It was very clean. It was also quite. Easy to get to grocery store and reasturants. Staff is very friendly. I never get up early enough for breakfast lol. That my place to stay when ever on town which is often.

Literally, absolutely nobody went into the pool at all and it was spring break like that’s a fantastic time to swim so there must of been something wrong. With the house keeping they don’t mop behind the toilet and they will hardly clean your room they do the bare minimum with the stay overs. My experience here was terrible and when I brought up a complain to the owner/manager he completely ignored and refused to do anything about the problems. Not to mention they have no smoke detectors in any of the rooms at all and that’s a very dangerous situation. I would not stay here if I we’re taking a small vacation especially as a family

Couldn't watch tv while we were there. Direct tv was out. Was supposed to get it fixed. Hopefully when we go back, it will be fixed.

I took my family for a little one night weekend getaway, and we stayed in 2 adjacent rooms. When I woke up the following morning, I was informed that the AC in the other room stopped working in the middle of the night. When I went to checkout in the morning, I mentioned my dilemma to the front desk staff. The individual attempted to reach out to management for resolution to my problem, but she was unsuccessful. I gave them the opportunity to contact me with a resolution before leaving this review, and they have failed to make right the situation. I will not be staying here again, which is a shame, because the hotel has potential.

Got to give it to them. The room was clean even though they are renovating. The staff that work the front desk have always been very friendly except for one young lady that doesn't even seem to smile.

Room and hotel were clean, staff was nice and helpful. I liked having an outside and inside entrance to my room. I missed the complimentary breakfast by 10 mins, wish it was out a little longer but I should have been mindful to check their serving times.

A simple room for a simple stay. This worked perfectly. For me, I'm looking for a shower and a bed (and that other thing we all need). Staff was very kind. I liked the two door (two exit) rooms. I could park right outside my door and also have access to the halls.

Fantastic Location, clean, nice staff and continental breakfast.

Parking is all in front so if you get a room on the back, you have to go through the lobby like a hotel. We wanted a room where we could park in front of the room, so we asked to change rooms. Our room had 2 lamps that didnt work (pointless to ask for light bulbs as the sockets were corroded). Beds were not great and no coffee maker in room. Freezer on fridge was almost completely frosted up. The TV did work and they have a good selection of channels. The towels were stained but clean i guess (not sure). The pool is tiny and we didnt use it. The AC worked fine. We wouldnt stay there again, but you get what you pay for, so we didnt complain. Breakfast is minimal- nothing hot but the coffee and only 1 coffee. They do have a laundry room and the front desk staff was very friendly.

Disgusting!!!! They need a new cleaning crew. There was dirt all over the table lamp. Where you plug things in and turn on the light. The mini fridge was gross and not very cold. The bathtub had mold around it. The mirror in the room was dirty. There were bugs. We had a roach in our room. I wish I would’ve taken more pictures. I talked to the lady at the front desk after we unloaded our car and she came and took 2 pictures and said she would talk to the manager, but never got back to me and didn’t tried to send someone to clean it. Very disappointed!

For the most part I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very nice. The amount was good for the area. Availability was nice as well. Rooms were good. Only issue I had was someone across the hall yelling late at night and early morning and slamming doors. Even yelling and running around at 2am. The service was fine but the room needs to be completely cleaned there was mold where there wasn’t supposed to be. It was pretty gross. We had stayed once before and it was same but we wanted to give the hotel a second chance. They will not be getting a third. I love the location and usually pretty affordable but still not worth the stay. Hopefully the will better soon so we can give another shot.

Location was very convenient for me as I was not looking for a touristy place, but still close enough to enjoy those activities. There are some fast food locations nearby, but not a lot of casual, sit-down options.

Affordable stay very close to port aransas.

Check in was quick and staff was friendly and attentive. The room was fine for the one night we were staying. The beds were clean and the room was tidy. The mini fridge was sweating a bit, and noticed it wasn’t very clean around that particular area. But it was fine we didn’t need it. Some rust in areas of the bathroom but it was overall a decent stay!

