The Jacuzzi was broken. It was disappointing. The pool wall is cracked and broken. It was scary. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was comparatively poor quality.

I did like the breakfast. The lady with mask in the kitchen this morning needs to learn how to talk to clients.

The breakfast was weak and absurd that it runs from 6:30 to 9:30... Especially, how Holiday Inn Express markets itself. I've had better experiences for less money at other hotels in the area

Breakfast was yummy but the coffee machine was broken many times. parking was convenient. the sign on the street needs to be much larger as we passed it when we arrived.

Nice location. Heaven forbid you expect to have coffee available first thing in the morning. Breakfast was without any "gravy" for the biscuits. Breakfast begins at 6:30, but apparently they don't care about the coffee being available until closer to 7:00 AM. Front desk host in the AM cares more about his phone and texting than he does about the paying guests. Having TV on an entirely Spanish speaking channel helped me recall my Spanish classes from 40 years ago, This hotel was a bit out of our way, but having Outback, Red Lobster and Starbucks so close by is why we chose to stay here.

Check in was awesome. Room was clean. Area is nice. Crazy that their mini-fridges DON'T have a freezer portion. Outback right next door. Red Lobster a block away. Carrabba's very close too. Big problem with a room renting for this amount NOT having a freezer portion on their mini-refrigerator.

The overall experience was pleasing. The staff was pleasant, rooms were clean, hallways were clean and quiet, and breakfast was stocked. The parking lot was full but it didn’t seem overly crowded traveling from the elevator or breakfast.

This hotel is good as expected. I booked Holiday Inn Express for a reason. In particular, I want to shout out to the friendly staffs.

Clean, comfy beds. Friendly staff. Only problem we had was we like it on the cooler side and our room temp was set to 63 and we couldn't get it below 68 even after having Maintenance check it on the first day but overall great experience.

All the Staff I encountered (day and night) were very courteous and helpful! No complaints there. The Breakfast was good and our room was very clean. However, parts of the property are VERY rundown and in much need of repair. The bench seats in the restaurant are cracked and peeling and the shower bench in our ADA room has split padding, part of the frame is rusted and because the padding is split the padding inside the seat is moldy. Honestly, this is unsanitary and completely unacceptable.

When we checked in the room,I ordered a king suite.I was told that all the king suites were occupied and that my king suite was under maintenance (had been for over (the room had been in maintenance at least 3).O was told they called Expedia and Expedia was supposed to notify me.I cant find a notification. The front desk told me I was getting a king studio and a$15 discount for each day we stayed. I was clear this offer was not acceptable. We get to the studio and the room is horrible. I asked to speak to the manager.Was told she was out until tomorrow. I hope to talk to her tomorrow. This is a nightmare

Easy to get downtown

Room was clean, well thought out. Loved having extra hooks to hang clothes/bags. Staff was very personable. You could always see someone cleaning the various public areas. Hot tub jets were not functioning. Breakfast had a nice anount of options.

Most everything was absolutely perfect, except the male person helping at the desk when we checked in. I let him know I had my service dog with me. He informed me that I wouldn’t be allowed to leave him in the room for any amount of time alone. We typically try to respect others and not take him in restaurants for dinner service as it is busy. So when I tried to explain this to him he seemed irritated about that. Upon further investigation when we got to our room, that is not something he can dictate. We usually are met with pushback just because of so many people abusing the system with fake service dogs, but ours is not one and can be observed doing everything he is supposed to. I do want to say that the suite was large and beautiful. The rooms were nice and the bed slept well. We did not indulge in the breakfast although it was very clean. Maybe this person could be retrained. The young lady he was training was simply amazing at her job even though she had only been there a few days.

Clean fabulous gulf view nice pool great location

The room was clean and spacious! We had our family Christmas celebration there. There was seating for everyone to watch the Olympics too. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was large enough for a couple of people to get ready in there. Very pleased!

Room was decent. Clean. The fridge wasn’t that cold to store our food and the towels were thin & fraying on all the edges, but besides that - good!

