    Gym and pool were great. Restaurant was good. Staff excellent. Property clean. The beds were a little worn and bathrooms need a little maintenance. Amazing location in proximity to Ballston metro, Target, restaurants, coffee. All walking distance. Overall, great stay and would stay here again.

    No ice bucket. Frig did not work. They did not get our room service order. Staff seemed bothered by me. My sister and I were in stressful situation. Going to drug and alcohol er next morning. Very disappointed

    I booked through Expedia, where no destination fee was disclosed. When I saw a $114.24 “amount due at property” charge, I called the hotel five separate times before arrival to ask what it covered. Five different agents. Not one could explain it. I asked specifically what I’d owe at check-in beyond what I’d paid Expedia, and got no clear answer. At the front desk in person, I was told they didn’t know and to “call accounting.” Their own staff couldn’t explain a mandatory line-item charge on my bill. I was given no amenities list, no orientation, and no way to use anything the $25/night destination fee supposedly covered. On my final night, I called to address the charge. I was hung up on twice and left on hold for over 15 minutes. After freezing my card, my bank notified me the hotel attempted a $500 charge — which appears nowhere on the itemized folio they gave me. The folio shows $140 marked settled. There are also two $75 pre-authorization holds. I have documented every interaction and disputed the charges with my bank. I made every reasonable attempt, through Expedia and the hotel directly, to understand what I was being charged for. I was met with silence, deflection, or staff who couldn’t answer basic questions about their own fees. Future travelers: book elsewhere, or lock your card and document everything. I will never stay here again.

    Very roomy and clean in the rooms; the pool was warm and spacious and the fitness has variety of equipment to use. But the breakfast buffet can be improved with the service and more variety of food

    Six day stay, two people: sheets/towels clean. Very late room cleaning (4pm after we had been out all day sightseeing). Vacuuming OK, no wipe down of bathroom sink/ counter, furniture most days. Random replacement of used countertop amenities... no soap one day but three mouthwashes and no lotion, others not replaced, only one bathrobe, glass drinking glasses not replaced but plenty of plastic ones, coffee pot/coffee: only one tea bag, used coffee not replaced daily & no stirrers or spoons, iron not working (called, the promised replacement was never delivered), mattress was sunken and very soft...should rotate or replace, Most aggravating was the lighting: switch on one not working, loose connection on one bedside lamp with consistent flickering & deep shade, making reading impossible & attached power socket useless for phone charging & no access to wall socket. Old style charging socket on desk. Loose sockets for power cord insertion and connection. All light bulbs seemed to be about 15watt including around the vanity mirror in the bathroom making make-up application and shaving difficult. Light over shower was the only one of any use. Toilets flushed and rose to near top daily. To be fair signs said major plumbing ongoing. Included breakfast buffet not refreshed with the "good stuff"... only pastries left by 7:30am. Not up to par for this chain of hotels

    Hotel is in a good location for the Arlington area. The rooms were adequate but nothing special. The queen beds are not queen, they are more like full doubles. The fitness center is just so so. The staff was friendly, however, those that I dealt with spoke english as a second language, which at times made it difficult to communicate. The biggest issue was there was remodeling going on on several floors, which did disturb one of the rooms in my party. We ate a late lunch in the restaurant while waiting on our rooms. The food was good. All in all, the hotel is good and the surrounding area is safe.

    The carpets need to be upgraded. One wing of the hotel appears to have water damage and there were fans out. There was a distinct odor that I had a hard time figuring out what it was. I was nervous that it might be an odor due to mold, but convinced myself that it was cleaning chemicals.

    The hotel had a water pipe rupture during our stay. I understand that a problem like this can occur so I'm not downgrading my review for the pipe rupture. However the hotel was without air-conditioning and the hot water was turned off. We received no notice from the hotel why and how long we'd be without air-conditioning or hot water. I also think the hotel should have offered some form a compensation for the inconvenience. Poor communication!

    Loved the location and the hotel was beautiful. The parking garage was a little bit of an issue. A tad confusing and we didn’t get help there when we needed it. One of the gates wouldn’t lift for us to get out. And we couldn’t get help. That was the only drawback.

    The staff is practically non-existent. It takes forever to get someone on the phone. I tried to call for room service, no one ever answered. The WiFi password was not provided and when we called to ask for it, again, no one ever answered. Customer service really awful. Hotel rooms are very tired and badly needs an upgrade.

    The staff was good & the location was great, overall the facilities were nice in the hotel. The room however was lacking. In the year of 2026 if I go to a hotel I’d expect WiFi connectivity to be standard, I received no info about such a thing. I also would expect to have a television with capability of connecting to streaming services or at least allow me to connect a device via HDMI or even streamcast from a phone. The bed was nice & comfy, the bathroom was nice. The thermostat took a while to respond but the temperature eventually settled to what I set it at, overall just need to get with the times in terms of upgrading & standardizing technology in rooms.