I would NOT recommend this place at all. PLEASE READ!!! We did not end up staying here and had to find somewhere else to sleep. I should have known when there was someone else complaining when we first got there. After a long day at the beach we checked in so we could shower up. We were on the 2nd floor and they do not have an elevator (for those who need one) and we walked in the room and the smell of mold and wet clothes overwhelmed us! My son covered his nose with his shirt immediately and wanted to leave right away. We had to rinse off and use the restroom and couldn’t walk out yet. The shower curtain had mold on the bottom and we saw strands of hair in the shower and that’s when we decided it was NOT worth it to even shower up! Later after finding a new place to stay my child said he left his toy in the room and so my husband went to grab it. When he returned he told us that there were prostitutes hanging out in the parking lot there!!! Never will I go there ever or recommend this place to anyone.

It was a pretty average stay. Outdated furniture, bedsheets, TV and carpet. Lights are not the brightest either. BUT it wasn’t wasn’t a terrible stay.. good for one night and close to the ferry.

This hotel was close to all activities. The sink dripped and the tv was not working. Overall, it was okay for the time we spent in the room. We did not report it to anyone.

Really old hotel. Cigarette burns on comforter. No elevator. Beds were terrible. For the price it wasn't bad but very basic and old. Old kitchen range sitting in stairwell. Staff was nice and fireworks were shot off right by the hotel for Freedom Day! Honestly, the best fireworks I've ever seen. Pool was clean.

The property is a renovated Super 8. Close to ferry for convenience.

This was my third stay at this property. First two were great, but this time it was not. The room smelled of mildew and old cigarette smoke (non smoking room), there was a hole in the bed cover, the toilet seat was broken and the roll of toilet paper was half used. Very disappointed.

Breakfast was not advertised on Expedia so what a great surprise that they offered it. Staff rearranged to get us a down stairs room due to our age. The entire staff was super friendly! Gave us tips and advice on nearby places to visit. Cleaning staff was the best! We got to thank Lupe personally for being such a great cleaner in our room. We would recommend them to anyone especially those looking for a bargain. We will be back!!

What I liked about the place it’s real convenient to me to sleep and shower while I go fishing with friends and if I get hungry I have Stripes Larafo tacos across the street and an ice machine for my needs. I’m satisfied with everything else no complaints

This is our 3rd time here, we enjoyed our stay every time. The room was clean (room 127), the only thing I want to mention the tub doesn’t drain which made the bottom of the shower curtain dirty and the handle of the toilet was broken. But we appreciate the staff and our request of being on the first floor. Looking forward to our next visit.

The new hotel owners have let this place go down so bad. Upon arrival we were given a room that looked like it had been rented by the hour. Beds torn up, trash everywhere and it still smelled of wet towels as they were strown around the room. The new room had horrible beds. DO YOUR RESEARCH....THERE ARE PLENTY OF PLACES ON PORT ARANSAS WITH JUST AS GOOD OF A PRICE I will never stay here again.

Room was dirty, freezer had spilled frozen stuff in it. Doors extremely hard to open and or shut. Lock didn’t even lock unless it was the latch on the top.

Clean, conveniently located hotel. It is a value hotel, so a no frills kind of place. But the staff was friendly, the place was clean, and you could tell that they cared about giving you a decent stay for your dollar. Not a place you necessarily want to honeymoon at, but not scary either

A few things we look for in an overnight room at a hotel is cleanliness, friendly staff and the appearance of the room in order to relax and enjoy my stay. Well I can say we found ALL of it in this hotel. Our check in was smooth and as we opened the door to our room right away we could tell the pride of the staff in keeping the room clean and looking comfy. So, yes we will return.

Do NOT rely on Expedia’s rating for this property. Read the Yelp reviews. This is one of the loudest/noisiest “budget” places that I’ve ever stayed. Yay for us, the “sombrero” party was next door and across the hall from our room. They quieted down about 2:30/3:00am. Laundry laid out on the front sidewalk to dry. I’m assuming these people live there.

First off let me say that the room was dirty! He also stunk so bad! The rooms are gross. Then the bathroom light would randomly shut off on us. Also only one light worked in the bedroom. That’s just ridiculous. Then only one outlet worked in the room. The tv is quality was horrible. Barely watchable and some channels had no sound at all. This was just ridiculous! I will never stay here again nor recommend to anyone.

The room was comfortable. They served potato and egg breakfast tacos, which were delicious! The blanket was thin, we froze! The neighbor banged on their door at 3am both nights and continued their party like it was 3pm. The shower head was rusted / calcified, and had no water pressure. The staff was super friendly, and it was a place to stay last minute.