We really enjoyed our stay. The continental breakfast had many options and was delicious. The staff was top-tier. I wish I remembered the name of the guy who checked us in, but he was awesome.

The room was clean and the staff tidied up the room each day. We accidentally left out and envelope with a large sum of cash inside and it was still intact on the bed when we returned. We were very impressed.

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. It was absolutely immaculate. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room and hotel was impeccable clean. I was in room 107, which is the closest to the front desk. It was a fantastic location, except during the breakfast buffet. The chairs made allowed noise when being moved. Not a huge deal, but I would recommend putting some padding underneath or tennis balls. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. As mentioned. The cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic. They had rubber gloves and masks along with hand sanitizer at various locations and readily available. Location was great too a few fast food restaurants such as, Wendy's, McDonald's, Panda Express, etc.

Room was clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed for our quick night stay in Asheville. The pancake machine was not working at breakfast and they did not have some of the regular offerings we are used to, but they did have other offerings that were fine. They have a pretty Mountain View off the back porch of the dining area, which was nice to enjoy fresh air and a comfortable sitting area out there while we enjoyed breakfast. Parking was easy and well lit in the parking garage.

I had an amazing time at the hotel! It was super clean, the front desk staff were so friendly, and the rooms were huge and cozy. When we first booked, I was a bit bummed that we couldn’t stay downtown Asheville, but as soon as we arrived at the Holiday Inn, my feelings instantly changed. I’m so glad we decided to stay here. We’ll definitely be back!

The bagels in the bread was stale, and there wasn't any staff regularly attending to tables as people were leaving. So there were a lot of dirty tables and no staff around to help address the issue. The receptionist and front desk attendant did not greet us upon arrival, but she was efficient and checking us in.

Rooms were clean. Bathrooms are on the small side but it was fine for 2 nights. We didn't hear any road noise from our rooms. The breakfast was okay, a little less options than other Express properties we have stayed in. We would stay here again.

Everything was excellent. Hotels.com though I will never use again. My niece paid $175 to the hotel upon departing. I never received any refund, plus the added $75 booking fee which was never disclosed.

Room was very clean and had good amenities (safe, microwave, minifridge, coffemaker, blower). Good A/C, daily housekeeping. Walls are not that much soundproof as the website states, you can hear people and the housekeepers in the hall and in the room above, but not so early in the morning.Breakfast is awesome, hot and with many options to select from, and the coffee was very good for a hotel. Hotel is in a good, safe area, with an Outback Steakhouse in the backyard and many food options and a supermarket at walking distance. Only 4 minutes to dowtown Asheville. There is plenty of parking spaces. The frontdesk employees are very nice. Didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi, but thwy seem clean and well maintained. Would recommend and stay again.

The hotel was very nice. I have back problems and the bed was the best. It was quiet. I stayed two nights and never really heard any other guests. All the employees were friendly and professional. Room was clean and felt "newer" than some of the other places I've stayed.

Room was wonderful. My only complaint is that the staff closed the breakfast room at 9:30 and it’s not supposed to end until 10. They also started putting up chairs and turned off the TV’s at this time, while there were still a good amount of people eating. Otherwise, everything else was great. Front desk staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It was a little hard to get to, but they do the best they can to compensate for less than optimal access. Saff was very friendly and accommodating. Property was very clean and well maintained. Offered complimentary breakfast, but we left before it opened. We would definitely stay there again.

The stay in Asheville was delightful. Although we arrived late in the evening, we enjoyed a walk to Outback for dinner. The room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable.

The staff here makes it perfect! It's already a great hotel, but EVERYONE from the front desk to the cleaning crew is the best. My favorite part is at breakfast the gal who makes pancakes for you and is so efficent and sweet! Keep it up.

We stayed in the two bedroom sweet. 2 adults with 2 older teens. It was nice to have the extra space for our 4 night stay. Very clean! Staff was friendly. Breakfast was pretty much exactly the same every day.

