AC Hotel Asheville Downtown

Excellent location in the heart of Asheville. The rooftop restaurant and bar is lovely. Nice breakfast offerings. Rooms are kinda bland but clean and serviceable.

The rooftop bar/restaurant/lounge is spectacular with great views of Asheville and the mountains in every direction.

Great experience! We celebrated our 44th Anniversary in Asheville and the hotel staff was amazing! Offered great advice on things to do and enhanced our trip with sweet tokens to make it even more memorable and special!! Breakfast was delicious and everyone was so happy!! Definitely would recommend staying at this hotel!!

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel, and was very pleased. The room was a nice size, and my wife had enough space for all her makeup in the bathroom. A great bar with indoor and outdoor seating. One of the things I really appreciated was that you could get a nice cup of complimentary coffee. I really get annoyed when I pay the rates hotels are now charging, and then want to charge you another 6 bucks for a cup of coffee. May not be a big deal to many, but it is a return to when nicer hotels offered this, so Kudos to Marriott. I will continue to use this hotel.

Very clean, spacious with amazing views of surrounding mountains plus city skyline. A lovely stay. The bar with rooftop seating was very nice as well!

The location is the standout feature of this hotel. It is walking distance from the French Broad Chocolate shop, which made for a lovely nightcap each evening. Beyond that, the room itself was clean and check-in was straightforward. The elevator is absurdly slow and shared among hotel guests, staff, and people using the parking garage on the lower floors, resulting in long, frustrating waits. There are no reserved parking spots for hotel guests either, so on busy evenings we had to pay for valet parking. Housekeeping also left a lot to be desired; at one point, the room cleaner threw away an unfinished lotion bottle and never replaced it. The hotel bar was another disappointment. For something marketed as a hotel amenity, the hours are surprisingly limited, and it is not even open during the afternoon, which defeats the purpose entirely.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was nicely appointed throughout. Our room had a wonderful view, comfortable beds, clean look. I really liked the rain shower. Fantastic view from the rooftop bar, and the location is perfect for enjoying downtown Asheville on foot. Definitely recommend!

The room, amenities, and staff were amazing. The area surrounding has a lot to offer so this is a great place to stay. My only drawback was the bathroom door that did not lock and was frosted glass.

The staff is super nice and professional but actual amenities were non existent. Awful pillows. Head falls right through. Neither of us were able to get more than a couple hours sleep a night. Asked for replacements that’s just what they use though. WiFi super poor and their tv took 2-3 mins to load any content then would need to buffer constantly throughout.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast (not free) was wonderful....crab cakes benedict. Plus the hotel is right in the middle of downtown with lots of restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay here on our next Asheville trip.

Clean updated room. The staff were excellent and kept in touch via text for anything we needed. Walking a just across the street or a very short way to restaurants, coffee shops and only a short drive to the Biltmore. We thoroughly enjoy our stay.

AC Downtown was enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms clean and ready on time. Location was also good, most things were walkable. Biltmore around 15 minutes away. Top floor had a great restaurant and gathering space perfect for get togethers with friends or your significant other.

Yes nothing special. bar at 9th floor seemed under staffed. Waited so long for a drink we just left.

Our room was clean, quiet, and well-designed with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The bed was extremely comfortable, the water pressure was great, and the views from the higher floors are excellent. The parking garage was convenient and easy to access. The 9th-floor restaurant/bar is a highlight — great atmosphere, beautiful nighttime city views, and solid food and drink options. It’s the perfect place to unwind after walking around town. Also a big plus: the hotel is dog-friendly, and there’s a convenient area nearby to walk your dog without any hassle. Overall, AC Hotel Asheville delivered exactly what a modern downtown hotel should: comfort, style, great service, and a perfect location. We’ll absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Asheville.

Great hotel option for downtown Asheville. Easy walk to dining and bars. The staff at this location were amazing - so helpful, friendly, and happy to be there. I call this out because it was so refreshing! Our room was spotless and almost sterile which is great for a pet friendly hotel. Parking was easy as well. The nice touch award was the eucalyptus shower steamer pod available in the morning! Will come back.

This property has a great location! Loved that we parked safely in the garage but could walk to everything we wanted to do. If we needed to get the car, access was easy in and out. The hotel was clean and modern. I would definitely stay there again.

Was a very nice hotel in a great location , But I like a dark room and could not get the black out curtains to close all the way. Sun woke us up very early. Very frustrating. So put Velcro or some way to close curtains all the way please!

The property is one of my favorites! I really enjoy the fact that it is downtown Asheville and you are in short walking distance to many places. The facility is always clean and the staff are extremely friendly.

Two elevators to manage parking levels, staff service / housekeeping etc and Guest floors including a public restaurant. Whoever thought that would be acceptable is a clown. Build out an elevator in one corner of the parking structure to handle parking floors and the lobby, that will help at least.

The AC is right in the heart of downtown Asheville, within a 3 minute walk to dozens of restaurants, and the 2 main publuc squares. Onsite parking. Hotel is newish, clean and well cared for. The rain shower is a nice touch. TV offers streaming on your own Netflix and Prime accounts. Restaurant at the top is very nice, breakfast was good. Definitely go back.

Friendly front desk. Very clean and modern. In the center of downtown Asheville, so shops and dining were all walkable. Really liked the security features with room keys giving the only access to the guest room areas.

Loved this hotel, from the minute we walked to n the door it smelled wonderful. The gentleman at the desk, I didn’t catch his s name, (he was young and longer brown hair). Super friendly with immediately after check in gave me an upgraded room. The room was one of my he best we’ve stayed in. The housekeeping was so friendly too and also the rooftop bar server was great also. This hotel has a great staff it was my birthday so definitely a Perfect day😊

I did not like that I got a separate charge for parking at the end of my stay. I assumed (I guess incorrectly) that parking was included because I was a hotel guest. I would have rather paid more for the room slightly and had parking included. It feels like you’re getting a hotel perk. Also the toilet paper was gas station quality. For a nice, 4 star hotel I expect higher quality. However, I enjoyed my stay, as a whole, it was nice, clean and a good atmosphere.

Great location and updated property. Great customer service and staff. Only thing that really was annoying was the shower water pressure was horrible. I had to stand right next to the wall in order to take a shower with the wall mounted shampoo and conditioner bottles hugging my back. Details matter especially at this price.

We had a great trip and loved the breakfast! Parking was convenient and safe, rooms and bathroom were comfortable and clean, lots of restaurants nearby, and plenty of shops to walk to.Desk personnel were friendly and accommodating.

Great location. Easy to walk everywhere. Loved the balcony. Hotel is very modern, rooms have wood-like floors and it’s spacious. Love the rain shower. Not a fan of the rectangular like toilet seat. Very uncomfortable and feel like you could fall in.

Everything was very good but we couldn’t sleep because of the nois of a nightclub right next to the hotel.

We had a balcony room with a sliding door and it was as if we were sleeping with the door open. Sirens throughout both nights of a 2 night stay... could hear people yelling in the street. Not what i expected from a comfort standpoint. No pool. Otherwise.... top notch hotel. Rooftop bar and restaurant was nice with good food at a reasonable price.
