Trashy smelly hotel

Unfriendly, unaccomadating front staff, dirty rooms, dead cockroaches, rotted unusable bbq pits, filthy front door that's hard to open, no mirror in the bathroom.

Good room for a good price. No frills. Small ketchup packet shampoo/conditioner lotion and bar of soap. But all sufficient.

Clean Room,

The room was clean when we arrived. Check-in was quick amd easy. Nice swimming pool. The rooms were very cool.

I would not recommend this hotel.

On one of our stays we ended our trip early due to my own personal medical issue. We left before checkout time and they wouldn't refund the night we weren't staying... We usually stay with them when we stay in Aransas Pass. I just wished they would have showed some understanding for the situation and refunded the night we couldn't stay.

Convenient

The shower was broken, the staff is nice except for one person.

Good for the price. Pretty clean but very small towels. The worst thing was the the air conditioning unit. It would sometimes start blowing very weird smelling air, and sometimes the room would feel kind of muggy.

Sheets had stains on them. Has to go ask for clean ones. Did not supply enough toilet paper. Only had one roll in the bathroom.

The property was close that we could travel from port a and back and then Rockport and back. I didn’t like the roaches in my room. The lack of towels, maid services came for new towels but never took out the trash or even leave behind more trash bags. Parking was not the best, could not park in front of my own room.

Room was not cleaned , no toilet paper, refrigerator dirty, bathroom had hair. Not a pleasant stay.

From the time I arrived till I left the experience was excellent. The room was clean and the beds were as great as Hampton Inn or La Quenta. The cost was much lower. The staff was kind and helpful! Willing to stay again if I'm back in that area The door was difficult for me to open

I didn't like that I got charged twice because there computer wasn't updated supposedly

We ended up having to leave because of medical reasons on our 2nd day before checkout and they wouldn't refund the 2nd night. I ended up in the hospital. We feel like, because we are frequent guests that they should have been more understanding and refunded the 2nd night charges.

The location was great….main road to Port Aransas was right in front & several restaurants were close enough to walk. First, the fact that there was no information about cost of animals on website….only right at front desk. Had I known it would cost more than the actual cost of the room, I would have looked at other places. Second, there areas of grass around the hotel were filled with stickers….my dogs had to have multiple stickers pulled out each time they went out to pee. My oldest dog started limping because of all the multiple times getting the stickers in her paws. The last day we decided to drive 3 miles down the road to a dog park just so the dogs could walk around without any painful stickers.

I booked my reservation over a week in advance, when we arrived for check on we were notified they had cancelled our booking and were completely sold out. this was on a weekend that everyone was sold out. it was very disappointing and we had to travel farther away to find a hotel.

The room was okay. Older hotel, they gave it a facelift, which was nice. It is next to the railroad tracks and main highway, so be ready for lots of noise. My biggest gripe is housecleaning took our towels and didn't replace them, I had to go to the office twice to remind them.

Pictures are deceiving. Dont believe what you see. Roach poop all over the place even on our beds. Killed a live roach also. Tub was rusty ,clogged tub and they asked if we wanted a plunger to unclogged it. I will never recommend this place to anyone. VERY Disappointed. Don’t stay there if I was you.

Staff was rude. She seemed bothered that we arrived to check in. The room was dirty, had hair in the bathroom, did not have toilet paper and was in need of repairs.

I stay here at least biweekly for 2-5 days a stay for fishing. They are super clean, great showers and super friendly staff. Great pricing for location. Will stay here a lot more in future

Great price, rooms were acceptable, andstaff was nice.

The motel is close to restaurants and convenience stores. The pool was wonderful! Beds were okay comfort wise but I could feel the springs. Make sure you take bed bug spray as I was bitten several times. Also there is a small dog walking area by the road that is infested with fleas. Several cats roaming around and one recently had kittens. Internet sucks! We couldn’t stay connected.

I’ve stayed there several times and I’ve enjoyed every visit.

My husband and I made a spur of the moment trip to Port Aransas and didn’t want to spend very much. With it being on season in port aransas, staying on the island was out of the question. We were didn’t have high hopes about staying in Aransas Pass since years prior we had a bad experience. After finding this hotel and it being less than $100 we weren’t expecting much but it was a good price and if we didn’t like it we could have went somewhere else. And we were just sleeping in it. We were extremely surprised. The room was clean and very roomy. Looked like it was just remolded. Customer service was great as well. We will definitely be staying again in August we we do a little family trip

loud random beep. flaky room service. not enough toilet paper. only one trash can, when having to throw it away we had to walk to the big trash can. the door was also ify sometimes wouldn’t close and the handle was hard to push down. on the other hand, there was plenty of good things such as the tv, bed, shower, microwave and fridge. mirrors were clean.

I like the amount of time it is from the ferry

It's was a very clean & comfortable room. They might consider better seals at the bottom of the doors since we did find little cockroaches in the room, but we did notice the door had a very noticeable gap at the bottom. I would definitely stay here again. People are nice and good location.

The apartment was great, 2 separate rooms, it was perfect! The only issue we had was the faucet in the tub. We had a tough time getting the water to turn on. But we managed to get it going. Other than than that, it was a very pleasant stay! Would definitely stay here again!

I will definitely be back for a stay, the only downfall was the inconsideration from other customers..

Nice and quite

Really enjoyed my stay. The cleanliness of the room was unmatched conpared to other hotels I've stayed at. The location is great, as it is right off the road to Port Aransas. Affordable and a great experience.