Not a very clean or comfortable hotel room. No place to hang clothes. Very dark hallways walking to the rooms. If I would have been alone I wouldn't have felt very safe here. Very old hotel that needs an update. Old curtains used as bed covers too. If it wasn't a holiday weekend and we weren't looking for two beds then we would have stayed somewhere else but there was nothing else available for us.

I’m staying in the room 119 it’s terrible smell, and having moldy in all the windows and restrooms, and the breakfast it’s nothing yes coffee and sweet stuff, plus the owner sitting in the table and checking you , what do you are talking,

Over all, this is definitely not for someone that’s looking to having a relaxing stay. This is more for quick stay, up early in the morning go fishing kind of people.

Checked in and checked out due to security issues. Door did not close shut and no security bar nor did the door locked immediately checked out and request to be refunded. The rooms was not cleaned and the property was not secure at all no cameras on the property.

We initially got a room that had a loud blower wheel in the AC, which the guy did ask if it was okay and I had said yes until I try to sleep and it was too loud which I don't blame the guy. I had no issues changing to another room in the morning and the customer service was great. Price as well.

1 the ac was not properly set so we had to wait for room to cool down I set the temp to 68 expecting to be cold when we came back after dinner it was fairly cold .The room smelled like mildew.The shower head splat water all over the floor no matter what setting we used. The room door felt like it was going to fall on the hinges and a struggle to open and close .The room didn't have any phone ,no fire alarm. Was short handed on staff. I would not recommend this location. I would like to have a 1/2 refunded for my stay. Thank you

For being under the Wyndham name I expected more. No breakfast service even if it had been bought from a bakery. Anything is better than just breakfast bars. No water bottles and facilities were not up to my expectations.

Checked in around 2am-3am. Paid and got my room key, there was poop on my toilet seat in the hotel room, sheets were dirty and there was hair all in the tub. I went down to the desk and asked if it could be cleaned and she told me “ I’m not housekeeping, I’m not cleaning”. So I asked for another room. I got another room after getting settled into the first room and the second room had no ac. Went back to front desk and she offered me a refund for the night but I’d have to find another hotel. It was spring break weekend so there was no where to stay all hotels were booked. I made a reservation for this hotel because it was literally the only hotel with a room available. So we just road it out with no ac. Then they’re suppose to have continental breakfast and didn’t even have food or coffee the two mornings we were there. Which didn’t really bother me because the hotel was absolutely filthy so probably wouldn’t eat or drink anything from there.

The room needs an update. The bed covers were stained. Found a roach on bed and we killed it. The restroom door would get stuck and we had to squeeze our way to get out. But the lady receptionist was very nice.

This place looks very run down. The hallway smelled bad and musty. The carpet looks so old and dirty. The room bed covers were stained and I can probably guess it doesnt get a good cleaning after people leave. The staff was very friendly and this place does not offer breakfast as advertised.

I checked for my stay. Get to my rooms and the smell of mold and mildew was so strong we couldn’t not enter the room. I got Anna from the front desk who came upstairs and in her words told me to check and see if it’s stayable. She agreed the odor was very heavy and checked 3 other rooms to find one less terrible. After she left us we immediately reached out to orbit who we booked for bc she told us she cannot help us bc we booked through orbit. After being in the room 1 room (we rented 2 rooms and never entered the 2nd room) we had to take our stuff and call to orbit bc it was physically making me sick being in the room. Nose running, throat itching and almost threw up from the odor. They refused to refund my $600 spent on these rooms because I entered the room. My kids had to spend the night in a car bc we had no where else to go and they would not refund my money for a new place. It was AWFUL.

Bedspread dirty with stains, shower curtain rod broken and hanging....hotel was run down... old worn furniture....supposed to have free breakfast included ...but no breakfast offered as everything was broken the clerk said. No AC in hallways ...very hot..room had bad smell. I will never go back.

There were several feral cats on the property even trying to get inside the room at times. The property and room were very dirty.

First apon entering the room it was 90 degrees and humid due to an 1in gap under door to the exterior. Room was gross and feared catching hepatitis. To top it all off was the leftovers that where left in the micowave from previous occupate. Overall condition of holet was grim doors didnt open and close properly and some windows on second floor where boarded up. Left after 10min and move to different hotel down road.

First room had issues with A/C and TV. I was moved to an inside room with slightly better conditions. Several lights did not work. It is below standards for a Wyndham Hotel.

The room a/c was putting out moisture and clothing felt moist. The toilet moved when sat on. Other than that room was nice.