The breakfast was lacking. The juice machine was not working and appeared to be not working long enough they had a laminated sign on it. It is right on highway and no real view to speak of. Some construction around site. Kids also running in halls but the staff did finally take care of the kids playing tag

Two staff members at check in were fabulous! Very pleasant, hospitable and Made sure our friend’s room was beside ours. Our room had some issues, cell phone plug in outlets would not work. There was also a buzzing sound through the night. We could not figure out where it was coming from. Had to use a sound machine to go to sleep.

I arrived late and checked out the next morning. The entrance was under construction, but the room was nice and renovated.

The pool was very small and the hot tub was not operating. The outside area - parking lot, neighboring properties - seemed a little sketchy, no easy way to walk to nearby restaurants except through various parking lots. The rooms were in good shape, the staff was pleasant.

Very good location for Asheville. Only about 1.5 miles from downtown. Outback restaurant adjacent to the parking lot. A lot of construction work being done with a crane in front of the building, but it wasn't bad. The staff was great and the room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast included each morning. I liked the property and I would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn.

The stay was great. The price was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the Breakfast was amazing with real eggs and sausage and pancakes and the check in and out was very smooth. They were doing renovations in the parking lot, but they didn't make any noise during sleep time. Highly recommend this hotel.

The entrance to the hotel is inconvenient. You have to really look for it. The front of the hotel parking lot smelled like garbage.

We did not like the fact rooms had tub/shower, bedroom temp warmer than sitting room, NO CINAMMON ROLLS, Juice machine was not cool and not much variety for breakfast.

The rooms was terrible, small like someone was there without a shower. The pillows were dirty, bathroom shower had no pressure. Told the staff member about my staying and she said ohh I’ll make a report.

Breakfast was not as good as at other locations. Parking was a problem as they had corded off most of the parking for tree maintenance.

Convenient location to downtown

The overall breakdown of this property is that it has the basic hotel accommodations, but where they really lack is the option of the pool ability. The pool is in a very unsafe condition and should be closed off until any/all repairs are made. Tiles braking as you walk on them, hand rails very loose, windows breaking away from its structure, mold growing on multiple areas due to insufficient exhaustion of the humidity within the pool area. It should be closed for anyone's safety.

The property was wonderful, but we were very put off when the lady came in from outside smelling like weed. She was polite, but it was very unprofessional and made me nauseous.

Nice and clean, lots of construction going on, outdoor swimming pool is a joke. So small, not even as large as a jacuzzi. Clean room, but towels were scratchy and not soft at all, Actually hurt my skin while toweling off. Location is problem, very hard to find and crammed behind other buildings. Parking was hard to drive, very curvey and had large tractor equipment at the front door. Would not go again.

Wonderful place!

I love how big the rooms are. There is tv in the rooms and in the living room. 1/2 toilet and 1 t/b. The beds are comfortable and the ac is really cold. The breakfast was good too except for the pancake machine that always runs out of batter. The hotel is near a grocery store and lots of restaurants around it too. The toiletries were Dove. The front desk wasn't there when i checked in had to wait for 5-7 minutes before she showed up. I like that they have a mini convenience store in the property.

Animal smell in room

The hotel was extremely and smelled fresh when you walked in. The staff was friendly and polite. Our room was very clean. I take my own wipes, Lysol and toilet covers. When my husband and started wiping things down there was no dust or debris on the wipes. The sheets was also ultra white and clean.

Breakfast is ok…not a lot of options but decent. One thing that was really nice is the scent in the hallways and lobby. Very nice.

The building and location were beautiful with views of the mountains. The service was excellent. Breakfast on the porch with cool mountain air was very nice. Outback Steakhouse located next door was convenient for evening meal.

Older property, staff at check in unwelcoming. Room was fine, similar to other HIE, though TV was an older model with no smart features or casting like we’ve had in other newer HIE. Breakfast was below average. No cold water to fill out bottles. Hot tub was not working. This was our third HIE in 4 nights and by far the worst of the 3.
