Check in was quick and friendly. Location was close to highway and walkable to downtown. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Breakfast was one of the best I've had, not a buffet, serviced with a waiter and menu, delicious omelette. Swimming pool was closed during our stay, slightly disappointed.

Hotel is the most run down in the downtown area. It has seen better days and is concerning to drive up to. That said, the location is walkable to all of downtown, parking is free. The rooms and lobby are dated but clean. Water pressure is amazing. 2 gyms, pass to YMCA across street, coffee and refridge in room. Tv and air in room worked great. Outside needs a good power washing and the entire building needs to be updated and re done. Staff is super friendly. If you want basic, no frills, it fits the bill. Other hotels downtown are more expensive but have better vibe, gorgeous interior/exterior, roof top bars, etc.

Sheraton Four Points was a great place to stay for my week in Asheville. Location can not be beat. Room was large, well appointed and clean. Breakfast was good off the menu and at the buffet. Oddly, listing on booking did not mention use privilege at YMCA across the street nor did the desk clerk who checked me in.

They need to renovate their stuff.

Bathroom size

Refrigerator and AC super noisy, kept me up all night. Departed after only one night; manager hard to track down for in person meeting. Expedia only giving me a partial refund ($100, with the remainder in Expedia dollars). I will be much more discriminating in using Expedia for furure bookings.

The fitness rooms were 24 hours and we had access to the adjacent YMCA (though not enough time to use it). Would stay again when we have more time.

We need to change our rooms 3 times in the 4th floor. Everytime we turned on the AC, a nasty smell came up leaving the room unbreathable. I advised management they a public health issue if not corrected. We finally ended in the third floor without AC. Awful experience! Never to get back!

Great location.... within a close walk to downtown Asheville without the sky-high price. Two large fitness rooms, one including free weights are on premises, plus guests can use the YMCA next door as guests. Restaurant on site for easy, early breakfast. Great place; I'll be staying there again for sure.

Overall, this was a good place to stay for a couple days allowing us to explore the city on foot. Visitors should note that the hotel is near the highway and an entrance ramp, so there is some vehicle noise. Our one complaint about the room itself is that there were almost no available electrical outlets. This was especially true near the desk; we had to unplug something in order to plug in our laptop.

The receptionist was really good but it was under par for a hotel. I have stayed in many Sheritons in the US. We were excited by the 'Chop house' on a friday night after a 3hr trip to be told they could only serve chicken tenders but the bar was open. We went out to eat and came back early around 9.30pm to have a final drink, the bar was shut. The receptionist was amazing and got us a drink but after I checked out which is yet to be resolved, I now have a room service charge for the drinks on my bill and no refund for my incidentals.

Location and staff were the excellent. TV & charging station did not work. Shower was cold. All that said, we would stay again for the price and location.

Hotel on the outside looks a bit dated. FourPoint sign looks like it is 100 years old but the room was great, clean, updated, shower was good. Zero complaints about the room itself. A little TLC on the outside of the hotel would help, The location is great, free parking, walkable to everything in downtown Ashville. They charge $16pp for breakfast which we did not do so I can't rate the breakfast. Only negative was the front desk staff (Jen?) I am sure she is a nice person but she shouldn't be the front facing person for customer service. Not very friendly, very curt, and didn't seem capable of smiling.

Way less expensive than staying 500 feet up the road on the main drag, with free parking. Staff is friendly and excellent, room was clean and comfy. Apparently, they will be going through major renovations in the year to come that I would definitely stay here again as is, any day. Not fancy, but easy and perfect.

The place was very old. Doors had been chewed by an animal for sure. We had to get our own towels, t paper, Kleenex, etc.. th safe didn’t work and they said they would fix it and they did not . We left a day early because of this. There was blood in bathroom wall and dog hair everywhere. The chair was taken from the room . Only one chair to sit in.

The staff at this hotel were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent for the price. However the hotel name deceives. It’s Four point by Sheraton but the facility itself feels like a cheap local motel.

The hotel’s location was convenient and walkable to downtown restaurants and shops. The front staff were all very welcoming and helpful. I really appreciated the complimentary bottled waters you get with your stay (just ask for more at counter). The hotel could use some updating, but the rooms were clean.

The property is extremely old, reminded me of the movie, the shining with Jack Nicholson and it smelled. The air conditioning system did not work in my room. The front desk was accommodating and switched my room.

