room we knew we wouldn't feel safe staying there. The room was dirty, there were people wandering/ smoking outside the front of our room.

The custumer service is horrible...we were charged 2 nights rather than one simply because the front desk ppl didnt tell us the check in time...also the receptionist was very unprofessional using foul language and threaghtening me...so i will never be attending here again....you all lost a customer and i hope many more.

This place was so nasty. Dead bugs in the room mattress looked like it was drug down the road and someone had locked a dog in the bathroom walls and doors chewed up. The room had 1 king bed with 1 pillow. No one could help get more and no house keeping. Had to go get more towels. Lot's of very ruff people with dogs most of these live in these rooms. This hotel was the absolute crap hole. Dirty, falling apart, moldy, no a/c, homeless people by the dozens hanging out in the parking lot, big gatherings in the parking lot, loud, just over all unsafe physically and unsafe unhealthy environment.

Roaches crawling across the floor and beds, no tv remote in the room. Exposed wall outlets, cracked ceiling, bathroom disgusting, did I mention the roaches. Will never stay here again.

Was not expecting this to be an “extended stay” hotel. We arrived and had immediately had to pay a cash deposit (returned upon checkout) - not advertised on website. Had to sign a no refunds policy etc. As we were trying to locate our room, there were many people gathered outside the hotel that looked at us a little too long for comfort. There were trash bags piled outside rooms, random junk stacked near walkways, etc. Which is okay but kinda felt uncomfortable and not pleasant . Then a man started running through the parking lot with a flare gun - running up to residents and yelling random things to them. We immediately went back to the office, asked for our cash deposit back and left. Could not get a refund for the room but I didn’t care. Did not feel safe.

The bed was noticeably sagging from the top to the middle. The curtains had holes in them like they had been cut. I pulled the fitted sheet back and the mattress was cut, smelled and looked like urine, and each little circle had so much dirt buildup. We went right back out the door. We had reserved for 2 nights and lost the money because they won't refund. We used Hotels.com to book and their solution was a 25 whatever credit and we have to book 2 nights to use that. Don't waste your money with this hotel or this website!

This was absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed in my life there was no towels no remote no coffee maker not even a trash can in the room not to mention all of the people who sit outside all night long with the prostitution and drug activity we were scared to even get our car to get our bags then since I was cleaning my car out and wasn't at the office at exactly 11:00 a.m. they kept my deposit which really pissed me off I would have been safer staying in the woods than at this dump

We did not end up staying here because the room smelled like smoke/vape and the vibe was off. Seemed like a clean room, kind front desk help. Just not the place for us. It’s attached a Vape Shop and Waffle House which are not businesses I am interested in.

I asked twice to have the bulb over the sink replaced. It's fluorescent and very very dim. Maintenance agreed but never returned. There are no non-smoking rooms because after angrily telling me that sheets aren't changed on the weekends (I was changing them myself because the one housekeeper doesn't do that on the weekends), I noticed a smoking ashtray. If the linens are smoked on, there are no non-smoking rooms. The laundress apologized for being angry but I had to wait 2 hours for clean towels. The room was "clean". It has the overpowering smell of lemon pinesol. The floor is slippery, likely soaked in soap. No ice machine, no coffee, no tissues, no blanket, stained mattress, broken bed, mattress is missing stuffing on one side and the frame is broken also.

I had booked a room in advance the pics like always didn’t match in person, but I was traveling from Florida 13 hours away and when I stopped the room we got was wrong no biggie I went and got another when I walked up to the second room the door was open, the bed had already been used, trash was all over the room……. The towels had even been used. It was an awful experience. The place smelled of dope and crackheads everywhere.

Within the 1st 5 minutes of being there I had a homeless man ask me where the liquor store was, the police rushed to the scene because there was a drug addict abusing her child, there were bums lotitering outside, i could go on and on. This place is appalling. I did not feel safe staying there and the ad on expedia does not compare to this place in real life. I checked out soon after i checked in and found another hotel. If you want to risk you or your families lives staying here, more power to you. It looks like the projects, not a hotel.

Later, I found out that was charged for the stay at the Horizons Inn and Suites. I have since contacted Hotels.com to have the charge reversed.

The clientel of this place is rough. I had not been in my room 5 minutes when I heard people outside yelling the F word at each other more than ten times. Through the night I heard angry shouting matches and one fight. The room was in bad shape. Patches on the wall that had never been painted, a broken light switch, cigarette burns on the furniture, rusty vents in the bathroom, etc. I must say that the linens were clean and the bed and pillows were not bad. The staff was not unfriendly to me but were clearly not professional class. You just did not feel safe here. I parked my car right outside my room and kept checking on it all night. The room was reasonably priced, but for an extra 10 or 15 dollars per night, I will just go elsewhere. Definitely not recommended for women travelling along or for those with children.

I was catfished by this property. I arrived on property after booking from the beautiful photos on a 8 hour flight. I was (what I thought to be) lucky to check in early to the one room available. That’s when it all went downhill. From the outside it seemed a little rough but nothing worse than a motel 6. Inside was a complete swap of expectations. I was able to take a 3 minute video covering everything wrong with my room. I know there’s some wear and tear of the rooms which is natural. But this room has not been touched by house keeping in what felt like at least a solid month. Curtains were disgusting and had holes, the security bolt was completely removed so I had no real security, filth and grime/spots littered the floor and desk, the microwave/fridge had not been cleaned in months from the look of it. This sounds incredibly made up, but there was a literal piece of spaghetti resembling an upside down question mark above the bathroom vanity. The bathroom had its shower curtain hung up and slightly resembled a scene from SAW. After 5 hours no other clean room was able to be made for our reservation. The photos are NOT CLOSE to how the property really is. Staff were kind but could not offer any real assistance. The first staff member I encountered would rather gossip with locals. She did however see my video and say it was not the standard of the hotel (thank god) but that’s all she could do. Property manager wont answer Expedia, don’t burn your money on this place.

I needed a place with a mattress and a working hot shower. The property scored high on both! If you're looking for something else, you won't find it here. Run-down hotel and room, neighbors quiet between 2:00am and 5:00am, all kinds of hair found in bathroom, dirty towels in drawers, stained blanket, TV remote given at reception if you don't forget to ask for one, no hangers, no iron, broken lock. Friendly staff. Still overpriced.

I’ve seen crazy houses cleaner than this property and the rooms here. There were blood stains on the drapes and broken cabinets and lamps. The bed frame was broken. Terrible.

Don’t do it, the restroom cealing had a hazard fungus and it’s extremely dirty

The worst property i've ever booked on here. I felt unsafe being there and i refused the nasty room they teied to rent me. No lamp shades, one blown buld between the 2 lamps, and the sour mildew smell was so strong it was hard to breathe in the room when i first went in.