    Received free parking, thanks to Mohammed. Received free breakfast vouchers after room door would not open. Maintenance arrived quickly to resolve the problem. Loved the daily vouchers for the Market place. Originally being told that parking was an additional $40 per night even for hotel guests. Mohammed was kind enough to give us free vochers for parking.

    I had to stay in a co-worker's room because the staff told me that my room was not paid for and they wanted me to pay them for the room after I told them I had already paid Booking.com. They said that Booking.com never sent them the payment. I did not like the fact that Booking.com did not send the hotel the payment. I checked my account and saw that we had paid Booking.com so I do not understand why Booking.com did not send the payment to the hotel.

    Someone came into our room without any notice saying he got request from front desk that our AC/heat was having issue and we need called anyone. Found it odd to have someone in out room when nothing was wrong. We had to leave so he was in our room alone not sure how long. Our room was never cleaned even though we did not have a do not disturb sign on the room Saturday. Disappointed as we did not expect this from a Westin experience.

    Bathroom shower was dirty, looks like it wasn’t scrubbed in weeks. I informed the front desk guy and there was no solution. All of the ceilings were messed up especially in the pool area. Pool water was clean but pool area was dirty and no towels readily accessible by your chair.

    A great hotel! Impeccably clean with great amenities and very convenient to Metro and shops. The front desk staff was so friendly and very helpful. Nice gym, too! Carpets and color scheme were a little dated, but no big deal. I was grateful for the recycling bins around the property and in the room, but I'd like to see an eco-friendly plan for towel usage. Most hotels aim to conserve water by only replacing towels that guests leave for laundry service vs. changing out towels every day. Other than that, great property, and I'd happily stay here again.

    Nice hotel this is my third time staying always a nice hotel the staff Mag was the greeter very nice. Only thing we did not have body wash in the bathroom. I did let them know I was three the next day. Also was not told about the extra $25 had to pay till the bill came. Not cool

    Hotel is good, mattress etc. Swimming pool is small (not for lengths) and there's a basic spa pool (no sauna etc). The tech around the bed was in various states of disrepair e.g. the USB port box didn't actually charge! Attached restaurant, The Commentary is $25 for breakfast. Unfortunately they forgot about me so it took a long time to get served (I was really jetlagged). Overall, I'd stay again.

    The Westin is my favorite place to stay when in Ballston. Ballston is such a walkable area and The Westin is perfectly located. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, providing a restful night after a long day in the Arlington/DC area. Staff at The Westin were welcoming and helpful with any questions I had.     I was in Arlington for a Disabled Veterans Conference. When I got the key to my room, it was occupied by someone. I opened the door, and there was a naked gentleman in the bed. I apologized perversely and went back to the lobby. The front desk concierge apologized multiple times and offered me points. I have stayed at your hotel many times and enjoyed every stay. This was really dissapointing.

I've never stayed at another hotel with such a cold indoor pool - even my kids complained. There were also very limited pool hours. Instead of paying the high parking fee we found a spot for less than half the price nearby.

    Hotel was nice and clean. Service was quick and friendly. Beds were small. Good was delicious! Beware, in the small print, it says they charge a destination fee every day of your stay. This was unexpected as i did not see it in the reservation process.

    Staff failed to clean room one day, requested housekeeping twice, finally got there about 5:30 pm while we were getting ready to go out. Told housekeeper to come back in 1/2 hour. She didn’t speak English so we left for 1/2 hour and came back. She only made the bed, nothing in the bathroom. Only 1 bathrobe even though they listed 2 people in the room. One usb b charger port, ac plugs on lamps badly positioned for chargers. Generally felt dated, not up to expected Westin standards.

    You will love this property if you are staying in a room in the backside and not on Glebe. The hospital is close by, and ambulances run all day and night.

    The carpet in my room seemed to have been ripped up by the bathroom and the staples were exposed. I cut my toe and tried to reach an operator or the front desk but there was no one present and no answer on the food. Also sent them a message to no answer

    A problem with housekeeping caused disappointment and missed service one day. The issue may be a staff member’s apparent inability with the English language. A daily “Destination Fee” was a surprise upon checkout given a pre-payment to Expedia understood to cover all hotel charges except charges incurred on property.

    I enjoyed my stay but watch out for hidden fees and deposits! I made a reservation but a hold fee of $100 was not mentioned and a “destination fee” was not mentioned. Throughout the morning with others on the floor leaving and entering their rooms and the door closing behind them were very loud so I couldn’t really sleep after 7am. You have to park in the garage but instruction on how to leave were not properly explained. Other than that the stay was nice. Hotel is very clean and smells nice soon as you walk through the door. Also if you have food to warm up you have to go to the main lobby by the reception desk to use the microwave because there isn’t one in the rooms.

    Food was pricey. Hotel was very nice. Parking was frustrating. We arrived it was dark and rainy. The hotel entrance circle & side street were full of cars sitting w flashers. It was very difficult to see the parking sign to enter at hotel. We entered same garage public entrance where posted signs were cheaper for overnight, but hotel charges you their rate. Parking was confusing & not well marked.