The only hotel in downtown Asheville with free parking, in my knowledge anyway. Everything in downtown is walkable. Our room was very clean and cozy. The bed was comfy, no complaints. The shower head was not adjustable or movable, which was a bit weird but it didn’t bother us much. Staff were very friendly, especially the cafe staff. Definitely recommend this hotel for its convenience and price.

For the price, the place was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was great. I can be picky, but like a deal... this worked out great. The hotel is dated, and the elevators take a minute, but they do a good job.

This is a good, budget friendly, no frills place for Asheville. We were told on night 3 that housekeeping had to be requested, still took 2 days for fresh towels and trash to be taken out but beds were left unmade and no bathroom cleaning. Hot water was scace one day, but probably an influx of guests. Elevators are slow, but not a deal breaker. Expected a bit more from a Sheraton, but overall safe and decent place to sleep.

We had to check out of another hotel due to noise issues. Walked into this hotel hoping for a room.Kristy was very friendly and sympathetic. She found us a room and allowed us to check in early to make things easier for us. Our room was clean, and thankfully, quiet. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and breakfast was excellent. Kristy saved our vacation and we are very thankful. We will stay here again.

This is certainly a no-frills hotel. It’s in a great location that’s walkable to everything in downtown Asheville but it’s badly in need of a renovation. The free parking is a nice amenity but the towels in the bathroom are very old and feel like sandpaper. The rates here are less expensive than other and much nicer hotels in downtown so I guess you get what you pay for.

The room felt neglected. Bugs including moths at the drawers, safe not working, microwave tray missing and old heater not working so well. The only good things were the location and the bar.

Was just OK. My flight got canceled so I needed a room for one night. Older hotel so not in the best condition but was fine. What annoyed me was that there was no Do Not Disturb card and housekeeping woke us up early when checkout isn’t until 11. Anyway, you get what you pay for.

Windows were covered in paint and filthy. The place needs a real updated and scrubdown for how much it costs per nigh. The lobby and bar/restaurant had random stuff piled everywhere because they said they were renovating. Get a storage pod. It really looked bad. It's in a good location but probably wouldn't stay there again.

The door connecting to the room next door was so hollow that we could hear every sound coming from our neighbors. Other than that, we found our beds to be extremely comfortable. The location was great for a very competitive rate.

We chose this hotel because it was a reasonable price and had a good location to the downtown Asheville area, which we thought wasn’t worth going to. The breakfast buffet was $16.95, but we didn’t think it was worth it. The food was average,, at best. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Parking was easy and the staff was friendly. Good coffee in the morning, in the lobby.

Overall was a great place to stay; super clean, friendly staff, and amazing location to downtown.

Parking lot was unsecured but felt safe. The hotel was much drabbier in person than it seemed online. We learned they were going to be getting a full renovation soon but it felt like we were there mid-reno. The front lobby was kind of a mess. Didn’t try the breakfast. I was in town to visit friends and to see a show. The hotel was within walking distance to the venue. The room was clean and very comfortable and the rate was good. I loved downtown Asheville. There was great entertainment and dining also within walking distance.

I stayed on the second floor. My room smelled like other peoples body odor, musky and felt damp. AC worked but turned off frequently and just made the room feel more humid. The room was tolerable, but I probably won’t be staying there again.

This was a one night pit stop before heading to the OBX. A bit dated but otherwise no complaints.

It's located in a quiet part of downtown, just off the interstate but still very walkable to more active areas - parks, shops, restaurants, Friday night drum circle, etc. The hotel is extremely clean and clearly well-tended, though it's pretty dated - maybe early 90s design? Time for an update, but overall we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the great staff and clean environment.

The pictures from the hotel on Expedia were deceptive. This was not what you would expect from a Sheraton. The hotel was tired, unkept, smelled of mildew, staff untrained, and the shower didn’t drain. The location was great.

Staff was wonderful, couldn't have been better, but the property was beat. It just looked and smelled old and tired. It really needs a facelift. If you're not too picky its OK. My wife really didn't like it so we forfeited two nights and booked somewhere else. But the location was fantastic, just at the North end of the most prominent main street - Broadway Street/Biltmore Ave. In 2 - 3 blocks you are in the heart of downtown.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in and every interaction feel warm and personal. The staff were great! The rooms were good for the price, though it was annoying that the tub didn’t drain and there was no electrical outlet near the desk. But still—I would stay there again! Location is excellent.