Very disappointing. Upon arrival for check in was notified there would actually be no breakfast. Also no pets allowed as stated on the initial booking which is why my family chose this hotel for our vacation. Ended up paying an extra charge for our pet. Everything seemed very unprofessional and unclean. The room was very dirty and appeared to not have been cleaned. Evidence of roaches everywhere. One lock missing on one of the outside doors. Just overall not what expected or as shown in pictures from the website or hotels.com. No cancellation refund otherwise we would’ve stayed somewhere else. Felt very deceived and wish the outcome could’ve been different.

This property was a total dump. Doors were crooked, signs weren’t visible or put on with blue tape, back door was left open for anyone to come into hallways, people were loud as hell and partying till early morning. There’s a cat problem there and it seems like their maintenance was in diar need of a real contractor to do repairs. No breakfast and homeless everywhere. Never staying here again even if the room was free

Lady who checked us in was not friendly at all. She acted like we burdened her to check in

Good area

The room was not cleaned. Bathroom was not cleaned. The bathtub didn’t drain. Dirty water in it second morning. The shower was a dribble. There was no chain lock on outside door. Chain lock on interior door is loose. Only one small squeeze packet of shampoo for two days.

We love the location

Hairdryer did not work which was it a big deal but the room had a slightly moldy smell I had to spray my perfume in it several times but the bed was clean the sheets were clean the towels were clean

Room 212 has bedbugs in mattress closest to ac unit. Got bit when I took a nap little after check-in then complained later when I figured out the symptoms of a bedbug bite and Called the office to check on my room. I went back after fishing and asked and was told there found nothing. Went to sleep and at 4am was awoken by 3 more bites totaling 5. Got up and found that I was laying on a bed bug. My fishing buddy got bit on the ankles as well on the other bed. I caught the bug in a cup and took it downstairs to the office. I was quickly put in another room 122 but was told that this room had water damage from upstairs. I’ve stayed here before with no problems but this time was unacceptable. I will not be coming here again.

The room stunk of mold. We sprayed with Lysol and febreeze The bedding was not fresh We slept over the bedding. Army barrack smell. Lots of roaches at night on the dresser and near fridge. Coffee was really bad. Won’t stay there again. If we had not booked through hotels.com and paid in advance we would’ve left

The property was poorly kept and very outdated. The “breakfast” was a nutrigrain bar, overall not even close to what I paid for!!

Shower had mold around edges, sink had wrong lines connected hot was cold and vice versa. For cost of room not up to my expectations. Do not like tile floors. Too much noise from close rooms and the next door units. I expected more for price

The breakfast was nothing but a nutrition bar, nothing else offer.

Very very dirty the ground was. There was broke things from the rooms in the hallway, looked like the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in a longggg time. The bathroom was actually clean though. I didn’t feel like anything was wiped down so I had Lysol wipes I wiped down everything. Bed sheets had hair in it, felt so musky and smelt musky in the room. They should just remove the carpet all together. Fridge was clean. The top sheets had stains. The upstair rooms were probably all that way, the downstairs looked newer, not sure if they are remolding.

Enjoyed the stay

Room was ok, beds were comfortable. I liked being "inside" since I was traveling with kids. It was quite. Overall the room was ok for the price

The door closer didn’t work, cockroaches in the room at night, smoke detector and peep hole were taped and hair dryer was never cleaned. The sink was barely being held on by spray foam and the toilet wasn’t bolted down properly. Coffee was watered down and horrible.

Good price, perfect for a fishing getaway.

It was convenient to where I was working and the price was reasonable, the staff was friendly.

It was good for the price. There was no breakfast available. Very noisy guests at all hours, so don't expect to get alot of rest. It is a convenient place to stay close to whatever you need

The beds were very uncomfortable and made a loud popping noise when sat or lied on. There were several roaches seen in the bathroom and the sleeping area.

Unfortunately we had neighbors above that fought all night long… cancelled our 3nd night to go to another facility

It was an “okay” stay. You get what you pay for.

The staff was extremely accommodating from the check in process to the maid service and check out; the room was next to the office so it wasn’t very private. But perfect location to get around and to and from the beach.

Even though it's old it's still comfortable and clean I'll come back

The room we had was great,cleanand lots of space. Would stay there more often.

Very nice and quiet place. Close to shopping. The staff went above and beyond and very friendly.

It was convenient to the boat ramp to conn brown harbor , I didn’t like that I saw a few little roaches

Only thing would like to see pets allowed