Not the cleanest, lots of smoking going on right outside of my door and pretty rough bunch of full timers living there and being loud all night. I had a room booked for two nights but checked out after the first.

Property was a little cramped. Bath was remodeled and OK. Property was old and not set up well. Lamp next to the bed had no place to plug it in.

The office assistant was rude and u friendly. Found roaches in the bath room. You could hear poeple outside partying being loud.

This is a horrible hotel. They never would bring us clean towels. They kicked us out the day before our time was up. They said I signed some papers that we would leave a day earlier than what we paid for and then didnt give the money back

Most OYO motels have bad reviews. This one was good. Actually gave us a free upgrade to a suite since all regular 3 beds were out. HEB and restaurants near by. Ill stay again.

When we checked in I noticed one of the ACs in the apartment wasn’t working. I told the front desk and she said she’d come look at it. They came in less than 15 minutes and replaced the WHOLE UNIT in less than 30 minutes. It was nice and cool after! Def would stay here again and so happy with the property staff

Check-in went smoothly, and the front desk staff member was kind and professional, which made a great first impression. I was also able to bring my dog for a small fee, which was a huge plus. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities we needed. The bed was firm and spacious—perfect for me and my aunt to share during our last-minute getaway. Would definitely stay here again!

Good hotel for good pricing and last minute booking!

It was a very clean and comfortable room. The beds were made each day. There was a mini fridge and microwave. They had coffee in the room but not in the lobby. I'll definitely be back.

The staff was excellent and very friendly. The rooms were beyond my expectation for the price. My wife and I were very impressed with the room. This hotel is better than most others that I've stayed at. We will definitely being staying here when we visit Port Aransas again.

No room number on card so after long drive/day/evening not sure on door to open. Had to wake up desk to verify but job done very swiftly. Clean upon arrival. Bed made and room gussied up for next night.

The rooms had a weird smell. It didn’t feel clean. The walls are thin you head all the noise coming from the room next to you and from outside. There wasn’t hardly any water pressure in the shower. Towels smelled funny and super small.

Non friendly service.

I have chosen to stay at this hotel several times and never had a problem. This time the proprietor, falsly accused me and my guest of smoking in the room the prior visit. This is absolutely not true and he would not back down from his statement. Obviously his personnel gave him the wrong information and he has chosen to lose a customer over this.

The building has some visible wear and tear but we had no issues with our stay.

Great location

Staff was rather unimpressive. By comparison, ive never felt as unappreciated as a customer. Being notified of a 60$ security deposit was jarring, but not as much as having to drive to an ATM for it as cash. Other than that, hotel was nice, comfortable.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We left a cup behind, returned 2 hours later, and they had it in a lost and found area for us to retrieve. This is a great place to stay.

The place was very easy to find and very convenient to where we wanted to be on our trip. The room was clean and certainly spacious enough for us two humans and our 2 dogs. The staff were friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay there again when I head back to that area. Obviously my only complaint was about the extra day of pet deposit.

No hot water and no batteries in tv. Owner said he didn’t care about what us people think.

From day one there was an issue with the room door.Sensor indicator when using card did not lit and activate entry.Management notified and another card was issued with same results.Staff brushed it off and demonstrated door opening technique by pushing door forcefully while holding card close to sensor with still no light lit.This happened repeatedly during my stay!

Located in a very convenient area for my visit being basically halfway between Rockport and Port Aransas mileage wise. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m down in the area.

My stay was pleasant.

I liked the apartment style room. It was clean. It was pet friendly. Could have used more trash bags, and towels. Staff was friendly and helpful in asking individuals with some slightly loud music to tone it down. I liked the outside concrete tables available on the property. Close to HEB, gas station and Pub.

We arrived right before 10 pm. The front door is locked so I rang the doorbell. We had to use outside window. The clerk seemed grumpy and asked for id. He gave us our room key. Gave us a room with 2 queens when I had booked one with 1 king bed. My husband won’t let me ask for a different room so I guess we’re sleeping separately. Sketchy neighborhood.

Asked for service dog certificate for my wife that is in a wheelchair and we have handicap plate.(Against the law) . The pool has a handicap life to get handicap swimmers in and out of the pool but there is no handicap ramp to get inside the gate on 5 steps. Parking was difficult at best. most rooms had a parking spot right outside their door, they put us in a room with no parking in front.

There was not much to like about this room; the beds were ok but base was metal which banged whenever you hit it. The bathroom was unbelievable!! The shower head was filthy; the fan was disgusting. I did not notice until I started to shower - got out quickly. About 15 minutes later water was turned off without notification. No hand towels - told they had none. No coffee machine. The place looks like it was built in the 50s and has never had any renos done to it. Lots of cracks along baseboards, bathroom mirror, etc. The room was about 40 feet from highway. Worst room ever!!!!

Staff was minimally helpful. We had to ask for extra towels and we were grudgingly given one. There was no flat surface in the shower to set accessories so had to set on lid of toilet. Room was fine and clean. Parking lot was very busy and noisy with loud conversations in the evening but they did not go on excessively late. We booked through hotels.com and had to change our checkout day but were not afforded any refund so we ate the expense of the last night.

Nice room . Bed was Comfortable we enjoyed our stay.

You can tell there has been some recent updates and the area was very quiet. The front desk employees were friendly and we really enjoyed staying here.

We we're down for the weekend with family and friends on the beach. Had a wonderful time.

It was convenient to Port Aransas beach. You have to take a ferry but, it is close. The ferry is free. Very cost effective accommodations. No frills (soap, shampoo) but clean. Two rooms in one suite. Queen and king beds.