HORRIFIC & HEALTH HAZARD! To start, credit card was authorized for a higher amount than when booked through Expedia, not including the incidentals charge which was a separate charge. Stayed 4 nights, with 3 room changes. First room, no hot water at all. Second room, the AC wasn’t working & maintenance refused to come fix it until the next day. Our room was hot, humid & smelly. The furniture, sheets, towels & all our clothes were damp, wet & beginning to smell. We had to sleep in this unhealthy condition because the hotel was booked & couldn’t give us a new room & maintenance never showed. After finally speaking with the “regional director of operations” who happened to be on property the next day, we got moved to a third room. This one was infested with flies. We stopped counting after we killed 23 of them. The “regional director of operations” advised he’d comp our stay for all the inconveniences when he moved us into the third room, but upon checkout not surprisingly he said that he never promised that. He immediately refused to listen to the report of the flies in the new room, or even acknowledge there were any problems with our experience at all. He was rude, aggressive, combative & unprofessional with his raised voice & theatrics storming around the front desk. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! It is literally a health hazard & the person who says he’s in charge refuses to do anything about it, or compensate people for the disgusting experience.

The stay was fine overall and a decent place to lay your head for the night. It's close to most of the stuff downtown when is convenient. My only gripe is the elevator was quite slow and we resorted to just walking the stairs when we came and left haha.

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good with many options. However, one reason we booked the hotel was because it had a pool. When we arrived we were told that it was out of service, but we could use the pool at the YMCA across the street. We didn’t want to walk there with our bathing suits and without a lock for a locker. So, we were disappointed. In addition, there was no information in the room about the hotel ammenities or check-in/check out or hotel rules. The front desk staff did seem to have correct answers to some of our questions.

The overall stay was good. The location of the property is amazing - we were able to walk straight from the hotel to downtown and more. The only downside is that the property is old and we had issues with clogged sink and toilet in our room. The manager tried to fix it and gave us vouchers for complementary beer since they couldn’t move us due to the availability, however the issue was still there when we left.

The hotel is very old and outdated. The ambiance around seemed a bit unsafe to be out at night there was a lot of homeless just walking across the parking lot. Also as I was walking my dog there was a prostitute posted in the back entrance of the hotel. Obviously for the price you’re not going to get a 5 star hotel but I wouldn’t recommend this for a family stay.

Great location for a night in downtown Asheville. Rooms and bathrooms were in good condition. I would stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location. It's close to all of the downtown restaurants and shops. It has a free, large parking lot which was important to us because we were traveling in an oversized vehicle.

Affordable, centrally located, great parking, no room controls for temperature - 24 hour a day devastatingly loud fan in room sounded like an airport. Lots of other guests say this too

We had a nice stay. The staff were all very nice. It was easy to walk downtown for food, drinks, and entertainment.

We have stayed at other 4 Points before and this place just doesn’t stand up to the standards that we expected. If we had known the pool was going to be closed we would have booked elsewhere

I stay at Four Points when visiting Asheville every time I visit. It's convenient to downtown, a YMCA membership is included (while you're in Asheville. The staff is (with one exception) VERY helpful and I feel welcome each time I come. Units provide a microwave and refrigerator so you can have an easy meal. Trader Joe's is within walking distance

We had a problem with the TV, they moved us to a new room the next morning (when we reported it). Very friendly with directions.

the woman at front desk was saying hotels in downtown area do not let locals stay in there hotels I had already paid and reserved room so they let us stay but to me it was ridiculous and lady at front desk was really rude about it. I went there with husband to get away for Easter weekend, go out and visit shops and stuff in town something really haven't gotten to do since came here, apparently they only want tourists there but we spent money and did same things a tourist would do. I was just really surprised she acted that way especially after the flood this town went thru and so many people losing their homes and everything.

Easy check-in, clean room, variety of amenities provided, good location.

No complimentary breakfast, so we went out and discovered a wonderful coffee shop.

It was an okay hotel. Neither very good or bad. The room has very old furniture and TV. There was no microwave oven in our room. We has some food and we had to go to lounge to heat it. It was for one night so we just didnt complain about it but I would not want to experience that again.

Staff was friendly, on site restaurant was good, bed was comfortable and water pressure and shower head pressure was spa like. But only 1 elevator was in service and the A/C in the room was weak which left our room VERY warm even with the constant fan running.
